Episode Transcript
[00:00:03] Speaker A: Welcome back to Barely DND D.
This is your sort of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. I am your resident bard. Rowing a grain bottle. And this episode is sponsored by Vitamins. Take your vitamins, kids.
[00:00:18] Speaker B: This episode.
[00:00:19] Speaker A: That's all I'm gonna say.
Oh, yeah, just get some vitamin D. Sunlight, Touch grass.
Everyone.
[00:00:26] Speaker B: When you listen to this episode, go outside.
[00:00:29] Speaker C: Listen to it on a wall, and eat broccoli. And then eat some spinach and drink water.
[00:00:38] Speaker B: Water. All good advice.
[00:00:39] Speaker A: All good things.
[00:00:40] Speaker B: While we're at it, work your medial glute. That's the part of your butt that's in charge of rotating your knees outward or lifting your leg to the side. Work your core and work your rotator cuff, the back of your shoulder.
When you're. When your core, glutes, and shoulders are strong, your body works your whole life, assuming no other congenitive or chronic conditions.
Those are the muscle groups that everyone lets go that leads them. Unable to do things by 50.
The Leditor question today, since Micah's engaged now, is if you're curious.
[00:01:14] Speaker D: Guys, I'm engaged. Sorry.
[00:01:19] Speaker B: To the big Mike.
Who would have thought?
[00:01:23] Speaker A: No, he's blue.
[00:01:27] Speaker B: Anywho, sorry, if your character had to propose or to be proposed to, what would be their proposal? Also, who's the Dominipa? Also, Landon will be here later, but he is not here. I really want to.
[00:01:41] Speaker A: Oh, never mind.
Bella. Andrew would be funny.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: That's really.
[00:01:47] Speaker C: I feel like nothing would be good enough for her. Like, he could, like, literally pull the moon down from the stars, hand her a chunk of the moon, and be like, I love you. And she'd be like, I suppose it suffice.
[00:02:06] Speaker B: Yes, I like it.
Well, first, love a good crack.
What would be Ro. Am I correct that sirloin. You were engaged to Sirloin?
[00:02:23] Speaker D: Yes, that is correct.
[00:02:25] Speaker B: Well, then I guess you should tell us.
I guess for Jackie, the question is not what would Rose proposal be, but what?
What? What? I'm sorry, Abby, we did not hear it.
What was Rowan's proposal from Sirloin Crotch?
[00:02:44] Speaker A: What?
[00:02:45] Speaker C: Maybe she proposed to Sir Lon.
[00:02:47] Speaker A: Yeah, no, that's true.
[00:02:49] Speaker B: How did outed Rose proposed?
[00:02:51] Speaker A: She didn't. She. She would. Now I feel that row now. The row that you all know would definitely. It would not matter to her. She, like. She would. It would not be like, oh, the man has to do it. She would. She would be chill proposing in the right circumstance.
And now I think she would want maybe a flashy thing, like, on stage. The Rowena that we know now, like, you know, in front Of a crowd. I think she'd want that now.
But I have thought about this and how.
[00:03:24] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
[00:03:26] Speaker A: Mr.
Knight said it. Yeah. I don't.
[00:03:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:03:32] Speaker A: I could ever actually say it.
Rot.
He.
They were in.
[00:03:44] Speaker D: The.
[00:03:44] Speaker A: When she was with him, they were in Vashta. Why am I going blank on my Vashtan?
[00:03:54] Speaker B: You're correct.
[00:03:55] Speaker A: Okay. Vashtan.
Which. She lived there for quite a while. Um, and I think it was kind of.
It was a little underwhelming for her.
He just kind of came home one day.
[00:04:11] Speaker B: They live together, and.
[00:04:13] Speaker A: They live together.
Tiny period of time together.
And she. I mean, you know, we've talked about this. She never really had much of a home, but she.
He had a place, and so that's pretty much where she stayed. You know, she kind of bounced around all the time anyway. But he just kind of came home one day from work and, like, was like, hey, do you want to get married? Kind of thing. And she was like, yeah. Like, it was very.
[00:04:45] Speaker C: They have a ring?
[00:04:47] Speaker A: Yeah, she had a ring.
[00:04:48] Speaker C: Did he have a ring?
[00:04:49] Speaker A: She gave it back. He had a ring. It was.
This part is a part that I haven't thought about. It was just a band. It was just a band. There was no stone or anything like that.
And he was like, hey, let's get married, and kind of gave it to her.
And she was just like, yeah. And then they were engaged for probably about a year.
And then he.
[00:05:13] Speaker C: Did they ever plan a wedding, or was it just kind of like, we're engaged now?
[00:05:18] Speaker A: Ro kind of had, like, plans of a wedding, but it was one of those things where, like, it always got pushed to the back burner because of things going on in the world.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Rose. Roy.
He's Roy.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: Roy.
[00:05:33] Speaker D: Roy from the office.
[00:05:35] Speaker B: In the office.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
And, like, things in the world just kind of kept happening. And then one day he came home and was. All of a sudden, had been kind of like. It was kind of thing. Like, he had been kind of radicalized and wanted to be part of, you know, the Kefkins. So at that moment, she was like, okay, bye. Like, it was a. She just kind of left and wait.
[00:06:03] Speaker C: So he wasn't a test when they started dating, and then he became a caf. While they were.
[00:06:09] Speaker A: Well, he was.
And I don't know if we ever talked about this, but he was.
He was like, his race and all. He was from Kef. Okay.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: He was. His nationality was.
[00:06:24] Speaker A: His nationality was Kefkin.
[00:06:26] Speaker C: But he woke up now. I'm really.
[00:06:29] Speaker A: He was never, like.
It was like, he was always very, like, just blase about, like, whether he, you know, like, it was kind of like, oh, I don't talk about politics, like that kind of thing.
[00:06:39] Speaker B: His jingleization is what split them up. That's fascinating because that means that Roe used to not have an issue with people who are ethnically Kefkan, and that's where she built that result.
[00:06:51] Speaker A: She doesn't have a problem with people that are ethnically.
[00:06:53] Speaker B: Oh, I don't know about that. I made up my own slur. I don't know about that.
When you make up a slur, I think you got a problem with people's ethnicity.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: So that was.
[00:07:04] Speaker B: We don't have to deal with that today.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: So that's how he proposed. And then I think now Ro would want like a very over the top thing. Whether she did it or whether the partner did it, she would want it to be over the top and in front of a lot of people. I think because of that and just because of Ro's personality.
[00:07:20] Speaker C: That's so interesting.
[00:07:21] Speaker B: What a juicy answer.
[00:07:23] Speaker C: Yeah, that was good.
[00:07:27] Speaker B: In honor of Landon not being here, I'll give Boz's answer.
Boz wouldn't do a proposal.
He would blackmail an enemy and create a warlock pact with them.
And then he would turn the tables on the question by actually making this about what other people failed to understand about the question.
Smash Brothers reference.
And actually, if you know accounting law very well, all of you guys are wrong and owe me money.
[00:08:01] Speaker C: That's pretty good.
[00:08:02] Speaker A: So true.
[00:08:04] Speaker D: As a sister, I can confirm this message.
[00:08:08] Speaker B: We have it on recording. Yeah, we have hours, actually. It is a shame he's not here because we should have asked how did. Oh, no, we know his story.
[00:08:18] Speaker A: Yeah, they kind of talked about it.
[00:08:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Accidental married. What would. What would Grabby.
What's Grabby's non Existent hypothetical proposal.
[00:08:29] Speaker C: So I think if Greta were ever to get married, it would have been a long time. I don't think that she really wants to get married now.
But if she had gotten married, I think that she would have just lived with someone for like, decades, and I think she would have just like, had a very domestic life with them. Had a very like, you know, peaceful, happy, like, domestic, monogamous living together. And then one day, I think either her.
I think they would just like, decide to like, declare common law. I don't know if that exists in Yellow Room. I think that she would have just.
[00:09:08] Speaker B: Right, yeah.
[00:09:11] Speaker C: You just like, moved in with someone, like, started living together and being like a couple. And then one Day be like, oh, we should probably like, go and make this, like, legal, like after being together for decades. So I think that she would just, like, like, be with someone for a long time and then declare common law and then just like, maybe have like, a little celebration with, like, friends and family and stuff. And I think that's how it would go. So not a proposal, but like.
[00:09:40] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what I was.
[00:09:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Very much. Very, very much as well.
[00:09:48] Speaker B: It's crazy because these people aren't real.
Do you want to answer how Craig proposed to Kat or do you.
[00:09:57] Speaker D: Yes.
Yes. So three months in three months in to dating, I would like to say that they were relatively like, quote, unquote, young, I guess.
I. I would like to say that they were like, equivalent to 20.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: I mean, Craig's not relative to how old dwarves can be. He's not.
He's like, just at the starting age of middle age. So that actually is kind of the only thing that makes sense was that they got married really young.
[00:10:36] Speaker A: So I would like to have y' all been married canonically.
Never mind.
[00:10:43] Speaker B: And that's part of the issue, isn't it?
[00:10:47] Speaker D: So if. If Craig is, like you said, middle aged, he's like, I. I'd like to think he's 40s. Like in his 40s, sort of like.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:10:57] Speaker D: 47 or something.
So it's been over like 25 years.
[00:11:03] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: Except that dwarf.
[00:11:06] Speaker D: Except that dwarf.
[00:11:07] Speaker B: You know, significantly longer.
[00:11:09] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:11:09] Speaker B: Married almost 50 years.
[00:11:11] Speaker D: Yeah.
So depending.
[00:11:14] Speaker A: Nice.
[00:11:14] Speaker D: So. But like, in human years, that's. That's, you know.
[00:11:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:11:19] Speaker D: So actually probably a little more. They worked at the same place. He was a person who would go mining, and she was like the receptionist, like front desk, kind of like. Like, oh, my gosh, you want to buy some of the stones. You know, like, things like that. Except that's not her voice at all or her personality.
[00:11:35] Speaker B: Not exactly her job, but that's fine.
[00:11:37] Speaker D: Wait, what was the.
[00:11:38] Speaker B: We're not here to quiz Micah today.
[00:11:40] Speaker D: Sorry. Anyways, this is completely accurate to all the things I've said before and everything in the past has been canonized anyways, so one day or. No, no, for like a month. So, like, they were dating for three months, but this started two months in. Craig starts mining for the metals and he starts mining for the, like, the diamond and, like, for the. The stones that would make up the. The ring.
And for like a whole month he's putting it together and, like, creating this, like, beautiful. And it's not just like a diamond. It's like an array of colorful stones, like, organized in, like, a. Like, blue, yellows and. And whites, like, all around, kind of, like, fading off into the ring itself.
And then there's, like, one center stone that's, like, multicolored of, like, blue and white.
And it's like. I don't even know what kind of stones. It's just. That's what they look like. Huh.
[00:12:45] Speaker B: An agate could do that.
[00:12:47] Speaker D: Okay, so that's. That's the ring.
And after work one day, Craig's like, hey, I want to show you what me.
[00:12:55] Speaker A: My.
[00:12:55] Speaker D: One of my buddies found. And she's like, okay. And so he takes her into, like, Not a mine, but, like, a cave.
And this cave has, you know, like, geodes.
[00:13:07] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:13:07] Speaker D: Inside of geodes. It's like a geode itself.
And you, like, walk in, and there's this reflecting, like, this beautiful array of crystals. And he's got a torch, so it's lighting up the whole place.
And that's where he proposes. He gets down on one knee. He has it all rehearsed in his head, and she says yes. And they probably get married probably just four months later. Like, it's a very. It was a very quick thing.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Cute, man. I love Craig's. He's such a great character. This, like, really emotional, really, like, idealistic dreams guy who, like. It was like, hey. And then the details, and he's like, what? I wasn't paying attention. Like, character.
Middle name again.
Okay, let's see. Bella. Andra.
I think.
I think Belandra is the sort of person who would not enjoy a prolonged stint in nature, but who would like to be proposed to in nature. Right. Like, to briefly be somewhere picturesque for the. And not like in the jungle, but somewhere near the mighty jungle. An overlook. A vista of a beautiful location.
And I think.
I think somewhere up on, like, a.
Somewhere up on, like, a cliff face.
Nice, Jackie.
Sorry. Listener. I won't explain that when it would take too long, but somewhere up on a.
On a cliff face overlooking something beautiful and natural. I think she would love to be proposed to there.
[00:15:02] Speaker C: I have a question.
[00:15:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:05] Speaker C: How long would the speech have to go before she got tired?
[00:15:10] Speaker B: I don't think she would want a long speech. I think she would want something.
I think she'd want something very well written, but succinct. Something excellent and short.
[00:15:22] Speaker D: Hello. I'm just saying Tello's a great guy.
[00:15:25] Speaker A: Because not marrying Bell. Andra. I refuse to let it happen.
[00:15:32] Speaker B: We've learned. We've learned Tello's type, and it's not her.
He. I didn't mean to do this as a joke, but he does like large, muscular women, and that was unintentional.
When I like, I like, I was like, ah, would be unexpected here. And then I did it two times in a row, and I was like, oops, oops, oops.
[00:15:52] Speaker D: It's true.
[00:15:53] Speaker B: Now, I mean, I don't want to say the words Muscle Mommy, but. Yeah, but he got Micah. Listen, here's the problem. I make Micah laugh so hard she almost pees sometimes. But she's always the quiet laugh, so it sounds like somebody laughed at my joke, but Micah's always dying.
[00:16:12] Speaker D: That's great.
How does it feel that you know, someone finds you funny, but no one else will know that you were found funny?
[00:16:20] Speaker B: Bummer. And also, canonically, you guys do know that the guy that.
That. Oh, my goodness. Who. That V. Like, one of the like's masquerading identities is this Lord Jord. Who is. And you guys learned that Lady Andra knows him and has a huge crush on him. And.
[00:16:41] Speaker C: Wait, this.
[00:16:42] Speaker B: Wait, there's no idea that he's not a real person, but, yeah, sorry, that's so silly.
[00:16:49] Speaker C: Who's the guy behind the mask of the Crush the Bell?
[00:16:52] Speaker A: Andre.
[00:16:52] Speaker B: Like, yeah, Villac.
Yeah. You guys learned that and. Yeah, what was that? Adventure 40.
[00:16:59] Speaker A: It was. It was because she had to meet him to get Tello's dad, right? Or. No, no, she knew.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: She knew.
[00:17:06] Speaker A: Oh, no, that was a different.
[00:17:08] Speaker B: The alias before then.
[00:17:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:17:12] Speaker B: I don't know, guys.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: So funny.
We're not gonna get started.
[00:17:18] Speaker B: Forever ago, you guys learned. Well, now I just want to know if I'm right. Oh, my goodness. I can find it here. There's the map for VLAC Slayer 60.
No, shoot.
I don't know. Somewhere in the late 60s, you guys learned that, but no one cares about that, so I'm gonna move on now.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: Oh, I definitely care.
[00:17:42] Speaker D: This is.
[00:17:43] Speaker B: Well, I mean, nobody cares about the episode number.
This is. And that's okay to admit. This is episode 142 of the Accidental Adventures. For the note taking nerds home is where the bard is at 142. It's a level 13 adventure. The date is 3488pb. See Hadron the 17th. 3:48pm Also is neither here nor there.
I was looking over feats the other day for me, and I looked up keen mind. It doesn't matter at all. Keen mind says you know the hours till sunset.
[00:18:21] Speaker A: What?
[00:18:22] Speaker B: Or you know the hours to the end of the day or something. That's what keen mind actually says. So it doesn't matter because it's been a hilarious joke this whole campaign. But the row knowing it's 3, 47 and 46 seconds. Absolutely not. Rose like Rose like her.
[00:18:36] Speaker C: That's too specific to Rose.
[00:18:38] Speaker B: It would be like. Like rose feet lets her say, like, yeah, it's three. Or maybe like, it's like it's closer to 3:30 than it is three. But she has no idea the minute and all that stuff.
[00:18:51] Speaker D: So I love that.
[00:18:54] Speaker B: Just funny. I mean, my mom can guess the time down to minutes sometimes, which is freaky.
I think that's why.
[00:19:01] Speaker A: So maybe. Yeah, so it's possible.
[00:19:03] Speaker B: It's really weird.
Okay, so episode 142, we.
Oh, what you got there, buddy?
[00:19:13] Speaker A: So I'm.
[00:19:16] Speaker C: Yarn into this big.
I make them into tiny pieces of yarn, and then I have a big.
[00:19:22] Speaker B: I thought you pulled up a doll that had been in a wood chipper. Okay, that's better.
That was kind of concerning.
All right, can you guys hear the music?
[00:19:34] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:19:38] Speaker B: Faffing about is scary music.
[00:19:41] Speaker C: No, no, no, you play the.
[00:19:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that's the fluff about.
[00:19:50] Speaker B: Okay, so remember, we are in that blurry space. You guys have gone back to the opalescent tome you got there on the 16th. We're saying it's the 17th. We're just kind of, you know, the party is there. They have rested in the guest space.
So you guys have long rested. If you want to recharge your abilities and your hit points, I don't think you guys are missing any or. Well, I guess you were from the day before, but you have everything back.
And so Craig, you know, your sword, your charges and star spawner and a lot of stuff, you all have.
You know, people have done some of their shopping, they've done some of their perusing. This is actually canonically the day that the. The next day from when Greta went out and sold her gems. But, you know, like, just somewhere in that fluid space of doing things and getting them done.
Here's the party.
So what that party do.
[00:20:47] Speaker C: Are there a lot of books?
[00:20:50] Speaker B: Are there a lot of books?
[00:20:51] Speaker C: Yeah. Not like magical book. Like, is there. Does Kanager have like a. Nope. Not connache connoje.
[00:21:00] Speaker B: You're correct.
We said.
And it got confusing.
[00:21:04] Speaker C: Yeah. Does Kanojer have like a. Like a personal library that's not like, totally private?
Greta, go ahead.
[00:21:14] Speaker B: No, yeah, I. You know, the book section of the opalescent home, and I have the ones that you can buy There. But you know that there's, like, there is that huge library upstairs of magical texts now. Are you just asking her at some point in your time? She's basically closed the shop down for two days for you guys.
Have you. Which is. You know, that's pretty huge.
Has. Are you just asking her at some point in that shared stay with her if she has something like that?
[00:21:39] Speaker C: No, Greta's probably. Greta has probably gone, and she is looking for any book in the magical book section that is not in a language that she understands.
[00:21:52] Speaker B: And she's just somewhere between six and seven hundred books meet that description.
[00:21:57] Speaker C: Okay. Awesome. She is just reading in devouring languages.
