[00:00:02] Speaker A: Welcome. [00:00:02] Speaker B: Welcome back. [00:00:12] Speaker C: Okay, there's lag and then there's however far behind Daniel was. [00:00:19] Speaker D: It's a me. [00:00:20] Speaker B: Oh my goodness. It's a me. [00:00:22] Speaker E: What's the question? I couldn't even say it. [00:00:27] Speaker B: So we. This is another installation. Well, actually, this is what it'll be from now on. Silver Episode this. Yep. This is both the Accidental Adventures and the legend of the new ones at once. This is episodes 178 and adventure 251. Oh, that ice cream looks good, Andrea. I'm jelly. That's Tillamook too. [00:00:49] Speaker C: Best [00:00:52] Speaker B: before we get into it, we'll go through hopefully fairly quick letter question with everyone's characters. Yes, Maika. What's your question? Or did you want me to. [00:01:02] Speaker E: Yeah, that was probably either one. What's the craziest place to piss? Where's your character's dream place to piss? [00:01:13] Speaker B: Never mind. I want this question. I want this question. [00:01:15] Speaker A: Wait, what was yours? [00:01:16] Speaker B: No, this is so much better. And who's the DM npc? [00:01:22] Speaker A: I. [00:01:22] Speaker E: Which one are we going with? What question are we doing both? Is it a trade off? [00:01:27] Speaker B: I. I think. I think people should be able to pick either what's the craziest place they have pissed or what's their dream pissing place. [00:01:33] Speaker A: I think the dm. I think the DM NPC should be whoever that guy is that knocked on our door. [00:01:39] Speaker B: Okay. [00:01:40] Speaker C: The guy outside. The guy that we don't know. [00:01:43] Speaker B: And answer. [00:01:44] Speaker C: We don't know who it is, but we're gonna know where he wants to piss. [00:01:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll do that one. [00:01:51] Speaker A: Janice. [00:01:51] Speaker E: Janice will go first. She would like to piss off of the ledge at the amethyst at the mansion. Amethyst Castle. [00:02:03] Speaker B: What? [00:02:04] Speaker C: Oh, from the Wildlands? [00:02:07] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:02:08] Speaker B: Yeah. That's incredible. What an answer, Cara. Oh, that's a deep cut, dude. Yeah, let's go with Mickle. [00:02:19] Speaker A: Me. [00:02:22] Speaker B: I think my name. [00:02:25] Speaker C: Don't start like that. [00:02:28] Speaker E: Can you go to someone else? I'm not ready. [00:02:31] Speaker B: Sure. [00:02:31] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:02:32] Speaker C: What was your question, [00:02:35] Speaker B: Greta? [00:02:39] Speaker F: I feel like it must have been pretty crazy to piss in. Did the hats watch her while she pissed? [00:02:48] Speaker B: Hey, that's not. We didn't have to. I mean, is it a valid question in this world? Sure. Did we need to ask it? Absolutely not. I'm just gonna. [00:02:58] Speaker D: Let's. [00:02:58] Speaker B: Let's not go there. And I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna hopefully say no. [00:03:02] Speaker F: Then I'll say I think it must have been pretty crazy to piss in the. In the. In the one island where everything was like. If you do magic. You'll go upside down. I feel like she was maybe, like, am I. If I. Am I gonna. [00:03:17] Speaker E: Like. [00:03:18] Speaker F: I feel like that was probably scary. [00:03:20] Speaker B: Is it gonna come out somewhere else or how does this work? Dude, Blue and Farty was a fever dream, and that was this campaign as we move through these dramatic, powerful episodes. Remember Blue and Farty. Never forget. Hold on, I'll go ahead and produce dinner real fast. Never forget Boswell morphing into the ostrich, laying an egg and saying, dinner is served. Never forget. [00:03:44] Speaker A: But he wasn't even the one that got Blue and Farty because of that. [00:03:47] Speaker B: No, it was you. It was you. [00:03:49] Speaker A: I had a rough time in the. In the lost lands. [00:03:52] Speaker B: I'm just gonna say it. That was one of the best. [00:03:54] Speaker C: I wrote the worst. [00:03:57] Speaker B: Javion, get that piss question. [00:04:01] Speaker C: Javian in his college days was. [00:04:05] Speaker B: Oh, I [00:04:08] Speaker C: one time. Him and some nobles from a neighboring country and who were college and their roommates. He has pissed in. After the opera. He pissed off of. He was very, very drunk off of like the balcony box [00:04:32] Speaker B: at the. [00:04:32] Speaker A: Aw, not at the. Awful. [00:04:35] Speaker B: Awful. [00:04:36] Speaker C: It was a really, really. Yeah, it was really drunk. It was a big dare. [00:04:42] Speaker B: That's Dark Frog. What's. Ooh. I really love the. Is that a grace? [00:04:50] Speaker C: A year later, that opera received a very big. A very big donation from the Crown Telekinob. [00:05:10] Speaker B: All right, Janice. [00:05:12] Speaker F: Damn. I think you have to make a sword called Unfathomably. I think you have to make. I think that has to be a Y blade. [00:05:22] Speaker C: Now does we still have the fart lot? [00:05:26] Speaker B: Yes. And no one has ever used it. Yes. Mesmet's unfortunate wand. She still has it. Fart Unfathomably short will be a weapon that both casts grease and also stinking cloud every time. What's. What's wrong with him's piss answer? [00:05:50] Speaker D: You said the place that he wishes to. [00:05:54] Speaker B: Yeah, that's also an option. [00:05:57] Speaker D: I think there's a lot of options. Ron Grimm probably did both growing up in with his friends and [00:06:06] Speaker B: in the, [00:06:07] Speaker D: you know, sailing world. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff there. I think the one he really wants to now is one that he'll never get to again. But, you know, I think. [00:06:20] Speaker B: How did you make this sad? [00:06:21] Speaker D: Yeah, it's a rotten Grim baby. But he. He probably wants to piss off the wave buckler again, which is the ship that got floundered in the ocean. [00:06:33] Speaker B: And so I don't know if you need this sentimental, but that was kind of moving. [00:06:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:38] Speaker D: Yeah, I think that's the one he'd do. And it's like just crazy enough. [00:06:44] Speaker B: But yeah, I like it. It's a. I can't believe you came up with a character driven answer. But that was solid. Who have I not asked? Have I asked Craig? [00:06:52] Speaker A: Oh, go ahead. So Ro would not ever piss somewhere that she didn't have to. And if she did, she'd immediately press to digitate it. So I guess the worst place for her would be off the poor bet and then immediately press the digitated. [00:07:09] Speaker F: It's going in the ocean. [00:07:10] Speaker A: She doesn't want it to go in the ocean. She doesn't want her piss in the ocean. [00:07:14] Speaker D: You're saying you can piss and cast a spell at the same time? That's crazy. [00:07:21] Speaker A: Press the digitation easily. [00:07:24] Speaker C: She whistles it. [00:07:25] Speaker A: She just has to whistle so she can whistle while she pees. [00:07:30] Speaker B: And it's immediately disapparating. [00:07:34] Speaker F: So wait, so wait. So wait. [00:07:35] Speaker B: So wait, I have it. [00:07:37] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. [00:07:38] Speaker F: What you're telling me is that Ro anywhere, if she's just standing and whistling, she could actively be pussing in her pants and then making it go away. [00:07:48] Speaker C: You've been wondering why [00:07:51] Speaker F: she could just pee anywhere at any time time as long as she immediately whistles and makes it go away. [00:07:56] Speaker B: So what you're saying, Ro, is that you could do a little pissy right in her pants. She could do a little pissy, but she wouldn't need to use her hands. She could do a little in her pants. She could do a little pissy. She could do a little. You're gonna have this reaction. Unmute yourself. If you're gonna have that much joy, unmute yourself and share it. [00:08:15] Speaker A: I think where she would want to pee is I think she would like to. To piss on Biscuit's grave. [00:08:24] Speaker B: Hypocrite. [00:08:25] Speaker A: And she wouldn't press the tid dated away. Why am I a hypocrite? [00:08:30] Speaker E: No, I'm not. I can't unmute during a laugh is because there's just three to four second. Literally a three to four second delay between when I click it and when it actually unmutes. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Fair. [00:08:44] Speaker E: So I can't. [00:08:45] Speaker B: What's Craig's [00:08:48] Speaker E: One time he had a really unkind boss and so he took him out for drinks and he might have urinated into his beer after his third year. [00:09:10] Speaker A: And [00:09:13] Speaker B: no, it was kind of toasty. [00:09:16] Speaker A: This is definitely old Craig. [00:09:19] Speaker F: Piss in a beer without him noticing. [00:09:22] Speaker B: Dude. [00:09:23] Speaker E: No, I think it'd be like his. [00:09:24] Speaker C: It was a really diving bar. [00:09:27] Speaker B: Well, I don't know. [00:09:28] Speaker A: I don't know that he did. [00:09:30] Speaker E: He did it. And. And the satisfaction of watching his boss drink Craig's like his own piss was a really beautiful experience. I think that the boss maybe did something really bad to like Catherine or I don't know, like Tim or when [00:09:45] Speaker B: I was a jerk when I agreed to this question. I never thought you would do this. Also on the gymnastics team, something like that happened. But we'll just keep moving. No, you can't do that. [00:10:00] Speaker E: You cannot do that. Cannot do that. [00:10:03] Speaker C: Mrs. Nice bathrooms just. Bathrooms just aren't good. Since becoming an adventure, the man at the door honestly. [00:10:16] Speaker B: Has peed on the body of a person he killed. [00:10:19] Speaker A: Oh, [00:10:21] Speaker B: is this so that means. That means he has also. This is a. He has also urinated in someone else's house when they weren't there. Not. Not their bathroom. Oh, [00:10:39] Speaker F: did you know? [00:10:40] Speaker B: All right, let's start the session. [00:10:42] Speaker C: I think there's a reason had an idea of who it is. I don't know why that maybe think about it, but we'll see. [00:10:48] Speaker B: Daniel, this is the most excited he's been all session note taking nerds. This is episode 178 of the Accidental Adventures and Adventure 251 of the Legend of the New Ones. Remnant of resistance. [00:11:00] Speaker E: What? [00:11:03] Speaker D: Yep. [00:11:04] Speaker C: Remnant of resistance. [00:11:06] Speaker D: No. [00:11:07] Speaker A: Okay, [00:11:10] Speaker B: Daniel, just going. [00:11:14] Speaker A: Resistance sounded out. [00:11:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:11:17] Speaker B: The first one was fungi coated. The second one was Warrior. The well coded. All right, So without a further ado, let's get right back into it. Hey, hey. You two cannot start fighting. You two cannot. I'm recording. You can't. You are not allowed to. All right. Everyone does. Okay, Shippoo Goober has come panting to the door and has told you of this person. What is everyone but Greta doing? [00:12:02] Speaker D: I lead the way to go see this person. [00:12:08] Speaker A: Who. [00:12:10] Speaker B: Yes, okay. Javian stands still and asks who? Anybody else doing anything? [00:12:15] Speaker E: I prepare my talking points. [00:12:19] Speaker B: All right. [00:12:20] Speaker E: I prepare my slide deck. [00:12:23] Speaker B: So we're only working with wrong Grim, then. [00:12:25] Speaker A: No, wait. [00:12:26] Speaker B: As you charge out of the home and enter back into that central room, I am too. There is a man in the entryway of the open back door. It is hard to tell what time it is in the day. Rogue can tell innately. But for everyone else, afternoon, evening, it's not night. Because night now is like pitch black. But it's so dark already because of this like near nuclear winter you're in mixed with the winter weather. And so in the dim shadow of the door, there is a man standing there. His race is a little hard, or his heritage is a little Hard to determine right off the bat. After a moment's examination, he appears to have maybe been half elven, but half been. He is sulid. He looks like a man who has lived outside of culture, outside of society, for who knows how long. He is dressed in tattered garments. It's a little unclear. They don't even really look like clothes. They look like tarps and things sort of just bound around a person that were found. They are worn thin. They are stained with dirt and time sweat. He reeks. His hair is matted into dreads around his head and not the lovely kind people can make and keep. It's matted like an animal's fur and he has a fair amount of dried blood on him and it's a little hard. After a moment, you realize that he did have pallid blood, light skin at some point, but it's so stained by a lot of blood, dried blood, this yellowish red that's washed in these gray tones. It's so weird when you open the back door because it's like looking into this grayscale world where color exists, but there's so few things upon which color can find purchase other than the wooden fence and the parts of the partially constructed oven that are not covered in ash and snow. And this man's just standing in the doorway, finally being painted by color from the candles in your own home. And so he's taking on this weird grayish, orangish hue from the different light sources. And his wronggrim rushes out there and then one by one, everyone behind him, this man is just standing there in the doorway with this kind of excited, not manic, just fascinated look on his face as he looks at each of you all. He has this strange glee. He's got a kind of half smile. And Shippagooper just looks nervously at him. Bellandra looks like she has a spell half cast up her arm. And Ehmund Kai is furiously putting on pieces of armor in the background with this awkward shuffling sound. Thespis is as well. He's dragged his armor to the next room and is slapping it on, but it's gonna take them a while. [00:15:54] Speaker D: I pull out my weapon and I don't brandish them, but I say, speak your peace before we can I have [00:16:04] Speaker E: divine sense, please can I use. