[00:00:12] Speaker A: Welcome back to barely D and D, your sword of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. My name's Jackie, and we are coming at you with a new episode today and. And the last episode from the west coast. On my end, at least. So. Howdy. Howdy, howdy. I know I said that last time, but whatever. It's. Yeah, okay. Hi. [00:00:36] Speaker B: Welcome back to barely D and D. We have a full party of 11th level characters, which is crazy. Guys, that's. That's really high. That is a really high level party. And one of them is a paladin. [00:00:49] Speaker C: Just curious. [00:00:54] Speaker B: I believe he has the noble stat block from the monster manual, so I think he's cr. One half. Which, to be clear, means that ro could beat the living crap out of. [00:01:04] Speaker A: Him, but it also. We won't. [00:01:07] Speaker B: Why am I laughing on the details? Too much of how in the D and D world, if you read enough books, just bullet wounds are no longer fatal. And how, unless you choose to be a protagonist in the world, you can be 12ft tall and 400 pounds of muscle and you could still fall over and die. It's not important. But anyway, we have a palate in our midst. I've said that so many times. [00:01:34] Speaker D: I have something I want to say. [00:01:35] Speaker B: I. Shut up about it. [00:01:36] Speaker D: I have something I want to say. You guys start the last episode. [00:01:41] Speaker E: No, I didn't. [00:01:42] Speaker D: What? [00:01:43] Speaker E: Wait. Yes, I do. [00:01:43] Speaker D: What class would you be if you could be any other class and you knew the whole time you're about to be a different. [00:01:49] Speaker E: I can't see zach and I can't see landon. [00:01:53] Speaker D: I think I'm gonna just be something. [00:01:55] Speaker E: Man, discord hates men. I did none of the wise. [00:02:07] Speaker A: Paladin. None of the words were paladin. [00:02:10] Speaker D: None of the words were paladin. [00:02:11] Speaker A: What did you say? [00:02:12] Speaker C: I know what you said, but it was not paladin. [00:02:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't know what it was. [00:02:15] Speaker E: But I was probably thinking about guidance and thinking about roques. [00:02:20] Speaker A: What? Anyways, I can't cast guidance. [00:02:23] Speaker B: Micah, if you're having trouble hearing and seeing everyone. Micah, if you're having trouble hearing and seeing everyone, you can just exit and enter really quickly, and that should resolve it for you guys. But no pressure. [00:02:36] Speaker D: All right? Bye, micah. [00:02:41] Speaker B: That's. [00:02:41] Speaker D: That's what I had to say. That's what I had to say. That's my piece. [00:02:44] Speaker A: That was a good piece. I clap for that. [00:02:47] Speaker C: Did you plan this? Did you guys plan this? [00:02:49] Speaker D: No, I had no idea. [00:02:50] Speaker B: Me and my God. [00:02:51] Speaker D: No idea. [00:02:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:02:53] Speaker B: Did micah and I planned this? [00:02:54] Speaker C: Yes. [00:02:56] Speaker B: Yeah. After we played the temple of the old ones episode after we had episode 99, micah was like, magic's incredible. And I really want to cast. And I was like, okay. She's like, I want to be honest. [00:03:06] Speaker A: Can we just say. I know this is tiptoeing a tiny bit into third watch, but I just want to say one. One little sentence. [00:03:12] Speaker B: And that sentence. [00:03:14] Speaker A: And that sentence is for craig's character arc. Paladin is such a genius move, and I love it. I think so, too. And that one, I think it's really good. [00:03:27] Speaker C: I get to say an awesome. [00:03:29] Speaker D: Zach, can I also have one sentence, please? [00:03:32] Speaker B: Yeah, go ahead. [00:03:33] Speaker E: Can I also have one sentence, please? [00:03:36] Speaker D: Can I give my one sentence? [00:03:38] Speaker B: Unionized. [00:03:40] Speaker A: We're reaping the benefit. [00:03:41] Speaker C: Unionism. [00:03:43] Speaker B: You know what? I'm joining the union. I'm joining the union. [00:03:48] Speaker A: We'll consider. [00:03:49] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. I think unions keep you from discriminating. So what are we discriminating against? [00:03:56] Speaker E: What is. So, what is the sentence? So curious. [00:03:59] Speaker D: That is true. [00:04:00] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:04:00] Speaker D: That's a protected class of people's dungeon master. [00:04:03] Speaker B: Landon, what's your. What's your sentence? Michael wants to know. [00:04:07] Speaker D: I gave my sentence to Micah. So she has two now. [00:04:10] Speaker B: Micah? [00:04:14] Speaker D: No, but I am serving a subpoena. I'll see you in court. [00:04:21] Speaker B: Okay. I'm just going to regain control, because I don't think anyone acts as anything. [00:04:30] Speaker E: I had a sentence. I don't know these imposters. I just wanted to say, I. Whenever I was, like, we were at Zach's apartment recording that episode about, like, us, you know, in the chambers, unlocking things, unlocking the lore, I was on the edge of my seat and was like, I am so excited. And when I found out that it was catered to magical people, I was like, what the heck? And I was like, I want to be a part of this, and I want to be able to experience the lore as a caster, but I also don't want to lose Craig. And we put our brains together and thank you, Zach. Awesome DM for just being flexible and helping me give room for creativity, but also, like, so in a structured way. [00:05:23] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:05:23] Speaker B: I love that you're so into it. And then you had this idea. I am not saying that I've given Micah the best of all the paladin subclasses, but I have given her the coolest of all the paladin subclasses. I'm very excited to see her use these features because Craig both has a bunch of abilities. Now, he can do a lot of stuff, and also, he is stupid strong. So I'm really ready to watch him. [00:05:45] Speaker A: Does he breathe? [00:05:47] Speaker C: He breathes again. [00:05:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Because all the old stuff is gone. Yeah. Snoring is back. Snoring is back. Which is why snoring was never gone. [00:05:54] Speaker A: It was never gone. [00:05:56] Speaker B: Inexplicably never gone. [00:05:58] Speaker D: That was a prank old played on us. [00:06:01] Speaker B: Now there'll be holy snores. He'll harmonize every time he breathes out. [00:06:06] Speaker A: That's better, I guess. [00:06:08] Speaker B: But does anybody have a killer letter question. [00:06:15] Speaker E: Landon had no idea how on point that letter to question was last time. [00:06:19] Speaker D: I know. [00:06:21] Speaker E: We had no idea. [00:06:25] Speaker B: It's wild that we didn't plan that. [00:06:30] Speaker C: Oh, I have a question. This is kind of light hearted. Is it okay to have a light hearted? [00:06:35] Speaker A: I think it's a good, good time to do a light hearted one. [00:06:39] Speaker C: I was. I thought of this because of Zach's water bottle. What is your. So my, like, water bottle is, like, my little comfort item. And I take it with me, like, constantly, all the time. Um, what is your character's version of, like, their comfort item? Does that make sense? [00:06:58] Speaker A: Who is. [00:07:02] Speaker D: I want Dogoth. General. Dogoth. General. Survive. The lady who's all stuck up and. But has a soft side for the fun. [00:07:10] Speaker E: Guys, what's her lady that Ro wanted to kill? [00:07:13] Speaker D: Yeah. What's her comfort item? And did we accidentally take it? [00:07:19] Speaker B: Are we talking about Kaladra? [00:07:21] Speaker D: Yes. [00:07:23] Speaker B: Okay, guys, I have 17 different answers. Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Here's how we're gonna do this. [00:07:30] Speaker D: Here's. [00:07:31] Speaker B: Here's how we're gonna do this. Okay, Landon, what is your vote? Pick a character. [00:07:37] Speaker D: Colladra. [00:07:39] Speaker B: Okay, Jackie, what's your vote? Pick a character. [00:07:42] Speaker A: Baguba. [00:07:44] Speaker B: Abby. [00:07:45] Speaker A: Nifty. [00:07:47] Speaker B: Micah. [00:07:48] Speaker E: Nifty. [00:07:50] Speaker B: Okay. Nifty it is, Craig. Anyway, what's your. What's Rose? What's Rose? What's Rose? Comfort item. [00:08:01] Speaker A: Gordon, I think that's. [00:08:03] Speaker B: Other than her loot. Other than her loot and other than the songbook. So loot and songbook don't count. [00:08:10] Speaker A: You have to wait. Okay, then give me a second. I gotta look at my stuff. [00:08:13] Speaker D: Okay, I'll go. I have one. Zach. I have one. Can I go? [00:08:16] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. Go, boss. Yes. [00:08:18] Speaker A: All right. [00:08:19] Speaker D: Boz's comfort item is the pet sticks. He's grown very attached to him. [00:08:25] Speaker B: That sounds like a dumb joke. You have role played that so much, though. Like, that is very true. At this. He saw one come to life and. [00:08:33] Speaker D: Realized, oh, that could, like, have. It's real. I should love them. He loves his pet sticks. [00:08:40] Speaker B: They really are like pets to him there. Oh, my goodness. In five years, pet sticks are going to catch on in yellow and, like, pet rocks did. [00:08:49] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. Craig like that? Well, he has a pet rock. No, I'm just kidding. No, on a serious note, I was going to say his wedding ring. I mean, it's kind of like he fiddles with it when he's nervous, he's fiddling with it when he's nostalgic, when he misses her. Like, it's his wedding ring. [00:09:17] Speaker A: Makes sense. [00:09:18] Speaker E: And his rocks, that is such. [00:09:19] Speaker B: That's such a good, deep, meaningful reason. But now all I can think of is Craig as a traveling salesman for pet rocks, and he's like, look, people, it's a pet you can keep in your mouth. You ever said, it's so cute, I. [00:09:32] Speaker E: Want to eat it up now you can. [00:09:38] Speaker B: You, madam, you there. What do you always want to do with your pets that you can't, I don't know, take them outside, put them in your mouth. Right. Oh, true, true. Greta. [00:09:53] Speaker C: I feel like the obvious answer is the spell book, not the spellbook, you know? [00:10:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:03] Speaker C: Um, but also maybe nifty spyglass, because I feel like the notebook is like a phone, you know? That doesn't count, because it's like. It doesn't count. [00:10:12] Speaker B: It's Greta's version of the loot. Yeah. [00:10:14] Speaker C: Yeah. So I feel like. I feel like nifty spy glass is probably just something she's constantly fiddling with. [00:10:25] Speaker A: Go ahead. No, finish your. Finish your thought, babe. [00:10:29] Speaker C: Okay. Hey, I'm all out of sentences. [00:10:32] Speaker E: Hey, speaking of nifty, we gotta do row. [00:10:39] Speaker B: Like I said. Ro who? Well, now that I'm a paladin. [00:10:50] Speaker A: I think it used to be the trinket she had from Neville, or his other name, that I has left me now. Yeah, I don't know. [00:11:03] Speaker B: It's Neville now. [00:11:04] Speaker A: Yeah. That he gave to her when she left one of the guys at the orphanage that she always kept on her. She probably messed with it in her pocket. But I think as of late, since she's gone on her adventures with the fun guys, I think it's. And I know this is gonna sound like a joke, but I think it's. Whatever. Is her newest necklace. Like, I think every time I do one, it's, like, my favorite now. And she probably just, like. She probably, like, just, like, tint them. [00:11:41] Speaker B: Apart for a little bit so the luck doesn't rub from one to the other. [00:11:44] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. And I say that from experience, because that's how I feel when I get new necklaces, so. But, um, yeah, I think it's probably her comfort item is, like, having seven chains around her neck. The weight, you know, what is Endon's face. [00:12:04] Speaker B: I don't know what I missed, but I think I'm glad I missed it. Nifty. There's a conclusive answer for this. Nifty has a lucky spoon. And not only does Nifty have a lucky spoon, it's. It's like, a recorded item with stats, and I. I have, like. Like, a one shot planned around it sometime in the future for whoever, like, it's a big deal. Who knows? Anyway, moving forward, um, slowly losing consciousness. Yeah. I don't know what's happening with. For the note taking nerd. Landon, what is going on? Dude? [00:12:57] Speaker A: There's definitely second. [00:12:58] Speaker D: What are you talking about? I'm literally just sitting here listening. Is this what bullying feels like in public school? Because I'm just existing, trying to come. [00:13:13] Speaker C: At me, be on the other side of a union? Okay. [00:13:16] Speaker D: Yeah. Can I get my union ears to help back me up? [00:13:20] Speaker B: That is not what bullying feels like. [00:13:24] Speaker A: What? What was that? [00:13:28] Speaker E: Go ahead. Keep talking, Zach. Ignore what I just said. [00:13:32] Speaker B: Okay? For the note taking, nerds, this is episode 105 of the accidental Adventures homeward bound dog and. Go on. [00:13:47] Speaker D: This was our favorite movie growing up. [00:13:49] Speaker A: I spelled home wrong. [00:13:50] Speaker B: We did love that movie. [00:13:52] Speaker E: How do you do that wrong? [00:13:53] Speaker D: How do you spell that wrong? [00:13:55] Speaker A: I put a w instead of an m. I thought I was writing upside down. I guess. [00:14:02] Speaker B: Jackie Rose walking down the. And she goes, we are how are bounden. How. Wait till we get home now. Wake up. We just. We all went, yeah, yeah. Take it, Jackie. Was that a genuine question? Was that it? Was that a genuine question? [00:14:36] Speaker A: It's an auto guard. [00:14:38] Speaker B: This is the hundred and fifth episode. Can't you go back and look at every other note? Okay. [00:14:49] Speaker A: The accentures present. [00:14:54] Speaker B: Okay, fun, guys, you sit at the edge. [00:15:04] Speaker A: We don't know. [00:15:05] Speaker C: Jackie. [00:15:06] Speaker B: Wait. What? Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. Level eleven adventure 3488 pb. You don't know about the date? Is that better? [00:15:14] Speaker A: Where's the sun at? [00:15:18] Speaker B: You can't see it. It's just blue sky above. Parties at the edge of the wellspring. What everybody do. I'm taking it all in. [00:15:35] Speaker C: Yeah, probably. Honestly. [00:15:41] Speaker E: I have a micro question. How far did y'all get in the second episode last week? Did y'all spend it mostly covering visions and stuff? [00:15:51] Speaker A: Yeah. Ended at the end of our vision, so now we're all in sync. [00:15:57] Speaker D: Guys, I want to get back in the vault. I want to go back in the vault, guys. I want to go back in the vault. [00:16:04] Speaker A: Is that boss or Landon saying, that's Boz. Okay. [00:16:11] Speaker B: Character voice. Jackie, catch up. [00:16:13] Speaker E: Craig is weeping. Y'all are hugging him. He just died. [00:16:20] Speaker B: Boss is like, hey, can we go back to the vault? [00:16:23] Speaker D: We had simmer down. I thought we were just hanging out now, you know? Like. [00:16:29] Speaker B: I want to establish. This is funnier, though. [00:16:31] Speaker D: I wouldn't have said that if Craig was still weeping, I guess. So I'll just bide my time until. [00:16:35] Speaker E: Wait, what's that word saying that we're. [00:16:38] Speaker C: Just gonna sit, or boss is gonna sit like, oh, my man, I really. [00:16:42] Speaker B: Gotta get to the wall. I'm just imagining Craig's head buried in Boz's sobbing, and Boz, like, sorry, Buddha. And then he's just mouthing to everyone else. Do you guys want to go to the just, like, fault Craig? Boss is leaning over Craig. [00:16:58] Speaker C: He's, like, writing it out. [00:16:59] Speaker B: B a u l t. You have. [00:17:03] Speaker C: Where you can, like, write in the air, and, like, only some people can see it. [00:17:07] Speaker A: He took that spell away, didn't he? [00:17:11] Speaker B: The magical tattoo he paid to have surgically. [00:17:14] Speaker C: I really want to get a magical tattoo. [00:17:16] Speaker D: It took it a ton, guys. I'm not giving it a tummit spot for the ability to write secret messages. [00:17:21] Speaker C: Like this in the game and in for real. [00:17:24] Speaker A: We're like, when can I get another tattoo? [00:17:27] Speaker B: All jokes aside with that party. [00:17:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:29] Speaker C: I think we're surrounding Craig as he sobs. [00:17:32] Speaker D: All right, Craig, let us know when you stop crying. [00:17:38] Speaker E: You wouldn't have said that to me earlier? Um, no, I'm gonna. I go, oh, my gosh. [00:17:48] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. [00:17:48] Speaker E: And then Craig, like, picks up his legs, and he, like, lifts his legs to check and make sure that they're, like, not broken. [00:17:56] Speaker B: They're both. They're both operating very well. [00:17:59] Speaker A: They're both broken. [00:18:00] Speaker E: And then he goes, huh, huh, huh. And he's like, like, laughing and, like. Like, joyful tears, and I'll pour down his face, and he, like, grabs. He. He grabs Baz's face and, like, looks at him. He's like, oh, my gosh. And then he, like, he, like, looks to Greta, and he, like, pokes her in the forehead, and Greta, like, makes. [00:18:26] Speaker C: Really, really big eyes and then blinks. And then he, like, if he reacts. [00:18:33] Speaker E: He, like, like, throws his hand, like, behind and just, like, pulls her into this big bear hug and is like. [00:18:44] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:44] Speaker E: And he. He's just kind of amazed at not being alone anymore. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Awesome. [00:18:51] Speaker E: I'm so happy you're back, Craig. [00:18:53] Speaker C: We're so happy you're here. We're happy you made it. Thank you for making it, Craig. [00:19:00] Speaker E: I feel like Micah and Craig are saying this. My tummy hurts. [00:19:17] Speaker A: Go ahead, Dm. [00:19:19] Speaker B: Okay, Craig, you can see just out of your vision that tello is sitting like, a foot behind, but tears in his eyes, just smiling deeply. And as you're taking everyone in and taking in your environment, Craig, could you give me a perception check? A perkepkin kick. [00:19:33] Speaker E: Another. [00:19:34] Speaker A: Yeah, another one. Another check. [00:19:40] Speaker E: That was so close to being an 18, but it fell to a four. Um. Oh, buddy, with my new stats, okay, it's a five. [00:19:51] Speaker B: Oh, buddy. That is better than it would have. [00:19:54] Speaker C: Used to been, and it's better than it would have beast. [00:19:58] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [00:19:59] Speaker D: He's a writer. Okay, she's a writer, Zach. [00:20:01] Speaker B: I'm part of the union too, now. Okay? I'm part of the union too, now. [00:20:05] Speaker E: You didn't know how to spell accidental. [00:20:06] Speaker C: So this is union on union aggression. [00:20:10] Speaker B: Union on union violence, yes. Uh, okay, Craig, you do not notice anything. [00:20:19] Speaker C: Anyway, can I make a note? [00:20:21] Speaker E: Can I cast guidance on myself? [00:20:24] Speaker B: You take that cantrip. [00:20:26] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. [00:20:27] Speaker E: Yeah, I have that cantripe. [00:20:29] Speaker D: You can cast guide we live in. [00:20:31] Speaker E: Awesome. What if I just gaslight you? I took that cant. You put it, like, never write it down. Oh, that's so. [00:20:40] Speaker B: I truly can't get away from this. [00:20:43] Speaker E: It's one. [00:20:45] Speaker B: Oh. [00:20:51] Speaker D: The. [00:20:51] Speaker B: But the dice. Tell a better story. Well, cool thing. It was. It was DC six. So you succeed because it's noticing something on your own body. So, Craig, what does it look like as you cast for the first time? [00:21:05] Speaker C: Wow. [00:21:06] Speaker A: Wow. [00:21:07] Speaker E: I think as. Oh, you know what? So you know how, like, Greta tried to cast guidance on me, right? I'm gonna say I don't know how I'm gonna work it, but I want to work it to where, like, the joy of, like, being alive. I don't know. I don't know how to explain it. It's like. Like checking on my legs, checking on myself, and just, like, I don't. Do you have to consciously cast guidance? [00:21:42] Speaker B: I mean, yes, but this time, let's say no. [00:21:45] Speaker E: Okay, so I'm gonna say that, like, his concern, I want to say the. The magic of Greta's guidance almost lifts up back from the floor from where it was dusted off. And, like, mixes into what? [00:21:57] Speaker C: Oh, that's. [00:21:58] Speaker B: It. [00:21:58] Speaker E: Mixes in with my guidance. And it's, like, my guidance. Well, normally, I'm like orange, right? Like. No, no, normally it's blue. [00:22:10] Speaker A: She's got to decide her magic colors. [00:22:15] Speaker E: Think it's gotta be blue for. No, wait. No, no. It's been. I don't know, you guys. [00:22:23] Speaker B: Your magic has previously been, like, a dark green and black. And then also. Yeah, it's kind of blue. [00:22:31] Speaker E: When it was old. I'm gonna say it's gone. It's gonna be. It's gonna be blue because I feel like it's just in reference to old. [00:22:38] Speaker B: Do you want it like a navy royal blue or like a cyan blue or like a yemenite sapphire blue? [00:22:43] Speaker E: Dark, like a dark, like, almost blackish blue. [00:22:47] Speaker B: Like a dark greta as the light gold cyan. Sort of wisps of light that come with Aigun's magic, where they had dissipated and fallen moot on Craig's body earlier. As he smiles and cries, it sort of like, whisks back up again and, like, the tears from his cheeks sort of vaporize into a darker, deeper blue, has, like, gold tones of its own from the deep magic. And as they mix together, they, like, sort of waft over him like you've seen guidance do. And then you guys are like, that's funny. And both of you noticed that when that happens, Craig's hand lights up. And Craig, you're like, why is my hand lighting? And then as you pick up your hand in your palm, you have precious gemstone tattooed into your skin in the shape of a maker's symbol across your big, broad palm. [00:23:39] Speaker C: Me too, Jackie? [00:23:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:23:41] Speaker B: And Craig, could you give me a stone cunning trick? [00:23:45] Speaker E: Absolutely. [00:23:52] Speaker B: And you have advantage, and I don't know why, but you have advantage because I can't take one more bad roll for you. The tension's over. I don't care. Anyone. [00:24:00] Speaker C: Okay? [00:24:02] Speaker E: Huh? [00:24:03] Speaker B: Look at those. So cute. [00:24:04] Speaker E: So, stone coming is this is the. [00:24:07] Speaker B: First session we've ever had where Craig. [00:24:09] Speaker E: Has more holes than everyone else. So that's an eight plus 15. That's a 23. Tell me about those stones, DM boy, Craig. [00:24:18] Speaker B: A 23. Not high enough to recognize what this mineral is, but it's high enough to recognize that you've seen it before as you look at the crystal in your palm. A brilliant, deep, opaque, but semi translucent white filled with so many infinite color refractions just in tiny line tracings. It doesn't hurt either. Doesn't hurt like a new tattoo. It feels so perfectly woven into your flesh. It's like the skin cells have turned into gemstone in that pattern. Realize where you saw this before you saw this in the temple, you saw this at the top of those poles in that big room. You couldn't figure out. Oh, my goodness, Jackie, of course you did. I knew you would take legerdemain. I knew. Isn't it the coolest cantrip ever? [00:25:02] Speaker A: Okay, sorry. I wasn't trying. I wasn't trying to. [00:25:06] Speaker B: I know. I'm just. Jackie, I'm not kidding. I literally made that camp for you. But anyway, Craig, as you look at your hand, this is that stone, that incredibly intricate and amazing rare gem that you found at the top of those poles and that unidentified room in the temple. And you don't know what it's from, but it's that same crystal. So somewhere on your character sheet, put funky crystal makers simple hand tattoo for your spellcasting focus. [00:25:41] Speaker E: Okay, so it's. What is a magic foot way? What's it called? A focus. It's like podcasting. [00:25:49] Speaker B: Cold casting focus. [00:25:51] Speaker E: Okay, thank you. [00:25:52] Speaker B: Also, you kicked button. If you get too sleepy to play at any point, feel free to do that. [00:25:56] Speaker E: No, I just. Stomach's going a lot. [00:25:59] Speaker D: I don't know why. [00:26:00] Speaker B: Sorry, Micah. That sucks, buddy. Pepto abysmal. [00:26:04] Speaker E: No. [00:26:06] Speaker B: Baking soda works for me every time. If I mix up baking soda and water and then drink it, I feel immediately better. Every time. Okay, if that's a useful solution. We'll see anyway. We'll see. You guys just watched Craig cast magic. Also, he has a maker symbol made out of brilliant gemstone in his palm. [00:26:26] Speaker C: I think as soon as I see that, I'm like, jump up to my feet, which is probably still about eye level with. [00:26:33] Speaker B: You're only slightly above his eye level now. Yeah. [00:26:35] Speaker C: Gonna grab his shoulders. I'm gonna go. [00:26:41] Speaker E: What? [00:26:41] Speaker B: What? [00:26:41] Speaker E: What. [00:26:44] Speaker B: Did you see? [00:26:45] Speaker E: Did you see that? I was that. Who put that there? Did you put that there? Did you put that there when I was sleeping? [00:26:50] Speaker B: Craig? [00:26:51] Speaker A: No, no, Craig, did you just. [00:26:54] Speaker C: Can you do that again? Do it again. Do it again. She's got, like, her hand on his head, and she's like, do it again. [00:27:02] Speaker E: How. How do I. How do I heirt magic? And he lets out a part instead. [00:27:16] Speaker B: He's, like, straining like an inspiration. [00:27:18] Speaker E: Straining inspiration. [00:27:20] Speaker B: So you all. You all watch as Craig goes and all of his massive muscles flex, and then he goes, and as he farts, he goes. He goes. And then his eyes roll back and his eyes flash gold. The many hundreds of voices in an unknown language utter from his mouth. And his hand flashes with brilliant light right after photo. [00:27:46] Speaker A: That better not be a common occurrence of how you're gonna cast but hold. [00:27:50] Speaker B: On, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Here's the crazy thing. Craig's fart starts wafting up. It smells like, no, there's no stink. [00:28:03] Speaker A: Stop, stop. [00:28:08] Speaker B: His fart smells like fresh forest. [00:28:11] Speaker C: That doesn't get any better. [00:28:12] Speaker B: It's still his fart and it might be awful, but his fart smells like fresh pine forest. [00:28:17] Speaker E: No maker is sprayed pooperie into his intention. [00:28:22] Speaker A: I think Rose still instinctively whistles and tries to press the, and then she's like, wait. [00:28:32] Speaker C: That'S God's fart. [00:28:38] Speaker A: That's a fart from the godsen. [00:28:49] Speaker B: You, you try to, you try to preciate the fart and it goes, be still, my child. [00:28:55] Speaker A: No, no, it doesn't. [00:29:00] Speaker B: It gets preceded. It's just a magical, it's just a magical fart. [00:29:05] Speaker E: Hey, guys, I feel different. [00:29:07] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait. [00:29:08] Speaker E: Watch this. [00:29:11] Speaker A: Breathing. Wait, do you breathe like all the time? [00:29:18] Speaker C: Craig, try and not breathe and see what happens. [00:29:21] Speaker A: Yeah, hold your breath. See how long he can do it for. Oh no, he's turning blue. [00:29:29] Speaker D: Craig, you should. Craig, you might want to. Oh, I mean, I think we only. [00:29:33] Speaker A: Have one diamond left, so breathe, man. [00:29:36] Speaker B: Craig diese. All right, DC has gone up now. [00:29:41] Speaker A: Oh no, guys from olden spread. [00:29:46] Speaker E: Wow. Why are y'all not dead? [00:29:52] Speaker D: Cause we're just better than. [00:29:54] Speaker A: You're not dead either, Greg. [00:29:56] Speaker C: That's a silly, silly question. [00:29:59] Speaker A: Did you guys all meet, you know. [00:30:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:06] Speaker D: Who? [00:30:07] Speaker E: Y'all met the maker? [00:30:08] Speaker A: Five. [00:30:11] Speaker E: Y'all met the maker? [00:30:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I think so. [00:30:15] Speaker A: And I saw, I saw things I don't even know how to explain, guys. [00:30:21] Speaker C: I didn't exactly meet him, but I heard him. [00:30:23] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, same, I guess it was. [00:30:25] Speaker D: Like I saw him. [00:30:28] Speaker A: It was like the most beautiful thing. [00:30:30] Speaker B: I do ever seen. No, but that also feels like pause. Please continue with your powerful and important character role play. Jackie. [00:30:39] Speaker A: It was like the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. But I don't know if I could ever truly describe what it was. It was vast and what's. [00:30:50] Speaker D: So. [00:30:51] Speaker B: I really want to have this moment and I have to stop interrupting it. But what's popping in my head right now is that Snl skit about the people who get abducted into the ship. And it's really beautiful for two and terrible for one. And I'm just imagining like Greta and robo being like, it was amazing and beautiful. And then Craig being like, I fell into a bunch of rocks and my legs broke. [00:31:11] Speaker A: Yes. Oh my gosh, it's so like that. [00:31:15] Speaker B: It's so perfect. [00:31:16] Speaker E: I love that skit, by the way. [00:31:18] Speaker A: Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon, and Yaz. [00:31:21] Speaker C: I saw. That's a really good idea. I saw birds die, like, twice. It kept happening. [00:31:32] Speaker A: I was in, like, an ocean, and I saw other worlds. [00:31:39] Speaker C: Wow. [00:31:40] Speaker A: I think. I don't really know. They were, like, light and sparkly and. I don't know. [00:31:50] Speaker D: Maybe that's what this world could become. [00:31:52] Speaker E: And then crushed by rocks and then. [00:31:57] Speaker A: Had to drag itself. Yeah, I think something went a little wrong because we didn't have to use the diamond on any of the rest of us. But I'm glad you're here now. Maybe it may. You know, they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. So I've heard. That's a saying that someone said before, probably. [00:32:21] Speaker D: I bet you're right. [00:32:24] Speaker E: I think I just don't feel so purposeless anymore. [00:32:27] Speaker C: Oh, that's awesome, Kai. [00:32:29] Speaker E: And I think it was worth it. [00:32:32] Speaker C: That's terrible. [00:32:36] Speaker E: Well, I don't know. It's no sparkly oceans or anything, so. Kidding. [00:32:41] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:32:42] Speaker E: I'm really glad you all had good experiences. [00:32:44] Speaker C: Did you see bones? Hello. [00:32:48] Speaker B: No. Tell. No, that's fine. I wasn't talking. Haha. Very funny. He just stands all the way up, and he goes, stop messing up with me. Oh, my goodness. My frog is over. And he, like, leans down and touches it, and he goes, wow, that is a good look for me. [00:33:19] Speaker C: And what is he. [00:33:20] Speaker B: Where is he looking in the mirror? Ro is holding up. And then he goes, wow, that's crazy. I literally thought I couldn't get any hotter. Whoa. [00:33:31] Speaker E: I didn't think so either. [00:33:34] Speaker B: And then he looks at Craig, and he goes, ah, there's Michael. And then he goes, Craig, do you know you have gold on your face now, too? [00:33:41] Speaker E: Well, no. [00:33:43] Speaker B: Maybe we should just pass the mirror around to everybody. [00:33:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that's fine. Just don't break it. I heard it's bad luck or something. [00:33:50] Speaker B: And as the mirrors pass around, the one physical alteration I did not describe is that Boz has also had that whole, like, you know, multicolored diamond dust thing going on. And also his hair now is. It's all of the colors of the seasons all throughout his hair. And all of the leaves are in different stage of, like, growth. [00:34:14] Speaker E: Oh, you see bald in some spots for winter. [00:34:17] Speaker B: No. And boss is like, wow, it's amazing. He leans forward, and you guys just see a big bald spot in the middle of some snow. [00:34:27] Speaker D: I didn't think I could get any hotter either. [00:34:35] Speaker B: Inspiration. [00:34:36] Speaker D: Yay. [00:34:37] Speaker B: But also canonically, boss. No, there's no bald spot. It looks really good. Okay. [00:34:42] Speaker D: My hair has changed colors twice now today. [00:34:47] Speaker C: Wow. [00:34:48] Speaker B: It's the fancy role playing Jackie wishes she could have. [00:34:51] Speaker A: It's the what DM. [00:34:54] Speaker E: What is the. [00:34:56] Speaker A: What did he say? [00:34:57] Speaker B: Wait, what did my cat calm down say to me? [00:35:01] Speaker A: About what? [00:35:02] Speaker E: I thought he was gonna go to. [00:35:03] Speaker B: The fantasy roleplay that you wish you could have because the hair color is constantly changing. It was a joke. What do you guys need? Because we should progress the episode. [00:35:09] Speaker C: I have. Can I, can I make an edit to Greta's physical goldness appearance? [00:35:14] Speaker B: Yeah, do it. [00:35:15] Speaker C: Can I say that after the, after the divisions and after waking up, her hair that used to be like, kind of like brown with like, graying streaks is now just like, like long and like white or like completely like a mottled gray. [00:35:35] Speaker B: I like that. [00:35:36] Speaker C: Like, she was really looking like an old woman, but there's like the, like, like her roots and it's like, you know, like there's little bits of gold. [00:35:46] Speaker B: Yeah, I love that. I love that idea. I think that's great. [00:35:50] Speaker A: As ro as, like, they pass the mirror back to Ro and she puts the mirror down after looking too. She goes, guys, we've always been like, kind of a weird, like, motley crew of misfits, but we kind of. [00:36:08] Speaker E: We. [00:36:08] Speaker A: Kind of all, like, fit together now. Like, we've become family. We've become family, you know, obviously emotionally and everything. But now it's like, yeah, I just, I've never. Besides balls, you know, I'd never seen someone that looked like me. But now it's like we all have like this physical looking connection. [00:36:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:36:39] Speaker B: Hella's just smiling. [00:36:41] Speaker A: Really wide experience. It's beautiful. [00:36:46] Speaker C: Maybe we should get some, some fancier clothes to match our new fancy face. [00:36:52] Speaker B: I was going to say matching tattoos, but I like fancy clothes too. [00:36:55] Speaker A: Oh, tallow. I like that idea. Wait, guys, wait. [00:36:59] Speaker D: Y'all wanna go back to Portland? Sock? Cause we can go right now. [00:37:02] Speaker A: Greta, you give me. Greta, you give me a really good idea. And row. Right now, ro, like, plays a little thing. And her glamour studded armor that's always had like little like, like kind of brass, like studs and stuff on it, and sparkles now has gold to match. [00:37:21] Speaker C: Awesome, Jackie. [00:37:22] Speaker A: So it's like the purple and gray and green leather, but it has like gold trim. [00:37:28] Speaker C: Very nice. Very nice. [00:37:31] Speaker D: I'm not joking. We could go back to port spoon. [00:37:33] Speaker A: What do you mean? [00:37:34] Speaker D: I can make us. If you walk in one of those trees. If we don't die, we'll get the port responsible. [00:37:39] Speaker A: If we don't. [00:37:42] Speaker B: What do you mean, walk into a tree? [00:37:44] Speaker D: I can touch a tree and go anywhere in the world now. [00:37:48] Speaker A: I'm sorry. When did you get this ability? [00:37:52] Speaker D: This morning. [00:37:55] Speaker A: Wow. [00:37:55] Speaker B: Dang it. Lantern, fourth wall. I have a hammer tree. [00:38:00] Speaker D: Look, I can only do it once. [00:38:02] Speaker B: A day, so if we go, it's. [00:38:03] Speaker D: Gonna be like a day trip. [00:38:05] Speaker A: No, are you gonna, like. Are you gonna mess with us? So, like, you say, like, oh, run into this tree, and then we all bump our heads? [00:38:11] Speaker E: That's what I'm saying. [00:38:14] Speaker D: I don't know if it worked. Can I do an arcana check to see if I'll die if I try to do this? Zachary. [00:38:21] Speaker A: We'Re in the Westwood. [00:38:22] Speaker D: This is a Westwood tree. Zack, you're scared out of the Westwood? [00:38:26] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe. [00:38:27] Speaker D: I don't know how to get out of the Westwood. I'm trying to hit the escape. [00:38:30] Speaker A: I heard if you follow some weirdly yellow bricked road. [00:38:35] Speaker C: I run over and I get my little end, and I say, this guy can help us. He led me here. He can help. [00:38:43] Speaker B: Did you define. Did you get my little friend for me? [00:38:46] Speaker D: That's when he. [00:38:48] Speaker C: I run over. [00:38:49] Speaker B: Okay, before we get to that, okay, what's your total, boss? [00:38:51] Speaker D: The total. It's insight. Or is it Arcana? It's Arcana. [00:38:54] Speaker B: Arcana. [00:38:55] Speaker D: Okay. And forgive me, is it. Is it proficient to your expertise in arcana with the deep magic subclasses? [00:39:02] Speaker B: Proficiency. [00:39:04] Speaker D: All right, so I already had proficiency in arcana, so thanks for that. [00:39:09] Speaker B: 25 means you can pick a new proficiency. [00:39:12] Speaker A: Wait, does that not mean that he gets expertise now? [00:39:15] Speaker B: No, it means he can pick an additional proficiency. [00:39:17] Speaker D: Oh. [00:39:18] Speaker B: What did you get, boss? [00:39:19] Speaker D: I got a 25. [00:39:22] Speaker B: Nice. Okay, that 20. Very cool. Good session for boss, boz. Yeah, you can't think why it would kill you. And in fact, one of the deep roots of your people transported you through a tree at the edge of the Westwood when you first came to zedge. You feel very