Yeah. And almost like, it's. It's like she's almost not looking for any, like, it. Like, she's reading, like, every book she found. Like, a magical book she found, like, how to enchant your ex's house so that only frogs come out of the toilet. She's like. She's, like, found every possible.
Like, it doesn't matter what the subject is. She's just, like, like, frantically exercising.
Not frantically. She's just so happy to, like, exercise this muscle of, like. Like, the idea that she's reading something that she can't.
She's just, like, so excited. She's just, like, reveling now.
[00:22:43] Speaker B: No information barred to you.
[00:22:45] Speaker C: Yeah, she's so. She's just been, like, reading. Whatever. Doesn't matter.
Honestly, she's probably, like, looking, like, obscure, like.
[00:22:57] Speaker B: Okay, sorry, I. I thought you were done. I apologize as you. As you cross this threshold of knowing that there is essentially no written information barred to you now.
And it's great because the bifocals are. They're not gigantic. They're classy. They're. They're rather.
Rather understated. But they do magnify the eyes slightly. So Greta's already elderly Persona is.
It finds its completion as she puts on these bifocals. Because anytime anyone goes up to check on her and she looks up, her eyes are just a little too big.
As you look through these books, I mean, there are some that are still in, like, you know, like. Like chained to the wall or, like, bound by some magic. And each of those is like, you know, like a kanji, can unlock them for you on request. But there. I mean, there's just no shortage of things to absorb through this library. One of the coolest things is that you find. You find a text written in eldest. Well, not a text. You find 43 books in a section written in eldest. Common, like, were in The. The Tomb of Time, the Temple of the Old Ones or the Elder Ones that you found. Yeah, one of them goes into a sub. It is a history book from six and a half thousand years ago.
[00:24:17] Speaker D: Wow.
[00:24:18] Speaker B: So it's a history book. It's a world history book from almost 7,000 years ago.
It's from the Platinum Age and.
[00:24:28] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: It recounts like. I mean, that history is then so far back that it's like kind of vague. But it gives an account of the almost mythological Great Arrival.
[00:24:41] Speaker A: Land rise.
[00:24:44] Speaker C: Sorry, I was just saying I don't think Greta has heard any of that.
[00:24:49] Speaker B: This is a pretty big lore dump.
So it gives a description of the Great Arrival.
Now, this is not like a hyper detailed, like compilation of first accounts. This is just like a mythological retelling of Yakala opening the doors and the other deities ushering in their various peoples from their own realms, supposedly.
It's like the book briefly queries from which places any of these other peoples might have come.
And it talks about the period known as clan rise, when the different peoples of this age all came together and begin forming their own. Their own cultural clans, their people clans.
The book also.
So there is much mythos in this section, but then it states as a historical fact that all peoples in Yalabin began in the far north.
And it refers to some nation as being the first nation.
Then it talks about.
Sorry, what nation?
Well, let me see if I can find that actually, because it's in my notes, but I have to track it down.
Yeah, go ahead.
[00:26:08] Speaker A: Oh, I was just going to fill time if you needed it.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: Do briefly fill time because I have to explain my notes for Legend of the new ones and I have to track down which session it's from.
[00:26:19] Speaker A: Micah. I was just going to let you know and the listeners know of a little review.
Greta, didn't you already. Will you purchase the glasses?
Yeah, Landon Boss purchased something.
[00:26:34] Speaker C: I got the glasses.
The little creature that tells me a little fact every day, which I'm so excited about. And then I got the.
[00:26:44] Speaker A: Yeah, and then Ro got.
Then.
Excuse me.
Then Ro got the band of Ambassador, which is a ring that lets her cast and use tongues once a day.
[00:26:57] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:26:58] Speaker A: And also the Inner memoir, which actually I think Craig would have fun with too. So Craig and Ro can look.
[00:27:08] Speaker D: What is the Inner Memoir?
[00:27:10] Speaker A: It's basically. I have it in my channel if you want to read the full description, but it's basically like a tome that you can.
It's like all empty, but if you can like focus on a page and like, you can basically, like, imprint a memory and the feelings that memory gave you on a page.
So I was gonna try to do that with some songs and stuff, and I don't know, Craig might have fun with that, too.
[00:27:41] Speaker C: It's awesome.
[00:27:43] Speaker A: So those are all the things that we got.
Yeah.
[00:27:48] Speaker D: That'S good.
That is good.
I have so many I want to get, and then Oliver.
[00:27:55] Speaker B: Well, I promise we will get to the shopping in just a moment.
[00:27:57] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:27:58] Speaker A: Shopping.
[00:28:01] Speaker B: Also, Jackie, thank you. Not only is it very helpful when you guys help me pause sometimes, but what a useful thing to do for that.
Greta, you find that the name of what is referred to as the First Nation, the text also refers to it as the Great Nation, as being. It was the first organized nation in Yalabran, apparently. And in a later section that you read chapters later, apparently this. This culture, this nation, endured for thousands and thousands and thousands of years and was one of one of the great metropolises of the world at one point.
It is called a Dior Thor E D E A T H O R E D E A T H O R a day Thor and that it is.
It is. Apparently, the book says. This is crazy. As you read it, Greta, it was a nation built around a well.
Not a well, Spring.
A well.
So the great. The great magic sources that the. The wellsprings flow from. Like, basically, like if the wellsprings are. Are the lakes of deep magic in the world, or ponds, so to speak, the wells are the. The oceans or the great lakes.
So this is a country built around it, apparently, inside of a mountain.
The book then talks about the next age, referred to as. And this is all within the epoch known as the Great Arrival.
Apparently the next, like, minor age was the Consecration tides.
And this. The book goes on to talk about how, like, this has something to do with, like, the deities choosing cultures and apparently a very religious time in Yalabuddin's history.
And then it goes on to describe the end of the Great Arrival, which was the Diasporan Age, which is D I A S P O R A N D I A S P O R A N the Diaspora Age.
[00:30:06] Speaker C: The word Diaspora within and at the end.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: Yes. Not how it's usually utilized.
And that this was apparently a time when cultures from all around the world began stretching outward to the different continents and populating them and filling them with some sort of edict or cultural perspective given by different deities.
Very interestingly, that one shot we played that we do not have, but the.
[00:30:35] Speaker A: We do have, it just hasn't been edited, so it'll be not to pressure you.
[00:30:41] Speaker B: Send me those audio documents and I will.
The one shot there. Well, it's fine if it's. If it's just forever in our hearts, that's fine too. That wasn't a statement of guilt. The statement we played, that. That one shot we played, that's in the Diasporan age. That's the oldest one shot in our. That. That one shot was more than 10,000 years ago then.
[00:31:03] Speaker A: I didn't know you were that old. That was your birthday.
[00:31:07] Speaker B: The epoch of nations. And this talks about a period known as the confluence of cultures. And basically this is when a bunch of cultures began to codify.
Then there's the great.
[00:31:20] Speaker C: Wait, wait, what was this? The epoch of nations. And then it was the other thing.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: The epoch of nations was the next great age, the second great age of Yalbrin, this ancient book and that one of its sub ages was the confluence of cultures.
So basically like a period of time where all the nations began to like codify and solidify into like this is the country here and this is the country here. And as it goes on to like list names, none of them mean anything to you. Like all of them are nations before the nations that would then become all the nations, you know.
[00:31:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:31:54] Speaker B: So it's like reading a book about like this is all the countries of the world and it's all like Mesopotamian nations and like the near east and Africa and Asia's and they just, like all the countries, you know now are just descendants of their descendants.
[00:32:07] Speaker C: Is the confluence of cultures.
[00:32:09] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah.
And then, you know, not getting too lost in the weeds like then it goes on to. And basically this book records four great ages and you know, Yellow brin to have seven.
So this book is three great ages ago and it goes on to describe the next. The third great age is the Age of Magocracies, which I think this is all information you guys learned when you were at the. Yeah, the Temple of Ioun.
But you know, it goes on to describe the age of Magocracies and when like you know, the casters of the world began to have so much influence that like, like cultures began to like shape themselves around the great wielders of magics. And then the Platinum Age which is apparent. The. The Age of Magocracies in the Platinum Age are credited as the longest ages in this period of y. That these, these ages went on for millennia and that when the author is writing and dating their. Their period of time, they describe the Platinum Age as like, you know, however long and from what you Read when you were in the the school of knowledge, the temple of iun, that you knew the platinum age to be much longer. So this author was writing it just somewhere in it.
Wow. So credit absorbed for quite some time in this way. Oh yeah, he's doing some shopping. Am I correct?
[00:33:34] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:33:39] Speaker D: Can I ask question?
[00:33:41] Speaker B: No.
[00:33:41] Speaker A: No.
[00:33:43] Speaker B: Yes. What's up, my guy?
[00:33:46] Speaker A: Good.
[00:33:48] Speaker B: Uhoh, she's getting crunchy and skippy.
Oh, you're back now.
[00:33:53] Speaker D: I swear, the moment I try to talk.
[00:33:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. It was 20 minutes of silence and then you said something on the computer like not today, you're back.
[00:34:00] Speaker A: Shut up.
[00:34:01] Speaker D: Actually, it's like good timing.
Just keep being silent. So what is the.
Is it gold pieces that are listed or is it platinum? Or like what gold is what is listed?
[00:34:15] Speaker B: Yes, good. Gold.
[00:34:17] Speaker D: That'd be terrible for those platinum.
[00:34:18] Speaker B: I think you put a number on the document. You are aware that magic items are typically sold in gold because they are very expensive.
[00:34:25] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:34:25] Speaker B: And remember that a silver is 10 copper, a gold is 10 silver.
[00:34:31] Speaker D: Hold on, can I write this down? Wait, hold on, I need to write this down to refer back to.
[00:34:35] Speaker B: Also in the reference channel, one of the pinned messages is a table that shows you the conversion rate that I made for all of the coins and how they logically compare to dollars, if that's ever helpful.
So if you go to the lore reference and then you pinned messages, the first one down is that table.
[00:34:58] Speaker D: So platinum is how many gold? 10 gold.
Okay, so I have two. Okay.
[00:35:09] Speaker B: Do you want.
[00:35:10] Speaker D: I don't have that much.
[00:35:11] Speaker B: How much money you have.
[00:35:13] Speaker A: But remember you can. You have some stuff that you can might could trade or you might could sell to get more monies.
[00:35:20] Speaker B: And everyone else, when you were not the touch and you were not here, all the other party members were speaking like about the funds that they shared communally.
[00:35:27] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:35:28] Speaker B: So.
[00:35:28] Speaker C: So Micah, you can look in the fun guy inventory management Google sheets that I can resend to you if you would like. And that has.
[00:35:37] Speaker D: Yes, please.
[00:35:38] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:35:39] Speaker B: Hobby is a scholastic subject.
[00:35:43] Speaker D: I am going to add up. I'm going to make everything.
Hold on. I've got to convert all of the money I have into gold pieces.
Oh, this is going great. I should have done this before.
[00:35:59] Speaker B: That's okay, dude.
[00:36:03] Speaker D: Can I read you what I have? If you.
[00:36:06] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. I will gladly help you.
[00:36:08] Speaker D: So base rate, I got 280 gold pieces.
[00:36:13] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:36:20] Speaker D: Straight making money.
Craig money dollar.
[00:36:26] Speaker A: Actually 240 platinum.
Yeah.
And how many golds?
[00:36:36] Speaker D: 280.
[00:36:39] Speaker A: I'm gonna put it in your Thing.
[00:36:43] Speaker D: Okay.
Silver. I have 5555. Don't know how I got that. That's crazy. But the math. Did math at one point.
[00:36:54] Speaker B: That's from the bewildering keep. All the treasure was in sold.
[00:36:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:36:58] Speaker B: There were 22. 222 pieces.
[00:37:02] Speaker A: How much silver do you have, Micah?
[00:37:04] Speaker D: 5,555.
[00:37:08] Speaker A: 5,555?
[00:37:12] Speaker D: Yeah. All five and 5,000.
[00:37:13] Speaker A: Oh, nice. Okay. I put it in your. Your table in Google if you want.
[00:37:20] Speaker D: That can wait. Where is the Google?
[00:37:26] Speaker B: There is. There's a channel on the left side, Party Inventory. And if you open it, it opens to the Google sheet.
[00:37:35] Speaker A: I was laughing at what was still in yours. It still says there's some poop in your inventory.
[00:37:42] Speaker D: Wait, where is that? I want to have.
[00:37:45] Speaker A: I think Abby's gonna in discord. Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:48] Speaker B: There is a channel called Party Inventory. It's between memes and social.
If you click on Party Inventory there, the link in that channel.
[00:37:56] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:37:57] Speaker B: Is the. Is the Google Doc.
[00:37:59] Speaker D: Got it, got it, got it.
[00:38:00] Speaker B: And then at the bottom there are tabs for each person and there's one for Craig also. Neither here nor there.
At the bottom of your sheet is the mace called Terror that got sold last time. So you do not have that anymore, which is fine. Cuz it was a cursed weapon you couldn't use.
[00:38:19] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:38:22] Speaker D: I'm so happy that's not there anymore.
Where this is boss tab.
[00:38:29] Speaker A: Go to. Go to the bottom and you see Boss row. Greta, Craig.
[00:38:32] Speaker D: Oh, okay. Yes. Okay.
[00:38:35] Speaker B: Resume later on in life. And she's like, well, I played D for a while and it made me proficient in Google sheets.
[00:38:42] Speaker D: Oh my gosh. Some poop. It's in his pockets that it is stinky.
Okay, so gold, platinum, silver. That's what we got going for us. I also have EP electric.
[00:38:55] Speaker B: Is it Electrum?
[00:38:56] Speaker D: Yeah, Electrum.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: It's Electrum.
[00:38:59] Speaker B: Every Electrum is the weird one.
Electrum is not a denomination of 10.
Every two electrum is one gold. So an electrum is half as much as a gold. How much?
[00:39:10] Speaker D: Okay, So I have 92.
[00:39:14] Speaker B: Okay, so that means you have 46. Like a 92. Electrum is like 46 gold.
[00:39:21] Speaker D: Okay.
Okay, so 280.
[00:39:25] Speaker B: I have the total of how much gold you have if you want it.
Okay, you have 280Gold + 240Platinum + 5555Silver + 92Electrum is 3281Gold with some change.
[00:39:49] Speaker D: Okay, that's not enough for me to get all the things I want. And that's okay.
[00:39:53] Speaker B: You can probably also sell some things also. For example, that mace that got sold last time was sold for 3,000 gold. That's technically in your inventory, so that's probably available to you.
[00:40:02] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:40:04] Speaker A: So wait, you also have some other things that maybe you might want to sell, but if you don't, that's okay, too.
[00:40:13] Speaker D: Zach, did you say that I like the money? Like, the item that I sold was 3,000 gold, and I should have that in my inventory.
[00:40:22] Speaker B: Well, where was Landon recording? The Total Community.
[00:40:26] Speaker A: Let's see if it's in his inventory.
[00:40:28] Speaker D: I'm pretty sure it would be so in someone else's.
[00:40:31] Speaker A: Wait, he's got.
He hasn't updated it, I don't think.
[00:40:36] Speaker B: Yeah, I had a feeling he was just keeping that on his own on the side.
[00:40:43] Speaker D: I think he is, because I would have. I would have noted 3,000 gold defeats.
[00:40:47] Speaker B: The point of that a bit. Here's the thing. Here's the thing.
That was. That was an item in Craig's inventory, and no one was using it, and it got sold to be contributed to the public fund.
[00:40:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:00] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:41:01] Speaker B: So it is available to Craig. You guys just need to make an. If Craig adds it to the amount he has, you just need to make a mo. A note that Landon can see that says, hey, from the total remaining fund, everyone has 3000 needs to be deducted.
So let's do this.
Micah, add the 3,000 in. So now you're at 6,281 gold.
And then if everyone else. If both Abby and Jackie could message in Landon's channel and at Landon with both messages saying, take 3,000 out from the total remaining party gold. And then in parentheses, like, you know, Craig used the terror money.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: Terror money.
[00:41:49] Speaker D: Our money.
Okay. Oh, shoot. I know exactly what the ax that we just got is worth. It's worth 12,000 gold.
[00:41:58] Speaker B: It is.
It's just a chunk of money. It's incredibly valuable.
You guys. You guys picking up the Ring of Regeneration and that ax, the Dwarven Lord's ax. Those two things alone are like.
It's like more money than everything else you've had the entire campaign. They're so generation.
[00:42:23] Speaker A: He did okay. I couldn't remember.
So remember.
[00:42:30] Speaker D: Can I just say that I go up to tele.
Hey, let me just talk. These. These pockets are full of good, valuable items.
Would you like to. Would you like. Would you like.
[00:42:46] Speaker B: Okay. So she regards you, and she says, yes, Greg.
[00:42:55] Speaker E: I mean, you have come in. When I look at your person, I see that you are Feomed with weapons.
I assume you do not want to love them.
[00:43:04] Speaker D: I don't.
[00:43:06] Speaker E: Which might.
[00:43:07] Speaker D: But I need us to be.
I. I think that Craig is going to get a piece of paper out from his journal and he's gonna write down.
Please play along and don't say anything about this item being sold. And he shows her paper and she's. And then he's like, this is a beloved item that I just need to. I was hoping that you could store for me for a little bit, Craig.
[00:43:44] Speaker B: As you pull out the gorgeous axe. The axe which can hear you and everyone else can hear the voice goes, oh, hello. It's lovely to meet you, powerful mage. I fear there's been some amount of confusion.
I'm a legendary powerful weapon that has been down to this capable and mighty warrior. Now we're met together for destiny, Craig. I'm. I'm starting to fear that. Because you see, if. If she possesses me f. For any amount of time, that means that you won't. And if I'm not at your side, I can't be used in any legendary deeds or putting any painted portraits with you.
So.
[00:44:27] Speaker D: Yeah, no, no, I completely understand that concern and I, I can totally understand why this, this situation would appear to be one that you just described. But I'm here to.
To encourage you, my dude, that I actually changed.
[00:44:45] Speaker B: That's. Oh, okay.
[00:44:47] Speaker D: No, that just. That happens sometimes right when.
And then Craig. Craig thinks himself when I'm lying, but.
[00:44:56] Speaker B: He doesn't say that or the one before that.
[00:44:59] Speaker D: But that's so.
[00:45:01] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:45:02] Speaker D: Yeah. So I. I just need to go like shower and like I'm gonna go out with my friends for a little bit and you know, we're not gonna go to battle right now. We're just like decompressing.
[00:45:11] Speaker B: So you're just leaving me here for a moment is all that is.
[00:45:15] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:45:16] Speaker D: I don't really actually have a great grasp on time.
