[00:00:05] Speaker A: Welcome D and D, your sword of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. I am not your host because there are many hosts, but we're back with another episode, and. But I am your bard, your local bard. So we're back with episode 111 and. [00:00:23] Speaker B: Ooh, 111. [00:00:24] Speaker A: That's pretty exciting. [00:00:25] Speaker B: The only time it ever happens. [00:00:26] Speaker A: That's an angel number thing going on there. So if your angel numbers are one, one, one, you just won nothing. But we are back. [00:00:37] Speaker B: Okay. All right. [00:00:41] Speaker C: Just kidding. [00:00:42] Speaker B: What? Yes, there's Bailey D and D is episode 111. The letter question for today is, if I understand correctly, let me know if I'm wrong. If your character was in our modern, real world, what would their fans be like? Also, who is the DMNPC? [00:01:04] Speaker A: I think it's. Hello. [00:01:10] Speaker C: I feel like since. Yeah, I have to say, jackie, because, like, I feel like since it. This is, like, party. Like, if your character. I don't know, it feels, like, right there. [00:01:19] Speaker B: Party. So, to start with Ro, what would Ro's fans be like in the real world? [00:01:26] Speaker A: I'm gonna literally take this from what? From mine and Landon's old band, but I think her fandom would be called the Roe volution. You don't like that? What? [00:01:43] Speaker B: Okay, so we have the rovolution, and they would be. [00:01:47] Speaker A: You're so rude. And they would be all about her music, and they would also be, like, really probably super political. And, like, if anyone talked about, like, the Kefkins online, like, all the revolution would just be, like, on it, you know? Like, they'd be like, no, they're very. That's why it's also revolution, because they're like, you know, it's, like, political and. Okay, fine. [00:02:18] Speaker B: Always wildly speculating about whoever was Ro was going out with or something. [00:02:22] Speaker A: Definitely. They're like. And then they'd be, like, sub tweeting, like, the king. They'd be, like, trying to set them up, and they'd be like, the king and Jackie and, like, rod. Okay. [00:02:40] Speaker B: Raccoon. All right. [00:02:47] Speaker C: Um. [00:02:48] Speaker D: I think that Greta would kind of have, like, a little cult following. Not an actual cult. Yeah, be a little bit. I think that it would be, like. [00:02:57] Speaker A: Um. [00:02:59] Speaker D: Not, like, famous. And she's not, like, super popular, but there are, like, in the way, like, I'm trying to think of. She's just, like, a. Like, a small group of people know about her, and they, like, write letters about her. She's, like, an exchange kind of. She's like. She's like, a weird writer who doesn't, like, they. It's a bunch of, like, information goblins. Like, she, like, she is, and they just, like, they, like, find some of her notebooks, maybe, or they, like, hear about her, and they all. It's like a bunch of nerds who are like, wow, the biggest nerd. But they're also all, like, weird and trusty like her. Maybe there's a couple, like, fancy rich people who are like, wow, look at the little lady that is smart. And they're like, her little. She's like, their little. [00:03:59] Speaker B: They're like, okay, Craig. [00:04:06] Speaker C: I'd say pre growth Craig or Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan dance. [00:04:15] Speaker B: Yep. Joe Rogan. I mean, honestly, probably. [00:04:23] Speaker C: Oh, Craig. [00:04:24] Speaker B: Free growth would probably be on the podcast. Probably beyond Rogan experience. [00:04:31] Speaker C: Ryan Gosling. That's a good. [00:04:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:34] Speaker C: Ryan Gosling fans. [00:04:36] Speaker A: What? [00:04:37] Speaker B: Okay. Deeply lost on what that means. [00:04:41] Speaker C: Well, you know how everyone is like, Ryan Gosling is him. Kind of a thing is who sure is him. [00:04:48] Speaker E: I don't. [00:04:49] Speaker C: I don't know what you're meaning. [00:04:50] Speaker E: I'm sorry. [00:04:51] Speaker B: So what you're saying is when Craig was on the Joe Rogan podcast, Brian Gosling was him. Fans. [00:04:59] Speaker E: Yeah, I get that. [00:05:00] Speaker B: That's what I've gotten so far. Everything else has been conversations with Abby away from the mic. I'm real lost. [00:05:10] Speaker C: Post growth, like, emotional development. [00:05:12] Speaker B: Ryan Gosling fans. [00:05:13] Speaker C: Ryan Gosling fans. [00:05:15] Speaker B: With it. With it. Boz. [00:05:19] Speaker E: So Boz, I think, has two options. The first one would be just a giant army of pet sticks that he's animated. [00:05:26] Speaker B: Awakened. [00:05:28] Speaker E: Awakened or inadvertently. A lot of anti vaxxers. [00:05:34] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:05:35] Speaker E: I feel like they probably hear him be like, oh, he's a hippie dippy druid. [00:05:39] Speaker A: Yeah. Crunchy vegans. [00:05:41] Speaker E: He's a crunchy man. He gets his power from nature. All right. Yeah, I think crunchy. He had a crunchy fan base. [00:05:47] Speaker B: That's what he would have. [00:05:49] Speaker A: Crunchy. Yeah. [00:05:54] Speaker E: Our DM has left, so I'm in. [00:05:55] Speaker A: Charge now, and I feel like Boz would be like, I realized the camera was off. I don't know what a vax is. I don't know. [00:06:04] Speaker D: I don't know what. [00:06:05] Speaker B: In fact, I'll have it in critical role, but. Okay, so Tello or Tello's fandom be like. Honestly, I just feel like Tello pre discovering himself and maturing, like, post discovering and maturing. Tello, I feel like, would just be like, really like a small YouTube channel about a guy on a growth, like, on a journey to, like, find himself. And so he's just like a bunch of other. It's like a small community of dudes, being like, yeah, it is okay to cry. And would they be the baguettes? The baguettes. And he would always end up YouTube. [00:06:45] Speaker A: Videos like, we hold negro tell would. [00:06:47] Speaker B: Definitely just be like a clout. Like barber who's like always showing off, like, the hairs he's cut and it's just a bunch of bros talking about how clean the lines are and he's just hopping on whatever the trend that week. And then every once in a while its videos have been backflipping and like wearing different fashion stuff. So it'd be whoever's attracted to that. I'd subscribe half my students. Okay, so ready to get into it for the note taking nights? This is episode 111 of the Accidental Adventures. [00:07:26] Speaker A: Why? [00:07:28] Speaker B: Which is deeply satisfying. Episode 111. House of Pain. [00:07:36] Speaker A: House of Pain. [00:07:39] Speaker E: Easy enough. [00:07:41] Speaker B: How did you originally have this episode? Something like warmer hearts. I really didn't know what you guys were doing exactly. In Unsen, it's a big guessing game. So I just temporarily named the file that. Cause I didn't know where it was going. [00:07:54] Speaker A: Should we invite seascore to the House of pain and just have the show down here? [00:08:01] Speaker B: You'll meet me in the manufacturing district, but take this off. So Ro said I want to see some collateral damage. So this is episode 111 at level eleven. Oh my goodness. Of the accidental adventures. And the date is 3488. Police butter Caladron. It's still just barely 32. And not them. And without further ado, fungi's use thems in the tavern. [00:08:42] Speaker A: It's a tavern. [00:08:43] Speaker B: Is that playing well? No, not a tavern, but you are in this structure. So where you all pass through the large wooden sliding door, I would like somebody to give me. I'm gonna describe the building. So the building is in rough shape. The roof on one side, it's like 200ft long, the building. And then like maybe 100ft wide. It's a big, like, hanger and not hang. I mean, I say hanger because that's like an applicable structure. It's like a massive storing silo, but