I'm sure I'm using Cliff Notes, but, you know, flood. But I say he fled to a house that collapsed. I'm, like, giving him, like, I'm gonna make sure somebody's knows the deets. And it's like. And now he is stuck on foot in the cold wilderness, and we're gonna go chase him down. Okay, I know his name. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Her response is, okay, her response. [00:08:48] Speaker A: We always knew his name. [00:08:50] Speaker B: Yeah, you've always known his name. But she continues. What? [00:08:53] Speaker E: Says, yeah, never mind. I don't. The Countess responds, and she says, I'm glad to hear that someone is pursuing this vile snake. I will try to stay as far away from that as I can. Again, I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate your service in all of this, both in fighting this repugnant villain and in keeping me so informed. I appreciate your discretion. Before we long rest, he does Heroes Feast. [00:09:47] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Boz. While you all are preparing to go hunt, the countdown say that it's like, early morning. You cast Heroes Feast. And as you do, you are using your chalice. Correct. [00:10:10] Speaker E: Boz fills it up with whatever liquid we have. I'm sure we have some kind of water on the ship as we're all preparing, doing things. And. No, I'm sure he gives what he can muster, and then he takes a sip from the chalice as it kind of evaporates into air. [00:10:34] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. As the chalice. [00:10:37] Speaker E: You guys get the benefits of Hero's Feast. [00:10:40] Speaker B: As the chalice burns away, the mist that dissolves away from it instead coalesces into a massive banquet table just resting in the middle of the floating poor bed. It is filled with every delicious food the characters have ever encountered. Insane honey bread, the best of soups. Maybe this too, depending on how you feel about that video. Foods of boss's homelands from eating it. I'll tell you what, I'll read the step on your toes there. No, no, you're prepare for now. [00:11:17] Speaker E: Basically, for the next 24 hours, anybody who had a disease who's poisoned is cured. And everybody's immune for poisoned and being frightened. For the next 24 hours, all wisdom saving throws are made with advantage. And everybody's hit point maximum increases by 2d10. [00:11:36] Speaker A: And anybody wisdom saving throws. [00:11:41] Speaker E: Yes. [00:11:42] Speaker B: And Landon. Oh, sorry. [00:11:45] Speaker A: I was just gonna say that doesn't affect my condition, does it? Like, it doesn't take that away, but. [00:11:53] Speaker B: Okay, Boss, you can roll two to 10. And everybody get those temp HP, so row, you do get to add those on. [00:12:03] Speaker A: Okay. So that. So that I can. Okay, cool. Remember, HP sits on top of. Yeah. [00:12:20] Speaker A: So, like, if I were. If I were to get hit by fort and take away 14 hit points, then basically I would be sitting where I'm at. Correct. Take some food down to NA and as the party's eating, do they discuss any strategy or having a role play each other or are they just like, no, we know the plane doing it. [00:13:01] Speaker A: I ask Tallow if he wants to stay or go. And no matter what you decide, it's. Sorry, I just saw what Abby posted. No matter what you decide, it's. It's your decision and we're not. We want you to do what you need to do, what's best for you. [00:13:30] Speaker B: The delicious food went a long way for Tello, and for a moment, it almost seemed like. It's such an incredible display of magic from Boz and this moment of. Of relief from the tension of what was happening. It seemed like he had a reprieve. But as you ask the question, the glower seriousness comes back over him. He puts down the food he's eating. He stops, and he thinks. He takes one single furtive glance, kind of Greta's direction, looks at her for a moment and then looks back to you. Rohe takes a breath and he says. I have. I ruined the identity given to me. The good man I could have been. I destroyed. And after I destroyed that, I became with the Council, I was. And I don't want to be that either. The only good thing I have been in years is a fun guy. I just want this nightmare to end. So if it ends with the Count taking my life from me or us taking his, I just want the nightmare to end. I would rather die as a fun guy than live as someone waiting for the Count to come for him. I'm going with you. I. Does the party have any other exchanges or discussions as they finish their m. Any strategy to establish any actions they take preparing themselves? [00:15:43] Speaker A: I Am I going to teleport us? And I guess. Would that be the best way or tree? You could also try and use some of the other divinations at someone's disposal if Greta had something similar prepared. But if not, that's the case. [00:17:02] Speaker A: Can you remind me how? Because we haven't done teleport exactly. Like I've only done it exact places. I know. So, yes, basically I roll a D100 and what happens if I don't get in? If I get on target, since it's description, it would have to be between 74 and 100 if I'm off target. What's the difference in off target? Similar. Similar area and mishap. [00:17:31] Speaker B: Yeah. You appear in a random distance away from the destination in