[00:45:18] Speaker B: But yeah, he's like a foot away. And like she's a very composed individual, but you can see that like she has just a little tiny look of discomfort. Awkward. Just being like.
Cuz she can tell like she's. She's watching this unfold and she's just like.
I mean it's not that obvious. It's more subtle, the face she's making. But he goes on and he goes. So you're. You're just leaving me here for a bit then? He's not what it is so.
Because if I. If I remember correctly, not but a Few weeks ago, you forswore to keep me on your person when I was that epic treasure at the end of a dungeon.
And this feels. Because I can hear everything and kind of I'm aware of what happens around me. So if I didn't know any better, I'd say I'm in a magic shop. And that what everyone's been doing here over the last couple days was buying and selling items. And you've brought me up with this lovely lady, and so it feels like you're maybe trying to sell me.
[00:46:24] Speaker D: You do deserve honest truth, don't you?
[00:46:27] Speaker B: At this point, Kanajay says, well, it.
[00:46:32] Speaker E: Is good to meet you. I'm.
[00:46:33] Speaker B: I am Kanajay. And the ax responds and says, yeah, no, I get that, Craig. You gotta keep me because if you don't hold on to me. And then Kanajay chimes back in and.
[00:46:43] Speaker E: She says, my good lord. X, might I point out that you are not at some magic shop.
While this kind and generous soul has been very gentle in trying to let things down for you, he is looking to sell you, but you are not in some shop. You are in the Opalescent Tom, the most renowned magic shop in the world.
[00:47:11] Speaker B: And he says, well, okay, but that. But I'm not looking to be sold. See, I found an owner. And she chimes back and she says.
[00:47:18] Speaker E: I understand, but have you been utilized in combat with Monsieur Dantley?
[00:47:27] Speaker B: The axe responds, no, and that's a bit of the problem.
Because I was tall, that would be.
And she says, yeah. And she like, puts her hand gently on the ax and like, pats a little bit.
[00:47:38] Speaker E: And she says, I know, I know.
Well, first of all, know that you are not the only sentiment sentient item in my inventory here.
Myself and my associate Morgan make a regular habit out of conversing with, meeting with all sentient items in our shop. Non go lonely here.
But second of all, how do you feel about your destiny, about your purpose, about violence and. And honor in combat?
[00:48:08] Speaker B: And he says, I don't. Look, none of this is the point. I don't want to be in combat, but I'm tired of being alone and I want to be at someone's side. And she just pats it again and she goes.
[00:48:19] Speaker E: What if you were sold to a lord of a nation? You are one of the most beautiful instruments I've ever seen in my life. What if you were sold to the lord of a nation who would never wield you against anyone, but who would look regal with you at their side?
I know many world leaders who would love to wield a weapon so gorgeous as yourself and who are also not so terribly disposed to getting their own hands dirty.
[00:48:51] Speaker B: There's like a little pause. He goes bullet.
That's not.
Are you lying to me?
[00:49:04] Speaker D: No, no, no, no.
[00:49:07] Speaker E: I am. Kane, can you feel the other items.
[00:49:09] Speaker B: Around you in this shop?
Yeah. Most of them are better than I am.
[00:49:15] Speaker A: Potential.
[00:49:16] Speaker E: You can feel how strong and capable they are.
[00:49:20] Speaker B: I can. I can.
[00:49:22] Speaker E: Would I be in possession of any of these items if I was not true to what I'm describing here?
[00:49:30] Speaker B: I guess so.
[00:49:34] Speaker E: Would you not like to be possessed by some great king who would pay a vast sum for you if only to live and think you could be at the side of someone who would want to talk to you all day long?
[00:49:49] Speaker B: That sounds quite nice actually.
[00:49:53] Speaker E: Yes.
So allow this sale to go on and remember Monsieur Dudley as the person who ferried you from a lonely dungeon to a home that you could one day have.
[00:50:08] Speaker B: Alright Craig, I've thought it over.
I will allow you to sell me.
But don't let her cheap you.
I've got so much gold on me.
[00:50:22] Speaker D: Thanks for letting me know.
[00:50:25] Speaker B: Shine bright like a diamond.
[00:50:30] Speaker D: Shine bright like a diamond.
[00:50:34] Speaker B: I'm a big strong axe. I'm a big strong axe.
So Kane, she picks up the axe and takes it to the counter and puts it down a distance away and then comes back to describe. To discuss the price with you so that he doesn't need to chime in anymore.
[00:50:55] Speaker D: Yeah, hi, Kit Cootie there. So yeah, there you are.
[00:51:10] Speaker B: Okay, sick.
Okay, we can hear and see you.
[00:51:16] Speaker D: Okay, good.
[00:51:18] Speaker B: So.
[00:51:20] Speaker D: I have a feeling, a very strong feeling.
12,500.
[00:51:37] Speaker B: Okay.
Kanji smiles in response and she says.
[00:51:46] Speaker E: Well it probably is worth that much.
I, I need to sell it back at. At profit.
So you, you've probably described the amount I would try to be selling it for somewhere in that range. I would, I would probably need to buy it from you for less.
[00:52:06] Speaker D: Okay, what about 12,000?
[00:52:10] Speaker B: How much might you.
Craig, why don't you give me a persuasion check?
[00:52:21] Speaker D: Hold on.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: Not the amount you're saying but a persuasion track.
[00:52:29] Speaker D: I mean it's just as it described. It's got a lot of goals on.
[00:52:33] Speaker B: It and it would know that's true. It is incredibly valuable.
[00:52:40] Speaker D: It was a twin.
[00:52:43] Speaker B: 20 total or.
[00:52:46] Speaker D: Nat 2020 just plus one.
That's so it was like a 19.
[00:52:54] Speaker B: Roll the session as a 20. That's awesome.
Kanojay nods and she says it is.
[00:53:00] Speaker E: Quite right and I am very much a proponent of you and Your group. I would love to give you the best deal I possibly can on this.
How about ten?
[00:53:17] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:53:21] Speaker E: Thousand? Of course not. Not ten, but yeah.
[00:53:24] Speaker D: Oh, obviously that would be a very interesting decline.
Is 10 the highest you're willing to go?
[00:53:41] Speaker B: It is.
[00:53:42] Speaker D: Okay. That's very good. I'm good with that.
[00:53:45] Speaker E: I don't want to pressure you.
[00:53:47] Speaker D: No, no, you're good.
[00:53:48] Speaker E: Okay. 10 it is.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: And Craig, you sell the dwarven lord's axe for 10,000 gold pieces.
So you can put 10,000 gold pieces in your inventory. The 10,000, the axe has very little ability. That's mostly just how valuable the items it's made out of are. It's just got that many precious metals and gemstones. And Kanish is pretty confident she can sell this to some lord to have it look amazing.
So, Craig, you can add 10,000. You're now at 16,281 gold, which is crazy.
Probably the most single money at any time Craig's ever seen in his life, which is really saying something because he worked in a precious, precious materials mine.
And just as a quick heads up, Michael, remember, a gold is worth roughly $300. So it's like you were just given 3 million bucks.
16 to 81 is roughly $4.9 million is what Craig has right now.
[00:55:03] Speaker A: Dang.
[00:55:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Just because players can tend to get confused about what a gold's worth.
[00:55:09] Speaker C: Um, we're basically like buying card.
[00:55:13] Speaker B: Yeah. It's when I, I. The only reason I am.
[00:55:17] Speaker C: Like, we're buying houses in California.
[00:55:19] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. When. When I try to discuss that with players. Because. Because then later on in a campaign, I'll discuss how much something costs. And she's like, oh. And like, players are always like, everything's so expensive. We're always so poor. We never have any money. And it's like, no, no, no. You're some of the richest people in the world. Like, when you buy that magic sword, it's exactly. Abby. It's like lights. Like, oh, that's. That's like a. That's like a. Like a. Like a three million dollar home. And it's because it's. It's like you're showing up somewhere and being like, hey, can I get that lightsaber? You know, like it's. These are world changing nights in some context.
Craig, do you sell anything else?
[00:55:57] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:55:58] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay.
Tell me about the. You and I both remember the slingshots super well, but why don't you tell me about it?
[00:56:08] Speaker C: I don't remember it. Can you remind me about it?
[00:56:10] Speaker A: Yeah. Same. I don't remember.
[00:56:15] Speaker B: Oh, nickel's frozen again.
This is the way.
[00:56:19] Speaker A: Hold on.
[00:56:20] Speaker B: We're there. Are you there?
[00:56:22] Speaker D: Hi.
[00:56:24] Speaker B: Are you. Are you on the browser or in the app right now?
[00:56:27] Speaker D: I'm in the app.
I don't know why it's doing this right now, but that's okay.
[00:56:31] Speaker B: Maybe try going back to the browser.
Maybe it'll work better.
[00:56:35] Speaker D: That would be worse.
[00:56:37] Speaker B: Yeah, you're right. I don't know.
[00:56:41] Speaker C: Yeah, you're right.
[00:56:42] Speaker D: Respectfully.
[00:56:45] Speaker B: That was a dumb thing I said.
[00:56:48] Speaker D: I'm trying to remember, like, the slingshot, because all I have in my inventory is Cool Slingshot.
That's it.
[00:56:55] Speaker A: Cool Slingshot.
[00:56:57] Speaker D: Well, so I don't have much on that. I'm looking in Craig.
[00:57:02] Speaker B: I love being a merciful kind. Yeah. Not a mean one.
Just because, I mean, you know, like, I'm disinterested in the power trip. I want to be helpful. Dm.
So there is no sass at all when I say this. There ain't no frustration or anger. Like, this is a. Okay, we're level 13.
We. We will have been doing this for four years in October.
There is no shame here.
I think I'm gonna go ahead and invoke the whole thing. You know the thing I've been saying for a while, which is you need to record the details that are provided about items.
[00:57:39] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:57:39] Speaker B: If you don't know what the item does, then I don't know what the item does unless it's a part of a document I've given you, and I believe I made that one up on the spot. So whatever I told you then is what it does.
I will take a second to look through my notes to try to ascertain in case I wrote it down, but otherwise, we'll just roll for what it does.
[00:58:02] Speaker D: Got it.
[00:58:02] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:58:04] Speaker B: How do you feel about that?
Compromise. And you can absolutely take a second if someone else wants to describe something or all sorts of stuff.
[00:58:15] Speaker C: I would. I'll say that Greta, as she's reading all of these books, we'll say she spends, like.
I mean, I think she's obviously gonna read that full history book, but maybe, like, before or after she reads that, she's, like, just looking around, like, kind of just trying to read different pages and, like, trying to, like, just enjoying the ability to do that. But with each book that she goes to, she, like.
She, like, has her little. Her little sculpture that she got out, and she is, like, picking it up when she goes to. To get a new book, and she'll, like, carry it over carry it with her in her hand while she's looking at the bookshelves. And then she goes back and she's gonna, like, just put it on the. On the table next to her and while she's sitting down and reading.
[00:59:09] Speaker B: Heck, yeah, Micah, I do not have it.
[00:59:17] Speaker D: That's okay.
So that's my issue. It was. It was last year.
[00:59:23] Speaker B: As always.
No shame. It's okay. You know, just rationale.
So here's what we're going to do.
Roll a D100 for me.
If it's. And I'm gonna tell you what happens beforehand.
If it's 0 to 50 is a pretty blah item. Pretty meh. Which I'll just tell you, translates to it's rare in terms of item rarity.
If you get a 50 to 100, it's very rare, in which. In which case it's like, more. More valuable. And we'll just go off of that for estimating its value.
I'm gonna use the Dungeon Master's guide for once.
Did you. Did you hear that?
[01:00:11] Speaker D: Yeah. I'm 1 to 50 is rare, and then 50 to 100 is very rare.
[01:00:20] Speaker B: Which are honestly great odds for you. Yeah, I probably won't be this generous in the future. Future.
[01:00:25] Speaker D: Got it.
[01:00:26] Speaker A: May the odds be ever in your favor.
[01:00:29] Speaker B: What'd you get, bro?
[01:00:31] Speaker D: I got 40.
[01:00:33] Speaker B: Okay, so it's a rare item.
This is a plus one slingshot. And it's enchanted with the magic stone smell, so it's good off.
Roll another D100 for me.
And what you roll times?
Let me see if I thought this out.
Hold on.
Let me. Let me make sure I understand math at all, and I'm not being dumb.
[01:01:09] Speaker E: Nine times.
[01:01:12] Speaker B: Yeah. No, I need to take that down a notch, don't I? Let's do it like this many times.
Yeah, we'll do it like this.
Whatever you roll times 25 is what this item is worth in terms of gold. Still pretty generous, I think. I'm not trying to declare myself generous.
[01:01:34] Speaker D: But you said It'd be times 25.
[01:01:38] Speaker B: Yeah. So roll your D100 again.
[01:01:41] Speaker D: It's a thousand.
[01:01:43] Speaker B: You got a thousand on your D100.
[01:01:45] Speaker D: No, no, the 40 times 25 is a thousand.
[01:01:48] Speaker B: You went ahead and did the math.
[01:01:51] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:01:52] Speaker B: Did you already re roll?
[01:01:54] Speaker D: Yeah, like, I. I got 40 again.
[01:01:56] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[01:01:57] Speaker C: Wow.
[01:01:58] Speaker B: You got exactly 40.
[01:02:01] Speaker D: So I just rolled the D100.
[01:02:04] Speaker B: And then you rolled the D10 with it. Whenever you roll a D100, you roll back. Both die. Let's get you all your money.
[01:02:11] Speaker D: Okay.
Okay. What Stop.
[01:02:18] Speaker B: I love Micah talking to her dice, muttering to them.
[01:02:21] Speaker D: That is what you get on your D10 6.
[01:02:27] Speaker B: So 46.
So 1,150 gold.
Okay, sorry, guys.
[01:02:39] Speaker D: He said 1,000.
[01:02:42] Speaker A: No need to be sorry.
[01:02:44] Speaker B: Yeah, 1,150. Don't worry about it. K buys it for you from. From a thousand. She buys it from you for a thousand.
[01:02:52] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:02:53] Speaker B: She's really generous with it so that our math is easy.
[01:02:57] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:03:01] Speaker B: 17,281 gold, which is pretty killer. Wow. Wow, wow.
[01:03:06] Speaker C: Really good.
[01:03:08] Speaker B: Does he sell anything else?
[01:03:11] Speaker D: Yes.
Sorry. We'll make this quick. I would like to. I would personally like to sell extra long sword. The minister.
[01:03:19] Speaker B: You saw. Which one?
[01:03:20] Speaker D: The minister.
Is that a bad idea?
[01:03:25] Speaker A: Nope.
[01:03:26] Speaker D: Because I never use it.
[01:03:27] Speaker B: I'm not calling that bad.
That's just. Look, I'm not calling it good or bad. Do what you want. Also, you haven't used it the entire campaign. Do it.
I just hadn't thought of that.
Craig might be loaded in a second. Let me pull up what that does again.
[01:03:42] Speaker D: Yeah, we do have that one.
[01:03:44] Speaker B: Craig's loaded right now, but, yes, I have that in the document. Just the nice thing about the.
[01:03:49] Speaker A: Just for my clarification, for the listener, I'm gonna say it's for the listener.
You use Star Splinter the most. Correct.
[01:03:59] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:04:00] Speaker A: And then what are the other major like? And when I say major, I mean, like, the other big weapons that you use or that you have. I mean, Star Splinter is really the.
[01:04:11] Speaker D: Only one that I like use.
[01:04:13] Speaker A: Yeah. What was the one you used before?
[01:04:16] Speaker D: I have the Warhammer.
[01:04:18] Speaker A: The Warhammer, and then the Minister.
[01:04:22] Speaker D: So I have the Warhammer, Javelin, Star Splinter and Minister.
Yeah.
Yeah. I. I do need my javelins because they're ranged well.
Yeah.
[01:04:37] Speaker A: Okay. But cool.
[01:04:39] Speaker D: Yeah. And then I have in my chat, the Luna Glaive, like, Landon message that.
[01:04:46] Speaker B: Yes, he did give that to you.
[01:04:48] Speaker D: Okay. I feel like that was a very quick thing there wasn't even, like.
Yeah, I think he just, like, handed it over. I forget why. I think it was to prepare for, like, combat or something.
[01:05:00] Speaker B: No, he was saying, hey, you have had this this whole time?
[01:05:05] Speaker D: Oh, heard.
[01:05:10] Speaker A: Oh, wow. It's big. It's a big boy 2.
[01:05:13] Speaker B: Let me pull that one up too.
[01:05:15] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:05:16] Speaker D: I don't need that.
[01:05:17] Speaker A: You don't like it?
[01:05:19] Speaker D: No, I don't need it.
[01:05:20] Speaker A: Oh, they said, I don't like that.
[01:05:23] Speaker B: Is that there. There are basically bot. There. There are weapons that are so powerful in Yalabrand that they're technically artifacts and.
[01:05:35] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:05:36] Speaker B: Star Splinter is On that cusp, it's like. It's. It's one of the 10 great weapons in Yalabin, basically.
[01:05:43] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:05:46] Speaker B: So everything else does pale in comparison.
[01:05:50] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:05:51] Speaker B: And you don't need to apologize for that.
Minister is big, strong. It's a plus one to damage and attack.
It's a plus two against fiends and undead.
It has. By slaying foes, you gain charges and you can burn those charges to use healing word.
So it's very strong do. If you sell it. Kanajay would buy that from you for.
Oh, man, that's really good. 2500 gold.
[01:06:27] Speaker C: Whoa.
[01:06:29] Speaker B: 2,500 gold.
Because the ability to give a different. Like if. Like a. A melee fighter who is. Yeah, you did sold. You did sold Terror. But the Luna Glaive has not yet been sold the ability to sell or the ability to give a different melee character who can't heal. Healing is huge.
[01:06:56] Speaker F: And.
[01:06:56] Speaker B: And healing word is a bonus action. So you're giving. You're giving a melee character the ability to bonus action heal on turns, which is huge. So she would sell it to you for 2,500 if you want.
[01:07:08] Speaker D: So what I'm wondering is why is the axe worth 10,000 and the minister worth 2,500?
[01:07:17] Speaker B: Yeah, the axe can do almost nothing.
But. But here's a really good way of looking at it. Here's a really good way of looking at it.
Minister is a rocket launcher and the axe. Is this a bad analogy with guns?
[01:07:32] Speaker C: The ax is a pretty light.
[01:07:34] Speaker B: The axe is. Is a lighter, but absolutely nothing more. But that 9 millimeter is made out of. Not plated in, made from solid gold.
And every single screen is a diamond.
Like, basically the ax is 11,000 gold worth of materials. And then the thousand on the end comes from like the enchantment and the voice inside.