not like a tubular one, like a giant structure. And it's all coarse stone along the bottom. And the floor is incredibly smooth, very smooth. To the point that, like, it was clearly like set stones, but the etchings have all been smoothed away from them to the point that like, you can only see like the indentations in the stone. There's not even a groove anymore. And the walls are all heavily worn. And at the left side, there's also another massive wooden sliding door. And then at the far side in the back, there's another wooden sliding door, but not on the right side where it faces toward the street and the roof sort of like in the middle to the right, it just has a giant caved in hole where the wooden beams have collapsed inward and have been moved out. And, like old, like wood shingles are just hanging in, degrading. It must rain just straight in here sometimes. But the floor is dry and the room is just, like, barren of other architectural feature. This place is clearly intended for storage. That's it. And the furniture of the room is all repurposed. It's all discarded crates opened up barrels or overturned for, like, chairs, like spools intended for, like, wheat gathered into bales or, like, overturned for tables. The bar is nothing but a series of crates laid over next to each other. And there's broken crates full of hay that, like, drinks are being pulled out of in bottles that are not cool. Like, this place is very just like what's here. There are rats darting around in corners. There's torches hanging on the wall, but not in, like, sconces, not in settings. They've just been jammed into gaps in the stonework, in the wood, and they're burning there and the place smells. There's probably hard liquor here, but there is a lot of just cheap meat and beer and smells like it. These are all obvious features, but they're are two, three great characteristics that stand out the stone of the place up to about 10ft up on the wall, all along the floor, especially on the floor, but also along the walls has long scrape patterns, not like claws, not in directions, all smooth and linear, especially the floor. And all of it has a thin white film, hard, and it crunches slightly under the foot. And in places it's clearly, like, absorbed what's been spilled onto it. Like, different drinks are like in brown patches, even some red smears. But it's all like this thin film over the ground. And then the entire southern half of the building, more than half, is just this indented drop down into the floor. It's like a six foot drop. And then just a lower floor that matches the rest of the structure where the stone goes down a little into the ground. And at each corner of that lowered area in which no one is standing and everyone is gathered around, there are these large erected metal poles with gems at the top top. You all don't need to make a check. You recognize and the gems are like, heavily set into the metal and bound around and there's runes carved into it. You guys recognize a comparable structure. And everyone here is proficient in Arcana, except for maybe tello. Everyone recognizes immediately this has an objurg of force field so that whatever goes on inside doesn't get out, just like in the blood bowl. So that makes sense. Magic must be permitted here, or at least people throw knives and bolts. If someone wants, they can make a history check as to what's up with the indentation in the floor and the white marks everywhere. If you're proficient, more than one. [00:13:05] Speaker E: Oh, what? [00:13:07] Speaker A: You have to be proficient in history. [00:13:10] Speaker B: Or if your modifier's above five. [00:13:13] Speaker E: Okay, it's not me. [00:13:15] Speaker B: Five or above me. [00:13:15] Speaker A: If I'm proficient in rumors. [00:13:18] Speaker B: Okay, I'll take rooms. [00:13:20] Speaker D: Probably a 24. [00:13:21] Speaker F: Okay. [00:13:26] Speaker A: I got a 17. [00:13:28] Speaker D: And I'm gonna say that Greta is taking notes of everything that she sees and notices, like, obsessively, more so than she ever has. [00:13:37] Speaker B: You are the only person in here in a book, and based on people in the room who you probably shouldn't judge but could make some snap judgments about you, probably half this room probably can't read. So as you're looking around, it dawns on you, Greta. Oh, this is a salt silo. Salt in great refined structures, would have been stored here a long time ago, and it's like so much of it has chipped away over the years. Over how? Like, this thing must have been used like crazy because the floor is worn away by the salt stones that were dragged across it, and so. Oh, this is why it's called the house of pain. Because once you're in the fighting ring, if a wound opens and you fall down, all the salt gets in your wound and burns. [00:14:22] Speaker A: Salt and wounds. [00:14:24] Speaker B: Yeah. This is why it's called the house of pain. That's awesome. And the place is pretty well filled. There's a lot of bustling and talking, but you guys get immediate looks. People start making the way. As you walk through, people can tell that these are the possible contenders. Very clearly, as you walk around this base, you all have entered. What are you doing? [00:14:44] Speaker A: Is there like a. I'm trying to. [00:14:47] Speaker E: Figure out where I can fight at or if there's, like, a place to, like, sign up or something like that? [00:14:51] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean, there is a clear ring in that indented area in the floor with the objurg of poles around it. You're not seeing any clear sign up spots, but give me either a perception or an investigation check to try and find something, and then. Ro, what are you looking for? [00:15:06] Speaker A: I was kind of looking for the same thing, but my thought was like, is there a specific bar? Because I feel like I would go talk to the bartender. [00:15:12] Speaker B: I mean, there is definitely just some crates over like that. People are both leaning on, sitting at and leaning over and also that are being opened to have liquor pulled out of. And there is a barkeep over there distributing things. You could go speak over there so you'll have that, right. Boz, what'd you get? [00:15:30] Speaker E: Oh, sorry. [00:15:32] Speaker B: Okay. You got a 15? Yeah, more than enough. Baz, you can see that there is a full blood uanti woman, a uanti anathema, which is actually not a term you're familiar with. I'm just communicating that to lan and the player. But there is a woman who do be a big old snake. So the bottom half of her body is just a giant snake from the waist down going back like 20ft. And the top of her body is heavily scaled. Only her right arm is skin and flesh and a dark brown. And the rest of her is covered in scales. And the scales go down the right side of her shoulder. And her left arm is not only scaled, but thicker and more muscular and stronger. The back of her neck, where the base of her skull meets the neck, that scaled skin expands slightly down to her traps, so her silhouette just looks like she has the buffest traps in the world. But when you get close to her, it's like a hood that goes down from her head of scales. And she's this deep green and brown with this complex dappling pattern that actually kind of breaks up and doesn't hold evenly down her skin, as if it's not naturally formed. And her face is elongated and piercing, and her incisors are longer and sharpened, and she has very reptilian eyes, and she has on one on her left arm that's muscular. There's this tight metal gauntlet with these three gemstones encrusted into it and runes indented around it. And she has a couple rings on the left hand, and then she has a sort of really short saber at her side. And then she has like a baldric around her, a leather strap going diagonally across her. But instead of being sheathed with weapons, it's covered in leather pouches for money. She has a tome hanging from one side on a metal chain. She's going around the room