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Okay. As Rongrim issues the ultimatum, Craig, you reach to your neck and hold grasp the symbol of a maker about which you may or may not have complicated feelings at this moment. But this emanation of energy flows out from the you, the creature that stands in the doorway pings neither fae nor fiend nor undead. Undead or also celestial. None of those. Though you do sense emanating from him, he registers as none of those things. But you do sense. A celestial power. And not. A malignant one. A malignant celestial power oozes off of him. [00:17:07] Speaker A: Wait, not a malignant one or a malignant one? [00:17:10] Speaker B: A malignant. [00:17:11] Speaker A: Okay, I got confused. [00:17:15] Speaker E: What, Craig, what does that, I don't know what that word means. [00:17:20] Speaker B: Stinky, big bad. Stinky big bad. Ooh, death bad. [00:17:24] Speaker F: It means like, like people are angry or like ill intentioned song. [00:17:30] Speaker B: Okay, in response to the thing. [00:17:34] Speaker D: Wrong. [00:17:34] Speaker B: Grim. Did he just. He just cocks a half smile. You sense that, Craig? But immediately he responds and he says, I'm. I, I, I. Is this a bad time? [00:17:50] Speaker A: Ro motions to the outside a little. Yeah, Ro has her loot at the ready too, by the way. Like she, her hands are just hovering over it. [00:18:02] Speaker B: Would you. [00:18:05] Speaker E: I, [00:18:07] Speaker B: I could come back later or. [00:18:12] Speaker D: What do you intend to do? [00:18:14] Speaker A: Who are you? [00:18:19] Speaker B: I, I, I wanted to. I mean, I'm hungry if you have food, but if not, that's fine. I was, I was just kind of, I mean, there's nothing to do. It's all kind of done. So maybe just to talk if you want, but I understand. If not, [00:18:41] Speaker E: what's all done? [00:18:45] Speaker B: He like, he does this really weird thing where he mirrors the exact gesture that who demonstrated to outside? Was it Ro? Yeah, he just does this really weird thing where from where he's standing, he suddenly like adopts her posture and mimics the exact same behavior she did. Like kind of masterfully mimicking her arm and like pointing to the door. I mean, not masterfully, but just. Well, he like behaves exactly like her for a second and then he does this. He like kind of parrots her voice a little bit and he goes, it's all done. Pointing it outside. Then he looks back and he just kind of gets this weird little smile. Like, like he's like. It was amusing that he did that. And then he goes and he kind of like thinks for a second. He puts his tongue to the roof of his mouth and he goes, skunk. Sk. I forget nothing. [00:19:51] Speaker F: We really need land in here. [00:19:55] Speaker B: He just smiles. [00:20:00] Speaker E: I don't understand. [00:20:03] Speaker F: No, you guys remember Skunk? [00:20:06] Speaker B: I remember the name. [00:20:08] Speaker A: Can I do a history check? [00:20:11] Speaker B: Well, this has nothing to do with your character. No, wait, but I remember the name. I mean, you can talk as players, but no characters know this person. [00:20:20] Speaker A: But my character doesn't know him. [00:20:22] Speaker F: Please talk. [00:20:24] Speaker B: This is Landon's character. [00:20:25] Speaker F: This is Landon's character, who, at the end of a one shot, became a 45 years ago, the power of Zorgrim and, like, became a servant of Zorgrim. It was like, at the end of a one shot, and he was like, allow me. [00:20:42] Speaker B: This is Landon's call four years ago. Come home to rooster. [00:20:47] Speaker A: Holy crap. [00:20:48] Speaker E: I need you to leave our home. What's done is done, okay? And I need you to leave. [00:20:58] Speaker B: I need you to get out of it, okay? And he just turns around and starts walking away. [00:21:04] Speaker A: Why are you here? Like, here to see. Are you here to see us? [00:21:10] Speaker B: He turns back and bites his lip a little bit, and he just nods. But I. [00:21:20] Speaker C: Are you here to help? [00:21:21] Speaker B: I. I don't want to be rude. I. I said, it's okay. You're all bad, so good night. And he just reaches over and grabs the door handle and starts to close it behind him. [00:21:44] Speaker A: Then he. [00:21:45] Speaker E: If y' all want to talk, I'll talk outside. I don't want him in the house. [00:21:50] Speaker A: Ro. Against my better judgment. [00:21:53] Speaker C: Ro. [00:21:54] Speaker A: Ro looks at. She looks at Rongrum and she goes, he may. I don't know. He seems weird. He may know something. [00:22:03] Speaker D: You have five minutes to get the information you want for him. [00:22:07] Speaker A: Ro runs out after him. Don't know why I'm the one doing this. [00:22:11] Speaker D: I. I also, I. I am outside the house. Like, I'm not leaving her alone for me yet. [00:22:18] Speaker B: The door opens, and Ro jogs outside. Rongrim follows. It is bitterly cold out here. It's cold inside the house, but it's terribly cold out here. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Did we have any food, like, on the counter or anything? [00:22:30] Speaker B: Sure. People can have been pulling out food and snacking on it throughout the day as you guys. [00:22:34] Speaker A: I grabbed something because he had said something about wanted food, so I grabbed, [00:22:37] Speaker B: like, does anyone else pass outside or just Rowan? Rongrim? It's fine. [00:22:40] Speaker E: If not, I'm watching through the window. [00:22:43] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. All right. It's just you, too, as you all run outside into the frigid cold. You. [00:22:50] Speaker E: Do we have window. Like, are there. [00:22:52] Speaker B: There is one window, this small glass window from the kitchen outside that you can look through. [00:22:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Can you open it front of the house? You can lift it slightly. See, you lift up. [00:23:02] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna do that just so that I have a line if I got a sharpshooter. Anybody? [00:23:07] Speaker F: Okay. [00:23:09] Speaker B: It's a very narrow aperture, but that's fine. [00:23:11] Speaker E: That's okay. [00:23:13] Speaker B: You said what? Javing. [00:23:15] Speaker C: I'll go out too. [00:23:16] Speaker B: Okay. So the three of you are Standing outside, even warmly dressed. It's terribly cold out here. And he's standing in the. There are parts of his skin that are exposed, but where he stands, there's just steam rising off of him. Like the cold's not bothering him because he's producing so much heat. And he's just treading away, just into the field as you run out. [00:23:39] Speaker A: Mr. Skunk here comes back. She holds out the bread or whatever it was in her hand. [00:23:47] Speaker D: Okay. [00:23:49] Speaker B: He stops for a long while and just kind of looks at it and studies your hand. He looks up at you with an intensity, and he gets this weird scowl on his face. Like. Then he bites his lip a little bit, and you watch, he bites it. There's this really deep scar in his lip right here. And he bites it till it bleeds a little bit. He licks a little. And then he walks up and takes the bread and he goes, thanks. And his hand just briefly sets on fire and he begins burning the bread in his hand. [00:24:21] Speaker A: Cool. [00:24:21] Speaker B: And then as it starts to char and blacken, he extinguishes it and then starts crunching on the, like, charred, burned bread. [00:24:28] Speaker C: Is the fire normal or red? [00:24:34] Speaker B: You did not follow, nor are you looking through a window. [00:24:37] Speaker C: I said I followed. [00:24:38] Speaker F: Did you not hear me? [00:24:40] Speaker B: I'm sorry. [00:24:40] Speaker A: You did. [00:24:44] Speaker E: But also, I'm going to notice the same thing. [00:24:46] Speaker B: It's deeply reddish, very familiar fire. [00:24:50] Speaker C: Sort out. [00:24:52] Speaker B: Okay. The sword as the. As the gold gems towards sword produces. He gets a good smile on his face and he goes, I don't think I could kill you. I like to. I don't think so. You can. [00:25:10] Speaker C: Why would you like to? [00:25:13] Speaker B: What was it like saying no to him? What did it feel like? [00:25:23] Speaker C: Good. [00:25:26] Speaker B: He gets this weird smile on his face and he goes, no, no, that's not what he felt like. Liar. Nope. I. I just kind of wanted to meet you guys. I just kind of wanted to know who you were, you know? [00:25:49] Speaker A: Do you have a message for us? [00:25:53] Speaker B: I mean, I. I want to talk to you, but I'm not here on, like, a mission or anything. And then he does that weird thing again where he, like, fully copies you in your body motion, gestures to the sky, and he goes, it's done. He looks back at you and keeps crunching on the, like, charred bread. He's clearly not like, well, and he's very unlike. I mean, Savina was a warlock, and this is nothing like that. This is a very different kind of person. And he continues. And he was like, I just. You're the herald who left. [00:26:37] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:26:37] Speaker C: Sorry. You weren't chosen. [00:26:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:26:42] Speaker C: So you just here to taunt us? [00:26:45] Speaker B: The bread cracks in his hand a little bit, and he gets angry. He stops and he goes, I don't taunt. Your sister's dead. I don't. What could I do? [00:26:59] Speaker C: The tip of it touches him. [00:27:01] Speaker B: Okay? He, like. He, like, transfers the bread to his other hand, and then he puts two of his fingers on either side of the sword and, like, kind of rubs it a little bit. He's just weird. And then he pushes it into his shoulder just a little bit. And he, like, winces and kind of like. And then he just pushes the sword down his shoulder as it cuts through some of his clothing and his skin. Are you gonna do it, Javion? [00:27:34] Speaker C: I. I pull it out. [00:27:37] Speaker B: He steps toward you, you spineless little coward. [00:27:46] Speaker C: Okay. [00:27:46] Speaker B: Tell me why I was murdering you. [00:27:48] Speaker C: Random wits person. [00:27:50] Speaker A: Huh? [00:27:56] Speaker B: She. She was also in the room. She died, too. But she didn't. No crown. So that's you. [00:28:13] Speaker C: Which cr. Which crown you're. [00:28:17] Speaker B: And then he just points at the circle on your head and he goes. Never quit wearing one. Hypocrite. Thirani wasn't royalty. Stupid little servant girl. Doesn't matter. [00:28:30] Speaker C: Do I know that name? [00:28:31] Speaker B: To shaving. Give me, like, a really high D.C. history check. You have advantage. You still have foresight. [00:28:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I was just wondering if he was referring to, like, some. Some. Ronnie. [00:28:48] Speaker B: T h a r a n I. T h a r a n I. [00:28:56] Speaker C: R a n I 21. Oh, wait. History. Sorry. History of proficiency. 