[00:00:00] Speaker A: Could have. Welcome back to Barely D and D. This is your sort of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. I'm a wizard. My name is Blue. Oh, are we gonna do a letter question? I love the letter questions. Oh, man. [00:00:16] Speaker B: Maybe for the interest of time. [00:00:18] Speaker A: We have so much time. Okay. No, I. Okay, you don't. I forgot that. Well, we're playing Saved by the Spell. Blue and Martin are running to their dorm. There's not a range on this thing. So, anyway. [00:00:41] Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna cut in because I'm ready to go. [00:00:44] Speaker A: I'm ready to go. [00:00:45] Speaker D: So. [00:00:45] Speaker B: I see that. I see that. I see that. [00:00:46] Speaker D: I should have. [00:00:47] Speaker B: I should have come in sooner. I see you started DMing and I was like, is she telling me I need to go? Let's go. This is Saved by the Spell, Elusive Insights, part two. It's still part of the same. Now it's got two pieces, but it's part of the same one shot. Hopefully in a whole Saved by the Spell little miniseries. I'd love to have more with these characters for my note taking nerves. This is. [00:01:09] Speaker C: Good job, guys. Y' all made good characters. [00:01:16] Speaker B: Same title. All that without a further ado. That was a good crack, that one. Well, as well. [00:01:25] Speaker C: That may be subtly, like, so, like wanting a drink. That was like a Padlocan response I had. [00:01:37] Speaker B: But I think I'm coming back to Blue. [00:01:45] Speaker A: Okay. [00:01:46] Speaker B: You have just brushed into your room, opened up the door, assume you're there with him. [00:01:54] Speaker D: I would be if Blue would let me stay with him. [00:01:57] Speaker B: I'm like, yeah, yeah, of course. You guys are roommates. [00:02:00] Speaker A: No one, right? Yeah, yeah. [00:02:03] Speaker C: I feel like we follow. [00:02:04] Speaker E: Just don't go in the dorm. Like, we wait out. [00:02:07] Speaker B: You guys are standing in the doorway. In the room with both of you are your. You have two other roommates. You're inters. And it's not uncommon for intermediate rooms to have four people or three people. You only. Actually, I'll say you guys have one other roommate. Your other roommate is Kiln K I L N. Like, like an oven. You fire things in like a kiln. Yeah, that's what I said. And he's. He's a little human kid. He's like, really slender and meek. He's pretty short. He's got dark black hair. He's really freaking smart, but also really, really quiet. He has these big glasses on that make his eyes look bigger. And as you, like, kick in the door, both panting. He like, jolts and he's got, like, his little spellbook in front of him. He goes, you guys always Come in. So loud. [00:03:03] Speaker A: Do I know what class he had before this? [00:03:07] Speaker B: Yeah, he was a. Oh, let's say. I was gonna make a joke and say, yeah, he was a barbarian, but I realized your question made sense. He was. He was in glyphic theory before this. [00:03:20] Speaker A: Okay with us. Yeah, his. Wait, what's his name again? I'm sorry. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Kiln. K I o. Kiln. [00:03:29] Speaker C: Like a kiln? [00:03:30] Speaker D: Like the paint brand? [00:03:31] Speaker A: Yeah, like the. Okay, like a. Like a kiln, maybe. So like a pottery night. [00:03:37] Speaker C: I say. [00:03:39] Speaker A: I say, hey, Kiln. Hey, K. How is. [00:03:43] Speaker E: How. [00:03:43] Speaker A: How. What do you think of the dean's lecture? Do you like it? You think it was good? He's breathing really heavy. [00:03:51] Speaker B: He want. [00:03:52] Speaker C: I know. [00:03:52] Speaker B: I really. [00:03:52] Speaker A: I think it's really interesting when he lectures. Sorry. [00:03:55] Speaker B: Why do you guys ask me questions if you're just going to talk over me? [00:03:59] Speaker C: I'm sorry. [00:03:59] Speaker A: Go ahead. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet. [00:04:01] Speaker C: I'll hold my. [00:04:03] Speaker B: He points his little feathered quill and he. [00:04:06] Speaker A: At. [00:04:07] Speaker B: At Jen and. And Quinn, and he goes, they're not gonna come in here again, are they? Girls aren't allowed in here. You're always, like, talking with them for a second in the room. [00:04:18] Speaker C: Me still invisible, whisper to. Whisper to Jen. Should I sneak it? I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I did it again. I did it again. [00:04:28] Speaker B: I'm gonna put explicit on the episodes. [00:04:30] Speaker D: It's four kids. [00:04:31] Speaker C: Should I sneak in for the sake of it? And then. Then she's like, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. But she's still invisible. She's gonna be invisible the whole. As long as she can. Because she's like, any moment, Mert's coming around that corner. [00:04:42] Speaker B: When. When Genevieve talks to him, Kiln, like, blushes just a little bit in his cheeks, and he goes, they're not supposed to come in here, guys. [00:04:52] Speaker D: I know, Kiln. [00:04:52] Speaker E: I'm not going to come in Kiln. I'm just saying, hello. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Hi, Jen. [00:05:00] Speaker D: Yeah, she put on makeup today. [00:05:04] Speaker B: Okay. And he just takes a little sip from, like, a water. Some water tanker. [00:05:13] Speaker A: I close the door really hurriedly, and I run over to my pile of stuff. [00:05:17] Speaker D: Boom. [00:05:17] Speaker B: It slams in your face. [00:05:18] Speaker A: Do I have, like, a dresser? [00:05:21] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you have a dresser. You have, like, a trunk. [00:05:24] Speaker A: I. Can I lock my trunk? [00:05:28] Speaker B: Yes. [00:05:30] Speaker D: Okay. [00:05:31] Speaker A: I pick my trunk. I find, like, a little. [00:05:34] Speaker C: A little pouch. [00:05:35] Speaker A: And I pick it up. I find a little pouch. I like, hunch over it. And I look and I see that Martin and Kiln are chatting. And I go back And I take it. I do a little. I switch it. And then I bury it up under some clothes. And then I close my trunk. And then I lock it. And then I look at the key and then I put it in my pocket. [00:05:56] Speaker B: Okay. Excellent. [00:05:57] Speaker A: And then I say. I say anyway. Yeah, okay. And I turn around and I enjoy the conversation really smoothly. [00:06:05] Speaker D: What was that? [00:06:07] Speaker A: What was what? [00:06:08] Speaker C: Blue. [00:06:09] Speaker D: Blue. What was so important that you had to put back into the trunk? [00:06:19] Speaker B: Martin asks. Because you gave. [00:06:24] Speaker A: I feel like I really gotta do something. Huh? I, I. I pick up my. My. I pick up my bag and I go. I'm gonna go read at the library with Jen. [00:06:38] Speaker B: I need to go read the library. When killing them and me just looks at you guys and goes, if you guys are gonna start like another kerfuffle around here, I don't want to be involved killing you. [00:06:54] Speaker D: Never. You're never gonna be involved. The miscreant mages are not accepting of. [00:06:59] Speaker C: I'm not. [00:07:00] Speaker D: I'm not. [00:07:02] Speaker B: So wrong. [00:07:07] Speaker D: Yeah. But it makes people not join. Who doesn't want to join? [00:07:10] Speaker E: You know, it's been a few minutes. So Jin starts knocking on the door. [00:07:15] Speaker C: Door. [00:07:15] Speaker D: I kill. [00:07:16] Speaker B: Kill, like, jumps. [00:07:18] Speaker C: I did want to role play a moment with the girls outside as well before we actually. Okay. [00:07:22] Speaker B: Excellent. Excellent. The girls are outside the door. Yeah. Yeah. We. We can cut to that now. The girls are outside the door. [00:07:27] Speaker C: Okay. [00:07:28] Speaker E: I get tired of when they shut the door in my face. [00:07:33] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:33] Speaker E: I know you're around here somewhere, Queen. [00:07:36] Speaker C: I put a hand on your shoulder. I'm sorry. I. I'm so sorry I left you back there. I. I wasn't even thinking. I panicked and I slipped in the door and that was bad. That was really scary in there. And find out. Yep. That was on me. And I'm so sorry. You got a demerit? [00:07:58] Speaker E: No, it's fine. [00:07:59] Speaker C: It's their stone. They made it. They. They legit. [00:08:02] Speaker E: Okay. [00:08:02] Speaker C: But they were gonna come back and steal it from us. But like, it. They also was that guy. Seems like it's their project. [00:08:12] Speaker E: Was that guy in their room? [00:08:15] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. He was here the whole time. He's turned invisible. I think they all could turn invisible because they were talking about, like, we could use that. [00:08:21] Speaker E: We could use that against him. I mean, if we need to. [00:08:26] Speaker C: Why. Why do we need to blackmail them? Anyways, Here's a nice one. Do you ladies feel terrifying? [00:08:33] Speaker E: Do you not feel that something nefarious is going on with this stone? [00:08:42] Speaker C: No, I think it's just, like, their project. [00:08:45] Speaker E: I got the vibe. I Got the vibe from. Not from the guy, but from the two girls. Something weird is going on. They wanted that stone. Like, if it was just a project, why not just tell us? [00:09:00] Speaker D: They. [00:09:01] Speaker C: They say. [00:09:02] Speaker E: Why not just say it's a project and this is what it does for you curious younger students. [00:09:11] Speaker C: And I do think it may have been. I. You know why they did say something made me think. It's, like, secret. [00:09:18] Speaker E: See, I will tell you. I don't think Blue gave it. [00:09:22] Speaker C: I. [00:09:22] Speaker E: Blue gave them another fix stone. [00:09:26] Speaker C: No, no, they're gonna. [00:09:28] Speaker E: We had a signal. I pointed. I pointed to Blue's. I pointed to Blues. Her. Their. Her. His pocket that had the fake one. And that's the one that he went with. [00:09:42] Speaker C: Yeah, but then he gave them the real one. Right. Right. [00:09:46] Speaker E: Oh, maybe. [00:09:48] Speaker D: Maybe. [00:09:50] Speaker C: I. [00:09:50] Speaker E: It was theirs probably. Sure. [00:09:55] Speaker B: The do. And. And Martin and Blue are there. [00:10:02] Speaker D: We should talk at the library. Yeah. [00:10:05] Speaker E: Bye, Kiln. And she, like, winks at him. [00:10:09] Speaker B: Kiln just, like, has the book in front of his face and he just raises it up over his eyes and goes back to, like, reading it and pulls the quill up to his face and the door closes behind him. [00:10:19] Speaker C: Okay, so I was also. I was in the room. I was. Jen. Also, I was. I was in the room. I didn't see. So did. Did you try the. Did you try the flirting? Did it. Did it work? How does that work? [00:10:40] Speaker B: Okay, so we're role playing now. Yeah. So smash. But you guys are in the library. The library is on the. What floor did I say the library was on? Can somebody tell me? [00:10:49] Speaker C: Wait, it was like, seven. It was pretty high. It was six or seven. Let me go check. [00:10:54] Speaker B: Okay, Sixth. So you guys are on the sixth floor and you're in the library. The library is a really cool space. It is also interdimensional, but it's cool because it's just an arch. So it's an interdimensional door that's always open, and the pocket dimension is always bound to the material plane. So it's really cool because it's like an arch that goes straight into a wall that doesn't go anywhere. But when you guys, like, walk through it, it's got this big stone arch. And inside it has this, like, white marble floor everywhere. And all the bookcases are stone instead of being wood. And there. It's really cool because there are, like, there are these wooden tabs and slots that you pull out of the walls of the shelves, and they have scrap script on them. And if you can correctly read them, the books are Like a mage hand appears and pulls the book from the bookcases and brings it to you. And the bookcases go up like 30ft. So there are texts way up at the top that you need to get. But you don't have to get up there. You just pull the wooden. You pull the wooden slot out, you read it, you put it back in. The mage hand is conjured, appears, and it, like, knows where the books are, goes, and it grabs them and it retrieves them to you. Further back, there are shelves that have, like, locked metal grates in front. And you, like, have to, like the. The tabs you have to pull get increasingly complicated. And so, like, you have to be a more skilled arcanist to decipher the courses to get the more regarded books. And then some of them are straight up magically locked. And you, like, have to know the series to undo the locks and all that. So these are the shelves that run along the side. And then there are like little lanterns and glass orbs that float around the library, and they float around it, lighting it with a pale white light. But some of them also float lowly, and you can just grab them with your hand and take them with you. And you can take them to one of the many desks and then hold them there and leave them in the air and they'll float there, giving you light. Beautiful space is like, fairly well lit, but also dim in places so that, like, you can quietly study. It's not too bright. And if you want to go in there, you can like, pull the light to where you are. And there are like, they're like large tables where you can pull up chairs and quietly work. There are small, like tables with chairs around them in circles where you can do group study. And then in the middle there's this big, like, sort of like, like theater pit, like where it's like got concentric levels of chairs leading to a large space where a bunch of people stop and pull down books and read. And the, like, different levels are like padded in spots so you can, like, recline on them. [00:13:31] Speaker D: And it's. [00:13:32] Speaker B: It's a really nice space. You all know that food and drink is not allowed in the library, and taking books out of the library is not allowed. And the Institute takes that real seriously. You take a book out, it's a referral. You damage a book, it's a referral. And if you try to. You students are allowed to scribe, they're allowed to copy text. But if you take books from any of the Bard sections, that's A referral. And if you. If you take a book from. If you take a book out of the. I don't want to call it the restricted section. That's straight up. Lifting it out of Harry Potter, they call it. [00:14:19] Speaker C: But, like, that's also what you would call it. [00:14:23] Speaker B: From the prohibited section. If you take a book from that, it's just a suspension. You open it, you take a book out. That's it. Suspension. And the Institute's been pretty clear about the fact that, like, part of that is because not only is some of the knowledge in there, you're not allowed to. It's also like, some of those texts are dangerous, depending on your knowledge and your ability. So the Institute takes that really seriously. But you guys are. You guys are in the. You're in the library. What are you doing? [00:14:58] Speaker C: Prohibited section. Forever ago, early in the campaign. Yeah, let's do the new ones. [00:15:04] Speaker B: Ever ago, Janice and JB came here and they were like, searching for books. That was. That was back when Janice was still an enrolled student and Undeloth was there. [00:15:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:15:16] Speaker A: Wow. [00:15:16] Speaker B: And it's incredibly ironic that three and a half years later you would kill him. But, you know. Anyhow. What's that party do? [00:15:30] Speaker E: Well, you were asking if I tried flirting. [00:15:34] Speaker C: Okay. Quid is visible once we are in a safe place. And she doesn't, like, no one's looking at her like before. So like, so we. [00:15:42] Speaker E: I. [00:15:42] Speaker B: You do it right when you're passing by a bookshelf. Yeah. [00:15:46] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:15:50] Speaker A: Blue is still, like, freaked out and just like, really quietly, like, looking around and writing. And he's trying to be normal. [00:15:59] Speaker E: Blue. Did you do it? [00:16:02] Speaker B: Huh? [00:16:04] Speaker A: What? [00:16:04] Speaker E: Did you do it? [00:16:06] Speaker D: One million percent. He did it. [00:16:08] Speaker E: Did you give them a fake one? [00:16:10] Speaker C: Like, no. [00:16:11] Speaker E: You gave them a fake one, didn't you? [00:16:14] Speaker A: Is dm. [00:16:15] Speaker D: Can I do it? [00:16:16] Speaker A: Is there anyone around them? [00:16:17] Speaker E: A fake one? Right. [00:16:20] Speaker B: You guys have chosen a desk that's like, there are people, but they're also. You're like 20 or 30 people feet away from them. So if you guys, like whisper or speak quietly, no one's gonna hear you if you sh. [00:16:29] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm like saying it low. You did it, right? You gave them a fake one and nod. She like, high fives them back. [00:16:40] Speaker A: I. I point to, like a pocket on them. [00:16:42] Speaker C: Come for us. They're going to come. [00:16:47] Speaker E: They don't know where it is. [00:16:49] Speaker A: Yes, they. [00:16:50] Speaker E: They don't know our name faces. But I don't know where the stone is. [00:16:56] Speaker A: It disappears in. [00:16:57] Speaker C: There's not mini owl in here. [00:16:59] Speaker E: It disappears hard to figure out. [00:17:02] Speaker C: There's so many here, it won't be hard to narrow down. [00:17:08] Speaker B: Daniel just quietly painting while everyone's like, they're going to know. They're not going to know. [00:17:14] Speaker E: I don't know. What did you do with it? Do you have it on you right now? [00:17:19] Speaker D: No, he put it in his locker. [00:17:24] Speaker A: Smart. [00:17:26] Speaker E: Well, they can't get in there. They can't go in our door. [00:17:28] Speaker C: Expect it to be. [00:17:30] Speaker E: But if they break into our dorm, get in trouble. [00:17:37] Speaker C: I literally heard them saying they were going to go and steal it from us. That we're just intermediates. [00:17:51] Speaker E: Well, then we should go tell on them. And Genevieve gets a look on her face that they said they were gonna break into our place. No, that's not the case. [00:18:02] Speaker C: You're going to tell on them for something that I overheard when I was invisible in their room? [00:18:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:18:10] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:18:10] Speaker C: Never mind. [00:18:13] Speaker A: I think. [00:18:13] Speaker E: What else? [00:18:14] Speaker D: You know what would be interesting? [00:18:16] Speaker E: Oh, what, Marty? [00:18:19] Speaker D: I was just gonna say, if we bring it to a teacher and we, like, say, hey, this is what I'm going to do for my special phenomena thing, then, like, they will have to address it in front of a teacher and therefore. [00:18:35] Speaker E: Exactly. [00:18:36] Speaker D: Something else might happen. [00:18:38] Speaker C: They actually, I feel like. No, they. [00:18:40] Speaker E: And if they. And if they try. They mentioned. If they try to threaten us, we can just say we do not remember having that conversation. [00:18:51] Speaker C: Well, some deny, deny, deny. [00:18:58] Speaker E: Well, to the teacher. [00:19:01] Speaker D: Right. But they're also cunning, aren't they? They're teachers in this establishment. [00:19:06] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:19:07] Speaker D: Because Kendrick, you know, taken by what you said. [00:19:13] Speaker E: That is true. Kedrick did know I was standing outside their door for quite a while. [00:19:18] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:19:18] Speaker C: It's not by myself. She looks over at Quinn. [00:19:24] Speaker D: It's not thinking about the invisibility, though. Quinn. [00:19:28] Speaker E: Yeah. I cannot do. [00:19:29] Speaker C: I don't know what you're talking about. [00:19:33] Speaker D: I don't think. [00:19:38] Speaker E: Do you guys think that if I forget and she puts her, like, finger quotes up, forget to tell the dean about my demerit, that Kedrick will as well? [00:19:54] Speaker A: No, no. [00:19:57] Speaker C: I think