Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Welcome back to Braylee dd Oh, listener, this is your Sword of Dungeons and Dragons podcast.
And in honor of Micah, I'm your host, Zach, because you used to go. Used to go, welcome back. This is Micah. And then you'd always say, like, I'm your host or I'm your.
[00:00:14] Speaker B: Yeah, because I am.
[00:00:16] Speaker A: That's true. Yeah. So I'm Zach and I'm not your host. Micah is. But this is.
Guys, this is the big one now. Listener, this isn't the big one for you because we're splitting this up into parts, but it also is right now.
Myself, Daniel, Kara, Andrea, Micah, Abby, and Jackie are all sitting at a table, and Noah's in a shame corner.
[00:00:37] Speaker C: Shame corner.
[00:00:39] Speaker A: We are all.
We're all here to play the session, so it is time.
So if we keep taking pauses or crying or doing all sorts of silly things.
[00:00:50] Speaker D: Yeah, don't mind us.
[00:00:54] Speaker A: Oh, man, my voice is so gonna go.
[00:00:55] Speaker E: We're also in the same room.
[00:00:57] Speaker A: Yeah. We're all physically at a table.
[00:01:00] Speaker F: Table of three tables put together.
[00:01:02] Speaker C: I think the listeners should know that, like, we got here at 10:00am it's now, I think, like 12:00pm yeah. And we have, like, I packed an overnight bag. There's so much food in the house. The table is huge.
[00:01:14] Speaker B: We have a snack grabber.
[00:01:15] Speaker C: We have a snack. We have a dedicated person to go get snacks and anything we might need. But it's like, this is a huge.
[00:01:22] Speaker A: We have three tables put together and there's currently. There'll be pictures on the Patreon.
[00:01:26] Speaker C: So Jackie has been planning for months. Like, forever. Well, I mean, Zach's been many years,
[00:01:32] Speaker F: but, like, I've been like, Jackie doing the technical stuff for like a month or so.
[00:01:37] Speaker G: I've been dreading for years that there never would actually be a Zorgram fight.
[00:01:40] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:01:41] Speaker A: I mean, it was a question mark for forever.
And we're sitting in front of a six panel map of, like, a physical map we made and put together.
[00:01:49] Speaker G: Yeah, it's gorgeous.
[00:01:51] Speaker D: After 200, you should put sessions for us.
[00:01:55] Speaker H: Oh, my goodness.
[00:01:56] Speaker F: You should put this up on. You should. You should take the pieces and make it wall art.
[00:02:00] Speaker C: Vertical art, if you will.
[00:02:02] Speaker D: Put it on the ceiling.
[00:02:03] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:02:03] Speaker G: I think the ceiling is a little bit.
[00:02:06] Speaker E: One might say it'd be sick.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: Unfathomably sart.
[00:02:11] Speaker F: Anywho.
[00:02:13] Speaker A: So without further ado, we'll get into things. We're gonna start with our letter question.
Anybody remember the letter question? Oh, yes, yes, yes.
[00:02:21] Speaker C: What is your character's favorite thing about
[00:02:23] Speaker A: their home or homeland? If they don't. If. If one of them was an orphan.
Let's start with whoever wants to start.
[00:02:35] Speaker E: Daniel wants to start.
[00:02:36] Speaker D: Wait, what. What NPC are you doing?
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:02:39] Speaker A: Yes, he's the mmpc.
[00:02:40] Speaker C: You should do you again, Tello and.
[00:02:41] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:02:42] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:02:46] Speaker A: I like uo. I like uwu.
[00:02:48] Speaker G: I like.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: I like. Hello, kitten.
Hello, Puente.
[00:02:53] Speaker D: Should we just go around?
[00:02:55] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Seeing as how we have a physical table for once.
[00:02:59] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:02:59] Speaker A: Go get him, Durgle.
[00:03:00] Speaker E: All right. I think.
Let me make. Oh, okay. I. I've written down my homeland and I still don't know how to say it.
[00:03:10] Speaker A: Yaslan.
[00:03:11] Speaker E: No.
[00:03:11] Speaker A: Well, are you talking about the individual city?
[00:03:12] Speaker E: Oh, no, this is my birthday.
[00:03:13] Speaker H: Never mind.
[00:03:16] Speaker G: Favorite thing is that where I'll buy it, which is the circle I was born in.
[00:03:20] Speaker F: Wait, keep doing that.
[00:03:21] Speaker B: Keep doing that.
[00:03:23] Speaker E: Keep doing it, Keep doing it, Keep doing it. Anyway.
[00:03:26] Speaker A: Oh, my God, Zach.
[00:03:27] Speaker G: Eating almonds is very important.
[00:03:29] Speaker F: So many.
[00:03:29] Speaker E: Anyway, so my homeland, I think, I mean, his family would have been his most important part of the homeland. He defended it from Kef, not from the Kefkan empire. And so, like, I think he has lots of fond memories there. He also hasn't been there in like one hundred and something years.
So I think throughout the variations of his homeland, like, I think the sailing. His sailing homeland for a little bit when he was on the ocean and sea.
Oh, a paper.
[00:03:58] Speaker A: It's a map. It's a map.
[00:04:00] Speaker E: And so I think he would. I think in each of the places, it's the people he's met along the way. You know, like family at home and then his crew on the ocean and his new, I guess, extended family from the warriors of the. Well, so I think the people he has met and interacted with and even the fun guys, the people who have propelled him to go do things, I think those are his favorites. And I mean, there's. He loves food. I'm sure he loves fishing and killing animals and hunting and all that stuff,
[00:04:31] Speaker A: you know, not hunting, killing animals.
I mean, I kill a lot of animals.
[00:04:36] Speaker D: These.
[00:04:36] Speaker C: Rodgers.
[00:04:37] Speaker D: Just saying.
[00:04:38] Speaker A: That's true.
[00:04:39] Speaker F: Whoa.
[00:04:40] Speaker A: It's not a crack.
[00:04:41] Speaker E: An animal, one might say.
[00:04:43] Speaker A: No, no. We stigmatize them with the title monster, not beast. So it's fine.
Doesn't matter that it's conscious and can think and talk. That's not the point.
[00:04:52] Speaker E: Exactly. Anyway, that's mine.
[00:04:54] Speaker A: Over to you, Janice.
[00:04:59] Speaker D: Janice is from a really small island called Pykes.
[00:05:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Yes. You're from Pyxis.
[00:05:06] Speaker D: Yes. And wow. It's. It's part of V. No.
[00:05:10] Speaker A: Yeah, it's one of the Vashtan isles. Y. Dude, forgot about that.
[00:05:14] Speaker D: Yeah, and I think she just really enjoys that because her parents, like, basically like are retired there. Like her father has a job that's protecting the walls. That's kind of deep. It's a side story for later.
[00:05:27] Speaker E: Deep.
[00:05:27] Speaker A: Well, you could say.
[00:05:28] Speaker D: Yes.
But I like how like nonchalant they are. Like they just are there. They aren't looking for.
Yeah, they really enjoy their spot. And she's been to Vashton and then Alabon, obviously where we started. And those are just also really small. Well, Vashtan isn't because she went to the institute, but everything else has been really small around her and I think that's kind of the vibe that she feels. She doesn't need to be in the bustling city. Yeah, she's doing her own thing, so.
[00:05:56] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:05:56] Speaker D: Yeah, that's fine.
[00:05:58] Speaker B: Amen.
[00:05:59] Speaker G: Well, Shay be on the other end.
Really misses the vibrance of the capital city of Telethenom. Yeah, he hadn't been there for three years, even before the campaign started, and hasn't gotten there during the campaign.
And all of his living siblings have had to leave there for other reasons.
And yeah, he misses of course, the castle and such, but he also. He just misses a lot of like the markets and the different.
The huge library. And also there was gorgeous gardens on the grounds of the castle, which the
[00:06:39] Speaker A: fungi's have seen weirdly.
[00:06:41] Speaker G: Yeah, you'll feel them recently than me.
Definitely a post campaign thing to go back there, especially now the empire's no longer there.
[00:06:49] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:06:50] Speaker G: And yes, of course he misses them.
That's where his family was until he had to flee for somehow being alive.
[00:06:59] Speaker A: Yeah, I like it.
[00:07:01] Speaker B: Me too. Nickel, I'm gonna say, since Craig is from Shkonikov in Biasta and he lived in a big.
I. The way I feel like I like visualize it is in Minecraft whenever there's like the really deep, like.
[00:07:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I also.
[00:07:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it's not a bad visual.
[00:07:23] Speaker B: That's what I think.
And so I'd like to think because I'm looking at this and I'm kind of imagining it like kind of following that shape viewer. You don't know what I'm talking about. That's okay.
[00:07:33] Speaker F: Your fault.
[00:07:34] Speaker A: The people at home are loving this.
[00:07:35] Speaker E: People at home are loving it, man.
[00:07:36] Speaker B: So I like to think, you know, he worked in caves, like he was exiting a cave that he would work in there. There's a crystals all around the cave, and the sun would start to rise, and it would, like, light up the cave, and, like, there would be light coming through the gemstones. And I think that it would just be a moment that, like, breath felt like it was filling his lungs. Like, it felt like, Like.
[00:08:05] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:08:06] Speaker B: Refreshing and peaceful and brought him a sense of safety in distress. And I think that he really appreciated that.
Yeah, I think he loves that.
[00:08:17] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:08:20] Speaker C: I think that Greta's would be.
She grew up in a, like, traveling, like, group of kind of nomadic people, and they would just travel around this, like.
Like rolling hills and like, rolling grasslands.
And I think it's. It's probably just the. Like, the. The landscape and like, the shape of the land and the.
All the critters and all the. All the flora was such a big part of her daily life.
And she lived there and traveled there for probably, like.
Like, Like a hundred years or maybe more. So I think just that, like, if that feels like it's like a part of her.
So just, I guess, like, the. The beautiful landscape and just everything about, like, the earth and the land in that specific place.
[00:09:16] Speaker E: Heck, yeah.
[00:09:17] Speaker F: Oh, it's Trickle.
Ro is an orphan.
Get that out of the way.
[00:09:25] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:09:25] Speaker A: Time to move on.
[00:09:27] Speaker B: That's it.
[00:09:29] Speaker A: Okay, good. Excellent.
[00:09:32] Speaker F: I'm gonna.
I'm gonna zap through these real quick because she's called a lot of places home. And so she. She has, like, a favorite thing of each place. In Zedge, in Yasban, where she's from, she loves the cupcakes, and she loved the sanctuary in the orphanage where she grew up. And in Vashton, she loved, like, the libraries and stuff to go and, like, look at things. And when she was learning how to speak giant. And in Unsen, she loved the honey bread when she lived there. And in home cove, she called the opalescent home home.
And then her most recent home, the poor bet, she loved once all the flowers were all over the boat because she felt like she could sleep anywhere there, and it was home.
And that was kind of her first home that was like her own with people. And then now in Parsage. I think her favorite part about that home, besides the people that she shares it with, is the reflecting pond way, way down.
[00:10:38] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness.
[00:10:39] Speaker F: In the. In the caves.
[00:10:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:42] Speaker F: And so all of these little things she, like, holds with her, like, the smells of the honey bread and the clover and like, just. Yeah. The sea air and home Cove, stuff like that.
[00:10:54] Speaker B: That was beautiful.
[00:10:55] Speaker C: Thanks.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: I also have a question for you.
[00:10:57] Speaker F: For me?
[00:10:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Your hair Is in your earbud?
[00:11:03] Speaker D: No, they're green.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: No, I know.
[00:11:05] Speaker F: There's a little bit of hair in my head.
[00:11:06] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:11:07] Speaker F: I was like, but they are green.
[00:11:08] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:11:09] Speaker F: By the way, my hair's green again, you guys.
[00:11:12] Speaker A: As if Michael was just over there being like.
Like she couldn't perceive the earbud, and she's just like, it's green.
[00:11:18] Speaker B: I saw the earbud. I was like, is there hair coming out of her ear? And then I was like, surprise.
[00:11:25] Speaker G: Even the inner ones used like. Like that. That help you hear.
[00:11:28] Speaker F: I have in ears that are green so that it blends.
[00:11:31] Speaker A: That was beautiful. Jackie, you have so much hair in your ear.
It's packed in there like a solid map.
[00:11:37] Speaker D: But can we go back to that now?
[00:11:41] Speaker B: The orphanage, the answer was incredible, by the way.
[00:11:44] Speaker E: Defeated those methods.
[00:11:45] Speaker A: No, a whole.
[00:11:46] Speaker G: That.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: That's a whole different place.
[00:11:48] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:11:48] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:11:50] Speaker D: Crazy. Hello, you egg.
[00:11:52] Speaker A: Yes.
For ueg.
For ueg. On the edge of his. On his Vashtan isle, much further north, closer to Vashtan, there was an area port to the side where it was just exposed rocks.
Is there a jingling metal.
[00:12:09] Speaker C: I also hear that.
[00:12:10] Speaker G: Dan.
[00:12:11] Speaker C: Daniel.
[00:12:13] Speaker B: I thought it was the dogs.
[00:12:15] Speaker F: No, the dog. He doesn't have a collar.
[00:12:17] Speaker A: Are you just sitting there jingling all your metal dice together, did you say?
[00:12:21] Speaker C: No. SP.
[00:12:22] Speaker E: Anyway, it's a spongebob reference. Yet another day spongebob is referenced and not Phineas and Ferb. Just letting you that. Know for Anna when she listens to this.
[00:12:30] Speaker C: Whoa.
[00:12:31] Speaker D: I feel.
[00:12:31] Speaker G: I feel personally get them in here sometime. Don't worry, we have plenty of time.
[00:12:36] Speaker E: I'm just saying spongebob is always referencing.
[00:12:38] Speaker A: So there's this area at the edge of the aisle where the.
[00:12:43] Speaker F: Uegg.
[00:12:43] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:12:44] Speaker A: Yeah, Uegg. Where the. The stone is exposed by the. By the docks and. And the seaweed would, like, gather there.
No, it was actually kelp. Yeah, the kelp would gather there against the stones. And it is just a chaotic, loud area. But UEG found it a very peaceful place to meditate. And it reminded him of aspects of Eldath that a lot of people don't necessarily associate with her peace. That like wildness and power. Cause she's also goddess of nature. And he just loved meditating there. And it's not that. It's not deeper than that for him, but it's one of those memories where it's like, well, it's just early and it's just foundational, and it's just a lot for him.
And he really loved that Spot to
[00:13:21] Speaker C: meditate in, like a very noisy place. I feel like says something about someone to go there and to have peace and quiet is to go to a noisy place to reflect says something about someone.
[00:13:33] Speaker G: I feel like you egg someone with a lot of inner quiet.
[00:13:37] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:13:37] Speaker G: And it's loud, but that's nature loud.
[00:13:41] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly.
And then for Tello.
For Tello,
[00:13:50] Speaker G: my. More of my experience with Mike is having my guitar through it, not my voice.
[00:13:55] Speaker A: My experience with Micah's.
Micah with Tello, I think it would
[00:13:59] Speaker G: be, I just met Micah in person, but we're now buddy besties.
[00:14:04] Speaker A: I think it would be from the boss show. From the warm wood. I think it would be fall. There is just a whole other animal.
And those trees are. Many of the trees are evergreen, but some of them are not.
And so I think he just has memories of walking through there as a boy. Where, like, it's cold everywhere, but it's warm there.
And there's plenty of green still above, but some of the trees are changing. And so the forest floor has been covered in that leaf litter. And then some of them are just falling through, like trailing rays of light coming through the trees. And I think he just has really good memories being there with his family back when he had a whole one before. Before his mom got sick and before the family, you know, before his sister left, when everyone was there. I think he has some fond memories of just walking through there as the family sick.
[00:14:50] Speaker B: Good soup.
[00:14:52] Speaker D: Good soup.
[00:14:52] Speaker A: No pun intended.