27. [00:29:12] Speaker D: Hell yeah, brother. [00:29:13] Speaker B: Oh, that. That name rings two bells. That's the name of a warlock of Zorgrim you were warned about by Alandra. A while back. Someone. [00:29:23] Speaker C: Oh, Captain. [00:29:26] Speaker B: Called the harrowed hell where everyone was under her command. And then all of a sudden, with a 27, this bell rings so far back in your brain. Therani. Meltharan. Therani is a short nickname for Meltharan. Meltharan was the name of one of the maidservants of your sister. Lashla cleared out the room. She killed you guys. But she killed anybody in there. Seven servants died that day. Miltarani was another one. It's like a nickname, like shortening Jacqueline to Jackie, but it's not an uncommon name for your culture, so there wasn't too much to make of it. And he just weirdly pivots right on from that topic. Keeps moving, and he goes, I won't get to be there when he drinks the last and destroys all of it. [00:30:31] Speaker C: Why would he pick a Sagat? [00:30:32] Speaker B: But I I still want to feel the flames, so I thought I'd come and meet the first ones to burn. [00:30:42] Speaker C: Oh, you want to die with us? How nice. [00:30:47] Speaker B: He gets this weird look of realization, and he goes, yeah, okay, yeah. Do you like that failed herald? We could do that. [00:31:11] Speaker D: During this conversation, is it possible for me to have. [00:31:15] Speaker C: Yeah, you're. [00:31:17] Speaker D: Well, yeah, but I mean, circumnavigated all the way around to the back side of him. [00:31:21] Speaker B: Bong. Jim. Not only are you fully capable of that motion as you circle him, he doesn't react. He doesn't even turn his head. He's, like, fixated on Javion. As he talks to him, you get fully behind him. He's flanked, and he has no particular reaction. [00:31:41] Speaker D: I just wait. [00:31:42] Speaker B: Yeah. Mm. What do you want to do? Empty vessel. What do you want to do? Empty vessel. [00:31:57] Speaker C: Seeing Rod green. I. I'll make eye contact, just kind of see if Rodriguez said something. [00:32:07] Speaker B: You. You. [00:32:08] Speaker D: You're making eye contact to see if I say something? [00:32:11] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Just kind of like. Like a. [00:32:13] Speaker B: Are you trying to be particularly subtle, Javian Meh. [00:32:19] Speaker C: I mean, yeah. [00:32:21] Speaker B: Okay. Give me either a deception or a stealth Check. Either one. [00:32:30] Speaker A: I probably stepped away from J. Like, I'm in between Ron Grimm and Javion. Like, he's here. Rongrum's here. Javion's here. I'm, like, here. [00:32:39] Speaker D: Okay. [00:32:41] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:32:41] Speaker A: Like, we're triangulating. [00:32:42] Speaker C: Like, only an 11. I'm. I'm frazzled. [00:32:47] Speaker B: Okay. As you. As you make that gesture at Rangrim, he, like, kind of looks at it. His head. Like, he, like, he gets. Just gets Rongrim in his periphery, and he gets this, like, really ecstatic smile, and he goes, yeah. And then all this blood pools in his eyes and fills at the edge of his lip, and you watch his hands, like, calcify into black obsidian, and a little bit of fire flicks up either side and he goes. Your call, Greta. [00:33:25] Speaker A: We forgot we were doing. [00:33:39] Speaker B: When you blink, like, you start to blink your eyes to vision before you have to kind of squeeze them shut again because they sting, and you instinctively raise your hand up in front of them to block something. Acridness, moisture, spray. As you move your hands forward, you're blocking spray, briny spray from your eyes. Ocean. As you move your hands back, waves are splashing up toward you. And as you lift your head away, you're kind of like. You, like, literally lift with it. You raise with your vision like you're flying. And then suddenly, as you blink hard, the landscape is flying by you. But it's no longer landscape at all. The ocean, it's not churning, it's not crashing. It's just waves somewhere out in the vast open ocean, almost still, but occasionally lapping against themselves. Also, if you're speaking, you're muted. This is the way is flashing beneath you, and you're just flying above it, this cerulean, rolling movement beneath you. [00:34:51] Speaker F: Yes. Do I feel temperature? [00:34:55] Speaker A: Yes. [00:34:55] Speaker B: As you sort of blink for a moment. Warm, pleasant, sunny, with a high of 80. Tropical even, but a cool, open ocean breeze. And you're just flying, bolting over, open. Oh, of. And you hear a voice say, each of the gods, each of the children were entrusted with something. I'd argue not all of us keep it equally well. I've been entrusted with what's been forgotten. Some things are forgotten because time moves mercurially. But other things get sealed away with spite, with intention. There was long ago sealed a provision. And in the distance, even though you're looking at bright day, you watch this star bloom in the day sky. A golden star, yellowish. You're not a master of cartography, but you spent a long time studying the night sky. Theris T H E R A S the Warm light, it's called. When you talked to Janice a year and a half ago, almost two after fighting Dolgoth, you all exchanged information about wellsprings, about sky mapping. And she told you about how she had learned that there were wellsprings. They could be mapped based off of the stars in the sky. She said they were the gold stars. Since then, it's occurred to you Theris must represent one. Which one? You're not sure. Janice didn't share those exact secrets with you. But it's shining in the sky during the day, in your vision, and as you're moving toward it, it's falling down the sky like it's getting further away, which doesn't make sense. You're moving faster and faster and faster and faster. The ocean is blurring into just a sheet of blue, indiscernible. And the sky is. Clouds are racing across the sky now, as if time is changing so rapidly, a day should be ending, but it's just continuing. And the star is falling further and further and further until it meets a point on the horizon. And from that point you see this little pulse of light and you just race even faster toward it. Could you give me a survival check relating to navigation? Only two players have made checks in the last two episodes, and that's just fascinating. Fascinating. I love a session driven by roleplay. [00:38:18] Speaker F: Is there a specific? It's just survival. [00:38:25] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:38:26] Speaker B: RO has proficiency in this now. And there's something with you relating to maps, but I don't think it's just general navigation, to my knowledge. [00:38:32] Speaker F: Okay. The only thing I could think of would be her time traveling with. [00:38:37] Speaker B: Yeah, but I think we would have. I think we would have calcified that into a given feature. If that. That's not on your sheet. I don't recall anything else. [00:38:48] Speaker F: That is a. It's a 23, you know. [00:39:01] Speaker B: I know. [00:39:03] Speaker D: I know. [00:39:03] Speaker B: When I remember back that you do roll under 20 sometimes. I just don't recall the last. The Sapphire Desert. It has to be. You're moving too much. There's too much blue. This is too open and empty of an expanse. This has to be in the Sapphire Desert. And as the vision races, you move further and further and further toward this point of light. It's as it smears toward your vision. You hear the voice say again. This promise was locked away a long time ago. An island forgotten. Today you'll remember it. And in the beginning, or in the distance, this landmass is starting to bloom, starting to rain. Please, Jen, you and wrong stand outside in the ash and the snow falling, the evening reaching and becoming darker. Bro, you're also there if you want to say something. Yes. Jackal jiggle. [00:40:16] Speaker A: No, I don't want to say anything. I'm there, though. I'm outside. [00:40:19] Speaker D: I'm there, though. [00:40:20] Speaker A: I'm there, though. [00:40:25] Speaker C: I. I say to him, what room? Where did you last see Savina? [00:40:33] Speaker B: Uh, he just kind of. Carrot. Yup, yup. You said. Where did you last see Savina? [00:40:45] Speaker E: Mm. [00:40:47] Speaker B: He just smiles and he goes, I never met her. I actually really wanted to. New vessel. But that's okay. It's not about me. Didn't need me. That's fine. It's over. So I kind of want to go back to what you were talking about. Are we dancing or. No. I can feel it. How much you hate me. Do it. Come on. Come on, you pompous little murder hypocrite. They're dead because of you, you coward. [00:41:31] Speaker D: At this point. [00:41:32] Speaker A: Hypocrite. [00:41:33] Speaker D: I'm gonna lean over. No, I'm not gonna lean over because I think this guy's probably taller than I am. Lean past. Yeah, lean past. [00:41:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:42] Speaker D: And I say, I wouldn't do. I would not murder him out of hatred. Savion. [00:41:51] Speaker A: I don't think he's worth it. [00:41:54] Speaker D: And then I look at him, and I. I would like to rage, and I just look at Him. [00:41:59] Speaker B: And I say, spirits appear. [00:42:03] Speaker D: I can kill people without hating them. [00:42:07] Speaker B: He turns around and looks at you and goes, Sure. And the fire traces up his arm, and he points two fingers at the fungi house as a little fire lists in front of his fingers. And he goes, I can fix that. [00:42:34] Speaker C: Subtle spell. Banishment. [00:42:37] Speaker B: Subtle spell. Oh, because you have the initiate. Don't you need to touch him for that? [00:42:42] Speaker C: For banishment? No, it's just his feet. [00:42:45] Speaker B: Am I wrong? Yeah, I bet you're right. Okay, what kind of saving throw is that for me? [00:42:53] Speaker C: Charisma. Charisma. [00:42:55] Speaker B: I want to say charisma. [00:42:56] Speaker C: DC 20. [00:42:58] Speaker D: Fairly soon. [00:43:06] Speaker B: He has a plus 11 to charisma saving throws. But I rolled a three. There's this flash of light, and then he's gone. [00:43:19] Speaker D: Just. [00:43:21] Speaker B: He disappears. [00:43:23] Speaker C: We have a minute to figure out what we're gonna do about this. Or can we just ignore him? [00:43:29] Speaker D: Can you against. [00:43:31] Speaker A: I don't want him house burn down. Our house. [00:43:35] Speaker D: Can you put up a wall against your house? [00:43:38] Speaker A: What do you mean, a wall? [00:43:40] Speaker D: Like some magical spell? [00:43:42] Speaker A: Like a magical wall circle. [00:43:45] Speaker E: I don't know if that'll be bigger. [00:43:46] Speaker B: And if anyone who's not Greta wants to hop in with something, they can. They can have heard and walk toward this or something. All options. [00:43:54] Speaker A: I don't think I have anything large enough. I'll. [00:43:58] Speaker E: I'll come out. [00:43:59] Speaker B: Okay, Janice, you tread outside. It's frigid out here because I watched [00:44:05] Speaker C: everything, so he clearly wants me to kill him, which means we can't do that. [00:44:11] Speaker D: Yeah, means you can't do that. [00:44:17] Speaker B: I love. I love Daniel so much. [00:44:24] Speaker E: Listen, I could just turn him into, like, a chicken or something. [00:44:29] Speaker A: We could do that. Yeah. [00:44:31] Speaker C: Oh, how long that lasts? Longer than a minute, doesn't it? [00:44:34] Speaker A: For all of time. [00:44:35] Speaker C: An hour or so. [00:44:41] Speaker E: How do we get him away from. Wait, I could just teleport. You could just leave him. [00:44:46] Speaker A: I mean. Well, I know Ro speaks up and goes, I think Balls has, like, something that'll, like, teleport you to, like, the kef capital or something. [00:45:01] Speaker B: We could send a grim face and goes, I can think of somewhere worse. [00:45:11] Speaker A: Oh, you have? He has. He has. That we could send him to. We could send him to Baba Yaga. [00:45:21] Speaker B: No, I don't think that's a good idea. I was just gonna send him to that place with all the tentacles. [00:45:26] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:45:27] Speaker E: We could keep him into a different plane. [00:45:30] Speaker B: Yeah, I sent the. Those other people there, and they didn't come back. [00:45:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:45:37] Speaker E: We have a cubic gate. [00:45:41] Speaker B: You feel the time nearing on your spell? [00:45:44] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:45:45] Speaker C: We. We don't have much time, but yes. Away from here, it's probably the best. Makes no sense for us to leave when he could. [00:45:52] Speaker D: I'd like to. It is a big fire damage and then reaction to make it cold damage before he comes. So I can do all these things. [00:46:03] Speaker B: All the ice appears. [00:46:06] Speaker D: I. I cannot banish. But I can attack whenever it is my turn. [00:46:11] Speaker A: Zach, can I. I don't play. Like, can I make that call for Boz or. No. Or do you do that? [00:46:20] Speaker B: Control him? That's how it works. [00:46:22] Speaker F: Okay. [00:46:23] Speaker A: I don't know how it worked. [00:46:26] Speaker B: You do. [00:46:26] Speaker A: What was it that he used? Was it plane shift that he used to do that? [00:46:32] Speaker B: Yes, it is plane shift. [00:46:34] Speaker A: And he can do that without it sending himself there. Right. Like, it just sends someone else