Episode Transcript

[00:00:07] Speaker A: Welcome back to fairly DMC. [00:00:15] Speaker B: You're sort of dungeons and Dragons podcast. [00:00:22] Speaker C: Hey, we're. I didn't think you guys were really gonna do it. [00:00:27] Speaker A: We did it. You didn't have faith in us, but we did it. Yay. [00:00:32] Speaker B: That was a very special intro for a very special episode, you guys. [00:00:38] Speaker C: Yeah, it's. It's episode one Hundo, which is wild. [00:00:47] Speaker B: We don't have an applause button, so I was just. [00:00:51] Speaker C: I can start the Nordstrom music, but I don't have an applause button. [00:00:54] Speaker B: No, thank you. [00:00:55] Speaker A: I was thinking about how, like, oh, gosh, what's that gonna be like in post? Like, did we just make someone's job a lot harder? [00:01:04] Speaker D: No, you do not. [00:01:05] Speaker C: I promise. The voice that went into. [00:01:08] Speaker D: But no. [00:01:09] Speaker C: Are my waveforms too small, or are they okay? [00:01:11] Speaker D: No, they're. They're actually teetering on too big, so, um. [00:01:15] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Okay, cool. [00:01:16] Speaker D: But no, they're fine. They look good. [00:01:17] Speaker C: They look good. Oh, I gotcha. [00:01:18] Speaker D: But, yeah, no, this is episode 100. We've. We've sat at a table a hundred times and played pretend with each other. [00:01:27] Speaker C: How does that. [00:01:29] Speaker B: With each of our characters? [00:01:30] Speaker D: You know, if it's an average of. I don't know, let's say 3 hours a session, that's 300 hours. Wow, that's longer. I know some have been longer. [00:01:42] Speaker C: Yeah. I think our average episode time. Our average episode time is 2 hours, but it does go up and down a lot, so. I don't know, man. It's a lot. It's a lot. [00:01:52] Speaker B: That's a lot of hours. [00:01:53] Speaker C: They say once you do something for a thousand hours, you're a master, so. Or is that 10,000? [00:01:59] Speaker D: No, that's a thousand. You have to do this for a long time for the technical difficulties go away. [00:02:06] Speaker B: I don't even know if it'll do. [00:02:07] Speaker C: It long enough that we're no longer recording, and then the technical difficulties will go away. So, listeners, this is. This is. This is episode 100. Holy cow. We're, like, past halfway through on the accidental adventures campaign. Or roughly. [00:02:25] Speaker B: Don't say that. [00:02:26] Speaker A: I don't like when you say that. It makes me want to cry. [00:02:28] Speaker C: We're doing this a long time. [00:02:31] Speaker D: I have a. Listeners, thank you. Oh, sorry. Okay, listeners, thank you. Please keep going. [00:02:36] Speaker C: I was gonna say listeners, thank you for. I mean, you know, thank you for listening. If you're on Patreon, thank you so much for supporting, but honestly, thank you for coming on the adventure. You know, just thank you for doing it with us again and again and again. And if you listen casually. That's dope. I hope you enjoy it, but if you also really connect with the stories, we appreciate that a lot. We appreciate that you've invested so much in a shared story and that you've let it, you know, hopefully touch you so much. And I hope it means a lot to you. And thank you to all the players at the table, specifically not Abby. She does not count. Thank you to everybody else. [00:03:12] Speaker D: She might drop in later. I'm not sure. I messaged her, but I don't know. [00:03:17] Speaker C: I feel like probstall. But perhaps you don't know. She is very unpredictable. That is true. [00:03:23] Speaker A: We love that about her. [00:03:24] Speaker C: Oh, I am missing dice. So why would somebody else suggest the letter question and then I go get my dice? [00:03:31] Speaker D: I have a lot of questions. [00:03:32] Speaker B: Two letter questions. [00:03:34] Speaker D: We do two episodes. [00:03:36] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. You write. You write. [00:03:38] Speaker A: I. I want you. [00:03:40] Speaker D: When I have a letter, I have editor superiority. [00:03:43] Speaker B: Okay, that's fair. [00:03:46] Speaker A: He got you. He got you. [00:03:48] Speaker D: Third watch. And she puts a lot of effort into those as well. So she is a barely D and D editor. [00:03:51] Speaker B: Not nearly as hard to deal with as I know the big episodes are. So I'm not going to take any credit there. [00:04:01] Speaker D: I don't know. I was going to ask if your character from episode one got to meet your character from episode 100. What would they think about them? [00:04:13] Speaker C: That's a dope question. [00:04:17] Speaker D: And for the DMNPC, I really think we have to do tello. We have to do tello. [00:04:23] Speaker A: We have to do tell. Oh, my gosh. Hey, yo. [00:04:26] Speaker B: Hey, yo. [00:04:27] Speaker A: It's a silver version of mine. Wait, it's not actually. Okay. [00:04:32] Speaker C: No, it has dragons all over it. [00:04:33] Speaker A: But anyway, that's a dope question, so. [00:04:37] Speaker D: So we're doing tell them. [00:04:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I definitely think so. [00:04:41] Speaker D: Also, Jackie, what's your question? We did two questions, Jackie. [00:04:43] Speaker B: No, we'll do my question. The next one. Yeah, no, you didn't at all. I forgot you weren't in here when I was telling Mike and Zach about it before recording. [00:04:55] Speaker D: My bad, my bad. [00:04:57] Speaker B: It was a silly one. Yours is much cooler than mine. [00:05:03] Speaker C: Let's get Rowan. [00:05:06] Speaker B: No, I don't know. [00:05:09] Speaker A: I can go first. [00:05:10] Speaker C: Okay. Let's get Greg. [00:05:12] Speaker A: I would say that first day, Craig would not take real Craig, like, now seriously at all. And we go, ha. [00:05:19] Speaker C: I don't think so. [00:05:20] Speaker A: And then get bored of him and then, like, walk away to something more interesting. Probably, like, throw out, like, a little insult or, like, a really jabby comment, and then, like, go. It would be a short conversation because Craig would be like, man, this isn't entertaining to me. And then walk away. [00:05:43] Speaker C: It's wild how different. First day Craig and episode 100 Craig are like, they're like, they're not different people, but they are worlds apart. Yeah, that's wild. It is so much growth. What would episode 100 Craig say to first day Craig as he walked away? [00:06:04] Speaker A: Oh, man. [00:06:05] Speaker D: Put on some DC, let him go. [00:06:10] Speaker A: Oh, man. [00:06:13] Speaker C: Or would he just kind of let him go? [00:06:18] Speaker A: I feel like Craig would try to explain to him that the way that he loves is selfish. I feel like that would be the initial purpose of the conversation is an intervention of sort with past Craig trying to say, like, look, the way that you try and love people is selfish and in the end you're just wanting to get something out of it. And then past Craig would be like, nah, like, you just don't understand how people work or like something of that sort and walk away. [00:06:57] Speaker C: You just don't understand me. You just me. [00:07:03] Speaker A: Exactly. But that's Craig's next. [00:07:11] Speaker D: I can go. [00:07:12] Speaker C: I'm not afraid to answer this question. [00:07:16] Speaker D: I feel like Boz from episode one would be very confused in regard to how it kind of feels like boss from episode 100 is kind of completely not abandoned the reason why he left in the first place. But I feel like episode one boss had a very strong sense of direction, a sense of purpose, goals and outline, had no idea how to get anywhere or how to solve the problem at hand. But he knew the problem that he was solving and the future was a lot clearer. This was a thing that was going to get solved and he was going to go home and resume life as normal. That was the goal. And I think he would be very perplexed by current day Boz and I, I think is not angry or I think he'd be more curious about like, what happened. [00:08:13] Speaker C: So do you feel like it would be like one big information exchange? Like, okay, here, heads up. Here's what, here's what you need to know. [00:08:21] Speaker D: I don't know. I don't know if he was, if Boz was just given all the information like that, I don't know if he would believe it or even take it seriously. I feel like he would say, that's, thank you for that. I'm gonna go do my own thing now and I'll let you know how I think about that after I experience it or see it for myself. But thank you. Like probably with a grain of salt, like, ah, I don't know. I don't know if he'd believe it. Like, I don't know if he. I don't know if he'd believe it. I think he would be curious to figure out why, and then he would hear that, and he'd be like, I don't know. I feel like he would have had to experience the things he experienced and see the things he did and talk to the people he did in order to understand it. He would definitely be like, Thomas, let me put the hand in your side. For sure. [00:09:08] Speaker C: Yeah. Okay. [00:09:09] Speaker A: I have a question for Boz for the answer. Do you think that any or just goes to anyone, do you think that your past self, like, past character self, would be disappointed in their future self, knowing the morals and values that they have, just kind of like an addition to that? [00:09:29] Speaker D: I'll tell you one thing. I don't think the past boss would be disappointed in future boss. I feel like he'd be. He'd be. He'd leave being very confused, but still kind of the same way. Um, I think future boss, if he could say anything to past boss, he would probably say, go home and just enjoy the time you have. [00:09:47] Speaker C: Wow. Dang. So future. I mean, again, not that it's a bad thing, but future boss thinks it's that, like, dire and bleak. [00:09:58] Speaker D: Yeah, I think I would tell. I think. I think future boss would tell past Boz to. [00:10:06] Speaker C: Dang, go explore another road. [00:10:10] Speaker D: Because at that point, I feel like Boz is too wrapped up in the world to kind of, like, separate his own culture and people from the other people that he's met and loved and gotten to know. And I don't think, think he could, like, abandon Craig's family or tell his father or whoever rose in love with it at a moment, you know? Um, but I feel like past boss still has that plausible deniability. [00:10:32] Speaker C: Right. Take me a second to get that. That was really good. I'm sorry. [00:10:35] Speaker D: He still. He doesn't understand the world or know it or is connected to it. He could go home and try to solve the problems a new way. [00:10:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:10:44] Speaker D: And I feel like that's what Boz would tell him to say, go home before you find out too much. I feel like he wouldn't tell him everything. I feel like he would legitimately say. [00:10:52] Speaker B: Like, you would try to protect him almost. [00:10:54] Speaker D: Yeah. Like, go. Go back to your people and. And fix what's going on there. Or, like, go to the feywild or, like, leave as soon as you can. I feel like you'd be like, run, basically. [00:11:08] Speaker C: That's why. But honest, I mean, I don't know. That's. Yeah, it's a powerful answer. Jay Quellen, what would Ro say? [00:11:19] Speaker B: Past rowe would go, oh, my God. Time travel exists. [00:11:24] Speaker A: Just kidding. [00:11:25] Speaker D: Are we married to the king? [00:11:26] Speaker B: In the future, are we married to the king? She doesn't even know the king as well. I mean, she probably knows, but she. [00:11:32] Speaker D: Knows there are kings. [00:11:33] Speaker B: She does know there are kings. [00:11:36] Speaker C: Today I listened to the episode where Ro meets the king, and I relived the moment where Jackie was like, I don't know, maybe Ro wants to pursue a king. And then everyone broke out. [00:11:50] Speaker B: I think. [00:11:53] Speaker C: This is a great question. [00:11:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I think so. How much time has passed? Like, I know what's gone on, but it's only been, like, what, six months, four months? [00:12:02] Speaker C: Yeah. No, no, no. More like six or seven months or something. Like a little more than half a year. [00:12:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess so. [00:12:10] Speaker C: I think really, like, nothing but back to back church camps. Just so much transformation and intensity and removal from regular life. [00:12:20] Speaker B: I think. I think. I think past row would be what? I had a word in mind, and then it flew out of my brain. But I think she would kind of be overwhelmed and astonished, honestly, of. I don't think she would grasp the. The, like, depth of what it. Of what's. Of what's occurred and what's happened. Like, I don't think she would. I don't think she would understand. Like, I. Not that she wouldn't understand, but I think she would be more, like, excited, like, oh, sick. Love that we're trying to save. Like, not that she was, like, a valley girl. I'm kind of portraying her as that right now, but, like, she'd be, like, cool. So we're, like, the ones to save the world. You met people. All she would get out of it. [00:13:20] Speaker C: Is like, oh, dope, we're really important and powerful. I got you. Yeah. [00:13:23] Speaker B: And, like, I think she would kind of do that because she's always been on a mission to become important. And so I think instead of realizing the levity of the situation of, like, I think she would just be, like, sick. You fought dole Gov. Nice. Like, not that she's dumb in any way. I just don't think she could even, like, who could grasp that? Like, if someone was talking to me about that, about, like, war or something, I wouldn't be able to comprehend the actual depth of how awful, you know, so. [00:13:54] Speaker C: And if nothing else, like, I think that's just a testament to how much ro has, like, mellowed and. [00:14:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:01] Speaker C: Started to think about other people and that's. That's a really good point. [00:14:03] Speaker B: I think one of her questions would be like, so do more people, like, know our name? Like, is rowey in a green bottle a household name? [00:14:13] Speaker C: What's the one thing that episode 100 row would say to episode one row? [00:14:18] Speaker B: I think she'd tell her a little bit. [00:14:22] Speaker C: Okay. [00:14:25] Speaker B: She'd be like, just. Just, like, take a breath and, you know, do more of your, you know, really, really do some looking on the inside, and, you know, the things that you think are important now down the road are going to change. And just know that, like, you can't control everything. Like, there's going to be times when you can't control things and you're not in charge, and you're just going to have to go with the stuff. So just chill a little bit. [00:15:02] Speaker A: Okay. [00:15:03] Speaker C: I really appreciate how much you guys have let this story affect your characters. It's really cool. Also, it's really fun watching Micah slowly but surely unravel all this yarn. I was occasionally getting distracted from everyone's answers because I just kept looking at her, and I can't tell if the knot she's working on is getting smaller. I don't think it is. She's just reshaping it. [00:15:25] Speaker A: It's so frustrating. I just want to crochet, and it won't let me. [00:15:32] Speaker C: Just find one thread. Pull one thread till it comes out. [00:15:36] Speaker A: That's what I've been doing. [00:15:38] Speaker C: Okay. [00:15:39] Speaker B: What about tello? [00:15:41] Speaker C: Tello? [00:15:41] Speaker B: Ooh, that's some. [00:15:43] Speaker C: Well, I think. I think Pastello would have very little to say to future tello. Like, I think. Cause he. You know, I mean, looking back, he was just in a place of lying to himself and not really dealing with any of his problems. And, you know, so I think he would just be like, hey, how's it going with the weirdos? And then I think it's new tello. Who would look at pastel and be like, sit down, buddy. And I think it would just be like. I think it would be an incredibly potent conversation of tello being like, you know, all that stuff that we don't talk about, and old Tello being like, yeah. Nutella being like, yeah, we dealt with. We're dealing with it. And old Teller being like, no. And I think. I think it would be very similar to what you and Landon said about, like, you know, like, they wouldn't get it. Like, I think old Teller would be like, I mean, cool, but no. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:16:39] Speaker C: And especially not those idiots. Like, I think. I think. Tell me. Like, no, it's not. No, no, no. And I think. I think he would almost be the inverse of Boz, where, like, old Teller would look at Nutello and be like, oh, I need to pick a different course of action, because if you're there, then everything's gone badly wrong. So I think it would be the opposite, where old Teller would be like, I need to switch. And Nutella would be like, no, no, you need that. You need these people. You need this. And Oltella would be like, no, no, no. I got to get out. So, yeah, it's nice to know, even. [00:17:10] Speaker D: After everything, Nutella would still tell his past self to do the things that he already did. [00:17:16] Speaker C: I I mean, Nutello. I don't know how he could. I mean, you guys are just the most important people in the world to him. [00:17:23] Speaker B: Would he tell old Tello to tell us sooner, you think? [00:17:30] Speaker C: Oh, probably. Yeah. [00:17:33] Speaker A: I wonder if that thought keeps him up at night, too. [00:17:35] Speaker D: I think Tello told us at the right time, to be honest. [00:17:38] Speaker B: No, I love Tello told y'all when. [00:17:41] Speaker C: He couldn't handle it anymore. [00:17:43] Speaker D: I know, I know. But I think it worked out perfect. [00:17:45] Speaker C: Zachary. [00:17:45] Speaker B: No, I love that moment. I'm just saying. I was just wondering, like, in Tello's brain, if he got a chance to talk to his past self. What, do you tell them to do it sooner, you know? [00:17:55] Speaker C: Well, I'll tell you what. We're getting into third watch territory. This is a killer intro, so let's. Let's go to the episode. Um, note taking, nerds. This is episode. Thank you for honoring Abby's legacy. Okay, it's fine. I know it's not a big deal, but I'm just going to take one very brief moment of grieving to acknowledge that Abby's not here for episode 100. That's okay. It's all right. [00:18:22] Speaker D: Also, shout out to Jackie Butler, because her birthday was last week. This week on Monday. [00:18:27] Speaker B: Hi. [00:18:28] Speaker C: She's 13. [00:18:29] Speaker B: I'm 13 now. [00:18:33] Speaker D: Not true. Not true. But happy birthday to our favorite part. [00:18:39] Speaker C: Her hair is even greener. [00:18:41] Speaker B: Yeah, it is. [00:18:42] Speaker D: The hair is greener on the other side, my friend. [00:18:44] Speaker A: April 1. Wait, no, that's a screen on the other side. [00:18:48] Speaker B: What? [00:18:49] Speaker C: Okay, anyway, point is, happy St. Patrick's day. [00:18:54] Speaker B: I got. I got a bat tattoo for my birthday, and it looks. It's like. I mean, it's in a. I love bats. You guys know that I talk about all the time, but I'm now matching with Ro, so I just have to say that because Ro also has a bat tattoo. [00:19:10] Speaker C: And also, in honor of Ro. Next year, Jackie's going to tattoo all of her skin greenhouse, and she's gonna start going with purple hair. [00:19:20] Speaker D: That you won't. [00:19:21] Speaker B: Jackie Zach is paying for that. [00:19:23] Speaker D: At some point, like, you could have a random person do that because if they mess up, it's the same color everywhere. So they just keep going. They fill in. It's like, color painful. [00:19:32] Speaker B: That would be your whole body. [00:19:35] Speaker D: People have done one anyway. [00:19:37] Speaker C: No taking nerds. This is episode 100, whispers in the woods. [00:19:46] Speaker A: Why are the woods whispering? I want to hear what they're saying. [00:19:51] Speaker C: It is a level ten adventure. The date is 3488 pb, and the date is unknown. So the year is 3488 pb. [00:20:02] Speaker B: I thought we learned. [00:20:05] Speaker C: No, no, your story told us the date. Never mind. [00:20:09] Speaker D: We found the thing. [00:20:10] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Well, so what did your group say it was last time? [00:20:16] Speaker B: I can tell you. Give me 5 seconds, please. [00:20:18] Speaker D: Said it was Tuesday. [00:20:19] Speaker B: It's Tuesday. [00:20:21] Speaker C: I believe it was a Tuesday. [00:20:23] Speaker B: It's Wednesday, my dudes. [00:20:25] Speaker C: That's a Julian Smith reference. [00:20:28] Speaker B: I. Hold on. I had. I took, like, six pages of notes last. [00:20:32] Speaker C: I think it's Calidron. [00:20:35] Speaker B: 7Th of Kallidron. But I don't know. Did we sleep again since then? I don't think so, no. [00:20:46] Speaker C: So to come back in. Hold on. Let me make sure I have the right song here. I'm not going to accidentally play the North Storm 100 episode. [00:20:58] Speaker B: Here's a dragon. [00:21:01] Speaker C: Happy 100. Am I successfully playing music? [00:21:06] Speaker A: Last time it was our dungeon, and this time it's our dragon. [00:21:10] Speaker C: Dragon. [00:21:14] Speaker D: Imagine dungeons. [00:21:17] Speaker B: No, no. [00:21:20] Speaker C: Landon de inspiration. [00:21:22] Speaker D: I think I literally have inspiration. If you take it from me, I will. [00:21:26] Speaker C: No, I would never do that. [00:21:28] Speaker D: I will. I will cry tears as I respect your decision and wipe it from my shell, please. [00:21:32] Speaker C: No. [00:21:32] Speaker A: I like to think that he said, I will never do that. And then something in second. The second episode happens, and. [00:21:48] Speaker C: Rowan up. [00:21:50] Speaker B: That's my name. Don't wear it out. I say it both ways. [00:21:56] Speaker C: You can feel, like, you feel wet. You feel cool, wet sensation all along your left side. It's really easy to break Micah, and I really appreciate that about her. [00:22:12] Speaker B: When you said that, I literally all of a sudden got, like, a chill of, like, when you're, like, moist after being out in the rain all day. [00:22:20] Speaker C: Like, I was like, ew, that's my favorite feeling. But. All right, Miss OCD, the left side of your body feels damp and you feel a little cold. [00:22:31] Speaker B: Wait, why am I left side? [00:22:35] Speaker A: Do you sleep on? [00:22:36] Speaker C: I'm gonna let you start engaging the scene okay, wait. [00:22:39] Speaker B: So did. We just had the whole vision thing, basically, and so this. [00:22:46] Speaker C: Everything is black. The left side of your body feels wet. [00:22:51] Speaker B: Can I open my eyes? [00:22:54] Speaker C: Okay. There's, like a. There's, like, a really dull pain would be the wrong word. Ache is the wrong word. But there's just an intense sensation, like, all across your forehead and kind of behind your eyes. And it'd be hard to call it good or bad. It's just a lot. And it's. It's like. But it's got, like, a really. It's not like the hard pulse of a headache. It's got, like, kind of, like, a gentle thrum. And as you blink your eyes, they kind of resolve into something a little fuzzy. And the left eye, like, opens to a bit of water, and so, like, shuts really quickly and or liquid of some kind. And as you kind of, like, blink in and out a little bit, and you're not, like, struggling is too strong of a word, but in your, like, sort of reaction to it, you dip your face down to the left a little bit, and you inhale a little bit of water into your left nostril and your mouth, and you have to, like, sputter it a little bit. And as your senses start to come back to you, as your vision is still kind of working back in, what returns to you first is your tactile sensation. And, yeah, the whole left side of your body is wet up to a couple inches. And as you kind of start, like, lifting your head off, I assume righting yourself with your chest down toward. Yeah, you put. You put your, like, the left half of your body rises out of water, and your left hand is a couple inches underwater, and your right hand sets down into very cool. Not, like, cold, just very cool and pleasant liquid, I'm gonna, like, kind of. [00:24:20] Speaker B: Starting to blink in it now, and I can't. I still can't, like, relay she that. [00:24:23] Speaker C: Well, it's coming to you. But think about, like, the hardest time you've ever had waking up in the morning. [00:24:30] Speaker B: I think my hands are gonna start feeling around to try and find my loo. [00:24:34] Speaker C: Okay. As you start moving your hands all over, you do. After a moment, you're, like. You can feel, and there's, like, a slight echo on the end of it, but your hearing is resolving as well. And you can feel and hear the sound of your. Of your hands moving through water. And you feel very, very hard, purposely smooth stone below so it reminds you of the temple chamber you were in. And as you start blinking in and out finally, you look up, and you can see the shape of your loot, and you grab it and pull it toward you, and, like, your senses are coming back to you, and everything's a little like. In fact, the images are starting to, like, crispin and crystallize. Crispin turning to crystal. [00:25:20] Speaker B: They're getting crispy. [00:25:22] Speaker C: They're starting to get fried. Jiminy's starting to crystallize. But it's like. It's like you're getting, like, a full amount of vision and then having to blink shut. And then, like, full amount of vision having to blink shut. But as your senses come back to you, do find yourself, like, in the. [00:25:38] Speaker B: Chamber, you think, do I see any of my party members are up? [00:25:44] Speaker C: Okay. As you blink and look around. [00:25:47] Speaker B: Why is Micah. [00:25:49] Speaker C: The whole chamber is filled with a very shallow. What's funny, Micah? [00:25:54] Speaker A: I couldn't stop running over my blanket. I'm sorry. You keep going. I'm so sorry. [00:26:00] Speaker C: That's why I was on mute. [00:26:02] Speaker A: Keep going. [00:26:04] Speaker C: That's what was making you laugh that hard, was you running over your blanket. And Ronnie, as you look around, you realize that there are, like, three inches of water in the bottom of the sanctuary everywhere. [00:26:20] Speaker B: Like where we were. Like, it wasn't wet before, like where. [00:26:23] Speaker C: Well, you remember there were those, like, minute streams of water running in between the carvings, but there's now, like, three or four inches of it, and it's that perfectly cool water. And as you look around the room, you see the massive tree in the center, incredible and awe inspiring. And you do eventually make out the shapes of each of your party members. Boz is sort of. He's, like, laying on his back, face up, and the water's like, kind of just below the edges of his face. Greta is laying on her right side, Craig on his left facing away, and Tello is also on his back, facing upward. [00:27:13] Speaker B: I think. I think. Who's closest to me? [00:27:18] Speaker C: Boz, we see. [00:27:20] Speaker B: I think I'm gonna try to call out to him and just see if he can, like, hear me or anything. [00:27:28] Speaker C: Okay. I mean, you do produce your voice, and there is sound, boz, you hear kind of like a dull, resonant echoing somewhere in the distance, and it. It pulls you back toward reality. And you have a similar experience to the one ro had, sort of slowly resolving. The chamber is not dark, but it's also not deeply bright. It just has that sort of sourceless light to it. So you start resolving the image of the room above. And just in the left of your periphery, you can see the end of those verdant emerald green leaves. And then, like, above you, the dark stone ceiling, and you're starting to, like, come awake, and the whole back of you feels wet. [00:28:09] Speaker D: Was my staff. Well, blessed. [00:28:16] Speaker C: Is that something that I told you to write down? [00:28:20] Speaker D: I was asleep, so I don't know. I'm just asking. [00:28:24] Speaker B: Are you just saying that because my loot was. [00:28:26] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:28:29] Speaker C: Oh, shoot. That's part of the nose I don't have. Let's come back to that. [00:28:33] Speaker D: Okay, that sounds good to me. TBD. Boss wakes up. [00:28:37] Speaker B: He goes, ro, I did a whole thing with the maker. Symbol for it to be, well, blessed. [00:28:41] Speaker A: Isn't that what happened? [00:28:44] Speaker C: Uh huh. So Boz wakes up. [00:28:48] Speaker D: Whoa, I'm wet. That's new. [00:28:56] Speaker B: Great. [00:29:00] Speaker D: I can't believe we still have to find the well. Still. We haven't found it yet. [00:29:07] Speaker B: What is it? [00:29:09] Speaker A: Oh, well. [00:29:12] Speaker B: Oh, well. [00:29:12] Speaker D: Roll credits. This has been episode 100. Baz wakes up, and he sits up very suddenly as he. As he does, like he's a narcoleptic, awaking from a sudden slumber that he didn't expect to have. And he turns over, and, you know, he's had the same visions that everybody else has had, which I have verified by reading the document that Zachary sent in the discord. So I know what vision that was now. And, you know, there is just a sense of wonder and awe in his eyes as he just kind of sits there next to you, speechless. [00:29:49] Speaker B: Yeah. I think after Ro, like, called for Boz, I think she's just kind of sitting there in the butt. I, like, picture her sitting up with her feet kind of just sitting in front of her. Like, she's not cross legged or anything. Just like, her feet are out in front of her. And I think her fingers are just tracing the parts of the loot that kind of, you know, healed up, basically, you know, for lack of a better word. [00:30:17] Speaker C: And even the part. The symbols are part of the loot now, if I remember correctly. Right. [00:30:21] Speaker B: Exactly. So I think she's running her fingers over the symbol and. And through the cracks that are now filled with that, like, shine, and she's not really saying anything, I think, you know, it's kind of like Landon said, like, there's not much to say right now. Like, she's just kind of. She's just glad that she came to. And apparently boz did, too. And now she's just kind of in shock. I mean, they've been through, like, a lot, but, like, it seems like every time they experience something incredible, something more incredible happens. Like, I mean, just like a few weeks ago, she saw Sayloon and now she saw this. And so she's like, yeah. [00:31:08] Speaker C: Deeply intense experience in Zed is just the opposite of how everything went in the earth and bloom. [00:31:13] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:17] Speaker C: Okay, Craig, at some point. Point, cool dampness to your right and you sort of slowly wake up. [00:31:27] Speaker A: Oh, man. Was I crying in my sleep again? That's embarrassing. Oh, my gosh. What kind of dream was that? Just so beautiful, it made me cry. Oh, hey, keep going. [00:31:44] Speaker C: I'm just grabbing something. [00:31:47] Speaker A: Probably the tissues for Craig's tears. But I don't know, he kind of. He wakes up and. Well, man, you know, it'd be so cool if there's a good sitting in the chair because then, like, I could ask him the distance. [00:32:03] Speaker C: He's right here. He's just grabbing his cat. Please continue. [00:32:08] Speaker A: Just wondering what the distance is between Craig and the other players. [00:32:11] Speaker C: Because maybe I like 30ft. [00:32:14] Speaker A: Okay, that's kind of far anyways. That's like a lot of people. That's like a lot of tall people. [00:32:25] Speaker C: That's like. What are you, like Red Bull? What's happening? There's gotta be an outlet nearby. Micah, just plug a finger in. I don't know. Don't do that at home, kids. [00:32:38] Speaker A: Zack just told me to put my finger in an outlet. [00:32:42] Speaker D: Zach just told Micah to. [00:32:47] Speaker C: Anyway, so what do you do as you wake up, Craig? [00:32:51] Speaker A: I don't know. I mean, like, he just wants to go join the rest of the party and kind of ask them if they had that same interesting vision. Hey, did you have weird images? [00:33:10] Speaker D: I saw the creation of the world, Craig. [00:33:13] Speaker B: Is that where that was? [00:33:14] Speaker A: That? [00:33:17] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:33:19] Speaker A: What do we. What are we supposed to. What do we do with that? [00:33:24] Speaker D: Now we know that evolution isn't true, we can go tell everybody that. That we know that it was made in one day. [00:33:31] Speaker A: I thought it was supposed to be seven. [00:33:34] Speaker D: That's a different religion, Craig. [00:33:35] Speaker A: Oh, crap. [00:33:39] Speaker D: I think that. I don't think there's something that we have to do with this knowledge. I think that this experience and this knowledge is something that we are going to carry with us as we move forward. But I think this tree is the west wood. [00:33:59] Speaker B: Okay? [00:34:00] Speaker D: This tree is all of the west. [00:34:01] Speaker B: You do. [00:34:03] Speaker C: You do know. Oh, wait, sorry. I get what you're saying now, boz. I was gonna clear. I was gonna clarify the geography. I'm with you. Please continue. [00:34:11] Speaker D: Yeah, this. This tree here is every tree in the Westwood. [00:34:18] Speaker A: So I remember you saying before that it's all tree. It's all one tree. [00:34:23] Speaker D: And it's this tree. [00:34:25] Speaker B: I mean, I'll think it's. [00:34:28] Speaker D: Road probably thinks that it's a bush somewhere. I don't know. But this is the tree. [00:34:33] Speaker B: No, not to get to like, deep or whatever, look too forward to it, but I mean, like, I. I think it's more than the Westwood. Right? Like, uh. [00:34:50] Speaker C: Hold on. Oh, so sorry. I accidentally clicked the music and then it attempted to murder us. The music says roll for initiative. I am sorry. One of the things that was said when you were asleep, not to call you out. That's okay. But one of the things that. That was said in that time and also that was said as information