[00:14:54] Speaker D: Anywho, I'm sorry I didn't.
[00:14:57] Speaker A: It's okay.
Without. I'm gonna leave without further ado.
[00:15:02] Speaker E: I get it.
[00:15:03] Speaker A: Note taking nerds.
[00:15:07] Speaker E: She wasn't ready.
[00:15:08] Speaker F: She had to do it.
[00:15:09] Speaker A: If she had been ready, it wouldn't have been right.
This is the way for the note taking nerds.
For the legend of new ones. This is adventure 256.
And for the accidental adventures, this is episode 183.
No, I can't be wrong.
[00:15:32] Speaker H: Don't.
[00:15:33] Speaker F: You're right. You're right.
[00:15:34] Speaker D: Crazy.
[00:15:35] Speaker A: I got my back tensed when you made that face. I was like, no, I can't be wrong. I've written it 17 places.
[00:15:40] Speaker C: You said 183.
[00:15:42] Speaker A: Yes, 183.
[00:15:44] Speaker D: That's a highway.
[00:15:45] Speaker A: The hate King.
[00:15:51] Speaker F: Copyright.
[00:15:51] Speaker A: Copyright. We only have a couple. We only have a second.
[00:15:53] Speaker F: So Basically we have 15, I think.
[00:15:56] Speaker G: Oh my guys. I started riding the highway.
[00:16:00] Speaker A: I'm the highwayman.
[00:16:02] Speaker G: Zorga. The highway king.
I'm the highway man.
[00:16:07] Speaker A: Take toe.
[00:16:08] Speaker E: Someone write that down for.
[00:16:09] Speaker C: Write that down.
[00:16:10] Speaker E: Write that down.
[00:16:10] Speaker A: Write that down.
[00:16:10] Speaker E: Write that down.
[00:16:13] Speaker A: Oh my goodness.
[00:16:13] Speaker G: Zorgrim is like. He's like, you can't drive on this road until you answer my riddles.
[00:16:19] Speaker D: I don't know if it's apparent, but we are stalling.
[00:16:22] Speaker A: Zorgram lands on the map and he goes, have you guys seen cars?
How are any.
[00:16:28] Speaker F: Zorgrim is actually just lightning McQueen.
[00:16:30] Speaker A: It is a.
[00:16:32] Speaker D: It's like two people.
[00:16:34] Speaker A: Every time he shoots something out of his hand.
Okay, on Zorgrim, on the end of wrong room's training, he's going to use three legendary actions for Kachow.
[00:16:43] Speaker B: You're blinded by the lights.
[00:16:47] Speaker G: Bonus action. Rev my engines.
[00:16:50] Speaker A: This is a level 17 and level 20 adventure.
The date is 3488 PB, CBCall the 25th.
[00:16:56] Speaker B: I'm sorry, can you say that slower?
[00:16:58] Speaker A: Yes. 3488, post birth CB, call the 25th.
[00:17:05] Speaker F: Eight days to Rose birthday. Nine days to Janice's birthday.
[00:17:09] Speaker D: You know what's crazy is we've actually been through a full year because I remember celebrating Janice's birthday. So like you. Yeah.
[00:17:16] Speaker A: I mean, in canon we say it's been five years for you guys, but.
[00:17:19] Speaker D: No, totally.
[00:17:20] Speaker A: But I mean, yeah, we actually. But we managed it.
[00:17:22] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:17:22] Speaker A: Yeah, we finally got there.
[00:17:24] Speaker D: Crazy.
[00:17:24] Speaker G: I know. It's si.
[00:17:25] Speaker C: I'm certain about that.
[00:17:26] Speaker A: Yes. S, I apostrophe. B, I, C, K, A L, L. Wait, what?
[00:17:32] Speaker G: No.
[00:17:32] Speaker F: There's no way you know how to spell CV call. We've been in this month for 25 days.
[00:17:38] Speaker A: She's getting roasted. It's the I am positive.
Like a big pen.
[00:17:44] Speaker F: It was the first month. Month I learned how to spell because I made it my birthday.
[00:17:47] Speaker G: I. I seriously don't feel like there was a ck at this word.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Hey, it's okay. I think you changed it.
[00:17:53] Speaker D: Jackie knew Janice's birthday before Karen.
[00:17:55] Speaker A: In my defense, the. The posted and printed calendar has been in everyone's homebrew channel forever. A couple years. But it's there as reference if you want.
[00:18:05] Speaker F: Let's go.
[00:18:06] Speaker G: Okay.
[00:18:07] Speaker F: Janice's birthday on here.
[00:18:08] Speaker D: Jackie has a physical copy of.
[00:18:10] Speaker A: We've postponed long enough.
[00:18:11] Speaker D: No, I think we could go longer.
[00:18:13] Speaker B: So where's the. Where's the boy?
Where's the boy?
[00:18:18] Speaker D: He's not coming out until we get there because we're.
[00:18:21] Speaker G: We're flying.
[00:18:21] Speaker A: I'm going to. I'm going to start the session.
[00:18:23] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:18:23] Speaker G: Hit him in a closet.
[00:18:25] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:18:26] Speaker C: It's Pride month. Let him out.
[00:18:29] Speaker A: I'm going to start the session now.
[00:18:34] Speaker E: We already started. Zach. That's why you did the letter question.
[00:18:38] Speaker A: Jackie, why are all of the tracks grayed out? All the audio tracks? They're not showing up.
[00:18:43] Speaker G: Why is Source full of hate when he should be full of pride?
[00:18:47] Speaker A: Well, we'll never know until Daniel stops talking.
[00:18:49] Speaker F: I can hear it.
[00:18:52] Speaker A: We can. I'm wrong and crazy.
[00:18:55] Speaker F: That button. It's the fader on the far right. Yeah, that one.
[00:18:58] Speaker G: Technical difficulties.
[00:19:00] Speaker D: Turn it up.
[00:19:00] Speaker E: You're welcome back for stalling. And now everyone can go watch a cool anime fight.
[00:19:04] Speaker A: It's gonna be great.
I have no idea what you're saying. What are you saying?
[00:19:09] Speaker D: That's. Okay.
[00:19:09] Speaker A: Where to start?
[00:19:10] Speaker D: Where we said yes.
[00:19:13] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, if we.
[00:19:13] Speaker D: With me waking up.
[00:19:14] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:19:15] Speaker A: Well, I lied, so I'm gonna begin running. That's gonna happen.
[00:19:22] Speaker D: Oh, okay.
[00:19:23] Speaker A: So now I'm gonna start the session.
It is dark.
And in the darkness, there's a great nothing.
And the nothing is more than what you see.
It is what you can feel.
It is a lack, an absence.
All around.
Yep, all around are dark veils, not of object, but of distance.
Horizons that are filled with absence.
And so light just fails in every farthest direction.
And up above, there is a sourceless, soft crimson, a central light that must be connected to something.
But wherever one would move, it would remain in the same central, fixed position in the sky.
And this place, it continues on and on and on.
But to travel anywhere in it is to feel. You have gone nowhere.
And around your feet is a heavy, thick warmth.
[00:20:45] Speaker H: The
[00:20:48] Speaker A: dense fluid of iron and the overwhelming scent of blood hangs in the air everywhere.
And you can see this.
And in the middle, the middle of your vision, the blood is centrally disquieted. It perturbed until.
Beginning to rise, bubbling more and more and more, as if struggling to raise onto itself. Until it raises higher and higher and higher. And once it reaches a height of about an adult person, difficult to.
There's no other physical object of reference.
And as more of it falls off of the sides, there is left the vague silhouette of a central figure, humanoid in some way. And it continues to melt at its edges until fully replaced by the blood is a humanoid, a dragonborn, with
[00:22:02] Speaker H: severe
[00:22:02] Speaker A: horns that raise up off of the skull and where the sharp teeth even almost seem to pierce down through the jaw and make horns that come out.
And blood is continually pouring out of the cracks, the many cracks in this figure.
Their scales are not red.
They're not even black as a black dragon worn. They are pure obsidian.
[00:22:24] Speaker H: The teeth are obsidian, the eyes are obsidian.
[00:22:27] Speaker A: And the Individual is highly fractured and blood pours out.
He turns,
[00:22:35] Speaker H: he says, I've tried to speak to you.
I've tried to make this clear.
You come now with such haste, with so much certainty.
Come.
I won't stop you.
I invited you.
I invited you in.
I gave you the opportunity
[00:23:26] Speaker A: to be a part of.
[00:23:28] Speaker H: Of breaking this, all of this.
But you chose.
That's what matters.
You chose.
You chose this.
You are all symptoms of a disease.
You are a cancer, sir.
It's all broken.
And some of you are dressed.
Born into the circumstance of comfort, into resource and power and favor.
And so to abide and in this perennial sickness, to live in. The wound is suitable to you.
[00:24:27] Speaker A: And the figure has been kind of looking somewhere else and looks at you.
[00:24:34] Speaker H: And the obsidian eyes lick with flame.
Deep red flame.
Blood pours from the eyes.
He continues. And he says, says, because it wasn't yours.
It wasn't your back broken under the wheel.
It wasn't your child starved from the resources they would never have.
It wasn't you who died a meaningless death next to your ally.
You were the one who survived the wreck.
You are the one chosen by your God, not forgotten.
Without an explanation.
You think you're fighting for something, and you are.
You're fighting for the tiny little scrap of reality that you live in and for the sake of the apathy that you dress up in wedding veils of courage.
Billions will live and die in the squalor of your apathy.
I'm here and I'm close.
And soon we will all be free.
I gave you your chances.
I tried to speak to you.
I brought you back from death.
And still you choose.
So be it.
Come to me.
[00:26:53] Speaker F: And
[00:26:56] Speaker B: time.
[00:27:05] Speaker A: And Janice, you start awake.
[00:27:13] Speaker D: Was that just like a.
I mean, that was in physical reality like.
Or was it in a dream?
[00:27:22] Speaker A: The world all around you is dimly swirling and moving.
A little bit of sweat is precipitated on your forehead.
[00:27:29] Speaker D: Yeah, that would have stressed me out.
[00:27:31] Speaker A: And a swirling mass of moving shade rapidly whistles by beyond the translucent barrier. All around on the immense saddle that you're riding with all of your allies in this final moment. Actually, I'm switch back to my other song. I think I'm going to keep that down.
[00:27:46] Speaker D: Yeah. I have something to do.
[00:27:49] Speaker A: All around you, your companions sleep. But you notice all of them look disquieted in their various ways. It's not the same for everyone, but a bit of sweat is beaded on Rongrim's bow and he's tense as he sleeps. Javian Shifts uncomfortably. And you watch a slight bit of blood gather at the bottom of his nose.
And each of your allies seems to twist uncomfortably at the similar moment.
[00:28:15] Speaker B: Craig grinds his teeth.
[00:28:17] Speaker A: And Craig's over there going.
[00:28:20] Speaker H: And
[00:28:22] Speaker A: you were aware that you were all dreaming.
[00:28:25] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:28:26] Speaker A: And as they each begin stirring, all of them all.
[00:28:29] Speaker D: I have to do something before.
[00:28:30] Speaker A: Oh, okay. And you do something right before they wake.
[00:28:32] Speaker D: Thank you.
[00:28:33] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:28:34] Speaker D: Is it possible for me to just place things in, like, people's pockets and stuff like that? Maybe not pocket, but, like, bags and stuff. Is that possible?
[00:28:44] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:28:45] Speaker D: Okay, so you guys get to pick out a color. Wait, what?
[00:28:55] Speaker A: What is it?
[00:28:59] Speaker G: Kara is pulling from her bag. Little
[00:29:04] Speaker F: start.
[00:29:04] Speaker A: Hey. I don't know how, but I unlocked the back of this chair.
[00:29:07] Speaker D: Colors.
[00:29:08] Speaker A: If somebody does it lock, there should
[00:29:10] Speaker F: be a lock somewhere. It may be under you.
[00:29:12] Speaker A: I'll be fine.
[00:29:13] Speaker E: I'll figure it out.
[00:29:14] Speaker D: What colors do you guys want?
[00:29:16] Speaker G: I. I'd like somewhere in the blue.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: Is there orange?
[00:29:18] Speaker D: Could I have the purple? There is an orange, but I just have to trade it out.
[00:29:21] Speaker B: That's true. That's. No, it's fine. No.
[00:29:24] Speaker G: Can I have this one?
[00:29:25] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:29:25] Speaker F: Purple.
[00:29:25] Speaker D: There is a purple in my bag. Oh, I'll take purple it out.
[00:29:29] Speaker E: Is that not.
[00:29:30] Speaker D: Actually just take these right now, and then I'll trade it out later. Perfect.
[00:29:37] Speaker C: There's something.
[00:29:38] Speaker G: Yeah, this is crocheted. Not what's inside and inside of the bag.
[00:29:44] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
[00:29:45] Speaker G: It's a little. It's a rock.
[00:29:49] Speaker B: Rock.
[00:29:50] Speaker C: You know me so well.
[00:29:51] Speaker A: Oh, it's a rock.
[00:29:53] Speaker D: So Janice has been.
[00:29:56] Speaker A: Oh, it's engraved.
[00:30:01] Speaker D: Janice would have made this a message stone over the times. This is just for flavor. We don't need it. It's not gonna be in the battle. But the letter that she has in there says, if we survive, use this stone whenever the road grows long and you wish for an old friend's voice. If I do not keep it as proof. Once that once, against impossible odds, we stood together. Remember me when you must laugh about me when you can. And above all else, keep the torch lit for the maker. Some journeys end, but the light goes on.
[00:30:37] Speaker G: Sorry.
[00:30:40] Speaker A: That's beautiful.
[00:30:43] Speaker D: So anyways, the stone has, like, a maker symbol on the top. And then the year that we played this. So.
[00:30:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:53] Speaker A: How did you do this?
[00:30:54] Speaker D: Oh, I had somebody on Etsy do it really sharp.
Thank you to the guy on Etsy with the sword.
[00:31:02] Speaker A: On Janice's minifigure, we can trade bags and stuff.
[00:31:05] Speaker D: I have some other ones.
[00:31:06] Speaker A: So we'll work on that later Kara inspiration.
So at some point when you had a watch or something, you slipped all those into people's bags.
[00:31:15] Speaker F: Totally.
[00:31:16] Speaker D: Just quietly doesn't have to be noticed by people.
[00:31:19] Speaker A: That was wonderful.
[00:31:19] Speaker E: Care.
[00:31:19] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:31:21] Speaker A: And so shortly after you awake Janice. So do you know, one by one each of your compatriots, but in short order, not far apart from each other, everyone's startled together at similar moments.
[00:31:33] Speaker D: I feel like I would have made sure Jaan was okay since there was. I think I would have woken him up.
[00:31:38] Speaker A: And right about the time that you're getting to him is when he wakes himself up. And as you all awake underneath you, I mean, it's just the swirling dark of the storm all around. And occasionally there's a somewhere in the distance. But you all can hear, I mean, it's pretty loud.
From Yanna Zangalida's massive wings. And you all can hear faintly all around all the constant wing beats of all the other dragons, though you can't see them.
And on the edges of the translucent barrier, all around you there are streaks of frost, freezing and breaking off from the speed of the wind. And you can vaguely see the massive platinum form of Yana, barely visible through the darkness, rising and falling at the fore and hind ends of the saddle. But otherwise you guys are waking up.
[00:32:32] Speaker B: I just want to say it's really funny that me and Andrea are sitting next to each other when we are playing characters that aren't our actual genders.
[00:32:42] Speaker A: That's true. The two gender Ben characters at the same time.
[00:32:45] Speaker E: It was all playing.
[00:32:46] Speaker A: It really was a perfectly arranged table.
[00:32:48] Speaker D: Yeah, it is nice.
[00:32:49] Speaker A: Jack.
[00:32:50] Speaker D: Jackie killed it.
[00:32:50] Speaker G: So. Yeah, to be very explicit, we all had that dream.