a random direction. The distance is 1d 10 times 1d 10% of the distance that was to be traveled. Man, that's complicated. [00:17:46] Speaker A: Yeah, that's why I was like my brain. [00:17:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I started reading that and then I got bored reading it. Yes. So we're going to go to bed and have time in the morning or after a long rest so we can plan it to where someone has SCRY prepared at that point so that we. [00:18:13] Speaker B: Can have a fur. Sure. You all are aware that the Count is traveling somewhere and has been for days. Part of the urgency that Miscor was communicating was to seize this information quickly. You could give it another 24 hours, but at some point, you will no longer be wandering through the snow. [00:18:36] Speaker E: You said that we had enough time to long rest. [00:18:39] Speaker A: Mm. [00:18:40] Speaker B: And you all took a long rest. That's why everyone prepared different spells. [00:18:44] Speaker E: Wait, I thought I just cast Hero's Feast. [00:22:21] Speaker B: Okay, if I subtract a seven from what he got on his save, that leaves me with a 21. So as you try to scry upon him. Yeah, he rolled a nat 20. As you try and scry on him, the connection fails and you are rebuffed by his magics. [00:22:41] Speaker D: Worth a shot. [00:22:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Hey, man, you got to shoot your shots. [00:22:45] Speaker A: Did he know we were trying to SCRY on him by that? [00:22:49] Speaker B: Possibly. Who knows? As now that I understand that we were previously talking about preparatory actions from the 31st. Did anyone have any other 31st actions, or are we moving successfully to the 32nd? [00:23:05] Speaker A: I guess we move on to the 32nd. [00:23:08] Speaker B: 32Nd. Now, the morning, the cold morning I was describing on the ship. I see the confusion now. I opened the section on the 32nd. We're only now moving to the 32nd. I'm with. Okay, so 32nd on the ship. Party is preparing. They still have. I mean, you guys could have. That means you guys would have gotten the benefits of Hero's Feast like mid afternoon yesterday. So you guys have like eight hours left on Heroes Feast. You have a bunch of time. So, honestly, more like 10 hours. So is the party taking any actions today? The 32nd? [00:23:50] Speaker A: I mean, if guys, I can just. [00:23:57] Speaker B: Try. So I'm going to replace that ruling and make it much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much simpler. If you get off target. Yeah, I'm just rolling. I'm just rolling a D100. Add her own per diem onto this. And I. I know I said that Landon and Micah had their per diem's, but Jackie, you were here. Your computer just wasn't working. So you have your per diem. Okay. So you could add your per diem onto this if you wanted to. And I would say that if you wanted, if you have inspiration, I would let inspiration apply to this as well. If you rolled the D100 and you didn't like what you got, I would let you spend an inspiration for rebuild. [00:26:49] Speaker A: Unfortunately, I don't have inspiration, but if I'm really close, I may use that. So when I cast this, I'm going to try to like with all the information that Madame Cornall told us. I don't think I would like I or I guess I in role play. I'll ask the party should I try and picture to like for us to land like on top of them or like I don't think it's going to work that way. Like it's a high chance we may not land near them. Tello stands just dead eyed fury pushes off of Greta's shoulder and walks over to the heart. He loads a bolt crossbow, cocks it backward, aims it down, points it. And he says, I am a fun guy. And he fires the bolt into the heart. And the heart and blood is pulling out of his soul. Much blood. An entire human body's worth of blood. Begins moving around your feet. And as the heart pulses, Tello pulls out a knife from his sheath, gets down, holds the bolt down and just into the heart and twists. Heart convulses and then turns to ash. [03:28:11] Speaker D: Yes, finally. Oh my gosh. Is there a liver? Is there a liver? Is there a kidney that we need to kill? [03:28:20] Speaker B: Wow. [03:28:21] Speaker D: Is there a. [03:28:22] Speaker B: Combat is over Count Darren. All guid. A rakshasa by another name. It's slain. No longer do exist on the material plane. This is the. And I can't believe it, Craig. If you had not howdy wanna doty doody on that turn, he had one more fifth level fireball and an unconscious Roe was right here. Antelo and Greta. That would have Been all three of these people down. Greta, One of the healers. There would have been only two people left capable of healing. That's not enough people to cast ry on all three. You only have one diamond. You saved some. [03:30:22] Speaker B: Guys, I don't know how else to put this. This combat was always winnable, but if you guys had not opened with that opener, somebody would be dead. [03:30:29] Speaker D: Yeah, it's doesn't sound very winnable. How is it winnable if one of us dies? [03:30:36] Speaker B: Because you defeat the enemy? [03:30:37] Speaker E: Guys, it's completely winnable. All we have to do is incapacitate one of the bad guys for the entire fight, zap one to death within the first two turns, and then scare one away before they can kill us. [03:30:46] Speaker A: Wait.