and speaking with people and collecting amounts and distributing. Someone says something rude and she hisses at them and they like, back down and hand over some money. And she's going around the room speaking with patrons. So you gather she's probably the person running the show and maybe the funds. And there's some rough characters in here. As you guys are walking through. Two guys get in a fight and knock each other over. Table start beating each other, and the larger fellow knocks the other one to the ground, wrestles him, starts beating him over the face, then beats him over the face, knocks him out, keeps hitting him. Okay, that might turn into a murderous. It is bad in here, but nobody is giving her any crap. People are staying clear. And so, boz, you're headed toward her. Ro, you head toward the bar where Greta follows. And as you get there, the individual at the bar is this tiny, bright blue with yellow sort of splotches all over. Grung fellow. He's a little poison dart frog man, and he has these little amphibious whiskers hanging off of his mouth, kind of like catfish fronds that look kind of like a mustache. He's got these heavy spectacles that make his gigantic eyes look gigantaker. They just take up the entire lens on each side, these black void eyes that have no pupils. He's walking around in this little coat, and he has these thick leather gloves on, and he's handing out drunks, like, drinks to people. And he, he is like, he's speaking, but every third word is a curse. And he's just rainbow language all up and down, just painting people with insults, and they're hideous. But some of the insults, some of the insults, the words that he gets out that aren't cursing, that we won't do on this recording, are all just really creative insults. Like, at one person, he says, your tonal voice was any sweeter than a sow's voice. I might look you in the eyes, but I vomit. Take your drink and leave. He's just accosting customers and selling drinks. So Ro will eat in with your. Oh, and Craig, are you doing anything in this space? [00:19:38] Speaker C: I'm gonna say that Craig is definitely interested in getting to know people at the bar. He's not necessarily drinking. Cause like you said, people, not the bar, but like, where the guy's handing out drinks, he's like, going up and, like, asking questions. [00:19:53] Speaker B: You're also with Ro and Greta? Yeah. Okay, so, boz, we'll get to you in a second, because there's an obvious character interaction there, but Ro is you and Greta head over the bar. Who wants to be first? [00:20:05] Speaker A: Genere, I can if Greta doesn't want you. [00:20:10] Speaker B: So he's handing out drinks and, like, collecting tabs. At one point, some guy over the bar, I gotta lose a new short sleeve. And the grung guy pulls off his glove and goes, that's fine. Reaches up, grabs his arm and squeezes it. And then the guy goes and freezes, and all the veins pulse out on his arms. He goes. He, like, vomits a little out of his mouth and falls over on the ground, convulsing. The grown guy climbs over the counter, pulls a coin pouch out, pulls out a couple coins, takes out a couple extra, puts the bag back on the guy, and then he looks at the bag, looks around, everybody goes. Just tosses it to someone else in the tavern, who grabs it, and two people start fighting over it. He climbs back across the bar, puts the glove back on and goes, all right, gulliful, what do you want? [00:20:53] Speaker A: Just beer is fine. Just anything you want. [00:20:58] Speaker B: Okay, we have good and bad. [00:21:00] Speaker A: Give me the good. [00:21:02] Speaker F: Okay, good luck. [00:21:04] Speaker B: And he turns behind him, opens a cordental flask and holds up this tankard that looks beat to crap. Oh, that has, like, cracks in it. And he just stops it and hands it to you, and he goes, that'll be three copper. [00:21:23] Speaker A: I hand him a silver, and he. [00:21:26] Speaker F: Goes, okay, I like you. [00:21:28] Speaker B: Puts it away in the pouch, and he says, if you got a puke, do it outside, I don't care. And he hands you the tankard. Do you say anything else, or. [00:21:40] Speaker A: He's moving quickly. Yeah, I just say, who do I talk to about fighting around here? [00:21:45] Speaker B: The snake lady. Okay, next. And he looks over at Craig. You want anything? Ew, shiny. [00:21:54] Speaker C: Yeah, I want something. I want your opinion. [00:22:02] Speaker B: Okay. You want a dream, or am I gonna paralyze you? [00:22:06] Speaker C: No, I'm just curious. From your experience of working here, who do you think out of all these people are gonna win? And would you put money on it? [00:22:15] Speaker B: All right. And he just turns away from you, crying. [00:22:17] Speaker C: And I'll get a drink, too, for your answer. [00:22:20] Speaker B: He turns back. Okay. Do you want good or bad? [00:22:23] Speaker C: I want good. What's your definition? Please don't get me drunk. [00:22:29] Speaker B: Turns around, grabs a tankard, fills up the. Fills up the receptacle, hands it to you. Three copper. [00:22:37] Speaker C: Thanks. [00:22:39] Speaker A: What do you. [00:22:39] Speaker C: Can I get your answer, though? [00:22:42] Speaker B: Are you gonna pay me, or am I gonna paralyze you? [00:22:45] Speaker C: Yes. Wait, here you go, Craig. Do you tell you your answer, though? Yes. [00:22:52] Speaker B: From your inventory? [00:22:54] Speaker C: Yes. [00:22:55] Speaker B: In what amount? Because you just made a motion of handing me something. I don't know what that means. [00:23:09] Speaker C: I give him. I say, I'll give you a little extra if you give me your answer. [00:23:13] Speaker F: Oh, my goodness. You. [00:23:15] Speaker B: I think you're gonna win. All right, pay me. [00:23:17] Speaker C: I'm not, cuz, I'm not playing. Dude, I'm being serious. [00:23:20] Speaker B: I'm being serious. I'm sure I can find someone in here to kill you. Are you gonna pay me or what's the deal here? [00:23:26] Speaker C: Oh my goodness. Silver. [00:23:30] Speaker B: All right, please. Somebody put something poisonous in his drink. [00:23:33] Speaker F: Okay. [00:23:34] Speaker B: And he puts it away in a pouch and walks away. Just. [00:23:36] Speaker C: Okay. [00:23:37] Speaker B: I mean, he's not a nice guy. No, he's mean. [00:23:40] Speaker C: I also don't drink. Greta, do you want this? [00:23:45] Speaker B: Craig, this gigantic guy leans over next to you and goes, hey, if you don't want, I'll take it. I like it, I'll take it. I'll be a friend. [00:23:50] Speaker C: I care about your well being. [00:23:53] Speaker B: No, I'll tell you that. You're gonna win the fights. [00:23:57] Speaker C: That's not what I wanna hear. Cause I'm not. [00:24:01] Speaker B: He just like sits down on the barrel next to you and goes, oh, buddy, what do you wanna hear? You're so shiny. [00:24:13] Speaker D: What do you want? [00:24:13] Speaker C: Do you know when like, there's like that posh, privileged fellow who's wearing a pillow, who looks like he belonged in golf, walks into a room where there's a bunch of like men who are like gruff and stuff, you know? That's how I feel. I feel like the boy in the posh polo. [00:24:30] Speaker B: What are you talking about, dude? You look so cool. You're so shiny. [00:24:36] Speaker C: Gonna go roll on some dirt. [00:24:38] Speaker B: Do you ever have a dream where you could. That you could. Okay. And then Greta, the grung fellow, walks over to you and goes, okay, what are you. Oh, um, hello. What would you like? [00:24:54] Speaker D: Hello. [00:24:54] Speaker A: He likes agarell. [00:24:56] Speaker D: Do you have any bread? [00:24:59] Speaker F: Uh, no, but do you want some bread? [00:25:07] Speaker B: Yeah, sure, yeah, whatever you got. [00:25:09] Speaker D: And I lean in and I whisper, good or bad? [00:25:15] Speaker F: I see what you're doing. Good, good. [00:25:20] Speaker D: I give him one of my good honey loaves. [00:25:22] Speaker B: Can you pull it out? He goes, whoa. And he just opens up his mouth