confident you would be fine. [00:39:38] Speaker D: All right, guys, where y'all want to go? I can take us anywhere you want. Anywhere at all. We're supposed to go meet shpaguba. [00:39:44] Speaker B: As boss says that, um, greta, you run up to your record and you get him. [00:39:48] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:39:48] Speaker B: Visually define getting him for me, I'm gonna. [00:39:53] Speaker C: You know how, like, you, like, walk around a cat to, like, try and get into the right position where you can reach down, scoop him up. I'm gonna, like, kind of do that a little bit, and then I'm gonna. [00:40:02] Speaker B: As you tread up and get toward his back, he just rotates around, looking up at you, and his ears are, like, kind of flat to the sides. Cause raccoons don't do back. They do flat to the side. And the tail puffs up and he's just gone looking at you. Quit talking and moving. What's everyone else doing? [00:40:26] Speaker D: We could go. We could go to Zedge. We're already in Zedge. We could go to. We could go. [00:40:33] Speaker E: I don't know, Mandy. [00:40:45] Speaker D: Yes, yes. [00:40:47] Speaker C: We could go back to the tree. To Tesha. Sir, Tesha lives in a tree. [00:40:53] Speaker A: You mean in home cove? Like, back in home? Aren't we kind of, like, wanted in the earth and bloom, you guys? [00:41:01] Speaker E: Oh, we're still wanted. [00:41:05] Speaker D: No, Kevkins took over Porus blenny saw, didn't they? They didn't take it over. Porosity son is safe because the Kafkins didn't run it out. [00:41:19] Speaker A: You know, that still doesn't mean that there's, like, some kevs there. [00:41:23] Speaker B: Balls. [00:41:24] Speaker D: All right, so I'm taking us somewhere with a tree, and everywhere else other than Zedge is a bad place for the. To be with kefk. [00:41:31] Speaker A: Everywhere. [00:41:33] Speaker D: The least bad place to go. [00:41:35] Speaker A: Wait, what time is it? Wait, wait, wait. God. [00:41:37] Speaker B: Don't know. [00:41:38] Speaker D: I don't know what time it is. [00:41:40] Speaker A: Hold on. Balls. Balls, balls, balls, balls. [00:41:44] Speaker D: Boss, that's crank. [00:41:46] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait. Is it? Guys, do you think it's nighttime in parsage? [00:41:53] Speaker C: Why would it be nighttime? And parsid. [00:41:54] Speaker D: That's the worst place. That's the worst place we could go. [00:41:58] Speaker A: Listen, if it's nighttime, we found out we could, like, you know, we found out that, like, our yellow burn is like. Like the sun sets earlier in some places. [00:42:11] Speaker B: Remember? [00:42:13] Speaker C: I always thought it was in the shape of. [00:42:15] Speaker D: Did you smoke some of the leaves or something here? No, because I don't understand what you're saying. [00:42:20] Speaker B: Oz. [00:42:21] Speaker A: I'm the only one in this party that always knows the time. Can you please trust me on this? [00:42:28] Speaker D: You don't know the time right now. [00:42:29] Speaker A: I know the time right now because this forest is messing with my head. [00:42:34] Speaker D: So let's. Okay. Do we want to go to the vault first? Vault first? [00:42:39] Speaker C: The vault? [00:42:40] Speaker A: What vault? This isn't the fallout universe. [00:42:43] Speaker D: I turn to Craig and I say, craig, would you like to vault with me? [00:42:49] Speaker A: What are you guys talking about? [00:42:51] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. So flattered that you would ask me. [00:42:56] Speaker D: All right, let's go. [00:42:58] Speaker E: No, let's go. [00:43:02] Speaker D: Me and Craig start walking to the vault. [00:43:04] Speaker B: Excellent. [00:43:06] Speaker A: You know what they're talking about. [00:43:09] Speaker E: All of you. To assume I know where we're going. [00:43:12] Speaker C: They're. [00:43:12] Speaker B: Why? [00:43:12] Speaker D: No, where I'm going. [00:43:14] Speaker A: Oh, what is the vault? [00:43:16] Speaker C: It's that big place with all the book. [00:43:19] Speaker A: The place that we were in. In the Westwood? [00:43:23] Speaker C: Yeah, I think so. [00:43:24] Speaker A: So we're just going back like 30ft? [00:43:28] Speaker C: Yeah, we'll follow my record, man. [00:43:30] Speaker B: You do remember that was at least five days travel away from here. But could be more, could be less. [00:43:35] Speaker D: Oh, could I just tree myself over there? [00:43:40] Speaker C: Go to Boss Buzz. I want to go to. [00:43:41] Speaker A: And can you take. [00:43:42] Speaker B: You could certainly. [00:43:44] Speaker A: That's me being cry. [00:43:45] Speaker B: You know, that would be difficult in the Westwood, but you could. You are a powerful druid and a druid of the first flame. You could certainly try. [00:43:53] Speaker D: All right, guys, here's the try. [00:43:54] Speaker A: I could. [00:43:55] Speaker D: I could try to tree us over to the vault that Ro has forgotten about, but there's a chance it could just plop us out anywhere in the Westwood and we'd have to wait a whole day to try again. [00:44:06] Speaker C: We can always walk. [00:44:09] Speaker A: Her little friend. [00:44:11] Speaker D: What are you talking about? [00:44:13] Speaker A: Her little friend can show up. [00:44:15] Speaker D: Can I do a medicine check on Robert? All right. [00:44:25] Speaker A: Pointing at the raccoons from night next to Greta. [00:44:29] Speaker B: From right next to Greta, the raccoon is like sitting and then. And then its eyes kind of like go together a little bit and it's like its fur puffs up and it sits up, squats down and just starts pooping a lot. And they're biggest and just like a little. [00:44:41] Speaker D: I got a 15. I got a 15 on my medicine. [00:44:43] Speaker A: Check to digitate the poo to distinguish. [00:44:47] Speaker E: Hi, Cass. [00:44:48] Speaker B: Guidance. [00:44:49] Speaker A: Oh, you can't present heat exhaustion. [00:44:51] Speaker D: I bet. I bet it's heat exhaustion. [00:44:52] Speaker A: Okay. [00:44:53] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Guys, let me Dm. Landon, 15. What are you trying to discern if. [00:44:58] Speaker D: She'S okay or if I need to, like, be concerned. [00:45:01] Speaker B: Yeah, no, 15. She's. She's not suffering from any medical or mental ailments at the moment. [00:45:05] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [00:45:10] Speaker B: Ro, you discover that. Yes, thank you, Micah. Very true. Ro, you discover that you can precipitate dirt and fecal installed. But let me tell you, as a wildlife biologist with a lot of experience with raccoons, that's a lot of poop. And you find that one presidigitation does not have. Does not get rid of it. And you find you just sit there and just whistle and whistle and whistle and whistle. And it takes like five or six prestidigitations before it's all gone. [00:45:34] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm okay with that. He's it. [00:45:38] Speaker C: I hope that this isn't too much ro. Because if he's gonna be my pet, he will probably poop more. I heard that's the thing that pets do. No, maybe. [00:45:47] Speaker A: I mean, his cuteness. His cuteness totally outweighs the fact that I have to clean up his poop, so I'm okay with that. [00:45:53] Speaker E: Also. [00:45:54] Speaker C: What I think, I've never seen raccoon with so many stripes and his eyes. [00:45:57] Speaker A: I know. He makes me want to go. [00:46:00] Speaker C: Oh, he does. He makes me want to go. [00:46:03] Speaker B: And importantly, I'd like to canonize this description. It's a very large, old male raccoon. It looks old. It's got gray on its muzzle, and the brown stripes do go all the way up its body to its neck. It is fully. [00:46:15] Speaker A: Greta. Greta. [00:46:17] Speaker C: Yes. [00:46:17] Speaker E: Greta. [00:46:18] Speaker A: Would you mind if I asked him what his name was? No, no, don't ask him. [00:46:23] Speaker C: No, don't talk to him. [00:46:25] Speaker A: Why don't, why don't you have to respect his privacy? [00:46:29] Speaker C: That's the other. [00:46:30] Speaker A: He doesn't want to tell me that. I won't push, but why? [00:46:33] Speaker B: Don't ask it. [00:46:34] Speaker D: I hate it. People try to talk to me while I'm pooping, so just leave him be right now, bro. [00:46:38] Speaker C: I just think that it would be so much better if, if we didn't talk to him. [00:46:44] Speaker D: I just think that Craig. [00:46:45] Speaker C: I think if we talk to him, maybe he'd be mean. [00:46:49] Speaker B: Craig, look at. [00:46:50] Speaker C: Do you think that. Look, do you think that he wants to talk to me? And I reach down and try and, like, pick him up? [00:46:54] Speaker B: No, as you try to, as you. Okay, I am going to dm. Oh, my goodness. Holy cow. As you reach down and try and try and pick him up, he's just like. Like, snaps and growls at you and bites, and then as ro go, I've got it. And goes to pin him down. Oh, you already said you're doing it, and I'm just wearing a little thing, so we're gonna give him. [00:47:18] Speaker A: I said, I crouched down, and I say in common, what I was trying to say is I crouch down, and I say in common to the raccoon, would you like to speak or in rose voice, would you like to speak, little guy? [00:47:33] Speaker B: Okay. [00:47:34] Speaker A: That's what I did. I never tried to touch them. [00:47:37] Speaker B: What's your ac? [00:47:38] Speaker A: Row 13. [00:47:40] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. I rolled a 13. Give me an athletics check. [00:47:44] Speaker D: Turkeys all over again, literally am supposed. [00:47:47] Speaker A: To be able to be connected with animals, and they're always at target. [00:47:50] Speaker D: You're not a druid. You're not a druid. [00:47:55] Speaker B: You've had all sorts of magical interactions with animals. Calm down. You've had one bad one with a turkey, and this record is clearly. [00:48:01] Speaker A: What am I rolling for an athletics check. Well, I just rolled the nat 20, baby. Okay, but that's because it's minus two. [00:48:12] Speaker B: The raccoon rolled in that one. So what does it look like as the. As the raccoon lunges at you to try and pin you to the ground after you talk to it? And you absolutely keep as you. You absolutely pin this fool? What does that look like? [00:48:25] Speaker A: I. I just do a little skippity hop. Like, it looks very cute and irishy leprechaun and very melodic dance thing. I just jump back and I go, okay, I understand. [00:48:38] Speaker B: I don't understand how that flavoring has anything to do with that extract. But you got a nat 20, and I'll respect that. So you skip dance out of the way, and the raccoon just lunges after you. [00:48:46] Speaker A: Because I thought my athletic. Check. [00:48:48] Speaker B: Pause. What were you doing with Craig 3000 years ago? [00:48:50] Speaker A: Wait, I thought. [00:48:51] Speaker B: I was trying to. [00:48:51] Speaker D: I'm trying to make a plan on what our next move is, is the fun guys legendary adventurer. [00:48:55] Speaker B: Okay, excellent. Also, at this point, Craig and Boz are walking away with tello, and Ro and Greta are standing in place playing with the raccoon. [00:49:03] Speaker A: Well, that's the obvious choice. The right choice. [00:49:06] Speaker B: Tell the raccoon. [00:49:08] Speaker D: Hello. I have a question. [00:49:09] Speaker B: Yellow. I'm definitely here. What's going on? [00:49:12] Speaker D: So did you, like, change your, like, skill set when you jumped into the well thing? [00:49:18] Speaker B: I'm not exactly sure what you mean. [00:49:20] Speaker D: Like, are you gold now? So that means, like, did you see God? [00:49:27] Speaker B: I've always been gold. [00:49:31] Speaker D: I do. I feel like we kind of have some secrets at the vault area that we could find out. That would be fun, but. [00:49:38] Speaker B: Okay, let's do this, guys. Let's do this. We've all had the most incredible experience of my life, which is really saying something at this point, but also very intense. Craig was not alive there for a second. Really glad you're okay, bud. Squeezes your shoulder. Let's come up with two reasonable options, maybe. Okay, we have. We have going. [00:49:58] Speaker D: Sorry. [00:49:58] Speaker B: To the vault. No, no, go ahead, boss. [00:50:00] Speaker D: I wanted to go to the vault because I remembered that Greta didn't get a chance to scramble around as much as she wanted, and I wanted to make sure she could scramble if she so desired. But I don't necessarily need to go there. Could also go to port Splinter. We thought, be cool to go to Magic Lane. [00:50:19] Speaker B: We have options. We have option two, ports on this. On. Does everybody feel like that's a good option for the vote? [00:50:25] Speaker A: I don't think going to see a hag is a good idea. [00:50:28] Speaker D: That's right. We can talk about it. [00:50:31] Speaker B: Was that brother? [00:50:31] Speaker C: What about and his? [00:50:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:50:35] Speaker B: Option three, somewhere near Spaguber. How do we feel about those three options? [00:50:39] Speaker D: I don't know. A tree near spaguber though. I don't know. I can't take us there. [00:50:44] Speaker B: Micah. Just jump in. Jump in. [00:50:47] Speaker E: Well, okay. Well, we're supposed to drop old off in a well. I don't even know if. Is this old. I don't know. [00:50:53] Speaker A: Anyways. [00:50:54] Speaker E: An ocean. [00:50:55] Speaker A: Yay. [00:50:57] Speaker E: So, um, does it matter we schedule that in? [00:51:01] Speaker B: I don't know. He asked you to drop him off near the sapphire desert. Oh, okay. [00:51:11] Speaker E: So we should probably think about that a little bit. I'm down for a little side quest. [00:51:20] Speaker A: Hey, balls. [00:51:20] Speaker E: I'm gonna go to Portland. [00:51:23] Speaker A: If I. If I am understanding correctly about your newfound tree magic. What if you and I. This is like a little bit down the line, right? But what if you and I, like, took some time and, you know, really focused on our, you know, little plant growth thing when we're back on the ship? And what if we, like, grew a tree on the ship that we could go back to only if the tree. [00:52:01] Speaker D: Was okay with being planted there. I don't want to just like a tree. [00:52:04] Speaker A: I think it would be because we grew it there. We grow it there. If we work together for like 8 hours, I think we can do it like we did in parsing. [00:52:13] Speaker D: It's a big. It's hard for a plant to live on the ocean. [00:52:16] Speaker A: Yeah, but I'll try. Grown by you and I. [00:52:20] Speaker D: Just because it's magic doesn't mean it doesn't have a will. [00:52:23] Speaker A: Y'all see about how cool it would be if there was a tree on the poor bed? [00:52:27] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [00:52:29] Speaker A: And we could just go back and forth to the poor bed all the time because there's this lovely, beautiful flourishing tree on the poor bait. Maybe we could even. We can even grow it. [00:52:42] Speaker C: Listen, we could definitely ask for guber for permission. [00:52:45] Speaker A: We in the pit of the ship, like the bay, you know, the bottom, and then thing carve a hole through it. No, listen, this is a great idea. On top of the tree. On as it like a third. [00:53:01] Speaker D: I'm about to make a decision, and. [00:53:02] Speaker A: Nom and Nom can live in that treehouse. [00:53:05] Speaker C: Oh, nom would love that. [00:53:07] Speaker A: I've been really thinking about this a long time. I mean, since I found out about your. Your tree abilities, which was just a few minutes ago, actually. But I feel like I've been thinking about it a long time. [00:53:21] Speaker D: I can't take us to spiguber. I've never touched a tree where spiguber is. Therefore, I cannot take us there. [00:53:28] Speaker C: You have to have touched it, boss. [00:53:29] Speaker D: I have to have touched a tree. Now I could take us to portable nissan. It's going to be way out. Like, it's going to be a day's travel from port resplendency salt, because there's no trees in the city. Um, the only time I touched a tree out there is when we were doing surveillance, so it's going to take another day to get back to the city. You know, I could take us to home cove. I don't think that's a good idea. I could take us to the lost lands. That'd be fun. [00:53:57] Speaker A: I'd like to go there. [00:53:59] Speaker D: I know, but I just feel like we should get back to. I don't know. I don't know. [00:54:03] Speaker A: Okay. [00:54:03] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. [00:54:04] Speaker E: Okay. [00:54:04] Speaker C: Okay. Here's. This is my proposed. This is my greta. [00:54:07] Speaker D: I'm afraid he's gonna break up with us eventually. We don't go back. [00:54:10] Speaker A: Nah. [00:54:11] Speaker C: Um. So we're. All right. What if we. Here's my plan. Hear me? Okay. What if we get back to beguber, we sail south a little bit. Get back to goober. However that. We sail south into the sapphire desert. What if we made a stop? [00:54:36] Speaker A: We. [00:54:36] Speaker C: Sandal. [00:54:37] Speaker A: You got cut out for, like, 5 seconds. [00:54:43] Speaker C: We go to Swiguber, we sail south. We drop it in this. In the sapphire desert. And I'll say, when she's talking about this, Greta takes out her book, and she shows, like, a world map, and it shows the sapphire desert. And then there's, like, a clump of islands off the coast of which you. [00:54:59] Speaker B: Guys can totally pick up. Pull up in the maps channel. [00:55:01] Speaker D: All right. Okay. Here's what I'm gonna do. [00:55:03] Speaker A: Wait, wait, wait. [00:55:04] Speaker D: Give me a sending stone. I know what I'm doing. [00:55:06] Speaker B: Abby was. Abby was definitely trying to say something for Abby. [00:55:11] Speaker C: We throw old into the sapphire desert. We make a stop at Sandor. And this would be for me, but that's where my. That's where I live. Well, maybe not. She's a goddess. That's where her order lives. We could stop there just to peek at it. They probably have some spells that would be good for everyone. And then we could sail around. We could sail. We could either sail around the coast to get to his shoss. Or we could walk. We could travel on foot from the, from the west coast of that blob and then walk. And that's where hags are. That's where we have the. That's where the stone is that we need to get from for Baba Yaga. [00:55:49] Speaker A: We ever make a decision on that? [00:55:52] Speaker D: Let's go back. Let's go to the lost lands before we go to his shots. Because I feel like it'd be nice to see them because I feel like there's a good chance I die in his shots. I don't know if I get tough thing. I love to see my family before that happens. [00:56:07] Speaker C: That's fair. [00:56:08] Speaker A: I don't want to go anywhere where there's a good chance one of us is going to die. I mean, I know we don't see the daily, but I don't like the way you're seeing. [00:56:17] Speaker B: Here's the thing. [00:56:17] Speaker D: I don't have to touch a plant. I just have to see it. So if I have a sending stone, I can call spaguber and say, hey, go to us. Look at a tree. And then I can scry on him and look at the tree and then I can go there. Where did the DM