[00:32:54] Speaker F: Yes. Yeah.
[00:32:55] Speaker A: Every. As each of you wake up and all of you find you jump that drink.
[00:32:59] Speaker F: And this is. It's. It's. It's after our long rest. So after like last, you all are very long rested.
[00:33:05] Speaker A: Very long rest.
[00:33:06] Speaker F: Wonderful.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: Everyone has all their hit points and all their abilities. I can't stress that enough.
[00:33:10] Speaker B: We have D4, right?
[00:33:12] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:33:12] Speaker F: Do we have our per deal?
[00:33:13] Speaker A: I found the switch that lowers the chair.
I'm gonna fix it.
Everyone has their per diem.
[00:33:20] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:33:23] Speaker G: I think Xavian waking up right by Janice. To be fair, he would not assume everyone had that dream because this is not his first Zorgom dream.
[00:33:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:33:32] Speaker G: And also he had a dream of the place he went when he died. And he knows Dorsevena's soul stuck there now, so that's not fun.
And he just starts like, he, like, he like, frankly, like wipes the blood off his toes.
[00:33:43] Speaker F: Just like.
[00:33:44] Speaker G: Stop bleeding. Stop bleeding. Stop bleeding.
[00:33:46] Speaker B: Wow, that's so sad.
[00:33:47] Speaker D: I would have tried to help. I think just because it actually.
[00:33:52] Speaker G: It is crying.
[00:33:54] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:33:56] Speaker D: Shavan, did you.
[00:33:59] Speaker G: No, not you two.
[00:34:01] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:34:03] Speaker G: How did even I thought with the makery couldn't get to us. Oh well.
[00:34:07] Speaker D: Cuz the veil broke.
[00:34:10] Speaker A: Jamie, you're coming to all your allies are waking up.
[00:34:14] Speaker G: That was the place when he's gonna kind of fall into you.
[00:34:22] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:34:24] Speaker A: Uegg wakes up and looks startled for a second. But he crawls on all fours toward you. And for a second you're right, he's weak. But then he should be in Ueg. And he sits down next to Xaving. Because you all have that you can walk here. I mean it's an unsteady. Like you have to balance yourselves, but you can. But he comes and sits next to Javion and he puts a hand on your shoulder. He doesn't say he knows there's nothing to say, but he's with you.
[00:34:49] Speaker D: Did you guys.
[00:34:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:34:51] Speaker F: Yeah. That was the place.
[00:34:54] Speaker D: That's sorghum. Okay.
[00:34:55] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:34:57] Speaker G: That's his realm.
[00:35:02] Speaker E: Understand what we fight against.
[00:35:05] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:35:06] Speaker F: Yes.
[00:35:07] Speaker C: Is that. Is that like what he wants to make everything like.
[00:35:13] Speaker D: Yes. He was explaining. I mean almost everything that happened to Jay Fian.
[00:35:19] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:35:20] Speaker A: You're. You're well aware that you all know and Javen, you know well enough.
[00:35:24] Speaker G: Yes.
[00:35:24] Speaker A: He doesn't want to make anything.
[00:35:26] Speaker D: No.
[00:35:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:35:27] Speaker G: Just wants to destroy.
[00:35:28] Speaker A: So not that route.
[00:35:29] Speaker C: He.
[00:35:29] Speaker A: That realm destroyed to him destroyed. Everything gone. So that there can just be an opportunity for clean slate.
[00:35:36] Speaker G: And I'm sure the new world created will be completely equitable.
[00:35:40] Speaker E: Hey.
[00:35:42] Speaker A: This is his gambit. This is his plan.
He's gonna be dead. Who knows how he feels about. You can ask him soon.
[00:35:48] Speaker F: Oh my gosh. Hey. Excuse me.
[00:35:50] Speaker A: I feel like.
Talk to me about what you're thinking.
[00:35:54] Speaker G: I think what I've had is many political and. And philosophical. I don't think I'm getting through to him.
[00:36:01] Speaker D: How do you feel about the captains?
[00:36:05] Speaker B: I. I also want to state that I sent a picture of us all together to Luke and he zoomed in to Daniel and screenshot it and said. Is this Craig?
[00:36:15] Speaker D: So funny.
[00:36:16] Speaker A: What does that mean?
[00:36:17] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:36:18] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:36:19] Speaker E: I take as a couple.
[00:36:20] Speaker A: Your husband's weird. And I like it.
[00:36:22] Speaker B: Anyways.
Dying and stuff.
[00:36:28] Speaker E: I. I think Ron Graham takes this moment as everyone's finding words.
And he puts his hand on Javeen's shoulder. He's not gonna get in the way of it because there are two other people right by you, so he's not gonna be, like, forcing himself in.
[00:36:40] Speaker G: Be like, oh, Xavian's not, like, a personal space person. It's okay.
[00:36:43] Speaker E: Yeah, I think Rodman maybe is a little bit.
[00:36:45] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:36:46] Speaker G: I just say keep.
[00:36:47] Speaker A: I'm supporting you as much as I
[00:36:48] Speaker E: can right now, but.
[00:36:49] Speaker G: I know, but Robbie's like, I'm not part of group hug.
[00:36:53] Speaker E: Yeah.
I think he looks around. He's just like, the dance that we shared the other night.
I believe that that is what we fight for.
And I think we just saw another thing where we fight for a world that is not that.
That's what he says.
[00:37:21] Speaker A: Tello gives a stern nod. And, like, he. He, like, slept in his armor, and we're not gonna worry about the mechanical effects of that, but he just gets up, and he just, like. He just starts stretching. He's taking it seriously, and he knows that, like. Like, he's starting to do, like, deep lunges to each side, and, like, he's, like, checking his crossbow and starting to load it. He's just getting very serious.
[00:37:41] Speaker H: Missing Grim.
[00:37:42] Speaker D: Is there a way we can see how far we have gone?
[00:37:46] Speaker A: All around you is dark. Endless Blackstone.
[00:37:49] Speaker D: What about Keen mind?
[00:37:52] Speaker A: You are aware that it is dark.
Late afternoon.
[00:37:58] Speaker C: Okay, so we're in a storm.
[00:38:00] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:38:01] Speaker A: Yeah, the storm. You're flying. It's the storm all over the world. You're flying through.
[00:38:05] Speaker F: Is there, like, an eye of the storm where we're going or.
[00:38:08] Speaker D: No greenhouse gases anywhere else?
[00:38:10] Speaker G: The eyes. The island we were just on, as in being protected?
[00:38:13] Speaker D: Well, yeah.
[00:38:13] Speaker C: Greta is just sitting probably next to Tello or Ro, and she's just, like, tracing light on her fingers.
She's just once again, like, she knows that, like, if she dies, they might not bring her back.
So she's just, like, almost kind of warming up. Like, how Tello is, like, warming up her muscles, but, like, warming up.
[00:38:37] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:38:37] Speaker C: Like, she can feel the magic flowing through her body, and she can feel, like, the warmth on her fingers, and she's just, like.
Like, almost, like, tuning her reflexes but also just enjoying the feel of the magic in her body.
[00:38:52] Speaker A: Almost kind of the way, like, a musician, like. Like a drummer would warm up with rudiments and like a guitarist would warm up with scales. You're, like. You're running your rudiments and, like.
[00:39:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:39:02] Speaker A: Feeling that.
[00:39:03] Speaker H: Yeah.
[00:39:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Just appreciating that. The warmth of the magic.
[00:39:07] Speaker F: Ro is, I would say, rose. Like, she's, like, Prestidigitating and mending things like that anyone needs, like, any tears and any armor, like, you know, like, little things and, like, cleaning anything that anyone needs. And like, as she's doing that, because she can do those things, like, while she playing, she's. She is doing that, like, warming up her fingers.
[00:39:30] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:39:32] Speaker F: And. And just kind of like, you can hear like, little echoes of the old song, like, through it, just like, kind of echoing off.
[00:39:42] Speaker D: She's.
[00:39:43] Speaker F: She's playing Soul Mender. So you're hearing, like this, like, weird. Like, it's quiet because she can hold on to the volume of it, but, like, it's just like little reverberations going throughout the tiny hut.
[00:40:02] Speaker A: As the assembled defenders wake from your shared premonition of ruin and prepare for the coming onslaught, you all are free to exchange any final moments you have or contemplate any explicit strategies you'd like to take to prepare yourself.
[00:40:17] Speaker C: This is the time that Greta would cast eight. Correct.
[00:40:21] Speaker A: Yes. Also explicitly, this is your long prep time. Okay, so. And also, if you, like, any interactions with each other, this would be a good time. But. But, like, yes, if you have any. If you have any of your prep stuff, this is.
[00:40:36] Speaker G: Javian turns to his friends.
[00:40:38] Speaker E: He says,
[00:40:42] Speaker G: you can't let that. That's.
That's where. That's where Sabina is.
We can't let anyone else be there.
And I think he just kind of, at least to start, he kind of like goes just like, numbly starts casting, and it takes him a minute to cast foresight on himself.
And then after that, what does it
[00:41:07] Speaker A: look like as you cast foresight on yourself for this penultimate time time?
[00:41:09] Speaker G: Xavier foresight, since he learned it from Falgen.
[00:41:16] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:41:16] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness.
[00:41:17] Speaker G: Rest in peace.
[00:41:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:18] Speaker G: Falcon, who has now passed it looks. It is a spell casting that looks a bit more wizard like than a lot of his casting in that he doesn't have tools, but he magically creates a glowing line of a complex. So circle on the ground and then, like, pulls the magic into it, like, kind of goes into his forehead and expands his perception.
And recently there's almost a dread in casting the spell because the state of being ultra hyper aware under foresight is great for battle, but it also, like, is an extra level of sensory overload. But he knows he needs it.
He does not want to be caught without it.
[00:42:11] Speaker E: I think in response to the foresight and remembering everything in a like, I think Ron Grimm, who's seeing this cast kind of just like, has had his shoulders, like, relaxed for Most of the time. And I think his. His rage now is just like his shoulders come up and like come and hunch over himself and it looks like he's like almost. If someone was shorter than him, he would be almost looking like he would be like lording over them or something like that. And as his shoulders kind of hunch up, the spirits come out and he kind of looks at Xavian and he comes over and he says, I'm glad that's not the place. Place you went when we were in the Bitterblands last time.
[00:43:00] Speaker G: No, that is.
That's. I didn't stay there. That's my dream.
[00:43:07] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:43:07] Speaker H: Right.
[00:43:08] Speaker E: You're not there now. You have not been utterly consumed.
I'm sure there is a fear there.
[00:43:18] Speaker G: I.
I mean, I.
Maybe this bachelor's always been inevitable, but.
I don't even know.
But we have to win.
We have to.
[00:43:37] Speaker D: There's no other way.
[00:43:41] Speaker E: When I.
When there were new ship crews, new mates who had been seasoned for years before they got onto my crew, they always felt this way too. This sort of feeling of nerves and anxiety, as some of the young ones called it.
I always reminded them how long they been doing it.
I go to the first blunder they've ever felt.
Showed them that it didn't cost them their life. Maybe an arm, but not their life.
He smiles knowingly at Xavian and he continues though. And he says, in the short amount of time I've been with you, we faced two white dragons. One bearing a magical hammer. Ax.
[00:44:39] Speaker A: No, it was a big. Yeah, it was a dragon with an axe.
[00:44:41] Speaker E: Yeah, axe.
One casting magic.
We fought the acolytes, the apocalypse.
We destroyed two Krakens, Obsidian dragons.
[00:44:56] Speaker H: I don't think that was with wrong.
[00:44:57] Speaker E: I think he's listing stuff you have told me. The exploits of the Obsidian Dragons.
We defeated the resurrected body of what sounded like a clearly terrible white dragon of long ago.
We killed generals.
We took down the Kefkan Empire.
We defeated a demigod.
I'm not sure of many things, especially with all the stuff we've been through in the past few months.
[00:45:34] Speaker A: Has it been a year? It's been like a year.
[00:45:36] Speaker E: A year for the past year.
But I know this.
You are strong.
You are not going to give in to that despair.
Nor are you going to let it kill, consume the world.
Even if this is the last raking we do in our lives, it will be all for something for those in the future.
Not so that they can be reborn in death like our vision, but so they may live and Live to the fullest.
[00:46:21] Speaker D: I put my hand on Ron Grimm's back, just.
[00:46:25] Speaker F: And
[00:46:28] Speaker G: definitely one of the people so glad to have on my side.
It's.
It's.
I'm just. I'm just glad you're here.
And if Rom Greens allow it, I will hug him.
[00:46:45] Speaker E: Yeah. I mean, he will. Yeah. He, He, He. Like, it almost feels a little.
[00:46:49] Speaker G: I feel like it's one where, like, Xavian was kneeling for the spell. And so, like, he's, like, kneeling in the hug.
[00:46:54] Speaker A: He's at the right height.
[00:46:55] Speaker E: Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Maybe he hasn't really ever been able
[00:46:58] Speaker A: to have a real hug like this
[00:46:59] Speaker E: from Xavian because it hasn't kneeled a lot.
[00:47:01] Speaker A: And it's so funny with Rungen because you're not at his height until you kneel down. But then once you're at his height, he's so wide. Like, it's just so much muscle inside. So it's so weird.
[00:47:10] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:47:12] Speaker E: Yeah. And so as he, like, brings you
[00:47:14] Speaker G: in, Jake reminded him a strike score, don't break my shoulders.
[00:47:19] Speaker A: And actually, as a note, and I want. I want you to tell you, take it away, Daniel. But when you hug Raghun, who's always been strong, who's always been solid, it's weird. Now it's starting to feel like hugging a statue.
And you realize that after his last bout with the. Well, a man who was already about as strong as a person naturally gets and magically strong for it has become supernaturally strong. Like, you can feel that as he touches you, that, like, he's having to, like, consider how tightly to squeeze as you realize you're hugging someone with the strength that your ally has gone beyond what a mortal can possess in terms of strength.
[00:47:58] Speaker E: Yeah, very much so.
[00:48:00] Speaker D: He's, like, walking around.
[00:48:01] Speaker E: Yeah. His arms can't go down to his side.
He does embrace the hug for a while, and I think, like, he holds it and he, like, whispers into.
I don't think he can really whisper anything, but he tries. You know, he goes, not as loud
[00:48:18] Speaker A: as Rondrim is the way kids whisper.
[00:48:20] Speaker E: Yeah.
And he says, everyone hears. I never had a brother, Xavian,
[00:48:27] Speaker B: but
[00:48:28] Speaker E: I would have been proud to have you.
Let's go.
[00:48:38] Speaker G: He's a brother, too.
[00:48:42] Speaker A: As you let go of the hug and you pull back, you all have that moment. You've summoned your spirits and they've gathered around you. And when you hug Javian, they hug Xavian and Javian, you can feel again, not as physically as person, but you. There's like a. The presence now. The spirits Ever since the. Well, they're, like, more present. You can see them in a little more detail now. They're not like, there, but, like. Like from wrongdim's Dance. They're more visible. They're. They're. You can sense them more as they hug you. You can feel them all around. And when they step back, Vrongrim's remnant on his back, like all those gold Damascus like grooves, they flare for a second.
And as the gold flares, a fourth spirit draws with light off of remnant. There were always three. And a fourth raises.
And behind Rongrim casting light is an indistinct spirit, a brilliant gold, difficult to depict, but beautiful in color and hue. And it's not blinding. It is bright, but not overwhelming to look at.
It doesn't actually cast that much light. Just looking directly at it is luminous, and its edges are gold. But when you look at its center, there's like, a shift of colors that's kind of like opalescent and rainbow, like.
And Greta and Craig, you both immediately recognize it as the silhouette and color of the indistinct spirit you all saw in the fire and shish, this tower that knit the flesh back onto her body bones and raised her back to life.
And a fourth spirit stands with wrong now.