full of. And his tongue. I got some bugs. [00:25:36] Speaker D: Okay, mug sandwich might be good. Okay, that's it. I'm gonna go now. [00:25:40] Speaker B: Hold on, hold on, hold on. Are you single? [00:25:43] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:25:45] Speaker B: Okay. I like older women. You wanna do something or. I get off at 04:00 a.m. i'll. [00:25:53] Speaker D: Be asleep by then. I'm old and I sleep a lot. [00:25:56] Speaker B: Okay, come back. [00:25:58] Speaker A: Bye. [00:25:58] Speaker B: If you want a good time. [00:25:59] Speaker A: All right. [00:25:59] Speaker B: Okay, bye. [00:26:02] Speaker C: I have to kill him now. [00:26:03] Speaker B: That's how many fingers he has. And then he turns back towards someone and keeps talking. Okay. Is it tricky pause. You walk up to the serpentine lady, and she turns, and she just, like, you know, she finishes with you. And you see the person who walks up to her is this, like, muscular woman, tall, lean. She has like an axe in her hand, the blade has been broken off of, and she is beat. Crap. And she just. She just leans in and says, please. [00:26:40] Speaker F: I can't, I can't, I can't. It's the second one I've lost. Pay or die. [00:26:49] Speaker B: And so the woman just. [00:26:53] Speaker F: I gotta make rent. [00:26:54] Speaker B: And the Yuansi woman just puts a hand on a hilt, and the really large human woman just nods and hands over a bag. Tears roll down her face, and then she turns around and walks out of the building. And the Yuanzi woman turns to you. [00:27:09] Speaker F: Yes, you. [00:27:13] Speaker E: I want to fight. This is my first time here. What's the la like? What's this place's like? [00:27:18] Speaker B: Deal. [00:27:19] Speaker E: Like, what's. How does this work? [00:27:21] Speaker F: I summon something. You fight it. We have three fights left tonight. [00:27:31] Speaker E: I'll jump on that. What kind of stuff can you summon? [00:27:34] Speaker F: Do you want to fight in bad, worse. Worse or worst? [00:27:45] Speaker E: Let's do worst. [00:27:48] Speaker F: Excellent. Now, I'm not responsible for what happens to you. Understood? [00:27:56] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah, that's okay. [00:27:58] Speaker F: Excellent. This is the deal. [00:28:01] Speaker B: And she pulls out a little dagger from, like, part of the. Only part of the. Oh, my goodness. I just named the leather strap that goes across Baldrick. She pulls out a little dagger, and she cuts her palm at this section with. The scales are heavily scarred. Cuts it, and she says, this is the deal. [00:28:21] Speaker F: You win, you take 10%. You lose, you get nothing. [00:28:30] Speaker E: How much is. Okay? Can I do an insight check to see if this is a fair deal or if she's trying to play me. [00:28:35] Speaker B: For being a beginner? Sure, sure. Oh, actually, I'm sorry, that's not what she says. [00:28:42] Speaker F: She says if you win, you pay 10%. If you lose, you pay one. [00:28:48] Speaker B: That's what she says. [00:28:49] Speaker E: If I win, I pay 10%. If I no gain. [00:28:53] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Landon, I'm having a seizure and I'm sorry. Sorry. If you win, you gain 10%, you pay one. So sorry. So sorry. That's what she says. [00:29:02] Speaker E: What does he want? [00:29:03] Speaker B: 1%. [00:29:04] Speaker A: 1% of the bets. [00:29:07] Speaker B: Of the pot? Yeah, the bets, yeah. [00:29:09] Speaker E: Okay. How much is the pot? [00:29:14] Speaker B: Normally it varies. [00:29:18] Speaker F: You find out when you lose. [00:29:20] Speaker E: Okay. [00:29:21] Speaker F: Or when you win. [00:29:22] Speaker E: I got a 21, but don't worry. [00:29:24] Speaker F: Half of the people who lose die and don't pay. [00:29:27] Speaker B: 22. Uh, not trying to deceive you. This is genuinely how it works. [00:29:37] Speaker E: Oh, okay. [00:29:37] Speaker B: She seems very straightforward. [00:29:39] Speaker E: I shake her hand. [00:29:41] Speaker B: Okay. Um. She hands you the knife. First. [00:29:47] Speaker E: I cut my hand, and I shake it. [00:29:49] Speaker B: Okay. As you do, the green blood pours out. And when she shakes her hand. Boz, your hands. Your hands sting. And she goes, and she pulls her hand back. Some of her blood is smoking and evaporating, and she goes. All right, where she is, her dagger. [00:30:15] Speaker F: You're in. Hey, do you want to be announced or no? [00:30:20] Speaker E: Yeah, you can announce me. You can call me Boz. Is Boz all right? [00:30:30] Speaker B: She turns away and immediately runs into Ro, who's walking up to her. [00:30:35] Speaker A: Yeah, I was gonna say, I figured I saw Landon there. Or pause there. I didn't see Landon there. [00:30:41] Speaker F: Do you want to fight? [00:30:43] Speaker A: Um. She looks over at boss. [00:30:45] Speaker E: You can fight together. Could we, like, fight? [00:30:48] Speaker A: Wait, could we fight together? Could we fight, like a duo? We could still take 10% used to fighting together. Yeah, we'll still do the. What if we did 15%? [00:31:02] Speaker E: No, come on. That's not cool is how it works. [00:31:05] Speaker A: Well, if it would be, 20% of both of us won. [00:31:08] Speaker B: Oz, you watch as her left hand lazily drifts to the hilt of her blade, and she says. [00:31:14] Speaker F: Worst fights alone. Okay. [00:31:19] Speaker A: Okay. [00:31:21] Speaker F: Do you want to fight in bad or worse? [00:31:25] Speaker A: Um, I'll do. Wait. Um, dm. Can I look over to the. To the pit? It's like a pit or whatever, right? [00:31:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:31:36] Speaker A: Is there. I remember at the blood bowl, there were, like, clerics or guards there in case someone got hurt. [00:31:43] Speaker B: Not there. [00:31:45] Speaker A: Yeah, that's what I figured. I think Ro didn't fight in the blood bowl, so. Rose. Good. She's gonna say, um, I'll do the bad for now, after she looks over at the. [00:31:58] Speaker B: Had. [00:31:58] Speaker F: Maybe fought with a partner. [00:32:01] Speaker A: Oh, but do you. I don't have to. Boss wouldn't want to fight again, so. Wait, I can't. I can't decide to do it by myself. I'd prefer if you want. [00:32:19] Speaker F: Absolutely. [00:32:21] Speaker B: She smiles. She pulls out a dagger. Okay, shake. She cuts the same spot again. Okay. She hands you the knife. [00:32:31] Speaker A: I, uh. I would say ro kinda wipes it on her sleeve. [00:32:35] Speaker B: Wipes it off. [00:32:36] Speaker A: Yeah. And then she cuts. [00:32:39] Speaker B: Okay. Uh, she. She shakes. Ro, your hand stings. She. Her hiss is sharper this time. And she. [00:32:48] Speaker A: Oh, sorry. [00:32:49] Speaker F: Are you all. [00:32:50] Speaker B: And you all watch as her blood is smoking and, like, is that not normal? Evaporating. [00:32:54] Speaker A: That wasn't you who did that. [00:32:56] Speaker B: She reached it for the knife and pulls it back. [00:32:57] Speaker A: Okay. [00:33:00] Speaker B: Puts it in the sheath. [00:33:01] Speaker F: You win, you get ten you lose, you pay one. [00:33:07] Speaker A: Okay, can I make. Can. Can I make a bed right now on him? Are we allowed to make bed? [00:33:13] Speaker B: He's slithering away. And she turns around and coils back on herself so that her bottom is still facing away and her top is facing toward you, and she says, that's fine. [00:33:21] Speaker F: Okay, what do you wager? [00:33:23] Speaker A: I'd like to put three platinum on balls. [00:33:29] Speaker B: You say that out loud. And ten people around you shut up and look over her eyebrows, which she doesn't have eyebrows. Her brow raises, and she says, I. [00:33:38] Speaker E: Have to pay 10%. I have to pay the pot. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Well, balls. You're gonna win. Okay. [00:33:44] Speaker B: All right. She reaches out to dark. She reaches out her hand for. [00:33:51] Speaker A: Oh, I give it to her. [00:33:53] Speaker B: Okay, you do. Everyone's just staring at ro o. [00:34:01] Speaker A: Does she ask me how I want to be introduced? [00:34:04] Speaker B: Oh, sorry. Yes. [00:34:05] Speaker F: And how would you like to be introduced, big spender? [00:34:08] Speaker A: Uh, row in a grain bottle. And she says it, like, loudly. She's feeling cocky. [00:34:15] Speaker B: And a bunch of people. A bunch of people shut up and turn around and look at you and stare. And then people are whispering and talking back. At first, she furrows her brow, and she says, interesting. And then she just slithers away. And it's that when Rose says, rowan, a green bottle, that a whisper is breaking out across the room, and people are speaking with each other. [00:34:37] Speaker A: I look at Buzz and I say, buzz. I just. Just so that we know I have a diamond and Greta has a diamond. [00:34:46] Speaker E: Who can cast or vivify? [00:34:48] Speaker A: Well, I can. And Greta, can you have it prepped? I always have it. [00:34:54] Speaker B: Me too. [00:34:55] Speaker E: I gotta catch it as well. [00:34:58] Speaker A: What is. Mike. Mike, you're muted. [00:35:02] Speaker C: I'm not. [00:35:05] Speaker E: I don't know what Zach's question was. [00:35:08] Speaker A: What? Oh, you're not muted. I just couldn't hear you. [00:35:11] Speaker E: What was your question? Can you hear me? [00:35:16] Speaker B: Holy crap. Barbarians can cast revivify. [00:35:19] Speaker A: He's not a barbarian, pal. [00:35:22] Speaker B: You know what I'm trying to say. I can't speak english. [00:35:24] Speaker A: We lost you, micah. [00:35:30] Speaker B: Wow. Paladins can cast rivify. I didn't realize. [00:35:35] Speaker A: I guess that makes sense, because they're kind of like a cleric, and Craig. [00:35:39] Speaker B: Has third level spell slots. Okay, so half this party can cast revivify. That's actually. The whole party can roll to the first fight up. Also, listeners, quick check in. Micah and abby have quietly stepped out for it being really late, and they're sleepy, but. So we're gonna. Just for expectations, we're gonna wrap the episode up with a rogue combat and then we'll resume with the next episode, which will be more house of hat, which is fun because it's more comfortable. [00:36:08] Speaker A: Her row combat. [00:36:11] Speaker E: Oh, this is a first. [00:36:13] Speaker B: We've never had a solo row combat. Thank you. Also, jackie, just really quickly for the battle map. So can you see where the crease in the table is? [00:36:22] Speaker A: The crease in the table is what? Maybe I'm stupid of where it is. [00:36:28] Speaker B: Sorry, my arms are short. [00:36:29] Speaker A: It's at the very end. Yeah, I can see it. Yeah. [00:36:33] Speaker B: Yeah. That's the start of the pit. The pit is huge. So everything else, all the other clear, immediate squares. And there's no features. Like, it's just one big square stone pit with a six foot drop on every side, because this is where they would dump the salt in and, like, pull it back out of. So it's just one big reservoir and it's all uniformly shaped, and then it's got the force field around it. [00:36:56] Speaker A: Yeah, okay. Yeah, okay. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Sick. [00:36:59] Speaker A: Did I jump in? There's no ladder. I'm guessing there isn't. [00:37:04] Speaker B: And you do remember it's called the house of pain, so you don't have to just. I'll obviously queue it up. But basically, as you all, like, get done fighting with the, you, Auntie lady, whose name we don't know, as she's slithering away from you all, she says. [00:37:21] Speaker F: It is good that you all are participating. We've just lost our last contestant to injuries. [00:37:28] Speaker B: And at that, she slithers away. And you will notice that there's no real clear podium stand, but what there is is they've taken one of the beams that has fallen through the roof and wedged it against a wall so that it sits at a harsh angle. And she just coils up it because she can climb with her scales. And as she coils up it slowly, she rises till she's about, like, 10ft above everyone else in the room. And then her neck, that hood flares out. And from underneath the hood, these red symbols flash on either side just really quickly, like, with red light. And you all notice the symbol is, like a dark red with a sort of, like, haunting hue to it. And her voice flares out and that, like, hiss echoes. Like, she thaumaturgically increased it, like, and the entire place gets quiet and only the musicians are still playing for, like, tone. Actually, you know what? Musicians stop. That'll help attention too. So the musicians cut out, and I really appreciate that. Kenku fades the music slightly every time. So she coils up onto the platform and she says, welcome to the House of pain. [00:38:45] Speaker F: We thought we were out of fights tonight. [00:38:47] Speaker B: And there's a murmur around the crowd, and you can hear people getting excited, like, oh, okay, there's gonna be more. And people start jostling coins and speaking with each other. And the room, which is already, like, there's. If there's a maximum capacity on this building, it's pushing it now. And 20 or 30 people filter more in from outside, being like, oh, okay, okay. There's more fighting, and people are just climbing up on top of barrels. A couple of people put other people on their shoulders. You get the feeling that, like, the vibe here is very much like, yeah, we don't care if you have seating or if you can see, like, that's up to you. And people are, like, jostling and putting, pushing each other. And, ro, as you stand at the edge of the pit, like, kind of queued up there to fight, you recognize there are some bloodstains at the edge, like, right where you could view. And you realize, I guess maybe people have fallen in in the past, but so, basically, like, you know, if you're in the pit, that's your problem. Yeah. And because you notice that everyone watching, everyone's crowding together to see, but nobody will get within a foot of the edge. There's just, like, no one will get closer. And as she coils up, or, no, she's already coiled up. As she's speaking to the crowd, she says, her voice kind of still thaumaturgically booming. [00:40:00] Speaker F: She says, we have first contestant, and she is a fun guy. [00:40:09] Speaker B: And the whole room roars and cheers, and there's two booze, for whatever reason, just haters gonna hate and, you know, potatoes gonna potate. But the majority of the room erupts into roaring. And, ro, you watch as she clearly has a couple workers. They're really tough looking people, and they're collecting additional bets. The fact that you guys have done some name dropping is really gonna charge up how much people are betting here. Okay. [00:40:40] Speaker F: And she says, first is progeny of the legendary bard. [00:40:45] Speaker B: I'm sorry, Maya. I'm sorry. I accidentally stepped on Maya. I didn't know she was at my foot. [00:40:50] Speaker F: She says, promotionary of the legend bard Rowena green bottle. [00:40:57] Speaker B: And she just gestures with her tail toward the pit as her hands rise up demonstratively. And the room roars and cheers, and a bunch of strangers, you have no idea, start clapping you on the back and shaking you. Somebody just shoves a tankard into your hand. You just finished one, okay? You take a people roar and cheer more I mean, the legend precedes you. [00:41:19] Speaker A: Um, yeah, I'm at the edge of the pit, right? So I'm guessing she's wanting me to get in the pit. [00:41:26] Speaker B: She hasn't queued for it yet, but you can assume that would be happening at some point. Maybe. Now, up to you. [00:41:31] Speaker A: I I'm gonna be a little bit of a showmanship. Have a little bit of showmanship. And I'm gonna play on my loot like a little. I like. It would sound like our wonder woman esque battle music, you know, that we do. And I'm going to actually, when I do that, I'm gonna cast, um, I'm gonna use up a spell slot because it's probably bad, but I'm gonna do it anyways. I'm gonna