go? Because I need him for this. [00:56:33] Speaker B: The DM playing with his cat very close by and listening to. [00:56:36] Speaker D: Okay. Okay. [00:56:37] Speaker B: That is. That is absolutely an improved strategy we've discussed. [00:56:39] Speaker D: Hello. Can I borrow your sending stone? [00:56:42] Speaker C: So wait, what's the plan, Boz? [00:56:44] Speaker B: When I was my senior, stone connects directly to the count. You guys have the one that goes to everybody and it's usually in Greg's mouth. And I really love don't contact the count again. That was. [00:56:57] Speaker D: I will not do that again. I'm. Yeah, he was. He was smelly. I could smell him from the sky. Um, Greta, I liked your plan. I just want to switch the last two places around and go to lost lands after visiting time and not time your God ladies place. And then we go to his shots. Do you want to do lost lands before God Bladey? [00:57:19] Speaker C: I think. I think that I'll see if I can find someone to talk to at the order. It's kind of like mysterious and strange, but I feel like it might be a safe place to dock our boat. I've never been there. I don't know. I'll see if there's anything in my notes, but I'll see if. I'll ask. But I think first we should get to the goober and I can do research there. [00:57:44] Speaker A: And boss, is it okay if I ask Spanish Goober, about the whole tree thing when we see him. [00:57:49] Speaker D: Sure. I mean, you don't mind if I could ask him? I like to ask him. I can handle that. [00:57:55] Speaker A: Can I go with. Can I be there when you ask him? Yes, because I can help you grow the tree faster. I'm just saying. I know, I know a little bit with the plants, you know? [00:58:06] Speaker D: Yeah, no, you're really good plants. You're super. Like, I was really impressed when I saw your plant. [00:58:10] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:58:11] Speaker A: I really. I appreciate that. [00:58:13] Speaker D: I grabbed the stone out of Craig's mouth and Craig's going, guys, I don't. [00:58:20] Speaker B: Have to go, like, drop it, etch, and he'll wait. [00:58:24] Speaker C: I have a question. [00:58:26] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Yes. [00:58:28] Speaker C: Never mind, never mind. [00:58:29] Speaker D: I call spagubra on the phone. Yellow there, friend. [00:58:36] Speaker B: There is no pause. Immediately back, you hear a voice. Go save the darts from you and forever. How's it going, buddy? [00:58:44] Speaker D: It's going really good. We're alive. [00:58:49] Speaker A: That's great. [00:58:51] Speaker D: Can you go stand next to a tree for me? [00:58:53] Speaker A: Is there one nearby? [00:58:57] Speaker D: What day is it? [00:58:59] Speaker B: Oh, man. Did you say a tree? [00:59:02] Speaker D: Yes. Are you near a tree? [00:59:05] Speaker B: Well, I can see one. I can go walk to it. [00:59:08] Speaker D: How far away is it? [00:59:11] Speaker B: Man, I'd say, like, probably sort of like, man, I'm a really good cat. [00:59:18] Speaker D: Is it less than a day's journey? [00:59:21] Speaker B: I don't know for sure. I think if I had the gas, I'd say it's like 900ft away, but it could be a thousand. [00:59:27] Speaker D: That's all right. I'm going to scry on you real quick. Hold steady. [00:59:32] Speaker B: And then you hear the. How did the sound of him going? [00:59:35] Speaker D: All right, I cast scry. [00:59:37] Speaker B: I'm not that good card. Yeah. Okay. [00:59:40] Speaker D: And I look at Goober and you choose to fail. Whatever energy comes at you to. No, I'm actually choose to fail. I can spry on him. [00:59:50] Speaker B: You just, you hear just. I don't know what that means. I got. Okay, how many spaghetti. [00:59:56] Speaker D: All right. I cry on shpiguber. [00:59:59] Speaker B: So. Yes, but he has deductions because you're ridiculously familiar with him. [01:00:05] Speaker D: I think negative 14 is the deduction. [01:00:09] Speaker B: 14. [01:00:10] Speaker A: Did he say what day it was? [01:00:12] Speaker D: He did not say what day it was. [01:00:15] Speaker B: He has a negative four to his save or no negative five to his save. [01:00:21] Speaker A: Harsh bagoobs. [01:00:23] Speaker B: Well, because you guys know him really well. [01:00:25] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Duhdhheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh that's not his norm. [01:00:31] Speaker B: So, yeah, he got a six. So, boz, as you. Wait, do you have a crying focus? [01:00:39] Speaker D: I am the scrying focus. [01:00:43] Speaker B: No, no, no. Hold on, hold on. I think scry specifically has a material cost component, right? [01:00:47] Speaker D: Yeah, but my staff worked as the focus. It just requires a really nice focus is all it does. You just have to have a focus that's worth a lot of money. And you said that the staff worked the last time I did it. [01:01:01] Speaker B: Yeah, but the staff is destroyed and you're. You count, remember, you count as non material components for your casting focus. We have to have a focus worth at least a thousand gold. A crystal ball. Don't you guys have the crystal scrying orb you got from the hags? No. [01:01:19] Speaker C: Yeah, let me check. [01:01:20] Speaker B: Are you sure? [01:01:23] Speaker C: No, we do. [01:01:23] Speaker B: Pretty damn confident you do. [01:01:25] Speaker D: I don't have it. [01:01:25] Speaker B: No, I have it. [01:01:26] Speaker C: It's in my inventory. [01:01:28] Speaker B: Okay, so never mind, Boz, you're fine. If you ask, Greta can easily supply you with a scrawling one. [01:01:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:01:34] Speaker B: Okay, remember when you guys, when you guys went to the crater in the east, you found that old hag hovel and you found a scrying orb there? [01:01:42] Speaker C: It's in my inventory. [01:01:43] Speaker D: Okay. [01:01:44] Speaker A: Is it okay to use that? [01:01:46] Speaker B: Never mind. Boggling. [01:01:48] Speaker D: Okay. I just want to look at a tree. [01:01:50] Speaker B: That's all the checks. It's definitely just a scrying orb. You can. Boz, you're holding the scrying orb, and as you, as you hold it in your hand, you all watch Boz's eyes flash kind of white. And then there's like, like sort of like, like these increasingly fast flashes of like every color in the rainbow, just like in his eyes. And as his eyes kind of roll black, it turns. Roll back, it turns into this kind of like just stream of strobing color. And the ball pulses with a similar light. And then an image forms in the sphere and you guys can see what Boz is seeing. And Boz, your vision melts together in a series of colors. And then it reveals itself to depict an overhead view from maybe 30ft up of this lush high grass countryside with these like tall green golden grasses. And running absolutely Tom cruise sprinting it, except much less dexterously and cool with much more flailing and occasional trips, is a short cotton blonde dwarf with an open vest and a cotton white shirt and his brown pantaloons in his boots, just running through the grass that's up at his shoulder height. He's going, I'm gonna get there for a boss. And he just falls over. He goes, it's okay. And he pops up. Adventurer. And then he's running through the grass and there's this like small log, like fire log. And no bigger in the way. Okay. And he like, does like a, like a little side jump, slide over the car, move over this log that he definitely could have just stepped over. And he trips on it and falls and rolls and he gets up and he goes, still really cool. And he runs and he has to stop and breathe. And then he runs and he stops and breathes and then he gets to this really big tree. It's really tall pine tree. You all see him and I sever. You get this funny reverb moment. You get this funny reverb moment because you're scrying, watching him. And you watch him pick up the stone and you watch him. Word. This is big fish the eagle. I have reached the tree. And then you hear a moment later in the stone, but you can say that. [01:04:00] Speaker D: Awesome. Alright, guys, y'all ready to go? Are we gonna go meet her now? Craig, are you okay with that? Craig? [01:04:09] Speaker B: Yes. [01:04:10] Speaker A: Wait. [01:04:11] Speaker D: All right. [01:04:11] Speaker A: Is Greta okay with not going to. [01:04:14] Speaker D: The, this is Greta's plan. [01:04:17] Speaker A: The library? [01:04:19] Speaker D: This is Greta's plan? [01:04:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. [01:04:22] Speaker C: That's all. [01:04:23] Speaker D: Starts crying. [01:04:24] Speaker B: Is Greta okay with this? This is Greta's plan. [01:04:29] Speaker A: God's plan. [01:04:32] Speaker D: Boz. Yes. [01:04:35] Speaker C: No, go ahead. Did. My actions depend on your action. So I need you to take your action and then I will take my action. Okay. [01:04:40] Speaker D: I touch tree and cast transport via plants at the 6th level. [01:04:46] Speaker B: And I don't want to bog us down, but pause. What does it look like as you cast your first ever six level spell that is not only your first ever six level spell, but the most important heritage spell of your peachel, of your peeper. [01:05:01] Speaker D: The most heritage spell of my peeper. I love this. My favorite peeper spell. [01:05:11] Speaker B: Cast the most important spell that is the arcane heritage and culture of your people that the team reviews use. But you realizing the casting of probably makes you have sufficient skill and experience to be considered their young equal. [01:05:24] Speaker D: I smile to myself as I try to mimic what they did when they first casted. That made me go to zedge. I imagine, I draw, I trace a doorway with my finger around the front of the tree. And I imagine lights spreads from like, as my finger goes to where do you see like a shimmering kind of like loosely finger drawn doorway you can't see through. Like, it's like, it's like. [01:05:53] Speaker B: Oh, that's sick. [01:05:54] Speaker D: Frosted glass, golden type of light. [01:05:57] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:05:58] Speaker D: All right, everybody, single file. It's only open for 6 seconds. Let's go. [01:06:02] Speaker B: As you trace your fingers and mutter, the first flame burns into golden fire at your fingertips. And where you trace along the edge of the tree, the wood doesn't burn, but golden fire catches and burns there. And in between is that opaque, frosted glass of swirling color. And boss says that. Does everyone run through? Yes. [01:06:23] Speaker C: I'm gonna try and be the last, and I'm gonna, like, like, try and, like, wave to my raccoon, but I'm not gonna force him, okay? Actually, I'm just gonna look back at him and, like, of nod my no waving. He's a free man. [01:06:37] Speaker B: The free record and the fun guys utilize their first ever mass upper level conjuration spell. You guys have officially become an upper level party. As you guys all run through the door, as all of you guys run through the door, it's like those times you were teleported by the powerful members of the manifest arcana. You feel that suddenly pressure and power change. But it's different with bosses. Everything melts and swirls together in culture and then in color and everything white. I cannot talk today. And as you guys step out on the other side, all the imagery suddenly reforms to you, and the world solidifies in this rush of power and thermic sensation. And as you guys all run out one through another, trying to bolt through the door and not getting run behind, all of you guys just absolutely barrel over spaguber just. And all you guys tumble out on the grass, and as you guys all inadvertently just trample him, you guys hear different, and you guys all, like, fall and dog pile over him. And Greta, you're the last to run through and kind of trip over, and everybody's kind of collecting themselves. And Greta, the raccoon is not with you. And then the door burns together and closes. And right as it closes before it smashes together, there's this blur of motion through it as a giant old raccoon barrels out of the energy and just tackles Greta to the ground. Greta, as you stand up, it's backpacking you. It's sitting on your back, like, holding, like, its arms dug in at your shoulders, and it's just looking around at everyone going. [01:08:13] Speaker C: I copy mado. [01:08:19] Speaker B: He puts the fedora away. And as you guys start picking yourself off, off the grass, I'm going to change the music. [01:08:28] Speaker A: Oh, I can't wait to see Nam interact with the raccoon. [01:08:31] Speaker B: You guys are not in the Westwood anymore. I'm going to scroll down to the zedge map. You guys are outside of. My map is loading. Man, somebody really good at maps did this. You guys are at the far western edge of burka to the south sedge at the coast of the bay. At the south sea of belk. At the belk bay, you guys stand at the edge of a massive agricultural community far away from from its edge. And you guys are in tall mixed grasses at the edge of like tall pines that you can see later on grow into the massive wooden towers of the Westwood beyond. But you guys are all the way outside of it. And as you guys look around at these vast golden and green fields maybe a mile past you or a half mile away, you all see just two mile cut squares of golden grasses and wheat and all sorts of different grain. And far in the distance you can see large standing wooden windmills rotating lazily. And you can see a series of other buildings beyond that in a landscape that dips down into a valley area. And you guys all tumble over spaguber who's like collecting himself going, my beachwors. [01:09:51] Speaker A: I tackle spaguber again. [01:09:58] Speaker B: Dog pile of hugs. And he just gets up and he goes, I'm so glad you guys are okay. I'm so proud of you. And he's wiping tears out of his eyes and he just hugs each of you guys three times. [01:10:10] Speaker A: Look at us, look at us. And she points. [01:10:12] Speaker B: I know. [01:10:12] Speaker A: It's so good to see everyone. [01:10:15] Speaker B: Oh, wow. I love what you guys have done with your looks. How is this like an illusion magic or how are you guys doing this? [01:10:23] Speaker A: It's not illusion. [01:10:25] Speaker E: I had, I faced a lot of things that weren't good, but they had, they had better experiences. Yeah. [01:10:35] Speaker B: But you're. Are you okay? [01:10:38] Speaker A: But they brought me back. [01:10:40] Speaker E: Um, sorry, that was awful. It was. But that's okay. Now I have gold in my hair. Some sort of silvery gold. [01:10:52] Speaker B: Okay. What happened? Did you guys find. And he looks around at no one who's nearby and he goes, the wellspring with all the magics of the date. [01:11:02] Speaker A: And Ro. Ro just nods. Ro nods yes. [01:11:08] Speaker B: Joker. Is that why you guys have like gold in you and stuff? [01:11:12] Speaker C: Yeah, also we put our hands in. [01:11:16] Speaker A: Yeah, we kind of like, we kind of fell. [01:11:20] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:11:21] Speaker B: You're shining about. You're like gorgeous. That's an incredible look. How did you do that? [01:11:25] Speaker D: You. Well, you know, you take care of your skin daily. It's easy to maintain. Look like this. I'm actually have a. [01:11:33] Speaker C: It's giving with Rusty's YouTube. [01:11:41] Speaker E: Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. We watch this, watch this. [01:11:48] Speaker B: Craig and Craig cast magic as you become a wizard. [01:11:53] Speaker D: That's so amazing. [01:11:54] Speaker E: Yeah, he did. [01:11:55] Speaker D: He's a wizard now. [01:11:56] Speaker A: You're a wizard, Craig. [01:11:58] Speaker E: I don't know, but I do that now. [01:12:01] Speaker B: Craig, that's incredible, man. My adventures. You guys are so amazing. You realize you just accomplished one of the epic mysteries and legends of Yarbraine. Man, my adventures are gonna become the greatest in the world. Warriors the whale. Who am I? Right? Yeah. [01:12:18] Speaker D: We could beat them up. [01:12:19] Speaker A: I do. I know that we are of a whale now, I guess. [01:12:25] Speaker D: The fungis of the well. The fungi of the well. [01:12:31] Speaker B: So we're out there like a year from now. Janice is reading a wanted notice. Just being like, are you kidding me? [01:12:37] Speaker D: We're the fun guys of the well. [01:12:45] Speaker A: Uh oh. [01:12:46] Speaker B: Well, it's so good to see you guys. [01:12:48] Speaker A: Spaguber. [01:12:49] Speaker C: It's good to see you spaguber. [01:12:51] Speaker A: Weird question. [01:12:52] Speaker B: Uh huh. [01:12:53] Speaker A: What is the date? [01:12:56] Speaker B: It's the 31st. [01:12:57] Speaker A: Of what? [01:12:59] Speaker B: Of Calidrone. [01:13:01] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Wait, so how many days dm do I remember what the last date it was that I like recorded? Yeah. [01:13:10] Speaker C: Episode 103 was 22 Caladrone. [01:13:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, okay, so we've lost. We'd lost about another week. No big deal. [01:13:22] Speaker D: How about we call ourselves the four guys bring. [01:13:27] Speaker A: Or the golden fun guys. The golden fun guys. Is there like a little fun guy mushroom? That's gold. You guys. [01:13:37] Speaker D: I can make. [01:13:38] Speaker B: One is aware that in two days it'll be fall. [01:13:44] Speaker A: Wow, I love the leaves changing. [01:13:48] Speaker D: Halloween. Halloween. This is Halloween. Make a scene everybody. Something green. [01:13:56] Speaker C: We have to go to the sapphire desert. And then also we have to lowers her voice. She goes, um, booger. Also, have you ever heard of Xandor? [01:14:09] Speaker B: I'm aware of it. Yeah. She man, all your volume and audio cut out. What was that? Greta? [01:14:18] Speaker C: We have to go there. [01:14:21] Speaker B: Wow. It's always endless excitement with you guys. That's where we're headed next. [01:14:25] Speaker C: If the rest, that's where I want to go. If the rest of the party we're going. [01:14:33] Speaker A: I guess I want to ask Spaguber, are you still okay with like being our captain and going along with us forever? [01:14:44] Speaker B: Well, I want to do the rest of my life. [01:14:46] Speaker A: I just feel bad that like we haven't been, you know, around for a few weeks and we kind of lost track of time because we were in the forest and the horse didn't give us time. [01:14:57] Speaker B: Wow. You have to understand, I know how this works. I've read all the books. I'm on board for this. The adventures have to go off the adventure. I'm in it for the long haul. If you guys have to be gone for a year at a time, I understand. I'll be here waiting. That's the job of an adventuring captain. Love. [01:15:16] Speaker E: You fall in love? [01:15:19] Speaker B: Yes. Well. Oh, and I have a marriage pack. That's true. Right. But if I fall in love with someone who would want to go on the ship with us? [01:15:30] Speaker A: Oh, that's true. Yeah. That'd be cool. [01:15:33] Speaker C: That would be awesome. [01:15:35] Speaker B: That'd be really cool. Spaghetti for love. So we're going to Sandaria? Is that what's happening? [01:15:42] Speaker C: Yes. If that's. I would check with the rest of the park, but that is my vote. Let's. [01:15:47] Speaker B: Let's walk and