[01:08:04] Speaker D: Got it.
[01:08:05] Speaker B: So it's just. Man, it's worth so much because it's made from gold and platinum and it's crusted in jewels. Like it's. It's like it is a fortune just sitting there on its own. That's why it's worth so much.
[01:08:22] Speaker D: Okay, I am going to hand over Minister.
[01:08:27] Speaker B: Okay. She takes it.
[01:08:28] Speaker D: And I also want to hand over the Luna Glaive.
[01:08:33] Speaker B: Okay, guys, buckle up. Craig's about to have an obscene amount of money. Craig's about to be the richest member of the party.
So Ministry has been sold. I've written that down.
And now the Luna Glaive, which is really cool that it's working its way back into noble hands.
Micah, you're at 19,781 gold now, which is crazy. The Luna Glaive. What does it do?
Plus one. Hidden damage can make light.
Plus one to all healing. Okay, that's really good.
Shoot. She'd take that for 1300.
Okay.
Because that's really good.
[01:09:24] Speaker D: So how much would that be?
[01:09:26] Speaker B: Oh, it's math time. I think you're at 21. 1,081 now. But let me check my math. Plus 1300 is. Yes. 21,081 gold.
[01:09:38] Speaker D: 21,081 a lot. Wow.
[01:09:42] Speaker B: Of money. Craig.
That's.
Craig has essentially $6.3 million right now.
Just nuts.
Oh, that's crazy.
[01:09:59] Speaker D: Okay, so. Okay.
[01:10:00] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:10:00] Speaker D: Okay.
Okay. I could probably get all three that I want.
[01:10:08] Speaker C: I'm so excited to see what you.
[01:10:10] Speaker B: Get if you want to. Now, remember to count your attunement slots and all that. Which. Which items is Craig attuned to right now? Star Splinter.
[01:10:17] Speaker D: So Star Splinter is one of them.
I'm trying to think of.
I don't like saying that I'm attuned to the orb personally, because now I'm not using him as a means of magic.
[01:10:36] Speaker B: Well, you're. You're not anymore.
[01:10:38] Speaker D: I'm not anymore.
[01:10:40] Speaker B: So I feel like completely. That is a completely valid question.
[01:10:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:10:46] Speaker B: You.
You gave up.
When you released the orb into the Wellspring and then put it into the ocean, you gave up that attunement. You haven't been attuned or for months. You have the orb back, but it's no longer providing your subclass. You're no longer.
[01:11:01] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:11:02] Speaker B: Okay, so it is not filling a slot.
[01:11:05] Speaker D: So I have. This is. I'm looking from the list that we had in 2024 as well, to make sure I'm not missing anything. I don't have the scroll of Jokes anymore.
[01:11:14] Speaker B: No.
[01:11:15] Speaker D: And I don't have Faber's class because I gave that to Jackie Key.
[01:11:19] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:11:20] Speaker A: And I gave it to my father.
[01:11:25] Speaker D: And I don't carry anything other than Star Splinter.
I. The warhammer is not an attunement. Am I, Tone? Am I. Do I have to be attuned to my armor, or does that just provide.
[01:11:35] Speaker B: You are attuned to Celtics, Plate of warding, or plate of the bastion, because it gives you a plus one to AC to your spell save and your attack.
[01:11:43] Speaker D: Okay, so that's two.
[01:11:45] Speaker B: So you're attuned to two items. Your. The rule for our campaign is that you have five attunement slots.
[01:11:51] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:11:51] Speaker B: I think the standard is three, but I Love magic items and I love strong parties. So you have three open tournament slots.
[01:11:58] Speaker D: Okay, this would actually be perfect because that's exactly what I want.
[01:12:01] Speaker B: Also, I am so not trying to bog us down in details, but I want to make sure you have every boon you can. Your charisma modifier is what? Craig?
[01:12:08] Speaker D: My charisma modifier is plus 3.
[01:12:12] Speaker B: Plus 3 8. Plus 3 is 11, plus 5 is 16. Because your proficiency bonus is 5 right now. Because you're level 13. Yep.
[01:12:22] Speaker D: Yep.
[01:12:22] Speaker B: Okay, in your sheet, what does it say? Your spell save DC and your spell.
[01:12:26] Speaker D: Attack bonus are so. Spell save. Hold on. I updated it in my Google Doc.
[01:12:32] Speaker B: Yeah, I got you, dude.
[01:12:33] Speaker D: I didn't have a pencil, so let me look at that. That'd be more accurate.
[01:12:38] Speaker B: And Abby. And Jackie, Micah doesn't need to apologize for this, and no one wants her to, but thank you for being patient. Jackie.
[01:12:44] Speaker D: Yes. Seriously.
[01:12:46] Speaker B: The piss of his gift.
[01:12:47] Speaker C: Do we know what Landon means? What he said in his channel? Because I do not.
[01:12:53] Speaker B: And he's gonna be later. I think he'll probably show up in the second edition.
[01:12:57] Speaker C: So he's gonna explain later that he's.
[01:13:00] Speaker B: Going to be later. If I understand correctly that he's not for the private concert. Moved around the order.
[01:13:07] Speaker C: But do you think in his channel.
[01:13:10] Speaker A: She means in his channel about what he said about the money.
[01:13:14] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:13:18] Speaker A: Was that just Landon being Landon, or.
[01:13:21] Speaker B: I think this just returns to what we've said many times about.
His jokes and his seriousness are so close, no one can tell.
[01:13:30] Speaker C: Okay, well.
[01:13:32] Speaker B: But. Oh, yeah, that's a joke either you're not here.
[01:13:36] Speaker D: So spell saves DC is 16.
[01:13:41] Speaker B: Okay. And your spell attack.
[01:13:44] Speaker D: My spell bell attack. My spell attack bonus is 9.
[01:13:48] Speaker B: Okay. Also, for whatever it's worth, I mean, I'm not trying to just swipe over people, but he boss did not personally own Terror, and he did confidently, as was his right, spend like 16, 000 gold of the group of the communal fund last time. So Craig has the right to use Terror.
[01:14:08] Speaker C: No, I agree, but.
[01:14:10] Speaker B: But completely.
Micah, you are right that your spell attack bonus is nine, but your spell save DC is not 16, it's 17. Because you get that plus one from your armor.
[01:14:21] Speaker D: Okay?
[01:14:21] Speaker B: So your spell move DC is actually awesome.
[01:14:24] Speaker D: Okay. So I just updated that right now.
[01:14:27] Speaker B: Okay, awesome.
Okay. Thank you for that momentary patience. Craig, you have 21000 gold. What are you buying?
[01:14:34] Speaker D: Okay, I would love.
[01:14:36] Speaker B: And the party is cleaning the house.
[01:14:38] Speaker D: Okay, can I tell you. Can I tell you the.
[01:14:43] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[01:14:44] Speaker D: The item name and then the.
[01:14:48] Speaker B: Okay, I have all the amounts in my document. You can just tell me.
[01:14:51] Speaker D: Scabbard.
[01:14:53] Speaker B: That's right.
[01:14:54] Speaker D: You're gonna.
[01:14:55] Speaker B: That's right.
[01:14:56] Speaker D: You're going 500.
[01:14:59] Speaker B: Oh, Micah, be prepared.
[01:15:01] Speaker D: So refraction also is 4,000.
[01:15:10] Speaker B: You said refraction?
[01:15:12] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:15:15] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. Criggle.
[01:15:19] Speaker D: And then this one. I'm not sure if it'll fit, but I'm hoping Godspeed.
[01:15:27] Speaker A: That's the one that Zach was waiting for.
[01:15:32] Speaker D: That's why I kept it up.
[01:15:36] Speaker B: Were you here when I told everyone? I really, really, really hoped you weren't. I basically made that item for Craig to own, so. Makes me very pleased you're saying that.
[01:15:49] Speaker C: Very.
[01:15:50] Speaker A: Please.
Very pleased.
[01:15:53] Speaker B: It's me, the DM goblin.
[01:15:55] Speaker D: Does that add up?
[01:15:58] Speaker B: No, it adds up with room.
Because Godspeed is 7500. 500.
Which I think makes that the third most expensive item the party has ever purchased.
[01:16:11] Speaker D: Hold on.
[01:16:12] Speaker B: It's awesome.
Oh, Micah has been. Oh, look at the face. Micah's frozen, and that's awesome.
[01:16:19] Speaker A: Oh, she's not frozen for me.
[01:16:22] Speaker D: Hey, I'm here.
[01:16:24] Speaker B: Micah. That is 14,500 gold total, which means you're. You're left with 21,081. Minus 14. 500. You're left with 6,581 gold.
[01:16:44] Speaker A: Crazy dang.
[01:16:46] Speaker D: Crazy dang. So I can get another thing? I'm just saying.
[01:16:53] Speaker B: Do you want those three items?
[01:16:56] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:16:57] Speaker A: Deal.
[01:16:57] Speaker B: Or yes, Craig.
[01:16:59] Speaker D: Yes, I do.
[01:16:59] Speaker B: You buy the mercenary Scabbard. And Refraction and Godspeed. Holy crap. Please put those items in your inventory, and please copy down those items. What I would do if I were you is I would either copy their names and what they do and put them in your channel as individual messages that you could pin, or I would copy them into a document of the magic items. You have one of the two.
[01:17:25] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:17:25] Speaker B: Are you okay with me describing to the listeners what each of those are?
[01:17:30] Speaker D: Really quick. Can I add another thing?
[01:17:33] Speaker B: Yes, you may.
[01:17:37] Speaker D: I'm buying this for Greta.
Can y' all hear me?
[01:17:41] Speaker C: What is it?
[01:17:42] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:17:42] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm buying. Curious Speaker.
[01:17:46] Speaker A: I already have it.
[01:17:47] Speaker C: I already bought it.
[01:17:48] Speaker D: Oh, you already have it.
Okay. Okay.
[01:17:54] Speaker B: But tell me.
[01:17:55] Speaker D: Tell me your friend doesn't know you.
I know.
[01:17:58] Speaker A: It makes me happy.
[01:18:03] Speaker B: Only a best friend would know that. Is there anything else you want? You still got six and a half thousand gold?
[01:18:09] Speaker D: Could I get Bottle Talent?
[01:18:14] Speaker B: Yes.
How many do you want? There's three of them.
[01:18:25] Speaker D: Let me look back at the price. I started scrolling, looking for more.
[01:18:30] Speaker B: That's okay.
[01:18:32] Speaker D: I could get all three.
[01:18:34] Speaker B: You did. Abby, you did sell it last time.
[01:18:36] Speaker C: Thank you. That's what I thought.
[01:18:38] Speaker D: Can I get all three?
[01:18:41] Speaker B: You can.
[01:18:44] Speaker D: Okay.
How much would that be?
[01:18:49] Speaker B: That is 375.
[01:18:55] Speaker D: I did. Oh, that's so fun.
Bottle talent, as you said.
[01:19:03] Speaker B: Okay, so that means that Craig has three vials of pen and shame. Vial of light misty flute fluid daintily attached to a thin golden chain by a robust golden cap with a minute diamond shaped stopper.
It's purpley inside, lavender with gossamer quality to its movement. And basically, if Craig or anyone else in the party drinks this potion, they gain proficiency with a skill saving throw or tool of their choice for 24 hours.
Craig, please put three potions of bottled talent in your inventory. Inventory.
[01:19:35] Speaker C: Great choice. Thanks.
[01:19:37] Speaker B: That was an awesome.
[01:19:38] Speaker F: Yay.
[01:19:40] Speaker D: Thank you. I love this.
[01:19:41] Speaker A: I love.
Do we need.
[01:19:44] Speaker D: Thank you.
[01:19:46] Speaker B: I love. I love giving you guys things you love. I'm sorry, Jackie.
[01:19:50] Speaker A: Sorry. No, I'm sorry. I was the one interrupting.
I was just wondering if we needed any other potions while we're here. Like do we want you guys?
[01:20:00] Speaker B: Yeah, why you guys take all. One more moment to read. Can I describe to the listeners some things everyone's bought?
[01:20:06] Speaker C: Oh, yes. Oh my gosh.
[01:20:08] Speaker A: Please, please. Well, please.
[01:20:11] Speaker B: Last time Greta bought bracers of defense, which basically means that now under her robes, Greta has these like hollow gold like or these, these hollow frame gold like beautiful filigree bracers. They're just like kind of metal frames she wears around her wrist and they give her a plus two to AC.
So now she's at an AC of 19, which is nuts.
She also bought the curious speaker which is like this little stone skull.
I love that gif.
And so if she asks it a question, it will tell her some random piece of knowledge. Baz bought the lucky coin, which if he flips it, it basically gives him advantage on something like once a day or something.
Robot. The band of the ambassador, which is this beautiful ring which lets her cast tongues a couple times. The inner memoir was described earlier in the session, which is this book where if you open it up and you touch a page and think, it gives you this beautiful description of an emotion and experience you've had.
Greta bought the scholars bifocals, which are those beautiful glasses.
Any language. Craig just bought mercenary scabbard, a slate black, black studded leather scabbard with gray accents.
It's got an over the chest strap bound to either end of a 2 1/2 blade holster with an adjustable iron buckle at its center. The scabbard is itself Straight and narrow, as though it was made for a. To hold a short sword. Basically, it is just an empty scabbard that Craig can put on his back. But anytime he reaches up and puts his hand over it and thinks of a weapon, if it's one of the weapons in his item, he will pull that weapon out, and he can have up to five weapons in there.
So Craig can just think.
So basically, Star Splinter will no longer be at his side, and it will basically be in, like, a. Like. Just like an. An invisible zone. And Craig will think of it, reach back, and pull the sword out, and he can do that with up to five weapons. And it's not an attunement item, which is sick, dude.
Micah, there are no right choices in D and D, but you did make all the right ones.
Then Craig bought Refraction, an ornate buckler shield. And so, just for everyone, a buckler shield is like a small shield, maybe like one to two feet across in diameter that someone wears on their wrist. So not like a big, giant shield, a smaller one that is as much a work of art as it is an armament. The octagonal shape, so it's an octagon of the shield, is set on a brilliant adamantine plate. So it's like a beautiful, gorgeous, silvery metal backing, the outer covering of which is a strange opalized glass which constantly absorbs and reflects light in a dazzling way. The trim is held down with a platinum gild, only adding to the opulent, shimmering beauty of the shield. So, listeners. Micah, you're cool with me reading the details, right? This isn't some crazy reveal. Okay.
Refraction.
When you take damage, you can use your reaction to expend one of its three charges. When you do so, refraction absorbs 3D12 of the damage you take, converts it to a random damage type, and stores it for up to three rounds. Anytime in that round, you can use another reaction on a different turn to blast the energy back back. And you roll a D6 to see what kind it is. So it could be cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, psychic, or radiant. So, basically, Craig gets hit with something, he can use a reaction to absorb up to 3d12 of the damage. So that could be 3. It could be 36, and he can store it for up to 3 rounds. Each time he uses that reaction, he uses a charge on a different turn. He can use another reaction to throw it back at somebody. So, so basically, what this means is Craig's in combat. He gets hit with a giant fireball he can absorb, let's say Half the damage he could on the next turn when he gets hit with something, use a reaction to blast somebody back with more damage. There is also a world where Craig uses all three charges in combat, absorbs, let's say, 51 points of damage, and then on a different turn, gets hit by something. And even though on that turn, he's already used his attack action to attack twice, and he's already dumped a Divine Smite on it on a different point in that combat round, somebody punches him in the face and he goes, that was cute. Holds up his shield and blasts them with 51 points of lightning damage or something. So this shield is sick.
And then we talked about the bottle talent, the one out of all of these I'm most excited about, and I'm not trying to play favorites or make a comparison, but the item I wanted everyone to buy but most in the shop today is Godspeed.
So not only is it the item I wanted to be bought most, it's one of the homebrew items I was the most excited about that I've made.
So, basically, Craig bought a gorget, which is like a metal plate for your shoulders that he can put over his full plate armor. It is a captivatingly intricate and beautiful piece of ceremonial armor. Armor Godspeed is a delicately carved light metal shoulder mantle of plated gleaming platinum.
The pauldrons on either shoulder are smoothly and intricately relieved with increasingly concentric heptagonal tessellations, so like swirling seven designs, themselves interlaced by thin veins of brilliant, almost luminous gemstones, like starry patterns of shifting cosmos. The body of the mantle between either shoulder is made up of hundreds of narrow, narrow strips of smoothly overlaying platinum, like bands of metal, impossibly narrow, woven together like fabric. The shallow, upturned collar of the mantle is finally graced by calligraphies of celestial poetry. The entire mantle risingly light, only feeling as though it weighs a few pounds on the shoulders.
Micah, do you want me to reveal what this item does? Are you like, No, I want that to be a sick reveal at a later time.
[01:26:03] Speaker D: I think for the listeners. I want that to be a sick reveal at a later time.
[01:26:06] Speaker B: Okay. That item does a thing, and I won't tell you what it does.
It's so cool for your housekeeping. That item does a thing you would use in a given situation.
Do you also see the note in the last line about how it affects, how it talks about the speed effect? Does it? Do you also also see what it says about the skill and the saving throw?
[01:26:30] Speaker D: So Oftentimes, with what you've written, I can't access the bottom lines.
Like, I. They're like, cut off.
Let me check. What if. Godspeed. Yeah, I can't see.
I can't see the.
[01:26:45] Speaker B: What.
[01:26:46] Speaker D: What's below important.
[01:26:49] Speaker B: I'm just gonna put it in your channel with the description and you can know from there. But basically, whenever you have it activated, just make sure that you're also giving yourself those.
Make sure that you're also giving yourself that benefit. So, like, there's an obvious thing it does, but please also make sure that you're giving yourself the.
The secondary benefit that it offers the add ins.
[01:27:24] Speaker D: So I. I just realized that if I copy what's written, it copies all the way down. And then I can just paste it on a different format so I can see all of it. But for some reason, it's like I can't adjust my eye. But that's okay. So I just saw all of those informations announced in my Google Doc. So we're chilling.
[01:27:42] Speaker B: They've also been added to your channel.
That was awesome.
Sick. Everybody. Now we have.
[01:27:54] Speaker A: Wow.
[01:27:54] Speaker B: The party is decked out.
Anybody got any else other shopping?
[01:28:01] Speaker A: I was gonna ask the. The rest of the party.
Do you guys think we would want, like, a potion of invisibility or potion of speed or anything like that? Y' all are. Y' all.
Are we, like, interested in any of that?
[01:28:20] Speaker D: I think that that would be fantastic. But I did notice it only lasts an hour.