Kendrick, like, personally has it out for you. [00:20:02] Speaker E: He does. I do not know why. [00:20:08] Speaker D: Well, I mean, we did do some exciting stuff last time. [00:20:12] Speaker E: Yes, but we saved this school. He should be thanking us. [00:20:17] Speaker D: I think so too. But, you know, adults are very different from their thoughts. [00:20:21] Speaker B: You all do remember that. You all do recall that one. No one knows what you did. Like, you guys know and a professor knows and that's kind of it. So the rest of the school has no concept. As far as everyone else is concerned. You guys just came up with a name for yourselves and started calling yourselves it. And then second of all, you also remember that, like, that faculty member was. That faculty member was doing something problematic that was unclear, was going to try something and never resolved to anything, and no one knows anything more. [00:20:58] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:20:58] Speaker B: And the professor who showed up, like. Like, thinks highly of you all and approves of what you did and that. That's kind of it. So, like, no one else has any other context for what happened? No one knows anything. [00:21:12] Speaker E: I mean, I know. I know they, like, told us not to brag or anything about what we did, but if Kedrick knew, he would be dead thanking us. [00:21:24] Speaker D: He would be thanking us. Yes, yes, yes. But, you know, exactly. There's all these other things in the way of that blue. What do you think we should do? You want to go to a teacher and say, hey, I like to use this as my little thing? [00:21:40] Speaker C: Oh. [00:21:42] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:21:47] Speaker B: Abby's getting into the character. [00:21:49] Speaker A: I just really want to get a good grade, and I thought maybe this would be good for my project. Yeah, I just. I just really want to pass. Oh, what if. What if I. I wrote about it for my project and I investigated it really thoroughly and then I gave it back? [00:22:16] Speaker C: I think we should tell the professor as soon as possible. [00:22:21] Speaker A: What professor did you. [00:22:23] Speaker E: What professor did you say? Were they the professor for it? [00:22:28] Speaker C: They were. I don't know, they were concerned that someone would take it to a professor, and they specifically mentioned Professor Tor. So that's probably who we. [00:22:42] Speaker A: That's what my project's for. [00:22:44] Speaker B: You heard Gallo say, does Professor Torbred still give that project? That's when he was mentioned. [00:22:53] Speaker C: Guys, I know, and I'm choosing to misinterpret that. [00:22:57] Speaker B: Okay, understood. [00:22:59] Speaker E: What if I made myself look like one of them, took the piece to the teacher and asked about it? Okay, good idea or bad idea? [00:23:16] Speaker A: Why would they not look like them? [00:23:19] Speaker E: We'll take a vote. [00:23:19] Speaker C: So you're gonna go to the illusion professor who is casting disguised self 24 7. Disguised. [00:23:30] Speaker E: Hmm. That is true. [00:23:33] Speaker D: Quinn has a good idea. Good point there. And during this time, I am kinda slowly looking around just to make sure that no one's hearing us or anything like that. Yeah, you're not coming in and. [00:23:53] Speaker B: No, no, nothing at the moment. In fact, it feels like Merm and. And the others and whatever that name is that they used for themselves that Quinn heard that was said really quickly, like. [00:24:08] Speaker C: Yeah, I started with the T. Nobody. [00:24:10] Speaker B: From their little group. Yeah, it's okay. It was quick and it was hard to tell. Nobody from their little group has. Either they haven't put together that you guys might be in the library, or they haven't come for you. One of the two. [00:24:21] Speaker E: Wait, are you saying that they also had a name for themselves? [00:24:24] Speaker C: Like. [00:24:24] Speaker E: Like us? [00:24:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:26] Speaker E: I didn't. [00:24:26] Speaker C: I didn't catch it, though. It just started. Fati. It was. It was like. It was like free S. It's like. I don't know. [00:24:33] Speaker B: Give me a history check. [00:24:36] Speaker E: Probably the losers. [00:24:39] Speaker D: Oh, you're so good at that, Jin. [00:24:42] Speaker E: Thank you. [00:24:45] Speaker B: What? [00:24:46] Speaker C: You get 14. [00:24:48] Speaker B: 14. Okay. It definitely. It definitely had two parts. The first part started with a T. And then the second part, the second name was like a th. Like a th. It was like something like that. It had two parts, two names. It sounded like it was a different language. What. What languages do you speak, Quinn? [00:25:20] Speaker C: Well, of course, in addition to Quintinian, I speak Palmen, Elvish, Dwarvish, and primordial. [00:25:29] Speaker B: It was Elvish. You remember? It was a name in Elvish. And it had something to do with, like, tomorrow. Well, you know. You know the name for tomorrow in Elvish. So that second part was probably Thryvan. And that is T, H, R apostrophe V, A H, N, th R apostrophe Vahn. That's tomorrow. But you forget what the second part was. But it definitely started with a T. [00:26:01] Speaker C: Okay, so the second. The second word was. You know what the second word probably was? [00:26:05] Speaker A: Trivon. [00:26:06] Speaker C: As in tomorrow. [00:26:08] Speaker E: Tomorrow. [00:26:08] Speaker C: So. So maybe they think there's some sort of change. The future. [00:26:16] Speaker E: Like the heroes of tomorrow or the losers of tomorrow. [00:26:21] Speaker D: Right? Huh? [00:26:23] Speaker C: Yes. [00:26:23] Speaker E: Much more like it. Marty and G. High fives. [00:26:28] Speaker C: Completely missing the point. [00:26:32] Speaker E: Oh, you guys gonna do your project on it or. [00:26:38] Speaker C: Only one of them can. [00:26:40] Speaker E: Oh, true. [00:26:41] Speaker A: Oops. Oops. Oops. Oops. [00:26:44] Speaker C: I don't think we're making it a month before they come and find us. [00:26:48] Speaker A: I. I turn to. To Martin. I say, how quick do you think I should get my project done? [00:26:55] Speaker D: Say again? [00:26:56] Speaker A: How quick do you think I could get my project done? [00:27:00] Speaker D: Depends on how good of a grade you want. [00:27:04] Speaker A: I want a good. [00:27:06] Speaker D: It seems like you'd probably want to take a bit of time on it then. Like maybe a week or two. Yeah. [00:27:20] Speaker A: Oh. [00:27:21] Speaker B: So what? [00:27:25] Speaker A: Should I find something else to do my project on? Or what if I took all the notes that I can and then, like, synthesize them later? [00:27:31] Speaker E: I think you should do that. [00:27:34] Speaker D: Okay. [00:27:38] Speaker E: But I'm not in the class, and Martin is a better student than I am, so maybe. [00:27:45] Speaker D: No, we're. We're Similar. We both get good grades, right? [00:27:53] Speaker E: Yes, I do get good grades, but you get better grades. Grades. [00:28:00] Speaker A: Well. [00:28:01] Speaker D: And he kind of like just stammers and he's just like, I don't. I don't know what to say here. [00:28:05] Speaker B: He can't dig himself out of the hole. He's like, yeah, that's true. And before we just spend the rest of the session debating who has the better grades, is there an action? And. And I do, I do love how you get into character. Roleplay. That's not a criticism. Is there a thing the party is doing next? Because we can also just time lapse. We don't have to play out the whole day in real time. So they could, they could like just be in the library for a while and do something else. We could take it all over the next day. Is there a thing they're doing or a particular course of action they're taking? [00:28:40] Speaker D: How about we spend the rest of the day writing those notes blue. Keeping it in our room, locking the door. And then if you feel like you've gotten enough notes and we can synthesize it later, let's do that. And then, I don't know. Is there a lost and found here? [00:28:59] Speaker B: Oh no. You know, that you can take. You can take lost items up to admit or to one of your GCs, and they will often handle it. [00:29:08] Speaker D: I'll talk to Kendrick tomorrow. [00:29:11] Speaker E: Dm. Is there like a specific time that's like lights out or like. Like that everyone has to be in the. [00:29:18] Speaker D: Their dorms? [00:29:20] Speaker B: Yeah, there very much is a curfew for. For initial students, they need to be in their rooms by eight. For intermediate students, they need to be in their rooms by nine. Or excuse me, let's say, let's say nine. 9:30. [00:29:40] Speaker D: Everybody. [00:29:40] Speaker B: Everybody has to be in their rooms by 9:30. For, for intermediate students, they need to be in their rooms by 11. [00:29:49] Speaker E: You mean skilled. [00:29:52] Speaker B: Skilled. Thank you. I did mean skilled. And then master students have. They don't have a curfew because they're basically just adults. Well, I know they very much are, but that being said, they do. They also don't go out whole lot. Like they have permission and all they have to do is like show their cloak or show like a little ID and they're fine. Probably like, like a metal, like periaped or something. But there are also. There are nightkeepers. You all know about the nightkeepers and they are the ones who enforce the curfew. So even like the mastery students and the skilled students who can be out later, they Tend not bother. Because like, I mean, like mastery students will frequently go about in the night, but then they have to get stopped by the Nightkeepers, and it's like, kind of annoying. And they have to show them their little symbol. Especially because it's not at all uncommon for people in the university to try and use illusory magic to make themselves look like a mastery student so that they can get wherever they're going. Not at all. I mean, if they. If there's a trick to be done in the school with magic, it's been done. And so the Nightkeepers are. There are two or three of them. They're all mastery students. And at night when they do their job, they