talk and walk through the high grass. [01:15:49] Speaker C: Okay. So busy. [01:15:50] Speaker B: You guys are making your way back to Puerto Rico. Now, this town is really charming, and they like it. But I also understand that you guys are kind of in a rush to keep moving. We can just walk around the fields. Belfry and Plath have had the ship ready to go for, like, a week. And that's not a bad thing, but it's just. It's all sailed up and ready to go so we can hop on and sail. [01:16:09] Speaker A: Well, spaguber. I mean. I mean, you know me. [01:16:11] Speaker D: I want to plant a tree on the ship. [01:16:14] Speaker A: Well, yeah, I do want to do that. [01:16:16] Speaker D: Big tree. You want to plant the tree on the. [01:16:18] Speaker A: Plant a tree on this? On the. [01:16:22] Speaker B: I'm still working on the flowers we got growing. [01:16:25] Speaker A: Oh, no. [01:16:27] Speaker B: You guys want the biggest tree on top of the ship? [01:16:30] Speaker D: Large tree. [01:16:31] Speaker A: You know how Boz just walked through that? Well, that was amazing. [01:16:37] Speaker B: What was that? [01:16:38] Speaker A: We could go to you. [01:16:39] Speaker D: It was called Trent. [01:16:43] Speaker B: Oh, that's so smart. [01:16:45] Speaker A: You could be in the middle of the ocean and we could find you. [01:16:49] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:16:51] Speaker B: Is that so smart? Wow, Ronnie. [01:16:54] Speaker D: Impossible. [01:16:55] Speaker B: That's amazing. Guys, we should totally do that. My word. Concern is that the ship is already very visible, and if we. If we put the tree on top, I think we're gonna catch everyone's eye all the time. If we weren't already. I mean, is there a way to. [01:17:15] Speaker E: Hide the tree or wait a long to grow? We could make it a little baby tree. [01:17:23] Speaker D: Craig's right, Ro. How could we ever grow a tree that fast? [01:17:27] Speaker B: Row elm. [01:17:29] Speaker A: Fake lab. Good one. [01:17:32] Speaker B: Greg's not sure what's going on. So goes. Yeah, that's that. [01:17:36] Speaker A: Well, I was thinking that we can, like, put a little eagle's nest or treehouse on top of it to, like. So it's like, you know, like how some ships have, like, a pole and a mast? Well, this would have a tree in the house. [01:17:57] Speaker B: I'm confused how that makes it more unnoticeable. [01:18:02] Speaker A: Well, what if we. What balls can we control? Like, if the tree has leaves or something? What if it didn't have leaves, but it had, like, a little eagle's nest on top for nom to hangout on? [01:18:12] Speaker D: All right, I think Ro had some crane damage, if you know what I'm saying. Um. [01:18:18] Speaker B: Oh, no. [01:18:19] Speaker A: I thought this was a good idea. [01:18:22] Speaker B: Well, I mean, the. The logic of it makes a lot of sense. [01:18:26] Speaker A: This wasn't what I was gonna talk about, though. I was gonna ask you what, what all the. What all the popping stuff was going on in town, but are there any. [01:18:34] Speaker D: Kings in the town that ro can schmooze up? [01:18:37] Speaker A: I don't necessarily need a king. [01:18:38] Speaker D: I just want a lord, a prince. [01:18:42] Speaker A: I could take a good ale and. [01:18:45] Speaker B: Look is really spread out, but it's very much just a farming town. It's all agriculture. It's just nice with people. It's not a lot going on. I will say, though, you all have gotten very, very famous. So if we do go there, it's definitely going to be in Tampa. [01:19:03] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. And, guys, I don't. I don't really. I'm getting, like, these vibes that I can't really make us look different anymore. It's kind of nothing part of, like, my repertoire anymore, really. But, um, I can turn this into animals, but that's. That's a different story. I can't party anymore. [01:19:49] Speaker D: They do good animals in the town. [01:19:54] Speaker A: We could make you. [01:19:56] Speaker D: Why don't we. Why don't we just go? [01:20:02] Speaker B: You guys are. I'm just going to say you guys are a very big deal in the town. You've become very famous in Zedge recently. So why. And then there's this crashing memory hits you guys so hard that one of you throws rose up where you remember hearing all sorts of rumors about your legend fading west and how hero culture, your legend of having slain Dolgoth, has spread like fire here. And now your coming has been spread like the third coming of great heroes. And how you heard that two weeks behind all of your travel, each town and the path of travel around the nation was getting excited and starting to erect statues of you. [01:20:42] Speaker A: Yeah, that's right. It all came rushing back to me. Sorry. Maybe I was having something going on. [01:20:48] Speaker D: Well, why don't we just go and then tell everyone just to chill? [01:20:55] Speaker B: I'm sure there's one strategy. You're highly persuasive. [01:21:00] Speaker D: I really wanted to go back to port resplende saint for, like, a little trip, but nobody else wants to do that? [01:21:06] Speaker B: Well, if you guys can just walk around the world suddenly with plants, because bows is so amazing. We could all get in, get on the ship, set out into the harbor. We've got so much food, guys, and you left us a bunch of money, so we got a bunch of really good food, and we could just start sailing in the harbor, and then you guys could just. Magical way to purchase money. Song. And then when you're done there, you could come back and we could work on all the trade thing, and then we could start sailing wherever you want us to go. [01:21:34] Speaker E: Down? [01:21:36] Speaker D: Down. Who's down? Do I get. Do I still? [01:21:39] Speaker B: I got more decisive and captainly in your absence, I. [01:21:42] Speaker A: Sounds great. [01:21:42] Speaker D: I like it, Goober. I like it. [01:21:45] Speaker B: Thank you. I'm very proud. [01:21:47] Speaker E: I really appreciate the fact that you like. I don't know, you're really good at planning, spooky bird. [01:21:52] Speaker B: Thank you. I think so. I'm really good at planning. I'm a good captain. I think I'm a good coordinator of social events, and I'm a great hugger. [01:22:00] Speaker A: You do have good hugs. You really. [01:22:02] Speaker B: I'm really good at it. The specialty. All right, well, if we're going to not be seen by the townspeople, we should be sneaky. And then he turns around and squats down on the grass, so only his cotton top hair is showing. And he just starts walking like a slight squat. And he's going quietly to himself. [01:22:22] Speaker A: Ro starts playing it on the loot. [01:22:27] Speaker B: And the party can easily skirt by the large agricultural town at a distance and not be seen. So you all walk for maybe like an hour and a half, and you skirt by the really large border of the city. Are you going, Micah? [01:22:43] Speaker E: Yeah, I think I need to. [01:22:44] Speaker B: Sorry. [01:22:45] Speaker E: I'm sorry. [01:22:45] Speaker B: That's fine, dude. Hey. Standing Micah. For the four bajillionth time, it's always. Okay. You know about your tummy. [01:22:54] Speaker E: It's okay. Tummy hurt a little too much for a little too long. [01:22:57] Speaker B: Now recording. [01:22:59] Speaker A: Bye. [01:22:59] Speaker E: Bye. [01:23:00] Speaker D: Hi, Mike. I love you. Good to see you. [01:23:03] Speaker E: Happy paladin day. [01:23:05] Speaker A: Love you, Micah. [01:23:06] Speaker B: Happy paladin. And so the party skirts around the edge border of burka, and as the topography of the landscape slopes downward, the great deep, navy blue shining horizon of the belk opens up for you as you all watch the massive bay of the town. The town's landscape is interesting because it's all of these really tall grassy fields as far as you can see in every direction except for the forest on the side. But then as it goes over this slope for maybe another half mile walk. Everything turns into this, like, these rock cliffs at the farthest edge of the bay. But then in the middle, all this, like, light brown sand that, like, turns into dunes as the planes give away. Is that, like the planes give way into the beach and then beyond it, there's just soft waves pulling up on this dock, and there's, like, this wide series of docks and ships at them. You all can see to the furthest right edge. The poor bet just kind of bobbing there. And you guys see the poor bet for the first time in about two months, I think. And super Cooper goes, um. Oh, my goodness, guys, it's exciting. [01:24:18] Speaker A: You're, by heck, home sweet home own sweetheart. [01:24:23] Speaker D: Who's all in the boat right now? [01:24:26] Speaker B: Well, hopefully our crew. I'd be really disappointed if they weren't. Um, billy and pop, I've been going into town a little. Sorry. [01:24:37] Speaker C: No, I'm just. Well, I'm excited to see what changes and what, what's been happening. I'm excited to hear about what's been happening. [01:24:44] Speaker B: Absolutely. Not much, but I'm so excited to tell you. And you guys, tread down. Oh, they've been going into town some, but ma'am, his sort of stayed on the boat. She doesn't want to go into town, so. Not here. She said it's not the big enough city, but, yeah, no, we're just ready for the departure. We just stocked it with really good stuff. It's really clean. Bill free and plough have been doing all the workouts. Don't tell them that I told you this, but they've been saying that they're going to beat Craig when he gets back, so. And then you guys are just treading down the sloping scapes through the dunes and through the beach until you get to that far edge of the dock. And Chippa guber has you guys do this thing where you wait at the end of the dunes and. And then, like, kind of sprint toward the boat so no one can see you. And you guys look outward to see that there's almost no one anywhere on the dock anywhere. So you guys are like, wow, that's not necessary. Landon, why did you put a plastic filter over? [01:25:43] Speaker A: Why didn't you just do that? [01:25:44] Speaker C: Landon, that was so weird. [01:25:46] Speaker D: I just wanted to see what it would look like. I'm sorry. [01:25:49] Speaker A: Landon taped over his camera for a. [01:25:52] Speaker D: Second, but you can still see me. I just look like an angel. [01:25:56] Speaker A: You look like you're in a room of smoke. [01:26:01] Speaker C: You're so angelic. [01:26:03] Speaker D: I got the halo up top. [01:26:06] Speaker C: You're so cocky. [01:26:06] Speaker A: Do you? [01:26:08] Speaker C: Wow. [01:26:11] Speaker B: Okay, anywho, and you guys travel, and eventually you guys get all the way back to the poor bet. And as you all travel on to the small ship bobbing at the end of the dock and getting on with some expedition, and he lifts up the porthole to the lower hold. And as you guys go down, there is the familiar home, glistening with threaded starscape of emerald dust all over the walls with all the many grooved patterns everywhere, the magical looking ship. And, and Bill free is leaning against a far edge, and you all can see that in his hands, he's reading a book. And then plough is just passed out in the hammock, swinging back and forth, and Nam is just sitting there, kind of whittling into the knife throwing block, just bored. Chipgieberg goes, I'm back, everybody. And they go, hey. Hi. Oh, hi. And then he goes, and I brought someone. And they all kind of look up as you guys all come down, like, everybody sits up excited, and you all see that Bill free closes the book really quickly and puts it down beside him. But you guys all have really high perceptions. So you did read the title love under the mountain before he closed it really quickly and put it to his side. But as you all walk down, you see that Bill free gets a big grin on his face and then remembers and gets a little more serious. And Plof just sits up really startled and excited. And Nam is, like, looking at the edge, and she just goes, rolls her eyes and smiles a little bit, and then just kind of sits where she is. And Bill free and Ploth get up and walk over. And they don't hug you guys, but they both very excitedly shake your hands and hold your shoulders. And Nam just kind of goes, hey, hello to you all. Go on, guys. Let's set sail or not sail on the poor bit. But you know what I mean. [01:28:11] Speaker A: When we went on the top, he said something about still dealing with the flowers. Were there still flowers? [01:28:16] Speaker B: Yeah, flowers still growing everywhere. And. But Bill free and plough get back up, and they do the circular anchor winch. They start lifting it up, and after some time, Cooper stands up at the helm and he goes, oh, man, it's just a really big smile on his face. Takes deep breath, and the wind kind of sweeps by off the ocean and blows his little cotton top curls around. And he goes, looks like we're sitting. And he whispers, a little enchantment, squeezes the helm and the magical enchantment on the back of the rudders just well, I mean, they're not rudders. I don't know, the structures at the back, the arcane rudders go. The ship just sets off the ocean. And the poor bet is finally again sailing. So you guys are at sea now. I don't want to spend too much intermediary time because I recognize a lot has already happened this episode. So what we can do is we can save, like, sea ballplay time for next session, if you guys like, because we'll always have plenty of sailing sessions. But we can, if you guys have some role play you really like to get done. I don't want to stifle that, but we can also just go. And then everyone had a day of sailing and went to bed. And the next day you guys could get up and try the whole trees dried thing or whatever. What's the method here for everybody? [01:29:44] Speaker D: I liked what you. The one you said was good for me. [01:29:48] Speaker A: The last one, the one where we go to bed. [01:29:52] Speaker B: Importantly, you guys have to walk into a tree to come out of a tree. So if you want to try the tree style thing, you're gonna have to grow the tree. [01:30:00] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:30:02] Speaker B: Okay. [01:30:03] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:30:03] Speaker B: Do you guys do that? [01:30:05] Speaker D: Yes, I try to do that as we set sail. [01:30:08] Speaker B: Okay. As a ceremony, after some time, spagubra, lets tell o take over at the helm and he's talking with you guys under the boat. And he goes. So I really think it's just a question of whether or not we want to risk having a tree on the upper deck. It'd be easier to access, but it'd be very visible. If you guys think you could grow one down here. I mean, we don't have a lot of room, but it would certainly be more concealed. Do you guys want to prioritize having room on the lower hold or you want to prioritize what? Being snakey? [01:30:40] Speaker A: What if. [01:30:41] Speaker D: Ask everybody else. [01:30:43] Speaker A: Well, what if it started in the bottom and we cut a little hole and it came out the top and it was just like a little bit out the top? [01:30:50] Speaker B: For whatever it's worth, I think having some amount of tree growing up out of the ship is probably going to be in a similar sphere of issue. [01:30:59] Speaker C: What if you were talking about building, like a little house on top? [01:31:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:31:04] Speaker C: And we'd have to find lumber to do this. What if we cut a little hole in the top and the tree came up through the top and then we built around it so that you can't see it? It just looks like we have a little building up. What do you think of that? [01:31:19] Speaker A: Like a little tower that's kind of tall and goes up. [01:31:22] Speaker C: Yeah, that would actually give us more. [01:31:27] Speaker B: We would have less room on the upper deck. [01:31:29] Speaker D: Then I don't really want it to cross decks. I think if we can have it just down here, that'd be pretty cool. [01:31:37] Speaker B: I will also say this ship is very well made to be watertight. And Bill free is a very skilled carpenter. Like, nah, it's kind of. He squints his eye at Shpigooper as if he's like, what are you trying to insinuate? Why is this song playing? You guys hear waves? [01:31:51] Speaker A: No. [01:31:52] Speaker B: Stinky poopers. It's just been silence. Well, I'll pick a different song. But he goes, but if we cut the hole and build on top of it, we just have to be super sure that it's a absolutely water tight. [01:32:06] Speaker A: Because then if it rains, then water's going down in the, in the area. [01:32:10] Speaker B: Or if we get in another massive storm that almost drowns the ship again. [01:32:13] Speaker A: I mean, I could always put up the hut around it, but if I go down. [01:32:17] Speaker B: That's true. [01:32:18] Speaker A: Then if I go down, though, then we don't have the hut. [01:32:21] Speaker D: No, let's just have it down, down here if we can. [01:32:25] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. [01:32:26] Speaker D: We can put where my bunk is. [01:32:28] Speaker A: How big does it have to be balls for us to go in and out of it? [01:32:33] Speaker B: Wide enough for you guys to walk through it? Yeah. [01:32:37] Speaker A: Okay. [01:32:38] Speaker C: So does that include, like, foliage or is that just a tree trunk? [01:32:43] Speaker D: Drunk tree trunk. [01:32:44] Speaker C: That's a pretty big tree. Boss is tall. [01:32:49] Speaker A: Can he bend down or no? [01:32:51] Speaker B: Yeah, as long as you guys can fit through. It's big enough. [01:32:54] Speaker A: Yeah. So, I mean, we could make like. I mean, I don't know what works. [01:33:00] Speaker B: Exactly, but you have an 11th level druid in your company and two half dryads. So if you guys can roll high enough on a checks, I'm willing to let this be, like, specifically shaped and controlled. [01:33:17] Speaker A: Ooh, I'm down to do that. [01:33:20] Speaker D: Let's do it. It takes 8 hours with plant growth. Do you ever prepare, jackie? [01:33:24] Speaker A: I don't have to prepare. I just always have plant growth. I mean, like, it's just. It's my spell, like, oh, yeah. [01:33:31] Speaker B: Half dried thing, right? [01:33:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:33:35] Speaker D: Yeah. All right. I sit down and I start. I start doing plant growth. And I do it look like. [01:33:44] Speaker B: What does it look like? Is you both spend. [01:33:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:33:46] Speaker B: 8 hours slowly growing this tree. What's that? What's that flavoring? [01:33:52] Speaker D: I feel like it's very difficult at first because it's meant to act like plant growth is meant to accentuate plants that already exist. And I don't know how we're creating a tree. So it's kind of like you can. [01:34:04] Speaker B: Druid craft something to start and then plant growth. [01:34:06] Speaker A: I was gonna say that. [01:34:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:34:08] Speaker D: Yeah. So I druid craft, like, an oak seed or something, and I put it down. I put it near my bunk because I would rather, like, take up space there and sleep somewhere else or make do within, like, make it, like, I don't want to take up nom's area. I don't take up the knife throwing area. I don't