[01:28:25] Speaker A: Yeah, but I mean, in a pinch, if someone needed to vanish real quick, it might be good. Don't know. Just a. Just a thought.
That would be good, so.
Because, you know, I can't hear you, Abby, You're a muted.
[01:28:46] Speaker C: I think that would be great. Especially while we're in a city where nobody likes us.
[01:28:51] Speaker A: That is very true.
[01:28:53] Speaker D: How many vials are there healing?
[01:28:55] Speaker B: Not trying to tell you guys what to do. Remember, you can buy those.
[01:28:58] Speaker A: That's true. That is.
[01:28:59] Speaker B: Potions are very expensive, but they're just. You know, they're. They're one ounce.
[01:29:04] Speaker A: I did have one question about what is. And I feel like you told me this last time we were here at the Blessing home, but I don't remember what it is. Again, what is? Shu's Mournful Melody. The. The Bard Spell scroll.
[01:29:22] Speaker B: Wow. Yeah.
[01:29:24] Speaker A: Okay, so that is because it's homebrew, right?
[01:29:27] Speaker B: That's a spell that Holden made up.
[01:29:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:29:30] Speaker B: Six years ago with Daniel. He had a character named Shoe, who was a bar, and they made up a spell called Mournful. Melody.
If you bought that spell, I would need to get in contact with Daniel. Have it. Basically that item is in there just as an homage to my friend.
[01:29:47] Speaker A: Gotcha.
[01:29:49] Speaker B: If you want to buy that scroll, I will find. I'll ask Daniel to get me that spell. And he will. And you can cast it. But for whatever it's worth, I think Colton's character made it when he was a fourth level bard, so I don't think it's going to be some.
[01:30:00] Speaker A: Yeah, it's still cool though.
[01:30:02] Speaker D: I love that.
[01:30:03] Speaker B: Just in there as a fun homage to my friend.
[01:30:04] Speaker A: Okay. And as far as like spell scrolls, because there's no price on them, so.
[01:30:10] Speaker B: Yes. I never finished that section because I'm a stinky, stinky boy.
[01:30:14] Speaker A: How dare you. You made a 26, 12,000 over 12, 12,000 Word document. And you made some mistakes. How dare you not finish this?
How rude of you.
[01:30:28] Speaker B: Now, if you want to buy one, I'll just pick a price. A price for it?
[01:30:31] Speaker A: Well, I was just wondering like resurrection, like how much that was. Cuz it could come in handy.
[01:30:39] Speaker B: Yes, I will pick that for you right now.
[01:30:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:30:43] Speaker B: I think I know resurrection very well, but let me pick.
Is anybody else buying any other potions?
[01:30:48] Speaker D: I'm just wondering why there are no paladin scrolls.
[01:30:54] Speaker B: I don't have any. I'm sorry.
[01:31:02] Speaker C: We have five attunements left.
[01:31:04] Speaker B: Yes, fine. Because remember in our campaign, our homebrew rule is that.
[01:31:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:31:09] Speaker B: A number of attunement slots is your proficiency bonus. I mean, in D and D, you're supposed to have like three, but.
[01:31:14] Speaker C: Okay. And I am attuned to my cloak of holding. I am not attuned to my armor cloak.
[01:31:20] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:31:20] Speaker C: Yeah, my cloak of. My robes of the curious.
[01:31:23] Speaker A: And you're attuned to your tattoo?
[01:31:26] Speaker C: I am. I've got my cloak of holding, my tattoo, nifty spyglass, Cherry speaker and incoatron. So really just like some. All of the. Those is information based and one of those is pocket based.
[01:31:44] Speaker B: So you're only attuned to two items then, right? Your tattoo and your. And your cloak.
[01:31:47] Speaker C: Well, I'm attuned to five. I have my cloak of holding, my spell rot tattoo, nifty spyglass, Curious speaker.
[01:31:56] Speaker B: Spyglass is not attuned next to curious speaker. In the document, does it say attunement? I'm pretty sure.
[01:32:07] Speaker C: Let me check.
[01:32:08] Speaker B: I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time, wouldn't be the last because.
[01:32:11] Speaker C: Yes, very rare.
[01:32:13] Speaker B: Okay, so that one's the third. The. The Spyglass is not attunement. What was the fifth one you said?
[01:32:18] Speaker C: The inculum.
[01:32:21] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Okay. That is. That is.
Okay, so you're a tune to four.
[01:32:30] Speaker C: Okay, I think I'm gonna give the pendant of arcane. Wait, no, I think I'm gonna sell that.
[01:32:38] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay. That's the. The necklace that picks up magic items, right?
[01:32:45] Speaker C: Yeah, I think I'm gonna. Because I never use it.
And I have a really higher.
[01:32:49] Speaker B: You are in a party full of people who can cast detect magic, so that's true.
[01:32:54] Speaker C: And I have, like. What is happening here? Why are we doing this? It's not supposed to happen.
[01:33:00] Speaker B: She will buy the pendant from you for 150.
[01:33:06] Speaker C: Okay. Okay.
[01:33:13] Speaker B: The resurrection.
[01:33:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
Yeah.
[01:33:20] Speaker B: Using the scroll skips the component.
[01:33:24] Speaker A: Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah, that's pretty cool.
[01:33:27] Speaker B: 1,000 gold piece, diamond.
[01:33:29] Speaker A: Oh, so that's gonna bump it.
[01:33:32] Speaker B: I'd say she'd tell you the scroll of resurrection for 2500.
Hold on. It's not true resurrection.
2000, 2000. 2000.
[01:33:50] Speaker A: What's the difference in true resurrection and resurrection?
[01:33:52] Speaker B: True resurrection is literally. I don't care who this person was. I don't care when they died. I don't care they're alive now.
Oh, literally anyone from any point in history. You're alive now.
[01:34:03] Speaker A: Well, resurrection is for no more than a century. That didn't die old age.
Wow.
[01:34:10] Speaker B: You could buy that one for 2000.
[01:34:12] Speaker A: I could. Literally. If I found Ravina's body, I could be.
But we don't know where that body is.
[01:34:21] Speaker B: Also.
[01:34:25] Speaker A: No, I am gonna buy. I.
I am gonna.
What do you guys think? Ro. Ro talks to her at the party. What do you guys think? Do we need resurrection? I can learn resurrection when I get a little stronger, but it's gonna be a minute.
Do you want resurrection in case in need of.
[01:34:46] Speaker C: How much was resurrection again?
[01:34:49] Speaker A: It'll be 2,000 gold.
[01:34:51] Speaker D: I could.
How much do you have?
[01:34:55] Speaker A: I don't have. That is the thing.
[01:34:58] Speaker D: I have.
[01:34:59] Speaker A: I have 200 gold.
I have 55 platinum. So wait, I do.
I have.
[01:35:07] Speaker D: You have 5500 gold, right? Because times 10.
[01:35:13] Speaker A: Right?
[01:35:14] Speaker D: Zach, is that math mathing?
[01:35:16] Speaker B: Sorry. How much platinum did you have, bro?
[01:35:17] Speaker A: I have 55 platinum.
[01:35:19] Speaker B: You have 550.
[01:35:21] Speaker D: Sorry, 500.
[01:35:21] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I was about to be like. Wait, I have 500.
[01:35:24] Speaker B: That's hard. It gets hard.
[01:35:25] Speaker D: There's no shame times 100.
[01:35:27] Speaker A: So that's.
What do y' all think? Do y' all think it's worth it right now? Or do Y' all think that it's okay because we have revivify.
So I mean we can.
[01:35:38] Speaker D: I. I think we should be okay. Personally, I think we should be okay.
[01:35:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:35:43] Speaker A: Okay.
I am. I am gonna get a potion of invisibility because that just sounds like something someone should have.
Especially Ro.
[01:35:55] Speaker D: Amen.
[01:35:59] Speaker A: So you can take 75 out of my gold.
I'll take it out. Zachary.
[01:36:07] Speaker B: I mean only you can.
[01:36:08] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I have wildfires. I'm just telling you I'm taking it out. So. And I'm putting it in there.
[01:36:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I put. I put down a potion of invisibility. Sold. So please feel free to put that in your inventory.
[01:36:22] Speaker C: Oh, that's just so fun.
[01:36:25] Speaker A: Or know when you got to be invisible or got to make somebody else invisible.
[01:36:35] Speaker B: There's also.
[01:36:36] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:36:37] Speaker B: I'm fragrance of vanishing, potion of flying, potion of giant strength.
[01:36:43] Speaker A: Yeah that. That one's cool.
[01:36:45] Speaker B: There are all the potions of healing, potion resistance, yada yada. Potion of speed to y' all.
[01:36:57] Speaker A: Okay, I'm good with my stuff now. I. I'm if as far as the things I was thinking.
[01:37:15] Speaker C: For the book.
[01:37:19] Speaker A: Huh.
[01:37:21] Speaker B: Okay. I. Well said. Abby.
[01:37:26] Speaker A: The I know we had said. I have a note here from last session that you told me to remind you that we show the osmodrecon to K and let her look at it.
So I just wanted to bring that up that wow, what an important thing.
[01:37:45] Speaker B: You just helped me remember that I was just gonna skippity, bump, bump, skip over.
[01:37:50] Speaker A: We sit in a little circle and I go here, look at this.
[01:37:55] Speaker B: Okay, let's take a second for this, bro.
At some point in this two day and like you guys are shopping and people go out and sell their gemstones and all that also you know, like you guys have three or four meals with Kanojer.
You spend a lot of time in her. Her conjured home in that one room, the permanently interdimensional space there or extra.
[01:38:19] Speaker A: Dimensional so cool that it's permanent.
[01:38:22] Speaker B: And so like there's. There's just hours and hours of like you guys recount if you so choose your adventures to Kanajay. She lets you know about characters you've passed through her shop. She tells you comings and goings of Home Cove. You guys discuss theories on things. I mean, you all spend two days with Kanajay, so to speak.
And there is a part of me that wants to have all that role play. And then there's another part of me that knows that we need to move on with the session. But she enjoys you all if anything, she just spends a great deal of time. She just talks with you all. She is not a. She's not an adventurer, she's not an operative, she's not a sell sword. She doesn't spend that time in the field. So there is an air of interest to all the stories she tells you. All are speaking. You're. You're recounting your stories to someone who was glad to listen to them, but also not to some lay citizen who's mind blown by everything you have to say. Someone who, I mean she's very impressed by some of what you have to say, but someone who's acquaintance of the Manabus and has been there for some of the haring moments of your life. Someone who's. Who knows many of the other really capable individuals in the world, those you know and many you don't.
So it's just this interesting experience where you get to spend a ton of time speaking with someone who really can speak at your level, but who's also glad to hear you. And not only are there simple recountings, but you all have philosophical conversations and she brings up all sorts of interesting historical pieces. She trades you a couple things that she has learned from the warriors of the well in there because they often apparently get in contact with her and speak with her.
She brings up adventurers from a century ago and some of their exploits because she was alive to know some of them.
She tells one embarrassing story about Alondra from 85 years ago, from when she was kind of. I mean she's been a wizard for a long time, but just a little goof up moment of hers and there's just a lot of. A lot of entertainment. And at some point Morgrom can't fit in the library upstairs, so he talks with Greta about some books for her to bring down and they have fun reading a couple books together.
But at some point in all that time, Ro, you bring out the osmodrecon and you bring it to K. So let's, let's roll. That is a moment truly worth capturing and roleplay, I feel.
So you find K at some point. She says hello.
[01:40:51] Speaker E: How can they be helpful? What's on your mind?
[01:40:55] Speaker A: I just. I just wanted to.
A while back we found this and we thought to bring it along with us. We found it in, well, a very, very old place in.
[01:41:12] Speaker B: You pull out the book and produce it halfway through your speaking. She's listening to you attentively, but she just. She just goes and all the emotion drops from her face and she just Stares at the book in your hand.
[01:41:26] Speaker A: And several of us have.
Have learned some spells from it. But I. I thought, that's an Osmond 3 icon. Yeah, it's volume five. We have no idea where or what the other ones are. But this has been pretty awesome to get into. I thought if anyone, you'd be interested in looking at it.
[01:41:51] Speaker F: I would.
[01:41:53] Speaker A: Ro hands it gently over to her.
[01:41:55] Speaker B: She just, like, takes off her hands. She doesn't open it. She just stares at it for a while.
[01:42:00] Speaker E: And she says, that's an Osman's Ray icon.
[01:42:06] Speaker A: Have you ever seen any of the others?
[01:42:09] Speaker B: Or she looks down on the counter in that main area, and she just walks away.
Oh, my gosh, no, actually, she doesn't.
She goes to the main magic display room, and she pulls back the rug in the center of the room.
And on the floor, there is this metal trap door in the floor that you all have never seen.
And she does this elaborate series of incantations and all of these locks, you don't see. These mechanisms chime and whir. And eventually the door lifts up and she just raises it and walks down a spiral staircase to a space you've never seen.
And then she walks back up with a book that looks a whole lot like the one we brought in.
[01:42:57] Speaker C: Whoa.
[01:42:59] Speaker B: And she closes the door behind herself. She, like, whistles, and the rug moves back to where it was or she snaps or. I don't know, she does something unique to her and she walks over and she just sets it down on the counter.
[01:43:10] Speaker A: And what does it say on it?
[01:43:12] Speaker B: There are two osmodreacons there.
They look slightly different from each other.
And as she opens up the COVID and Greta is called over to use her scholar's bifocals because it is also an eldest common.
You all brought in Osmodreacon, Volume five. What edition, Jackie?
Sorry.
[01:43:36] Speaker A: I got it printed out. Hold on.
[01:43:41] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. You ever printed my players the best?
[01:43:45] Speaker A: Gosh, I have sheets in a messy order.
Where is it? Oh, volume five, second edition.
[01:43:59] Speaker B: Okay. There on the table before you in is volume two, fourth edition.
So this is a different osmodreacon.
And as the book is opened and pulled out before you guys, I'm now going to put in lore and reference the.
The second osmodreacon.
[01:44:23] Speaker A: So it's volume two.
[01:44:26] Speaker B: Well, I'll. I'll put it fourth edition. I'll put it in the channel, but I'm sending it now.
Yes, Volume two, fourth edition.
And she tells you that she has looked her whole life for osmodreacons and never found them. And this year, four months ago, the warriors of the well brought in an awesome Drayakon they found. Found.
She says that they found it while adventuring through Chaskinen.
And I know that we haven't utilized the Azon a ton in this campaign, so I'm not putting any pressure on you guys, but there is a second Osmond Dreacon, if you all care to look over it.
Micah, thank you for putting that on your channel. That's super helpful. Helpful.
And it comes with bard and cleric and druid and Paladin and ranger and sorcerer and warlock and wizard spells.
This one has as many spells as the other one.
It's 19 pages, so there's no pressure to read it all right now. But Kanajay goes on to say, oh, Micah, there are, there are two pretty cool Paladin spells in here, Aura of Arcana and Lion's Heart. If that's its own whole thing.
Craig only knows so many, and there's rules that apply to that and all that stuff, but, you know, you can look over there. So Connache just goes on to say that.
[01:46:01] Speaker E: As much as this is a year of great ill omen and dark portent, it's also one of the best.
[01:46:10] Speaker B: Years of my life. And she just hovers her hand softly over both of the books.
[01:46:18] Speaker E: The orders of the well.
[01:46:21] Speaker B: Brought theirs.
[01:46:21] Speaker E: In, and with their permission, over the course of two or three weeks, doing almost nothing else in that time, I made a copy.
They left the original with me, and I gave them back the copy.
I would like to make a similar offer to you all. If you would be willing to give me the original, I will make you a copy of your Osmond's Racon and supply it to you as a part of that deal. If you so chose to sell me your original copy, I would also provide you with. I am continuously making facsimiles of the original. Of the other I have found, I would sell you a copy of this second edition of Asmakan.
[01:47:09] Speaker A: I mean, I, I, I, I can't speak for everyone, but I've, I've been the one that that's been carrying it on my person. And if I'm being honest, I think its home should be a place like the opalescent home under your watch.
And us with a copy, I'd actually feel more safer about that, and I would love to have a copy. And as you know now, we can come anytime and we could grab it from you whenever you're done with it. It's no Ruff.
[01:47:43] Speaker B: She's listening to you, but she's not. This is the least eye contact she's ever provided you. And Oya Mo. This is the least eye contact she's ever provided you. And she's literally, literally like she hasn't looked away from either of the books since they.
So she's just transfixed on them. She can't look away. This is the most flustered you've ever seen, Kanoje.
I mean, there was that time when Greta was possessed by the scale. And that's really the only other one that compares. She's just. And even then she stayed a little more level headed.
I think she's just transfixed on them.
[01:48:19] Speaker A: I think Ro says, like I said, obviously everyone would. Would have to be cool with it, but I. I think it would be an honor for you to. To have the collection.
I. I learned this from it. And she cast Legermane because she said it's become one of my usuals. And she flips a few pages in the Osmodrecon.
[01:48:42] Speaker B: You finally manage to steal her attention away as she watches a spell as Kanager, the knowing mage.
Look, watches a spell cast that she's never seen before.
And she just looks in amazement.
[01:49:00] Speaker E: And then she says, do that again. Do that again.
[01:49:02] Speaker B: And then you all have a two hour long conversation about all the spells and magic and you philosophize the magic. And then she demonstrates one or two spells from the other Osmodryacon you've never seen practiced.
[01:49:15] Speaker C: Wow.
[01:49:18] Speaker B: I don't know which one that would be, but.
[01:49:20] Speaker D: Oh, my God.
[01:49:22] Speaker A: Perfect timing. Landy.
[01:49:25] Speaker B: Lando, welcome.
And basically after a very long conversation about those Osmondreakons, hello and welcome.
[01:49:37] Speaker A: Lando.
[01:49:41] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:49:44] Speaker B: How England was. Landon.
[01:49:48] Speaker A: Hey, you all.
Howdy.
[01:49:51] Speaker F: Hey, y' all can hear me now. Okay. England was fine. There was too much fog.
[01:50:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:50:00] Speaker A: Yeah, do it, Jack.
[01:50:02] Speaker B: He.
[01:50:02] Speaker A: I've been listening to your podcast and it's really good.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
[01:50:10] Speaker D: I've only listened to the first episode.
[01:50:12] Speaker A: But the hair stuff was really creepy.
[01:50:14] Speaker D: Was like, that's weird.
[01:50:16] Speaker A: Yeah, listen to the other one.
[01:50:18] Speaker D: And he said it's really good. So I'm excited.
[01:50:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Shameless plug. Jackie has her own.
Her own podcast, Dumpster Diving. And I've listened to all three episodes. It's really freaking good.
[01:50:30] Speaker A: Thank you.