cast polymorph on myself, and I'm gonna turn into my bat that I normally turn into. And I'm gonna circle the pit and then land down in the center and then turn back into row row, make. [00:42:15] Speaker B: A performance check at advantage. [00:42:16] Speaker A: Okay? [00:42:17] Speaker B: So you play that, um, on the lead. It's like as the magic flares out, you just turn into the fruit bat. And as you do, the crowd roars and you take laps around it. And as you do, the crowd is cheering. And as you land to the ground, it's like a full three point superhero land crashing out of the transformation. And the purple mist just pours out around you. I mean, real, like entering onto the rock stage. Pop star. [00:42:43] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:42:44] Speaker B: And I got a twin that's. Bro, that's freaking sick. The crowd loses their crap. And you watch as people start running. Tibet. People are in on this. And the yuan Ti woman continues and she says, the house of pain brings. [00:43:09] Speaker F: You once, warriors of the. Well, now fun guy. All is held here. [00:43:17] Speaker B: And the crowd chants and a chant is starting to break out that says, doggoth killer. Doggoth killer. And people are stomping and clapping. And she says, how let there. And she, she reaches, you realize where she's coiled up on this beam. She's just outside of that, like, sort of dimensional space you can infer is made by that barrier. She reaches her hand, her left arm past the bars. I mean, there's no barrier, but you can assume there's a force barrier of some sort, some sort of an abjuration, some sort of wall of force, if you will. And she reaches her hand for it. [00:43:57] Speaker F: And she says, let there be pain. [00:44:01] Speaker B: And then she starts tracing her fingers through the air, drawing out little symbols. And she does those gemstones light up. They light up on her gauntlet. And all of this blood starts pouring from her palm. Her eyes roll back, and a little bit of blood pours out of the edges of her mouth as she whispers. And there's this, like, this, like, red light pulls out on her fist, and then she crushes it. And as she does. Yeah, go ahead, ro. [00:44:25] Speaker A: Oh, I was just gonna ask as a player, if I could do. I mean, I know we're about to start combat, but if I could do an arcana, what is her class like? I'm just curious what she is. Do I get. [00:44:37] Speaker B: It's gonna be a high check, but go ahead and try. [00:44:39] Speaker A: Arcana, right? Yeah, that was a nat 20. [00:44:43] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. [00:44:44] Speaker A: And it's Arcana, so that's a 31. [00:44:56] Speaker B: Well, hopefully combat goes as well. I mean, obviously class is not, like. [00:45:04] Speaker A: A thing, but, I mean, a barbarian. [00:45:07] Speaker B: Is not even really a class. It's just, like, that's a warrior who's strong and gets mad. But the casters certainly have definition, right? You put together. Okay, this person seems to have some innate abilities, so you bet there's some sorcery here, but also some aspects of this are getting kind of warlocky. She's a. She's a Zorgi boy warlock. [00:45:33] Speaker A: Oh, I wondered about the red. Now I'm scared. [00:45:39] Speaker B: And as she twists and writhes her palm. [00:45:48] Speaker A: He really hates his husband. [00:45:50] Speaker B: This little shock of red light appears at the top of the chamber, and there's just this sudden pour of thick, red fluid down into the middle of the house of pain. And we're gonna go ahead and put you on the map. [00:46:05] Speaker A: Yay. Wait, Landon, we did a blood with a sworky for warlock. [00:46:15] Speaker E: We did. [00:46:19] Speaker A: I'm worried. I'm nervous. [00:46:28] Speaker B: So the blood falls down into the center. [00:46:33] Speaker A: Which one is which? Because they kind of look the same on my screen. I'm sorry. Gotta love goddess. [00:46:43] Speaker B: Yeah, they do. Is that better? [00:46:45] Speaker A: Yes. [00:46:47] Speaker B: Okay. And you can make it the. You can make it the biggest one. Yeah, you can. [00:46:52] Speaker F: Okay. [00:46:58] Speaker A: Christian memes in the chat right now. [00:47:03] Speaker B: Is that sonic for Jesus? I don't know. I feel like somehow we're making God sad. So, bro, as the thick blood fluid falls into the center of the room, the blood falls and. Sorry, the last one. The last one was sonic holding a Bible saying, the Lord does not consent. Okay, anywho. [00:47:34] Speaker F: Oh, my goodness. [00:47:40] Speaker B: And where the blood falls in the center of the chamber, ro, you watch it separate. So the blood splatters down into the middle, and the crowd gets really hushed, and leans in and Boz, you're somewhere at the periphery and can see. And Greta and Craig are not far off. And the yuan t woman just hisses. [00:48:05] Speaker F: No one can help you now. [00:48:08] Speaker B: And as the blood falls, it starts solidifying and being absorbed by that salt. But then it moves, and the red, the dark red adheres, and a thinner color lifts up and begins whirling and lifting out. And a water elemental separates as the water is pulled away from the iron and hemoglobin and all the other structures in the blood, but it still has tinges of that red blood in it in this amorphous form of sort of like this, like, swirling central column with vagueness, falling and reassembling appendages and these, these general gaping features of, like, eye sockets and a mouth just falling and forming and disappearing, begin swirling in front of you. And, ro, could you roll initiative? [00:49:07] Speaker A: Yes, I could, but I won't. No, I'm just kidding. [00:49:13] Speaker B: I could, but I'm not gonna. [00:49:16] Speaker A: Okay. Actually, that's not bad for what I usually have. That is gana Bay an 18. [00:49:25] Speaker B: That's gonna be me. There's another combat song I wanted to hear, but that's fine. This is a good one. Okay. You said 18 row. [00:49:39] Speaker A: Yes, I did. [00:49:40] Speaker F: Excellent. [00:49:46] Speaker B: Okay. And it got not bad. Okay. Um, ro? [00:49:56] Speaker A: Yes? [00:49:56] Speaker B: We're up first. What are you doing? [00:49:59] Speaker A: Uh, I'm going to, um. I I want to, I'm gonna do like, as, like a little whatever you call it, like the little thing, like how, you know, when you yell or what I call my, I'm gonna, like, I'm playing into this. I'm gonna raise my hands and get the crowd to cheer or whatever. [00:50:25] Speaker B: Okay. I mean, they're, they're going nuts. The crowd is screaming. [00:50:29] Speaker A: And I'm going to, um, the song that it's gonna sound like when I cast is gonna be kind of like, I'm thinking of like, when you're at a football game and it's like, we will, we will. [00:50:46] Speaker B: Never be stomping and clapping. [00:50:48] Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm gonna cast, I don't know if this is gonna work on them, but I'm gonna cast a shatter. Okay. Do it at the, do it at third level. Um, and just, yeah, it's gonna be like gold and purple, um, coming at like, lightning going, swirling around me and then coming at it. And, like, as it swirls, as it squirrel, squirrels. [00:51:18] Speaker B: Swirls as it squirrels. [00:51:20] Speaker A: Um, like, I, like a little bit of dust, like, comes up around me. [00:51:24] Speaker B: Heck yeah. So, Ro is you as you bing bing bong bing bing bing bong. And the crowd, like, the crowd is going wild. And boz, many people here are into it, but there is a guy rough in middle age, and looks like life has worn him to your right, boss. Just on his knees, kneeling in front of the battle arena. Arm out, like at. Like a fan at a Taylor Swift concert, crying. And he has peed a little bit, just screaming, ro, I love you. And as Ro is playing it, there's this, just this. And as the lightning flies outward and courses along the ground, all of this, like, salt powder, is, like, kicked up into the air. And it's for it finally, like, all