[00:50:20] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
[00:50:22] Speaker A: I'd like you to take inspiration.
Ram there is now permanently with you.
[00:50:32] Speaker B: That's really good.
[00:50:34] Speaker E: Am I going to, like, tacitly know it, or do I need to wait for the.
[00:50:37] Speaker A: Well, no. As you stepped back like, you.
[00:50:39] Speaker E: But, like, do I know, like.
[00:50:41] Speaker A: Well, a fourth spirit just appeared.
[00:50:45] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:50:45] Speaker A: And you just saw it. You interacting with that in any way. You don't have to just. It's suddenly there for you, too.
[00:50:51] Speaker E: There's a portion of me that's like. It'll probably tell me in a second. I just had this really cool moment with David. I don't want to take too much time away from it, but I think he noticed it. I think. I think of all the people, he would have been like, yeah, just super taken aback.
[00:51:06] Speaker A: And the other three spirits also go like.
They're like, whoa, there's a fourth guy.
[00:51:11] Speaker C: That's funny.
I think I. I think I would, like, kind of do a little bow to it. Like, just a short little. Yeah. Honoring.
[00:51:23] Speaker E: Could I insight check that?
[00:51:27] Speaker A: I don't think you need the check, man.
[00:51:30] Speaker E: I see Greta bowing, and I'm like, that's fine.
Yeah. I think as a final parting in this moment, I think Ron Grimm would again do the kind of, like, arm or forearm grafting. Forearm kind of thing and give knowing nods and just, like, looks around, and he's like, I'm gonna. I'm gonna figure out what the spirit is now.
[00:52:05] Speaker A: Rungum, as you let that go, shake,
[00:52:07] Speaker G: and you're like, oh, okay, I see the spirit. I'm just like, it's gold. It's definitely good.
Yeah, I can't deal with that right now.
It's not. It's not a spirit of shadow.
[00:52:18] Speaker C: It's not red. It's obsidian.
[00:52:20] Speaker A: No blood's coming out.
[00:52:23] Speaker G: Yeah. Wrong.
[00:52:23] Speaker A: Grim. As you turn toward it, spirit looks to you. No clear face, but that silhouette.
And it moves close to you and puts its hand on your shoulder. And you feel no weight, but you feel the warmth.
And it simply says,
[00:52:41] Speaker H: my remnant remembered
[00:52:44] Speaker A: not for your strength,
[00:52:47] Speaker H: but for my heart.
[00:52:49] Speaker A: And, well, and actually, it continues and it says, I am with you.
And you understand implicitly, this spirit's not going anywhere. There is a fourth spirit now, always, when raging.
And the spirit simply looks at you all as it says the I am with you. It starts that phrase looking at Rangrim, and he turns and looks at you all. And this wave of light spreads by you all.
And the blessing of the maker is shared before the battle. And I need you all to take some notes.
[00:53:29] Speaker G: So can Daniel now cast divine intervention?
[00:53:34] Speaker A: No.
[00:53:36] Speaker G: Or I guess this is plenty strong.
[00:53:39] Speaker D: Me and Zach talked about it at one point during our. Our campaign.
Very early on, I was able to pick up divine intervention for some reason. And I talked to.
[00:53:50] Speaker A: We were testing it out or something.
[00:53:51] Speaker D: Yeah, I talked to Zach last night. I was like, should I take that off? And he was like, yes, I forgot
[00:53:57] Speaker A: about it, like, four years ago.
[00:53:59] Speaker D: And I was like, yeah, I was. Every spell casting class, we were doing
[00:54:03] Speaker A: some crazy stuff back then.
[00:54:04] Speaker G: I've definitely tried to be like, well, I should get it to, too. Right?
[00:54:09] Speaker A: We fixed it by taking it away from everybody, but.
[00:54:12] Speaker D: Except for you.
[00:54:13] Speaker G: So melee characters, we didn't give it to non clerics. It was always a running joke to give it to non clerics.
[00:54:19] Speaker E: So the.
[00:54:20] Speaker A: Everything I'm saying here is, for the next 24 hours, for the next 24 hours, you all have the blessing of the maker.
[00:54:28] Speaker E: Everyone else was doing the noise.
[00:54:29] Speaker G: I know. I was just.
[00:54:30] Speaker A: I didn't expect you to be making that face when I looked over melee characters.
[00:54:34] Speaker C: Not me.
[00:54:36] Speaker A: Whenever you all roll damage, you all can roll one extra damage die.
Like an extra die of your weapon as radiant damage for the next 24 hours.
[00:54:46] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:54:47] Speaker A: So when you roll the hit, you will roll an extra damage Die as radiant damage.
[00:54:51] Speaker E: Hell yeah.
[00:54:53] Speaker A: Hell yeah.
[00:54:56] Speaker F: Wait, what if one of us.
[00:54:57] Speaker C: Yeah. What if I do inflict wounds? I will.
[00:54:59] Speaker G: Yeah.
Yes.
[00:55:01] Speaker F: Does this work if I'm in Polymorph or something?
[00:55:04] Speaker C: That's actually a good question.
[00:55:05] Speaker A: Okay, if you want to make a melee attack, there is an extra. Okay, an extra damage.
Extra damage. Damage.
[00:55:14] Speaker B: So that would be because I have two D6 for one attack. It would be three D6.
[00:55:18] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:55:19] Speaker A: And if you were. If you were doing your ranged attack, you'd just add on another D6.
[00:55:23] Speaker B: This is amazing.
[00:55:24] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:55:25] Speaker C: Wait, so the. The same.
[00:55:27] Speaker A: Any weapon attack. Any weapon attack. It's an extra damage die for every attack, right? I said the D6 is because.
[00:55:31] Speaker F: Yeah.
[00:55:32] Speaker E: All right. I'm just making sure. I didn't know if it was. No, no.
[00:55:34] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah.
[00:55:34] Speaker D: No, that's.
[00:55:35] Speaker A: That's a super important question. Not one attack per turn. Every time you roll an attack, if you hit, there's an extra damage die.
[00:55:41] Speaker G: Wait, so is this all melee attacks? All weapon attacks are all attacks.
[00:55:44] Speaker A: So to clarify. Yeah, let's say. Let's say we've got Dinga Durangle over here, right? And Ron Grimmons are Slingish lorring. He's gonna roll Dan and Dur. He's gonna roll three attacks. If he hits on two of those attacks, both of those attacks will have one extra damage die. That's radiant damage because he did it with a weapon.
Any weapon attack.
[00:56:03] Speaker G: Okay. Weapon attack.
[00:56:04] Speaker A: Any weapon. Yes, I said melee character. Any weapon attack.
All right, everyone can add a plus one to a saving throw. Every saving throw is plus one.
[00:56:18] Speaker E: Plus one to all saves.
[00:56:19] Speaker A: All saves.
[00:56:19] Speaker G: Okay, Zach just categories by giving Zorgrim plus one to all of his.
[00:56:25] Speaker A: No, don't. It's all right. Don't worry about it. You need it.
[00:56:29] Speaker F: Zach said last night. Wait, we need a buff him more.
[00:56:32] Speaker A: No, no, we've been. This has been in the works for a couple years.
And then lastly, the four lowest hit point characters, which is who I have this recorded.
[00:56:45] Speaker E: Hold on.
[00:56:45] Speaker C: Sorry.
It's tello me.
[00:56:48] Speaker A: I have it. Don't worry, I have this all written out.
[00:56:52] Speaker G: She's low 237.
[00:56:56] Speaker A: Okay, guys, I have 156.
[00:56:59] Speaker G: Me and Abby, I have 212 before the spells that are on.
[00:57:03] Speaker E: I have more than double your hit points.
[00:57:05] Speaker F: Rowing Greta together is not even all of Ronger Rongren fit bonus punch both of us. And we would die.
[00:57:12] Speaker G: Also about my HP is I have the annual health that's raised my con to 19, which is very nice.
[00:57:19] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, that's it.
[00:57:20] Speaker G: Pick your poison. Two of my.
Two of my attunement slots are just. Are just bust my base stats, and then one is, of course, my armor.
[00:57:29] Speaker D: What happens to your four lows?
[00:57:31] Speaker F: Hold on.
[00:57:31] Speaker E: Let me. Let me go to my. They lose all of their hit points.
[00:57:35] Speaker F: They die.
[00:57:37] Speaker A: I need to go to.
[00:57:38] Speaker D: It was nice playing with you guys.
[00:57:39] Speaker G: The maker said actually, like, it's not even worth it. Like, I'm gonna save you the trouble. He said, I have a nice go.
[00:57:48] Speaker D: No, the maker said, I thought we sent the strongest soldiers.
[00:57:56] Speaker E: I have to take you out.
[00:57:59] Speaker G: You are representing me, God's weakest warriors. And out.
[00:58:05] Speaker A: That was funny, Andrea.
Okay, so our four. Where did I make my note about this?
So that means that Greta, Tello Ro.
[00:58:18] Speaker F: It's all of our people.
[00:58:19] Speaker A: And Craig.
Fun guys. Fun guys are our four lowest.
Your hit point maximum for the next 24 hours, your hit point maximum is. Is increased by 35.
[00:58:33] Speaker D: What?
[00:58:34] Speaker H: Whoa.
[00:58:34] Speaker D: That's crazy, girl.
[00:58:38] Speaker A: Wait, I'm over 200.
[00:58:40] Speaker G: And so that's on top of the aid and the heroes fees.
[00:58:43] Speaker A: The hit point maximum has increased by 35 for the next 25.
[00:58:46] Speaker G: Maker.
[00:58:46] Speaker C: I will never be this strong again.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: That is true.
That is true. You're not wrong.
[00:58:55] Speaker C: I'm at 179. It tells at 160. Scenery.
[00:58:58] Speaker A: I mean, you might be if you're a little twin cleric someday probably. That's so great.
[00:59:06] Speaker F: All right, I'm at 206.
[00:59:08] Speaker G: Let's go.
Welcome to 200 Club. After.
[00:59:11] Speaker A: After distributing that power, the spirit simply, like, it dims slightly and then flickers next to the other spirits around. Wrongdem. And it is there. That spirit is with you.
I didn't want to. I mean, you guys can interact with that in some way. You're also welcome to have your own roleplay moments.
It's fine if there aren't a ton of others or if there's any other long term prep stuff anyone has anything to do.
[00:59:31] Speaker E: It's fine.
[00:59:32] Speaker G: If it's all fine, I don't want to do more role playing. I just want to say Javian's definitely comforted by the appearance of the spirit.
[00:59:37] Speaker A: Where the spirit flickers. Javian, it is next to Raghav and the other spirits, but it's also next to you. And in the presence of the spirit, as the spirit gets closer, your left hand glows brighter.
[00:59:47] Speaker G: Oh. Just reminder to everyone, my left hand is just Opal.
[00:59:51] Speaker H: Yes.
[00:59:51] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:59:52] Speaker A: Javen's left hand. So he wears. He has his gauntlet armor. And is this hand gloved? The Right hand?
[00:59:58] Speaker G: It's my left hand.
[00:59:59] Speaker D: No, no.
[01:00:00] Speaker A: Is the right hand gloved with your armor? Is it? Is it?
[01:00:02] Speaker G: I don't think my hands are gloved with my armor.
[01:00:04] Speaker A: Well, so his right hand is pale human hand. His left, his left arm is. Is opal. It is flexible hard stone.
[01:00:11] Speaker G: Wow. Yeah, he was obsidian for a while.
[01:00:15] Speaker D: Do we need to announce what spells we?
[01:00:18] Speaker A: I would appreciate if there are any long term caps happening, I would like to know what they are.
[01:00:22] Speaker D: I'm gonna do gumbertimps.
[01:00:24] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:00:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:00:25] Speaker A: Okay. So Janice does this thing.
Janice walks over to the edge of the barrier and you have to steady yourself and you can like. Like the barriers have like.
[01:00:34] Speaker D: I don't want the candles to hold on.
[01:00:36] Speaker A: Right, yeah. And so Janice walks over to the edge and whispers something and then just stands there for a bit.
[01:00:42] Speaker G: Javion knows what's happening and kind of like looks like if he needs to like run over and catch her.
[01:00:47] Speaker A: So you're like nearby and you guys are kind of watching and she's just standing there and none of the. It's. It's crazy because the wind outside is just.
But none of yalls hair or anything is moving. She's just standing there and in her brilliant mantled white robes with the gold trims, she's just standing there at the edge waiting. And then finally suddenly all of these rocks, like shotgun shot just come flying over the edge and through the barrier and begin pounding onto her robe and like creating this stone armor all around her. And the really cool part is where they used to press into your clothes and hold your armor on your mantle. They all just land and hold in position maintaining the shape of your robes as if your robes are so magical.
The spell like conforms to the shape of the robe.
[01:01:33] Speaker D: That's cool.
[01:01:34] Speaker A: And they all just land there. And it's interesting because all the rock you pick up is like reflective of this far landscape below. Also as the rocks are flying. You heard one.
It's like one of them hit a dragon. You know, not dealing a lot of damage right now. Dragon was like ow somewhere.
[01:01:51] Speaker B: No.
[01:01:52] Speaker D: And then real quick so that I can move on to other people. UEG is gonna cast aid twice at a third level so it distribute around the party. We're going to get the whole party.
[01:02:02] Speaker C: So yeah, everyone has aid.
[01:02:04] Speaker D: I. Yeah, I won't announce where UEG
[01:02:05] Speaker A: is quietly praying and then also he's
[01:02:07] Speaker D: going to cast death ward on Greg. So take a minute.
[01:02:11] Speaker A: But Greg, you are death warded. Y death ward is the once, right?
[01:02:15] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:02:16] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:02:16] Speaker A: Excellent.
And aid increases your hit point max by.
We already did that, and it's all been done. We're just announcing. Beautiful. I love it.
[01:02:24] Speaker B: I'm preparing at the right time, at the appropriate time. That gives me the max amount of
[01:02:29] Speaker C: time of it I'm doing.
[01:02:30] Speaker A: Remember, we're gonna have another short preparation.
[01:02:32] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:02:33] Speaker C: It's gonna happen.
[01:02:35] Speaker D: Yeah.
These things last eight hours, so that's
[01:02:38] Speaker A: why we're doing our long preps now.
[01:02:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:02:40] Speaker E: So anything that it's hour or less. Next one.
[01:02:43] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:02:43] Speaker E: Okay. All my stuff will be next. Other than.
[01:02:45] Speaker A: Understood.
[01:02:46] Speaker D: Perfect.
[01:02:46] Speaker A: Early pop. I gotta pee.
[01:02:48] Speaker B: I think bottle talent. I could do bottle talent because that's 24 hours.
[01:02:51] Speaker G: Yeah, that's. Yeah.
[01:02:53] Speaker B: Yeah. I'll just chuck one deck.
[01:02:55] Speaker C: Greg, you're looking glowy.
[01:02:57] Speaker F: Wait, Rose.
[01:02:58] Speaker B: Thanks.
[01:03:00] Speaker C: Greta's gonna go over to Tello, and she's. She's gonna.
Is. Is he sitting down?
[01:03:07] Speaker H: Yes.
[01:03:08] Speaker A: Yeah. He's finished his stretches, and he's just. Actually, it's interesting watching Tello. He's always. I mean, long has he over. Has he gotten over his. Like, I'm out of place. I don't belong here. This is so scary. But where some of you all have your clear clips. Like, he gets ready, and then he just kind of waits. And he's typically more adaptive in this moment. He's just sitting and focusing very quietly. He doesn't look.
No one here looks like, yeah, no big deal. We got this. But he just looks in the zone, and he's just quietly sitting there waiting and thinking, and his eyes are open, but he's just watching everyone centering himself quietly.
[01:03:42] Speaker C: Yeah, she's gonna go over and she's gonna, like, take his hand and, like, sandwich it in her hand, and she's gonna cast death ward on him.
And she's just gonna. She's like, this is the end.