wear hooded black cloaks and they put on these white masks that only have one long sleeve slit in the middle. [00:31:30] Speaker E: Sounds terrifying. [00:31:31] Speaker A: And. [00:31:33] Speaker B: The cloaks are enchanted to misty check to misty step repeatedly stop so they can just like. [00:31:41] Speaker C: Oh, prisoners. [00:31:43] Speaker E: Okay. [00:31:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:31:45] Speaker B: Well, when they find you, you're not. You're not murdered, you're not charged, but you are returned unpaintable referral should you resist demerit for being caught. Referral if you do not return. [00:32:04] Speaker C: Okay, well, in the meantime, I have a wild idea. I just like, had point like around to like where we are. [00:32:21] Speaker B: All three members of your group. Don't get it. [00:32:24] Speaker E: Yeah, what about it? Stay here. [00:32:26] Speaker C: We have a magical item. We don't know what it is. [00:32:32] Speaker E: Oh, look it up. [00:32:37] Speaker D: You're so good at guessing. Jin. [00:32:41] Speaker B: Martin says sarcastically after a second ago going the library. Does the party proceed to do a bunch of research? [00:32:53] Speaker C: I'll let her have this. [00:32:57] Speaker E: Sure. I think. I think we should do some research and help Blue take as many notes as he can. We go to bed. You guys sleep with one eye open to make sure no older kids teleport into your room. And we meet up tomorrow morning and see if everything is okay. [00:33:21] Speaker D: Sounds good to me, Jin. [00:33:25] Speaker B: So let's do this. Okay, we are going to now do something. We're going to get two different, like two mini group skill checks. [00:33:33] Speaker D: So. [00:33:35] Speaker B: Genevieve and Quinn. Sh. Man, I love that last name. Is it sh or Sh? [00:33:46] Speaker A: Sh. [00:33:48] Speaker B: Sh. I love that. Quinn, you and Genevieve are going to be in charge of studying. So you all can either roll two independent checks or one you can give the other one a help action. You're going to make an investigation check to try and find what you're looking for. And then Blue and Martin, you all are going to work at studying the object and getting all the notes down that you can. And so I would like you all to either you can either give the help action or you can make two different checks. And you all can either do an investigation check as well, or you can do our Karna check. So Genevieve and Quinn, either two different or one assisted investor techs. And then Blue and Martin, either one or helped investigation or arcana check. However you guys want to go about that. [00:34:42] Speaker D: Blue, do you. What's your arcana? [00:34:48] Speaker A: My arcana is I have a plus five. [00:34:56] Speaker D: Oh, do you want. Do you want to just have us both roll? Cuz mine's pretty similar. [00:35:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:02] Speaker E: And then also like to both roll. [00:35:05] Speaker C: My investigation's plus four. [00:35:08] Speaker E: My investigation is also plus four. So. [00:35:11] Speaker C: Okie dokie, let's both roll on a roll. Yeah. [00:35:17] Speaker D: I'm gonna use that inspiration. [00:35:20] Speaker E: I got a nat 20. [00:35:22] Speaker C: Okay, good. I got a 12. I think I'm still pretty shaken up. [00:35:28] Speaker D: Much better. [00:35:28] Speaker A: Okay. [00:35:29] Speaker C: Okay. [00:35:32] Speaker D: I got a 19. [00:35:34] Speaker A: Oh, I got a 21. [00:35:36] Speaker D: Nice. [00:35:37] Speaker B: Excellent, guys. These are some good rolls. That's Martin's fourth roll of the entire session. A lot of the session he went, yeah, that does on the planet, like a good idea. And then carried on with his life. [00:35:54] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:54] Speaker B: But. So starting with Genevieve and Quinn, you guys search and search and search. You spend the rest of the day doing this. You're here for another like five hours, which quite frankly, you're nerds. It's fun. You all look and look, look. And with excellent combined work combing the books together, you find nothing on this material. But that is an insight in and of itself, because you realize that, I mean, you haven't, you know, this is a thing you've spent much of a day doing. This is the sort of thing you could spend weeks combing the vast annals of this library for. But at first glance, you went to all the obvious sources. At first glance, it's not just that you can't find out what it specifically is. You don't find anything like this. This is clearly something transmutational. And you delve into alchemy quite a bit. But the way this is behaving just of its own accord doesn't even really lend itself to alchemy. So this is something very foreign to you all. Now, what that does tell you is that 24 is that whatever you're in possession of, it's got to be incredibly rare. I mean, this is something valuable, possibly monetarily, without question, from a. From a standpoint of knowledge seeking and magical insight, this could even possibly, possibly be something novel, maybe something new. Now that would be quite a swing. But from your initial sites, you don't find anything. But with a 24, what you do find is nothing about what you have, but at least the insights that what you might be in possession of might not be from here. You do find some transportation. Describe how there are materials from other planes which can behave differently than material from our plane does. And that's a lot of the insights you find from the library of your search. Blue and Martin, you all take excellent notes. And having received a 19 and a 21 separately, you all do an excellent job cataloging an impressive amount of information over different things. You all do an excellent job just not, not just taking the same notes twice, but one of you handling one whole level of investigation of it. Another, another set. You copy down some information from the library before you leave to use as reference and you all create the outlines for honestly the time you spent with the object on its own. You guys could maybe make some projects out of this like it would be much better suited if you had it for. For repeated days. But this is not nothing. This is. This is the skeleton of a good project. If you go back and add on it quite a bit. Now you also imagine your grade would be greatly aided by having the physical object to demonstrate, but because otherwise it's just really creative hearsay. But this is interesting. I mean, in one day you've gotten a lot of the foundation you would need to lay make something pretty. Pretty remarkable and meaningful. All of this research on both of your behalfs, quite successful in both fronts, has taken much of the day. Is there anything else you guys are trying to do before night or kind of. That's that. [00:39:38] Speaker A: I think. I think Blue is just gonna keep taking notes until. He'll. He's gonna go into the night probably. [00:39:52] Speaker E: Who, who is the transmutation teacher? [00:39:58] Speaker B: Would I. I can get that information. No, you definitely know Jin. [00:40:04] Speaker E: Have a good. [00:40:05] Speaker D: You guys. [00:40:06] Speaker B: You guys know all the. You guys know all the teachers here. That is. That's professional. Professor Kavrok. K A V apostrophe R O C K. So literally K A V apostrophe. [00:40:17] Speaker E: Rock. [00:40:19] Speaker B: And the K and the R are capitalized. It's a Dwarven name. The way that they have two parts like Rondgrim or. Well, I mean, you know, all of the. All the dwarves you've got. Yeah, there you go. Dunfuly. Yeah, let's treat it like that. Like CR Eggs of transmutation. A couple of you all. Well, first of all. [00:40:48] Speaker D: Three of the. [00:40:49] Speaker B: Four of you have already had a class with him. But Genevieve, you had two classes with him already and someday you hope to be his apprentice. As a skilled or master's student, you've spent quite a bit of time with him. He is a. He's a dwarf. He is one of the first favorite professors in the university or in the college. Quite a few people like him, very few people don't. He's vibrant, jovial, patient. He's renowned for his teaching ability. Like he's. He's a master of his field. But he's also just, just a. He was born to educate. He's well known for his enthusiastic lectures, his proclivity for getting lost on. On tangents. It's not hard to ask him a question and get him distracted from what's going on in class and his very hands on approach to like, projects and learning. You know him well. [00:41:40] Speaker E: Do I know where like he goes? Like, where do teachers go on like beckon evenings? [00:41:49] Speaker D: You don't? [00:41:50] Speaker B: Well, actually, no, hold on, hold on, hold on. You're in his class. You're not a skilled student yet. Skilled students are the one who tend to like spend time with professors outside of hours and all that. But you're also a tenacious student. You have been in a lot of office hours. You've asked a lot of questions. You know that he is one of the. So it's pretty 5050 for him. Some weekends he leaves and one of his favorite things is to like go into town and go to a tavern for an evening, evening somewhere. You're very much not allowed to go. And sometimes he just teleports right away to his own private residence somewhere else outside of the institute. But it's also pretty 5050 that if he's buried in work, he will remain here and he'll go to his studies on. On the floor and he'll work there with skills and masteries students, often through the. Okay, cool. It is night. Now. I assume that Genevieve and Quinn are in their rooms and Blue and Martin in theirs. Yes, Genevieve and Quinn, you guys have gotten lucky. You're in a very rare situation. Even as intermediate students, you are the only two in your room. This is really dope. And also kind of the result of a really hard exam series at the end of last year. So you had roommates, now you don't. They failed out. But hey, now you have a whole room just. Which is pretty cool. [00:43:31] Speaker C: We were the room, but then when they left, it's like, ooh, you can know. Yeah, exactly. [00:43:37] Speaker E: And Genevieve