[01:50:30] Speaker B: And I'm very biased because she's my friend, but seriously, actually, it's. It's. It's really good.
[01:50:35] Speaker A: Well, I learned podcasting from the best, which is all of These people that you're listening to right now. So.
[01:50:46] Speaker B: Lando, everybody is finishing up their. Their shopping and their time in the. In the opalescent tome. So this actually works out perfectly.
Hoffa, did you happen to get an acai?
They didn't have any acai.
[01:50:59] Speaker A: Love me some acai.
[01:51:02] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
Okay. So sorry, baby.
[01:51:19] Speaker E: It's okay.
[01:51:20] Speaker B: It's okay.
The words as she. She continued.
[01:51:30] Speaker A: You good?
[01:51:33] Speaker B: Hoffa farted a couple times on her way out of the room and I. I wasn't.
Did that pick up on Mike? Tell me that picked up on Mike.
[01:51:41] Speaker A: Yeah, I didn't.
[01:51:43] Speaker B: My smartest. Forever apart in this part.
[01:51:45] Speaker A: Met your match.
[01:51:46] Speaker D: You've met your match. That's so funny.
[01:51:48] Speaker B: Tell you when I tell you God send me somebody just for me.
The Lord is good and he is God of farts as well.
Okay, so K about all that spellcraft and stuff. She continues. She says, if you are going to.
[01:52:08] Speaker E: Be willing and I do not want.
[01:52:10] Speaker B: To leverage my close relationship to you, please make your own choice.
You rightfully discovered this.
[01:52:16] Speaker E: If you would be willing to sell me your original copy of the Husband Raycon, I will stop everything else I am doing and I will spend the next two to three weeks copying it.
I have found a magical means of creating facsimiles after that. It takes time, but. And I will give you back a copy if you would be willing to sell me the original.
[01:52:37] Speaker B: I offered the.
[01:52:39] Speaker E: It is obviously worth infinitely more in a longer term sense, but I'm trying to preserve it and copy its knowledge.
[01:52:47] Speaker B: I offered the warriors of the well.
[01:52:51] Speaker E: 28,000 gold for theirs.
Would you all like that price?
[01:53:00] Speaker A: I mean.
[01:53:01] Speaker F: Yeah, you know, we're such good friends.
[01:53:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:53:05] Speaker F: Why don't we just give it to her, guys?
[01:53:07] Speaker A: I.
That's what I was kind of thinking.
[01:53:10] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:53:11] Speaker B: You agree to that or like half of that or something before you agree to that.
[01:53:15] Speaker E: Since I have the other Osmonds Raycon.
[01:53:17] Speaker B: And I have succeeded in making two.
[01:53:19] Speaker E: Other copies, I could then immediately sell.
[01:53:22] Speaker B: You one of the copies of the.
[01:53:23] Speaker E: Other Osmond Raycon for you all to just have.
[01:53:25] Speaker A: I mean, I. Yeah, that would be cool. I'd be down with that. I think that'd be awesome.
[01:53:31] Speaker E: I am selling the other copies.
[01:53:34] Speaker B: I mean, I'm. I'm.
[01:53:36] Speaker E: I haven't sold any others yet. My going rate, I'm moving between 75 and 100,000. But I think for you all, I would probably just call it 20.
[01:53:49] Speaker B: Wow.
[01:53:49] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:53:50] Speaker F: So real quick, let me boss speaks up. He says, so you want to buy the original for 28,000. You're going to sell a copy for.
[01:53:56] Speaker B: 20,000 of the other end, Boz Landon, to loop you in. When you all showed Kanajay the Osmodreacon, she stunned and amazed, revealed that this year the warriors of the well brought in a different osmodreacon, a different volume. There are two osmodreacons on the desk in front of her. And she's telling you all that she bought the original from the warriors of the well and made a copy of, gave it to them over the course of weeks, and now she's making other copies. And so there is a whole different osmodrecon, which is. I've put in Lauren reference. And so she is offering to sell you all a copy of the osmodreacon you don't have. It wouldn't be as gilded and ancient, but it would just be like a copy of all the spells and all their, you know, how they work in their spellcraft.
[01:54:38] Speaker F: Wait, but she said. Was. Did she say she. She sells the copies for like 20,000 gold each?
[01:54:44] Speaker B: No, she hasn't started selling them yet. She's saying she's going to 75 and 100,000 gold for the other copies. That's not what she's offering you.
She's giving you the single largest discount in all of history because she hopes you help save the world. She's offering you 20,000 for a copy.
[01:55:01] Speaker A: I. I think that's totally fair.
[01:55:05] Speaker C: He would buy this from us she wants.
[01:55:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:55:09] Speaker C: Then we would buy one her for 8,000.
[01:55:12] Speaker A: So basically.
[01:55:15] Speaker D: You guys would give profit.
[01:55:17] Speaker C: And get a new os, correct?
[01:55:19] Speaker B: Yeah. You guys would give her the original Osmo you have and then also get 8,000 gold when she gave you a copy of the other one you don't have there.
[01:55:27] Speaker F: I have a question, Zach, but I'm also very tired and I. Yeah, that's okay, man.
[01:55:31] Speaker B: That's okay.
[01:55:32] Speaker F: So maybe we can talk during the break.
[01:55:33] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. You can ask it now too.
[01:55:39] Speaker F: So she.
She was saying that when she sells the copies of these that she makes, she sells them for 100,000 gold.
[01:55:48] Speaker A: 7,500. But she has.
[01:55:50] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:55:51] Speaker F: Yeah. So 75 to 100,000 gold. She's going to sell the copies for.
[01:55:55] Speaker A: If she sells any.
[01:55:56] Speaker B: If she.
[01:55:57] Speaker A: It would be very.
[01:55:58] Speaker B: It would be very weak and it's.
[01:56:00] Speaker F: Very extraneous to make a copy.
[01:56:03] Speaker B: Yeah, it's basically all she does for a couple weeks, but.
[01:56:08] Speaker F: So she's willing to give us a discount and sell us a copy for 20,000 gold?
[01:56:12] Speaker B: Yeah, like a Like a. The largest discount in the universe.
[01:56:16] Speaker F: But she wants to buy the original one for 28,000.
[01:56:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:56:22] Speaker F: That seems like a bad deal.
[01:56:24] Speaker B: Sure.
[01:56:25] Speaker C: For us or for her?
[01:56:26] Speaker F: For us.
[01:56:27] Speaker B: If you.
[01:56:27] Speaker F: If she can buy the original that she can make copies from for $28,000. And every copy instantly nets her four times that. And then she sells us one of those copies at a discount for 8,000 less than what we gave her the original for. Which is now like a key for like 100,000 gold every two weeks.
That seems weird to me.
[01:56:49] Speaker B: Boz, why don't you give me an intelligence check?
[01:56:55] Speaker F: I'm also very tired. So if I miss.
[01:56:57] Speaker A: This is the first check of those. Of this.
[01:57:00] Speaker B: Well no.
[01:57:01] Speaker A: Oh wait. That's right. Michael rolled. I forgot.
I forgot. That's my brother.
[01:57:07] Speaker D: I had to roll for those money dollars.
[01:57:08] Speaker A: Let's be for real. That's right.
[01:57:11] Speaker F: If I knew somebody could get a hundred thousand dollars in two weeks if I sold them one thing, I would be selling them the thing for four to five. Five times as much as they could get for it.
[01:57:20] Speaker A: Yeah, but she's not going to be selling it to just anybody because it's the Osmodrecon. This is like her life's work of what she's always wanted to have is the Osmodrecons.
[01:57:29] Speaker F: I'm just.
[01:57:30] Speaker D: But I think what he's saying is that like.
[01:57:32] Speaker F: Like that's an insane ratio. Like even if it. Even if she only sold two, like that is wild. That is. That kind of margin is almost unethical to push.
[01:57:42] Speaker B: Would you get on your check?
[01:57:44] Speaker F: I got a 16.
[01:57:48] Speaker B: Okay.
That is enough. And you're a very sharp dude, boss.
Basically what you're. There is no sass here. You know, we're just. We're talking it out and that. I mean yeah, those are huge numbers to be talking about.
I'm gonna start with an amount of explanation that sounds insulting, but please bear with me.
You know that a gold is 300 is like the equivalent of of like $300.
And items in magic items are thousands of gold. They're basically millions of dollars. Hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars. This, the most expensive spellcraft is some of if not the most powerful force a mortal can ever attain other than perhaps deific favor and other similar world changing power powers.
It's. It's like novel propri. Proprietary technology and what. I don't have to say that, you know, I'm just philosophizing at this point.
A new spell is worth so much now. It is a Specific enclave of the modern population that can work with it. But a new spell is worth an incredible amount. Even a cantrip is incredibly valuable.
A book of tens of spells, some of which have no equal in the modern age from the great lost cultures of the elder world, is worth.
[01:59:30] Speaker A: More.
[01:59:32] Speaker B: None of these items are worth what she is offering or selling this book.
If. If there was an object in Yalabrand that could be worth a million gold, it might be this.
This is one of the only objects in the world at this point in history that could be comparatively almost worth a billion. Right?
Connage is offering numbers that are relevant to you.
It would be half of. She is one of the wealthier individuals in the world because of her business and her, and her. Her shop and all that.
For her to buy this text from you at the correct price would be most of the money she has and would instantly make you all some of the wealthiest people in the world.
And she's not demanding it of you. She's not invoking anything she is requesting.
Now we can have a role play conversation where, you know, we don't have to take all the luster out of this, but basically she's kind of implying, hey, this is yours. You found it. If you want to take it somewhere else and sell it to someone, you could instantly make yourselves overnight five of the wealthiest people in the world. You could enter Yabren's top echelon. The flip side of that coin is that if Kanager wanted to make herself, if she wanted to double her net worth overnight, maybe more of all of her items and all of her connections and her life's work and her shop and everything, she could just sell the original she has and instantly be as wealthy as many of the wealthiest kings and queens in this world.
There's a select few people in the world who can buy this item at its value. This item is maybe 10 or 20% of the GDP of some of the smallest nations in this world.
The figures it would take to operate with this at its actual value, both in buy and in sell are amounts you all have never been close to. You're. You're millionaires dealing in millions at this shop in amounts very few people. I mean, you know, at this point in history in a medieval setting, that's like a. That's like a 1 or 2% in the world population sort of. Or maybe maybe 3 or 4. I don't know.
The amounts these books are actually worth is there's 20 or 30 people in the world who can really sit at that table. Yeah, or less. So the reason she's offering the amount she is is because she is offering you infinitely less. Not infinitely, but single digits less than what this is worth. You all could also never afford to buy a copy. She's just making a trade with you and throwing some gold in for it is what's happening now. The worst is the fun guys don't need to take that deal. They could say no. They could walk away with the book, and they could try and sell it somewhere else or do whatever they want with it.
[02:02:34] Speaker F: I'm trying as fun guys, obviously, we're gonna.
[02:02:39] Speaker B: We're gonna make this. This trade. I mean, you guys can talk about it as players. I don't want to control you.
[02:02:42] Speaker F: But for me, I guess coming at this from. Which is interesting, this is Landon not boss talk. This is, you know, this is.
[02:02:48] Speaker B: This is.
[02:02:49] Speaker F: This is Landon knowing what he knows about certain things.
Something is only worth money in the context of if someone can buy it, how many people can buy it, and how many people want to buy it. So if something, even if it could be worth X amount of money, if nobody can buy it for that, then it's not worth anything. And if somebody wants to sell it, they're gonna have to be able to reconcile the two ideas.
Now, I get that when you're living in a world with all. All powerful magic items and different new spells to be able to bend the whims and, you know, fabrics of reality, you know, you're kind of working in a different echelon there than what's here in the material plane. And yes, I did just call Earth the material plane, but also in the idea of just like trade and business in general, if you have something with such confidence that, you know, that you could take and with, you know, even if it is proprietary, even with you have a really good skill, if you are the best craftsman of Rolexes, if Rolex no longer had the materials to make watches, like, it doesn't matter how good you are at it. You can no longer be in business.
They, for me, as a. As landed and then the amounts don't matter. I don't think it's. I don't think I'm even thinking in terms of amounts of. Just like I think the Fungi should have 60,000 gold and 3 scepters of Neptune. I'm. It's.
[02:04:17] Speaker B: And it.
[02:04:19] Speaker F: For me, I'm coming across it as like a transaction. Like, there's a high degree of certainty here that even if the few people in the world could afford to get this, there Are people in the world who will want this, need this, and want and like, crave this that probably spent their whole lives searching for this.
[02:04:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:04:33] Speaker F: And that if there is that level of certainty, if there is that level of certainty, that if she wanted to, she could take this book, make a copy, and then sell it for even 2x or 3x the amount, and then we walk away with 8,000 gold and a copy of another book.
It just doesn't feel weighted. Like if. Like if someone came to me in this world with that kind of deal, I would be like, it would be very. It would be very lopsided. It would not be a very favorable to me.
[02:05:04] Speaker A: The way I look at it is that Kanager is like. Well, especially to Ro.
Khanna J is like a longtime mentor and friend, and she a lot of times takes magic items and everything else to so that they're not out in the world and that she can control that. Only good people and like, the people on the right side of things have access to these things. So I'd honestly rather have her have it and have the. And have like, the protection of the opalescent to holding on to this osmodon than us just walking around with it in our pocket.
And if we were to get exploded tomorrow, some evil warlock now has access to the osmodreacon and is just walking around with it. And granted, that could happen if we had a copy of it. But I mean, this is like an ancient artifact book, basically.
Like, if somebody found one of like, I don't know, like one of Shakespeare's original books. Like, not necessarily bible.
[02:06:12] Speaker F: You found one of Shakespeare's original books, and then you went to the Smithsonian and they said, hey, you found one of the rarest books of all time. How about we take it, make a copy with it, we give you another copy of a really good book and then.
[02:06:27] Speaker A: But that is what happens because it's like we're donating it to. To betterment of society. Like, that is what happens. Like, I'm not trying to make money off of this. Kanajay has spent her life trying to find these things.
[02:06:41] Speaker F: I think. I don't think I. I really. It's not even a big deal. I'm so sorry. I did not mean to.
[02:06:48] Speaker D: We can talk about it on break if we.
[02:06:49] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, I don't mind talking about it on break. I think it was. I think what got me is the whole thing of like, hey, thank you for this. It sounds like this is worth more than anybody could ever pay for it. If you Give it to me. I'll give you a copy of it and a small sum of. And I'll charge you for another one.
I, I don't know.
[02:07:11] Speaker C: So what a trade.
[02:07:12] Speaker F: Let's move past it. Let's move past it. Let's keep going.
[02:07:17] Speaker D: Like, just keep going.
[02:07:31] Speaker A: I mean, I think I, I don't know if, from the way she acted, I don't know if she even will ever sell it. Like, I could see her using it to, like, let the Manabis take from it and stuff like that.
[02:07:44] Speaker C: But would a trade be more appealing? Landon?
[02:07:48] Speaker F: I, I, I'm 100% okay with the way it was. I feel more like I'm like missing something or like I don't understand. And it's probably because I'm very tired. I just, I don't usually spend this much time out in public.
[02:08:01] Speaker A: Yeah, I feel that. Or outside.
Some of them don't go outside.
[02:08:06] Speaker F: I think, I think there was just a conflict between.
Because I feel, I'm wondering. I feel like I understand all the ideas and points being made and the personal professional experience that I have is just like a big block in my head that is just saying that, like, if this was something happening right here, right now, it would feel weird. But I don't think it feels like that in the game, if that makes sense. And so I'm just kind of having to reconcile the two feelings. But I think we should make the trade. And I think it'd be really cool to have a new volume of the osmondrycon.
[02:08:44] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I was muted just for the sake of letting you guys have your own conversation. Because sometimes you don't need the dm. Sometimes it's all about players.
We can make this a conversation during break. We can make it a second session thing. You could actually just talk to Kanji about this in character if you want, or we could just move on there. There is no pressure either way. This is just an in game thing. We don't have to get.
[02:09:02] Speaker F: I don't even really care about the gold.
I really don't. I, I really, I don't even really care about the gold. I don't even know what I would want to get out of a conversation even if we had it. I'm sorry. I don't even think it was.
[02:09:14] Speaker B: That's okay.
[02:09:14] Speaker F: It was, it was very surprising to me as a person and. But I don't think it really matters.
[02:09:19] Speaker B: In your relationally speaking, in your defense land. And there's also something too. I'm not an outside body.
There's something too. Going to a concert for a friend, being thrown back into one of the wildest conversations in the middle of a session and being like, oh, hey, what's happening? I'm exhausted. What? What? So, you know, that's totally fair, dude.
It's completely fair. No judgment here.
Just let me know what you guys want, that's what we'll do.
[02:09:45] Speaker C: I personally feel okay with either option. I think we should either take the trade or like, just trade it. You hear you. Here you go.
Or we can take the 8,000. I don't personally have problem taking the 8,000, but if we want it for like, narrative purposes to donate it, then we can. Can.
[02:10:12] Speaker A: 8,000 is fine. Cuz I mean, we do. We do shop with her and everything else. So I think that's. I think that's. That's fine.
[02:10:21] Speaker C: Take the deal.
[02:10:22] Speaker A: We sell and trade with her all the time. I mean, if. If everyone is okay with that dm.
[02:10:27] Speaker F: Correct me if I'm wrong. I think the was the proposition that we.
We give her the book and then in two weeks time she'll make a new copy of it and that we will get the new copy 2 to 3. And that's right now. And you know. Yeah, yeah. Give or take half a week or so. But right now she currently has a copy of another version of the Office Madrid con that we don't have and she will give us that and 8, 000 gold in the meantime. Right? Or am I or is that not what.
[02:10:58] Speaker B: That's exactly correct.
[02:10:59] Speaker F: I think that's what the deal is. I think it's just one option, which I think we should do.
[02:11:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:11:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:11:04] Speaker C: Well, yeah, okay. That sounds good to me.
[02:11:08] Speaker B: I'm just gonna.
Nobody has messed anything up. You can't get DND right or wrong. You guys are in this world a lot and your characters are smart. And I think Landon's making a good point just about disconnecting distance. I just. I mean, I don't usually move the DM screen like this just because I want you guys to be able to explain, to interact with the world directly. But I'll just. Just say you guys have gauged this correctly. You guys do correctly understand this. This item is basically priceless. And to put a price on it would be to play around with goofy numbers.
Kana knows that you guys can't possibly afford anything in this sphere. So basically she's just. She's just telling you guys, hey, you have one of the most valuable items in the world. If you want to take this first for yourselves.
[02:11:53] Speaker E: And just.