[01:04:01] Speaker A: He squeezes your hand not too hard.
He's much younger, and his hand is much bigger. And it's worth saying how much bigger his hands are than yours. But he clasps both of yours with his. Putting his crossbow down, and he says,
[01:04:13] Speaker H: I'm glad it's with you.
[01:04:15] Speaker C: Yeah, I hope it doesn't end. But it's nice to know that if it ends, it does really end. You know what I mean?
I don't know.
[01:04:23] Speaker H: The moons will always come back together.
[01:04:25] Speaker C: I hope so. I hope so.
[01:04:28] Speaker A: He just lets go of your hands, puts your face in the other part of his, and he just goes, I
[01:04:31] Speaker H: love you very much, Greta.
[01:04:33] Speaker C: I love you, Tello.
[01:04:34] Speaker A: And he hugs you and just.
It's a long hug. He just hugs you for like two or three minutes.
[01:04:40] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:04:40] Speaker E: Squeeze.
[01:04:41] Speaker C: She's like, I have to go. I have to death watch.
[01:04:44] Speaker H: I don't care.
[01:04:45] Speaker A: And then at some point when he sits you down, he goes.
[01:04:51] Speaker G: And
[01:04:53] Speaker A: the I love you he said in insignian. He didn't say it in common.
[01:04:57] Speaker C: He says it back in insignian.
[01:04:58] Speaker A: And then after that tender moment, he just zeroes in again and he goes back to staring over the edge. And he's like, you find him watching over the darkness with his crossbow, just staring.
[01:05:08] Speaker C: She gives him a little pat and she goes over to jbn and she.
She's like, she's like crying a little bit and she's like, hi.
And I think death ward is touch, but she's.
Yeah, it is touched. So she's gonna like, kind of like go like this, like touch. JV, are you standing or sitting or.
[01:05:36] Speaker G: Honestly, JV's maybe journaling at this. JV's maybe journaling at this point. That is definitely a way he handles his emotions.
[01:05:45] Speaker C: Yeah.
Yeah.
[01:05:48] Speaker G: Actually, if it's not too.
I think Japion's actually writing a letter right now.
[01:05:54] Speaker F: We're passing notes.
[01:05:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
Well, she comes up and she sees that and she's like, this is for you. And she touches his shoulder and casts Death ward. And
[01:06:09] Speaker A: my players are throwing notes back and forth across the table.
[01:06:13] Speaker G: The table's so big. I think I'm at least familiar enough with magic to feel it come over me, to understand.
[01:06:19] Speaker A: UX casted over you before.
[01:06:20] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:06:21] Speaker E: Just a little shiver.
[01:06:23] Speaker A: And returning to your moment of role play you're having with Andrew and I
[01:06:28] Speaker C: cast death Word.
[01:06:29] Speaker A: I feel like I'm at school again.
[01:06:30] Speaker D: Sorry.
[01:06:31] Speaker H: It's fine.
[01:06:32] Speaker G: Thank you.
[01:06:33] Speaker H: Yeah.
[01:06:34] Speaker A: As you look at Jaden, there are these small constellations of fractaling shapes rotating around that circlet he has on his head.
[01:06:41] Speaker C: Yeah. And she's like, okay. And there's wings and the head is oval. And Greta is very old and she's not starstruck very often, but she is like, there's a lot going on here. Yeah, that's very cool.
[01:06:53] Speaker G: He's a very shiny boy.
[01:06:54] Speaker C: Yeah, very shiny. And she's like, good luck and thank you.
[01:06:59] Speaker G: You too.
[01:07:01] Speaker C: So sad, she said.
[01:07:02] Speaker A: So shiny.
[01:07:03] Speaker H: So hot.
[01:07:04] Speaker C: So sad. So shiny.
[01:07:06] Speaker D: So I can't live on a wrote
[01:07:08] Speaker A: down my own quote, but I'm writing my own quote.
[01:07:11] Speaker G: It's like I have to survive because the world can't lose this face.
[01:07:14] Speaker A: Oh, my D inspiration. What do I say?
[01:07:19] Speaker G: And that's pretty exciting.
[01:07:24] Speaker F: When Ro sees that Greta has death warded people, I think she's gonna go up to Craig and Greta, and if it's all right with you, Micah, I'm gonna say that, like, Craig and Ro talked about a little bit, but it was like, I go up to.
And I go, we.
Greta, we've almost lost you so many times.
[01:07:49] Speaker C: I know this is my.
[01:07:52] Speaker F: We can't lose you again. And she puts her hand on Greta and death wards. Greta, I feel like.
[01:07:59] Speaker C: I feel like with Tello, she, like, did a really good job keeping it together, but she just, like.
She just, like, breaks, like, just gives Ro a big hug and just, like. Like, just sobs a little bit. I, like, hold and just, like, buries her face in her.
[01:08:13] Speaker F: Both of yours and Craig's hands. And Tello, if he's. If he's there, and I'm just like, I. I know. I know we. I know we joke about, like, the whole, like, orphan thing a lot, but
[01:08:29] Speaker A: Tello's focused at the edge of the saddle.
[01:08:31] Speaker E: He goes.
[01:08:32] Speaker A: Then he goes back to was.
[01:08:34] Speaker E: Who's an orphan?
[01:08:38] Speaker A: Rose is getting inspiration.
That was the excellent.
[01:08:45] Speaker F: But you guys really are, like, the best family I could have found.
I don't know if it's. If you guys are, like, brothers and sisters or.
I think we're kind of all of it sometimes. Sometimes.
[01:09:00] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:09:00] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[01:09:01] Speaker F: Sometimes I feel like I'm the mom. Sometimes Greta's the mom when Craig's tying me up on the ship.
[01:09:07] Speaker B: But
[01:09:11] Speaker F: I don't want to lose any of you guys today, so just stay vigilant and help each other.
I don't want to lose anyone. And she looks at all of y' all like, everyone's doing stuff, but she's like, I. Yeah.
I'm just really proud to be with all of you.
[01:09:36] Speaker D: Yeah, we're gonna figure this one out.
[01:09:39] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:09:40] Speaker B: Craig is gonna put, like, his hand and, like, kind of clasp Greta's shoulder and Rose shoulder, and he's gonna kind of every word and syllable. He says he's gonna, like, kind of put a little shake into it. He's going to go, we are coming out of this alive together.
And then he's going to look.
[01:09:59] Speaker H: Yeah.
[01:10:00] Speaker F: Ro also, like, quietly death wards herself. And she does it by, like, she plays, like, a little bit of, like, the chaos mage, and then she just does the saloon symbol on her face, and it, like, it almost, like, lights up on her face and then drops, and she's death warden.
[01:10:20] Speaker D: Does everybody want to, I don't know, like, maybe make Last minute plans for this.
Yeah, he's gonna be big. And he has a breath weapon. You know, like, he'll burn us. So maybe we should figure out where we're gonna try to be just so that we can still protect everybody. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:10:42] Speaker G: I just.
I recently figured out a spell that I think we can use to have two spaces to move between that'll make it there will be, I believe, the word's portal. Janus.
[01:11:01] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:11:02] Speaker G: Between two locations where you can move back and forth.
[01:11:05] Speaker F: So kind of like a dimension door, but like stays open. Yeah.
[01:11:09] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:11:09] Speaker D: Okay. And maybe that would be the vocabulary.
[01:11:11] Speaker E: You all understand this? Yes.
[01:11:12] Speaker A: I don't want to interrupt your flow
[01:11:14] Speaker H: or your moment shaving. I believe it's puddle.
[01:11:17] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:11:17] Speaker G: Yeah, but you jump into a puddle.
[01:11:20] Speaker D: Ue's right.
[01:11:21] Speaker C: It's a vertical, like j.
[01:11:23] Speaker G: Like does kind of like a stage whisper. Ue just go along with it.
[01:11:27] Speaker A: Ue's nearby over Jen's shoulder, still looking confident.
[01:11:31] Speaker F: Understood.
[01:11:32] Speaker G: And you hop in one puddle and then you appear in the other other puddle.
[01:11:35] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:11:35] Speaker G: And I could put them, I think, fairly far away.
[01:11:40] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:11:41] Speaker H: That's why they call them puddles.
[01:11:43] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:11:44] Speaker A: I've never gotten that before.
[01:11:46] Speaker B: Good job.
[01:11:46] Speaker H: I get it.
[01:11:47] Speaker D: This is the best time to learn.
[01:11:49] Speaker G: Oh. As they say in the Academy of Magic, I kind of need to.
[01:11:52] Speaker H: I'm gonna go back to praying.
[01:11:53] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:11:53] Speaker H: Need to be a little more quiet.
[01:11:55] Speaker A: Do you think you could you get.
[01:11:56] Speaker E: Can you shove a trebuchet through it?
[01:11:59] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:11:59] Speaker E: That's a good question.
[01:12:00] Speaker G: I've not cast.
[01:12:02] Speaker F: Where do you guys. There's no. I don't see a trebuchet up there.
[01:12:06] Speaker D: Well, I'll make it.
[01:12:07] Speaker A: Well, I mean, Genesis is a magic surveyor of trebuchet.
[01:12:11] Speaker C: Like, so.
[01:12:11] Speaker G: That's right.
[01:12:12] Speaker F: I forgot.
[01:12:15] Speaker D: I just create the trebuchet on the back of the dragon.
[01:12:19] Speaker A: Yana is doggedly focusing, but you watch. You watch her massive dragon head. Kind of like don't look back and
[01:12:24] Speaker G: go back to flying seat. Weaponry has been used in our battles before.
[01:12:28] Speaker E: Multiple, multiple. And it's always been good.
[01:12:31] Speaker C: On the d. On the D1 hundreds and the D10s. 10s, which is the highest number?
[01:12:37] Speaker A: Okay. So I've heard it called different ways. On the D10, the 0 is the highest number. That's 10.
[01:12:41] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:12:42] Speaker A: On the D100, I've heard rule different ways. The way I do it is if
[01:12:48] Speaker E: you have all three zeros, though, that's the only way it's high. Everything else is low.
[01:12:51] Speaker A: Okay. So I've heard some people say three. If you have again. I've heard some people say if you have all three zeros, that's 100.
[01:12:59] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:12:59] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:13:00] Speaker A: The way I've always done it is if you roll a 90 and a zero, that's 100. Because 90 plus 10 is 100.
And the double zeros paired with a number on the D10 make like if it's double zero and five. Yeah, that's five and a double zero and a nine. That's nine and a double zero and a seven. That's seven.
[01:13:18] Speaker G: Okay.
So you rolled zero to 99 rather than one to 100.
[01:13:23] Speaker H: Yes.
[01:13:23] Speaker C: So we do. So 90 is the highest.
[01:13:26] Speaker A: That's 99. Do it. Yeah.
[01:13:28] Speaker C: So I'm just. Thank you for.
[01:13:29] Speaker A: So if you rolled double zero in a, in a zero, I would count that as rolling a 10.
[01:13:33] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:13:34] Speaker G: Which would let you use divine intervention.
[01:13:36] Speaker A: Yes. My way of doing it does technically maximize the possible chances of rolling a divine intervention by one more.
[01:13:41] Speaker D: I love it.
[01:13:42] Speaker C: I just want to be lucky.
[01:13:43] Speaker G: Oh, I see.
[01:13:44] Speaker E: Like, I mean it's just like this is supposed to be the 10 spot and this is the one spot. And the only time that it's different is when it's. I get it, the three zeros.
[01:13:52] Speaker C: Just trying to be maximum lucky. Thank you guys.
[01:13:54] Speaker D: I'm going to go over to the other dice. I feel like every single one.
[01:13:59] Speaker A: It's funny cuz it's true. All of Jackie's 30 dice in her tray are all on their highest value.
[01:14:04] Speaker D: Every single one on the dragon. I feel like there we've kind of like been one party and the other. So I think Janice is going to come and join you guys.
[01:14:13] Speaker H: We're all in this together.
[01:14:15] Speaker D: What?
[01:14:21] Speaker E: That was wrong.
[01:14:22] Speaker A: Not Daniel.
[01:14:25] Speaker D: And so I think I'm just going to like huddle in with you guys while we're talking about it. And like, I don't know.
[01:14:31] Speaker F: Yeah. I think I would like try to like move around to form like more of a circle instead of like two groups.
[01:14:36] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. While we're discussing this, which we've discussed ad nauseam.
[01:14:40] Speaker A: Yes. The players know.
[01:14:43] Speaker F: I, I recently, I mean, while we're talking about things we've recently learned, I, I think I may be able to. Like at the beginning as Ro is
[01:14:54] Speaker A: talking, there is a couple sounds back and forth. No.
And they're far, but they're like low rumbling wars.
[01:15:08] Speaker B: It's just Craig's stomach.
[01:15:09] Speaker D: Don't worry.
[01:15:09] Speaker A: And you can hear that the dragons are communicating with each other.
[01:15:13] Speaker D: The maker has diarrhea.
[01:15:16] Speaker G: It's coming from the spirit.
[01:15:19] Speaker A: That's only funny because I.
I run this.
[01:15:23] Speaker G: And I have.
[01:15:25] Speaker A: All right, take your inspiration.
[01:15:27] Speaker D: I already got it.
Wait, can I have you?
[01:15:30] Speaker B: I made the foundation to her joke.
[01:15:32] Speaker G: I made the foundation to her joke.
[01:15:34] Speaker A: As you all hear the roaring, whatever it is, Ro that is getting ready to say, as you all are prepping, there is constantly all around you a endless din of beating wings. But some of the wings get louder and closer, and this massive copper dragon dips down from the storm. And it's crazy because you know there are dragons all around, but you can. You can't see them, you can hear them. And one of them emerges from the darkness, getting close enough to you all having to very carefully bank the flying to stay above. And Ro, you recognize from the horn alignment on the face, Vilek. And as he's flying above, his large draconic voice says, we are getting close.
[01:16:15] Speaker H: Prepare yourselves.
[01:16:16] Speaker A: And then he dips back into the dark clouds, and you all can hear.
Thunder.
[01:16:27] Speaker E: So is this the time that we do? The one hour, one.
[01:16:30] Speaker A: Not yet.
[01:16:31] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:16:32] Speaker A: But you all are aware that time for conversation might be drawing to a rapid close.
[01:16:37] Speaker D: Let's just try to protect everybody out there. Just keep an eye on your friends. I think keeping the clerics in between everybody is a good idea, but not too close.
[01:16:47] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:16:48] Speaker F: And, well, speaking of Vale, I think I just. Yeah, just I'll be.
I'll be different when we. I don't know.
[01:16:58] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:16:58] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:16:58] Speaker A: Ezro begins closing that statement. There's a really large lurch, and everybody, like. I mean, not falls, but, like, shifts to a leg.
Asiana dips slightly.
[01:17:09] Speaker D: I think I'm.
[01:17:11] Speaker G: I think when a lurch happens, J. Like, the wings at this point are, like, instinctual that pop out.
[01:17:19] Speaker E: We also, like, exchange all the vials and things. Right.
[01:17:23] Speaker D: With each other.
[01:17:23] Speaker E: So now we all have the ones that we want.
[01:17:25] Speaker D: Yep.
[01:17:25] Speaker E: Okay. And I think he's. I think the only thing Ron's going to say is that if you are looking for a place to fight and you can be within 30ft.
He doesn't say in exact words, because that's not how people do, but just know that my spirits protect. Those are close to me. So please don't go running off all alone.
[01:17:53] Speaker G: And those who are near me will get a little bit of healing, but I will be able to move for that as needed.
[01:18:01] Speaker A: There's one more lurch, and then Yana dives. Not an insane incline that you all couldn't hold on for, but a lowering as you watch her wings, her immense wings.
[01:18:12] Speaker G: Janice is like, shoulder her down tuck
[01:18:16] Speaker A: to each side and as you all lower yourselves and begin holding on to the leather rungs at the side of the saddle, she dips out of the clouds and suddenly the world all around changes. In an instant I forgot where my computer was and it looked all the way to P8.