that the players can know but the characters do not, is that that tree is a living catalog of all living creatures. So it is. [00:35:25] Speaker D: You said the characters can know that. No, the players can. [00:35:29] Speaker C: Players know that. The characters don't. So ro is not aware of that. I mean, though she could have. I don't know, she could have an opinion of its. Of its size or nature. But the players were informed that, like, the genome of every living creature in any plane of existence is recorded in the, like, fibers, tissues and cell walls of this tree. And that's what makes up the tree. And there is a leaf on the tree for every single family of every living organism. [00:35:57] Speaker B: I think I was more so as ro going to be like. I mean, because this tree showed us a vision. Like, I don't think she could ever, like, obviously our characters can't ever comprehend like that, but I think she would be like, since this is the tree that kind of gave us the vision that it's like. [00:36:17] Speaker C: And you all do remember that the thing that gave you the tree's just in the room. The thing that gave you the vision was the playing of the words on the wall. [00:36:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:36:27] Speaker C: I know it's been a while, and I know it was late night, and I know we weren't all conscious, so I thought I'd clarify. [00:36:34] Speaker B: I get, yeah. I guess I'm like, it's a hard line for me to. [00:36:39] Speaker C: Okay, sure. Yeah. If the nature of interpretation take it. [00:36:43] Speaker B: Away as, like, as a player, because in my mind, I feel like Ro would be like, it's connected and so, like, it's like. Like a tree of life. But maybe she wouldn't be able to. [00:36:55] Speaker C: Comprehend that if it was. If it was a thing of. If it was a thing of interpretation. Please feel free to take away dm reference out. Keep going. Go get em. [00:37:09] Speaker D: This isn't just a tree. This is the tree. [00:37:12] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, I think it's like, it's. I mean, obviously there's something special about it and about this place and the tree being here. [00:37:23] Speaker D: How far away is the tree diem. [00:37:24] Speaker B: From us right now? [00:37:28] Speaker C: It's like a 200 cubic foot chamber. You all are scattered around the tree. However far you would like it to be away from you. I don't know, 50ft, 30ft. [00:37:40] Speaker D: He's gonna walk up and put the mad prints, stack the mad prints on it and like interface it with the tree. [00:37:50] Speaker B: That face. This is like identify all over again. [00:38:03] Speaker C: I feel like. [00:38:07] Speaker D: We can come back to that later if we need to. [00:38:10] Speaker A: Do you need certain notes for this? Uh oh. [00:38:14] Speaker B: Do you need another drink of whiskey? [00:38:18] Speaker D: Is this a dumb choice, Zachary? [00:38:22] Speaker C: I mean, it's just your decision. [00:38:23] Speaker B: I just take another drink of whiskey. [00:38:26] Speaker C: I. It's not good, it's not bad. And it's not anything I need reference for. It's just. Wow, what a decision. I didn't, again, something I never considered. It's not full. Identify the orb again. But it's. It's halfway there. Um. Yeah, I like. This isn't something I need reference for, I guess, just something I have to make calls on. What happens when you put the crick of the mad prince? [00:38:52] Speaker D: Okay. Can I. Can I do the role play on. [00:38:53] Speaker C: The tree of all. Yeah, yeah, please. [00:38:56] Speaker D: All right, so everybody's kind of talking about the tree and Boz is probably still talking about it with Ro. You know, Craig is trailing off. He just kind of just starts walking towards the tree. [00:39:04] Speaker B: Rose, just more like, it's obviously. Obviously more significant than even the west one. I'm gonna leave it at that. Instead of using my player knowledge of knowing that it's like tree of life vibes. Okay. She just knows it's even more important. [00:39:15] Speaker D: He's gonna walk over and in his brain he's thinking, when I was setting this thing on the ground, it was like very excited to get as close to this thing as possible. Like, it was like going into the ground as soon as. And I think he's like looking at the staff, looking at the big tree and like saying like, huh, square peg, square hole. And he just kind of. He doesn't tell you anybody's doing. He just walks towards the tree and then sets his staff, like on the base of it and then just kind of sees, I think, and then sees what happens the way it is. [00:39:51] Speaker C: Lando, did I send an image in? Lauren, reference of. [00:39:56] Speaker D: I didn't see one of the trees. [00:39:58] Speaker C: Okay, let me. Let me grab something really quick, listeners. [00:40:04] Speaker D: I wish you could have seen Zachary's face when I said I was gonna do this. He was like, jaw dropped, mouth open. [00:40:09] Speaker B: Yeah, it was reminiscent of the orb. [00:40:11] Speaker D: Yeah, I was. I instantly felt fear. [00:40:17] Speaker C: I mean, I really thought I had it with giving you guys the creation story, but. Okay, so that's what the tree in the chamber looks like. Lando, that image right there, it's because. [00:40:26] Speaker A: You showed us that when. [00:40:28] Speaker D: Yes, I saw that last week. [00:40:29] Speaker C: So, like, there's like the whole temple and you guys are down here in the bottom chamber and you're in this huge room. So it's, it's a gigantic tree, incredibly beautiful and detailed. [00:40:38] Speaker B: Could you take a picture of that and send it in discord at break? [00:40:41] Speaker C: I most certainly can. And so at the base there's like this, there's like this like stone border that's filled with this deep pool of water that looks like it has like that. You cannot see the depths of which and you can't see the roots of the tree. The trunk just goes down into the water and it just kind of disappears into darkness. And you can reach across it with your staff for sure. The trunk is coming up out of the middle of the water. You just have to, like, kind of like reach out with it. And there's like three or 4ft of water before the tree. So you'd have to kind of like stick the staff all the way out. But I mean, of course you could. So, Boz, as you walk across the stone chamber, your footsteps, like sort of gently splashing and sending, like echoing patterns in the water with every step, as you go closer to the tree, you walk toward the stone and you notice that the water level out of the base of that basin at the bottom of the tree goes is above the edge of the stone guard. And that's what's filling the chamber. And as you step toward it, Ro, with your super high passive perception, even as you're kind of stunned, you're noticing every step that baaz is taking in the water is not creating circles outward of water, it's creating like three rings in patterns. Like baker symbols away from his steps. There are steps in the chamber. And as you move toward the tree, Boz, you lift up the crook of the mad prince, I assume. And what do you do with it? [00:42:25] Speaker D: I'm holding it backwards. Yeah, I'm holding it from the side of the emerald and I'm just like reaching out, trying to touch the base of the tree. I feel like I'm straining, you know? [00:42:37] Speaker C: Okay. [00:42:38] Speaker D: Trying my best to get it at least to touch the trunk of the tree or the root of some kind. [00:42:44] Speaker C: And so you touch the trunk with it? Yes. I mean, you can't reach it. [00:42:48] Speaker D: Yes, I do. [00:42:49] Speaker C: I do. I don't. I don't ask for this often, but someone give me something else they're doing in the room while I try and. [00:43:01] Speaker D: Go get a refill of cars, coffee. Just like, a minute or two while I do that. Yeah. [00:43:05] Speaker C: Yeah. So someone else. Someone else roleplay something, and we'll come back to this, because whatever decision I need to make, it's huge. So just, like, let me. [00:43:12] Speaker D: I'm sorry if I screw something up. Everything. I'm sorry. [00:43:16] Speaker C: Hey, hey. Y'all's game, y'all's campaign. Can't mess it up. That's not how it works. [00:43:20] Speaker D: Very. [00:43:20] Speaker C: I just have to. I just have to. I have to make a very big decision. So just like everybody else. Somebody else. [00:43:28] Speaker D: Am I about to poison this tree with chaos? [00:43:31] Speaker B: I think Ro is trying to. Quietly. She's, like, lifting up her hand that's, like, kind of wet, and she's trying to whistle, like, really softly, like, to see if she can, like, press to digitate the water off and stuff and going back and forth and it's not working, is it? [00:43:47] Speaker C: Can I press digitate it? [00:43:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:43:50] Speaker C: Cannot press digitate. I mean, it's coming off like water. [00:43:53] Speaker B: Does, but I think. And I think she, like, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think she has, like, enough understanding of, like, the spell and Arcana that she kind of. She kind of suspected that. And so she's, like, almost kind of experimenting. Like, she's watching the water drip off, and she's trying to do it, and it's not doing anything. And she's kind of, like, amazed, like, for the first time, she's like, okay. That it's not working, and she's just kind of playing with it and then looking at her loot again. She's just, like, in a state of kind of, like, wonderment, like a child that's just discovered, you know, lightning bugs. [00:44:27] Speaker A: Hey, Ronnie. So you know how, like, I like weapons and Micah, you're cutting in and. [00:44:36] Speaker C: Out, or me, you sound like. You sound like a microphone getting strained through a garbage disposal. [00:44:44] Speaker A: I'm closing some tabs out. [00:44:47] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Well, you sound better now. [00:44:50] Speaker C: You immediately sound better. [00:44:51] Speaker A: Yeah, it's because Walmart. Because I had. I had grocery order. Freaking Walmart. [00:44:56] Speaker C: Just enough. It's cuz Walmart. [00:44:59] Speaker A: It's cuz Walmart. So you know how you're asking my card. You know how, like, I like weapons and how, like. [00:45:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:45:09] Speaker A: Do you want to see my new one? Longsword? [00:45:12] Speaker B: I like. What. [00:45:14] Speaker A: Do you want to see the new. Do you want to see my min. It's called. It's actually. I don't have the. You know, Craig doesn't know the name, but I call. I found this super cool long sword. [00:45:27] Speaker B: When we were back. When you found it, just pretend that you don't. [00:45:32] Speaker A: Just pretend that you don't remember, because I want to be excited about this. [00:45:38] Speaker B: Is it, like, magical or anything? Or does it, like, how do I. [00:45:42] Speaker A: Find out if it's magical? Hey, I have magical awareness. [00:45:46] Speaker B: Well, I mean. [00:45:47] Speaker A: I mean, I can sometimes tell when things are magical. [00:45:50] Speaker B: That is true. You could also. I mean, I could. I think. I think. I want to say that when I saw cast identify on it. Cray. [00:46:01] Speaker C: It has been identified. You do know it's magical. You do know everything. It does. Okay, so you know that the sword's name is minister. [00:46:09] Speaker A: I was under. I forgot about that. That's the sound of replaying. I mean, rewinding. [00:46:16] Speaker C: If anybody wants recaps on things that happened last episode, just let me know. [00:46:20] Speaker B: That this conversation actually did occur, because they just had this incredible vision, and Craig couldn't even remember about the sword, and then Rose couldn't remember that she already identified it, and then she like, yeah, it's all coming back to me now, Craig. It is a pretty cool weapon, though. I'm excited to, um. To. To see you, see you wield it. Not that I'm, you know, hoping for any bad things to come around the corner, but I'm always glad to have you near. If things bad are around the corner, I. I. [00:46:50] Speaker A: Maybe I'm the bad thing around the corner. [00:46:53] Speaker B: I hope not. Crazy. [00:46:55] Speaker A: That's a little worse. [00:46:57] Speaker D: Guys, I'm sorry if I just ruined everything. [00:47:00] Speaker C: No, no, no. [00:47:01] Speaker B: Why are you sorry? [00:47:04] Speaker C: I'll tell you what, Lando. I just. Whatever happens here, it has to be big, because that scares me. In a not so rote or cliche way, this is like the tree of life, so, like, touching the staff to it has to be big. So I like. You know what we're gonna do? [00:47:29] Speaker D: What are we gonna do, Zach? [00:47:31] Speaker C: First of all, don't worry. You're not gonna infect the tree and destroy all living things. It is too old, primordial, and powerful. [00:47:38] Speaker D: Everything I thought. I did not think I had the capabilities to do anything to this tree. I was more worried of it, like, disintegrating the staff in my hands. Or something like that. [00:47:48] Speaker C: So what we're gonna do, because I basically have two ways this can go. In my hand, in my head, what we're gonna do is we're gonna do odds or evens. [00:47:57] Speaker D: No, we're not. [00:47:58] Speaker C: Exactly. [00:47:58] Speaker D: Are you kidding me? [00:47:59] Speaker B: Terrifying. [00:48:00] Speaker D: 50 50. [00:48:01] Speaker B: We don't know what the. What he was doing, though. [00:48:04] Speaker C: I mean, I'll tell you what. Do you. Landon, do you want to do odds or evens, or would you like me to just choose? I will let you choose which option you want. Cause I have. I have the first thing that popped into my head of what this would do based on what I know about both. But I'm also down to odds or evens it. I don't know. [00:48:34] Speaker D: I can odds or evens it. [00:48:37] Speaker C: Good choice. Okay, um, so. [00:48:44] Speaker D: Applause odds are even odds cuz I'm an odd guy. [00:48:53] Speaker B: What is it? What is it? What is it? [00:48:57] Speaker C: It's a nat one to that one. [00:49:00] Speaker B: Odds, baby. [00:49:01] Speaker C: One on my yellow maker. Simple dice. [00:49:05] Speaker D: That's as good as an odds as you can get if you think about it that way. [00:49:09] Speaker C: Wow. [00:49:11] Speaker D: Chaos coming in. Clutch, my friends. [00:49:13] Speaker C: Yeah. Cause the staff was gonna disintegrate in your hand. [00:49:17] Speaker B: Holy crap. I almost just said a bad word. [00:49:22] Speaker D: But I said crap sucked. That would make Yelich and auth furious at me, I bet. [00:49:30] Speaker C: Okay, boss. So you lift up your staff, and you push it toward the tree. And you all, like ro and Craig, start to notice this out of your peripheries. And Tello and Greta haven't come to yet. And you start noticing, like, boz walking toward the tree. And you look over, and he's just pushing his staff toward this tree in the sanctuary of the temple of the tomb of time in the westwood. And as he starts pushing his taft toward it, boz, you watch as the many tendrils, like, sort of smooth, tan brown crape myrtle, like roots of the crook of the mad prince, reach out, and they reach toward the tree. And then you watch as they, like, divide and divide and divide into rootlets and fibers as they reach outward. You watch them all like it looks like putting hair to a fire. Like, you know how when you put a strand of hair to a fire, it just, like, very rapidly, like, curls and twists and reduces so all of the roots reach outward and then, like. Like, fold back in on themselves. And, like, it's not like they're folding or destroying. It's like they're subdividing and they just, like each of each of the tendrils, like, splinter a thousand times and in moments, the staff is like ribbon backward, just like, like spooling and coming apart and wild, twisting like fragments nodding and it's coming rapidly back up the staff, just like, like knotting and dividing and coming apart. [00:50:58] Speaker D: Oh, then I pull it back. [00:51:00] Speaker C: Okay. As you pull the staff backward, it continues to like ribbon and pull, but it's not falling apart, it's like knotting up into a tenderless mass of like roots and fibers that's now crawling back up itself. And I'd like you to give me a dexterity saving throw. [00:51:26] Speaker B: How far away is Boz from us? [00:51:28] Speaker C: 30Ft. And I'll tell you what, for the rest of all of the distance questions in the temple, unless it's how far away is the ceiling? 