there? [00:46:39] Speaker B: Yep. You can just send someone else. Now, the guy. He has to touch him, and the guy has to beat a dc. [00:46:44] Speaker A: Okay. [00:46:44] Speaker B: But if he. If he fails. [00:46:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:46:46] Speaker A: Let me look up the spell. [00:46:48] Speaker C: Hopefully it's not crazy. [00:46:50] Speaker B: You feel like you have 10, 12 more seconds. [00:46:57] Speaker D: He should run out here and get. I. I'm definitely putting my spot where he will be. You know what I mean? [00:47:03] Speaker B: Boss gathers near the place. [00:47:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:47:06] Speaker C: Are we ready? Yeah. [00:47:09] Speaker A: Boss gets ready to. To touch him as well. [00:47:17] Speaker D: Very different kind of Dutch. [00:47:20] Speaker B: Okay. All right. [00:47:24] Speaker A: I guess. [00:47:24] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:47:28] Speaker D: I. If it's possible, I would. Look, unless we're gonna go into initiative, whatever happens, I would like to try to be the last one to do the actions. Like, I want them all to do their spells first. [00:47:40] Speaker B: That can be a part of your readying. That can be a part of your readying. That you are readying an attack, but you're readying it after. Okay, so wrong is readying an attack after everyone has cast spells. Boz is readying plane shift. Anybody else doing anything? [00:47:55] Speaker E: Yes. Maybe. [00:47:56] Speaker F: Hold on. [00:47:57] Speaker E: I was muted. I was muted. [00:48:00] Speaker B: This is the way. And I'm not trying to pressure, but these decisions have to come quickly because the spell's about to happen. Yes. [00:48:05] Speaker E: If I can be out there and readying the. Oh, my gosh magic circle around. Specifically. If we're in, like, a cluster. Us, not him. Does that make sense? [00:48:20] Speaker A: In the middle of us? Yeah. He's going to come back to the middle of where we are. [00:48:25] Speaker E: Can we use you? We woo. And make her do the wall thing for wall spill. She has, like, a wall. Wind wall. Okay. [00:48:37] Speaker F: That don't. [00:48:38] Speaker E: What? I don't know, but it'll just obscure it. [00:48:45] Speaker B: I'm on wind wall. You can make wall 50ft long, 50ft high, thick. You can shake the wall any one you choose. The wall lasts the duration. When the wall appears, each creature within its area makes. Loose lightweight another or protection. Launch targets behind the wall. I deflected upon. That's really hard to roll. [00:49:10] Speaker D: Okay. [00:49:10] Speaker B: Is that what she's readying? [00:49:12] Speaker E: I don't know. Does that seem like some people? [00:49:15] Speaker B: It's just your call. [00:49:17] Speaker C: I will prepare my special never before seen six level spell. [00:49:23] Speaker B: Whoa. Oh, fun. [00:49:25] Speaker A: What? [00:49:26] Speaker B: Okay, is Craig doing anything? [00:49:29] Speaker E: I'll prepare command. If he tries to fight back, I will. I don't know. Prepare command, I guess. [00:49:35] Speaker B: Awesome. Kara, anything? It's fine. If not. [00:49:38] Speaker E: No, I'm just gonna prepare like a counter spell or something. [00:49:42] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:43] Speaker D: Smart. [00:49:46] Speaker C: Okay. [00:49:47] Speaker B: He reappears. Who's going first? Who's doing what? [00:49:52] Speaker C: I think we let boss go first. [00:49:54] Speaker A: Yeah, I think. [00:49:55] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:49:55] Speaker A: Buzz just reaches out and touches his shoulder and it make you make a. He makes a. Sorry. Where was it a melee spell attack against him. Where'd my dice go? Which is gonna be. [00:50:15] Speaker D: I am flanking most likely, right? [00:50:19] Speaker B: Yeah. That means he has advantage. [00:50:20] Speaker C: If it just spell attack, it's because I think it's trying to touch him is like what he tried to nugget touch. [00:50:26] Speaker E: And if he does that I. I do halt. I do command halt. [00:50:30] Speaker A: Wait, so since flanking, what does that mean? [00:50:34] Speaker B: Advantage. [00:50:35] Speaker A: Advantage. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Well, it dies twice. Take the higher number. If he hits charisma saving throw. [00:50:41] Speaker A: Okay, that is. Sorry. I'm looking at boss's sheet. What do I add to it? Melee spell attack. [00:50:50] Speaker B: His spell attack modifier. [00:50:52] Speaker A: I'm so [00:50:55] Speaker D: his wisdom and his proficiency. [00:50:57] Speaker A: Yeah, sorry, I just. Everything was in the wrong place for boss for a second. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:51:07] Speaker A: That's gonna be a 24 to hit. [00:51:11] Speaker B: Heck yeah. [00:51:13] Speaker A: And so that's going to be rushes [00:51:15] Speaker B: up and grab and these vines fly up and grab him. He's going to make a charisma saving throw, right? [00:51:21] Speaker A: Yes. And if he fails save D.C. [00:51:28] Speaker B: Well, I mean the role was low, but the modifier is high. [00:51:31] Speaker A: I have it on here. 19. [00:51:34] Speaker B: I got a 19. So as the vines rush up him fire just turns them instantly. They flash to like coal and crack and fade. The next ready to action. [00:51:49] Speaker C: Mass suggestion. [00:51:51] Speaker B: Okay. [00:51:53] Speaker C: Turn around and walk until you reach the ocean. [00:51:59] Speaker B: Okay. What's the duration on mass suggestion? [00:52:02] Speaker C: 24 hours. [00:52:04] Speaker B: Phenomenal. What's saving throw? Charisma wisdom. [00:52:10] Speaker C: Wisdom. DC 20. [00:52:14] Speaker B: He is going to expend his legendary resistance as the magic just washes off of him. The next reading action was Cara. Was there anything for from Janice. Or we will. It's fine if not. [00:52:31] Speaker E: No, it was just. I was gonna prep counter spell. [00:52:35] Speaker D: Okay. [00:52:35] Speaker B: Oh, so you haven't prepared for anything. Okay. Okay. [00:52:38] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:52:38] Speaker C: I can't believe. I can't believe that I got six level spells at what level? 11. And I finally cast it. Craig and you legendary. [00:52:51] Speaker E: Welcome to my whole life, actually. [00:52:54] Speaker B: Okay. Okay, Ms. Strongest Spell Class ever. Every role goes well for you, all right? [00:52:59] Speaker E: Not if they don't hit. [00:53:02] Speaker B: What'd you say? [00:53:02] Speaker C: You said you were going to do? [00:53:03] Speaker B: Halt command, Right? [00:53:07] Speaker E: Yeah, I was going to do command. [00:53:08] Speaker F: Halt. [00:53:09] Speaker A: So that. [00:53:09] Speaker B: Jack, what is the one word command you give Craig as you shout at him? [00:53:16] Speaker F: I can. [00:53:18] Speaker E: I do fleet. [00:53:22] Speaker B: And you shout in the deepest speech. What kind of saving throw? [00:53:29] Speaker E: That is a. One second. [00:53:33] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh, I'm so nervous. Oh, my goodness, I'm so nervous. [00:53:39] Speaker C: Hold on. [00:53:40] Speaker E: I can't find it. I don't see what. Oh, it's a wisdom saving throw. [00:53:52] Speaker B: Okay, what's your DC. [00:54:03] Speaker E: 17? [00:54:06] Speaker B: Craig, as you shout in the many tongues he has. He's raped. Raising his fingers and he just stops. He gets this concerned look on his face. And I rolled a two. So he just turns around and starts running. [00:54:23] Speaker C: Okay, how long? [00:54:25] Speaker B: What's the dimension on command? It's around. [00:54:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:54:29] Speaker B: This is just. [00:54:30] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. Hold on. [00:54:32] Speaker B: Or is it a minute or. [00:54:34] Speaker C: I think it might be around for command. One round. [00:54:38] Speaker B: So for six seconds, he's running as fast as he can. [00:54:42] Speaker C: So he gets 60ft away. Wait, did it help? [00:54:46] Speaker B: Not at all. You had the next ready action. Do you attack him or do you let him run? [00:54:54] Speaker C: Yeah, there's definitely tax opportunity here. [00:54:55] Speaker B: This is the way you're muted. [00:54:57] Speaker D: My bad. This is it. 34 and a 30 to hit. [00:55:01] Speaker B: 34 and a 30 will both hit. [00:55:03] Speaker D: Cool. I got 82 damage on him. Yeah, [00:55:13] Speaker C: we still trying with the barbarian. [00:55:17] Speaker B: As. As the command immediately ends. Snapped out. Describe what 82 damage looks like from the rock. [00:55:25] Speaker D: I mean, it is cold damage. It's just with my trident because I can't do my bonus action. [00:55:30] Speaker A: But [00:55:32] Speaker D: he brings up the trident with all its cold fury. And again, like, every moment, he looks like he's gonna, like, embrace a rage that is filled with hatred and anger and madness at everything that this person represents. And he knows the intention is important. So he turns into his cold, cold trident. And with no emotion, he grabs it and he's surgical look to the worst spot of guy and stabs. And then as he can, as he feels the coldness go into him, he calms down. Once More. Pulls it out and stabs once more. And I say, yeah. And I. I think he says, I will kill you without anger, without hatred, but I will kill you. [00:56:17] Speaker B: Okay. [00:56:18] Speaker D: Wrong. [00:56:19] Speaker B: Grim. There's just these jabs that stab in the back of the. Of his hamstring, and the ice surges at the back of his leg, and he just falls over in the snow. He yelps as he hits the snow. He looks up at you with this gleeful look on his face, and he goes, we're all gonna burn. And he lifts up his fingers, points. He lifts up his hand, points two fingers at the house, and launches this ball of fire. I need. All right, you can go ahead and roll for me, Janice. Can I guide her? Absolutely not. That's not even remotely how Action Economy works. She's using reaction. That's an action. You're not next door. Let me know what you got on that roll. [00:57:09] Speaker A: It sounded like you said, you're not an extrovert, not. You're not next to her. And I was like, what? [00:57:15] Speaker D: You're an expert. Okay. [00:57:20] Speaker C: Level of. You know, like, you are going to. [00:57:25] Speaker B: You are going to 10, plus your charisma modifier. Oh, Chris, you are trying to. No. Excuse me. You're gonna roll. It's only a D20, plus your charisma modifier. And you can technically add a per diem to this if you want. [00:57:44] Speaker E: Okay, hold on. [00:57:45] Speaker C: So you're not telling us. We just know it's above level three. It's cast at. [00:57:49] Speaker B: Yeah, because it doesn't automatically dissipate. [00:57:53] Speaker E: So I'm confused at what I'm rolling again, because all it says is, take [00:57:56] Speaker B: that D20 and just slap your charisma modifier on it. And then if you're like, I don't like that number. You could roll the D4 and add it on two. [00:58:06] Speaker E: Yes. Let me find the default. [00:58:07] Speaker B: If you want it, you have inspiration, but you don't have to use it. [00:58:10] Speaker E: I don't have inspiration because I gave it to Andrew. [00:58:13] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. Thank you for your honesty. [00:58:14] Speaker C: Of course. [00:58:18] Speaker E: Does this count as an attack? Is. Is this guy 22? [00:58:24] Speaker B: What? Micah. [00:58:27] Speaker E: No, Cara, you say your thing. 