think of somebody else's bunk. So I probably start there near where my bunk, where my hand wasn't mine. [01:34:30] Speaker A: And my bunk you had. [01:34:31] Speaker B: You guys share a bunk space. Yours is different. [01:34:34] Speaker A: I. And then I slept under it. Hold on. No, I'm agreeing with you that we can put it in our shared space, I think, and then you and I can just figure it out. I think that. Be cool. [01:34:48] Speaker D: Okay. Sounds good to me. [01:34:50] Speaker A: And we can. I mean, we can sit as you master. [01:34:54] Speaker B: As you master the careful use of spreading the druid craft outward and building it upward, I mean, in completely inhospitable environment, to a tree. But there's a lot of magic going on here. What does it look like as you focus on this and you. And you build into it with your druidic magics? [01:35:07] Speaker D: I feel like my spell casting colors have changed from, like, the red that it was to, like, a red tinged gold. [01:35:14] Speaker B: Okay. [01:35:15] Speaker D: Sparkled yellowish red. [01:35:16] Speaker B: That's gorgeous. [01:35:17] Speaker D: And so I'm kind of, like. [01:35:21] Speaker B: You. [01:35:21] Speaker D: See, kind of, like, I'm, like, working with the seed and, like, pouring energy into it, and then slowly, as it gets bigger and grows a tree, like, shaping it and to be a way that is to our desirable specifications. And so I almost see, like, as I'm, like, shaping it with my hands and, like, physically trying to mold it alongside ro, that's the way that needs to be. Like, you mostly, like. Like, goldish red echoes of my hands as they're, like, moving the tree and connecting with. [01:35:46] Speaker B: Landon. Come on now. Landon, have I given you inspiration? Yeah. That's sick. That's awesome. Ro, for your eight hour portion, what are you doing for 8 hours? Laboriously growing this tree. [01:36:00] Speaker A: I think it's kind of like what we did in parsage when we did the thing. I think she kind of sits down cross legged with her lute, and she just kind of trances almost, and she's just playing this melody and maybe because now being of the old song, maybe it kinda kind of seems a little different. And I'd like to think that her magic is still the purple and green that it's always been, but there's a tinge of gold laced within it. [01:36:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:36:35] Speaker A: And when you see her playing, as the purple and green kind of swirls around her, there's like a tinge of. [01:36:44] Speaker B: Golden, cold and all ro, as you cast in that really cool way that you say, and those like amber, golden red echoes of your hands move around, you all see that the longer that Boz focuses on his spot and sort of trances as well, focusing deeply and carefully for so many hours on this, needing to take breaks and return to it, you all see that his feet are growing into the floor, and that as the tree expands and grows upward, the roots from him are mixing with them and supporting them and literally helping shape them with the guidance of his hands. And as Ro sits there and plays Greta, you watch as it's very much the lute. Well, it's the new magical, really cool loot. But as she's playing it, as ro sings softly over the notes, Ro's voice when she sings is different now. It's beautiful and gorgeous as it has been. But she is able to the sort of real life tonal effects that Jackie makes in editing with her songs as the deep magic lays over it. And she can summon other voices from the past over her song. Like, there are haunting melodies, and she's, like, harmonizing with herself as she plays. And as she plucks the chords, she'll pluck a string, move on from it, and move to the next one. And that previous string will keep reverberating and keep holding notes so that she can make, like, more and more complex, layered melodies. And at some point, every member of the crew is sitting there just staring at what's happening down deck, entranced and amazed, and like, noms even, just captivated, watching. And Craig is doing, like, really poor sketches of it, amazed about it, and writing in his journal about it. And Tello is standing there. Obviously, Tello gets a little tear in his eye. And I would like both of you to either roll arcana checks for me, or ro, if you want, you can do performance check instead. And then Boz, if you want, you can do a wisdom based check instead, or you can do our call. [01:38:38] Speaker C: Can I cast guidance on them? [01:38:40] Speaker B: You can cast guidance on both. And Craig also casts guidance on you both. And you can't get double guidance. But he also does. [01:38:55] Speaker D: What do you say? [01:38:56] Speaker B: That I hate 21. Nice. What did you get bro. [01:39:05] Speaker A: 28. [01:39:07] Speaker B: Holy crap. Okay. An average of 25 point something. It is hours of laborious work, and it is careful. But what happens is spectacular. The power to shape a plant into a living thing is complex and difficult, but in less than a year's time, you all have just been transformed as people. You all have become master mast. I mean, you have become bro. One of the more skilled, magically skilled bards in the world, let alone how skilled you are at your craft. And, Boz, you're on your way to becoming an arch druid. I mean, you would be considered a root among your people, if not a deep root. Yet in less than a year's time, great powers and calling and a seeming destiny, and the deep magic now have shaped and forged you all into prodigies of your craft, and you all make more than a tree. At the base of the wood of the boat, the pine wood is breathed life into it again so that its initial roots mix with the oak growing up from between it until it's nothing but the oak with splinters and paths of the pine wood going through it and the like. Oh, my goodness. I forget the kind, the kind of tree that was the crook of the mad prince. That's part of Bosnau, which drives me insane that I can't remember the name. All of a sudden. The roots of that are mixed in a as well. And it's hard to tell exactly what this tree is. It's like it's all three in a hybrid, and you all managed to keep it not growing straight up. You managed to grow it into the side of the ship so that it bows up with the wall and then up into the ceiling. It doesn't compromise its structural integrity. It reinforces it by about eight inches out. And you manage to take up almost none of the room on that side. In the process, Belfry and plough have to move the storage stuff out of that side of the ship where it was once in that void space, but it grows up into the side of the ship, strengthening it slightly and balancing it, but only ever so slightly. So now, the ship very slightly tilts this way, but only ever so slightly. And where it grows into the bottom of the ship, the branches grow up into the ceiling. And these natural like, bough shape depression grows up between the branches such that someone could climb up in them and sleep in them if they spread blankets across them. So you all make a bed for yourselves in the top branches. They're basically forming, like, this upbringing central trunk structure, and these branches that spread up over the top. So, to be clear, the portbed is now a tiny, magically enchanted ship that's water sealed with a port down to the bottom with no sails, that grows magical flowers up from its top deck that has grooves in an insane fractaling pattern all along the wood of the lower deck with emerald crystal fragments everywhere. And a ship growing into the side. A tree growing into the side of it. And you all have managed to almost completely preserve the space allowed by the tree. Created a sleeping space big enough for you all at the top. And there's, like, a sleeping hollow in the bottom with the roots. And there is enough space that you all can walk through it in the middle. [01:42:13] Speaker D: I crash into my new bed tree, and I pause. [01:42:20] Speaker B: That's awesome. And as we transition to the next day, assuming that no one else has anything else you got, and I promise we're moving toward the end of a session. As you go. Oh, okay. Abby didn't look happy about that. [01:42:37] Speaker C: I'm sleepy. [01:42:38] Speaker B: As you go. Okay. What was that? Oh, gotta go. Sorry. I won't call you out for that. Layman for the message. You. No problem, Lando. Feel free. Do you carry on with the earlier plan of what you guys do the next day? Okay. I will assume you cast trees dried. So as you all go to sleep and awake again the next day, the party wakes up to the poor bed at sea on the ocean again with a tree growing through it. And actually, you know what? We'll say that the roots grew across the floor in such ways, in patterns and grooves, that they sort of balance out the weight of the boat tilting one side. But, um, well, just how you guys barrels on the other side. [01:43:19] Speaker A: Yeah, a couple of the bigger barrels or bigger people sleep on the other side. The small people sleep on the other side. [01:43:25] Speaker C: I feel like. I feel like Nam was, like, mad that she couldn't play marbles or something, and then we, like, had to, like, shift barrels. [01:43:34] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:43:35] Speaker B: Okay, that's better. That's better. But you guys wake up the next day and, um, boz goes, okay, well, uh, you guys want to go or. And then Craig farts. [01:43:53] Speaker C: What? Wait, where are we going? [01:43:56] Speaker B: To port resplenny saunt, where you guys want to go to pour responding salt? Also, bro, did you wake up early to work out with Craig? [01:44:02] Speaker A: Yes. [01:44:03] Speaker B: Put another day there. [01:44:04] Speaker A: So, yeah, we hit 30 days. Boy. [01:44:11] Speaker E: I don't. [01:44:12] Speaker C: I don't know. I feel like we should wait to discuss the plan. [01:44:17] Speaker B: Okay. And then boss freezes catatonically while the player who plays him is not at the table, because that has fully exhausted the instructions I had from Landon. So you guys are free to roleplay if you want. [01:44:31] Speaker A: Um. Oh, on the, um. On the up. Like, on the upside of where the trees are? No, like, where the ceiling. Where the new bedding is. [01:44:42] Speaker B: Okay. Okay. [01:44:43] Speaker A: Um. I think ro definitely just does, like, a canonical thing. I think she'll. She'll do the plant growth of the flower bed every night there. So it's, like, full and soft for everyone. [01:44:55] Speaker B: The shallow canopy of the tree is filled with both oak leaves and clovers. Wow. I really want to live in this place. And you guys are the most magical ship in the world. [01:45:12] Speaker A: We really do. What did, like, spagubers say about the tree? Like, I feel like we went in. [01:45:17] Speaker B: After he showers you in compliments. Okay. It's the most incredible thing I've ever seen. You guys was all amazing. It's bleeding from his nose. [01:45:26] Speaker A: He's amazed. [01:45:27] Speaker C: Is he visible from the top of the deck? [01:45:30] Speaker B: No. [01:45:32] Speaker C: Okay. Um. [01:45:34] Speaker B: Just sneezed on Maya by accident. [01:45:36] Speaker C: Damn. I have a question. [01:45:38] Speaker B: Player avenue. [01:45:40] Speaker C: That's so relieving to me to hear. Yeah. Um, I. Okay. For ascending stone, you have to know of some, right? Do you have to know the person? [01:45:56] Speaker B: Well, the way we have it working in our campaign, you have to know of them to a certain extent in quality. So there have been people before. You're like, well, we kind of know who this is. And you've tried. It hasn't worked. And then there's been others where you guys have been like, well, we kind of know who this is, and it has worked. So it's like a. So tricky. Long. [01:46:14] Speaker C: Okay, so, um. [01:46:16] Speaker A: Yeah, because I tried to contact, uh, what's his name? Cleric. [01:46:23] Speaker B: I love that guy. [01:46:24] Speaker A: You know, the one that saved Greta. Yeah, I tried that. We had to. I had to do a bunch of checks, but I got through to him or whatever that time. Yeah. [01:46:35] Speaker C: Um. Okay, so when I look in my notebook of iron, do I see any, like, there's no contact information? [01:46:44] Speaker B: Is there any notebook is filled with your notes? [01:46:49] Speaker C: Okay. [01:46:50] Speaker B: It doesn't have a Google search feature set. [01:46:53] Speaker C: That's not what I was asked for. Um, would I. Would I know of any, like, famous people in the order of island? [01:47:10] Speaker B: You can either give me a very high DC history check or a. To get some basic knowledge or a stupid high rumors check to gain some more specifics. Your call is to which both are going to be very high. [01:47:26] Speaker C: So very high history or stupid high rumors. [01:47:29] Speaker B: Mm hmm. [01:47:30] Speaker C: Okay. [01:47:33] Speaker B: Which do you want to make? [01:47:35] Speaker C: Um, older history I'm gonna use guidance. [01:47:42] Speaker B: I'm gonna be learning kind of basic. [01:47:43] Speaker C: Information, but it's gonna be guidance on myself. [01:47:47] Speaker B: I know. [01:47:49] Speaker A: I. Wait. No, never mind. Cause I don't know. You're doing this. [01:47:54] Speaker C: Yeah, it's okay. I think I got it. Maybe. We'll see. We shall see. It is quasi. [01:47:58] Speaker B: Hi. [01:47:58] Speaker C: I'm doing a history check. [01:48:00] Speaker A: I'm breaking out my I give you player. I believe in you. Inspiration. It does nothing, except I just believe in you. Yeah. [01:48:10] Speaker B: Daniel's campaign. [01:48:13] Speaker A: It'S a what? [01:48:14] Speaker B: Why do I even try? [01:48:15] Speaker A: Was it a 25? [01:48:17] Speaker C: The 31. [01:48:18] Speaker B: 31. [01:48:18] Speaker A: 31. I don't know why I heard 25. [01:48:22] Speaker B: I try so hard. In Daniel's campaign, they have a role called Caleb spiration, which is where Caleb goes, I like what you did. And then he gives them a dice just because he's Caleb. And he wore Daniel down, and it's used to be a D four, but over the years, he's worn Daniel down to a D six. So once a day, he's allowed to go, and then someone gets a D six to put on something. [01:48:44] Speaker A: That's beautiful. [01:48:45] Speaker C: Awesome. [01:48:50] Speaker B: It was DC 20, and I don't know why I thought that was going to mean anything. You are aware that Sandoria, specifically Sandor, the key island, which holds the sandorian monks in it, and their order, which you've learned about in the past, you know, lore about them. This doesn't replace that. But you are aware that they function in a series of small, related organizations. So there is that, like, devoted order of Ayun there. But you're aware that there are also the blades of Sandoria who, like, hold some sort of a shared cultural lineage and share Sandor with the order of Ayun, that both are sandborian. [01:49:31] Speaker C: You mean that they. You mean specifically the key island? [01:49:35] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. [01:49:36] Speaker C: Got it. And I would know that. I would know. So you're telling me that I know that the order of Ayun is on. [01:49:41] Speaker B: The island of Sandor? Yes. And that, um. The, uh. So are the blades of Sandoria. And you are aware that the blades of Sandoria are a highly skilled creme de la creme order of, like, hitmen and assassins and, like, transporters and, like. I mean, they are. They are some of the most skilled paid assassins in the world. And they're like. Like a. Like a. There's like. There's, like, a cultural aspect to it, too. It's not just business. Like, this is a group of people who, culturally, they do this, and it's a part of, like, their way of life. You've heard it said that it's, like, religious for them, but, like, they do that. And then there's also the Order of Ayoun, and that they're. They're very separate organizations, but they share the island, and they share some amount of cultural history with each other. They're like descendant bifurcations of a shared people group on the island. And that, um, the order of Ayun secrecy is their whole thing. But you are aware that they have constituents that they send out into the world, like that monk you met that one time in the blood bowl. And that is actually a very impressive face. Color me impressed. And so you are aware that you could try to find something about someone like them, but, you know, secrecy is their thing, and the bliss. The blades of Sandorio are equally secretive, but the order of Ayoun is an internal order who, like, do their own business. The blades of Sandoria are a culture and a sect, but they're also a public service. They are. They are a private entity who does things for money. So you imagine there's probably. I mean, if you're trying to go the long way about it, it's not how you have to, but if you're trying to, you could probably find a way to get in contact with someone from there. For a price. Just a possibility. Boz. Everyone has woken up on the next day, and Greta is, like, ruminating about things, about Sandor, and the party is deciding whether or not where they want to go today. And it's just people are, like, figuring out the course. [01:51:47] Speaker D: Cool. Where's Namdhezenhe? [01:51:50] Speaker B: On the ship with you, below deck. Hey, boz. [01:51:58] Speaker C: Hey, mash. [01:52:00] Speaker D: How long were we gone for? [01:52:04] Speaker B: Um, I think it was like. What do you mean? Like. Like since we dropped you off at the port? [01:52:14] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [01:52:15] Speaker B: Like a little over two months, I think. Something like that. Oh, wow. [01:52:18] Speaker D: Yes. Felt like a while. Um, sorry. That. [01:52:23] Speaker B: That's fine. You guys do your thing. [01:52:26] Speaker D: Yeah, I mean, this place doesn't seem like a hopping spot. [01:52:31] Speaker B: No, it's kind of nice. It's calm. [01:52:34] Speaker D: Have you been the past two months? [01:52:38] Speaker B: Pretty good. Nobody's tried to kill me in a while, so I'm big fan of that. I never know if being on sea is better or worse, because I think it's better because it's just us out here. And then fish people try to kill. [01:52:52] Speaker D: Us all, so I missed that part. But I heard that it was bad. [01:52:57] Speaker B: Kind of wish you'd been there, but, um. But, I mean, I don't know. It's nice to be out again. Um, getting. Get along pretty well, bill free and plough nowadays, so I don't know. That's cool. I like the tree, actually. [01:53:10] Speaker D: Oh, really? [01:53:10] Speaker B: Oh, it's claw edition. Yeah. Where I'm from, there's a lot of really big, tall trees, and so my people live in them, so I'm a big fan of them. [01:53:18] Speaker D: Well, you're welcome to make a spot and the tree. [01:53:23] Speaker B: If you guys. If you guys aren't here, I might. She makes a face, boss. Give me a persuasion check. Okay. [01:53:31] Speaker A: She doesn't like IDC. She doesn't like my cardinal clovers up there. It's because of me, isn't it? [01:53:43] Speaker B: I'm gonna call it. [01:53:44] Speaker D: I got 22. [01:53:47] Speaker B: Wow. Okay. That was insane. [01:53:49] Speaker D: I'm so glad you said 22 because I was looking. I was looking at my. I was a 13 plus nine. And I was like. [01:53:59] Speaker B: She goes. Says as you with the special relationship with her