the. All the lightning cracks around the creature and go ahead and roll damage for me, bro. And is it a constitution saving throw? [00:52:20] Speaker A: No, it's not. No, it's. Oh, it is constitution. I'm sorry, I was reading the wrong thing. [00:52:26] Speaker B: It's okay. I rolled in that one. [00:52:27] Speaker A: Oh, man. So they're gonna take four d, eight of my damage, which is going to be. [00:52:37] Speaker B: Is it bloody damage? Force damage. [00:52:39] Speaker A: It's thunder damage. [00:52:41] Speaker B: Thunder damage. Oh, right, I forget. That's a type. [00:52:44] Speaker A: Yeah. It's so weird. It's gonna be 14 points of thunder damage. [00:52:54] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. The shockwave just rattles the creature, and a bunch of the water falls off, and some of it pulls back up to the creature and it regains form, but a portion of it falls away, and you can see just slightly. It looks. It looks a little harmed. It looks a little. A little lessened. Is that everything for your turn? I'm just checking. [00:53:19] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna give bardic inspiration to that guy. Crying. [00:53:23] Speaker B: Okay. You just turn around and wink at him, and he just goes. You turn around and wink, and he goes. And he just throws up and then goes back to crying. And he's. He's just sitting there like on all fours now, leaning over, sobbing, just going, have you seen him in an alley, perhaps? Have you? Sure. You would have let out your strange misha. Poor little. [00:53:53] Speaker A: Poor guy. [00:53:53] Speaker B: Okay, on the water elementals, turn. [00:53:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:53:59] Speaker B: It is going to 1 second. Okay, ro, it rushes towards you, and it's very unsettling because it essentially just melts it just to the ground and all the. All the water, which is at this point, just kind of like a yellowy red because it's lost most of the blood platelets, but it's still got some bound up in Ithoodae from how it was summoned. Just rush across the floor toward you, and as it gets to you, it's gonna try and hit with two slam attacks. [00:54:37] Speaker A: Okay. [00:54:41] Speaker B: Those are not great rolls. The first one's an 18 to hit. [00:54:46] Speaker A: Yeah, it's gonna hit. [00:54:47] Speaker B: Okay, the second one's a ten. [00:54:50] Speaker A: Yeah, that's not gonna hit. [00:54:51] Speaker B: Okay, so the first one is, it bursts up towards your row. It just explodes up outward. And how do you dodge out of the way of one of the attacks? [00:55:00] Speaker A: I think she kind of. I think she does kind of a neo thing and kind of, you know, bends backwards. [00:55:10] Speaker B: So, ro, it's sick. You, like, lean backward and catch yourself on an arm so that it just bursts up over you and misses you. And as you feel really sick for a moment, you catch yourself on an arm. It's an amorphous form, slams down the other side of you. It just wraps up around your arm, and your body lifts you. So you, like, catch yourself backward, and then find yourself being lifted straight up. And then it lifts you up and just slams you face first back into the floor. And you take 19 points of bludgeoning damage. I rolled high on damage. [00:55:42] Speaker A: Ew. [00:55:44] Speaker B: And row. As you hit the ground, you bust your lip, and all the salt gets in it and starts burning. And you feel your nose go, and you feel the hot liquid spurt down your face. Your nose broken, and you busted your lip quite lovely. It's not like a grievous wounds thing, but, you know. Okay, that is the water. And monsters turn. It's yours. This is the nice thing about one. [00:56:09] Speaker A: Person caught that weird doing, like. Right. [00:56:13] Speaker B: I also know it's tough because I know half your abilities are built around, like, utility and support. So. [00:56:19] Speaker A: Yeah, I was just trying to be, you know, fun, but. [00:56:30] Speaker B: This is very winnable. It's gonna be tough, but it's very winnable. [00:56:35] Speaker A: Sorry, I was looking at. I was looking at a story. [00:56:41] Speaker B: And a lot of new stuff. [00:56:42] Speaker A: Yeah. And I have new spells, so I'm like, should I use them or not? You know? Um. Oh, they're right there, aren't they? They're right in front of me. I forgot about that. [00:56:53] Speaker B: It's also tough when you can't wait for someone else's turn to. [00:56:56] Speaker A: I know. That's why I was like. I was looking up stuff, but it's like. Hold on. I'm so sorry. I know you're like a. Hurry, hurry, hurry. [00:57:04] Speaker B: No, it's okay. His boss doing anything from the sideline? [00:57:11] Speaker E: He's cheering for row. [00:57:14] Speaker A: Okay, okay. I'm gonna just. Just switch it up. Okay. Just to witch it up, I am going to cast desonant whispers. [00:57:28] Speaker B: Okay. At. [00:57:33] Speaker A: I don't know. I'm gonna cast it at third level. [00:57:39] Speaker B: All right? [00:57:42] Speaker A: And it's gonna be really, like. It's gonna be, like, creepy. Like, it's gonna be, like, siren sounds coming out of her as she casts it. Like, maybe. Well, no, maybe it'll be kind of like that. And it's just like, I want it to be so piercing through the sound of the crowd that it, like, kind of makes people stop a second, and it's a wisdom saving throw. [00:58:05] Speaker B: This thing is not wise, Jackie. I'm not kidding. My second nat won. [00:58:12] Speaker A: Are you serious? [00:58:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:58:17] Speaker A: So I casted at level three, right? [00:58:20] Speaker C: I said that. [00:58:22] Speaker A: So that's gonna be for d six. Psychic damage. [00:58:29] Speaker B: Okay, roll. And is it just the damage, or is there any additional effect? [00:58:37] Speaker A: It must immediately use its reaction, if available, to move as far as its speed allows, away from you. The creature doesn't move into obviously dangerous ground, such as fire pit. On a successful save, it was not successful, so I don't need to read that. Not very good at all. Yikes. That's only seven points of psychic damage. [00:59:01] Speaker B: Okay, but which is still. I mean, damage is damage. So first, let's focus on this ro. As you bing. Bing. Bidding, bidding, bidding. You just. And as it rings outward, like, the crowd is cheering, and then the call, like, echoes. And what it does is it, like, deep magic echoes. So it's like. And the voices, like, fold in over themselves, and it becomes deafening. And also, like, quiet. Like, it's less that your voice gets so loud, and it's, like, all other sound just disappears, and everyone becomes, like, every, like, jaws drop, and everyone gets quiet. As you are, the. And as you do, all of the loose salt in the area just, like, vibrates off the ground and moves around the arena lately vibrated by it. And as you do, the creature, like, sort of, like, shakes through, and as it shakes, like, some of the water falls away, and then you watch its mouth gape open, and it just gets away from you as fast as it can. That means you get an attack of opportunity with that rapier that you have literally never used. [01:00:09] Speaker A: I'm gonna do it. [01:00:11] Speaker B: 111 episodes in. We are using the rapier. [01:00:15] Speaker A: I think I took it out one time for fun. I forgot how to do it. [01:00:24] Speaker B: You rolled a hit with dexterity. [01:00:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:00:27] Speaker B: Dexterity and proficiency. Because you are proficient. [01:00:30] Speaker A: Yes. So that is gonna be, um. The roll to hit is gonna be. [01:00:41] Speaker B: 1414 just hits. [01:00:47] Speaker A: Okay. And damage. Correct. [01:00:51] Speaker B: Is gonna be eight plus decks. [01:00:53] Speaker A: Yes, I do. [01:00:54] Speaker B: These are great weapons. [01:00:55] Speaker A: I knew that. Oh, I rolled a seven. So that's gonna be b. [01:01:00] Speaker B: It's got my n eight. Which. [01:01:07] Speaker A: How does that. How