22. [00:58:35] Speaker B: With a 22. Janice, what does it look like as you counterspell and unravel his ninth level fireball? He was aiming at the fungus. I've had 14 D6 stacked up next to me for a second here. [00:58:50] Speaker E: I want you to do that. [00:58:52] Speaker C: He's not even a warlock. [00:58:55] Speaker E: I want you to do it because you're better at that. [00:58:58] Speaker B: Okay, thank you fire, like, builds around his fingers, and the glyph series don't appear around him. They burn onto his skin, just up his arm. As he winces and points it, the ball of fire fires toward the home. And Janice, your, like, eyes flare, the hair lifts up off of you, and all the snow near you launches backward. And as it is pushed away, it's not bare ground revealed behind you. You. Just as all the snow is pushed away, this conical shape behind you is left in ice on the ground. That is the, like, tessellated glyphic circle of, like, a magical series just flash freezing onto the ground behind you. And you no, look, reach out your arm, and you just grab the ball of fire out of the air and you, like, pull it towards you. And as you pull it, it just unravels into your hand until you bring it into your hand and then lift your hand upward into the sky. And like Zuko redirecting lightning, just launch the fire upward and then lower your palm. [01:00:08] Speaker E: That was really good. He like, I'm glad you did that. [01:00:11] Speaker B: He just looks up at you, not happy, not concerned, just kind of impressed. Like, that was exciting. All right, we're just gonna keep moving through initiative in this bizarre order, so we're not gonna worry about any of these details all the way back to Boz. He doing anything? [01:00:31] Speaker A: Oh, boss. Well, Ro didn't do anything. [01:00:37] Speaker B: Can I. Oh, do you want to do something? [01:00:39] Speaker A: Can Ro do something? [01:00:42] Speaker B: Impossible. [01:00:44] Speaker C: No. Prohita is locked out of initiative. [01:00:47] Speaker B: I'm locked out. [01:00:49] Speaker F: You didn't Ready in action. [01:00:50] Speaker B: If we get ready. If we get back to an attack. On your turn, Daniel, I want to introduce a little mechanic to. To try and kill without feeling hate, especially given what you've been through recently. And, yeah, I want to introduce that because that's a really cool concept you're introducing. I think that's a fascinating thing. You've proctored inspiration. That's a really creative little dynamic you're creating in the combat. That's really cool. What are you saying, Jekyll? [01:01:20] Speaker A: Yeah. Ro doesn't know what she can do to help, except she's gonna cast bardic insecurity on him. [01:01:26] Speaker B: Oh, phenomenal. [01:01:28] Speaker A: She's like, I don't think I can do damage damage, but maybe I can help some stuff. So he's gotta make a charisma saving throw, though, unfortunately. [01:01:38] Speaker B: Well, it's okay. I haven't rolled the die above 8 so far, so. [01:01:41] Speaker A: Don't say that. Knock on what? [01:01:44] Speaker B: I rolled below eight again. That's a total of 17. [01:01:48] Speaker A: Yeah, you you fail. [01:01:52] Speaker B: Talk to me about bardic insecurity. [01:01:55] Speaker A: So he suffers the following condition when the targeted creature attempts to make its next check or attack within the duration of the spell, which is 10 minutes. It's going to have to roll my level appropriate bardic inspiration die which is a D12 and subtract that number from that check or attack. [01:02:14] Speaker B: That's. I forgot how good that is. And I forgot it's a spell that gets better as you get more powerful. [01:02:19] Speaker A: Yeah, I think this is the first time I've actually music since I forgot [01:02:23] Speaker F: what makes him insecure? [01:02:25] Speaker B: Ooh, [01:02:27] Speaker A: I don't know. I don't. [01:02:30] Speaker F: That's our next liter question. [01:02:32] Speaker A: What song makes you insecure? [01:02:34] Speaker B: For whatever it's worth. Just cuz it's fun to talk about Andrea while you guys are having like really interesting talk on the chat. You know he can't be a veil blade. There aren't anymore. Fail's gone. [01:02:42] Speaker C: I know, but it's still. But it's always a trap to kill him. Yeah, maybe because he's psycho. [01:02:52] Speaker B: Okay, that's awesome. Okay, we're gonna move back to the. So boss, you got anything? [01:02:55] Speaker A: Oh yeah, Minecraft. [01:03:00] Speaker B: That's why you know that you just suck. [01:03:06] Speaker E: You're insecure. [01:03:07] Speaker A: Can he. Can he try to. Can he. Oh, let's see. Wait. [01:03:13] Speaker B: Try to do it again? [01:03:15] Speaker A: Yeah, he's gonna try to do it again. [01:03:17] Speaker B: Boss closes the gap, lays his hands on him again. Roll the hit. I said he fell over when wrong Grim stabbed him. So that technically means he's prone. Which means boss has advantage to hit him. [01:03:29] Speaker A: Yeah. What? Same number. Number, number. Okay, moving the sheet. [01:03:45] Speaker B: Thank you, Abby. [01:03:54] Speaker D: You better pray he fails. [01:03:55] Speaker A: A22. [01:03:57] Speaker B: A22. [01:04:00] Speaker A: Okay, to hit. He still has to do the charisma thing. [01:04:05] Speaker B: Charisma save. [01:04:07] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:04:07] Speaker B: Oh, this die can roll above 10. [01:04:09] Speaker A: Oh, of course I can. [01:04:13] Speaker B: Give me one second and you respond to Micah. Okay. [01:04:18] Speaker D: Doesn't he have to do a negative something to it? [01:04:21] Speaker E: Yes. [01:04:22] Speaker D: Wait, right. [01:04:23] Speaker B: No. Or is it a roll he's trying to do? [01:04:25] Speaker D: Oh, that could be true. I don't know what insecurity do talking [01:04:30] Speaker B: to a Bartican security again? [01:04:31] Speaker A: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm so sorry. I forgot that there's two characters that I'm playing back to back. [01:04:40] Speaker E: Girl, we've been there. [01:04:41] Speaker A: Next check or attack. So would it be a. But it's not a saving throw. It doesn't say anything about saving throw. [01:04:50] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. [01:04:52] Speaker D: Sorry. That's not a mission. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Check or attack. [01:04:57] Speaker B: Excellent. So his role is a 24. The spell fails again as the fire rebuffs back at Boz and he's knocked backwards. Guys, these two groups together in a chat is a dangerous, dangerous combo. That's, that's phenomenal. Okay, I think next it was Javion. You're doing something. I'm getting real lost here. [01:05:29] Speaker C: David is, I mean, yeah, he's, he's been through it and he's like, oh, I totally want to be the one, but I will instead cast with my sword. Sword. [01:05:47] Speaker A: I, [01:05:49] Speaker C: I, I cast with the sword. And so like I'm holding it in my hand to it and then I do a and I cast aura of life and an aura light, golden pure light for 30ft out from me. You got. [01:06:11] Speaker D: Got it. [01:06:12] Speaker B: J. Keep going, keep going. [01:06:13] Speaker C: Give everyone resistance to necrotic damage. And if you fall, you get back up with one hit point on your next turn. Within my 30 foot Aura. Aura of life. [01:06:26] Speaker B: Why listener, what you don't know is that unhinged madness is going in the chat right now. Mike is muted. Abby's muted. Jackie Mutter muted herself. We're all crying, laughing. At one point, Jackie said, and then Micah messaged how to make it brown. This is just, it's just, it's just insanity in the chat right now. [01:06:51] Speaker C: And that's why I clarified it. [01:06:54] Speaker F: Just like spit all over my unfathomable laptop. [01:06:57] Speaker B: Cuz like Andrea, Andrea it really good. [01:07:09] Speaker F: And then Andrea was like a beam of golden light comes out from me. [01:07:17] Speaker C: That a beam is an aura. If everyone who was with in the aura cannot piss themselves for the next minute. [01:07:34] Speaker B: Got him. You're like, you're like, what's happening and why? We just really love each other and we've been looking forward to this moment for a long time. If that helps you make sense of all this. It was awesome. No idea what you said. Next up is Craig. Were you doing something? Do you cast command or anything? I don't know. Craig, what's. [01:08:12] Speaker E: Is it my turn? [01:08:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Do you do anything? I cast confusion. That's a great one. [01:08:24] Speaker E: I'm so sorry because all I've been [01:08:26] Speaker B: thinking about is PE for the last five minutes. I don't know where we left. Also, at some point you guys made me laugh so hard I pardoned and I've been inhalating that as I'm laughing in my brain. Micah, do you spell or something? [01:08:45] Speaker C: No. Did it Rose? [01:08:52] Speaker B: Did it, the spell not work? [01:08:55] Speaker E: No, it did. [01:08:56] Speaker A: Okay, I'm with you guys now. [01:08:58] Speaker D: I'm with you guys now. [01:09:00] Speaker C: Okay. [01:09:03] Speaker E: No, I can't because we don't want him to die. [01:09:05] Speaker A: Right. [01:09:09] Speaker B: Micah, do you cast something? [01:09:11] Speaker F: Just cast command again. [01:09:15] Speaker E: Literally, do what you can tell. [01:09:19] Speaker C: Like, there's things like, other than run, like. Like, halt, Draw. [01:09:25] Speaker D: He's already on the ground. [01:09:26] Speaker B: Grovel. Okay. Phenomenal. Charisma saving. [01:09:30] Speaker D: Throw Wisdom saver. [01:09:32] Speaker E: Oh, wisdom. [01:09:35] Speaker B: I got a. I got a 10. With his face down in the snow and just begins, like. Like, weeping and apologizing, but instead of being, like, cute and funny, it's actually kind of awful because he, like, runs over. He, like. He, like, rolls over and puts his head down, and he begins just genuinely, like, suddenly sobbing about all the people he's killed. Oh, what weird time. Okay, bro. [01:10:14] Speaker D: Well, I think. I think magic is processing the feelings. [01:10:17] Speaker A: We're already back to me. [01:10:20] Speaker B: You're right. [01:10:22] Speaker A: Okay. [01:10:22] Speaker D: I was like, what mechanic I'm doing about not hating him. [01:10:25] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes. Give me Durangle. Do you feel like it's more like a wisdom save or charisma save to try and resist? [01:10:33] Speaker D: I. I would say wisdom. Right. It seems more wise than charisma. [01:10:41] Speaker C: What. [01:10:42] Speaker A: What about. [01:10:43] Speaker C: No, Boss was the second turn. [01:10:45] Speaker B: Yeah, Boss was first. [01:10:46] Speaker D: Yeah. Boss tried again. [01:10:48] Speaker B: Yeah. So wrong game. Give me that whiz. Save ye whizz. [01:10:56] Speaker D: I'm gonna use my D4. Okay. I got a 16. [01:11:09] Speaker B: You're killing me. You're killing me. It was really good, Andrea. You feel the anger and the hate Wellington in you, but you. In what way do you resist the hate? What comes to you in this moment that helps you combat that? How do you clear your mind and make this about what has to be done instead of everything you feel? [01:11:35] Speaker D: I feel like there's a portion of it where it is thinking of everything I feel and then thinking about everything Xavian's feeling and saying I. It's like an older brother taking on the burden of a younger brother's whatever, like, his job. Like, he sees his younger brother fail, and he has to take it on and be like, I'll do it for him, and I'll carry it. And so I think to that and [01:11:57] Speaker B: how, like, I don't know, you can [01:11:59] Speaker D: do it in a multitude of ways of military or from family or for my friends. And just thinking about, no, I have to be the one who stops this, because if Xavian does it, it's gonna be from hatred. So I focus all of my thinking and thoughts on that, and I say, no, Cold, concise, another word that's cool in the third moment. Yeah. [01:12:24] Speaker B: My lowest was a clinical. [01:12:26] Speaker D: There you go. Clinical. [01:12:28] Speaker B: That's sick. [01:12:31] Speaker D: My lowest is a 25 or 28. I'm so sorry. [01:12:35] Speaker B: That'll do it, buddy. [01:12:37] Speaker D: Sick. I got 118 points of damage this time. [01:12:41] Speaker B: Right. As you ready the trident, this blue ethereal hand appears on your shoulder. And the spirit of the comrade just. [01:12:51] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:12:51] Speaker B: Affirms you in your decision. And how do you want to do it? How do you want to do this? I'm so sorry. [01:12:59] Speaker D: I didn't think he died that at first. [01:13:01] Speaker B: I think it's really fast. [01:13:04] Speaker D: I think when you die, I just [01:13:06] Speaker B: want to point out that you've dealt 200 damage in two attacks. [01:13:10] Speaker D: Well, that is also true. [01:13:11] Speaker B: But real quick heads up that you might be playing the strongest barbarian I've ever seen. Just real quick heads up. It's great. [01:13:19] Speaker D: I grab my trident, and my first time, I freeze his legs to the ground. The second time, I freeze his chest and arms to the ground, but not his head. And with my third attack, I flipped my blade and not, not. I don't flip my blade. I put my blade up to his head with his whole body frozen. And I lean down really quietly and I say, I told you, kill you. [01:13:44] Speaker B: Hey. [01:13:46] Speaker D: And then I just chop his head off. With all of his body still frozen, the sharpness of my blade, the head, I would hope, lulls about and falls away from his body. [01:14:00] Speaker B: That's sick. Someone recently said that Daniel is the king of one liners. And I feel it. And as the blade swings by, yeah, his head just. And absolutely no blood spills out as ice is just. And the field falls silent. You all see Chipagooper some distance back in the doorway with his hands on the house, just on the verge of tears, really worn thin by all of this. And you guys hadn't noticed till you looked up, but BELLA Andra is 30ft away, and it looks like Janus. You can tell with your expertise. It looks like she had counterspell readied. [01:14:59] Speaker C: I know the head's off, but I'm still like, cautiously approaching. [01:15:03] Speaker B: Well, Greta, A stone