talking. [01:54:04] Speaker D: She goes, and a plus nine in persuasion. [01:54:07] Speaker B: She goes, look, I don't know how I feel about that big raccoon being on the ship, okay? Makes me uncomfortable. [01:54:13] Speaker D: Oh, you don't like raccoons? [01:54:15] Speaker B: What if? What if? Well, I mean, you know, at my size, it's kind of like having a bear on board, you know, what if. And I'm not trying to impose. I don't know, you guys do your own thing, but what if you made the branches grow out across the ceiling so they kind of connected to my spot, and I just had more of, like, an area out there. Okay. Yeah. And I want it. She gets kind of quiet, and she's like, I want it kind of like. She gets even more quieter. She remembers how keen those ears are. And she goes, I want it kind of thin. Like, I don't want to be able to crawl over to where I am. I want it to be like, kind of like just like a branch or two for me to be able to hang between, you know? [01:54:50] Speaker D: Got it. I can do that. I can do that. [01:54:54] Speaker B: I don't mind her that much. I just, you know. [01:54:57] Speaker D: No, no, no. [01:54:57] Speaker B: The distance is good. [01:54:59] Speaker D: Listen, it's. It's. It's. Yeah, yeah. [01:55:02] Speaker B: I mean, I. I'd appreciate that if you did it. It's not a big deal or anything, but. [01:55:05] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, yeah, I can. Absolutely. Uh, tree time. And I start doing that. [01:55:12] Speaker B: Okay. Yes. All right. Thanks, boss, as always. Uh, and she walks back and she goes, here. She hands up a copper. [01:55:21] Speaker D: Oh, what's that for? [01:55:23] Speaker B: I bet somebody on board you wouldn't make it back. [01:55:27] Speaker D: I almost walked back. To where? [01:55:28] Speaker B: Hers. [01:55:31] Speaker D: That is a third level spell slot gone. But I try to do what she. [01:55:36] Speaker B: Asks, and you extend this. Was that a plant growth? Oh, wait, no, you still have. No. Yeah, I do it without using this. [01:55:45] Speaker D: No, you have to use a spell slot. I thought. [01:55:48] Speaker B: Oh, I believe you. [01:55:49] Speaker D: Yeah, I don't care. I could be wrong. I just didn't want. [01:55:52] Speaker B: You're not doing combat today. Who cares unless you do that somehow. So you manage the branches go out. I've had enough of the branches. Snake. And it's cool the way they're growing. It's like their roots underneath the ceiling. And they grow in and out of the wood shallowly. And as you make it grow across, you make those sections connect. Mom just kind of starts surreptitiously taking extra lengths of rope and tying them into, like, a little, like, kind of bed space. And it's just enough space for her, but like a cat, she has, like, a little walkway above connected to the tree area now. And it, like, doubles the real estate she has there in that upper space. And she really likes it. [01:56:35] Speaker D: All right, anything you want for porto split? [01:56:39] Speaker C: We going there? [01:56:40] Speaker A: Why? I don't remember us talking about going. I thought we were going to send or. And, like, the day. True trip? [01:56:48] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Nothing crazy. We're not gonna buy any hags. We're just gonna. I might go to. I just want to go to magic lane and do some shopping. I want to. [01:56:58] Speaker A: I could get a tattoo. [01:57:00] Speaker D: You get a tattoo? Like, I've been out the middle of nowhere for two months now, and I. I need to be in the city. Yeah, but I want to go beat the empress again. We had a good convo the other night, and I just. You know. [01:57:14] Speaker B: The face Jackie made? [01:57:16] Speaker A: How? How? [01:57:20] Speaker D: Don't give me that phase. It's strictly platonic. [01:57:23] Speaker A: That's true. You like the mean lady. [01:57:28] Speaker B: He's so funny. [01:57:29] Speaker C: Jackie. [01:57:31] Speaker D: Not true. Those are rumors. [01:57:32] Speaker A: And she looks over at Greta. [01:57:34] Speaker C: Those are shopping. [01:57:35] Speaker A: Sorry. Those are rumors. [01:57:36] Speaker D: We're having a shopping episode tonight. [01:57:39] Speaker B: Okay, so to check the check idea, but I'm like to check in with the players really quickly. To check in with the players really quickly. It's 1120, 512. 30 is our cut off. And I think it might even be a really good idea for everybody if it wasn't 1230 tonight, if it was like, closer to, like, twelve or 1150 or something, so. But I want to balance everyone's desires at the table. What is Landon? [01:58:01] Speaker A: Space. [01:58:03] Speaker B: Okay. [01:58:03] Speaker C: What'd you say? [01:58:04] Speaker B: So it doesn't need to be an entire episode. You guys could go there and get started some fun things. Or, I mean, like, it. We can just, like, start something tonight, and then, like, next time can be. I can literally tie it, title it. Episode 106. Shopping episode or something. Like, no pressure. [01:58:24] Speaker D: Abby, would you mind even if, like, me and Jackie went and messed around and Boris Lanny song a little bit? I mean, we could do that, and you don't. You can go to bed. [01:58:32] Speaker E: Well, I mean, I do want to. [01:58:35] Speaker C: Do that, and I would love to spend time in magic Lane, and I would. I would really love to get a tattoo in partners Blenny song. But. [01:58:44] Speaker D: You'Re tired. That's completely tired. [01:58:47] Speaker C: But if it's okay if we're good till, like, I mean, I'm stopping before midnight. Good for me. I just didn't. [01:58:55] Speaker D: Yeah, we get started. We don't have to go spend a whole lot of time. [01:58:59] Speaker A: Yeah, I figured we could just get started. I'm cool with stopping at midnight. Midnight, y'all's time. Because. Yeah, I mean, I'm. I mean, I'm good with anything. You know, I am. But, uh, I want. I know portless bunny san is, like, a big deal for Abby, and, like, Craig's not here, and he might want to do something there, so. Yeah, I would say maybe we don't, like, go and come back without Greta and Craig. [01:59:30] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [01:59:30] Speaker A: Like, being present. [01:59:32] Speaker D: Well, I have. We have to wait a whole day before we can come back because I can't cast this well again until the next day, so we'll have to get a tab. [01:59:40] Speaker B: I've really. As you guys are talking, I really forgot about how once parties have their six level conservation spells, I just have to have things ready for any place at any in the world at any time. [01:59:52] Speaker A: Yeah, Zach. [01:59:53] Speaker B: Okay, we can do this. But I was just like, oh, yeah, all those shops. And I decided to update them, like, a year ago. [02:00:01] Speaker A: Hold on. [02:00:04] Speaker B: I'm just. I'm sitting here letting you guys make your choices. I just open documents, and I'm like, okay, okay, okay. We're okay. [02:00:09] Speaker D: I think we should have a plan for what we're gonna do if we go spend a little bit of time there today. [02:00:13] Speaker A: This is my question. Rose says you said you talked to the empress recently, right? [02:00:21] Speaker D: Like, maybe, like, a month ago. [02:00:23] Speaker A: Okay, well, that's just for the record. [02:00:24] Speaker B: Not that it matters. The countess. [02:00:26] Speaker A: The countess. [02:00:27] Speaker D: I mean, I call her the countess, but she is a countess. [02:00:32] Speaker A: I I mean, like, don't. I mean, I know it's. I know, it's not, like, taken over by Kev's, but, like, we're. [02:00:43] Speaker D: So they pushed him out. Like, they. They beat him back. [02:00:49] Speaker B: You are aware that. [02:00:50] Speaker A: Yeah, what am I aware? [02:00:52] Speaker B: Was violently opposed to the Kafka empire to the point of militaristically resisting them in a siege and could not be more opposed to the empire. And you are aware that the empire has. Oh, my goodness. What's the military term for when you pull out from an area? [02:01:14] Speaker C: Retreated? [02:01:15] Speaker B: Yes. Well, no, there's another worship. [02:01:17] Speaker A: No, there's another one they have pulled. [02:01:20] Speaker B: Out of port is plain Lisa. Unoccupied because. Because the warriors of the well showed up with an obsidian dragon and attempted to assassinate the general, and they lost, like, a thousand people, so. And also, you're aware that, like, some of the other events about threatening generals lives, that, like, the empire has retracted in. It's pulled back from its furthest expansions. So, like, they fully conquered. Oh, my goodness. The area to the north. [02:01:51] Speaker A: Wow. [02:01:52] Speaker B: They fully conquered that. That northeastern most area of the continent, and then they just pulled out of it. So you are aware that, right now, Porus plainly saw is one of the safer places in the world, or certainly to be. Like, if you're gonna be at the border at the edge of the empire, it's about as safe as it gets. And, I mean, like, if you had a bounty hunter just walking around going, like, man, I sure want to get those fun guys. That's, like, a danger. But other than that, barring anything unforeseen, porous penny saw is a very safe place. [02:02:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. [02:02:23] Speaker B: Now, there is also a possibility that rumor of the Dolgoth killers has spread. But, you know. [02:02:30] Speaker A: Yeah, that's the thing. [02:02:32] Speaker B: It's just those poor tatoes and those po tatoes. [02:02:34] Speaker A: There's bounties possible. Just. Just so we're all, like, aware while we're there, there are possible bounties, and a hag does reside on Magic Lane that you guys have some history with, if I remember correctly. [02:02:49] Speaker D: He's not gonna come out of her own home. It's fine. [02:02:53] Speaker A: I mean, I still got the necklace, so. [02:02:56] Speaker D: Yeah. Um, I say we go and find a tavern. Like, let's just go find a nice. [02:03:02] Speaker A: Oh, I know a tavern. [02:03:04] Speaker D: I don't want to stay at that tavern. [02:03:06] Speaker A: I'd love some honeybird. [02:03:12] Speaker B: What does the party do? [02:03:14] Speaker D: I touch the tree. [02:03:17] Speaker B: Okay. Tease tree stride again. [02:03:19] Speaker D: I draw a little door on it. [02:03:20] Speaker B: The edges of the door, cast up in golden fire in the wood, dissolves into the opaque image do the fun guys run through. [02:03:29] Speaker D: I go through. Very excited. [02:03:31] Speaker C: This talented. [02:03:33] Speaker D: Can I ask a question for you? [02:03:34] Speaker B: Uh huh. [02:03:36] Speaker D: Can you put a tree. Can I. Can there be a tree that I saw somewhere in the city, some park? I don't know. I don't want to. [02:03:44] Speaker B: Dear goodness. I don't care that much. Yeah, there's one near outside the city. And you guys get there. It's. It's not a big thing. Absolutely. Yeah. Once players start screwing around with teleport, when it's plot relevant, you got to monitor some stuff, but otherwise, you're just like, yeah, okay, do your thing. I don't care because it's just managing. That is tedious. So you guys step through a tree at the border of the city, use some dope magic to get in. I don't care. And does. You all are does tello. [02:04:20] Speaker A: And does the raccoon come? [02:04:22] Speaker D: I pull tello if I want to go. [02:04:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Teller definitely goes. Um, well, it might. [02:04:29] Speaker C: It's a sensitive area. [02:04:31] Speaker D: Yeah, it was where he was employed. [02:04:36] Speaker A: I don't know. [02:04:38] Speaker B: And if you, uh. Do you bring the raccoon with you, Greta? [02:04:44] Speaker C: An invitation. [02:04:47] Speaker B: Okay. Then the raccoon follows near behind you. And the fun guys have returned to Port Rose von Lisson. And you all are walking around the hexagonally organized massive grace light stone metropolis of the second largest city again. And the party has returned to the first big city they were at together at the beginning of their adventure almost a year ago, and for us, literally almost three years ago. So you guys return back to Portsmouth. [02:05:24] Speaker D: I want to go to that lady that went to rehab and see if she stayed clean. What? [02:05:30] Speaker B: You could suddenly go hunting her down? [02:05:32] Speaker D: She's right next to the city gates. [02:05:34] Speaker B: Is that the first? Well, the city is. Is, like, half the quarter provincial area of New York and has many gates, but you could certainly go track that area down and visit her. Oh, you're popping off, Abby. [02:05:51] Speaker C: Oh. What did you say? Yes, brother. [02:05:53] Speaker B: Oh, are you hopping off? [02:05:55] Speaker C: I am. [02:05:55] Speaker B: Okay, let me. Let me ask. It's. It's okay. There's no pressure. Do we want to call it here tonight, or do we want to do some small things with you two? I'm fine. [02:06:03] Speaker C: I don't mind, just in case that wasn't. [02:06:06] Speaker B: But I don't mind doing. [02:06:08] Speaker D: We won't do anything. [02:06:09] Speaker B: Okay. [02:06:09] Speaker D: We'll skip some. We'll keep away from magic. [02:06:12] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm not gonna get a tattoo without Greta, because I want to do that with Greta. I'm just gonna maybe hang out in a tavern or something, cuz I'm good with that. [02:06:24] Speaker C: Okay. Do I need to know? [02:06:26] Speaker D: You could. You can just hang up. [02:06:28] Speaker C: I can hang up. Okay. [02:06:32] Speaker B: Good night. Congrats on being a paladin. [02:06:37] Speaker D: I would be a paladin too. [02:06:39] Speaker E: Okay, before. [02:06:40] Speaker A: Wait. As we come out of the tree, I look to, I look to. What's your name? Boz. [02:06:48] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:06:50] Speaker A: I look at you and I go, wait, then when I met you guys, didn't you guys put a bunch of money in a bank here? [02:07:00] Speaker D: At the time, it felt like a lot of money, but now it was like, it was probably $5 compared to what we have now. I was like, it was a couple hundred gold, basically. [02:07:10] Speaker A: What about interest? Like, did it grow? [02:07:12] Speaker D: I mean, maybe a year. I mean, if it's an 8%, I. [02:07:15] Speaker B: Mean, that's 216 gold. [02:07:18] Speaker A: I didn't. Enough to like, ask, like, hey, how much money you got? But now I feel like I have enough. We have enough, you know, back and forth to know, like how much money you got on the bank, you know. [02:07:28] Speaker B: And do you have a note of how much money? [02:07:35] Speaker A: We'll go back and I'll go back and listen or something. [02:07:39] Speaker D: That bank tried to kill us. Wait, what? I'm gonna go take the box. I could take the box. [02:07:46] Speaker B: So a super important note really quickly, is that the bank, as you understand it, just facilitated a deal that they were supposed that they were paid to facilitate. The bank, unless otherwise secretly known, is not a criminal organization. It's a never trust the bank and a very wealthy man. I mean, I'm not. I am not saying that I have great faiths in the moral intentions of banks in the real world, but that like, I mean, Count Al Gweeds were definitely facilitated by Al Gweed and a very wealthy member of the bank, or, well, customer of the bank said, hey, can you set up a meeting? And the bank was like, yeah, okay. [02:08:26] Speaker A: So this bank money, cool. We can figure that out later if you needed. Like go through your notes or something and figure out or find a receipt. [02:08:38] Speaker D: Usually the bank knows how much you have there. I could just go to the bank and ask them. They should have the spinevorous guy was. [02:08:44] Speaker A: Telling this bank doesn't buy. [02:08:48] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [02:08:48] Speaker B: You guys know that scene in Rudolph the red nosed reindeer from like the fifties where the loses all his teeth and inexplicably, the way that the puppeteers trying to demonstrate that is just with his open mouth and gums, rubbing his fingers along with, I feel like that. [02:09:05] Speaker A: Well, we'll go there in a little bit. We'll go there later in the day. Balls. [02:09:13] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. You know what we should do? I should. I should go into the street and y'all some stuff about the brass hand. Again, no. Than taken into front of the countess. And then she could be like, it's you guys. And I'm like. [02:09:32] Speaker A: As much as I love, like, the whole matching thing. Balls. I'm okay with being the only one in the group not having that. That part matching you two tello, don't you agree? [02:09:47] Speaker B: Tell us guys. You can. Yeah, that's what. That's. Yeah, that's. No, I don't want to do it that way. [02:09:54] Speaker D: All right. It was a nice brand. I got it voluntarily. Um, wait, I don't. [02:10:01] Speaker A: What? [02:10:01] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. You have a brand. Dude, I totally forgot about that. [02:10:04] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't realize you got it voluntarily. I thought you all, like, were branded. [02:10:08] Speaker D: With Craig, and I was like. [02:10:09] Speaker A: And now you're, like, besties with the lady that branded you. [02:10:12] Speaker D: Apparently he said she still wanted us to have a good experience in the. [02:10:16] Speaker A: City, so it's usually something you don't hear after you get branded. [02:10:22] Speaker D: But I also am probably a good reason why she's still alive, so she owes me. [02:10:26] Speaker A: Okay, I'm gonna go find some honey bread. [02:10:29] Speaker B: Boom. All right. Okay. Are we going to the warm horse? [02:10:38] Speaker D: Can I stop at the stable real quick? The broken down one. [02:10:42] Speaker B: Okay, so the party. The party takes a tr. Oh, man. I have to decide what's happening here. [02:10:46] Speaker A: Wow. [02:10:47] Speaker B: Okay. The party tanks. Well, if we're gonna be doing this, then I need to put on the truly classic music. So the party takes a roundabout trek up around the edge of the city. And when you guys are in more key locations later, we'll figure out how you're disguising yourselves, but I really don't care right now. So, the party treks up along the border wall, and you make your way back down to the degenerated, just ruined stables where you found that one lady. And I'll tell you what, boss. Can you give me an odds or evens? [02:11:28] Speaker D: Odd. Because I'm an odd guy. [02:11:33] Speaker B: He's Daniel's wedding dice. Nothing. Okay. Amazing. [02:11:40] Speaker D: It always works. I have a lot of oz or evens roll in, like, a year. I just want to say, now you. [02:11:47] Speaker A: Will knock on wood. [02:11:48] Speaker B: It's crazy how long it's worked for Boz. As you make your way back down to the stables. Wow. They're in pretty good condition. A lot of the wood slats that had come unnailed before have been realigned, set back in and re nailed. The main building has been repainted. There was a hole in the roof that's been thatched over. It's a perm. It's a like. It's like a temporary fix, but it looks like it could be made permanent. And you can see horses, healthy horses, in the