30ft is the answer. [00:51:36] Speaker B: How far away is the ceiling? [00:51:39] Speaker D: I got a 14. [00:51:44] Speaker C: See? You all watch as Baz wakes up from seeing the creation of the world, walks across the room, picks up his. [00:51:52] Speaker B: Little bit of a chat. [00:51:53] Speaker C: Okay, okay, there was a chat. Picks up his staff, reaches it out toward this sacred in some way tree. Then you all watch the crook of the mad prince reach out its bizarre favorites as you've seen it do so many times. And then you watch it get close to, I mean, you know, so close to the trunk that you can't tell whether or not it touches it. And then it just in an instant, like hair to fire, just like, like spools and spreads back over itself. And as Baaz like pulls his hand back and recoils, the staff, you watch as the staff splinters upward and then congeals over Baaz's hand and up his arm and up his shoulder just suddenly like splintering upward up his arm. And Baz, you feel there are two powerful sensations. One is of the bizarre sight of like, as you look at the staff, the staff is coming apart. And I do not mean coming apart as in like splintering or breaking, I mean every, like the staff is turning into fibers and you watch the fibers split like it looks like the staff is turning into like a dark brown wool. It is dividing, it's such a fine. And again, what Boz doesn't understand, like, and only Landon the player knows, is that like the staff, like the bark is being reduced down to strips and the strips are being reduced down to fibers and the fibrils are being just reduced down to fibril and the lignin is being split apart into proteins and the proteins are being split apart into like chains of atoms, like the staff itself is being unmade, but while still existing as, as a corporeal object. So, like, it's being reduced down to its fundamental, even magical components as, like, lines and waves of pure strands of arcana, but it still exists. And as it spoils backward, it wraps around your arm. So, one, you watch that happen in a way that doesn't even really make sense. And then immediately after, you feel an incredibly intense stinging as the spoiling fibers wrap into your skin and the entire mass of the staff begins being absorbed by your right arm. So you all watch as the staff disintegrates. Isn't the right word. Unspoils from existing and then begins grafting into the nearest biological object. And, Boz, I just want you to. How about you? Bizarre response, Micah. Landon, I want you to roll. Yeah, roll a d 100 for me. [00:54:37] Speaker D: 64. [00:54:40] Speaker C: Okay, Boz, you take 64 points of piercing damage as the billions of fibers of the staff graft themselves into your skin and start connecting with your flesh. And you all are watching as the staff. The staff of the mad prince is becoming this sort of incomprehensible spool of fibrous organic material and then sinking into Boz's arm, who I assume is flailing and shouting, holy crap. [00:55:10] Speaker B: That's, like, a lot of hit points. I I'm gonna. I'm. I think Ro would rush over to bond. [00:55:22] Speaker C: What is. Landon, what are you. What are you doing? Did you just smack a fly with your dice tray? [00:55:30] Speaker D: No, there was another stink bug. I just had to get Landon's whacking. [00:55:35] Speaker C: Stink bugs in the. Smacked it out of the air with his dice. [00:55:38] Speaker D: No, no, I got it onto my dice train, flicked it into the closet. So maybe it'll come out sometime. Maybe it'll just die in there. [00:55:44] Speaker C: Really highly skilled. [00:55:46] Speaker D: Yeah, no, boss is flailing and screaming at the top of his lungs. [00:55:49] Speaker C: Yeah, he's me. Okay. Yeah, boss, could you give me a constitution saving throw? [00:55:55] Speaker D: Yeah. This is the concept. This is the save I'm bad at. I got an eleven. [00:56:05] Speaker C: Okay, and then could you follow that up with another constitution saving throw? [00:56:09] Speaker D: Oh, wait. Yeah. [00:56:12] Speaker C: Man, was this ever in 10,000 years? Not how I thought the session. [00:56:15] Speaker D: That's a three. That's a three. [00:56:18] Speaker C: Okay. [00:56:19] Speaker B: Don't you have inspiration? [00:56:21] Speaker D: Not using it on this. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Ro, as you sprint over, you watch the mass, like, begin, and it's like. It's the. The. The fibers of the. Of the crook of the mad prince are being reduced so fundamentally that they are slipping in between the threads of Baz's clothes. And so, like, it's. It's like it's like, passing through his clothes but not tearing them apart. And you watch as Baz's right arm kind of, like, swells, and then his shoulder and then his torso as he rides on the ground and he's screaming. And you watch as that baseball size emerald sinks, like, you watch as it basically, like, dissolve into kind of tiny little crystalline molts and reflections of light and then also passes beneath his clothes. And then you watch his boss, like, like, twists and writhes and shouts, and then all of a sudden, he just stops and lays still. [00:57:11] Speaker B: I I was about to say I check for a pulse, but we don't really do that in d and d, do we. [00:57:21] Speaker C: Know? A pulse. A pulse, breathing. These are very old medical practices that I was, like, wait, invented with raise anatomy, and you grew up in a cathedral, so you sprint over. [00:57:33] Speaker B: Yeah, I check for, like, a. I check for, like, breathing. Like, I grab them. [00:57:37] Speaker C: Go ahead and give me a medicine check, ro. [00:57:39] Speaker A: Okay. [00:57:42] Speaker C: Where'S my dice? [00:57:44] Speaker B: Oh, there it is. That's good. Sound, bad roll. It's a seven. [00:57:56] Speaker C: Hank. Well, it was dc five. You can't find a pulse, but you do notice his chest is moving up and down, so it appears he is breathing. [00:58:08] Speaker B: I'm yelling his name. I'm saying balls. Balls. [00:58:12] Speaker C: You are just shaking an unconscious balls. Who's, who's, like, he's resting face up in the water now. And also tell him tello and greta are still unconscious. And as you look at him, you, like, kind of look at him for a second, and as you look at him closer, something really bizarre is happening, because as you look close at him, his skin is shifting all over his body. Like, as you study it for a second, his skin is shifting. Like, it's, like, at a tiny level. [00:58:44] Speaker B: It'S, like, moving underneath it, or, like. [00:58:47] Speaker C: It'S through it, through it, as if his skin were a solid or were a liquid and something were snaking its way through, but many hundreds of thousands or millions of something. [00:58:58] Speaker B: Does he look like. Okay, so he's taken, like, he's over. He's bosses unconscious. [00:59:05] Speaker C: Boss unconscious. You can see no physical signs of damage. And, I mean, you can, you're. You can have a heart attack. Yeah, you can take a thousand points of psychic damage and nothing changes on the outside. [00:59:17] Speaker B: Okay, fine. [00:59:19] Speaker C: And the damage is literally microscopic. It's actually nanoscopic. The damage, that was 64 points of piercing at a cellular level. But Boz is just kind of unconscious and looking up, and his skin is shifting, and he's in the water. Craig, you are also there. And your minister is in your hands because you were showing it off. [00:59:40] Speaker A: I put it back. I run to where. [00:59:47] Speaker B: I yell out, Tello and Greta to see if they, like, are gonna wake up, you know? [00:59:52] Speaker C: And Tello hasn't woken up yet. And Greta hasn't woken up yet. [00:59:59] Speaker A: Well, can you, like, Craig? [01:00:02] Speaker B: He'll, can you, Craig, can you carry him? Like, let's carry him away from the tree. Like I, obviously something was something with the staff in the tree. Let's, let's move him back. [01:00:14] Speaker C: Uh, Craig, you start, you start getting your hands under boss, and you start lifting him. And then, Boz, you sort of, and you, like, I, in all the ways that I've made the sound of you suddenly waking up before it is a start. It feels like being electrocuted awake. And as you wake up, the sensation I described to you is that your skin feels, it does not feel like pain, but there is such an alien sensation going on across every inch of your body that it feels horrible, but only in the way that your body has no idea how to register this tactile sensation. You feel bizarre. And your chest hurts. Like, your chest aches. Like, you feel like your sternum's been split. And you're just sort of like. And you are awake in Craig's arms as you're being lifted up. [01:00:57] Speaker B: Boz? Boz, are you. What? What happened? Are you okay? [01:01:03] Speaker D: I think I made a really bad choice. [01:01:06] Speaker B: Are you in, are you in pain? What's happening? What are your staff? [01:01:10] Speaker D: No, but I feel awful. Oh, my goodness. [01:01:14] Speaker C: And as you all study. Boss, a little closer. Ro. Oh. All of his skin swirls really quickly. It's like all of the pattern and skin on his body just really quickly, sort of like, like, sort of like, like it was squeezed like paint through a bottle, and then it suddenly recongeals, and, boz, you, like, twist really hard. Then you take a breath, and every last inch of Baz's body now looks like the bark of an ash tree, but the texture of a crepe myrtle. And it's a slightly tanner color. And every one of those sort of like, dark grayish, like sort of slit marks, like the bark of an ash are now, or, excuse me, of an aspen, are. Have very small, very, very minute, like, kind of like crystalline green, like, sort of dots on them, as if stars in a night sky. [01:02:12] Speaker D: So I sparkle like Edward from twilight. [01:02:18] Speaker C: Much less intensely in much smaller doses, in specific areas of your body. [01:02:22] Speaker D: Yes, like golden hour. Looks nice on boz now. [01:02:26] Speaker A: Cause you're my golden. Eh. [01:02:29] Speaker C: His hair is no longer red. What? It's all, like a deep, verdant, foresty greenhouse and all of the. And, like, the tips of the leaves growing out of his hair now have, like, kind of like a crystalline, fibrous, reflective edge to them. [01:02:47] Speaker D: What new, new race just dropped. [01:02:53] Speaker C: You're having trouble breathing and your chest aches. And as you're in there in the water again at a level no one can see. Buzz, your. Your chest hurts so much and you feel shocked and confused, but your hit points are back to 100 or back to not 100. Your hit points are. Your hit points are back. Micah said, not if I get 101st. Your hip points are all the way back to full because it's. You can feel the cool of the water. You feel like as long as you're touching this water, you, like, can't die or, like, it's like. It's like healing you as you're resting in it. [01:03:42] Speaker D: I. Immortality. [01:03:44] Speaker C: Give me my pack. Give me my pack. I need my pack. [01:03:47] Speaker D: And I'm, like, motioning towards it, and I'm, like, fumbling through it in, like, panic, and I grab the tankard full of the saloon temple water, and I'm just, like, desperate. I'm just, like. I'm just drinking it and chugging it as well. [01:03:57] Speaker C: Like, please help it and drink it over. You realize it's like the same. It's like, it's the same water. [01:04:08] Speaker D: Oh. [01:04:10] Speaker C: And you feel like. You feel yourself fully recovering, except your chest still hurts like crazy. [01:04:14] Speaker D: I drink half of it. I leave half of it still. Okay. [01:04:19] Speaker C: Resealous. [01:04:20] Speaker D: Okay. Um. [01:04:22] Speaker C: Just when I think I have a session named right, I got so close. [01:04:29] Speaker D: I don't know that my hair is a different color, that I look different. I'm just, like, standing there like, robs. [01:04:36] Speaker B: Rose sees it and ro grabs her mirror out of her bag and puts. [01:04:39] Speaker A: It in front of you. [01:04:44] Speaker C: Also body. As you look at it in your eyes, there are little veins of, like, emerald. [01:04:53] Speaker D: Guys, I think I am the staff of the mad prince now. [01:04:56] Speaker B: Oh, wait, is there any staff left? [01:04:59] Speaker D: No. [01:05:00] Speaker C: You don't see any? [01:05:00] Speaker B: Just all absorbed into. [01:05:02] Speaker A: Wait, walk around. Do you have roots coming out of your feet? [01:05:06] Speaker D: I'm gonna put my foot up to the tree. I'm joking. That would be the stupidest thing in the world. [01:05:12] Speaker C: Your gem is never going to do this again. Please don't do that. You will just die. We can. [01:05:19] Speaker D: Mighty morphin Power Rangers, everybody. Come on. [01:05:21] Speaker A: Let's all combine. I like to think that Craig holds up his finger like, craig, don't you freaking dare, Craig. [01:05:33] Speaker D: Like, reaching out with star Splinter. [01:05:34] Speaker C: Like, I could beat my own blade. He just turns into Craig. Scissor hands. [01:05:42] Speaker D: I know boss may not be aware of any changes, but is there anything that player Landon can know of how this will affect me and I. Landon. [01:05:50] Speaker C: I'd like you to erase the crook of the Mad prince from your inventory. Oh, my gosh. [01:05:54] Speaker D: I'm gonna do it. Sadly, on episode 100. Oh, my gosh. [01:06:00] Speaker B: What episode did you get the crook of the Mad Prince? [01:06:05] Speaker C: Eleven, I think. [01:06:06] Speaker B: Yeah, it was like. I think. I mean, it was before roe or nine and roll 19, so. [01:06:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:06:16] Speaker C: Okay. [01:06:16] Speaker D: What I'm taking away from this is there's one less magic item that I have to be attuned to now that. [01:06:21] Speaker C: Wow, what a takeaway. However, Landon, goodness, we do have to just suddenly manage some. Some things so you don't have the crook of the mad prince anymore. However, Boz, you still feel that intense pain on your sternum. [01:06:40] Speaker B: Iron man. [01:06:41] Speaker C: And you feel physically different in his chest. [01:06:46] Speaker D: I lift up my shirt, and I'm. [01:06:47] Speaker C: Like, look at Boz. You unbuckle some of your armor. As boss unbuttons his cloak across his chest. [01:06:54] Speaker B: Not in a weird way in the. [01:06:57] Speaker D: Sponsor, like, in 13% body fat. So he doesn't have abs, but they're like. You can see them a little bit. He's like. He's, like, the center and nice looking. You know, he's lean. [01:07:07] Speaker C: He's lean. He's not Jack, but he's leaning. Okay, I'm going to describe this now. Running down the middle of Boz's chest is a vein of emerald that starts at the edges of his collarbone and then congeals into this long, riverous vein in the middle, and then it spreads out in, like, river veins across his chest and kind of dissipates into his shoulders and down his abdomen. And there's, like. Now his chest. His chest looks straight up like Edward, where it's like. It's like gemstone dust, but, like, in his skin of emerald all across his chest. And so, bozeme, the crook of the mad prince, no longer exists. You have destroyed it. However, the magical emerald at its center has been absorbed by you. So these are the following results. You no longer need an army. Let me get my notes open. [01:08:08] Speaker D: Let me get my notes. Let me get my notes open, because. [01:08:10] Speaker C: This is going to be crazy. [01:08:12] Speaker D: Okay. Oh, my gosh, Zachary. I feel bad. I took away Hugh did staff. I destroyed it. [01:08:18] Speaker C: No. [01:08:20] Speaker D: I'm never gonna be able to pass it on to a druid, underling, or apprentice? [01:08:24] Speaker B: Well, when you died, you could. [01:08:28] Speaker C: Be really valuable. [01:08:31] Speaker D: All right, all right, all right, all right. Tell me. I'm gonna mute myself so that I can type while you talk. [01:08:36] Speaker C: Yeah. So, Bob, you no longer need a casting focus because you are your own casting focus now. So your casting focus is your body is your focus now. Because your body is infused with magical crystals, you are now. You will permanently show up as, like, when people cast, detect magic, the magics of the staff will reflect off of you. So anything that detects magic, you're gonna now be like a flare to it. Can you. Okay the. Okay, I'm just gonna make choices on all this right now. I'm gonna make it off the cuff like this. [01:09:24] Speaker D: You feel free. And if we need to refine later or something, we can talk through it later. [01:09:28] Speaker C: No, no, no. I'm confident in this. So here's what we're gonna do. Landon, if you could remain muted to type. Jackie, can you open? Is the crook of the mad prince in your channel? Landon, in boss's channel. [01:09:40] Speaker B: Let me see. [01:09:41] Speaker D: Maybe. I think it's the one thing that's not. I think you emailed it to me a long time ago. [01:09:48] Speaker C: Okay, is there any way you could post it since I don't have access? [01:09:52] Speaker D: You didn't email it to me. You handed me a physical copy in person, but I never got a copy of it digitally. [01:09:56] Speaker C: Do you have the physical copy with you? [01:09:58] Speaker D: No, I don't. I don't know where it is in the past. I just moved. [01:10:00] Speaker C: Okay, so here's what's gonna happen. Here's what's gonna happen. We're gonna run this all off of Zack. We're gonna decide all of this off of what's on the top of Zach's head. Okay, this is what I remember. Do you remember the healing benefit the crook of the mad prince gave you? [01:10:16] Speaker D: I. [01:10:18] Speaker C: Can we. [01:10:18] Speaker D: Can we take a moment to try and see? Can we. Instead of putting, like, numbers to things, can we just, like, instead of saying, oh, the crook of the mad prince did this, and say, well, whatever the number the crook of the mad prince did, it's that change or whatever. You