Was that a message to me? No, that wasn't a message to me.
[01:18:38] Speaker E: Awesome.
[01:18:40] Speaker A: Yes. Feel free to message to the discord if you need, but signal me if I need to know because I won't check it otherwise.
[01:18:45] Speaker C: Yeah, not for you. Not for you. Scary.
[01:18:47] Speaker A: All around you all can hear dragons roaring back and forth to each other and shouting to each other in the litany of languages most of you don't speak. You hear sharp draconic and elder common or eldest common rather, and some in deepest speech. And the near silhouettes of the immense creatures all around, hardly visible through the thick clouds, shock into visible shape as they dip out of the clouds, they begin descending from their multi day flight. And you all watch as hundreds of dragons traced with gold, some of them all dipping down on the and and. And powerful colors and metallics are all dipping down on the clouds. And below that great storm is an endless escape expanse of white, frigid, hellish cold.
And all the dragons are just dipping, Yana, the largest of them, in their center. And you all watch for a bit. Their flight plan looks erratic, but you start to notice that they're all making a great shape around Yuul. And Yana takes this middling height as they're all forming this kind of protective barrier around Yuu and having flown most of the way across the immense Bitterlands, the frozen largest continent in the world.
Far in the distance you see a dark black mountain that is raising from where other mountains come together.
And that barren ashen storm is flaring with more power here where it was oppressive and dull and controlling all around the world. Here there are far red flares of red lightning that is making contact with the mountain range at distance. And you can hear the thunder cracks.
And as the dragons begin descending, you watch as this light lithe long slender red dragon with tears in its wings dips and rolls by you all and flames lick from the sides of her mouth as she begins to prepare. And there's, I mean all these different shapes and images. There's this rather rotund bronze dragon with extra weight and it's got jewelry clipped in its ears and its horns are adorned with bracelets and it just begins. You all watch as it weaves its fingers together, speaks in draconic and casts some sort of a spell over itself in mid flight and then dips down lower. And they're all preparing for conflict. And they are just soaring. They are, they are hitting great speeds, trying to build up as much momentum as they can to ferry you all to the, to the mountain with this great speed. And should any of them be available to attack with you, you all are holding onto the saddle now. Holding onto the saddle is more difficult. You, you can no longer just sit or stand. You have to hold. As Yana is making more dynamic flight movements, you are aware that this translucent barrier protects you from the outside, but you can fall out.
[01:21:47] Speaker H: Yeah.
[01:21:49] Speaker A: As the party grows closer.
I have other things and this is not yet the short prep time, but is there anything for the sake of role play, anyone's doing as you are in this massive assaulted attack?
[01:22:01] Speaker C: I think Greta, can you guys hear me?
[01:22:04] Speaker F: Yeah.
[01:22:04] Speaker C: Okay, sorry. Greta. She cast tongues on herself.
Oh, that's just with her, with her tattoo, it doesn't cost any spells. So she just does that just to hear. And I think she's like, she's thinking, she wants, like, if she's gonna, if she has the chance to speak to Zorgrim, she wants to speak with him like in his own, like, she's like, I'm gonna meet this person. I want to talk to him in his own tongue. And also just like to hear what is going on with the dragon Ro.
[01:22:30] Speaker F: Ro was gonna do that too. She was gonna twist her ring so she could hear any of the dragons speaking beside her.
[01:22:35] Speaker A: And as you all key into those languages, you start to hear them speaking in many languages. And they're shouting commands and strategies. Some of them are. Some of them appear to have long formed relationships with each other and are like shouting encouragements. Some are joking with each other.
A couple of them are singing.
[01:22:56] Speaker H: And
[01:22:58] Speaker A: they're just readying themselves for violence, for war, I think.
[01:23:01] Speaker D: Me, well, I don't know about you, faith in, but I would be like really close to you, like almost intertwined, trying to like hold on and stuff like that. Just as like a safety, like not out of necessity really, but just because
[01:23:16] Speaker A: we've been through so much in the distance.
[01:23:18] Speaker G: Absolutely. But also I am blasting you all
[01:23:21] Speaker A: are starting to see figures, black dots all over the frozen icy lands.
[01:23:28] Speaker G: Oh, I guess we haven't seen them yet.
[01:23:29] Speaker A: A litany of them, scattered.
Some of them, they're very small on the ground. Some of them are bigger.
And for the warriors of the well, you know well enough, obsidian souls, thousands across the frozen landscape. The Bigger shapes with almost the look of a humanoid movement to it must be the obsidian giants below.
And you all can see strange shapes to some of them, some of them are massive. Oh, these are obsidian corpses collected from across the realms, gathered here to protect this initiative.
And some of the dragons begin roaring and dipping. And you all watch as one of the blue dragons makes this rapid bank, flies past where a, a lot of those creatures are moving. And you watch as there's all these sprays of bright orange and yellow up toward the dragon. But he's moving outside of their realm as lava is launched upward from like 40, 50 different sources toward the ground, upward. But the dragon is banking above them. And you watch as, as power cracks around her head. And then she just.
It's far in the distance, but it's just raking the ground with lightning as she flies over. And you watch as she picks up one of the obsidian souls and then launches up in the air and just flings it and lets it fall. And a bunch of the dragons begin dipping and firing down on these masses. Before you watch a couple of the dragons, those of you with tongues, you hear a few of them say
[01:24:56] Speaker H: ambush.
[01:24:58] Speaker A: And then they begin banking upward as from the sky, Massive shapes, other dragons made out of pure obsidian begin free falling from the clouds. And whoever these upper dragons were of your forces who were first aware, they must have had some sort of a divination spell cast on themselves that was allowing them to see forward, to predict danger. And you watch as a bunch of the dragons begin breaking their form and moving upward to intercept before a couple of the obsidian dragons.
You watch there is one, there's one topaz dragon flying. And as he flies, this obsidian dragon fall, drops out of freefall and just crashes into him. And where it crashes into him, the obsidian dragon grabs him from behind, raises up its head.
And as you all look at these obsidian dragons, they don't look like obsidians made out of dragon. They look like dragon skeletons that are just cast in sharp, bitter obsidian. And again, not perfect like, like all the obsidian creatures. They look like crude attempts at imitating them. And it just raises up its head.
And the Topaz dragon turns its head to release a breath weapon before the obsidian dragon grabs one side of its head, turns it toward itself and into the Topaz dragon's open mouth just belches this gout of lava and fire, which begins cracking and melting the Topaz dragon's head before a different obsidian dragon bows out of the cliff cloud and hits the Topaz dragon from the other side. Ripping the back half of it off. And violence is spreading all around you. More dragons are beginning to. It's your dragons definitely outnumber the obsidian dragons that are falling down from the sky, but there are still plenty. And so there is a tight cluster of dragons near you all still protecting Yana and all of you at the center. But 30 or 40 of the dragons accompanying you move upward to intercept these obsidian dragons coming down. And then a number are banking out over the ground and like releasing kind of like an air assault on all of the obsidian creatures on the ground.
And you all realize that as you're reaching nearer and nearer to the mountain, these obsidian forces are covering the mountain. They have to thin these ranks so that they don't come join the battle against you all.
[01:27:11] Speaker F: Wow, how close is the closest one getting to Yana? Like on, like us.
[01:27:19] Speaker A: As your adrenaline is spiking and violence is raging all around you all. You all watch as smaller obsidian shapes begin falling out of the clouds. These are strange looking, they look like humanoids, but they have arcing obsidian, the skeletal scaffolding of wings and just dark fire burning behind it. And they begin trying to quickly weave their way past the dragons toward you all.
And the fungi's have never seen anything. Well, fungi's, these beings look very slightly like a fellow you met, no, that only Boz and Craig met, trapped on a tower long ago.
But for the warriors of the well sans Rongrim, the spoils of conquest of a ruined plane as obsidian dead devils ripped from their order hierarchy and replaced with monstrous imitations of themselves, are falling out of the skies, raining toward you all. For these there are hundreds and they begin flying down. And you watch as the sky begins to be like a laser tag show of just loathsome blasts of eldritch blast
[01:28:37] Speaker H: just
[01:28:39] Speaker A: firing in different directions, striking dragons. You all watch as some of the dragons like some of the dragons, one black dragon barrel rolls, reaches up with its open jaws and just smashes one of the obsidian devils, just shattering it all over the place.
One of the dragons flies up like ducks its wings, pulls back a hand and punches and begins practicing like aerial martial arts as some of these dragons are effectively monks.
And one of the dragons that's flying raises a hand and then where its hands close, this massive sword that's just a slab of curved sharp crystal appears in its hand and it begins attacking some of these devils and obsidian dragons with a weapon, with a magical weapon itself, as many of these dragons have as much class and individual ability and skills as you all do.
But as they are, as.
And some of the dragons are, you watch some of them begin to bleed brilliant blood down as they are being struck and stabbed by the bladed arms of these devils. And again, you realize that all of this violence is slowly working its way toward you. And Ro, as you say, which one is nearest you? Watch the first one sort of like dip and swirl, and silver dragon rises up to try and block it, and three more get in its way, and it rolls past, and it's finally making its way directly towards the saddle toward you all.
How's anyone reacting?
[01:30:00] Speaker E: I'd like to throw some javelins.
[01:30:01] Speaker H: Phenomenal.
[01:30:02] Speaker A: Roll the hit for me.
[01:30:03] Speaker G: 120ft.
[01:30:05] Speaker A: Excellent.
[01:30:05] Speaker D: I'm casting Eldrich Blast, too.
[01:30:08] Speaker E: Excellent.
[01:30:08] Speaker H: Go.
[01:30:09] Speaker A: All three of you, roll the hit for me.
[01:30:11] Speaker E: I. I am recklessly throwing it. Just.
[01:30:13] Speaker A: Excellent. Any.
[01:30:14] Speaker F: Any.
[01:30:15] Speaker A: Anything you don't want to lose a charge of or a spell slot for. This is a fine time.
[01:30:24] Speaker F: Ro is rose casting cut and burst.
Phenomenal to things. I mean, it's the only damage she can do.
[01:30:31] Speaker D: 26.
[01:30:32] Speaker E: My low is a 17.
[01:30:35] Speaker A: Jeez, wronged him.
[01:30:36] Speaker E: I rolled a three on that. Just so you know.
[01:30:39] Speaker C: I mean, I'll do Sacred Flame.
[01:30:41] Speaker A: Excellent. Can you guys hear me shaving? What did you get?
[01:30:45] Speaker G: 21 on the first blast.
[01:30:47] Speaker A: Okay, as. As the devil falls and twists toward you all, he comes within 30 or 40ft row. You begin, like, playing burst and cut. And as you begin, like, pulling up the cords, and Greta, as you, as you like, grab your symbol and raise up your hand to do Sacred Flame, this javelin flies through the air and just skids off of the side of its armor just with a shower of sparks. And it's, like, diving down toward you all before these two different golden beams of light fly into either part of its head, blow up the bottom of its stone jaw, and blow one of the horns off of its head. And it kind of spins and rolls. And then, Ro, you finish your tune, and you watch as. As. Like one of. As the obsidian length moving toward its crystalline arm just shatters, and the blade kind of fractures into pieces. And then, Greta, you finally finish your sacred flame. And as that green bolt of light burns out, it just sets it on fire. And the stone, which is not flammable, begins burning with radiant light. And then it just falls past Yana. It even impacts her, but just, like, bumps off of her adamantine, like, high. Just shatters and falls.
[01:32:02] Speaker E: I got 28 damage.
[01:32:04] Speaker A: Oh, you're still 17. Didn't hit.
[01:32:06] Speaker F: Oh. Can I tell you my damage for cut?
[01:32:08] Speaker G: Sure.
[01:32:09] Speaker F: For fun. Because I rolled it 24.
[01:32:11] Speaker H: Whoa.
[01:32:12] Speaker A: That's a lot from a cantrip.
[01:32:14] Speaker F: Well, it was. It was 17 just from the cantrip. And then 2D6 of Radiant. Because I have two now.
[01:32:23] Speaker H: Yeah, yeah.
[01:32:24] Speaker F: And so it was 24.
[01:32:26] Speaker G: At least three of my.
My fourth of my blast critted did 31 points of damage.
[01:32:32] Speaker A: That's awesome.
[01:32:33] Speaker G: Damage.
[01:32:33] Speaker D: Wait, did my 26.
[01:32:36] Speaker A: Okay, it blew up. It died. But you can tell your damage. Everyone's having so much fun rolling their die. Oh, my goodness. Car. I forgot how gorgeous those dice are. I should have never gotten them for you.
[01:32:46] Speaker D: Okay, I got.
There's four of them. Okay. Only one hit.
[01:32:50] Speaker A: That's fine.
[01:32:51] Speaker D: I'm not going to.
[01:32:52] Speaker A: You didn't have to expose yourself like that. You could have just left it at. You fired a cool golden beam, and we're being sent back.
[01:32:57] Speaker D: Well, because it says four, but hey,
[01:32:58] Speaker A: I appreciate the honesty.
Another one falls straight down, and its wings are wrapped around itself, and it's just spiraling in fire.
And you realize it's falling ahead of you and it's trying to intercept where you all are going to be riding.
And none of the other dragons appear to be seeing it at the moment.
[01:33:19] Speaker C: I shout out in draconic, and I say, there's a guy. And then I shoot a sacred flame at it.
[01:33:23] Speaker A: Okay. And as you shout in draconic.
[01:33:27] Speaker C: Oh, sounds cooler.
[01:33:28] Speaker A: Like, it's, like, in your more meager voice, like.
And as you point, you, like, fire that bolt. And as the bolt of fire begins pointing it out, a couple of the dragons see it. And before it can even reach you, Koloklast comes down and shatters it. He doesn't bite it. He doesn't fire lightning. He just points his horn at it and just.
And the devil shatters on his head. And a burst of obsidian and fire.
[01:33:52] Speaker F: Can I say, I know it's not exactly how the spell works, but just for this moment, can I say that I'm using burst, like, flavored, just to, like, push them away a little bit this time?
[01:34:00] Speaker A: Like. Like.
[01:34:01] Speaker F: Like, it's not doing as much damage. It's just, like, forcing them back a little bit.
[01:34:05] Speaker A: And as. As all of these creatures are attacking each of you, I would like to go around the table and hear from each of you one of the things you're doing to fight off all of these many smaller obsidian creatures which are trying to reach the saddle and attack you.
So Ro sitting there playing, and, like, where any of them are getting too close, they're being, like, rebuffed by Force or like.
[01:34:25] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah.
[01:34:26] Speaker A: As you. As you press one of them and they fly backward, it, like, adjusts its flight and, like, leans back in to fly back toward the barrier. But in that moment that it got pushed back the distance, it got pushed back away from Yana. Like a horror movie. Like a. Like sharks being mischaracterized 24 7. In horror movies, a dragon just a. Emerges out from below and just takes it. And these huge jaws just close around it. A little obsidian leg falls. Oh, anyone else want to.
[01:34:53] Speaker C: I think that Greta's just.
Maybe there's like, one or two dragons that she's kind of, like, locked in with. And she's maybe using thaumaturgy to, like, cast her voice so that they can hear doing callouts.
[01:35:06] Speaker G: Like, that's it.
[01:35:07] Speaker C: So she's, like, using a combination of thaumatic with sacred flame to, like, point at where they are and just, like, keeping our eyes on the sky and just, like, maybe there's one or two that are, like, listening and just playing, like, catch up to knock off any ones that get through the other defenses.
[01:35:25] Speaker E: Heck, yeah.
[01:35:26] Speaker G: You're a bit of a lookout.
[01:35:27] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just helping look for stuff.
[01:35:31] Speaker A: Hey, Noah, are you still doing things, running things for people, like, grabbing things?
You're the best, and I love you so much. Would you get me another mint tea? I have the tea tin on the counter, and apparently the small faucet next to the sink produces tea hot water. So if you wouldn't. Thank you.