really spread out and there's like on the other Bed that's not being used. She's got stuff spread out everywhere. It's a mess. [00:43:48] Speaker C: I have like, I have. There's like an invisible line about like it is less than half, but there. There's like at least there's a third or a quarter of the room. But I'm like, your does not come here. Your stuff does not come here. [00:44:00] Speaker B: Yes, understood. And. And so it is. It is night as you all are in your space. And Blue, Martin, you all are in your space with Kiln, who has long gone to sleep. He not only stays in his room at hours when it is bedtime, he goes to bed when it is. When it is curfew, he goes to. He dies and takes himself to bed. Blue, you said you were up taking notes. Martin, are you working on your cards and you to sleep? [00:44:30] Speaker D: Yeah, I think I'd work as well. I think I just need to make sure that Blue is safe. You know, I even am like. Cuz we're. We're talking about like. Are we talking like bunk bedrooms or like you in college where everyone had their own. [00:44:46] Speaker B: No, no bunk beds. One bunk bed on one side, one bunk bed on the other. [00:44:50] Speaker D: I make sure everything's locked, triple locked, quadruple locked. [00:44:55] Speaker B: The one lock in the room has been locked. [00:44:59] Speaker D: I keep making sure. I keep waking. I'm like, excellent, excellent. [00:45:03] Speaker B: You keep coming back with the door. [00:45:08] Speaker D: Do you feel safe? Blue. [00:45:13] Speaker C: And blue furniture in front of the door. [00:45:16] Speaker B: Oh, is the mic dead or. No, I think the mic's dead, but she has another one. And you all, you work for quite some time. And the night drones on. [00:45:31] Speaker A: And there we go. [00:45:34] Speaker B: Now it's working. You all looking okay at the grandfather walk. Standing. Standing on the wall against the other side. And it's getting toward like 11. You're not far from midnight at some point. Keep working. [00:45:52] Speaker A: So I turned. [00:45:53] Speaker D: Do we have things tomorrow? [00:45:57] Speaker B: It's. It's the weekend tomorrow. [00:46:01] Speaker D: I'm gonna try to stay up as long as I can. Okay. [00:46:06] Speaker A: I think so too. [00:46:09] Speaker B: Okay. [00:46:10] Speaker A: I would like sealed by Martins. [00:46:13] Speaker B: Oh, okay. I'd like both of you all to give me constitution checks. Just constitution checks. This is not a high DC. It's gonna be DC10 just to stay awake. [00:46:25] Speaker E: Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. [00:46:29] Speaker D: Fudge. I got five. [00:46:33] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:46:34] Speaker D: Martin tried real hard. [00:46:39] Speaker B: What'd you get, Blue? [00:46:41] Speaker A: I got an 18. But do I. Do I notice that I'm losing Martin? [00:46:47] Speaker B: Well, at some point in the evening, you do notice because you are working and working in your notes and you look up and Martin is. He is like still up at his vigil, sitting up with his head leaned over his post, fully asleep. He's like sat up facing towards you, but he's out. [00:47:06] Speaker A: Okay, I. I go over to Martin and I shake him and I go, martin. [00:47:14] Speaker D: I'm awake. [00:47:15] Speaker A: I'm awake. I'm. I'm getting pretty tired. And I say, do you think we'll have to return it tomorrow? You think we should return it tomorrow? I don't know. [00:47:27] Speaker D: What? I don't know. I think you should take it to a teacher. We should give it to Kendrick tomorrow and just tell him we found something that was lost. [00:47:36] Speaker C: Okay. [00:47:38] Speaker A: You think I have enough note? And he like, yawns and like looks at the pile of Martin's dozing off. [00:47:45] Speaker B: In the middle of your talking. [00:47:47] Speaker D: Yes, you've got note. You've. You've notes. [00:47:51] Speaker A: Okay, okay, okay. Blue, like, with much less care than he had at the beginning of his note taking endeavors. He puts them back. He, you know, has a note system organization, but he puts them back. And he blocks the object in the trunk again and he goes to bed. [00:48:16] Speaker C: Okay, so with the. Are you gonna end it? [00:48:28] Speaker B: And everyone goes to sleep. [00:48:31] Speaker C: No, I'm not going to sleep. [00:48:33] Speaker A: What? [00:48:34] Speaker D: How freaking dare you. [00:48:36] Speaker B: Hear me out. Okay, with. With Genevieve and Quinn awake in their room and. Their rooms. Their room. [00:48:45] Speaker D: Talking about flirting. [00:48:47] Speaker B: Okay. But with Blue and Martin various sleep. The passive perception for someone. They sleep as the house rule here is half of their passive perception. So what is Yalls sleeping passive perception. [00:49:01] Speaker A: Nasty. I have a six when I'm sleeping. [00:49:05] Speaker D: Seven. [00:49:05] Speaker C: I literally. Zach. [00:49:06] Speaker A: Zack. [00:49:07] Speaker C: Zach. I'm telling you, since we're the library, I have been planning that I will do sneak into the room invisible tonight if I can. [00:49:17] Speaker B: Phenomenal. Excellent. Never mind. [00:49:20] Speaker D: Good point. [00:49:21] Speaker B: Let's cut. [00:49:22] Speaker E: Do you tell Jen this? [00:49:26] Speaker C: It depends on one question. The rule about. No, no, no. The rule about curfew is the curfew rule. We can't leave the floor. Like, if we're in the hallways, are we. Okay, because she can't turn invisible. [00:49:43] Speaker E: We have to stay in our rooms. [00:49:46] Speaker C: Okay, I'm. I'm going out unless she hears me. [00:49:52] Speaker B: Excellent. And you're keeping track of spell slots, right? [00:49:58] Speaker C: This is my last second level. Yeah. [00:50:01] Speaker D: Okay. [00:50:02] Speaker B: And so with your last second level, while you're quietly in bed, you disappear. You, Quinn, as you try to sneak out of the pitch black room. I would ask Genevieve if you're still asleep or awake, but I feel like Jackie's going to compulsively say awake. [00:50:25] Speaker E: Yeah, I would say she. She's like reading and, like, kind of dozing, but she's kind of awake. [00:50:30] Speaker C: Okay, she's not fully awake. [00:50:32] Speaker E: Give me not believable. [00:50:33] Speaker B: Give me a stealth channel check. You have advantage Quinn to sneak out of the room while Quinn is reading or while Genevieve is reading. You're Quinn. [00:50:41] Speaker E: And what do I make? Perception check. [00:50:44] Speaker C: Okay, hear me out. Or do I just. [00:50:46] Speaker E: Passive. [00:50:46] Speaker C: I'm a ghost. You got a nat 20. I got a nat 20. [00:50:52] Speaker B: Okay, give me your total. And, Genevieve, make a percentage check. [00:50:57] Speaker A: Rock on. [00:50:59] Speaker E: If I get a nat 20, I could beat it. But that's a rare. Did you get a nat 20? [00:51:10] Speaker C: Nat one. I got a nat one. [00:51:15] Speaker A: This is so good, Quinn. [00:51:17] Speaker E: That's beautiful. [00:51:19] Speaker B: You push the sheets down with your legs. You rotate the pillow with your body mass to slip under the blanket, just in case someone were to check. You slide down the letter using the edges of your feet. You consider, even though you're invisible, to keep your face turned away from the only lit candle so that the light that leaves your eyes as it goes back out of them does not appear as pinpricks in the darkness. You turn your face masterfully. Oh, she's asleep. And Genevieve is on her bunk with her book over her bed, one arm hanging off, just going. And you're like, okay. And then you walk up to the door, you open and step out, close it behind you. We're gonna have that 24. Well, let's get back to it, Quinn, you slip out of the room here on the third floor? Yes, on the third floor. Light. Silvery light is shining down through the stained glass. The stained glass. Its murals at night are more like muted colors so they don't create too much color down on the building below. So right now, it's like. It's like the. It looks like a white sand beach with dark waves coming up onto it. And it's cool because as the waves come up in the glass, the glass literally shifts very slightly. And so the colors dance across the walls of the multiple levels. And as the diffused hues bathe the different levels, everything is incredibly quiet and incredibly still. You watch as a single master's student steps out of a hall door, walks a length, opens another, and slips in, closes behind him. On the seventh level, one nightkeeper in dark robes walking silently, just patrolling in loops. I mean, they're students. They gotta walk. They keep themselves busy. You only see one. You know there's more, but you only see one. What are you doing? [00:53:28] Speaker C: I'm headed to the boys room. Okay, I'm gonna stare at the lock advantage. Like, do I know how to pick a lock? I don't think I have to pick a lock. A one and a two. [00:53:49] Speaker B: Yeah, that's your total there, buddy. [00:53:52] Speaker C: Six. [00:53:56] Speaker B: That seems to tread silently across the mezzanine down a stairwell. You're on the second floor now. You can hear your heart beating into your ears the second time in the same day. Oh, no. A nightkeeper. The dark hooded figure with the white mask catching just the light is standing in your path. They're walking straight at you. Step back to the wall. You gasp. Behold your breath. They pass by and don't seem to notice you're down the next stairwell. Oh, my goodness. You're gonna. Oh. You get the key in your pocket to your room, and you watch as your metal key has fallen all the way down the stairwell from the second to the first and all. [00:54:51] Speaker D: All. [00:54:51] Speaker B: There's one night keeper over here, another one over here, and you don't see the other two. Both of the white masks turn and one disappears, Another one disappears. And then they're like disappearing and appearing in puffs of smoke down one layer, down another layer, down another layer. And then finally, one appears on the commons area of the quorum, maybe 15 or 20ft away from where the key is. And another one you don't see, but you hear from behind you up the stairwell. You're in the middle of