know what I mean? Like, since we know the sheet somewhere, we can reference those numbers. [01:10:37] Speaker C: Actually, no, I. No, I'm just. I'm going to give you. No, because the crooked. The crook is gone. So, actually, I need to make up new stuff. Okay, so, Boz, some fraction of the crook's ability to heal gets absorbed in you. And so, from now on, when you cast any healing spell, no matter what you're using, because you're casting it through yourself and through that magical gem, you get to add your wisdom modifier on to the healing you deal every time you heal. That's just a permanent, that's a permanent, permanent gift you have. And we'll call these boons of the mad prince, because crook is gone. These are all the powers granted. The spells were stored in the staff, so the spells are gone. However, you now gain some physical. Okay, so basically, Boz, you can make roots come out of your fingers. You can make the roots of the tendrils of the, of the staff come out of your features, out of your fingers, so out of your, like, digits, your toes. If you wanted to be weird about it, that's gonna come with some abilities. So you now have advantage on athletic checks involving grappling, two grapple things, because you can make the roots connect with that. You also now your melee, your unarmed melee attacks, just like your hand. Now deal two d four, plus dex piercing or bludgeoning damage, as you can reach out and pierce things with the fibers or, like, kind of make them into, like, longer, thicker roots and, like, strike people with them. Your ac increases by one, because your skin is part of the fibers of a crape myrtle branch or some similar plant structure. And, um, you gain the ability as an action to reach out with the fibers. And you can grab things. You can reach out, and you can grab onto any inanimate object or any creature of your size class and smaller. And then that creature needs to make athletics check or be held in Orlando. Like, not be held, but be grappled by you, right? Like, basically, you can grapple a creature from 15ft away, and then you can make dexterity saving throws when you're falling to have the fibers reach out and grab things. And then, like, if you succeed that saving throw, you can, like, hang from things. So it's like, kind of spiral. Oh, also, anything. What's your wisdom modifier? Plus five. Okay. Anything that wants to shove or push you. Anything that wants to shove or push you. And, like, you know, like an explosion of a certain force doesn't have to do it, but, like, any creature or low enough force, I guess. I don't know if it's an inanimate object. We'll come to that. We'll cross that bridge when you come up, any creature that wants to push you over, move you has to beat a DC 15 check of some kind, like a strength check or something, whatever the appropriate check is to move you because you can plant yourself on the ground with the roots. So these. These are the boons of the mad prince that are now permanently a part of you. [01:14:34] Speaker D: Okay, question. Um. [01:14:36] Speaker C: And also one in tune. [01:14:38] Speaker D: Sorry. [01:14:39] Speaker C: One attunement slot is filled forever. [01:14:41] Speaker D: Okay. [01:14:41] Speaker C: As you're attuned to your body, go to Bell Andre, and be like, hey, remove this, please. [01:14:51] Speaker D: Never. [01:14:52] Speaker C: I'd like a. I'd like a 30 hours surgery. [01:14:56] Speaker D: I think I would die if I tried to do that. I'm not going to try it. But also, this is great. But I have one question. I have one question. One of the features of the staff was that at some level I have to double check. It gives a resistance to psychic damage. Is that gone forever? Cause this is plenty of stuff. Like, this is incredible. [01:15:14] Speaker C: No, no, no. There was an effect of that. Here's what I'm gonna say. Once prolonged rest, you can reduce any one source of psychic damage by a D 20 as a reaction. And then once prolonged rest, you can use an action to force a creature to make an intelligent saving throw against your spell. Save DC. And if they fail, they take a D 20 of psychic damage. And that's an action. So the. Okay, now, that's it. That's every. Those. All. Those are all the boons of the mad prince. Also, um, Boz glows with 5ft of dim light from now with dull green light. [01:16:04] Speaker A: No, that's gonna be convenient sometimes. [01:16:11] Speaker C: Uh, we can't hear you, Jackie. [01:16:14] Speaker B: I said, yeah. What if we need to get some sleep? [01:16:18] Speaker C: I'm sleeping. [01:16:20] Speaker B: I'm sleeping. Yeah. [01:16:25] Speaker C: Man, you guys are experts in curveballs. [01:16:29] Speaker D: Okay, so just. Zach. Okay, so when I. If I can. Said I can make a creature do a save, is it a wisdom? Save? [01:16:40] Speaker C: Intelligence. Saving throw. [01:16:41] Speaker D: Intelligence based on my psychic damage spell. [01:16:45] Speaker C: Save DC. [01:16:47] Speaker D: Save or take one. D twenty. [01:16:51] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. [01:16:52] Speaker D: Is it halved on a fail or is it none? No, on a fail. [01:16:56] Speaker C: None. We'll say it's none. On a success. It's a saver suck. We'll say. [01:17:02] Speaker D: I like that. Wow. That is incredible. I'm glad I didn't die. [01:17:07] Speaker C: Yeah, if you had. So, the first saving throw was to accept or reject the components of the staff as they went into you. If you had failed that one, it was DC ten. You succeeded by one. If you had failed that one, the staff would have just fallen apart as it passed through you, and we would have rolled damage for it all over again. And then the second one was to remain conscious. And if the odds or evens had not gone in your favor, the staff would have just spooled apart. [01:17:40] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. Zachary. [01:17:43] Speaker C: Yeah. That tree is one of the single most magical things in existence. [01:17:49] Speaker D: Boons of the mad prince. So Boz is like a. He's like a fae. Asimar is how I'm picturing him now. [01:18:07] Speaker C: A little. Now, it's not like an intense brilliant, like, it's a very dim glow. And the. The, like, the gem sparkle is only in the, like, kind of little aspen lines all over him. So that's very dull. But his chest is my disruption. [01:18:22] Speaker D: Still moving slightly. [01:18:24] Speaker C: No, no, no, no. It's all. Everything's cohesive now. [01:18:27] Speaker D: Okay? [01:18:29] Speaker B: Falls with your glowing skin and my glowing hair when we walk out into the sun. This is a little worse. [01:18:38] Speaker A: Dang, what's skincare, though? [01:18:43] Speaker C: A lot of us are. You have just watched. You have just watched the crook of the mad prince come apart and then infuse into your skin. And you feel. [01:18:53] Speaker D: What do. I saw? Pain in my chest. [01:18:57] Speaker C: Yeah, it still hurts. But you know why now? Because it's full of crystal, man. [01:19:03] Speaker D: This rocks, rocks, rocks. I. This my trauma response. Have to do a joke or else I'll start crying. Um, I. I feel. [01:19:19] Speaker C: Different. [01:19:20] Speaker D: Um, I. I think the staff is me. I think I am the staff. [01:19:26] Speaker B: Mean, you are the mad prince. [01:19:28] Speaker D: Nope, I'm not mad prince. That is. That is a different role. [01:19:31] Speaker C: Initiative. [01:19:32] Speaker D: No, no. I think I'm gonna miss my red hair. That was my dad. Okay, somebody, whoever was the tree, that was who it was. I remember who it was. And I know that. [01:19:48] Speaker B: What? [01:19:53] Speaker A: I don't know. I think greens. More hair color. [01:19:57] Speaker D: I sparkle. Craig. [01:19:59] Speaker A: Craig, say you do. [01:20:00] Speaker C: Taking both recently having. Having witnessed the creation of the world very calmly, and also having watched the most powerful magic item in your group disintegrate and absorbed into your flesh. Also very calm. Craig's got a real chill thing. [01:20:14] Speaker A: Craig. Craig is. [01:20:16] Speaker D: I also feel like. [01:20:18] Speaker A: Never mind. [01:20:21] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I was just joking, Mike. I wasn't trying to. [01:20:24] Speaker A: No, it's okay. [01:20:26] Speaker D: My feet's completely useless. [01:20:28] Speaker C: I hope that wasn't judgmental, huh? [01:20:33] Speaker A: Your feet are not completely useless. You can use roots. You can grapple with your feet. [01:20:38] Speaker C: Next time you level up, Oz, I will let you change out that feet. [01:20:41] Speaker D: You are a gracious and kind DM. Thank you. [01:20:44] Speaker B: Wait, why is he polar master? [01:20:46] Speaker D: Because I had polearm master. I no longer have a polearm. [01:20:50] Speaker B: What is polearm? [01:20:52] Speaker D: It's a feat, polar. [01:20:54] Speaker C: We don't have to do that right now. It's a feat that makes you good with staffs. [01:20:56] Speaker D: Okay. All right, gang. I feel different, and my chest hurts. [01:21:06] Speaker B: Do you need to be healed or something? Are you. [01:21:09] Speaker D: No, I think I'm back up to normal. It hurt very badly. It. I get some of the worst pain I've ever felt. Mine, it felt like I was splitting apart and then coming back together and splitting apart again on all over me. [01:21:26] Speaker B: You know how. You know how you, like, told me one. You know, you told me that we're, like, half triads, and so we're, like, kind of, like, part three. Are you, like, I double treated more than half dryade now. Are you, like, 75% half drop three quarter dryad now? [01:21:47] Speaker D: Maybe. Maybe I'm three quarter dryad. What if it, like, what if I, like, broke through my ceiling? What if instead of being, like, 50% dryad, 50% whatever. My dad was elf. Half elf. My dad was a dryad. [01:22:03] Speaker C: Your mom's the elf. [01:22:04] Speaker D: I thought my dad washing. [01:22:06] Speaker C: Ah, shoot. I don't know. I'll figure it out. [01:22:08] Speaker D: I can't remember. I have to look at my lower dog. But what if it's, like, 125%? Like, what if I'm, like, 75% dryad, 50% elf man? [01:22:20] Speaker B: I don't know. [01:22:25] Speaker A: You're still 100% boss. [01:22:27] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm glad I didn't destroy one of the most ancient relics known to the world. [01:22:32] Speaker B: And I hope that you did, though, because, like, how old was that? [01:22:37] Speaker D: Okay, I'm looking for consolation for magic trick, boss. [01:22:42] Speaker A: Where did you put the staff? [01:22:45] Speaker D: The wood is. Was in my skin. Like, it, like, was your skin was. [01:22:51] Speaker B: Like a million splinters all over you. [01:22:53] Speaker C: Importantly, Ro and Craig watched this happen moments ago. I watched it come apart and go into you. [01:23:07] Speaker D: Now. Can have an ac of 20. [01:23:10] Speaker B: I think Ro is gonna like. Because are they still kind of, like, wet? [01:23:16] Speaker C: Yeah, the room's still full of water. [01:23:17] Speaker B: I think Rob's drink it. I think she's gonna like. [01:23:25] Speaker D: I refill my thing with the saloon water. With that water, I can tank. [01:23:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Boz, you can put down for your notes that that tankard is effectively three uses of a potion of greater healing. So you basically have three uses of healing to have someone, like, be fed that or drink that in combat. [01:23:51] Speaker D: Is that a boo? Is you drink to drink it. [01:23:55] Speaker C: I don't remember what we ruled, but it's in the Homebrew channel. [01:23:57] Speaker D: All right, all right, all right. [01:23:59] Speaker C: Jackie or Ro? It tastes incredible. Just the freshest, clearest, coolest, most perfect water, like, evian. And it feels like drinking it is an incredible physical experience. But there is an emotional component. It, like, it like, clears your mind and touches your heart. And as it does, a lot of the sort of like, visions of what you witnessed in your vision, whatever that was, come back to you. And you, like, the nature of it sort of washes over you again and you feel increasing, like the sort of confusion of it. The miasma lifts a little bit and you just, it becomes clear that like, yeah, you watched, you realize that you played some portion of the old song, and the playing it imparted upon you vision and of all your allies and vision of hearing it imparted you playing it and the others hearing it imparted upon everyone visions of ya'll, everyone being made. [01:25:07] Speaker B: Artillo and Greta still passed out. [01:25:11] Speaker C: Yeah, I was wondering, Tello is starting to blink awake. [01:25:14] Speaker B: I'm gonna go over to them and just kind of make sure they're chill. [01:25:17] Speaker C: Greta is slowly, yeah. They slowly come to and then you take a second to explain to them, hey, yeah, we watched the world get created. The crook of the mad prince has been destroyed, and it lives in Boz now. [01:25:29] Speaker B: Did they see it too? They saw it as well, right? [01:25:31] Speaker C: No, no, they were unconscious. [01:25:32] Speaker B: No, not they saw. [01:25:36] Speaker C: Yes. [01:25:36] Speaker A: Yeah, the vision. [01:25:37] Speaker B: Okay, just so I know for, and. [01:25:40] Speaker C: What we'll say is that, like, again, this is a d, there's maybe no player who would have a stronger reaction to this than Abby. So it's a wild shame, but what we're just gonna say is that Greta is just speechless for the next, like, hour or two. And she's, she is absorbed into her journal, not taking manic notes, just like, yeah. Like a natural passionate pouring forth of what her eyes witnessed onto the pages in front of her. And then Tello is just, Tello is just genuinely speechless, staring at the tree. And usually I say that so that Tello doesn't need to say anything, but Tello is genuinely speechless and he just, he's stunned also. I'm listening to you all. Please continue going. I'm going to try and retrieve something. It is related to the Emma, you. [01:26:33] Speaker A: Know, not to be like that kind of guy, but I mean, we just witnessed the world be made. Um, who made it? Because it seems like everybody's got a different, like the maker we just saw the maker make. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:26:55] Speaker B: It's like in his name. The maker. [01:26:57] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:26:59] Speaker C: So why take one single point of fire damage? [01:27:04] Speaker B: I feel like I just sounded like Harry style. That's what I said, that they go, like about the movie is it feels like a movie. Sorry. Like a go. [01:27:17] Speaker A: I guess, like, ro. You follow Selun, right? [01:27:25] Speaker B: Yeah, but like, I've also learned to recognize that the maker is like God of gods. What. What is your. What is those hand movements, Craig? [01:27:39] Speaker A: Why not go to the source? I don't know, man. Maybe I'm just simple minded. [01:27:45] Speaker B: Well, it's like, it's different, right? Because I'm not. I'm not like a cleric. My magic doesn't come from saloon. But like, I mean, obviously there are multiple gods. It's just who you. Who you tend to follow. But I mean, if he's the maker, then obviously he's. For lack of a better word. Yeah, I mean. [01:28:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:28:15] Speaker B: It's my understanding that the maker is the maker of all. The maker of all the gods. The makeover of our world. [01:28:25] Speaker A: Where is he? [01:28:28] Speaker B: I don't. I don't think it's for to know all the time. [01:28:36] Speaker A: Huh. I've got a lot to think about. Thanks for coming to my TEd talk. I mean, what? I don't know what that is. [01:28:49] Speaker B: Oh, boy. [01:28:52] Speaker A: I'm gonna see what this little thing was from. [01:28:57] Speaker C: I don't mean this like, sarcastically. I'm not even complaining. I come into these sessions with so many plans and I love what you guys come up with instead. I mean, really, that's not, that's not me complaining. It's just. It's beautiful. I touched the staff to the tree. [01:29:14] Speaker A: Why do you believe that when there's this. [01:29:17] Speaker D: I coach staff the tree. [01:29:19] Speaker A: Wait, why believe it? [01:29:20] Speaker C: Little God? [01:29:20] Speaker A: When did bigger goddess. [01:29:33] Speaker D: And me think. [01:29:34] Speaker C: Why use hill cop and pig dot to trick? Oh, my goodness. Micah, obviously. Inspiration. [01:29:40] Speaker B: Wow. [01:29:45] Speaker C: Dude, how do you do it? Like, what's your secret? How does it work? [01:29:49] Speaker A: I genuinely am asking these questions. [01:29:53] Speaker D: Zach, I have a question. It comes have a climbing speed now. [01:29:59] Speaker C: Yes, I got a plane. And I swear, no more after this. Okay, this is the last thing. Yes. You have a climbing speed of 10ft. [01:30:09] Speaker B: How is Boz, spider man, iron man and Edward? All of these saved die. [01:30:17] Speaker D: Amount of pencil climbing speed of 15ft. [01:30:22] Speaker B: You said he said 1010. [01:30:30] Speaker D: And I assume that's limited to common sense surfaces. Like, I can't scale up like a flat concrete wall. [01:30:37] Speaker C: You could