rises in the distance and an island is born further and further upward. It's far still in your vision, but gorgeous. The most verdant green isle you've ever seen at such a distance. And for a moment, the topography rises upward and you feel like maybe it's going to become some sort of mountain or hill. But it looks like there's some sort of a caldera like shape that folds inward this deep ingress somewhere in its center. But the vision shimmers. It's like you can't see near inside, though. It feels like it's producing its own light. And the voice comes over your ear again and simply says, Find the lost aisle. All has been kept for you there. As you near closer, the light brightens until the vision begins to sort of shimmer into a confusing overlay of colors. Before lastly, you just feel a very familiar warmth. And then you blink yourself awake. And you blink yourself awake in the grand chamber of. You blink yourself awake in the grand chamber of the funky's fantastical fortress. And everyone's gone. You're just sitting there like look around. Everybody's gone. Which is weird. And the door's wide open. [01:17:13] Speaker F: Yeah. I am not so worried about. I. I sketched. I'm gonna sketch the island really quick. As much as I can remember it. Dm. Did I get the impression that I should go alone or the unclear. Right. Okay. Yeah, I sketched the island really quickly and I. I like write out a quick summary of the dream or. Yeah, just anything that I might need to remember. And I like add finishing touches to my sketch of the vision of where I saw Cargren is. And then I'm gonna look around and wonder where all of my friends are [01:18:16] Speaker B: outside shaving. You were saying [01:18:22] Speaker C: what [01:18:24] Speaker B: good [01:18:28] Speaker D: Shavian was going towards the head? [01:18:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, something like that. [01:18:36] Speaker E: You were gonna check out the guy? [01:18:39] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I was just going up to the body. Okay. If he's really dead, I'm gonna kick him. [01:18:45] Speaker B: Okay. It you kick something hard, like ice. Ow. Froze that body pretty hard, but you kick it and there's like a slight fracture in the ice. You've got that dragon hide boot. [01:18:59] Speaker D: And I just. [01:19:00] Speaker C: I give it one. I turn to wrong room, I'm like, thanks. [01:19:05] Speaker D: I like. I put all my weapons up and I look to Javen who just thanked me and I say anytime. And then I like start heading towards the inside. After I check one more time that no one else is here, you all [01:19:27] Speaker B: look around and you see no one. Nothing else. There are tracks leading through the snow where it looks like he walked from some distance to your home. But that's it. He just. No grand plan, no voyage, no message. Just a madman. Who wanted this. [01:19:49] Speaker A: Should we burn the or something instead of leaving it just, you know, outside of town. I don't want any, well, children coming upon it. [01:20:04] Speaker C: But he specifically wants to die in fire. [01:20:09] Speaker A: Okay. [01:20:14] Speaker C: It's not the same as secret fire. [01:20:16] Speaker E: Maybe I could disintegrate him. [01:20:19] Speaker A: Oh yeah, that'd be that. You could do that. [01:20:22] Speaker D: I turned. I was about to turn back around and then all the magical casters said I Can do something better. And I was like, that makes sense [01:20:29] Speaker C: where you like, grab a shovel. [01:20:32] Speaker A: We can just bury him. Yeah. [01:20:34] Speaker E: I'm going to cast if you don't want. Great. [01:20:36] Speaker A: You know, use. [01:20:37] Speaker B: Okay. [01:20:39] Speaker E: But away. When everybody's gone. Away from him. Of course. [01:20:42] Speaker D: I put the head back close to the ice body. I'm guessing it needs to be close. [01:20:47] Speaker B: Sure. [01:20:48] Speaker D: Rung. [01:20:49] Speaker B: You just set it on top? [01:20:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:20:52] Speaker B: Janice, you charge magic. That's so stupid. All right, how much damage? [01:21:02] Speaker C: What'd you say? [01:21:02] Speaker B: This dead body. [01:21:06] Speaker C: Oh, also, Janice, I don't think you can cast disintegrate without twin spell again. I don't know if the next second was going to always just one beam [01:21:15] Speaker B: at him and one at the sky. [01:21:17] Speaker E: I could. [01:21:18] Speaker B: I could. [01:21:18] Speaker F: I could do that one for the head. [01:21:20] Speaker A: Did we need to. [01:21:21] Speaker E: To. [01:21:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:21:22] Speaker A: Check his body for something or. [01:21:25] Speaker B: Well, we've already cast. [01:21:26] Speaker A: Okay. [01:21:27] Speaker B: Okay, so we're good. So Janice is firing a beam of perfect golden light annihilating the body. As Rose says out loud. Did we need to check his body. His body for anything? Right as the beam is instantly flying at him. [01:21:44] Speaker E: We don't. We don't need anything he has to offer. [01:21:46] Speaker A: Ro turns back to the house. She's triggered by disintegrate. [01:21:57] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. I'm gonna forever remember that fight for the fugue state in the middle. That was crazy. Multi class into a wizard. A piss. A. Sorry, creeps. We were raptured. Good luck. Tasha's hideous piss is awful. [01:22:23] Speaker C: Yeah, it's hideous. [01:22:25] Speaker B: I love the gift of this guy so much. [01:22:29] Speaker E: Do I double the whole title or the whole total or do it okay. [01:22:35] Speaker B: Everything [01:22:37] Speaker E: okay? [01:22:40] Speaker C: I just realized there's a dude in that gift. [01:22:42] Speaker E: 216. [01:22:45] Speaker B: Oh, hell yeah. [01:22:48] Speaker E: Is that possible? [01:22:49] Speaker A: 216. [01:22:51] Speaker F: You killed again. [01:22:52] Speaker B: Cast it at. [01:22:53] Speaker A: Double killed. [01:22:55] Speaker C: Double kill. [01:22:55] Speaker B: Did you cast it at. Was that. Was that just six level? [01:22:58] Speaker E: Yes, but I think I did something wrong because that doesn't. [01:23:01] Speaker B: I don't know how you got to 260. [01:23:03] Speaker E: No, I don't know. We're just gonna call it 180. [01:23:07] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:23:09] Speaker E: I don't care. [01:23:15] Speaker B: This beam of light that sears from Janice's body into the ground is so violent that all of the snow around her is scattered away and the ash literally begins falling other places as she just. And when she lifts her hands, all of you guys like shielded your eyes from the bright light. And when you all look back, he's not there. And there's. There is actually like an imprint in the ground of the shape of his body expanded outward 6 inches in each direction. About a foot down of just ground that was annihilated not from the spell but just from the heat and energy given off as it annihilated the body. And there is nothing. [01:24:05] Speaker E: I'm just gonna. And turn back into the house. [01:24:09] Speaker B: That's really good. All right. Hell yeah. And you guys just tread back to the home. There you find like shocked but impressed looking. Spagoober Similar. Bella Andra. It's about this time that Thespis and Ehmunkai are finally getting their armor on and are just like. And Thespis is. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. Okay. I'm just going to start wearing this all the time. [01:24:32] Speaker C: You really have to. [01:24:34] Speaker B: Yeah. This sucks. E Moon goes. Wow. And he just goes back with like, food or something. [01:24:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:24:48] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:24:48] Speaker A: We made. [01:24:49] Speaker E: We made a snowman. So [01:24:52] Speaker A: Ro make sure. [01:24:56] Speaker B: Okay. Spooky just kind of puts his hands on his knees and takes a deep breath and goes. I really want. I really want people to stop throwing our home. [01:25:09] Speaker A: Yeah. We'll work on something to shield this place better. [01:25:14] Speaker B: I'm just gonna go back to my potions. [01:25:19] Speaker D: I'd like to also go to Split Goober because I think this is the second time that I've scared him with JVM specifically. And I come over and I just put one of my hands on his shoulder. [01:25:30] Speaker B: He jumps a little. [01:25:31] Speaker D: Yeah. And I say, you need not fear. [01:25:40] Speaker B: I appreciate that. Brown screens. I do feel better with you being around. It's like having a lion as a guard dog. But I'm sorry. It's been a rough year. Earlier this year, I lost my. Almost my whole crew at once in something really violent. And then I almost died day before yesterday. And I'm just on edge. But I really appreciate it. I just. I really need all this to be over. [01:26:14] Speaker D: It'll be over one way or another in a few days. [01:26:21] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:26:22] Speaker D: You make healing potions as you say? [01:26:26] Speaker B: No. I'm learning. [01:26:28] Speaker D: Oh. [01:26:30] Speaker B: And he just walks back to the counter and picks up some of the vials and looks worse than when you started talking to him. But he just keeps going. Fluid from vial to vial. Rodrigo. [01:26:39] Speaker D: Just like I did. [01:26:40] Speaker B: Good. You eggs like 15ft away. And he looks at you and he goes. He like. He mouths like, we should work all day. [01:26:53] Speaker E: Can Craig go? [01:26:54] Speaker B: Anybody having any sort of vital lore? Conversations about visions or anything or. [01:26:59] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:27:01] Speaker A: I go find her. [01:27:02] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:27:04] Speaker B: Did I interrupt the thing you were saying? Okay. Go ahead. [01:27:10] Speaker E: Craig's just gonna. The Goober as they'll try to be A positive emotional support. That's it. [01:27:17] Speaker B: Craig, you don't have to do much. You just start handling. Handing him things and standing nearby. And it like. I mean, he doesn't like, ah, I feel better. But it like helps a little. Just because he feels very safe with you and it helps. It helps a little. He just puts a hand on your shoulder and pats it. It's also really cold. You guys are having to wear like jackets inside. And like it's frigid in the house even after the doors closed. Sucked a lot of heat out of the home. Javian, you said you went and found Rung him. [01:27:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:27:49] Speaker D: Oh yeah. [01:27:50] Speaker B: Go get him, dude. [01:27:51] Speaker C: No, I just want to be like, [01:27:55] Speaker A: there's. [01:28:00] Speaker C: Mel Theon. She was one of Sabina's maidservant. When they came for our family, the empire, everyone who was in the room, even the commoners, the servants were taken out. And apparently Zoram also got one of them. [01:28:26] Speaker D: His corrupting touch knows no bounds, it seems. [01:28:31] Speaker C: No, but that kind of debunks one of my hypotheses. [01:28:35] Speaker D: But what was your hypothesis? [01:28:39] Speaker C: That he chose me and Savina because. Part largely because we were royalty. Because he needed someone who could be attacked. Not that only royalty can get the power to be. To do that. [01:28:57] Speaker D: Right? [01:28:57] Speaker C: But cult leaders, the emperor. Anyway, initially I. When I The first like the first few months or like early on when I with him, I'd go like, okay, why me? And he never had an. [01:29:17] Speaker A: That [01:29:21] Speaker C: poor girl. [01:29:25] Speaker D: It does seem poor. It seems like he chose people with great capacities for hatred. Great capacities. Knowing that he could cause strife in this world. [01:29:46] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm. I'm really glad I found Janice, [01:29:53] Speaker F: I think. [01:29:55] Speaker B: Dude. [01:29:57] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm sure glad to be gone from him. Even if that guy called me a pompous little murder hypocrite. [01:30:09] Speaker D: He did have a lot of words. I was really waiting for everyone to stop talking to him. But I'm glad he's gone. I'm not glad that he is gone. As if his existence. I mean he did side with an evil God who's trying to kill everybody. But I'm glad you didn't have to take him out. And I can take that from you. [01:30:39] Speaker C: Yeah, we. We tried to not. [01:30:46] Speaker D: You did. I think the maker would be proud. [01:30:54] Speaker C: But what that's worth. [01:30:58] Speaker E: And then I'll like, [01:31:02] Speaker C: you're right. You're right. That's your job. And then just do like a. I don't know, like an arm wraps bro thingy. [01:31:13] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Heck yeah. [01:31:16] Speaker C: Top