[01:35:47] Speaker D: That's sick.
[01:35:49] Speaker A: You're the absolute best, and I really appreciate it. Thank you very much.
You can put a different bag if you want. But also, I'm not picky.
Thank you, Noah. You're the best.
[01:36:03] Speaker E: Nickel.
[01:36:04] Speaker B: I'm gonna say that Craig is gonna pull out Star splinter, and I think the radiant light. Let's just flavor that also. It's kind of like. It deters, I guess.
I think that he's, like, wielding it and anything that's coming close, he's like, preparing to slash it. But the light that gets near it almost like.
[01:36:25] Speaker A: Yeah. Even if you slash out, you don't even have to. To make contact before. Just the light seems to burn the front of them and crack them slightly. And they, like, have to move back, which is giving time for other allies to strike out of them. That's dope.
[01:36:38] Speaker G: Javian.
While again, he's hunts with Janice. And if that's okay, I think we kind of maybe like, do a, like, eye over, like.
[01:36:47] Speaker A: Oh, turrets.
[01:36:49] Speaker G: Like, I. I got over this direction. Over this direction.
Yeah.
[01:36:55] Speaker A: Full Charlie's Angels.
[01:36:56] Speaker D: Literally.
[01:36:56] Speaker G: I'm casting.
And I'm casting arcane blast. And part of the damage it does. Well, actually, not because of the spell, because of my circlet enacted. Is doing radiant damage.
[01:37:08] Speaker H: Yeah.
[01:37:08] Speaker G: Which I'm sure the devils don't love.
And I think. Yeah. He just has, like, two hands out, and it's. It's almost like a spotlight.
[01:37:19] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:37:19] Speaker G: Just, like. There's just, like, constant four blasts of turn just going out in all directions. And between that and like, his halo and Janice being Janice, we are like, a very bright spot in this darkness.
[01:37:32] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
[01:37:33] Speaker A: That's awesome.
[01:37:35] Speaker D: Okay, well, to carry on with that, I'll be, like, on the other side of Shavium. And.
[01:37:41] Speaker A: You're the best, Noah.
[01:37:42] Speaker H: Thank you.
[01:37:43] Speaker D: I'm going to.
[01:37:45] Speaker G: Yeah. It just even knows he's pretty high.
[01:37:50] Speaker D: Okay. So I'm gonna cast firebolt. But I think it would be really cool if, like, when I was casting it, I'm, like, pulling the, like, light from the friction of the clouds and, like, corals. Yeah.
And then it would be maybe, like, even the light that's coming out could be, like, a gold, but, like a tinge of red.
Yeah. Anyway, so I'll do that. On the other side, Janice, is you're
[01:38:22] Speaker A: firing off the bolts.
The fire, like, strikes, but it's not fire at all. And thanks to Yana Zangala's transmutation, the gold fire, like, burns on them. And sometimes you. You time the firebolts, like, with the lightning strikes.
[01:38:41] Speaker D: Yep.
[01:38:41] Speaker A: And you swear the lightning strikes are very slightly dimmer.
[01:38:44] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:38:44] Speaker A: As you fire your fireball, pull some of their light.
[01:38:46] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:38:48] Speaker A: Rongrim, as all of this is going on as two or one. As one of the. Because they're fairly high. Sierra, as one of the obsidian devils makes it past all of these many defenses and beams and strikes and kind of dives for robot from behind.
What does that interception look like?
[01:39:06] Speaker H: What?
[01:39:09] Speaker A: A massive, serrated bladed arm raises up above Ro, and as you get close to it, you can see that they have the forked horns of the devils broken at strange angles. But the entire center of the face has been removed. There is no face. There is no skull. It's just this. This, like, forked bifurcation. And in the center, red fire burns where there should be ahead.
[01:39:29] Speaker C: Greta. Greta sees that, and she, like, like, she sees that, and then before her eyes, like, Walter's face flashes in front of her and, like, that blade coming through his chest. And she just, like. She, like, starts to scream, and nothing Comes out, and she's just frozen as she, like, sees that happen in, like,
[01:39:45] Speaker E: a flash, I think in that flash where that comes over Ron Grimm, very, like, not casually, but in a confidence certainty. Yeah, he just, like, comes over, and he. With his shield, he's pulled out his shield, and he pulls out his trident, and he just looks at him, and as the sword's coming up, I think he just puts a shield in front of it.
[01:40:04] Speaker A: Oh, intercepts him.
[01:40:06] Speaker E: Yeah, intercepts the blast. And then in both video game and in comic book ways, I, you know.
[01:40:13] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, Flavor town.
[01:40:15] Speaker E: Get over here. And he, like, throws his trident and pulls him in, and then he, like, lays his shield onto the thing. So he's pinning him to the ground, and he's just bringing the trident up and stab, stab, stab, stab. Awesome. Until he's dead.
[01:40:31] Speaker A: It doesn't take long, especially given your damage output. As the blade arm comes down, Ro, you see Greta's startled expression, and you turn, and before you can turn, you hear the impact of the.
Of the blade scattering off of that, like, heavy blue crystalline flail snail shield. And as you scatter the blade away, you pin his head with the trident, rotate him to the ground, shouting, get over here. And you slam the trident down on his head and then flip the trident down and just.
And in two or three stabs, his body shatters and scatters.
All this violence is perpetually raging.
Far in the distance, you all hear a.
Sound from above.
And that didn't sound like thunder.
Kind of sounded like an explosion, but maybe a roar.
And there's just this.
More shapes descending. This is. You guys are maybe a couple thousand feet from the mountain now rapidly arriving. And these last couple shapes drop, and they're still. There's still. I mean, chaos and valor is raging all around you as these four or five small black orbs. And as they get closer, you realize that they are massive obsidian skulls filled with teeth and one single burning fire in the center with little burning flames orbiting around them. Obsidian beholders are flying forward.
And descending from the center of the three or four of them is this immense mass as what drops down out of the center is an obsidian dragon, maybe 30ft larger in every direction than Yana, as an obsidian great worm that Zorgrim slaughtered in some other realm falls with so much force that the clouds part.
And as a few other obsidian dragons sort of convene on that point. Up until now, for all of this violence and chaos, the battle felt very disproportionate that your dragons outnumbered and greatly Overpowered the forces you're facing. And now it becomes clear, with Sen Va's premonitions and maybe some of what she was discussing to Yana, there might have been purpose in having so much forces as provision for the future.
And wherever a draft can be spared, many of them just leave the obsidian creatures on the ground and on the mountain alone to return to them later. Like 30 or 20 or 30 dragons pull up from below, and five or six that were ferrying you all zoom ahead. And violence, difficult to describe, erupts as maybe a quarter of your forces descend on this obsidian great one and all these beholders. And the dragons moving with them. And red beams fly. You watch one dragon gets the top right quarter of its hand and arm annihilated by a disintegrating beam of fire and heat. And it just barrels forward and crashes into the beholder and begins trying with its remaining fingers to mechanically rip the jaw away from its stone head.
One very slender dragon that's kind of weaving and rolling, rolls under and around the beholders, moving up toward the great wyrm, which isn't looking at it before the great. And as it summons its breath weapon, the great worm just takes this really slow but massive rolling motion. And the breath weapon still clips it on the side, but where it comes out from the other side, its massive wing rotates around and strikes the slender dragon. And you all just hear at a distance, a loud snap as the dragon falls from the sky, its spine broken instantly dead. And all of these dragons descend on and begin. Dragons begin like attaching to the great worm that's so much bigger than it. Like five or six of them can hold onto it at the same time and begin firing at it as it begins turning its head and unleashing so much fire that it's just melting some of them, except for this red dragon that's right on the side of its head, being fully unaffected because it's immune to fire. And so all of these dragons are battling, and you all hear this one loud chirping roar, this from Yana as she suddenly. You all have to grab and hold on to the reins. I actually need everyone to give me strength. Saving throws. I can do that.
[01:44:50] Speaker C: Okay, remember that we're all within 10ft of Craig, so we get a plus three.
And plus one.
[01:44:56] Speaker A: Yeah, plus one on all saving throws.
[01:44:58] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[01:45:01] Speaker C: And plus three because we're here.
[01:45:05] Speaker A: What you got there, buddy?
[01:45:07] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh.
[01:45:07] Speaker F: I'm gonna use this sound I'm gonna
[01:45:12] Speaker A: need to save anything vital. You can save it for the fight.
[01:45:15] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:45:15] Speaker A: I can't stress that enough.
[01:45:17] Speaker F: Okay, Well, I mean, can't stress that I rolled a two and I have minus two and you rolled a zero and then. But I get a plus one because of Craig, so I rolled a plus
[01:45:28] Speaker C: three because of Craig and plus one because of our.
[01:45:30] Speaker D: Yeah, it's plus four.
[01:45:32] Speaker F: So I went to zero and then
[01:45:35] Speaker A: you rolled two, went to zero, went up to four, and now you can roll a D4.
[01:45:40] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:45:43] Speaker F: One.
[01:45:44] Speaker A: You have a five.
[01:45:47] Speaker C: Oh, you're right. Thank you.
[01:45:48] Speaker E: What did.
[01:45:49] Speaker A: What did Craig get?
[01:45:52] Speaker B: I got a 22.
[01:45:54] Speaker A: Excellent.
[01:45:55] Speaker C: Greta, hold on. I think. Hold on. Sorry.
[01:45:58] Speaker B: I don't know.
[01:45:59] Speaker A: I should have called on you last, and that was on me, basically. Javian.
[01:46:04] Speaker G: A7.
[01:46:06] Speaker F: What happened with Rose? She wasn't holding on because she was. She was playing and casting, so that's why she was, like, caught off guard.
[01:46:11] Speaker B: Craig is right beside.
[01:46:13] Speaker A: We're gonna come to that in a second.
[01:46:14] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:46:15] Speaker A: What did you get?
[01:46:16] Speaker D: He got a 14.
[01:46:17] Speaker A: Into the mic, please.
[01:46:18] Speaker F: Oh, sorry.
[01:46:19] Speaker D: He got a 14.
[01:46:20] Speaker A: Excellent.
[01:46:21] Speaker C: I got a. Oh, I'm sorry. Reddit got a 12.
[01:46:24] Speaker A: Excellent. Janice.
[01:46:26] Speaker D: Janice got 13.
[01:46:27] Speaker C: I don't know. I'm sorry. I didn't get a 12.
[01:46:30] Speaker A: Tello.
[01:46:30] Speaker C: So sorry.
[01:46:31] Speaker B: I don't know.
[01:46:33] Speaker C: Tello did. Well, this is strength.
[01:46:37] Speaker D: I'm not rolling.
[01:46:39] Speaker A: Does he have a modifier to strength?
So then it's just the number on the die, right?
[01:46:43] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:46:45] Speaker C: 22. Excellent.
[01:46:47] Speaker B: Oh,
[01:46:50] Speaker D: wait, what did I say for you?
[01:46:52] Speaker B: Egg.
[01:46:52] Speaker D: Sorry, I accidentally added plus five, but that was to Janice's, so he should be minus one.
[01:46:58] Speaker A: Understood.
[01:46:58] Speaker D: Okay.
Sorry.
[01:47:00] Speaker A: Craig assuredly.
[01:47:02] Speaker D: I know.
[01:47:02] Speaker A: Grabs one of them.
[01:47:03] Speaker D: I'm just nervous.
[01:47:04] Speaker A: There's. There's the clinking of his armor as he.
[01:47:06] Speaker G: I got 12.
[01:47:07] Speaker C: I don't know.
[01:47:09] Speaker A: That's the number you told me the first time.
I've always represented 12 by a 0 and a 2.
[01:47:16] Speaker D: Me too. Me too. Me too.
[01:47:17] Speaker E: Me too.
[01:47:18] Speaker C: Dan's place in two Place.
[01:47:24] Speaker A: You were like. I'm just in the zone, Zach. Catch up. Listen, Craig, the metal vise of your gauntleted hand grabs onto the side, and as Ro. No, excuse me. As Greta launches with a lurch. She grabbed, but she just falls off. You catch her into you, and you just feel the. The wind gets knocked out of you.
[01:47:43] Speaker G: Sorry.
[01:47:44] Speaker A: Fall against the heavy metal plate. No, that was.
[01:47:46] Speaker F: Oh, that was Greta that fell into his.
[01:47:48] Speaker A: Oh, I said robot.
[01:47:49] Speaker F: I mean Greta.
[01:47:49] Speaker A: Greta falls in. We'll come back to that.
[01:47:51] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:47:51] Speaker A: Xavian with the sudden lurch as Yana pulls upward in the air. You are thrown back.
Do those wings pop out?
[01:48:01] Speaker G: They bin out.
[01:48:02] Speaker A: And the brilliant golden wings, as you like, get launched backward. You just. Just catch yourself with the wings, propel yourself back and land right back onto the saddle. Completely unaffected.
[01:48:14] Speaker G: Yeah. And also I'm definitely, like, looking to see if someone else is like, falling
[01:48:20] Speaker A: to go as the 28. As the.
Oh, I never asked you. That's right.
[01:48:26] Speaker D: Thank you.
[01:48:27] Speaker A: As with a 28. As the nearly 300 pound you egg goes doesn't have quite enough force to hold on. What does it look like as you keep him from falling half a mile into the sky?
[01:48:37] Speaker E: Oh, I think there's. There's almost like a portion that almost. I feel like Ron Grimm always grabs
[01:48:45] Speaker A: when uegs either just instinctually near him.
[01:48:48] Speaker E: Yeah.
He's like grabbing the rim of shell and just like, you know, like Captain America.
[01:48:55] Speaker A: Yeah, the double bicep shot where it's bubbly.
[01:48:58] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:48:59] Speaker A: And demonstrating some of this supernatural strength. For the record, the strength of a fire giant or more 25 strength.
No, the strength of a cloud giant.
[01:49:11] Speaker E: As.
[01:49:12] Speaker A: As Rongrim, suddenly, as Ueg gets pulled off and begins rolling out of the saddle, Rongrim, with one hand on one binding, takes his other hand and grabs Ueg by the edge of his shell as. As Daniel described. And as he does, Uegg's entire body lifts with the motion. And Wrong. Grim holds onto all £300 and just pulls it back to himself.
[01:49:32] Speaker H: Wow.
[01:49:32] Speaker A: Like you would pick up an object.
[01:49:35] Speaker D: Crazy.
[01:49:35] Speaker A: Because Wrongrim is that kind of strong now where he could pick up a person and toss them. And he is secured.
[01:49:42] Speaker D: I feel very safe with him.
[01:49:44] Speaker G: I just have to try to keep.
[01:49:46] Speaker D: Actually, we're sticking together.
[01:49:49] Speaker A: Javian, having successfully flown yourself, how do you catch Jamins?
[01:49:54] Speaker G: I mean, Janice and I were kind of.
[01:49:56] Speaker D: We were like intertwined right by each other.
[01:49:58] Speaker G: So I feel like even like in the roll, as soon as I catch myself, I'm kind of right by her.
[01:50:02] Speaker A: Catch her and then land with both of your battles.
[01:50:04] Speaker G: Part of the reason for this whole time we've been on, he's kind of part of the reason.
[01:50:08] Speaker A: Anticipated.
[01:50:09] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:50:10] Speaker A: Which adds into foresight. You knew it was coming. You saw it a moment before and caught it.
[01:50:14] Speaker G: Oh, I forgot to roll that save with advantage.
[01:50:17] Speaker A: Oh, well, it's almost like maybe I put this little check in here as a brief little test run to make sure everybody got this opportunity to use all of their different new features.
[01:50:25] Speaker C: And I think I failed the test run.
[01:50:27] Speaker D: Me too.
[01:50:27] Speaker A: All of you all do an excellent time securing your allies and fastening them, except for Ro with her five Hugos launching off of the back of Yana. And as she's in free fall for all of three seconds, massive dragon like hands catch you out of the air as Villek swoops by and grabs you and he's just.