scale up like a flat concrete wall. [01:30:39] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh, that could. [01:30:42] Speaker C: Be. Look, man, you're the one who decided to stick one of the most powerful magic items, a living magic item in existence, to the tree of all life. [01:30:50] Speaker D: I feel bad. [01:30:50] Speaker C: And then grafted himself with it. Like that's how it's gonna go. [01:30:56] Speaker D: I feel bad. I hope the Alex isn't mad at me? [01:31:02] Speaker C: We'll find out. [01:31:06] Speaker B: Does my. I have a little question for clarification. That sounded so sorry. Oh, I like that. The little leaf pouch that I have, that was like, rose dads or whatever it says pouch on it. Is it like a pouch that you could put something in? [01:31:29] Speaker C: No. [01:31:30] Speaker B: Okay. I didn't think. [01:31:30] Speaker C: No, it's like a swath of fabric. [01:31:33] Speaker B: Okay, that's what I thought. [01:31:36] Speaker C: No, this isn't what I'm feeling right now. Um, let's go with this one. Yeah, there we go. Um. Or no, maybe this one. No. Yeah, we're gonna go with this one. [01:31:56] Speaker D: Okay. [01:31:57] Speaker C: Anywho, sorry. Oh, that's too small. Okay, I've got a bunch of new songs, so you all are in the bottom of the temple. What are. I don't know. The session I was planning begins now. So what are the fun guys doing? [01:32:21] Speaker D: There was one thing Boz wanted to do in the temple before he leave, but I feel like so much of this has already been centered around him. So, like, I just wanted to put that card on the table again. [01:32:29] Speaker C: This isn't a bad thing. You were unconscious for a lot of the last playthrough. I feel like it's okay for you to be like, hey, I'd like to do some things in the temple. This is one of the most significant locations you'll ever visit. It's okay if there's some hard points you want to hit. [01:32:44] Speaker D: I want to try to open up the locked cage in the vault. [01:32:50] Speaker C: Okay. [01:32:50] Speaker B: Oh, we going back? [01:32:54] Speaker C: Is everybody done in the sanctuary? [01:32:59] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. Wait. [01:33:00] Speaker C: Don't all have to be together, you know, some of your options and possibilities. [01:33:04] Speaker A: I'm gonna. [01:33:05] Speaker B: I'm gonna. I'm gonna see boz. You know, he took the water. I'm gonna. I'm gonna empty out my little one flask. I have that. I keep water in and pour it and scoop up the water. [01:33:17] Speaker C: Okay. Hey, please put in your notes one use of a greater healing person. Sorry, what was that? [01:33:23] Speaker A: Craig, I don't have magical abilities, and so I'm gonna hang out by the tree, and I'm gonna try and find a little souvenir to take back with me. [01:33:43] Speaker C: Okay, Craig, what did you see? [01:33:47] Speaker A: Hey, I have a question. Hey, I have a question. So you know that really cool cat that I have? [01:33:52] Speaker C: Yeah, what's up? [01:33:53] Speaker A: Can that jump over the, like, over to the tree? [01:34:00] Speaker C: Okay. Do you summon the cat? [01:34:02] Speaker B: What do you mean? To laugh so loud? [01:34:05] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [01:34:07] Speaker D: Do I hear Craig? Oh, my God. [01:34:09] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [01:34:09] Speaker C: I mean, no, okay, first. Okay, let's establish a couple things. Hold on, hold on. I need to set a scene. [01:34:16] Speaker D: I. [01:34:17] Speaker C: Hold on, hold on. I need to establish. So some time, I'll tell you what I thought, and this is not me complaining. This is not me complaining. This is y'all's campaign. I love whatever happens. [01:34:33] Speaker A: Did I miss something? [01:34:34] Speaker C: Holy tear. Goodness. I need to Dm. [01:34:36] Speaker A: Lee, go ahead, go ahead. Let me Dm. [01:34:39] Speaker C: I thought this session was very much gonna be like, everybody's waking up. Oh, my goodness. Let's talk about this vision. And it's okay that that's not like, I'm not. This isn't me being like, it's fine. I'm just, like, preparing to reorient things. So what I'm gonna say has transpired is that an amount of time has passed for everyone to be like, oh, my goodness. The staff is in you. So that's been talked about, Boz. And then I'm gonna say that Greta is, unless she's necessary for checks somewhere else, and then she'll just sort of magically appear. But otherwise, I'm gonna say sincerely, after Dming for Abby for two years, what I truly think she would have Greta do at this time is I think Greta's gonna remain in the sanctuary just pondering and thinking and sitting in the water and just having a truly mental, emotional spot, spiritual experience. And she's just going to be here focused, thinking, considering, oh, the depths of the tragedy that Abby's not here. And then Tello is going to. I'm going to say that Tello's going to go, like, if somebody leaves, tell is going to go with them, but tell us going to be very quiet and not for the sake of me not speaking for him. He can definitely respond, but genuinely, because he is so truly, deeply touched and stunned. But that being said, he's going to functionally go with anyone who goes to a different chamber. So, Boz, is it at this time that you go up and try, like, are you, like, you're like, wow, insane experience at the sanctuary. Hey. Like, I remember the vault. I really want to go back up there and I want to try and get in that thing. Is that something you're doing? It's okay. The answer could be yes. [01:36:07] Speaker D: I want to do that, but I also want to make sure that Craig has the opportunity to realize that, no, no, no. [01:36:16] Speaker C: Okay. [01:36:17] Speaker D: Okay. [01:36:18] Speaker C: Everything is. Those are player choices. Those are player choices. So, Boz, you head back up to the vault. Tell here something about vault cracking. And he is, I mean, sure, absolutely. [01:36:27] Speaker B: What are you. What do you say, Boz? Like, are you just. I say, going out of the room, or. [01:36:33] Speaker D: Yeah, I say, hey, guys, I want to. I change my mind. I'm gonna try to take a crack at that locked thing in the vault. [01:36:41] Speaker B: Are you gonna use your. Yeah, the key you have. [01:36:46] Speaker D: I only have three tries left on it, and, um, I need one, I think, for the thing I need it for. So I'm gonna go try to use it to open this thing, because, um, as you can tell, stuff here kind of goes hard. Um. [01:37:03] Speaker C: Dang it, Lynn. Fine. Take your dirty inspiration. [01:37:07] Speaker D: Thank you. [01:37:08] Speaker C: You menace. Please continue. [01:37:13] Speaker B: I. Obviously, I'm. I'm very intrigued. What's in that vault? Yeah, as you know, I tried, and I couldn't get it. But whatever you find in there, could you come back and get me if you. If you get it open, or do you think you need me? [01:37:32] Speaker D: No, no, I'm just. I'm just gonna go ring this bell a couple times and see if it opens, and if it doesn't, I'm gonna come straight back, so. [01:37:39] Speaker B: Okay. Please let me know what's in there or come get me if it's something. I just. I kind of want to know. I want to figure out. I mean, I somehow played, you know, some stuff that maybe helped that vision occur or something. And my loot obviously looks different now, and she holds it up to Boz, so I kind of want to see what's. [01:38:04] Speaker C: The cracks of the lute are now filled with thin veins of platinum. And in the gemstone, the amethyst gemstone that was at the center of the symbol that Janice gave her, the symbol of the maker, is now emblazoned onto the front of the loot. [01:38:17] Speaker D: Well, do you want to try to come help? [01:38:21] Speaker B: I do. I just. I want to know if I feel like. I feel like there's. [01:38:28] Speaker C: And I promise I haven't forgotten about you, Micah. [01:38:30] Speaker B: I feel like there's something different about this, so I'm gonna stay here for a little bit. But if. If you need me, obviously, you know, you can. [01:38:39] Speaker D: If I'm gone for longer than 30 minutes, the thing inside the cabinet's probably killed me. So just come get me and take me home. [01:38:44] Speaker A: Okay. [01:38:45] Speaker B: Tello, don't let anything kill him. Although you are, like, half real bark now, so I think you're okay. [01:38:53] Speaker D: I was already half real bark. Now I'm 75% real bark. [01:38:56] Speaker C: I've got buzzes back. We're good. [01:38:58] Speaker D: All right. [01:38:58] Speaker C: I'll keep going. To the trouble. [01:39:00] Speaker B: Yeah. Send to me if you need me. [01:39:03] Speaker D: All right. [01:39:04] Speaker C: And as you and as boss, as you and Teller are walking away, teller just, again, he's been very quiet since you guys got here because he's been, oh, I didn't have that song on repeat of. He's been very quiet since you guys got here because he's, I mean, you know, cuz he's just been very stunned. This is one of those, like, ooh, reshaping my world kind of moments, but he just leans over you and he goes, you know, boss, it's really cool that your chest is shiny, but I never thought you were gonna have to be the guy we had to make sure didn't do something. You guys are walking. [01:39:40] Speaker D: What do you mean by that? [01:39:42] Speaker C: And you guys start up the spiral staircase. [01:39:44] Speaker D: This was a good choice. I think it was a good choice, maybe. [01:39:47] Speaker C: I mean, it's a good look for you. And that conversation fades away down the hall. Ro, what are you doing in the sanctuary? [01:39:53] Speaker D: And I toss like a gold coin into the air that I, like, reach out and grab it with my root hands and bring it back. [01:40:00] Speaker C: Okay, we're gonna get back to this, but tello thinks that's legit playing. [01:40:03] Speaker B: Toss a coin to your witcher on her little. [01:40:05] Speaker C: Toss a coin to your witcher. Ro, what are you doing in the sanctuary? [01:40:11] Speaker B: Well, I know Micah was wanting to do stuff. [01:40:15] Speaker C: I need to understand what everyone else is doing so that I can prepare for what Craig is doing. [01:40:20] Speaker B: I sit, you know, not too close near Greta or Craig. I kind of just sit in maybe one of the puppies. [01:40:29] Speaker C: It's in a men's chamber. [01:40:30] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm like pretty close to the tree, but, you know, let's say 30ft. Okay. And I think she's gonna just keep running her fingers over the new, like, platinum veins in it and the symbol of the maker. And I think she's kind of contemplating. So you told me, refresh my memory. You told me that I could write it down as now. Well, blessed. But Ro doesn't really know what's going on yet, right? Like, she's gotta figure out what this means for the loot, right? So she's just kind of, I think she's contemplating. She's thinking a lot. She's reminiscing on the vision, and the whole time she's doing, you know, her thing where she just kind of keeps her hands over her loot and if something is flowing out, then she plays a little bit. Or maybe she's keeping her hand on the cymbal. She's just kind of sitting in that. In that moment right now to figure out what that is. So that's what Ro's doing right now. She may, like, want to cast something on it or something, but right now, that's what she's doing. [01:41:31] Speaker C: Totally. Okay, so, ro, you sit focused on your loot. Thank you for all your patience. Micah, you are nothing if not accommodating, player. And I appreciate that. Micah, as everyone else doing their thing, what is it that you do? [01:41:44] Speaker A: Well, I'm gonna go up to Rose, and I'm gonna interrupt her, her little time. Sorry. [01:41:55] Speaker B: That's okay. [01:41:56] Speaker A: And I'm gonna go, hey, I think. [01:41:59] Speaker B: You almost, like, not, like, startle her in a way that she's mad, but I think it's just like, she was so, like, zoned in that she's like, oh, what's up, Greg? [01:42:09] Speaker A: I'm gonna say that this is a little. So there's something about different. There's something different about Craig's demeanor. As he looks heavy with thought. He kind of crouches down in front of you and he says, okay, I know we've witnessed a lot of things, and I know that boz putting the staff against the tree caused really big reaction. [01:42:45] Speaker B: I'd say probably so. [01:42:47] Speaker A: But what, like, what do you think the cause of that exactly was? Like, was it the staff or was it the tree? [01:42:58] Speaker B: I mean, I don't. I mean, obviously, that. I know. I know quite a bit about magic now, but, I mean, obviously, it's a little bit above my pay grade still, but. [01:43:16] Speaker C: Jackie, I'm so sorry. [01:43:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:43:18] Speaker C: Your audio has suddenly gotten much quieter. Is this where your mic is facing or where you are oriented? [01:43:23] Speaker B: How is it now? [01:43:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:43:24] Speaker B: Is that better? [01:43:25] Speaker C: Much better. [01:43:26] Speaker B: Sorry, I didn't even notice. Like I said, it. It's a little bit above my pay grade now, but I. I mean, from what I would think, I mean, obviously, that tree seems incredibly powerful, and we know how powerful baals staff is. My guess is maybe it was kind of a cataclysmic thing between the two. I. I don't know. Maybe. Maybe it has to do with how they both have, like, a natural, very old magic to them, or they're both, like, druidic in a sense. I don't know. I. I mean, we haven't touched the tree, but maybe. Maybe it had to do with two powerful things coming together. [01:44:29] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:44:31] Speaker B: What is this? [01:44:34] Speaker C: I don't mean at all to interrupt this roleplay. I'd like this role play to continue as it's going. I don't want to interfere. I like when you guys don't need me for long periods of time. Ro, there's no check here. As someone proficient in Arcana, especially with everything you've witnessed and the things you're learning about the maker and things you've gathered about this temple in this forest, you're just aware that this tree is. It appears to be, even if it's in a way that Ro doesn't directly comprehend. At the center of this chamber, at the bottom of this temple, in the middle of the west wood, this is probably one of the more magical points in the world. So you get the feeling that no check necessary, that this tree is so intensely powerful that the Kirk of the mad prince, as one of the most powerful magic items in the world, is one of the great vestiges of existence. As the direct implement of an archfey was just. It was like putting a hair to a flame. In the difference of power and nature and make up an energy and force. [01:45:37] Speaker B: Of one object to another, Trinity is that much more. [01:45:45] Speaker C: Bend the staff back like a hair to flame. And you know what, Craig? I know you're not the caster, and I want to take your role play away from it, but I'm going to say that some amount of that is impressed upon you as well, because you've been identifying magical items for some time now. You have some natural sense through old for their power and their scale. Like, I'm not saying that you have the same understanding. I don't want to take away from your question. That is absolutely still pondering for Craig. I never want to change the way you're playing your character, but it is obvious to both of you, in whatever way, that this tree is very powerful. [01:46:22] Speaker A: Craig is kind of playing around with the clasp that he has, just thinking and pondering. I think something's telling me there's, like. [01:46:36] Speaker B: There'S a reason that. I mean, someone like, like a group of a group of people like us. I mean, we wandered around the woods and didn't even know what day it was. I mean, I think all of us can feel it. This place here in the west woods, it's. It's quite powerful. [01:46:58] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:46:59] Speaker A: You know, something's telling me that if. If I walk out of here and I didn't at least get a closer look, I'm gonna regret it. [01:47:13] Speaker B: A closer look at the tree? [01:47:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:47:17] Speaker B: Like, are you saying you want. You want to touch it? [01:47:21] Speaker A: No, no, no. I don't want to touch it. I don't want to make contact with it because I saw what happened to the staff? But I can't make that jump. I'm quite dense. I will sink. I can't swim. [01:47:37] Speaker B: Yeah, I've seen. [01:47:44] Speaker A: But I do know that Faber might be able to make the jump and that I could see through his eyes. It's a him, right? I can't see anyone, Zach. [01:47:57] Speaker B: Okay, wait, I was. I didn't. I couldn't hear anything for a second, really. [01:48:04] Speaker A: Okay. [01:48:04] Speaker B: I'm back, though. I don't know what you said. You said. You said favor, and then it cut out. You said, I do know that favor. [01:48:12] Speaker A: And then favor could probably make that jump, right, Zach? [01:48:17] Speaker C: Okay, yeah, he's a cat for sure. [01:48:19] Speaker A: Okay, well, maybe it's 30ft distance into the trip. [01:48:23] Speaker C: I'm sorry, Micah. I didn't. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean that sarcastically. I'm. I didn't mean to make fun of you. I just, like, I was saying emphatically, like, absolutely, he's a cat. It's a distance that Boz could hold the staff across the cat. [01:48:35] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't. [01:48:38] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I didn't mean that to come off. [01:48:40] Speaker A: You're okay. Um, so feyther. [01:48:46] Speaker B: Oh. I mean, technically, he's like a fey creature, so if. I mean, he goes back to the fey wild if something harms him, for lack of a better word, here in our plane. But I don't know. I mean, he is something that's. That's magical. And if you put him with the tree, it could cause something to happen to him. I mean, like I said, I don't know. [01:49:25] Speaker A: Oh, no. Oh, no. I'm falling into the age old tale. Curiosity is what killed the cat. Oh, man, I should have seen this coming. I should. I should have known. [01:49:44] Speaker C: I should have known. Now I have to rename the session. [01:49:50] Speaker A: I can't do that to Feber. Oh, no. It's like history repeating itself. [01:49:59] Speaker B: I mean. Yeah. [01:49:59] Speaker A: Oh, what did I almost do? [01:50:01] Speaker B: No, I mean, I. Micah, you're a menace. [01:50:06] Speaker C: You are a menace to society. You are a menace to this campaign. You are a menace, dude. [01:50:11] Speaker B: Yeah, Craig, it could very well kill him. And not, like, in the whole real sense of it. [01:50:22] Speaker D: Oh, Mandy, I just got back from the bathroom. Is faber dead yet? [01:50:26] Speaker B: No, but Micah just said that curiosity could kill the cat, and Zach and I were gone for a minute. [01:50:38] Speaker A: Oh, man. I just. [01:50:41] Speaker C: So what are you doing? Craig. [01:50:44] Speaker A: How much, like, ground is there in front? Like, around the tree? [01:50:50] Speaker C: It's like, 4ft. It's like stone edge 4ft. And then there's that water that seems to go down with no clear depth. And then the tree. And the tree is huge. The trunk of the tree is like 15ft across at its lowest point where it meets the water, and then it starts twisting up into this, like, 150 foot tall tree. It's huge. Are there the trunks, like 20ft across? Yes. [01:51:19] Speaker A: There rocks around? [01:51:22] Speaker C: Yes. And again, I do not mean this sarcastically. Do you remember the description of the sanctuary last time with the stone that was like. Like a. Like a black diamond kind of marble? That's what's. Yeah, that's what's around the tree. [01:51:38] Speaker A: Oh, man. I guess it's just one of the times that I can't walk away with the souvenir. That's okay. I did get a vision, so I probably should be happy about that. [01:51:51] Speaker B: Craig, don't you. Don't you draw? [01:51:56] Speaker A: Um, no, no, no, I don't. That. That would be the other talented, um. [01:52:05] Speaker B: Oh, Mandy. [01:52:06] Speaker A: Party members. Those are the words. Players. Characters are not the words. [01:52:10] Speaker B: Not un. It's not unwarrior. Like if you draw. [01:52:18] Speaker A: Yeah, it just might look like. Here, let me show you. And then, like, Craig pulls out his journal and is like his, like, pen and he just like, draws really terrible. It looks like brighten broccoli and then, like. And then, like, lines going down for the water and then, like different height stick figures for the party members. Like, to the right. [01:52:43] Speaker B: What if you, what if you wrote a poem about what we saw? Maybe you and I could, like, make it into a song later. [01:52:55] Speaker A: This is a good idea. Micah is definitely not looking at a certain notes document that might be wanting to use. Y'all should definitely talk about what Landon's doing. [01:53:06] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm just saying. I'm just saying, craig, like, ro was gonna say one last thing. She's gonna say, you know, even if you don't have, like, a physical souvenir to take with you. I think. I think even. Even though you don't have, you know, keen minds like I do, I think. [01:53:26] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. [01:53:27] Speaker B: I think you're. [01:53:28] Speaker A: You got me there. [01:53:29] Speaker B: I think we can all. I think we'll all be taking this with us for quite a while. [01:53:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:53:37] Speaker B: Even if it's not a physical souvenir, as you say. [01:53:40] Speaker C: Greta. Greta stands up from where she is. She walks over and she's got her holy symbol in her hand. And there's just a long pause. And then she looks up very starkly, kind of at both of you all. And she says, after escaping B'Shaba, gaining Ayun and witnessing that vision. It's with confidence that I can say. And then smash cut to Baz and tello walking up the stairs, going toward the vault, and wheezing, and they pass me. So, boz, you and tella go up. Like, I'm trying to remember from the diagram. It's all right, brother. [01:54:36] Speaker D: Ready for oceans two. [01:54:43] Speaker C: Dang it. Um, I hate when you get me with that crap. You guys go, like, 60ft up this floating staircase, and you return to the level that leads to the vault. And the nice thing is that as you all pass by now, all the vault doors. [01:54:56] Speaker B: Fart doors. [01:54:58] Speaker C: There's fart doors. [01:55:01] Speaker B: All the fart doors. [01:55:13] Speaker D: I'm sorry, Zach. We'll let you dm now. [01:55:15] Speaker B: I'm sorry. I knew you couldn't resist a fart joke, though. [01:55:20] Speaker C: You know, it's deactivated. But I have stats for the security golem, and it would be a fascinating fight. [01:55:30] Speaker D: I would. So, anyway, I would just cast friend. What do you do? [01:55:35] Speaker C: Cast blanket. [01:55:38] Speaker D: It's technically a container. Okay. [01:55:42] Speaker C: So you all passed by the open vault doors, and each one you do, as you guys walk by, there's a thin little. And you all return into the vast, imposing and epic magical vault that Zach painstakingly reconstructed. And you go to the adamantine sort of vault, the upright vault at the back of the room, and you stand in front of it with Tello at your side. Again, boss. [01:56:19] Speaker D: All right, tello, I don't know exactly how this works, but if you want to provide the help. Action. [01:56:30] Speaker C: What is it that you would like me to. What is it that you would like me to contribute? [01:56:40] Speaker D: I don't know. You're the expert. I mean, do you want to try to give it a shot before I do my thing? Or, like, what do you like? [01:56:47] Speaker C: Uh, sure. Boz, you remember from yesterday that, um. Uh, it was the. Like, you all magically unlocked all of the doors. The. The open of every vault door. And then the failed attempts on this vault. [01:57:03] Speaker D: Okay, okay. [01:57:04] Speaker C: Were all, like, Arcane. So tell us. Just like. I mean, I've got the lockpick, but there's no hole there, so. [01:57:11] Speaker D: That's a good point. [01:57:12] Speaker C: I think this might. Might be a bit outside of my Belerick. [01:57:15] Speaker D: Okay. All right. Well, boss is gonna cast guidance on himself, and then he is going to pull out his chime. And. [01:57:29] Speaker C: And, Landon, you and I discussed this yesterday, and I made a ruling, and I said, write it down, because I'm not gonna remember. What is it that I said? [01:57:35] Speaker D: Oh, so you said it was gonna take two charges of this thing. But you said that instead of doing them together, we could do them one at a time. [01:57:46] Speaker C: Dope. So it's a. It's a DC you've got to beat. [01:57:50] Speaker D: When we first did it, you. We were both gonna roll opposing D 100s. But yes. I don't know. [01:57:56] Speaker C: Thank you. No, this is why I'm asking you. I do not remember. [01:58:00] Speaker B: And then didn't you say, I'm not trying to be the kid. That's like, we forgot our homework. But didn't you say, because we failed on the first one trying to get it open, it was gonna go up? [01:58:09] Speaker C: No, I just looked. I just looked at what the DC is now in my notes and. Holy crap. [01:58:15] Speaker B: But you said we couldn't get it. Cause I even asked her. I was like, would there be. It would. It wouldn't even be possible for us to get it. But the lock thing that Boz has is different than us just trying to open it. [01:58:27] Speaker C: Yes. So we are now gonna do. We are now going to do the DC things. So here's the way I'm going to have this work now, Lando. So I have the DC for this vault written down on my paper, actually, I'll tell you what. Even though I do love these gorgeous, gorgeous dice. Ah, they're beautiful. [01:58:44] Speaker B: Wow. [01:58:45] Speaker C: I rolled a 55. How cool is that? What I'm gonna do is, if you roll within, it's a magical item. It should be a large range. If you roll within 15 to either direction of the DC for opening the vault, the vault will open with just one charge, 30. That's huge. [01:59:17] Speaker D: This is what this item does. But I also. [01:59:19] Speaker C: That's what this item does. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So for each charge, you can roll, if you roll within 15 to either side of the deck. You know what? Yeah, it's a good point. [01:59:29] Speaker D: Competing d have to do twice, and I have to get within third. Within 15 on either side of the number. [01:59:35] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:59:40] Speaker D: Okay. Let me think for just a moment. [01:59:42] Speaker C: I mean. Well, do you prefer the competing D 100 roll? The problem is, I don't remember what my rule. I don't remember what I was going for with that. I don't know if it was matching. I don't remember if it was proximity. [01:59:52] Speaker D: I just had to do more than what you rolled. [01:59:56] Speaker C: Was that it? [01:59:57] Speaker D: I believe you. [01:59:57] Speaker C: I don't. [01:59:57] Speaker D: That's what we were gonna do. You said that we were gonna roll two d one hundred s. I'm just thinking. I don't know what. [02:00:02] Speaker C: Okay, I can do that. [02:00:03] Speaker D: I don't so within 30. So there's basically a 30% chance of doing it times two. So that's like. Yes, one times 30. No, no, 30 times 100. Times 30. Times 100. [02:00:20] Speaker C: Micah, slow. Look up at the camera when you said that. [02:00:23] Speaker D: That's very. But also, I like the idea of rolling for it competing. [02:00:27] Speaker C: Okay. [02:00:28] Speaker D: So if you're okay with doing that, I would. [02:00:30] Speaker C: Hey, I only made up this rule just now because I couldn't remember what I rolled last time. [02:00:33] Speaker D: Okay. All right. So are you gonna stick with your 55 or are you gonna roll again? [02:00:39] Speaker C: No, no. That's unfair to you. I should. I should have to roll independently. [02:00:43] Speaker D: All right. And how does my guidance play into this at all? Or does it not do anything? [02:00:46] Speaker C: It does not. [02:00:47] Speaker D: Okay. [02:00:48] Speaker C: But you are guided. [02:00:48] Speaker D: It's a comfort. It's a comfort blanket. [02:00:50] Speaker C: Okay, are you ready? [02:00:52] Speaker D: Yes. Oh, real quick. One more question. Can I use my inspiration to reroll one of these if I roll below? [02:00:58] Speaker C: I'm not gonna say on this. [02:00:59] Speaker D: On this. [02:01:00] Speaker C: I can use inspiration for a lot of things, but no, not for this. [02:01:03] Speaker D: Okay. [02:01:05] Speaker C: Because this is like the functions and charges of the magic item. [02:01:08] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [02:01:09] Speaker C: It's. I think it's important that I maintain the stakes here. [02:01:11] Speaker D: No, no, that's fine. All right, so I ding the thing. Let's roll. [02:01:16] Speaker C: I have rolled. [02:01:17] Speaker D: All right. I got a 45. You got a three. [02:01:28] Speaker B: You got three. Three. [02:01:32] Speaker A: Ain't no way. Ain't no way. [02:01:41] Speaker C: You know, it's wild. Boss. What if we had stuck with the other rule that also would have opened it. [02:01:47] Speaker D: Really? That's crazy. [02:01:49] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Cause it was within ten, wasn't it? [02:01:52] Speaker C: Within 15. [02:01:54] Speaker D: Wow. And that's right on the dot, isn't it? Goes a DC. A 30, huh? [02:01:59] Speaker C: No, 35. [02:02:00] Speaker D: Okay. Yeah. That's crazy. That's hilarious. [02:02:02] Speaker B: That. [02:02:02] Speaker D: No matter. [02:02:03] Speaker C: Last time and moved it up to 35. [02:02:05] Speaker D: That's crazy. [02:02:07] Speaker C: So, Boz, you hold up your metal chimes. Man, this episode is. Yeah, I have to rename it. Whispers in the woods. Makes no sense now it's no longer episode 100, which. What could be more fitting for the accident adventures? This is now episode 100. Curiosity killed the cat. And so, boz, you hold up the chimes, or maybe like, curiosity, something the druid. I don't know. We'll workshop it. You hold up your metal chime pieces, and you. And they sort of, like, for a second, you're like. And then you hear, like. And you watch as the metal on that sort of circular magical pattern on the door, like, rotates, and then there's this, like, a gas release. And at a level that boz doesn't understand, it's not some sort of like a Sci-Fi thing. What's happening is the air in here has been in this chamber so long that it is literally at a slightly minutely different atmospheric pressure than the air on the outside. And as the door opens, there's like, a gas differential. As the vault door slides open, what is inside is a suit of armor. It is full plate, or so you suppose, because it's very hard. It's not a curious. And then pauldrons and then bracers and greaves and a helmet as you know it. Like, there's this metal hood with a slit that goes down the face and then divides into a wide face plate to a sharp point. And that's kind of one contiguous piece with the neck, and that sort of stands on its own. So it's like a really heavy, few gapped helmet. But then the body piece is like one central breast piece that connects to the pieces of the arm. Almost assume it to be some sort of a bizarre automaton or construct as the golem outside. Except that there are divided pieces, and it is clearly hollow. And the whole thing looks. The metal, it's like a tone somewhere in between gold and platinum in terms of color. Like, it has a gold hue, but it's very silvery. It's almost like, just barely gold tone. And the entire metal looks very, very, very faintly like Damascus, like that swirling pattern all over it. And every time you move slightly, the metal reflects a sheen that's sort of rainbow, like. Like an oil spill. And, like, rose hair. There is a trim at the edge of every piece. So every piece of armor is just smooth and sort of form fitting to a vague musculature. But there's no guilds, no designs, no sections, no divisions. But there is a trim at every edge of the armor. And you can see all those tiny glyphs and that language that's in, like, kind of the most magical places of this temple that you don't know how to read. And the suit of armor just gleams and shines. [02:05:47] Speaker D: I, um. I look at tello. [02:05:54] Speaker C: He just looks kind of stunned. That's beautiful. Used to be a courier. That's all. That's the whole thought. And he's just staring. [02:06:14] Speaker D: I used to have a canoe. [02:06:16] Speaker C: Kind of dumb. Um, did you? That's kind of cool. [02:06:20] Speaker D: Yeah, it was. It was. It was very nice. I just go out little rides in the mornings, you know? [02:06:24] Speaker C: Um, you know, that information is canoe to me. [02:06:28] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [02:06:29] Speaker C: I'm trying to process what's happening. [02:06:31] Speaker D: DM inspiration. I vote. [02:06:35] Speaker C: What say you all? [02:06:38] Speaker A: DM inspiration. [02:06:39] Speaker D: Yes. [02:06:40] Speaker A: Or d. D inspiration. [02:06:43] Speaker D: He gets inspiration because he did a pun. Come on, guys. [02:06:46] Speaker A: Yes. [02:06:47] Speaker D: I'll say yes, Jackie, on episode 100. [02:06:52] Speaker A: Damn. Inspiration. Yeah. [02:06:56] Speaker B: I didn't want to give them inspiration when we're still in these spooky woods. [02:07:00] Speaker A: This feels like on American Idol, when you're like, yes. I say yes. And then that one person's like, congratulations. [02:07:11] Speaker C: No, for me, Don, one of us. [02:07:13] Speaker D: Has actually heard those words before. [02:07:16] Speaker C: It's Micah. Wait, you're vegan. [02:07:19] Speaker B: Actually, two of us. You were standing outside of the room. [02:07:24] Speaker D: You had your tv. They turn off the tv before we heard it, so I didn't know. [02:07:29] Speaker B: Hang you. [02:07:29] Speaker C: Ryan, secret Noah's production back into this session. [02:07:37] Speaker D: Okay. So I pick up the armor, and I'm like, hey, can you give me a hand? [02:07:43] Speaker C: You go to. You go to lift it off, and it, like. You go to lift