[02:11:54] Speaker B: If you can find someone capable of buying it and just get stupid rich, there is that option. Otherwise, I believe it belongs here. Give it to me. I will give you a copy of a different one, which basically you could also almost never pay for. But she's like, I'm. You know, I. She's basically saying, like, you guys are fighting the Sith. Here's an extra lightsaber labor, you know, and then she's. And then she's saying, and for giving me one of the most valuable items in part of my life work here is also a lot of money. She's basically just trying to help you out. She's trying to.
[02:12:30] Speaker F: Okay, so some money was less of just like, all right, here, I can sell this for this amount. It was just like, if this. If someone could have enough money to buy it, this is how much it would be for.
[02:12:39] Speaker B: Yeah. Did you. The Justice League brought in a world blowing up doom laser, and she said, thanks. Nobody should have this.
Here's a lightsaber. Good luck fighting Darkseid. Also, you know, like, here's. Here's a couple million dollars. I hope this helps with things. That's what's happening right now.
[02:12:59] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[02:13:01] Speaker C: And.
Yeah.
[02:13:04] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:13:04] Speaker D: Okay.
[02:13:05] Speaker C: I mean, realistically, this is just gonna. Hopefully. Hopefully this is gonna go to the warriors of the well, you know, so if we give it to her, like.
[02:13:14] Speaker A: A copy of it. Yeah.
[02:13:17] Speaker C: Warriors of the well, and anyone else whom Kanje trusts, like the Manibus or something.
[02:13:24] Speaker A: Yeah, right.
[02:13:25] Speaker C: Like, I feel like even if someone had enough money, she wouldn't share it with them.
[02:13:30] Speaker B: Unless you all can infer easily enough based off what you know about Kanje. These books are currently just circulating between you guys, the warriors, the well, and the man of Us. And maybe there's a future where there's someone else, but this person who vaults some of the most dangerous items in the world so that no one else can touch them is not just going to be like, who's the highest bidder? I mean, her whole thing is trying to help control the balance of power in the world through access to items like this.
[02:13:57] Speaker D: Can I ask a clarifying question?
[02:13:59] Speaker B: Yeah. What's up, big dog?
[02:14:01] Speaker D: In two to three weeks, will we have two copies?
One that we did not have before and one that we technically, in some way, did have.
Okay, I'm all down for that.
[02:14:13] Speaker B: No, no, you'd have one of them right now. Yeah, the one you didn't have right now, and then the one you already had again.
[02:14:19] Speaker A: I. Okay, I just recorded that into My inventory.
[02:14:22] Speaker F: So how do we get. How do we get the new copy of it?
[02:14:27] Speaker B: By coming back.
[02:14:28] Speaker A: Yeah, we. You or I can just, you know, teleport in now to her and grab it when she says.
Yeah, just pop in when she calls us and says, hey, I finished the copy. I can just come get it for spend the night and zap back.
[02:14:47] Speaker D: I'm down to do it. I vote yes.
[02:14:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:14:52] Speaker B: Down.
[02:14:52] Speaker A: Landon, if you're cool with it. If you're not, we can do something. But.
[02:14:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:14:59] Speaker A: Okay.
So I took. We have the tomb out of the tome out of my inventory. I put copy next to it, and obviously we don't have it yet. And then I put the new copy in my inventory.
[02:15:14] Speaker B: Somebody put 8,000 more gold in the group's group fund.
[02:15:20] Speaker A: Landon, you want to take that?
[02:15:22] Speaker D: I can do it. I can do it. No worries.
[02:15:24] Speaker B: And now you guys have a copy of the second edition and you'll have a copy of the fifth edition in however much time. And she'll ring you up.
We will call this the end of the 17th and oh, the day. Yes, Jackie, there is all the room in the world.
[02:15:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:15:45] Speaker B: For you to do your thing now. Or we could open with it in the second session. How would you like to do this? Not. You're not killing anyone.
[02:15:54] Speaker A: I'd like to kill this person.
[02:15:57] Speaker B: And then Ro turns around and stabs Boz to death.
[02:15:59] Speaker A: I would like to do it right now because I know Abby's gonna miss the first part of.
[02:16:05] Speaker B: Right. Okay.
And Abby, if this session goes on for a time more. Is that messing with you?
[02:16:12] Speaker D: Let me.
[02:16:12] Speaker C: Can I go check super quick?
[02:16:13] Speaker F: I. I haven't said hi to Mel yet from coming back. I thought we're gonna start the second session with it. Can I go Step away while. While Abby steps away too real quick. To say hi to Mel. Since I just got home.
[02:16:23] Speaker A: Tell her I said hi as well.
[02:16:26] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:16:28] Speaker A: Also, I was wondering, are we. Are we leaving?
Up to you guys.
[02:16:34] Speaker B: That's a role play decision.
[02:16:35] Speaker A: Because I kind of wanted to at the end of this night, us travel back to the boat because I wanted the crew to be there too.
[02:16:47] Speaker B: That is. That is not a bad option at all. Jackie, let me float this by you.
There is a world in which Abby may need to dip.
[02:16:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:16:56] Speaker B: Landon's big schleppies.
[02:16:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:16:58] Speaker B: Maybe this. And this has been a very logistical episode. There's nothing wrong with that. Those are part of the story need to happen. Maybe there's a world in which we will check with everybody when they get back. Maybe this session ends now, and you decide in the second session whether or not you want to just go ahead and do your thing.
And maybe Abby's not there for it. Or if you're like, you know what? I will live and die by everybody being here. And then you could just have the DM experience of being like, I will delay this plan. And, you know, eventually, when. When the stars align and everyone's there in the conscious, you do it. It's up to you. Just. I just wanted to float that.
[02:17:37] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:17:38] Speaker B: In your also. Thank you for being so flexible about it.
[02:17:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:17:40] Speaker B: What's the verdict, Crabby?
[02:17:43] Speaker A: Good.
[02:17:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:17:45] Speaker A: So now we just wait for the Londonian.
[02:17:50] Speaker B: Nickel. Did it look like you wanted to say something there for a second, or was I crazy?
[02:17:55] Speaker D: I.
You feel really tired.
[02:17:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:18:00] Speaker D: Not leaving. Not leaving.
Well, like, my brain is, like, taking.
My brain is, like, taking longer to process.
[02:18:08] Speaker B: And also, I need to buy some more items.
[02:18:13] Speaker D: Can we do both all at the same time?
[02:18:14] Speaker B: Like I said, explain a gold and the copper to me. Me three or four more times.
[02:18:17] Speaker D: One more time.
[02:18:19] Speaker A: So.
[02:18:19] Speaker D: Okay. Quick question.
What?
[02:18:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:18:25] Speaker A: What?
[02:18:26] Speaker D: I have a quick question.
[02:18:27] Speaker B: Y.
[02:18:29] Speaker D: So I definitely want to. I put the 8,000 gold into the inventory chat. However, I don't think that that's the right place.
[02:18:38] Speaker B: That's fine. It'll find its place. Very demure, Abby. Very demure.
[02:18:42] Speaker C: This is my pilot.
[02:18:42] Speaker D: I want to put it in the right place. Do you know where that location would be?
[02:18:47] Speaker B: It can be discovered another day by more sober and conscious people. Sober?
Well, sleepy is a kind of drunk. Let me tell you.
As long as it's in the chat and been messaged at everyone, it'll find its place.
[02:19:02] Speaker A: That do be true.
[02:19:04] Speaker C: Not according to the law.
[02:19:06] Speaker B: No. Not least legally or chemically. But as someone who DMS for you all regularly experience, let me tell you, it's the truth. It's the truth. I spent a lot of time around a lot of drunk people, and I've DM'd for a lot of Sleepy players. What is the difference? No one can say hang out with me.
There are two different kinds of inhibition. While we wait for Landon to return in the. I will delay for us for a moment, but I'm going to try and make this mildly interesting for you all and for the listener in the campaign that I played with Daniel, um, we recently discovered who our BBEG is.
His name is Visigoth and we don't know anything else about him.
[02:19:40] Speaker A: That's a cool name. Shout out to Daniel.
[02:19:44] Speaker B: But a councilwoman. We implicated a Big bad evil guy like. Like Zorogram is your bbeg. So we found out who our bbeg. We found out who our Zorgrim is and.
Or our shista. I don't. I'm learning the scale still, but basically, the councilwoman we implicated in being part in being legally culpable for the giant invasion in the death of a third of our town that we saved.
Go piss Abby.
Her trial was public at the docks, and when the rest of the council sentenced her to death for her crimes, they put her on. They were having a ceremony to mourn all the dead in our town, and they loaded up all the dead bodies on three different ships covered in oil and grease, and they set it out to sea to burn. You know, burial at sea on a burning ship. But they tied her to the mast and they set it out to sea. And my character, who is the level headed, sober minded, rational person in our group, the straight thinker, decided to turn himself invisible and get on the ship. And I'm a bard. I'm a bard in our campaign.
Sometimes I turned myself invisible and I got on the ship and I went to her and I was like, hey. Because we basically.
[02:21:04] Speaker A: Hey.
[02:21:05] Speaker B: In her last moments before being tied to the boat and executed and set off to see, she looked at us and whispered the name. And all of us made checks to understand what she said. None of us got it except for one member of our party.
And he understood what she whispered. And then we all talked to each other and we're like, what is that about? So then my guy got on the ship with her and all the dead bodies and they sent it out to sea. I was like, okay, I know they're gonna burn this, but I'm gonna hold on for a second.
And when I asked her, hey, who is Visigoth? What's his name? She just started going crazy, which she had done two or three times already in the campaign. She was very unstable at that point. But she just kept yelling, you shouldn't have said his name. You shouldn't have said his name. Don't say his name. You shouldn't have said his name. And then a storm appeared or was already rolling in, but lightning struck our boat and it did 45 points of damage. And my character has 45 hit points.
And I was.
And Daniel gave me one dexterity saving throw to get out of the way before we knew the damage. And he also didn't know that was my exact hit points. So he gave me a Dex save. I rolled gold. I told him the result. He Told me the damage. And I was like, oh, that's all my hit points. And then I told him my result. He said, you beat the DC by one. And so my character by one. I dove off the side of the boat.
[02:22:18] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
[02:22:19] Speaker B: Women breathe water and stuff.
And so instead, I just took half of my hit points all at once. So my character almost died last session.
[02:22:25] Speaker A: Wow.
[02:22:26] Speaker B: And I just went back to shore. And now. Now our whole party has to re. Figure out everything because. Because we were like, oh, God, my. My goodness. We saved our. Our town from the giants. Good job. And now we're like, no, we're playing with a God, A demigod.
Like, we're out of our depth. What are we doing? It's crazy. So.
[02:22:46] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh. That's insane.
[02:22:49] Speaker B: And every single time any member of our party says his name, he speaks to us in our head. And a different character got electrocuted talking like. Like, because they were near a metal object last session after they said his name. So now no one in our party will say his name. And it's really scary.
[02:23:05] Speaker D: You know that guy, that one.
That one.
[02:23:09] Speaker A: That one guy. So just come up with a different name for him.
[02:23:12] Speaker B: I told that entire. Yeah, we're gonna have to. I told that entire story to delay until Lana got back. And now Abby has left.
[02:23:18] Speaker D: Can you say.
Can you say his name backwards?
[02:23:20] Speaker A: She's gonna. She gonna be Micah.
[02:23:23] Speaker B: That's such a good idea. That's what we need to start doing.
Thugasive. Fogasive is what I was. What we should do. Okay.
[02:23:31] Speaker A: Landon.
[02:23:33] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Go get him. Jackie, I think you told me.
[02:23:36] Speaker A: I was just gonna ask if.
How you felt about us going back to the. To the ship, because the thing I have. I would. I would like the crew to be a part of, but I didn't know if anyone had more business in Homecoming Cove right now or if we could. If we could zapped on back to the ship.
[02:23:54] Speaker F: I. I have some things that I need to do.
Could we come back to Home Cove after?
[02:24:00] Speaker C: Yeah, same, same. I would like to do the thing and then come back because I think.
[02:24:03] Speaker F: I have a few things I have to get all my spell components from.
[02:24:06] Speaker A: If y' all are.
[02:24:07] Speaker F: Because I can.
[02:24:07] Speaker A: If y' all are cool until I have it.
[02:24:10] Speaker D: Yeah, but. Okay, so.
[02:24:11] Speaker C: And then come back.
[02:24:12] Speaker A: Okay, chill. Chill, man.
[02:24:14] Speaker B: The party is hyper mobile. This. The day after they get. They get teleport. They're like, let's go to Home Cove and then back to the boat and then back to Home Cove.
[02:24:20] Speaker A: And then I will teleport you guys back. You'll have to give me a day.
[02:24:23] Speaker D: But.
[02:24:23] Speaker B: Hey, wait, wait.
[02:24:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:24:25] Speaker D: Why doesn't Jackie just go to the boat if we. If she needs to?
[02:24:29] Speaker B: I wants to show everyone because I.
[02:24:31] Speaker A: Want to show everyone this thing that I have done, including y' all and including the crew.
[02:24:38] Speaker D: Okay.
[02:24:39] Speaker A: Okay.
So.
Yeah.
So.
Okay.
[02:24:48] Speaker B: Okay.
Is that a smash cut?
[02:24:51] Speaker A: Sure.
[02:24:52] Speaker B: Okay. It is.
Now it's the 18th, and the group has gone back to the ship.
Goober is very glad to see you all. The crew. Crew welcomes you. They check out a lot of your duds.
Everyone gets looked over. But people have a lot to say about Craig's new gorgeous shield and. And gorget over his armor and all that. And you guys show off the stuff it does and all that cool stuff.
It's halfway through the 18th. Everyone's had a long rest. All abilities and spells replenished.
Jackie, take it away.
[02:25:28] Speaker A: Rose, everyone.
I need. I need everyone on.
Where should we do this? Should. Let's go down below. Can everyone go down below for. For a moment? Everyone including you. Nom.
[02:25:43] Speaker C: Nom is.
[02:25:45] Speaker B: I mean, I don't really want to do this.
[02:25:47] Speaker A: Trust me. You're going to. Nom. Just trust me.
[02:25:50] Speaker B: I don't really. I don't think I'm going to cut off your tell me what to do. And all of a sudden Goober turns around and goes, nam. I tried to be pretty patient with you, and sometimes you have a crummy attitude. But let me tell you something. I understand that the people on this boat have some skills to learn, but they are saving the world every day. They risk their lives constantly. And you know what? They love you. And I'm not saying you have to get to any kind of place with that affection, but if we're always asking one thing of you, one time, I would like to ask as your captain, that you go downstairs and you be a part of this experience. Chance, I'm not going to force you, but do you remember that conversation we had the other day?
Shut up.
[02:26:35] Speaker D: I love that she's still here.
[02:26:39] Speaker B: And Goober, after he says all that, he walks up to you and he goes, okay, but he's watching the helm. Should I just kind of put it in park or.
[02:26:48] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, put it anchor. It.
[02:26:53] Speaker B: Ties the helm down to itself with a rope, and then he comes back down.
[02:26:56] Speaker A: Okay, so fun guys. And when I say fun guys, I mean every single person in this room.
[02:27:02] Speaker B: You gotta smile at a pluff. Everybody's. Everybody's crammed downstairs around that middle platform.
[02:27:07] Speaker A: Area barely fitting for a long time, for most of my life, I have not had a home.
And then I met you, you all. And I kind of learned that a home is not necessarily a place, but it can be a group of people that you rely on.
And you guys have all become my family and my home. But we, I think, all deserve.
I'm up place to call home when we need it.
So the past few days in homecove, I worked with a conage, and she gave me this. And she holds out the. The silver spoon.
And I worked really hard on this. And it's something I've been thinking about for a while. And she. She helped me learn how to create us a home. Be it temporary, but I can conjure it when needed. So I present to you guys the. The fun guys.
Well, hold on. And she stands there, and she starts casting. And it takes, like, a minute for her to catch cast this. And as she's playing on her loot, it's just like, there's, like, magic coming out of every pore of Ro, like purple and gold and green. And as she's doing this, she almost kind of goes into, like, a trance. And it's.
It's the chaotic mage that she plays, because that was like.
And as she plays it, a door starts to form in front of her on the wall, kind of.
And it's not like the teleport door. This is a door that is.
It kind of shimmers gold on the edges, but it is a very beautiful, ornate wooden door. It's purple, and it has a mushroom door knocker on it.
That is so cute. And after about a minute, it's standing there, and it's glowing. And she says, I present to you all what is here on out to be called the Fungi's fantastical fortress.
[02:29:50] Speaker B: Bro, that door is amazing.
[02:29:52] Speaker A: Well, I hope what's inside of it is even more so. What do you mean?
Well, it's made of wood. Who would like to do the honors?
And she.
[02:30:06] Speaker B: Everybody looks around at each other.
[02:30:07] Speaker D: Nam. You should do it.
[02:30:10] Speaker B: Nom looks up at you, bares her teeth, and she says, I am already down here.
[02:30:14] Speaker E: Shut up.
[02:30:18] Speaker A: Greta, would you like to open the door?
[02:30:20] Speaker C: I would love to. Yeah.
Okay. Greta walks up and how. How high is the doorknob?
[02:30:28] Speaker A: It's like the perfect height for all of us to be able to reach it.
It's the perfectly centered height.
[02:30:37] Speaker B: Some people can reach up a little, some people can reach down.
[02:30:40] Speaker C: Yeah, she probably, like, reaches up a little. And just like after. Just like A moment of hesitation, like, pushes the door open and I guess she looks back, like, do I walk through? Do I?
[02:30:54] Speaker A: Yeah. Everyone can file in. Okay.
[02:30:57] Speaker B: Okay. When the door opens, Jackie, turning the reins over to you, what does everyone see?
[02:31:03] Speaker A: Okay, so Apollo, on entering the door, everyone is met with a grand room.
It's extremely. It's very big. It's.
I had the exact dimensions, but I don't know where they are now.
But it's quite large. It's like 40 foot ceilings. Like we're talking, like it's a huge, grand living room.
And with.
In the very center of the room, when you walk in, there is a beautiful huge mangrove tree that's in the middle of the room.
And if you look up into the ceiling, the foliage and leaves have little gold twinkle lights all throughout to illuminate the space.
And carved around the tree trunk, you will find each of the fungi's initials carved with a slight gold glow.
And the mangrove tree actually sits at the center of a small pool in the middle of the room where anyone can swim, walk into, or relax in.
It is fresh, clean, crystal clear blue water. Every time that you come here.
And actually if you swim underneath, I don't know if I should say this or not, but like, I'm not used to having this much power. Zach, if you swim underneath the water, I feel like Ro would be explaining all this as y' all are in there.