And he lifts you up near his massive draconic head. And as he turns, he's got a confident look, but there's his dark green blood streaked all down the side of his jaw. And you can see a couple of his fangs are missing. And there's a heavy impact and there's a burn down his neck. But as he catches you, he looks at you and with a very confident smile, he just says, no, you owe me two visits. And as he gets up a little higher, he just drops you into the saddle and you land back among your allies. And Yanis flies up above the immense conflict happening and back into the stormveil of the clouds, trying to elude some of the sitting creatures and four or five other dragons. The last remaining of your convoy, not otherwise engaged, join her.
And you all begin approaching the peak itself.
Ahead of you all.
You what?
[01:51:48] Speaker F: Sorry.
[01:51:51] Speaker A: Okay, well, you know what? Maybe here's what we'll do.
And as you all move further.
[01:51:57] Speaker G: What?
[01:51:57] Speaker A: Sorry, yeah, it's. It's gone.
As you all dive further, everything disappears into that black, into that shadow, into that swirling darkness.
And there is this intense moment.
It's dark all around, but it is filled with sound. You all can still hear the thundering, crashing in the roaring. Sometimes they are interrupted by worse sounds, horrible pained cries from dragons, smashing and thundering noises, all occurring together as a conflict Yalbren has not seen, the scale of which in more than three and a half thousand years rages outside of the mountain.
But as you all hear all of that distance and muffled as you all are in the dark,
[01:52:44] Speaker H: there's just this moment of tension.
You have seconds.
[01:52:49] Speaker A: As Yana's powerful wings beat toward the mountaintop hundreds of feet away.
What is everyone doing with the their last preparations?
[01:53:01] Speaker D: Is this the last UEG is going to cast?
[01:53:03] Speaker C: Oh, this is it, Bless.
Okay.
[01:53:07] Speaker A: UEG lifts his staff, looks around and says.
Well, he doesn't say anything. He just presses the staff down and there's this flourish of green light. And all of you have these small like flowers grow somewhere on your armor. A little. Yeah, yeah, little tiny flowers grow somewhere on your armor. And each of you all are magically warded by all.
[01:53:27] Speaker C: Greta also casts Bless to cover the rest of the party. And she Is concentrating on that.
[01:53:32] Speaker A: As Greta mutters in careful incantations,
[01:53:40] Speaker H: Those
[01:53:41] Speaker A: you bless have this tiny little green eye momentarily appear above their foreheads and disappear.
[01:53:48] Speaker E: I grab my staff and use two of the jewels.
[01:53:52] Speaker A: Anybody know something's under this map plate? Or is it just at that angle?
[01:53:55] Speaker E: It's just we didn't do right.
[01:53:57] Speaker A: Okay. It's fine.
That's okay. No pressure.
[01:54:02] Speaker E: I use.
Well, I use a few of the jewel. I use all the tools in some form or fashion for the last moments that we have.
I use the blue jewel for the compatriot. And I'm gonna. I have to roll this. But, like, the jewel gives me extra health points and an extra D4 to do my saving throws for a minute. And then the other one I do is the new one. The golden filigree comes out with the fourth golden spirit and gives me a bit of a buff as well.
[01:54:31] Speaker A: And the spirit of the maker wards you, and you wrap with light. The blue spirit comes beside you and emboldens your weapon.
[01:54:37] Speaker E: And then I think the only last one I do is I chain. Like, here's my question.
Do I need a chain? I guess I'll do it.
[01:54:44] Speaker A: You can do either. It's honestly your flavor.
[01:54:46] Speaker E: Yeah, I think he would to embrace a bit of the new stuff. I think he activates this trident where it erupts in flame. And then he uses reaction to change it from. Instead of the flame, you wisps. It turns like golden shards.
[01:55:00] Speaker B: Ooh.
[01:55:00] Speaker A: Like illusory.
Like light that's on fire and wisping smoke of. Almost the visual effects for the spirit in the Prince of Egypt, but, like, more gold.
[01:55:10] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:55:10] Speaker H: Yeah.
[01:55:12] Speaker A: And as they burn off of the trident, they burn off of you. It like, snakes up your arm and begins burning up some of your body too.
[01:55:18] Speaker E: Yep. That's all I do. That's all my thingies.
[01:55:21] Speaker D: Can Janice be looking around? Can I, like, do, like, a swirling darkness? Okay, never mind.
[01:55:28] Speaker A: Gotcha, dude.
[01:55:29] Speaker G: Javeon.
As if having his circlet glowing and his wings and his golden wings of just light. And light actually every color pearlescent. Just shifting.
As if that was not enough, he's also going to summon his sword redeemer.
[01:55:51] Speaker A: The golden blade
[01:55:54] Speaker G: that is also made of every color imaginable. It's silver and it's every gemstone metal.
And it just kind of. Yeah. It cuts through existence to appear in one hand. And then he uses other hand to cast a spell real quick.
And around him appearing, seven motes of light appear around his head.
And seven more golden Lights are circling his head as he casts crown of stars.
[01:56:26] Speaker A: Looking like an.
Looking like an archangel.
[01:56:29] Speaker G: The shiniest, brightest person.
[01:56:31] Speaker A: So shiny, so sad, so hot.
[01:56:36] Speaker G: A little gold tear falls.
[01:56:38] Speaker A: He's just. He's just so shiny.
[01:56:40] Speaker B: So sad, so hot.
[01:56:42] Speaker G: Craig Weewoo needs to see me again.
[01:56:45] Speaker B: Craig is going to do cosmic instrument or prepare it, really, which allows him to do something y' all don't know. That's fine.
[01:56:56] Speaker A: Y' all do know star splinter flares with light.
[01:56:59] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:56:59] Speaker B: And then he's gonna also engage Godspeed. So his wings kind of, like, pop
[01:57:05] Speaker A: out the metal plates all along. Your wings, like, unfold and turn into these, like, burning. It's like the metal melts around your shoulders, and then they turn into these long plates elongating magically. It's like a. It's like wings made out of metal strips. Shards that are burning gold at their edges.
[01:57:24] Speaker B: And he already did bottle talent, so.
[01:57:27] Speaker A: Excellent.
[01:57:28] Speaker B: We're good.
[01:57:29] Speaker A: We're set. Phenomenal. Your shield is out, right?
[01:57:32] Speaker H: Okay.
[01:57:33] Speaker C: I think Greta's gonna cast spiritual weapon, and just, like, a big eye is gonna appear above her. Oh, cool.
It's like this big,
[01:57:45] Speaker A: like, in the picture. You're doing your artwork.
[01:57:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Wow.
[01:57:49] Speaker C: Yeah. But it's, like, gold and green this time.
And I want to say there's, like. It's like. It's like an eye, and then an eye within an eye within an eye. But I want to say it's so big that, like, at the center, there's, like, the little maker symbol at the middle.
[01:58:04] Speaker G: Sick.
[01:58:04] Speaker C: Maybe the rest of it is, like, a light gold. And then in this or like, a light green. And then in the center, there's, like, the maker sits.
[01:58:12] Speaker A: Symbol is the word awesome. The billion green symbol appears. And it's. It's cool because where you guys are writing, Anyana, she's in complete darkness now, and you all can't see anything around you except for the light that's coming off of Javian and the light that's coming off of Greta and the light that's coming off of Vongrim and off. So, like, each of you guys are shining in the dark on the back of the saddle. And there's just the silence of the, like,
[01:58:42] Speaker C: Bro.
[01:58:43] Speaker F: Ro is gonna cast.
She's gonna use. She's gonna, like. She's gotten where she can really, like, switch between her loots really fast. She's gonna switch to song splitter, and she's gonna use two of its charges to cast heroism on Greta.
Awesome.
So you're already immune to frightened but every turn on the beginning of your turn, you. You gain five temporary hit points.
[01:59:07] Speaker G: Whoa.
[01:59:08] Speaker C: Every turn at the beginning for six turns. Wow.
[01:59:11] Speaker G: But, so that's not like five more each turn. It's just that it comes back each turn.
[01:59:16] Speaker A: If you lose them.
[01:59:17] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:59:17] Speaker A: Doesn't keep going up, but you get it back.
[01:59:19] Speaker F: Exactly.
[01:59:19] Speaker A: And Abby, for all intents and purposes, we're going to call that, like, once we start initiative, like if there's any. If it's like, oh, wait, 12 seconds have passed. Once we start initiative, that'll start.
[01:59:28] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:59:29] Speaker C: So I regain five hit points.
[01:59:30] Speaker A: Points, yeah.
[01:59:32] Speaker G: Because I feel like we're saying we do some of these, like the moment before we jump.
[01:59:36] Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely.
[01:59:37] Speaker B: And I also want to cast guidance on myself before we're going in and stuff.
[01:59:43] Speaker A: That's all very cool. You are guided.
[01:59:47] Speaker F: If I want to do something as we jump, do I need to say that now?
[01:59:49] Speaker A: You can do it as you jump.
[01:59:50] Speaker G: Okay.
[01:59:53] Speaker C: Make himself invisible. Tell us. Going to make himself invisible.
[01:59:56] Speaker G: Sick.
[01:59:57] Speaker A: Tell just disappears.
[02:00:01] Speaker G: Well, we already lost one.
[02:00:03] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[02:00:04] Speaker D: No, don't say that.
[02:00:05] Speaker A: As you already yourselves.
[02:00:06] Speaker E: I think I would do also. I would just in case, make my eye glow so I can see invisible things.
[02:00:12] Speaker A: Oh, sick. And in the darkness, Wong's one eye flares with golden light. That's awesome, Daniel.
[02:00:18] Speaker G: Cool.
[02:00:18] Speaker A: I mean, why not, right? If you got. If you. You got to smoke them. Smoke him.
[02:00:21] Speaker G: You got them.
[02:00:22] Speaker H: Dang it.
[02:00:22] Speaker A: Anyhoo, you all are preparing. And in this one moment, one last wingbeat. And then the wingbeats stop as Yana folds her wings and just rolls, diving out of the cloud. There's a great roar as you all fall out of the cloud.
Oh, it tied right with the song. The raised mountain peak comes into view.
Shattered, removed, ruined into pieces.
In front of you is the corpse of a mountain.
The top of it has been obliterated, annihilated. Stone ripped apart, smelted, crashed, shattered.
The storm rages here. It's like it's an eye, but not an eye of calm. An eye of intensity where it swirls and all around, distant crashes of lightning. Like the. Like the. The storms that gather around erupting volcanoes, it reaches out and strikes from some of the plumes of smoke escaping from the fractured earth. And where is the well where you all remember the verdant garden, There is
[02:01:46] Speaker H: only waste and destruction.
[02:01:48] Speaker A: It looks like the place that is here is 150ft lower and crashing in this quarter mile crater, destroying the most sacred site to the Ikone.
There is this central pit where you can see that portal traveling down in the mountain. Mountain is being further and further destroyed and erased.
And at its center is a horrible figure, stories tall.
The dark skeletal dragon in perfect obsidian with burning red fire between the long spindle spines of his wings. His immense long tail, barred with the instruments that have taken the lives from
[02:02:31] Speaker H: gods, moves and banks back and forth.
[02:02:35] Speaker A: Horns erupt from his head and down from his jaws. Flame licks up from his mouth.
And he simply.
Looks up at you.
[02:02:48] Speaker F: All
[02:02:50] Speaker A: your dragon compatriots launch into action. Sorry.
Oh no man, I forgot that I'm not on Northstorm.
[02:03:03] Speaker H: I'm on
[02:03:05] Speaker A: Pyroclastic ruin.
[02:03:07] Speaker F: Yeah, Bonus action.
[02:03:09] Speaker G: Heart falls to the bottom of.
[02:03:11] Speaker A: Oh, there is one massive roar from Yana and Coloclast roars in unison. Senva and Vilek as well.
And you all watch as the fifth and sixth dragons that were banking along you all obsidian dragons, just dart out from the cloud and crash into them. Another darts down in front of you before a second obsidian dragon rakes into it, tackling it into the mountain. But these last four dragons ferry you.
Senva accelerates, her brilliant emerald body flying ahead of you as as she doesn't need to swing her, she doesn't need to push her wings. She just tucks them into herself and with gravitational force she just rockets herself forward toward him.
As she does, the many crystalline parts of her skull come apart and begin orbiting her head. And she just fires this invisible psychic beam at Zorgo as it momentarily strikes him.
[02:04:12] Speaker H: He
[02:04:15] Speaker A: is disoriented for a moment, fire escaping from his mouth.
And as her head shifts in preemptive warning, all of the pieces of her head turn and rotate and warn her above. And as Zorgrim looks like he's being disoriented, he lifts up a massive hand. And as his hand lifts, the storm reacts. And Senva senses as the Xenal Priest of Ioun, she's warned preemptively of the bolt. And she suddenly ducks and turns her body as this immense lightning bolt down from the storm and she banks around it. She turns upward and begins moving up out of the storm.
Sorry, I have so many notes here.
As the Xeno priest readies another attack, the hollow layered cacophony and roars of screams that make up the obsidian dragons echoes in your near proximity. And another one beacons bolting down out of the storm. And she launches herself upward, crashing into the dragon. And she pushes her way back out of the cloud, trying to protect you all from being assaulted by another enemy. As Zorgrim utilizes every last resource to protect himself in this moment. Disinterested with pride, disinterested with ego. Only here to accomplish his mission.
[02:05:28] Speaker H: Sorry.
[02:05:30] Speaker A: As Senva is knocked off course and Zorgrim begins to turn his attention back to you. While riding Yana down forward, Vilek dives from the other direction and shouts in his thundering voice at Zorgrim, you might be the end of everything, but your aesthetic is entirely unoriginal and Amen.
As he shouts it, Kalliklast barrels down in this rolling motion from the other side and a blinding streak of lightning launches out from him and strikes fruitlessly against Zord, scattering across his body and just moving into the stonework around him.
Forgot how I ended that song and sorry I lost where I was in my notes, okay? Kalaklas then rushes toward the swirling darkness and a dragon you all didn't see, he crashes into in the darkness and collides with it, protecting you all from another. Actually, it wasn't a dragon. This obsidian giant was marching its way up this mountainside and its massive head, the stone cavity hollowed from a face with lava leaking out, Kalaklasts tackles it out of the storm and into the darkness.
As Kalliklas tackles the image, Zorgrim turns his attention back to Vilek, raises a hand and this red energy streaks down his arm and he fires out this red beam at Vilek, who just caves and shatters before you all watch the illusion just kind of fall apart.
[02:07:16] Speaker B: Oh my God.
[02:07:17] Speaker A: The Leck's voice banks by from the clouds above.
Finally, in all of this distraction, as Zorgrim was managing everything else, Yana has gotten close enough to near the battlefield. She turns towards Zorgrim and you all watch, her head raised and she shouts to you all in deepest speech, jump. And from the sides of her mouth all of this like energy builds. And you all watch as the storm swirling above, some of the clouds begin pulling down toward her head and some of the stones on the ground rotate like and like the lava shifts in the river below and the entire landscape like twists from the energy and power. She's moving and all of you guys like disorient slightly as gravity slightly moves around her head as the energy builds and she just.
And this massive, just cone of force and light and cold and power bursts out from her and crashes into Zorgrim, who is tossed backward against the mountainside. And each of you all are given an opportunity to jump off and land and fall to the battlefield.
And as Yana banks the field in this long motion, as Zorgon recovers from the blast, and each of you all jump and fall to the earth. Find your position on the battlefield.
That is where we are going to end.
[02:08:41] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[02:08:42] Speaker A: Adventure.
Adventure. 256 in episode 183 or whatever. And we're gonna go on a break, we're gonna position some people on a map, and we're gonna come back to it.
Listener. Life's an incredible. And you're an incredible adventure. You're an important part of it.
Hold on. We'll be back soon.