romance. [01:31:19] Speaker B: Nice. [01:31:19] Speaker D: You did you Thought you were gonna go with Ginny, but it's actually Ron Grip. [01:31:27] Speaker C: Well, be with romance. [01:31:29] Speaker B: Meeting up with Greta also. Night. Night, Micah. Oh, sickle. That word bothers me. Okay, she. Was I crazy, or did she turn her mic back on just to quietly rub her throat and mouth a couple. She didn't say any words. Right? Was that just me? She just turned her mic on and went. [01:31:54] Speaker A: It's okay. She's sleepy. [01:31:55] Speaker D: Okay, before we do this, can I see? Is. Is it just gonna be meeting with Greta and then going, or do y' all have more stuff? [01:32:07] Speaker B: You all do notice as you all gather and start talking that Uegg walks outside. He bundles himself in a cloak and walks outside. If anyone wants to look into what he's doing, they can, but they also don't have to. [01:32:23] Speaker E: Well, I'll be in a conversation with Greta, but, yeah, same. I don't want him to be alone. [01:32:30] Speaker B: All right, Janice, you just check before you go talk. As you watch him for about 30 or 40 seconds, he walks out to where the body was. He leans down in the snow, and he begins working through the funeral rites for all the dead that you've seen, and he performs them over where this body was as well. [01:32:55] Speaker E: All right, I'll keep having a conversation with Greta. [01:33:00] Speaker B: Go get him. Greaves. [01:33:03] Speaker E: So what did you see? [01:33:07] Speaker F: I relay everything that I saw, and I. I show the sketches and I say, so he is going after Carcon. And I thought maybe I knew where Carcone was, but I don't. And then she shows the sketch, and she says, well, I saw this. This is apparently where he is. It looks. It was Arctic. She was very angry. I could describe there to maybe find out more or maybe we could. Since I have a drawing, we could teleport there. I can describe it more to someone. And then I saw. I was. I was shown. I was told by IUN that I need to go to a forgotten file. [01:34:10] Speaker B: Janice, that perks your attention. [01:34:17] Speaker E: I'm gonna keep letting her. Letting her expl. [01:34:25] Speaker F: Oh, he's gone. [01:34:26] Speaker B: Oh, sorry. [01:34:30] Speaker F: I see. I don't. I don't know if I'm supposed to go there alone. I don't really feel like I am, but I. I couldn't really tell either way. [01:34:39] Speaker A: But [01:34:42] Speaker F: I also. I also describe that to people and show my sketch and say, I. I think it's in it, us being the sapphire desert somewhere. And she said it was like it was sealed away. Not just forgotten, but, like, removed on purpose. [01:35:05] Speaker A: I. [01:35:07] Speaker E: I take out a notebook that. I've been doing this. I mean religiously, since the very beginning of the. The campaign. And I've been trying to record every location that this star has been in the sky. Greta, I think you're definitely onto something. This has been something that I. That I was told about, and I honestly can't even remember where at this point. But, But. And then I'll. I'll show the map and I've mapped out the locations on the map, and I feel like I probably would have figured out area, like, if it had been in a couple regions at the same time. Like, statistics wise, [01:36:03] Speaker B: you are struck by how little pattern there is to discern. It seems. Seems often to be in the sapphire desert, but that's about the only. It's about the only similarity you can find. I mean, it moves all over constantly and randomly. [01:36:20] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. And I'll just show it. I literally have a whole paper of all the locations that I do. [01:36:27] Speaker F: Oh, cool. [01:36:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:36:29] Speaker C: As the person who saw it in your vision, do you have the ability to teleport there? [01:36:39] Speaker F: In the past we have. I've described things to Ro. I think she's. [01:36:49] Speaker A: Or [01:36:52] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:36:53] Speaker C: Okay. Like, I describe things to Janice. Yes. [01:36:58] Speaker F: Is it. [01:37:00] Speaker A: I'm gonna just look at. [01:37:01] Speaker F: But I. I don't have the ability to teleport [01:37:05] Speaker E: well, honestly, we never tried teleporting there to the spot that I saw since I was able to teleport. [01:37:11] Speaker F: I have a. I have. I can describe it very well and I can. My sketches are very accurate. And maybe I. I know in the past we've talked about. Or I think maybe Ro has showed me, or we've talked about Ro showing me something, and then I can SCRY on it via dreams. I don't know if I can show Ro something in a dream. [01:37:35] Speaker A: That's what I was. [01:37:36] Speaker F: She can teleport there. [01:37:38] Speaker A: That's what I was trying to figure out, because I know that. I don't think I was trying to figure out if. With dream, if. If I go into your dream, if I can let you show me something. But I don't think that's the case. Wait, no. Me or a willing creature that I touch can enter a trance state and act as a messenger. So I could. Ro is like, working this out as she's telling you. She's like, I could. I could cast. Dream on you, and you could go into my dream and show me exactly. Exactly what you saw, or Janice or whoever. And we could teleport there. So we could do that. You could show us anything you wanted to. [01:38:36] Speaker F: Okay. And then Also, if. If we. Even if we teleport near it, you know, it's. We don't have to get exactly there. We can, as long as we're clear close enough to see it, I think. [01:38:52] Speaker C: Is it an island? [01:38:53] Speaker E: What's an island? [01:38:54] Speaker B: It does occur to you that's the ocean, Right? [01:38:57] Speaker F: But it's. If we land in the ocean near it. [01:39:02] Speaker B: Sure. [01:39:02] Speaker F: Then we can see it. [01:39:04] Speaker A: Is that sure? [01:39:07] Speaker B: Fair enough. [01:39:08] Speaker F: Yeah, like. Like it's. It's. You know, the circles. [01:39:13] Speaker C: I mean, we land pretty far away. Distance. [01:39:16] Speaker F: We can swim. Or we could turn into birds and fly up and see it. It's closer than nothing. [01:39:21] Speaker A: I mean, Greta has a broom. We can turn into things. [01:39:28] Speaker D: All right. [01:39:29] Speaker A: I guess we could figure it out. [01:39:36] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:39:38] Speaker E: Well, we could just try it. Did it seem like a positive thing? I mean, obviously, I think that. I know that it's positive. Positive, but, like, did it seem like positive in your. [01:39:49] Speaker F: Yes, overwhelmingly so. The only thing I'm not sure on is. Is I. I didn't get explicit communication on. On whether or not I should go alone, but my instinct tells me it's all right to take a group. [01:40:06] Speaker B: Tello just kind of chimes in and goes, if I'm not violating the honor of your God or something, I go where you go, so. Fair enough. [01:40:15] Speaker F: Fair enough. [01:40:17] Speaker E: Yeah. I don't know. I feel like they wouldn't have showed, like, me, it too, if it was just supposed to be you, you know? [01:40:23] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Greta's gonna try and use a divine intervention to get them there, just to see if she can. Zackle. [01:40:37] Speaker A: Nance, Are we doing this now? [01:40:41] Speaker F: Oh, sorry. [01:40:43] Speaker A: No. I mean, I. I don't know. [01:40:44] Speaker C: We're just in all the room. [01:40:46] Speaker E: We can always. [01:40:48] Speaker F: We. Should we wait? [01:40:51] Speaker A: I. I don't know. [01:40:52] Speaker C: We're literally not all in the room. [01:40:55] Speaker F: Fair enough. [01:40:56] Speaker B: I mean, people have arrived. It's okay. They can all be there. We don't have to get stuck on the arbitration event. And I didn't mean that as a rebuke. Just, you know, [01:41:07] Speaker A: who would all be [01:41:08] Speaker C: going, how many people can teleport within one spell? It's a limit. [01:41:13] Speaker A: Isn't there like, eight? Eight plus. Plus the person teleporting? Yeah. So nine. [01:41:19] Speaker B: UEG starts sitting there and, like, counting everybody who's there. [01:41:24] Speaker A: Do it. Two of us have to teleport to [01:41:28] Speaker E: get us all there. I think. I think we should only do one, because then we could get split up. [01:41:34] Speaker A: No, but I mean, like, how many people there are. [01:41:37] Speaker E: We don't have to bring Everybody. [01:41:39] Speaker F: That's true. [01:41:41] Speaker E: Like, Wee Woo doesn't have to come. Boss doesn't have to come. I. E. The playable characters. [01:41:52] Speaker B: Oh. Oh, you said I. You said I eat the playable characters. [01:42:00] Speaker E: No, no, no, no. [01:42:02] Speaker B: That makes. [01:42:03] Speaker E: No, no, no. Sorry. [01:42:05] Speaker C: Janice and Greta are the most important to go. [01:42:09] Speaker E: Janis has turned into the bad one. [01:42:14] Speaker B: She turned back in her cannibalistic ways all the way back from the chicken pirate sessions. [01:42:18] Speaker E: Shut up. Oh, no. I didn't understand what DND was back then. [01:42:27] Speaker F: Did you eat it? [01:42:29] Speaker A: No. [01:42:29] Speaker E: There was chicken pirates, and I was like, oh, yeah, because they're chickens. No, they're playing with their people. [01:42:38] Speaker B: And then everybody was like. They were just talking. [01:42:42] Speaker E: I just. Chicken people were crazy to me at the time. Now I get it hard DND [01:42:52] Speaker A: so [01:42:52] Speaker F: just rose in a friend. I'm. I'm. I mean, I. I feel like time is of the essence. I'm. If you guys want to. I could try also. There's no guarantee. We could just. I could try it, and then we could just go back to figuring out teleport. [01:43:11] Speaker A: Oh, that's true. Because if you Divine intervention, if you wanted to try and get us there, by that means. Yeah, it's. [01:43:16] Speaker F: But it's a super. I mean, that would get us right there, there and it. But it's a super, super low chance. [01:43:21] Speaker A: But, I mean, you could do. [01:43:22] Speaker E: Listen, there's a lot of people who could divine intervention here. [01:43:27] Speaker A: That's true. [01:43:27] Speaker F: That's true. [01:43:28] Speaker C: If we know there's, like, so many. There's really good uses for divine intervention. I'm gonna say you do. I'm not saying you don't do it. One who can do it. [01:43:39] Speaker B: UEG shrugs and goes, I mean, the day's almost over, and, yeah, we should supplicate our deities each day. That's true. [01:43:48] Speaker C: Oh, it's only if it works that you have to wait a week. Right? [01:43:51] Speaker F: Yeah. [01:43:52] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:43:53] Speaker B: That's kind of how it feels, but more in mumbo jumbo magic terms. Yeah, [01:44:00] Speaker F: Yeah. I should use it for the. Because if it works, then I can't use it for the boss. [01:44:06] Speaker A: Well, we don't know when we're gonna fight. I mean, it could be weak. It could be two. We could make it tomorrow. [01:44:12] Speaker C: It could be five years. [01:44:14] Speaker B: Sits down and grips his symbol and starts praying. [01:44:20] Speaker E: Is he casting divine intervention? [01:44:22] Speaker F: Divine intervention. [01:44:24] Speaker B: He supplicates ELD and he just. He sits there quietly for a while and then looks up and goes, oh, no dice. I get it. Yeah. But I knew you were gonna do it. Oh, are you trying to argue that you should be the one to roll because it's not his die. [01:44:46] Speaker E: Yes. [01:44:47] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Kara, that's fine. You have control of his character. You should be the. I am breaking my own rules. I said that they belong to you. [01:44:56] Speaker F: Nope. [01:44:57] Speaker B: But we can't. [01:44:58] Speaker C: Okay, I'm so. I'm like, she's gonna get it. [01:45:03] Speaker B: I'd be BS if it worked. [01:45:07] Speaker A: Are we in the. Are we in the fortress or are we just in the house? [01:45:12] Speaker E: Oh, just kidding. [01:45:16] Speaker B: The fortress. If you wanted. Sorry. You could be in the fortress. Yeah, it makes more sense that everybody walks back into the fortress. [01:45:21] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:45:22] Speaker C: You teleport to the fortress because it's a pocket dimension. [01:45:25] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. I have a. And there's a teleportation circle inside the tree for anyone that needs it. I'm just gonna say Greta while you do that. Hold the. [01:45:39] Speaker E: Halt. [01:45:40] Speaker A: Don't teleport without me. [01:45:42] Speaker F: Wait. Okay. [01:45:44] Speaker A: And she's gonna go. She's gonna go find. Because I want to do this real quick. She's gonna. Because. Get up her nerve. She's