You can go up under the mangrove tree roots and find a 10 foot circular hidden room with the walls that are made up of the tree trunk.
[02:32:59] Speaker C: You swim up into the tree and.
[02:33:02] Speaker A: It provides a 10 foot room for you.
So besides the center with the tree and the nice pool for everyone to swim in, there is a small bar off to one corner with a few beautiful crystal decanters filled with various spirits, multiple ornate goblets for use in spells. And then a little further off to the side, there is a.
There's a banquet table that has enough space for 15 people to eat at if necessary. And a centerpiece set sits there, which is a basket filled with fresh honey bread, which will always be waiting on the table when anyone comes in.
To the far other side of the room, there is a stone fireplace and hearth that can be lit. And off to the right of it there is a hallway around the fireplace, along bookshelves and the floors, you will find various fungi growing everywhere. The place looks elegant, but there's definitely naturey fungi vibes.
So Ro introduces the room to you guys and she says, and then through, through the hallway, everyone will Find their room.
Yeah. Where did Micah go?
[02:34:34] Speaker B: The crew is just walking around slack jawed and stunned.
And Shpagoober has tears in his eyes and a smile like he's, he's smiling so big, like it's supposed to be a closed mouth smile, but his teeth are exposed a little.
And as everyone looks in awe at the space, Shpagoober is just smiling at you, Ro.
You can see the spirit, the pride welling up in his face and spilling over his eyes.
Bilfrey and Plough are just waiting their hands in the pool and going and sitting down at the table. Nam is just staring up at the tree in amazement. And as you say that part about your rooms, she just turns and she says, our rooms?
[02:35:18] Speaker A: Yeah, there are rooms for everyone. Along with a training room, a theater.
[02:35:26] Speaker B: Bill Free and Plough smile and look at Craig when you say training room.
[02:35:30] Speaker A: Some lavatories and a spa and a bedroom for everyone of course. Bill Free and cloth. I, I figured you guys would want to share a room if that's all right.
[02:35:43] Speaker B: Both look cross and they go, I don't want a room with her.
I don't want a room. That's stupid.
And then like, Plough looks away and Bill Free kind of looks at you.
[02:35:54] Speaker A: Oh, one of my favorite, one of my favorite things that I forgot to mention. There is a sign on the wall.
It's just a plain wooden plank. It kind of looks like something that you might find in Hobby Lobby in our world.
And it has painted on it in gold letters. As for me, in my house, we will serve the maker fungi 3488.
[02:36:20] Speaker C: Is there one like right below the really like fancy scrolly letters? Piss abyss.
[02:36:26] Speaker A: Well, they're actually.
[02:36:27] Speaker B: Dang it.
[02:36:28] Speaker A: I hate that there's not. But if you go to the lavatories, when I show them to you, you will find a literal PIs where you can pee and it immediately prestidigitates it away.
[02:36:40] Speaker D: Wait, can, can we just canonize it? Also hanging up in a hallway, there's the. Mmm, raccoon.
[02:36:47] Speaker A: Yes, yes, sure.
And Ro leads them to the hallway and she just kind of does this. And like the lights light up in the hallway and you guys can see down the hallway that in.
On every single door there is someone's nameplate.
And you guys can actually go to my channel. And you can now see the beautiful map that Zach has created for the fun guys. Fantastical fortress of where your room is and where the different places are. And if everyone wants to see the room, then I Have descriptions for every single person's room as well.
Wow.
[02:37:33] Speaker B: For anyone trying to use Jackie's incredible tools she's provided, you can open the Lincoln Web if you need to see it in more detail.
[02:37:40] Speaker A: Yeah.
There's also a temple for anyone who would like to pray and she shows them the the different rooms like that. So we go into the temple.
Beside the bedrooms, there's small temple room where any member can go and pray or meditate.
The training room, which Ro lovingly calls the fencing room and gives a side eye to Boz when she says it.
There are crude weights. There are crude weights like heavy stones, sandbags and kettles for lifting, pull up bars and ropes for climbing. The floor is sand. There are wooden stone and metal targets hanging from chains from the ceiling for people to cast at and throw at, as well as dummies to throw and cast at. These things immediately regenerate upon being broken, obliterated or set fire upon. There is a fencing area, obviously sandbag dummies to practice grappling with. And lastly a constantly running stone waterfall in the corner of the room with wooden goblets next to it. For anyone who is training to get fresh cold water whenever needed, you will find the lavatories. On one side of the training room is a lavatory with multiple quote unquote toilets. Basically holes in the ground where any matter that falls through it is prestigitated away immediately. Think literal pissibis. That's what I have in my document.
Candles are in the room for smelling nice. The other side of the training room there is the sauna and bathing room. There are several private tubs and then an area with grates all over the floors, covering coals and buckets to pour hot water over the hot coals to create a steam room room. There are various candles and smelling oils to change the scent in the room. Lavender, mint, rosemary, cupcake, sage, bread and citrus.
If you go to the theater slash performing hall and by the way, Zach helped me with a lot of this. Like a lot of this was helped with the Zach.
It's a room with a small stage. The room has a slope down to the performers and stage.
The stage is wide enough to work visually for one performer, but big enough to do other things like multiple bard performances, a bull grock and eek performance, maybe a Craig Poetry Slam, etc. When no one is performing on the stage. Very crude, non detailed monochromatic green and purple visuals and silhouettes of vaguely familiar looking beings play out scenes on the stage of past events or battles. The Party has been through.
These scenes include the final battle with Dolgoth, the first battle with Dolgoth, the Festival of Petals, the underwater battle with the Kuo Toa priestess and company, and several others.
So those are all of the main rooms. And then I show you each your individual rooms.
[02:40:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:40:28] Speaker B: Guys, real quick.
Is Jackie incredible or what?
[02:40:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:40:32] Speaker D: This is so cool.
[02:40:33] Speaker B: She did all this.
[02:40:34] Speaker F: Amazing.
[02:40:34] Speaker D: That is insane.
[02:40:36] Speaker B: Really great.
[02:40:38] Speaker A: Thank you.
[02:40:40] Speaker C: What's the big room at the bottom?
[02:40:45] Speaker A: That is the.
That is the training room.
[02:40:51] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. Sorry.
[02:40:52] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:40:52] Speaker D: And where is this located again? I'm looking for it.
[02:40:56] Speaker A: Oh, it's in my. I'm sorry. I put it in my channel. It's a map of the place. So that's when you go down the hallway. Yeah, yeah.
[02:41:04] Speaker D: I have yours muted because I didn't want to, like, access any information.
[02:41:08] Speaker B: That's so. See also all Jackie's idea. She. She had the idea to do all this.
[02:41:14] Speaker D: Dude.
[02:41:15] Speaker B: She came to me with all this. This was all.
[02:41:17] Speaker A: But Zach worked on it with me one night and, like, mapped that out for me and, like, all that stuff.
So I guess if we go down the hallway, the. The first rooms that we go to, we have Boz and Craig across from each other. And so I'll start with Boz's room, if that's okay. Landon.
So. And Ro tells everyone when they start going to their room, she says if there's anything you don't like or anything that you would like added to your rooms, just tell me and next time I conjure the. This up, I can have it changed for you.
So Baz's room, when you open the door, there is a soft bed of luscious grass covering the floor, much like it looks when Ro casts plant growth to sleep with flowers.
But this is flowers from all the different continents we have visited covering the floor. This is festival of petals. Flowers, Lost land flowers, St. Alfred from that island that we went to, all to Boz's color scheme.
She modeled it to resemble his bedroom. She shot home in the lost lands, but not so much that it would make him sad or miss it.
A shelf for him to lay out all of his magical items and inspect them is there.
And then I put. Just kidding.
But you do have a shelf to lay anything you need to. Iridescent bees and creatures. She has seen Boz turtle turn into flutter as illusions around the room.
A mossy candle that looks like a tiny tree stump can be lit at the entrance of the room to initiate nature. Sounds and smells in the room. In the Far corner, there is a beehive built into the wall, which turns into like a little dimensional space with flowering plants in it where the bees can be released to fly around and happily. And along the edge, opposite wall, is beautiful lines of spider silk intricately intertwined. Like Rosal, the one and only time Boz cast this out to play. A small stool sits in front of it, waiting for Boz to sit down and play anytime.
If Bozo boy the root. Why did I say it like that? If Boz.
I was writing this like.
If Boz tries to connect to the soil or ground in this room, his roots will bind with those of the main mangrove tree in the grand room and their network of roots that are throughout the mansion.
[02:43:51] Speaker F: That's so cool. Thank you, Jackie.
[02:43:53] Speaker A: You're welcome. And like I said, if there's anything you guys want me to change, let me know.
So Craig's room, which sits across from Boz's.
When you walk into Craig's room, it is all stone, very home. Like for Craig.
There is a shelf that each time they go back into the mansion, it has various different looking rocks on it for Craig to sample and taste.
There is a soft bed, and the lighting is like that from Zedge, where it cuts through the stones and lines the luminite.
There is a place to put each of his swords and weapons while he rests. And a wooden mannequin that stands where he can place his armor on a mural of Catherine and Aaron smiling together hangs on the wall. And there is an easel in the corner with paper and sketching pencils and charcoal that is replenished regularly.
[02:44:55] Speaker C: Oh, cool.
[02:44:59] Speaker D: What size is the bed?
[02:45:01] Speaker A: It's a. What size do you want it?
[02:45:05] Speaker D: Do you want a big bed enough for Catherine?
[02:45:07] Speaker A: Okay, then it's a big bed. Yes.
[02:45:09] Speaker D: Okay.
[02:45:12] Speaker A: So we move on down to the hallway. And then we have.
We have Greta and Tello, I believe.
Yes. Greta and Tello's are.
If we go down one end of the hallway. She wanted their rooms to be next to each other or across from each other. So we'll go to Greta's room first.
When you enter Greta's room, there is mossy ground and foliage. The ceiling has a quote unquote skylight that always shows Twilo and Twila wherever they are.
There's a soft, soft bed close to the ground with the symbol of Ioun carved into the wood or into the wall above her bed. A shelf to stash her trinkets when she is there, and a hook on the wall to hang her Cloak of many things.
There are visions of beautiful flora and fauna around the walls and floor and ceiling and you can hear the sounds of bugs and birds.
There are two candles at the entrance of her room and Rose points out that one is a floral woodsy musk scent and the other is a lavender and reindeer scent. If the floral one is lit then the room has daytime fore escapes. And if the lavender one is lit, the room transitions to nighttime forescapes with sounds and smells included with both.
[02:46:30] Speaker C: Oh, that's so cool.
[02:46:33] Speaker A: And then we go to Tello's room and Roll would have Tello and Greta's rooms directly across from each other. He would also have something with Twilo and Twila on the ceilings to match Greta's. He has the matching skylight, a nice bed.
Very royal vibes are what we see. Kind of like what we found in the king's castle.
Ro thinks Tello would appreciate the fanciness.
He also has two lit candles in his room. One is a spice scent that when is lit up the room feels like daytime. And while a lavender candle lit makes it nighttime, there is a full floor to ceiling mirror in one corner and a large standing wardrobe with a small pedestal in front of the mirror for Tello to stand on. The standing wardrobe is filled to the brim with fancy outfits, robes and cloaks of different lavish fabrics such as silk. These outfits may change a bit each time. The mansion is summoned now.
[02:47:31] Speaker B: Amazed the whole time his room he just gets a little like giddy.
He waits till everyone comes in, looks at it, gets excited, moves on and then when everyone's left he opens up the wardrobe and starts putting on be like I do feel good.
[02:47:53] Speaker A: Further down that same hallway is Ro and Spaghuber's rooms across from each other.
Ro's room has the plant growth type bed covering the ground that she is used to sleeping on. She has a head to toe mirror hanging on the walls and the walls are covered with painted ivy and fireflies. Purple dim lights are in the ceiling and a wanted poster of the fun guys hangs on the wall.
Two ornate wooden carved loot stands to rest. Song splitter and soul mender on while she sleeps in the opposite wall of the bed. There are seven cubbies in the wall perfectly sized for each of rose necklaces. This was Zach's idea by the way. Inside the cubbies is a lit mirror.
[02:48:34] Speaker B: But I was muted.
[02:48:37] Speaker A: Inside the cubbies is a lit mirror to see the necklace's back. Each of the seven cubbies is a star surrounding the eyes of Ceylon on the wall, when all seven cubbies are filled, the eyes and her stars glow gold and purple.
We go to Spaghuber's room, which is royal blue and gold. Throughout the room he has a comfy bed, waves painted on the wall. A stand by his bed to lay his latest book he's reading. And a candle.
There is artwork of the poor, poor bet and a map of the Yalaban seas. A portrait of each of his fun guys also graces the walls. Two candles at the entrance of his room. One sea salt, if lit, gives him the sound and smells of the ocean engulfing the room.
If the sandalwood candle is lit, four sounds, vibes and smells fill the room.
[02:49:22] Speaker C: Wow.
[02:49:23] Speaker A: And then after that you have at the end of that hallway, there's the temple. And then if you go back the other way, you have Bilfrey and Ploth's room, which Ro figured these two are joined at the hip so they would appreciate having a room together. They each get a bed on opposite sides of the room with whatever kind of weights or workout ropes there were that would be in the middle of the room to share. Simple but cozy.
And then Nam's room would be across from theirs. And Nam's room has a high up hammock that hangs from the ceiling with a rope ladder going to it. A dartboard on one end of the room for her to practice her knife throwing. Dark and almost soundproof so she can be fully alone and get away from everyone else, especially Ro.
And then at the end of that hallway is the performance hall.
And that is pretty much everything in the interior of the mansion.
Ro also tells them that there is some staff on hand if you ever need any.
[02:50:35] Speaker C: Oh.
[02:50:38] Speaker D: Wow.
And yeah, that is incredible.
[02:50:44] Speaker A: And you guys are. You guys are welcome to read the. The document now that, that I've shared it with you guys. So it's in my channel. Y' all can read it. So you can go back to your rooms and see what's in there. Or if you ever want to change anything, just let me know. And Rose says this, this can be summoned and it's ours to, to use for 24 hours. And then obviously I just have to rest and recast it and I can cast it just about anywhere. And we're the only ones allowed in unless I allow someone in.
[02:51:12] Speaker B: Wow.
[02:51:13] Speaker A: Wow.
[02:51:14] Speaker D: Dude. I think it's so amazing that Jackie, like in person is a big gift giver. Like, I think you love giving gifts. And this feels like another outlet that you used that where you like, you basically gifted everybody Their like ideal room. Yeah Zone like to rest in.
And it felt like a big like gift to unwrap.
[02:51:37] Speaker A: It was fun. It was really fun to do.
The tree was Zach's idea as well. I had the idea of putting a tree and Zach.
Zach helped me run with it with his biological knowledge.
[02:51:51] Speaker B: Oh yeah.
Not only did Jackie make this entire thing from everyone because she wanted to for everyone, she also chose to make this rose new high level spell. That was Jackie that, I mean she gave it the whole spell slot just to do this.
[02:52:11] Speaker A: Oh.
[02:52:14] Speaker D: It'S amazing.
It is incredible.
[02:52:17] Speaker F: It's wonderful. Jackie, thank you so much.
[02:52:18] Speaker B: Much.
[02:52:19] Speaker A: Thank you guys.
[02:52:20] Speaker B: Well, as you take everyone through those spaces and this has been a very long session. We'll wrap it up here in a second. But as you take everyone through those spaces, Tell is very pleased. He's every. As everyone is amazed. He's the least amazed of all of the other NPCs because he spends so much time with you all.
[02:52:39] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:52:40] Speaker B: And he has seen so much of. I mean he's seen you all go from some real schmucks to some of the most powerful casters in the world.
He has seen your incredible potential and skill and bill free and plough.
There's a.
They crack a little and they're still serious and too cool for it all. But they like push each other a little. They laugh a little more than usual.
The 30 minutes of silence that is showing them everything in here gives way to them acting a little bit, just a little bit like the kids they never got to be. There's more joking and laughing and something about this home that got taken from them moves them back to the kids they never were.
You guys show everyone everything. Nam has nothing to do with to say but she just walks back to the center room and goes back to staring at the huge tree. She just stares at it in silence. She won't walk away from it. She just stares at it.
[02:53:51] Speaker A: And at some point and she looks at Nam and she says nom. And you can, you can order anything up and get food or beverages and it can can be on the table for you. Also you can, you can swim under there. Can you swim?
[02:54:10] Speaker B: She just looks at nods and goes.
[02:54:15] Speaker A: Thanks bro.
[02:54:17] Speaker B: Back to looking at the tree.
And as you're there talking to her, Goober just walks up and takes your hand in his and he just smiles at you and he goes.
I chose the Riot Adventures.
[02:54:34] Speaker D: Wow.
[02:54:37] Speaker B: And that is where we'll end episode 142 of the Accidental Adventure.
[02:54:47] Speaker C: Jackie.
[02:54:50] Speaker A: I'm So excited to finally share it with y' all.
[02:54:58] Speaker B: Okay. Awesome. Great session. We've done a ton of talking, listeners.
Sorry, there's so much to.
I Forgot I was DMing there for a little bit. In the best way, man. Jackie, I don't. Not that this is the point of anything, but I think you'd make a pretty incredible dm, dude.
[02:55:24] Speaker A: Thank you. Yeah.
[02:55:25] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:55:26] Speaker D: Let's see where we are.
[02:55:26] Speaker A: It was scary.
I didn't like talking for that much. Describing things.
[02:55:33] Speaker B: You're used to it.
You guys gain 0.02 levels for the episode, for the adventure.
[02:55:43] Speaker D: 0.2 levels.
I'm sorry, Go ahead. You're adding them up.
[02:55:47] Speaker B: You also gain another 0.01 for all of your relational work. And your haggling and item buying is a part of the adventuring process. That's part of the experience. You gain. And you gain another 0.02 for the roleplay and the relational connection and everything that the fungi's fantastical fortress represents. So 0.05 is the total for the.
[02:56:16] Speaker A: We are at 13.343.
[02:56:20] Speaker B: 13.343.
Listener. This has been an eternal episode, and everyone needs to get breaks. The second session is not an insane length.
Life is an incredible adventure. You are an important part of it, and.
Well, that's the final message. Life is an incredible adventure, and you're an important part of it. But I hope one day you have people sitting at your proverbial table as wonderful as the people who sit here with me.
And if. If you look around at your life and you have those people, please love them very much and tell them how wonderful they are to you.
If you don't make a table and invite people to it and be the. Be the person who.
Who makes a home, everybody can share.
We'll see you next time. Skibidi. Wabandada Skibidi.