the stairwell between the second and first floor. And one of the nightkeepers is like, on the center, colored blue and white. Diffused light is dabbling over their cloak as they slowly. You watch the boots emerge in and out of the black, walking toward the key on the ground. And another one you can. Their shoes must be lightly enchanted because you can't even hear their footsteps. You heard one approach behind, but must be headed toward the stairwell. What are you doing? [00:55:53] Speaker C: Okay, I have a question. [00:55:57] Speaker B: Yeah, bud, what's that question? [00:56:01] Speaker C: They probably could tell whose key it is, right? [00:56:05] Speaker B: All the keys match. Very unclear whose key that would be. Actually, the keys to every room, they all look pretty identical. They're only enchanted to each door. They all look like the standard keys of the school. [00:56:23] Speaker C: Okay, I'm going to try quickly make my way back to my room. But passing the boys room. [00:56:42] Speaker B: All right. [00:56:45] Speaker C: Because I'm gonna bang on their door to wake them up and then keep walking. [00:56:50] Speaker D: Rude. [00:56:51] Speaker B: Okay, all right, all right, all right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you walk by, think someone is. [00:56:58] Speaker C: Going to invisibly sneak into your room and steal. Steal stuff. [00:57:02] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay, that's fair. [00:57:03] Speaker B: Okay, so, Quinn, you walk swiftly forward you notice as one of them up in your periphery, he was behind. He was behind. Starts walking before. And at one point, they're both closing in on you from two different directions. But you kind of like to quickly pass them. Can I get one more stealth check? You have advantage. [00:57:26] Speaker C: Eighteen. [00:57:29] Speaker B: Ooo, Quinn. You just, like, right by. And one of them, it passes like two feet beside you and bends down, picks up your key, holds it up in front of the slit in the mask, lifts up the expressionless face and looks up all around. Both of them are searching. None of them see anything. They're like, I have got this. And you're like, walking quickly toward the boys room. You watch as one of them puts the hand into a cloak and pulls out a little lantern. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. They like, snap. And this little white flame comes on in the lantern. And then this dim aurora of light. Oh, shoot. [00:58:16] Speaker D: You know what that is? [00:58:18] Speaker B: That's an invisible lantern. [00:58:20] Speaker E: Oh, no. [00:58:21] Speaker B: Wherever that radius of light gets to, you can see invisible things. So one of them takes the key and slips it away into their cloak. And the other one is walking around with the lantern, just walking the space. And the other one pulls out a lantern. And both of them are walking now with lanterns, the spaces of which are moving around the perimeter. The. They're pretty far away from you, and they're actually not intercepting your path currently. But if you walk into that space, you will become visible within the radius of that lantern. And so you're just like, walking really quickly, trying not to make too much noise. You pass right by the doors of the boy's room. You're there, and you're maybe 50 or 60ft from your own. You're at the boys room. Do you knock? [00:59:11] Speaker C: Could I get to my room before the lanterns range? No. [00:59:14] Speaker B: You have time. I mean, you could certainly try. It's gonna be close, but you could try. [00:59:20] Speaker C: I'm knocking out the boys room. I'm pounding on their door. I know everyone's gonna hear it. I'm pounding on the door. [00:59:24] Speaker B: Okay, give me. Give me a slide. Oh, you're pounding. Excellent. Thank you for being specific. And you watch us at once. Oh, it's so creepy. Like, it's not like horror match cut. They're just people with masks. [00:59:38] Speaker D: People. [00:59:38] Speaker B: But both of the masks turn and both of them start walking. The lanches on their hinges in their hands, and they're just walking silently, gliding towards you. The radiuses are getting closer. You, like you're jogging towards your room. You're definitely, as you start walking More and more quickly. The sweat perspirating on your forehead. You can feel it making the back of your neck wet and sticking your hair to your neck. You could get to your room before they get to you. But they're definitely looking this way now. And those lanterns are coming in within radius. You're treading quickly to your room. [01:00:15] Speaker C: Okay. We're allowed to go back to go pee, right? [01:00:20] Speaker B: You what? [01:00:22] Speaker C: We're allowed to go pee, right? [01:00:24] Speaker E: Yeah, Just to go to the potty. [01:00:28] Speaker D: Is there a bathroom outside your area? Yeah. [01:00:32] Speaker B: How does that work? I didn't think. Well, I mean, it possibly can't be a part of this system because then this whole thing doesn't make sense. [01:00:43] Speaker A: There's bathrooms in the rooms. [01:00:45] Speaker E: Is there bathroom? [01:00:46] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, they're pocket dimensions. Why couldn't there be. Yeah, there's a little of ore there's. [01:00:51] Speaker A: Four people in it. So it makes sense for there to be a bathroom in the room. [01:00:55] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly. Yes. There's. There's a little dragon. What are you doing, Quinn? [01:01:00] Speaker A: Sorry. [01:01:00] Speaker C: Go to not. I'm going to my room and going. [01:01:06] Speaker B: I need you. Well, the door's unlocked. You left it unlocked. You could just open it and enter. But you're aware that they're now looking the direction. So if you open it, they're gonna see a door open and close. [01:01:25] Speaker C: Yeah, but they gotta reach me. Like, there's nowhere else for me to go. [01:01:30] Speaker B: Okay. [01:01:35] Speaker A: You could just keep. Keep, keep walking. [01:01:39] Speaker C: Invisible for an hour. They're gonna catch me. They know what they're doing. I'm going into the room. I. I'm. I'm going in my room. [01:01:45] Speaker B: Quinn, give me one more stealth check to try and slowly open the door. Slip in quietly and close it behind you, because you're in their field of vision. But they're looking at the space from which, like, your room is far to the right of the door upon which the knock happened. So if you can slip into your room just slightly enough, they might not notice while they're focused on the other door. It's incredible things you can get away with while people are looking the other way. [01:02:17] Speaker A: Well, and really focused on looking on something too. [01:02:21] Speaker C: The boys opened the door to their own room. I'm looking. Is anything happening down there? They did. She did. [01:02:28] Speaker E: She did knock really loud. [01:02:29] Speaker B: She heard a loud knock. Did you. What are you doing with it? [01:02:33] Speaker D: Did we wake up? [01:02:35] Speaker B: Yeah. All three of you? It went. [01:02:36] Speaker C: Someone banged on your door. [01:02:42] Speaker B: It's definitely night. [01:02:49] Speaker A: Martin. What was that? Was that you okay? [01:02:54] Speaker B: Opened in this Time. What are you doing, Quinn? They're getting up and talking about it. [01:03:01] Speaker C: Dirty 20. [01:03:06] Speaker B: Okay, one last perception check for the nightkeepers. I rolled a three. [01:03:17] Speaker C: Those little slits are hard to look through. [01:03:19] Speaker B: Like a ghost in the night. You glide in. [01:03:24] Speaker D: And. [01:03:27] Speaker B: Successfully. [01:03:28] Speaker C: Did I not tell you? Quits. Actually, actually, a rogue on a door. [01:03:34] Speaker B: You slip in the door, and when you slip into the room, Genevieve is just completely out. Boys, you are awoken to a loud thudding. [01:03:46] Speaker D: I'm going to cast detect magic. [01:03:49] Speaker B: Okay. Your field goes out. Nothing out of the ordinary. [01:03:58] Speaker A: Except the thing in our box. [01:04:02] Speaker B: Yeah, well, I mean, it's behind sealed layers, but I mean, like, things come up in the room, but it's the things you're used to. [01:04:09] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:04:10] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:13] Speaker D: I don't see anything extra magical anywhere. [01:04:17] Speaker A: We open the door. [01:04:18] Speaker D: Open the door. I guess I will. [01:04:22] Speaker B: Like. [01:04:22] Speaker D: So, just for me. Is this all one big room with two bunk beds, or is this separate rooms? Common room? [01:04:33] Speaker B: No, one big room with two bunk beds. [01:04:35] Speaker D: Oh, okay. So, like, I guess I'll walk around looking for any types of magics. [01:04:44] Speaker B: Okay, you look around. Everything's the same. There's just a big knock at the door. [01:04:52] Speaker A: We have peepholes. [01:04:56] Speaker B: No, I try the door. The door girl. The door goes back to the material plane. You'd be peeping into the void of the astral. [01:05:06] Speaker E: Why did no one make a peephole that goes into out of the plane? [01:05:12] Speaker C: Arcade eye. [01:05:13] Speaker D: I checked the knob. [01:05:14] Speaker C: Come on. [01:05:15] Speaker D: See if it's locked. [01:05:18] Speaker B: You twist the click once. Yeah, it's locked. [01:05:23] Speaker A: Open. Well, I guess I'm standing there, so I don't open the door. [01:05:30] Speaker D: I mean, if it's locked, I don't see any magic of any sort. I look around like, I don't. I don't know. I, I. [01:05:39] Speaker B: There's just a really large. There was just a really large. A really loud knock on the neck. That's it. [01:05:46] Speaker D: Blue. Do you want me to check to see if it's still here, or am I good to go back to bed? [01:05:52] Speaker A: Did we open the door or do you want to check who it is? [01:05:55] Speaker D: I. We're not supposed to open the door this late, Blue. [01:06:00] Speaker A: Oh. Well, why'd someone knock on the door? [01:06:04] Speaker D: I haven't the foggiest idea, but I imagine it's because of what we have in the door. That