not gonna do nice. She's gonna go find Thespis, and she's gonna say, life is too short. [01:45:58] Speaker F: There's. [01:45:59] Speaker A: I love Abby's background music. She's gonna say, life is too short. There was a weird guy outside. He almost burned the house down. And I may be zapping out of here in a second. So she jumps up and she kisses him in real life this time. Nice. But she has to. [01:46:17] Speaker B: I shouldn't do what I'm about to do to you. [01:46:21] Speaker E: No, you're gonna make me. [01:46:22] Speaker B: But I am the king of all chaos. So I need you to make an athletics check. [01:46:26] Speaker A: Are you kidding? [01:46:27] Speaker B: Just to try and get up the height. [01:46:28] Speaker A: Can it be acrobatics? Please give me acrobatics. [01:46:32] Speaker B: So much funnier if it's athletics. [01:46:34] Speaker F: But acrobatics makes more sense. But acrobatics. Jumping. [01:46:39] Speaker A: Jumping into his arm. [01:46:40] Speaker F: She's jumping. [01:46:44] Speaker B: I wanted to see you athletics, though. [01:46:48] Speaker A: I'll do athletics, but, I mean, it'll still be good. But I'm gonna go with acrobatics. [01:46:52] Speaker B: Now know this is also Jackie's first roll of the session. [01:46:57] Speaker A: Yeah. And it's a 24. [01:47:00] Speaker B: Nice, [01:47:02] Speaker D: bro. [01:47:03] Speaker B: As you jump up, you kind of jump, like, into his arms, and he, like, kind of grabs you with him, and you kiss him with earnest, with. With a. With a desire you locked away a long time ago. And he's just kind of surprised for a second, and then he gets a big smile on his face and he goes, maybe the armor all the time isn't so bad. And he kind of picks you up a little higher. And then you guys just make out for a little bit. And then. [01:47:40] Speaker F: Cool. [01:47:41] Speaker B: He sets you down. [01:47:42] Speaker F: He wants to go to the island. [01:47:43] Speaker E: Row. [01:47:45] Speaker B: Wow. You guys disappear to the island more often. That was awesome. [01:47:50] Speaker A: Wait, what did he say? Wait, what did he say? [01:47:52] Speaker B: You guys should go to the island. That was awesome. [01:47:58] Speaker A: While I'm. By the way, while I'm gone. Yeah, yeah, you guys can go in the fortress. There's. You have a room in there? [01:48:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:48:07] Speaker F: Oh, really? Rob, give them the same room. [01:48:12] Speaker E: Sorry. [01:48:13] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's. [01:48:16] Speaker A: Or you can use my word. [01:48:17] Speaker B: Whatever. [01:48:17] Speaker A: Got it. [01:48:20] Speaker B: And then as. As Ro just kind of like, zips awkward out of the room. This was just kind of sat there left, going, whoa. As she runs out. Okay, [01:48:33] Speaker A: Greta. I mean, Ro walks back in and she's like. She like, prestidigitates her hair and everything as she walks in, and she's like, what was that? What are you rolling? I'm scared. [01:48:48] Speaker C: Charisma, say for Thespis. [01:48:50] Speaker B: Well, while you guys were talking, Ehmund overheard you all, and he's just been quietly praying nearby. And as people are gathering things and Ro runs back into the room, everyone just. No way disappears. [01:49:12] Speaker F: Wow. [01:49:14] Speaker B: I'm going to send you guys a picture of the die. [01:49:18] Speaker A: Ow. [01:49:21] Speaker B: I just pulled divine intervention with that Moon Kai. [01:49:24] Speaker F: That's crazy. [01:49:26] Speaker B: And from where you all are in the world, he didn't check with you guys because he's. He's a little too obtuse for that. It didn't occur to him. It was just like they said, they had a goal. And so he was just sitting there praying with Selune and reaching out, coming to aid you all. In this hour of uncertainty and indecision and complexity, Selune, the Pale Mistress reaches down to these individuals she's aided for so long. And for just one second, as you all are just coming back together and talking and making plans. Ro, you feel this. You see this light out of the corner of your eye, and you swear for one second outside of the window in that dark night, you see that face you saw in that dream a couple years ago. Go. As you stop for one moment in shock, all of a sudden, everyone's just gone. And all of you are plucked from one side of the world over to another. You all are moved across thousands of miles. You all are moved to an aisle that is warded against conjuration, where teleport would not have functioned. [01:50:57] Speaker A: Whoa. [01:50:58] Speaker B: You all are moved to an aisle which is constantly moving, whose exact position could not have been determined. You all are just moved. That's crazy. [01:51:12] Speaker C: Insane. Wait, I. I feel like seven years there's bad roles were divided, was literally the only way to get here. [01:51:21] Speaker B: No, no, not necessarily. I'm a crafty little minx and you never know my next move. But no, there were other options to get there. [01:51:29] Speaker E: I'm writing that down. [01:51:31] Speaker B: There were less. It was less clear than, oh, I'll just use this feature. But none of them were going to be easy to arrive at. But as Ethmund Kai, is he with us, who has been faithful for so long prayed, Selune mustered her power and reached across the now absent veil. So even though Zorgrim can be in this world so much more dangerously, the deities could be here more presently. And Janus. You blink hard. Everything's so bright, everything's so warm. Ocean is lapping up on a beach as your boots press into soft sand. You look up at an island you've been theorizing for years, Shavian. You blink and you feel warmth. Bright open sun is shining down on you. Wait, sun is shining down on you. Shaving. You look up at blue. Sky, Greta. You feel the sand beneath your fingers as you lift up, jolted in the movement to fall over. And as you push yourself to your knees and your hands, there's this rim, this bowl, like an eye of a storm, where that thick veil of cloud all around the world just can't quite cover this aisle. And blue sky is exposed above it where open sunlight is still falling down onto it, this beacon for it, though none should be able to find it. And Ro, as you stand there, you look at these beautiful verdant trees. A pale sand beach stretching far at each side, and a placid, idyllic landscape all around, bizarrely at peace in this time. Boz is there. Uegg, Wiwu, Rongrim, Craig, Tello, all of these core party members. Ehmund was not moved. With Yule, the spirit didn't come. Not Shpagoober, not Balandra, not Shistha. Just you all. As you all stand there on the forgotten isle, You look up at a strange tropical forest, barring something that's been hidden for three and a half thousand years, forgotten to everyone but the knowing mistress, shared now only with you. And on the edge of whatever revelation lies beyond, that's where we will end. Episode 7. 178. 250. Eek. [01:55:13] Speaker A: Holy crap. [01:55:17] Speaker E: I have a question. [01:55:19] Speaker B: What's up, dude? [01:55:21] Speaker E: The Maker shared that with me. Right? Or how do I know about it? [01:55:26] Speaker B: Sort of. [01:55:27] Speaker C: Yeah. It's been so long. [01:55:29] Speaker B: But so IUN was like, yo, this the place. You gotta go there like four years ago. Because we're shifting everything I think in canon. The timeline now is that the Fungi's have been together for not quite three years and the wars of the world have been together for five. That's the way we're so. You know, it's 3488 now, but we're treating it now in retrospect. Like the. Like the wars of all got started in 3483 and the. The fungi's got started in 3485. Um, and about like four years ago. [01:56:05] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:56:05] Speaker B: Janice, you were not given a directive. Hey, go to this place. But it's like if this was a well kept secret and it was first revealed to Greta. It's like four years ago. It was hinted and whispered to you. Yeah, but plenty of time to talk after. Yep, yep, yep. Okay, sorry. Plenty of time to chat after the [01:56:29] Speaker A: audio has cut xp. [01:56:31] Speaker B: I got you. [01:56:32] Speaker A: Do we want to do that? No, I mean do we want to do it on audio? [01:56:35] Speaker B: Talking about autistic pain. [01:56:37] Speaker F: Are we still. Oh, I heard. I heard. Who did? I. I heard Kenku leave and I thought you just ended it. And I. I was genuinely quite upset that you didn't say life is an incredible adventure. I was like about to complain about it and then I realized we're still recording. [01:56:52] Speaker E: Don't worry, I asked only because I thought we were already off, so. My bad. [01:56:57] Speaker F: Also, don't worry listeners. We would never leave you hanging. I notice every time. [01:57:06] Speaker A: Stop. Stop acting frozen. [01:57:09] Speaker B: So for killing Skunk, the fungi gained 0.053 levels. He was a really high level warlock. Wow. [01:57:19] Speaker A: 0.0533. [01:57:22] Speaker B: And the wars of the well. 0.036 for receiving. For. For supplicating IUN and receiving the vision that revealed the forgotten aisle. That's a huge plot point. That's 0.1 levels. There was a ton of meaningful role play this session, So I gave 0.02 for just the party's meeting. I gave 0.01 because that's massive. How are we not going to give. That's a huge plot point. Also, I might be coming up with every reason. Yeah, I've got totals for you guys here. And then what about to get romance points? [01:57:59] Speaker D: Right? [01:58:00] Speaker B: We can't milk that every time. You can't kiss him every time for a little more xp. Hey, I've Been real patient today. This is still not a democracy. All right, y', all, for the discerning Zorgo's plan, you're taking that envelope and you're pushing it. For discerning Zorgo's plan, that was 0.03 levels. So the fungi gain a total of 213 levels. A huge XP jump, 0.21.213. And then the warriors 1, 9 6. [01:58:34] Speaker C: We are level 19. [01:58:35] Speaker A: We are at 6. [01:58:37] Speaker E: Well, level 19, you just leveled up. [01:58:40] Speaker C: Yeah, 18.935. [01:58:44] Speaker B: Because last session, you guys fought seven enemies above CR. Like 20. I forgot about that. [01:58:54] Speaker E: That was a total 19. [01:58:56] Speaker F: That rocks. [01:58:57] Speaker A: Fun guys. [01:59:00] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:59:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:59:03] Speaker A: Fun guys are at 16.734. [01:59:08] Speaker E: Andrea, what's the total? [01:59:12] Speaker C: Let me confirm the math real quick. [01:59:13] Speaker E: Okay. [01:59:14] Speaker B: I can't believe you guys leveled off. [01:59:16] Speaker C: Leveled up off of that 19.131131. [01:59:21] Speaker B: That's insane. I mean, I know I've been juicing the XP a little bit here at the end, but that's crazy that you leveled off of that. [01:59:28] Speaker A: Crazy. [01:59:29] Speaker B: Dude. I'm gonna trade out blown through the later levels because I've just been like, here's a fight with seven enemies who. Whose CR equals a total of 80. And here's a massive plot thing. This is why I think leveling that's built around things other than just gaining XP for fighting is so essential because, like, it makes it make sense. At the end of the campaign, when you have these culminations for things that took years and years, it makes sense to be like, hey, you're getting a whole tenth of a level here. Because this thing just came to fruition that you've been working on for seven years. So at the beginning, when it takes a long time to gain those levels, years to gain them, it makes sense. And then at the end, when you can move to those powerful levels at the zenith of a campaign, makes a lot of sense that you get there quickly. I don't know. I'm going to be a little stingier with the levels in Campaign 2, but I'm very fan. I really like the way this has gone in campaign one. I cannot believe you're level 19. That's crazy. [02:00:23] Speaker C: We could re roll a one on the hit die. [02:00:26] Speaker B: You can? Okay. [02:00:29] Speaker C: A six. Much better. [02:00:32] Speaker B: Yeah, we always re roll once for hit hit die. That's crazy. Somebody messaged Daniel. That's wild. I can't believe that happened. [02:00:47] Speaker C: Also, even though I finally did cast it, I am changing my six level spell. [02:00:53] Speaker B: Yeah, buddy. It just ain't the way it needs [02:00:56] Speaker C: to change to something useful in a battle. [02:00:59] Speaker A: You're a world, right? [02:01:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:01:02] Speaker B: I love that you finally used it. Okay, okay, okay. We're gonna get started. Life is an incredible adventure. [02:01:11] Speaker F: Hello, listener. [02:01:12] Speaker B: Listener. Life is an incredible adventure. And you're a very important part of it. There's plenty left.