it. You're like, you can lift each piece kind of one at a time, but it is very heavy. [02:07:54] Speaker A: Where's Craig when you need him? You know? Where's Craig when you import him? [02:08:00] Speaker C: There are two pieces. [02:08:01] Speaker D: Two pieces. All right. [02:08:03] Speaker C: There is a helmet, and there is everything else. [02:08:08] Speaker D: Okay. [02:08:08] Speaker C: As you pick up the helmet, it feels like it weighs, like, ten pounds. I put just the helmet. [02:08:12] Speaker D: I put the helmet on my head just to have a place for it to go. [02:08:16] Speaker C: You try to, like, put it on, and as it sits on your head, you can't, like, get it on. Tell. It's, like, too constrict. [02:08:24] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. So it's, like, too small for me, which is weird. [02:08:28] Speaker C: Cause, like, it's large enough to fit, but as you try to put it on, you can't get it on. [02:08:32] Speaker D: Okay, tello, how do you wanna get this down there? Or should we just leave it up here? [02:08:38] Speaker C: Cause we got, like, we should use Craig. [02:08:40] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. Do you have the sending stone by chance? [02:08:44] Speaker C: Nope. Left it with raw crap. Dang it. Smash cut back downstairs. [02:08:49] Speaker B: I have a. I have a question. As a player. [02:08:52] Speaker C: Not. [02:08:52] Speaker B: I know Ro is not up there. [02:08:54] Speaker C: But she is not. That is true. [02:08:56] Speaker B: The metal that you were talking about, it's not. It's not, like, the same look as, like, the. What's in the loop now? Is it just out of curiosity, it's for comparison? No. Okay. I just wonder. [02:09:13] Speaker C: Downstairs crew, what you doing? [02:09:15] Speaker B: So, Craig, what you. What did you decide, like, because that depends on what rose doing. Are you still standing there talking? I can't hear you. Craig, you're muted, baby. [02:09:27] Speaker C: You're muted. [02:09:28] Speaker A: That's embarrassing. You know that? I was muted. That's crazy. Suddenly Greg has an idea accent in. This whole time, he's been faking a regular one, and now he's got this. [02:09:39] Speaker C: Accent and he's also kind of approaching an accent. [02:09:43] Speaker A: He's also got a higher voice with this for some reason. Anyways, Craig is definitely doing exactly what Micah is doing, which is very quickly trying to alter a poem to fit this instant instance. [02:10:02] Speaker C: Okay, so Craig is furiously writing. [02:10:05] Speaker A: And I'd like to think, ro, I don't want to, like, you know when you're like a little kid and then, like, you'd be like, okay, let's just pretend that you do this. [02:10:14] Speaker C: Micah, you've gone crunchy again. [02:10:16] Speaker B: Yeah, you cut out. You cut out. [02:10:18] Speaker C: You got crunchy. [02:10:19] Speaker A: I'll repeat what I said again. So you know when you're like, little playing pretend and you wanted your friend to do something, but you didn't want to make them do something, so you said, let's pretend you do this. Hey, Ro, what is. [02:10:33] Speaker B: Yes, I know exactly that. That sounded sarcastic, but I'm serious. [02:10:42] Speaker A: But, um, so anyway, I'd like to think that you. You're plucking a melody as, like, looking over my shoulder. But that's just me. That's just me. I don't know. I don't know anything. Craig is just writing down. [02:10:55] Speaker C: I like to think you're doing this, but there's no mean. I didn't mean it. [02:10:58] Speaker B: I. I don't. [02:10:59] Speaker A: Look at me. [02:11:00] Speaker B: Whatever. [02:11:00] Speaker A: What are you. What? Your turn. [02:11:03] Speaker B: I would. Okay, I'll play with this. I would like. I would like Craig. Okay. I would like Craig to believe. [02:11:12] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness, guys. [02:11:13] Speaker B: No, listen, this is good. Like, no, I would like Craig to believe that Ro is plucking the melody for him, but in reality, she's doing something completely different. So, like, she's playing. She's starting to play, like, a melody. And I feel like Craig is like, okay, yeah, we're vibing, we're writing a song, and Ro is. Ro has. It has kind of gone back to studying her loot. And I think I. I think she's going to. As she's plucking along, she's going to put her hands so the cords. As she's playing with her left hand to flavor this, I would like it to feel like every time she changes cords, her finger slides down the neck and rubs against the veins that have now been filled. And as she strums, every time she strums the, the, like, back of her hand, like, grazes over the symbol, oh, girl nos. And as she starts doing that, she, like, kind of casts because she's very. She's. She wants to know if what this has done to her loot. And I think she's gonna cast identify on this in that way of, like, just as she's playing, she's grazing the eye. [02:12:40] Speaker C: You've become so skill debarred and so well accustomed to the spell that you almost. You almost cast it unintentionally or like, subconsciously. I mean, you're. [02:12:50] Speaker A: You. [02:12:50] Speaker C: You did mean to, but you were halfway, like, through doing it. You're like, oh, yeah, I'm casting this like a song you know how to play so well that you, you know, you almost just kind of start playing, playing it. [02:13:01] Speaker B: I want to say that it's like, I know this is, like, I don't know if it's my right to do this, but, like, flavoring wise, I want it to be like a song that, like, she's never played before. She's playing like, maybe it has a new song. Yeah, yeah. Like, it has some. Some like, it kind of. She's feeling of what she played earlier with the old song. And it's obviously not that, but, like, it's bringing that feeling. [02:13:31] Speaker C: It's a song. It's a song constructed. It's this disjointed, beautiful, but disjointed, melodious song constructed from the fragments of the tune you heard that flow through you, that used you as an instrument that you can't comprehend. And it's a song resulting from trying to pick up those pieces. And as you play and cast identifying, you realize that your, your loot is now well blessed, which means, ro, that your loot has three charges and two charges. So that symbol of the maker on the front is very, very, very dimly glowing. Like, I mean, like, like a. Like a centimeter of light is producing blow, but just barely and a centimeter visible light, of course. And each of the rings is lit up. And you realize that the three outer rings are blessed with boons of healing. They have. They have three charges of fundamental light. And what that means is that as a reaction, you can expend each of one of these three charges and you can give a healing spell that is cast by you or by someone else within. Within a hundred feet of you. Max healing. So you can force that spell to deal. Max healing. Now, these three charges are. It. It has three charges ever. Then the two inner rings, you said. [02:15:28] Speaker B: Cast by me or someone else. [02:15:31] Speaker C: Yeah. Just any healing spell that happens on the 100ft of you, you can use a reaction from either yourself or someone else to give it maximum healing. If you're conscious, obviously. Yeah. And aware of it and all those details. Then the two inner rings, same business, two charges ever. They'll let you cast, commune. [02:16:00] Speaker B: Holy crap. [02:16:01] Speaker C: So there are five charges here. Three of a boon of fundamental life, and then two boons of deepest truth, we'll say. And these are the five charges ever. Once they are expended, they are expended. They do not come back. [02:16:28] Speaker B: Sorry. It was writing all that down. [02:16:30] Speaker C: How dare you? Don't let it happen again. [02:16:34] Speaker B: Uh, I think. I think the Ro's gonna stop playing. [02:16:50] Speaker C: Okay. [02:16:51] Speaker B: And just kind of set her loop down and just. She's like, kind of. It's like that. It's. She's kind of been shocking it. She's like. She's, like, weirdly, she's, like, grateful. Like, in a way, like, she's, like, wanting. I don't know. She's like, thankful and grateful and. And yet confused of why, as ro. [02:17:27] Speaker C: Wrestles with these thoughts and these emotions. Craig, you're just working on the poem. [02:17:34] Speaker A: I'd say it's about done. [02:17:39] Speaker C: Okay. [02:17:39] Speaker A: Yes. [02:17:40] Speaker C: So I got it. Let me ask you all this question. How much more time does everyone spend in the temple? Oh. What? [02:17:54] Speaker A: I didn't say anything. [02:17:55] Speaker C: What was that? Micah? Oh, sorry, your audio was delayed for me. I got you, like, basically, I had two sessions planned. They have changed. Big mondo. Big, big. Which is fine. It's y'all's campaign. That's all good. I am not upset about that, but the sake of Zach's planning. Is this like a. Yeah. Okay, Dm. Good. Time to wrap up. We'll have a bunch of other temple stuff. Next time we'd like to investigate this room. We want to look at some of the books. You're like, now we're skated on out of here. Are you guys, like, we're gonna sit in here, we're gonna strategize for a couple days. Like, I like, what direction is the party going in? And I was either for the rest of what's left of this session, into the next session, so on. [02:18:39] Speaker D: I was. I'm pretty much done here with what I was wanting to do, but if other people had other things they wanted to do, we can do it. But I was. I was gonna try to go find the well after this. [02:18:51] Speaker B: I think even if we wanted to say, like, personally, I think Ronnie. And maybe I could see Greta wanting this, obviously. I don't know, but, like, if we just. [02:19:05] Speaker C: I will have you speak for just your character. [02:19:07] Speaker B: No, I know. I just mean, like, if we said, if we, like, you know how when we fast travel, like, if we said, like, oh, we stayed there the rest of the afternoon to just still take in everything in the room and just, like, take notes and breathe it in and then leave, but, like, we don't have to. I think. So, like, obviously, I don't need any more role playing in it. I don't think. [02:19:35] Speaker A: Yes. [02:19:37] Speaker C: Okay. Do you guys take any of the text with you, or do you leave them behind? And if so, which ones? Is that something you want to explore next session? Is this something you want for the future? I assume you're taking the Ozmodreacon. [02:19:50] Speaker B: Ozma drayaquant. [02:19:51] Speaker C: I assume you're taking the Osmo dracon. Anything else? [02:19:53] Speaker A: I leave my minister Longsword books. [02:20:01] Speaker D: I'm not taking any texts with me. [02:20:04] Speaker C: Where was so, Oz, you leave Hyundin's journal? [02:20:09] Speaker D: I feel like I write down the entry in the book that I have. [02:20:16] Speaker C: Okay, so you. You take. Copy the surviving entries from Hyundin, and you write them in the journal that you have from him? [02:20:24] Speaker D: Yes. [02:20:25] Speaker C: Okay. You copy them down. [02:20:26] Speaker D: Yes. [02:20:27] Speaker C: So you effectively have it, but you leave the original. Do you guys take blood song? Do you take death song? Final orders of guan nan dar. Final testament of arch priestess telly. I don't know any of these. Orlando, I don't think you need to. [02:20:43] Speaker A: I'm just asking from taking them. Why not just take them? Because, I don't know. [02:20:47] Speaker D: They kind of belong here. This is like a holy place with these things. It feels like these things were left here intentionally. I don't really want to take them away, you know? [02:20:59] Speaker B: So does that mean boss doesn't like that? [02:21:03] Speaker D: No, no. I think when in terms of utility, let's take it. But just works of literature, let's leave them. [02:21:12] Speaker B: Well, I. I think Ro speaks up, and, I mean, if we're discussing this or whatever, at whatever time, I think she would say we need to take the blood sawn one for sure, for, you know, to maybe show the manifest or something, like it could help. [02:21:39] Speaker D: What I'm worried is it looks like some people have worked super hard to destroy this thing and that it was the final work of the Lich Queen, and I'm worried that it has utility for them and that if we remove it from this temple, that it will give them the ability to find it. Again, I don't know. I don't. [02:22:04] Speaker B: You mean it would give ability for, like, the bad guys, the living? [02:22:08] Speaker D: Yeah. This feels like a holy site, and I think it may limit the people that come in here. And this might be not true, but I just. It looks like someone has tried to destroy this thing and not been able to. [02:22:22] Speaker A: I'm fine with taking whatever. I honestly don't. I think it'd be better to have it in our possession for our use and our knowledge, than to leave it gathering dust. But that. That's just my. My thoughts. But y'all just. I'm flexible. Y'all decide between yourselves. [02:22:46] Speaker B: This is when I wish Abby was. [02:22:48] Speaker C: Here, but she's not. [02:22:50] Speaker A: She has a bag of holding. [02:22:52] Speaker C: Let's just put it in there and be safe. [02:22:56] Speaker B: What? Micah, you got crispy. Yeah. [02:23:00] Speaker C: I do like these moments with Maeska, though. Like, it's kind of fun when suddenly Micah goes, guys, let's just. [02:23:10] Speaker A: I think that, like, she's got a back of holding. Like, it'd be safe in there. Like, there's a lot of space, you know? It could run around. Books do that. I. I don't know. [02:23:24] Speaker B: Books run around. Okay, y'all figure it out. [02:23:31] Speaker C: And the decision to which you all worked to come in the pursuit of utilizing time for a second session. [02:23:43] Speaker B: Uh oh. [02:23:44] Speaker C: Micah didn't like that. [02:23:46] Speaker D: She's coming back. [02:23:48] Speaker C: I know. I'm. [02:23:49] Speaker D: Hi, Micah. It kind of feels like y'all want to take it, so. I mean, if that's what y'all want to do, I think y'all should do it, but I just think that. I don't know. I just touched the tree of life, so I'm not really one to talk about nothing. Taking risks, so. I don't know. Follow your heart, I guess. [02:24:16] Speaker B: Zach, can you refresh our memories real quick, just, like, super fast on what the other ones were? [02:24:25] Speaker C: The other was. [02:24:26] Speaker B: I know what the names of them. [02:24:27] Speaker C: But I can't remember exactly that song. It has not been opened. Final orders of Gualna. And it has not been opened. Final orders of our priestess telly. It has not been opened. And the surviving entries from Hyun Dean's journal have not been open. [02:24:42] Speaker B: Were two different books. Oh, I thought they were together. [02:24:46] Speaker C: Two different books. [02:24:49] Speaker B: I. I mean, Ro would take them. [02:25:06] Speaker C: Is that what the party does? Micah has abstained. Okay. All right, so, ro, I would like you to put in your inventory. Death song. Like, and you can just put books or whatever. Death song. Then final orders of Gual na and our final testaments of arch priestess telly. And then Boz copied down the journal and, oh, and I guess blood song. And the titles are in lore and reference in the channel, so you can. You can copy the titles down from there. Okay, then here's what we'll do. We'll go ahead and cap the episode here. The. Definitely the episode. Definitely not. 100 episode. 100 whispers in the woods. Super. Not that. Which is fine. That's not a bad thing. And we'll go to break, and you guys can decide if there's any remaining stuff you want to do in the temple. And we can absolutely say that the party spent the rest of however much time there investigating. I can answer any technical questions then. And then beep, beep. You know, listeners. 100 episodes. Wow. That's nuts. [02:26:24] Speaker B: Wow. [02:26:25] Speaker C: Wow. Thank you for sticking with us that long. I'll tell you what. I'm not going to drag the outro out too long, because everybody here is very tired, and I'm not going to act like the ceremony of these numbers of episodes changes the amount of remaining energy we have to allocate to these sessions. So in the interest of keeping people awake and things moving, thank you very much for staying with us for more than two years and 100 episodes. Holy crap. You are going on a journey with us. It is a parasocial relationship, and a relationship nonetheless. And the part that is not parasocial and is very authentic is that we want you to know that life is an incredible story, and you are an important part of it. And if you ever find yourself at the bottom of a temple with a tree in a chamber with text all over it describing the origin of existence on your planet, and you receive a vision. Just take some careful steps before you poke the tree in the middle of the room. [02:27:17] Speaker D: But gotta poke it. [02:27:18] Speaker B: Don't poke it. [02:27:19] Speaker C: But then again, you gotta poke it. Different lessons. [02:27:22] Speaker D: It worked out. [02:27:22] Speaker C: Life is an incredible adventure. You are an important part of it altogether. Now scoop it to the bob.