happens. [01:06:12] Speaker B: You know, I'm fine, but I fell over in chair just then. I stood up and put my arm down on the handle and fully fell. [01:06:21] Speaker D: Out of my chair. [01:06:24] Speaker B: What did you say you guys were doing? Opening or not? Opening. I kind of missed it when I was falling. I don't. [01:06:29] Speaker D: I mean, I was just talking to Blue, being like, I don't know if we should open the door. [01:06:33] Speaker B: Like, you could just leave it close. [01:06:37] Speaker A: Blue goes and lays down, and it just, like, sticks on his side, staring at his trunk. [01:06:45] Speaker B: And you guys just both go back to sleep. And two nightkeepers stand there watching the door for 5, 10 minutes. They look at each other, they. [01:06:59] Speaker D: Ignite. [01:07:00] Speaker B: The lanterns, put the back of their cloaks, and they resume their watch. They know something has clearly happened, but they're not going to get near answers now. So they. They return to their watch. Are you guys hearing the sound of a cat messing with a bag? [01:07:13] Speaker E: Yeah, Y. [01:07:13] Speaker B: Well, it is what it is. So somebody talk for role play for a second. I'm gonna go fix this. [01:07:29] Speaker C: I go and I take Jyn's key and lock the door. [01:07:34] Speaker D: There you go. Okay. [01:07:37] Speaker B: Excellent. And your door is locked. So the light continues. Blue, am I correct in going out on a limb and saying you absolutely do not go back to sleep? [01:08:03] Speaker A: Yeah. No, Yeah. [01:08:05] Speaker C: I mean, he's like. [01:08:06] Speaker A: He's, like, listening. [01:08:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Terrified. Martin, am I correct in guessing that you totally went back to sleep? [01:08:15] Speaker D: I. Yeah. Yeah. Unless, like, Blue said something to me. [01:08:19] Speaker B: I'm just gonna be like, if they come in, they come in, man. I can't do anything. [01:08:25] Speaker A: Lou is. Is probably like, martin, do you think you'll be mad? And then. And then, like. And then. [01:08:33] Speaker D: Come on. [01:08:34] Speaker A: Do you think the gatekeepers will be mad? The nightkeepers? Do you think the teacher would be mad? If I don't have my. He just ask questions. And then you hear. [01:08:43] Speaker B: You hear Kiln's voice pipe up, and he goes, okay, so, one, this is totally not keeping me out of it. Two, that was a really loud knock. Don't like your friends. I bet it was Quinn. And three, so rude not get me in trouble with the nightkeepers. They're so spooky. I wish we had our other. And he just turns over, like, on the verge of tears turns over. You hear the sound of him putting his pillow over his head. [01:09:28] Speaker A: I'm quiet after that. I just. I just stare at my trunk and watch it very closely. [01:09:33] Speaker D: Okay. I message Quinn right before I go to bed and say, I'm glad you're here. Good night. Okay. [01:09:45] Speaker B: Very far away and across a dimension. You do not hear the message. [01:09:52] Speaker D: No, no, no. I said kiln. Kiln. Oh, kiln. [01:09:57] Speaker E: I thought you said Quinn as well. [01:10:00] Speaker D: No, I know how dimension stuff works. [01:10:04] Speaker B: As you message, kiln. Kiln. Just respond, thanks, and that's it. It's about an hour later. [01:10:18] Speaker D: I do. I do also message Blue as well, because there's no noise. I say, good night, Blue. Wake me if anything happens. I'm going to bed now. [01:10:29] Speaker A: You respond to message or not? [01:10:32] Speaker D: I don't think technically. I thought sending was the one you responded to. [01:10:36] Speaker A: Okay. I think you're right. [01:10:37] Speaker E: You can respond a message, but you. [01:10:39] Speaker C: Can just respond out loud. [01:10:41] Speaker D: Oh, you can't also. [01:10:42] Speaker C: I think you get a short response. I think you get a short respect. [01:10:47] Speaker B: Pretty sure you can respond. You point your finger toward a creature within range and whisper, the target. Here's a message. [01:10:59] Speaker D: The target hears the message and can reply. [01:11:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Not to make another mighty ne reference, but like every time, you can reply to this message. [01:11:11] Speaker B: That's also why I know. [01:11:17] Speaker A: I go. [01:11:21] Speaker B: Oh, that didn't come through. [01:11:22] Speaker E: You cut out. [01:11:24] Speaker A: I see. I say, I see. Thank you. I'm so scared. [01:11:29] Speaker B: Okay. [01:11:29] Speaker D: I know. [01:11:32] Speaker B: And Maul's asleep. Dag nabit. I moved it to another channel again. [01:11:37] Speaker D: Okay. He booted it. [01:11:40] Speaker B: And it's about an hour later with Martin fully asleep, killing the sleep. And Blue scared out of his mind, still awake. Blue. It's. It's after midnight. Now, you might get exhaustion at some point here, but about an hour later that there is one single knock at your door. And then after the knock, the handle doesn't turn, but the door. [01:12:13] Speaker E: They done dead. [01:12:14] Speaker B: Knock swings open and you, like, sit up in bed. [01:12:21] Speaker A: Wait, I. I lace. No, I lay still. I don't move. [01:12:24] Speaker B: Okay, you lay still with your eyes open. [01:12:26] Speaker A: Just like I lay still. No, I lay still and I close my eyes. [01:12:30] Speaker B: You know what? [01:12:32] Speaker A: I leave my eyes open. Oh, my God. I close my eyes. [01:12:34] Speaker B: Could you give me a little charisma? [01:12:36] Speaker A: I'll open again. [01:12:38] Speaker B: Could you get. You're an anxious kiddo. [01:12:42] Speaker A: Oh, I'm an anxious kiddo. But I have the freeze response because that is a. That's a 19. [01:12:51] Speaker D: So, you know, knock has a 300ft audible sound from does. Okay. [01:13:00] Speaker B: It does. [01:13:01] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:13:02] Speaker B: Very large knock. [01:13:04] Speaker A: 300Ft. [01:13:05] Speaker C: Do we hear it? Does it wake us up? We hear it. [01:13:08] Speaker D: Y' all are in a different dimension. I. [01:13:14] Speaker A: This makes it look good. [01:13:17] Speaker B: Knocks loudly and opens. [01:13:18] Speaker C: This is so stupid for everything to be dimensional pockets. They couldn't build dorm rooms with windows. [01:13:27] Speaker B: Sorry. They went with the rule of cool. And so as the rule of cool. [01:13:34] Speaker C: Would allow me to misty step to the third floor. [01:13:37] Speaker B: Blue. [01:13:38] Speaker A: Yes. [01:13:38] Speaker B: You are not. You are not frightened. So you have control of your own will. And action. But you are. I mean, maybe you are frightened, but you are not the condition frightened. So as your heart's pounding, you hear. And you feel like you hear something moving around, do you look over the edge of your bunk? [01:14:08] Speaker A: So I'm still staring at my trunk. And when I hear that, I peek one eye open. [01:14:14] Speaker B: Okay, as you peek one eye open, in the middle of the room, there is a pool of shadowy smoke. And you watch as a head rises up out of it just like an amorphous black silhouette of a head. And two eyes that are like a gray light peer up and look at you. And you watch as a long arm, claws, pulls out of the smoke and rises up with shoulders and another one. And you watch as it raises up and then all of the shadow crawls under the bed. No, it's a moment later that there's. It's a moment later that a hand, gloved hand, reaches in. It's only an instant later that a gloved hand reaches in the door. And the masked face of a nightkeeper looks in. He looks around the space, looks up at you. The mask looks right up at you. And a hand reaches up, pulls the mask down, and it's totally Kedrick. And he goes, okay, you've got to keep your door closed. [01:15:24] Speaker A: All right? [01:15:25] Speaker B: Keep it closed. [01:15:26] Speaker A: I sit up and I say, I'm so sorry. [01:15:30] Speaker B: And he looks up. He looks up and he goes, okay, look, just. I'm not gonna wait. Y' all just. I'm not supposed to take the mask off. [01:15:38] Speaker C: Just. [01:15:41] Speaker B: What was me. Just keep it all close. And he puts the mask on. And then you're in the middle of it. [01:15:47] Speaker D: You're in the middle. [01:15:48] Speaker B: Middle of going, no, wait, wait. That's the door I jump out of. [01:15:51] Speaker A: I jump out of bed and I. [01:15:53] Speaker C: Go open the door. [01:15:54] Speaker A: I say, can't leave in my room. [01:15:58] Speaker B: Okay, hold on, Blue. You, like, get up out of bed, you put your hand on the railing to go jump over the edge. And as you do, that smokey, shadowy hand reaches up over the side of the bed and puts it. Hand. Its hand on yours. [01:16:13] Speaker A: Jump out of bed. [01:16:15] Speaker B: Okay, as you jump out of bed, and the moment you hit the floor, you hit the floor, and your feet are standing in the pool of shadow. And the face lifts up out of the shadow, and you just hear a voice whisper, leave the stove on the floor at night in the calm and f. [01:16:46] Speaker D: Lives. [01:16:48] Speaker A: Oh, my God. [01:16:49] Speaker B: And the face sinks back into the shadow, and all the shadows dissolve into the darkness. [01:16:59] Speaker A: Yeah, I have a question. [01:17:03] Speaker B: Yeah, I have an answer, player. [01:17:07] Speaker A: I'm a wizard. Right? [01:17:09] Speaker C: I am studying your hair. I'm studying. And I'm Hermione. [01:17:16] Speaker A: I'm fully feathery, thank you. I'm a wizard. [01:17:20] Speaker D: I'm a feather boy. [01:17:21] Speaker B: You're a wizard. [01:17:22] Speaker A: Feather studying magic. I know about illusions. I am not an illusion student, but I am at a school. My friends are illusions. Can I do a check to see if that was an illusion? Is that something that I can do? [01:17:37] Speaker B: You can. I will let you either. [01:17:40] Speaker A: I know that there's rules about illusion checks. [01:17:45] Speaker B: No, no, you totally can give me an intelligence check. [01:17:51] Speaker A: Straight intelligence. [01:17:52] Speaker E: Can you repeat what the thing said? [01:17:56] Speaker B: Leave the stone on the floor of the