stable outside. And the feed looks fresh. And you even see, um, a, um. There's a tiefling fellow walking around, working the stables. He's an older looking guy. Pot belly. He's got kind of like. Like a brownish purple skin. And he's got these two stubby horns that come off really wide set on the head. It's kind of like a tall, thin head. And he's a short guy who's also very thin. He's, like, the shortest tiefling you've ever seen. And his legs are fully, like, the backward knees and the hooves at the bottom. And he has a short tail coming out of the back that looks like it got, like, kind of cut at one point and has wraps over it. And he has, like, a dark brown tabardon with a white cloak underneath. And he's just sitting there kind of shoveling hay. And he's got, like, these little old cracked spectacles on. He's just shoveling hay at the edge of the horse tables. [02:13:11] Speaker D: Say, hey, there is the lady that owned this stable. Is the owner still the same? [02:13:21] Speaker B: Who's asking? [02:13:24] Speaker D: Buzz. [02:13:26] Speaker B: He scratches some stubble. Buzz? [02:13:31] Speaker D: Yeah, my name is Buzz. [02:13:36] Speaker B: Where you from, Buzz? [02:13:38] Speaker D: Here and there. I'm interested in some horses, and I. I was wanting to speak with the. [02:13:44] Speaker B: Owner, and I want to clarify, are you interested in some horses, or are you interested and some horses? [02:13:53] Speaker D: Oh, no, I'm sorry. [02:13:55] Speaker A: What does that mean? [02:13:56] Speaker D: I'm interested in some horses? [02:14:00] Speaker B: You and I both know what you meant by that. But just to clarify, because the inflection was a little hard to read here. Are you interested in some horses? Are you interested in some horses? [02:14:11] Speaker D: I'm interested in some horses. [02:14:14] Speaker A: Yeah, I think I am, too. [02:14:17] Speaker B: Did you pick up on the number? Okay, so the first one was one cough. And the second one was two. [02:14:22] Speaker D: Oh, I don't have a cough. [02:14:25] Speaker B: All right. And he just put the pitchfork down and walks. It clops inside, hears him talking for a little bit, and he walks, and he walks back out, and he goes, Gabe. Buzz, how do we know you're serious about these horses? [02:14:47] Speaker D: Ask me if I'm a cop. Cause if I am, I have to tell you the truth. But if I'm not a cop. Then I can tell you. What's a cop like a guard? I don't know. What do they call the guard? [02:14:57] Speaker B: A city guard. Are you a city guard? [02:14:59] Speaker D: No, I'm not a city guard. Do I look a persuasion check, boss? [02:15:02] Speaker B: Pick a persuasion check. [02:15:04] Speaker A: Ro is looking over at tello and, like, mouthing, like, oh, tello has walked. [02:15:09] Speaker B: 30Ft away and pretended like he doesn't. [02:15:11] Speaker D: No, I'm sorry. He's at 27. I'm not trying to roll. Just do a perspective check this time. [02:15:18] Speaker B: Rolling. He gets really close up to you and looks up at you. He's scratching his little, like, scruff. He goes, yeah, you don't look like a guard. Okay, follow me, follow me, follow me, follow me. And you guys clap through. And it's very much the same layout as it was all that time ago. It's next to that larger barn where you can hear animals winning from inside. It's all very clean and well kept. The floors are well swept. And there is still that. That l shaped counter right at the entrance with that little walk up where someone can stand. But there are no longer any horses kept in here. Now it's all just, like, boxes stacked. And, like, a storage area, it's already cleaned. They've made a couple racks where, like, tools can be hung up. And he walks in and he goes, these are the guys. Jenny, I'm gonna go get some of the horses from the back. And you just talk to them for now. And from behind the counter that you can't hear, you. That you can't see, you hear? [02:16:12] Speaker A: Okay. [02:16:13] Speaker B: I'll see to what they're taken care of. And then you guys here and walking, padding up from step to step. A little grung lady. An old, old, little grung lady in this tight little green dress that's. The colors are very faded. Gets up and she's like a poison dart frog. She's got dark navy skin with all these black splotches on her wide, shallow head. And her eyes are huge. Standing up at the top of it, they're this powerful fiery orange. And she lays one hand down on the counter and the other one across it. And she goes, so I hear you guys are interested in some horses. [02:16:52] Speaker D: Zachary, how'd you get into the horse? [02:16:55] Speaker B: Oh, no. Very different person. Very different person. And she goes, how did you become acquainted with horses? [02:17:03] Speaker D: Sorry. I was here a long time ago. The. I guess the prior owner of the establishment. I was purchasing horses from her. You know, if she's doing all right. [02:17:15] Speaker B: Well, I don't know, she sold this place to me months ago. [02:17:18] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [02:17:20] Speaker B: No, I mean, she's. I don't know. Yeah, she joined some clerical order. I don't know. [02:17:27] Speaker D: Good for her. Good for her. [02:17:29] Speaker B: Yeah. But anywho, let's get back to the horses. How much are you willing to pay for the premium? [02:17:38] Speaker A: I would like to clarify something. Hi. Hello. [02:17:42] Speaker E: Um, hello. [02:17:43] Speaker D: I opened my bag, and I'm like, spectacularly not platinum. [02:17:46] Speaker A: Thank you. You too. What are these? What are these horses? [02:17:53] Speaker D: How pure are these horses? [02:17:54] Speaker B: Her eyes narrow, and she looks at you, and she goes, you don't know what you're in here buying. [02:18:01] Speaker A: No, I just followed my friend. [02:18:04] Speaker B: And she points, and then she looks at you, and she goes all in. Spectacular. Are you serious about these horses? Because if she's not and you're not, I don't know why we're talking. [02:18:15] Speaker D: I pull up a platinum. [02:18:19] Speaker B: We're good. [02:18:19] Speaker D: We're good. [02:18:19] Speaker B: I'm so sorry. Don't leave. Don't leave. Don't leave. Okay, well, when I say that they were made by the finest hands in a holm cove, I don't know. I mean, I'm talking full joint movement. I'm talking articulated features. We've got colors, right? These are corroborated. Okay. When I say, this is the best you're gonna get, this is the best you're gonna get. And then her tongue slips out from her mouth, licks all the way up over an eye, cleans it, and goes back into her mouth. [02:18:52] Speaker A: Ro bites her lip. [02:18:54] Speaker B: Okay? And she goes, how about. How about we clarify things a little bit? Clearance. And then from the back, you hear 1 second, and there's clip clop, clip clop, clip clop. And apparently Clarence the tiefling walks up and goes, I got the looks over at the grung lady horses. And he puts the little chest up on the table, slides it forward, and the grunt lady goes, wait. And then she opens her mouth, and her tongue roll to the side, and she pulls a key out from under her tongue, and then sticks it in the box and unlocks it, puts it back on her tongue, and her eyes get back together, and she goes, get a load of these. And then she opens up the chest, and inside are some of the most finely made, collectible wooden figures you have ever seen. And there are clearly abstract interpretations going off of gathered knowledge of varying reputability. But this is clearly supposed to depict different members of the warriors of the well. And as you guys look through, oh, there's a. There's a row figure in there. And oh, there's a bozz figure. None of the other fun guys, but. [02:20:19] Speaker D: I would like, ma'am, no jokes. [02:20:21] Speaker B: And they're not perfect, but the broad strokes line up really well. And she pulls them up, she goes, wait, wait, wait, watch. And she picks up a little Janice figurine. And she moves, and the arm, the wooden arm is in a joint with a metal, a metal casing that has a point. And the arm pivots up and she goes, wait. And she moves, and the forearm can move too. And she goes, and she's moving back and forth, and like a figurine that can move like that you guys have never seen in locked positions. She goes, it's pretty spectacular. She puts it back in the box. These aren't like. [02:20:58] Speaker A: These aren't like voodoo dolls, right? [02:21:01] Speaker B: What's up with. [02:21:03] Speaker A: Never mind. [02:21:04] Speaker B: This lady has no idea what she's talking about. You shiny guy. What are you talking here? [02:21:08] Speaker D: Listen, I, how about I make you a deal, okay? I want to invest in this business. [02:21:16] Speaker B: Tongue licks an eye. [02:21:19] Speaker D: I think there can be more than action figures. I think we can have paintings, we can have puzzles, there can be millions of toys. I want to finance this business growth, okay? I can offer you 30 platinum for 51% of the business. [02:21:44] Speaker A: Shark taking a shark tank. [02:21:48] Speaker B: Her mouth opens up and her throat, her throat goes involuntarily, like expands outward and goes. And her eyes just go to the side. And the tiefling guy leans in and goes, she really know, or he really knows his horses? And then she goes, her like eyes refocused. [02:22:06] Speaker A: She goes, are you guys, are you guys set on the name horses? [02:22:13] Speaker D: Because I think we can call it something else. [02:22:15] Speaker A: You can call it something a little better right there. Needs action. And she points to the one that looks vaguely like Rose. [02:22:24] Speaker B: She looks at Lawrence and Lawrence looks at her, and then they both whisper in unison, action figure. Look at each other confidently. Boz, give me a persuasion check. [02:22:40] Speaker A: Can I? Wait, can I? Cuz I'm nodding along, can I? [02:22:44] Speaker E: 26. [02:22:46] Speaker A: Nevermind. [02:22:47] Speaker B: I was thinking about it, but then everything you were saying was so actively fighting what Boz was doing, I just considered giving him disadvantage. And I was like, no. [02:22:56] Speaker A: Okay, well that's rude. [02:22:58] Speaker B: You said 26. Pause. Yeah, Jackie, you're very patient with all my ribbing, and I appreciate that. They nod and then she goes, 31 platinum. [02:23:14] Speaker A: I'll throw in the one platinum, and Ro takes out a platinum and hands it to her right here. [02:23:22] Speaker D: If we give you the platinum for 51% of the business, where I think it should be used for upgrades, advertisement fresh coats of paint, new products. You could even hire some more people if you want. [02:23:33] Speaker B: Let's talk. Let's talk business. Let's talk business. And she pulls out, like, a leather glove, puts it on her hand and then reaches out to shake yours. [02:23:40] Speaker D: All right? I reach out and I shake it. [02:23:42] Speaker B: She shakes it. And then she goes, Lawrence, write up some paperwork. And he goes, I bought it. Runs from the back. And she goes, bosses, so trust him. Do you want. Do you want some of the figurines or. [02:23:53] Speaker D: Yeah, can I get. I take one of Ro and one of Boz. [02:23:57] Speaker B: Okay. She hands them over and she goes, what you have on your hands is. That is a prime bavina action figure. And then you've got. You've got a buzz. And these are both in mint condition. [02:24:10] Speaker D: Who's making these? [02:24:11] Speaker A: Yeah, are you making these? [02:24:14] Speaker B: My cousin. [02:24:15] Speaker A: Your cousin? [02:24:16] Speaker D: Okay. Because he's very talented. I've never seen. [02:24:19] Speaker A: Really good. How does your cousin know about these? [02:24:23] Speaker B: Everybody knows. [02:24:26] Speaker D: They're not figglers. They're action figures. [02:24:30] Speaker B: I'm not feeling fiddlers. [02:24:32] Speaker A: I didn't say fidglers. No, but how does your cousin. How does your cousin know what these are? [02:24:43] Speaker B: Look. [02:24:43] Speaker A: People look like. [02:24:45] Speaker B: Well, I don't know. A bar in town you can find in the entire city where you could bring up the names and someone doesn't have some sort of an opinion or something. [02:24:52] Speaker A: Bring up the names. What. [02:24:55] Speaker B: Where are the guys from? I don't even know this. [02:24:59] Speaker A: I don't know who the fun guys are. [02:25:00] Speaker B: The wise. Yeah. Bavina agreement. [02:25:04] Speaker A: No. No. Bavina. What? [02:25:08] Speaker B: Ravina Greenbuck. Okay, look, I think I'm gonna deal with the main guy. [02:25:11] Speaker A: No, there's Ravina Green, 31. And then Rowena Greenball. [02:25:15] Speaker B: And then. And then the camera. [02:25:16] Speaker D: Pay yourself a good salary. You need to be focused on the business. [02:25:19] Speaker A: So, like, Ro is like, go ahead and physically frustrated. [02:25:24] Speaker D: I hand her 30 platinum in the rows. One platinum. [02:25:28] Speaker B: So go ahead and deduct that from y'all's totals. [02:25:30] Speaker D: I did. I did. [02:25:32] Speaker A: Balls. Do I get 2% of year 51? [02:25:35] Speaker D: Oh, sure, sure. [02:25:37] Speaker A: Okay. [02:25:39] Speaker D: Trickle down economics. [02:25:42] Speaker A: I should have gone for more. I forgot. You don't know numbers that well. [02:25:48] Speaker D: We own a merch business of the warriors of the world, the fun guys. [02:25:53] Speaker A: And Ro is like, it's Ravina. And Rowena, she's just sitting up at the Kilton Ansel. [02:26:01] Speaker D: You can just deposit any profits for the far side of the business is there, and we can be. [02:26:08] Speaker B: I'm gonna take notes on all this when we're done. So that we can genuinely return to it. But just as a quick reference point, I just want to point out that a platinum is ten gold, or to scale roughly 1000 copper. And a copper can be converted to comparison for real world money as, like, $3. So I'm not calling this good or bad, but you all just paid this lady $93,000 for five. For 51% stake in a box of action figures. And I'm not saying that this is not a good investment. It could blow up for you guys. But that's what you just rolled up where you want some toys? And you said, here's $93,000. [02:26:52] Speaker A: We are Disney buying Marvel right now. Okay. [02:26:55] Speaker D: Yes, exactly. [02:26:57] Speaker A: You don't understand. [02:26:59] Speaker D: Okay. [02:27:01] Speaker A: We gotta get the names right, though. And the packaging. They gotta have the names on them. [02:27:08] Speaker B: I. Oh, my goodness. This is wild. [02:27:10] Speaker D: I deducted 30 platinum from my. [02:27:13] Speaker B: And I deducted one. Lawrence comes back. Lawrence comes back and brings you a contract, and you look it over. And I want to lean into boss not knowing anything about this, but they are also floored by the amount of money you laid down. [02:27:28] Speaker D: So it's a 22 wisdom. Okay. I got. I gotta be able to deduct something. [02:27:32] Speaker B: Intelligence are real different. [02:27:35] Speaker D: I know my inside is. [02:27:39] Speaker B: Between the two of you guys. I'm a little between the two of you guys. You absolutely have the skills to lay down. [02:27:44] Speaker A: I'm not an attorney, but I'm a lawyer. We brought it all the way back. [02:27:50] Speaker B: Bosworth, your incredible insight. These people are floored with your finances and are absolutely trying to give you. In fact, you guys have to go in and be like, no, no. You guys need to guarantee yourselves this. Like, they're not doing a good job writing this contract. They accidentally sell themselves out, and you guys have to help them. And we'll put down all the particulars on this contract after we're done with the session. This is so weird. But anyway, you guys own 51% of this business that is soon going to expand. Oh, lost. [02:28:21] Speaker D: Okay, here's what I. Here's what I think. We should try to get a public appearance of one or two of these guys here and try to drive profits and customers. [02:28:28] Speaker A: I think that'd be a good idea. [02:28:29] Speaker D: We could charge admissions for meet and. [02:28:30] Speaker B: Grease at this point. They are just. They're just, like, taking notes on everything you're saying, like. And you all. You all hear, Lawrence, what. What languages do you speak, ro? [02:28:40] Speaker D: I speak common, elven, Druidic, Dryad, Sylvan, and gnomishenhe. [02:28:45] Speaker B: Holy. Oh, wait, never mind. Pause as they're. As they're muttering to each other. You hear them say to each other in gnomish, holy crap, these guys know everything. And then Lawrence whispers, we have angel investors. And they just go back to writing. So I just. I just want to clarify that you all just paid these guys the value. Oh, no, that's gold. That's not dollars. You all just paid these people the value of a cottage estate to have them expand this business. [02:29:25] Speaker A: There's places for us to sign, right? [02:29:28] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Yeah. [02:29:29] Speaker A: So when we sign it, I sign it. [02:29:33] Speaker D: I sign a little b. I don't. [02:29:34] Speaker A: Yeah, he signs a b and I sign Rowena green bottle and I. And I don't say anything, but I take my quill and I, like, kind of hit it. [02:29:43] Speaker D: Like, I sign. No, no. Before we do that, I write up an NDA like, hey, don't tell people that we're the owners of this. [02:29:50] Speaker A: That's smart. [02:29:51] Speaker B: That's smart. [02:29:51] Speaker D: And I asked them to sign. That's part of the deal. [02:29:53] Speaker A: We are. No, you can boss. You could say we are angel investors. [02:29:59] Speaker B: You're never going to believe this. The listeners don't care about the details of this contract. We'll talk about. You don't know. [02:30:07] Speaker D: You don't know. [02:30:09] Speaker B: Jonathan does. Not the first time I've heard of it, honestly. But anywho, I can close all my magic shop documents right now. On that note, I think that's an excellent place to end the episode. Someone please take a note of this and put it in the discord for all the other players. Everybody gains another 0.02 levels. So now you're 11.04 and I will sit here and take notes on the contract you've made with these people once we're done. But listeners, that has been another episode of the Accidental Adventures. [02:30:50] Speaker A: Go check out figures. [02:30:53] Speaker B: Yeah, well, apparently in world, they're action figures now, but go check out the Patreon, if you haven't taken a look at it. There's all sorts of really cool stuff there. There's an entire mini series, a goofy mini series on there that you can only get there, which is a hot mess with a crazy twist ending. And we have six custom one shots that are on there that are only on there. And I think it's some of the best stuff we've ever done. We have reference arts and stats for the characters. There's just a ton that's uniquely on there. So if you want, you can go check that out. But otherwise, we just appreciate you for listening. Share it with somebody you like, leave a review, or, as we've established, share it with people you like and with your enemies. But otherwise, we want you to know that life is an incredible adventure. You're an important part of it. And skibity wat and dada. Yeah.