quorum at night and no, and everyone lives. [01:18:01] Speaker A: That's so scary. I'm gonna use my inspiration. [01:18:06] Speaker B: Okay. [01:18:07] Speaker C: Quinn's gonna be so mad in the morning when you're like, there's not a good room. And Quinn's like, I tried. I was coming to save you. And I dropped my. [01:18:21] Speaker A: Sucks so much. I got a. I got a 12. [01:18:34] Speaker B: That didn't look a whole lot like anything in Torbrid's class. [01:18:41] Speaker A: Okay. [01:18:42] Speaker B: They don't usually talk illusions, so you don't know what that was, but it was in your room. [01:18:49] Speaker A: What's. What did it feel like when it touched me? [01:18:54] Speaker B: You're having trouble wrecking your brain. It's just kind of. [01:18:57] Speaker E: Wait, did it go somewhere? Did it like, disperse or it just. [01:19:00] Speaker B: Melted into the floor? [01:19:02] Speaker C: Okay, I don't pat the floor and. [01:19:05] Speaker A: I check under the bed and you. [01:19:07] Speaker B: Like, pat the floor. You like. When you go to check under the bed, your, like, hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Just shadow. You go to stand up and as you stand up and lift your head up to where Martin is sleeping, you watch as the clawed hand just slips over the side of his head and just grab it rubs its fingers on his forehead. You like, go to reach out, the fingers slip by and you just hit Martin in the head. And Martin, you are. You're asleep and you just. Ah, what the hell? [01:19:47] Speaker A: Make the make the cast g. Look for magic. [01:19:51] Speaker B: Mirrors in his eyes, sweat on his forehead. He's rambling. And you're awake. And from the other side you see, kill wake up and go. [01:20:03] Speaker D: I, I, I I I cast detect magic. Cuz I know that something bad's happened. So I'm just like. [01:20:18] Speaker B: So Martin, you stand up and you. And you like, bring out your book and start reading text really rapidly. And then all of a sudden the range goes out. You don't see anything new. [01:20:36] Speaker A: Hey, I'm like breathing. I'm like. I'm like staring at Martin so intently, crying. Just so picture you, like on his. [01:20:44] Speaker E: Bed, like on the side of him, like. [01:20:48] Speaker D: Lou, I don't mean to be rude, but do you think staying up has made you hallucinate anything? [01:20:55] Speaker B: No, I saw it. [01:20:57] Speaker A: I saw it. [01:20:59] Speaker B: Killing from across the way goes. Saw what? [01:21:05] Speaker A: There was a hand and a. Like a smoky face and it went under the bed. [01:21:12] Speaker B: Kill. Kill your foot and like, sits up on his bed, crawls over to the ladder, climbs up the bed and into your bunk. Or no, no, you bunk with. No, you wash your. Do you bunk. Do you bunk with Martin or on the other bed with Kiln? [01:21:30] Speaker A: I was imagining it. Me, Kiln and then Martin, but I don't know where Martin is. [01:21:36] Speaker B: Yeah, so. No, exactly. [01:21:38] Speaker D: He climbs. [01:21:38] Speaker B: Kiln, Climbs up the ladder and into your bunk and like. And climbs in. I'm sleeping here. And he just shoves himself under the blanket. [01:21:50] Speaker D: Ah, okay, Blue, let's. Let's talk about what you saw. I guess my head's gonna ache in the morning. What? What did you see? [01:22:02] Speaker A: I described what I saw and I described that. I don't think it was an illusion. I say it's nothing I've seen in. In, in. In Taurus or BIR. [01:22:15] Speaker D: Corporate class. Okay. [01:22:21] Speaker B: It is concerning to hear some of that. Like. [01:22:24] Speaker D: Yeah, that is not good. Did you. Did you. Were you able to touch, like completely feel it? Like, did it stop you from moving? [01:22:38] Speaker A: It touched my hand and then I tried to grab it on of your face. He's on your face. [01:22:44] Speaker D: Ah, that's what this black eye is going to be for tomorrow. [01:22:49] Speaker B: As you recall, Blue. It like it never gripped you. It got really close. So maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. You never. It never quite got to you. You never quite got to it. It certainly your neck. Yeah. Like so, like it was going to touch you. You were going to touch it. You never quite got to each other, but certainly terrified you even standing in it, didn't you? Didn't. I mean it in the way of shadow. You've never felt a shadow. That's true. So like, you know, you could stand in darkness. It felt like being in darkness. Like nothing. [01:23:30] Speaker D: If they were an illusion and be an illusion, but. And can I just like, be like, can I make a nature check of some sort to be like, is this something some magical creature that does these things? [01:23:46] Speaker B: Give me an arcana check. [01:23:47] Speaker C: Would it be nature? [01:23:49] Speaker D: Cool, that'd be great with a 25. [01:23:56] Speaker B: Is that a nat 20? [01:23:58] Speaker D: No, that was a 19. [01:24:01] Speaker A: Wow. [01:24:01] Speaker B: Oh, because you're pushing it. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. I'm with a 25. Okay, well, that could totally be an illusion. It totally could. It would need to be a really good illusion. But it could. If it's not an illusion, it's not good. Like, you just. You just flip through your head. Maybe like a wraith or like a ghost. [01:24:30] Speaker C: Oh, great. [01:24:31] Speaker D: Some undead. [01:24:36] Speaker B: With a 25. You've even heard of creatures that can come from the shadow fell that are, like, made of shadow. So, like, it could totally just be an illusion. It absolutely could have. Blue never touched it. And a high level illusion can move, can make sound. If it's not an illusion, that's not good. [01:25:04] Speaker D: Okay. [01:25:07] Speaker B: You'Re also struck by the fact that it didn't kill anyone yet. [01:25:11] Speaker D: Yeah. What did you say? That, like, some. Something opened the door. Did it close the door? [01:25:24] Speaker A: So, okay, so the door. I heard a. I heard a knock. It came in, and then it was here. And then Kedrick came in and he closed the door. Probably still go get him. You think it. So it was probably. If it a DM would. I know about the spell now. [01:25:57] Speaker B: Give me an arcana check. [01:26:01] Speaker E: Genevieve has the spell knock and has used it before, so. [01:26:07] Speaker C: I don't know. [01:26:08] Speaker A: Well. [01:26:10] Speaker E: Oh, that's right. [01:26:13] Speaker A: Well, how about a seven? [01:26:17] Speaker B: I mean, that door was locked, and locked doors do not unlock themselves. That's not how that works, Blue. [01:26:25] Speaker A: Right. Okay. I just said what I heard and what I saw. [01:26:28] Speaker B: That'd be crazy. [01:26:30] Speaker A: Yeah, that's. That would be crazy. [01:26:32] Speaker D: Well. Well, should we. Then I. I can message Kedrick when I'm on. When I open the door to see if he can come. Take this if you want, and just not tell them about the craziness that happened. [01:26:48] Speaker A: Take the rock. [01:26:50] Speaker D: Yeah, I don't. It did, like, want to murder us. It sounded like whatever it said. [01:26:57] Speaker A: Huh? [01:26:58] Speaker D: Whatever it was, we just. [01:27:01] Speaker A: Should we give it to Kendrick? [01:27:03] Speaker D: Yeah. Let Kendrick deal with it. [01:27:05] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. Okay. [01:27:07] Speaker C: Yeah, that sounds good. [01:27:10] Speaker A: Blue goes and opens the chest and gets the rock. [01:27:14] Speaker C: Rest in peace, Kendrick. [01:27:17] Speaker D: Well, oh, no. [01:27:19] Speaker B: As you. As you unlock everything and open the chest, Kilman's face is just like. Like, like his eyes are just barely over the side of his bed, and you can hear his teeth are chattering in his jaw. And he's just like. He's just. He just silently goes. I didn't stay out of it. And you get into the chest, pull out the patch, the pouch, and as you open it and pull out the stone, It glints in the Slight light from the candle. Oh. Turns out at this specific elevation, it's platinum. [01:27:59] Speaker A: Let's go. [01:28:00] Speaker B: But you've got it in your hand. [01:28:03] Speaker A: Okay. [01:28:07] Speaker D: Write that down. Write that down. [01:28:11] Speaker B: Didn't you go open the door or do something? Or maybe not. What's happening? [01:28:15] Speaker D: I just to want. Sure. One more time. Say, Blue, we could do this in the morning, or we could do it right now. What do you prefer? [01:28:27] Speaker A: I think we should do it in the morning. [01:28:30] Speaker D: Okay. That sounds good to me. Yeah. [01:28:36] Speaker A: Blue puts it back. [01:28:39] Speaker B: Okay, Blue, you put it back in the bag. Hand. Platinum. You tie it and put it in the case. You lock the trunk. You. Oh, well, your bunk's taken now. You, like, walk up to the ladder, and Kiln just looks down at you with tears in his eyes and goes and shakes his head like, no. And then lays down in your bunk. [01:29:01] Speaker D: Martin lays down chair mine over here. [01:29:05] Speaker A: Okay. I. I climb into her, our old. [01:29:08] Speaker B: And the two birds snuggle up and. [01:29:11] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [01:29:12] Speaker B: You go up to the top. As you climb up and Martin lays down in his bunk. Martin goes to sleep. Kiln sits like a board, staring up at the ceiling. Probably not getting an inch of sleep. A moment of sleep all night. You lay down at the top on side, and you just go. You just sit there staring at the shadow under the bed. Because for the first time in your life, there really was something under the bed. You're watching the shadows. And you fall asleep before you ever see anything move. Not move. You fall asleep. And as Blue falls asleep, that's where we're gonna end our second half of Saved by the Spell. Elusive insights. [01:30:11] Speaker C: That's great. Two girls die in their beds. [01:30:23] Speaker B: Okay, great session, everybody. Fun little cliffhanger. We're gonna end it there. [01:30:29] Speaker C: Kendrick would do that to you. [01:30:37] Speaker B: He's. He's just. He, like, closes the door behind him and he goes. One demerit too many patrons, Let us know. I.