does that even happen? [01:01:10] Speaker B: Do you have a plus one index? [01:01:13] Speaker A: No, I do. No, it's an eight. [01:01:15] Speaker B: Okay. [01:01:16] Speaker A: Because it's seven plus one. No, I'm saying. I didn't mean it like that. I meant, like, I. Like. I just think it's silly sounding. Like, I took a rapier and was like, I'm putting it into the water. [01:01:26] Speaker B: You're disrupting its form. So as you. As you. As you make the call and it starts darting away, you just, like, in one fluid motion, you push the loop behind yourself. And as you push the loot back on the strap, with that same hand, you grab the hilt of your rapier and deftly proving Boz. So. Boz. And tell us. So very wrong after all these months, you just whip it out. As you do, you cut away one of the arms, and the water falls to the ground. And some of it moves back toward itself to reform, but some of it is absorbed by the salt and gets separated, and the creature moves as far away as it can. Now it's its turn, so it has to use its movement to just. It rushes, and then it just rushes straight back. Does it have to stay away from you, or can it return? [01:02:14] Speaker A: No, it doesn't have to stay. [01:02:16] Speaker B: Okay. It's just gonna rush right back. [01:02:18] Speaker A: Yeah, I figured. [01:02:26] Speaker B: It's okay. It's hilarious. It's like you're in a wave pool of death. So it just rushes right back, and it's gonna try and roll to hit twice. Jeez, these rolls. 14 doesn't hit. [01:02:38] Speaker A: 14 does hit. [01:02:42] Speaker B: Ah, well, that's true. You have a lot of other things. So 14 hits, and then the second one's a 20. So this time, when it rushes at your row, you start to step back to get out of its way. Not in that 20, just a dirty 20. So as it rushes at you, it comes straight at you, and you start to step out of the way, and then the form splits apart and reconverges, slamming into the middle. It's going to deal. Those are some bad rolls. 611, then. Plus, also not great rolls. 617. Okay. As it rushes back together, the first half slams up to the like to the bottom of you, so you begin to buckle sideways, so your world tilts suddenly as your legs are harshly cut out from under you. As you go slamming toward the floor, the second half comes back around, gets under you, and then just back over you, over the top. So you go, bam. Like, you tilt first, suddenly to the right. And then are thrown suddenly to the left. And as your head slams into the floor, you see a flash of white light and your ears ring, and the world is spinning around you for a second, and you've been concussed. [01:03:57] Speaker A: Well, that's nuts. [01:03:58] Speaker B: Cool. [01:03:59] Speaker A: That's not nice. So what is that? Does that, is that in, what does that mean? Like, does that affect. If you're concuss? [01:04:10] Speaker B: It's just, it's just, it's just flavoring. And you take 21 points of damage. [01:04:15] Speaker A: Ooh. How. What kind of damage? [01:04:19] Speaker B: Bludgeoning. Bludgeoning is the type it can deal. [01:04:24] Speaker A: Okay. I had to do my ass. Okay. Is that. Is that. [01:04:33] Speaker B: That is its turn. It's your turn. [01:04:38] Speaker A: What does it look like? Like, it's not. It's not bloodied or anything yet, right? [01:04:47] Speaker B: It looks a little rough. [01:04:48] Speaker A: Looks a little rough. Okay. Okay. [01:04:55] Speaker B: There's a complication here because your character is very built around support, but it's interesting to watch you play it from a different angle. [01:05:02] Speaker A: Well, I kind of have a thing I want to do, but I was trying to decide if I should hold off on it or if I should just do it. But I'm. I'm down a little bit, so maybe I just do it. I don't know. Um, Rose gonna stand back up, gonna steady herself. [01:05:23] Speaker B: Okay. [01:05:28] Speaker A: And I think concussed wise, she's a little dizzy. The room's a little spinny. But I think she's gonna look up to the crowd. She's. She's enjoying the performance aspect of this. She's having a little bit of fun. Maybe. Maybe she's being a little cocky, but she looks up to the crowd, and she holds her hands up, and she holds the suit up with it. [01:05:50] Speaker B: You eat yourself up off the ground, bleeding from here, and you're just. And the crowd's all concerned. And then they. I mean, they are eating it up. [01:05:59] Speaker A: And I don't know if they can even hear me, but I say, are you ready for another song? [01:06:10] Speaker B: People are screaming and cheering. Some of the crowd members are supporting you just by cursing the most foul insults they can think of at the elemental. People are cheering for you. [01:06:24] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna cast. It's gonna be weird and haunting. And I want to say. I'm saying what it. What the song is gonna be first. [01:06:33] Speaker B: Sure, sure. [01:06:34] Speaker A: It's gonna sound like. Tell me if this is okay with what the, what I wanted to kind of sound like a weird, haunting, creepy, like, but intense version of, like, with notes of, like, what the old song sounded like. When I, when I was trying to kind of play it. [01:07:03] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:07:04] Speaker A: And I'm gonna cast, this is the first time I've cast this. And this is the first time I've cast the 6th level spell. I'm gonna cast cry of the old song at 6th level. And I wanted to be so haunting and creepy and just weird voices out of my mouth like it's still cry, the old song, like, I want it. If you want to flavor it. Cause you know it better. [01:07:29] Speaker B: But yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. [01:07:31] Speaker A: Yeah. That's what I would like to do. And it's a wisdom saving throw. [01:07:36] Speaker B: Not only is this the first time you're ever casting this, this is the first time this spell has ever been cast. No one's ever cast it for 1 second. [01:07:49] Speaker E: Daki, is that a 7th level spell or a 6th level spell? [01:07:52] Speaker A: It's a six level spell. It says 7th level. I checked with him when I took it. Yeah, he said it was a typo. [01:07:59] Speaker E: I think I remember that too. [01:08:00] Speaker A: Yeah, it's 78. [01:08:13] Speaker B: Sorry about that. An alarm went off, and then the alarm going off somehow magically made my phone turn its volume on. Okay, so let's start one thing first. That's a five on the wisdom save. So we're gonna deal. Okay, so rock, hold on. I'm sorry. If you guys could talk for a second. I'm gonna have to figure the phone situation out. It's producing audio. Give me just 1 second. [01:08:50] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So that's gonna be 78 worth of psychic damage and your allies. So, Landon, I would like it to be that because it says your allies are emboldened by the mighty song and become immune to the frightened and charmed conditions and resistant to psychic damage for the next hour. [01:09:20] Speaker E: Wow. [01:09:22] Speaker A: So crazy spell is that. Am I allowed to, since I'm in the pit, am I allowed to do that to Boz and Craig since they're. [01:09:30] Speaker B: Gonna fight, that means that all your allies gain that condition. So you guys can go ahead and record that. [01:09:36] Speaker A: They also gain three d, eight temporary. [01:09:38] Speaker B: Hit points which will carry to the next episode. So go ahead and make note of that. [01:09:44] Speaker A: Frightened and charmed, you're immune to frightened and charmed and resistant to psychic damage for the next hour. [01:10:03] Speaker B: So, ro, with the old song, as you play it, you just, it's a very simple chord progression, a very simple tune. You start playing, but as you play it faster and faster, the rapid vibration of the notes of your lute begin, like, harmonizing in with themselves and reverberating back and forth. And this one, singular, these, like, deep minor notes just begin, like, folding in on themselves and reverberating. It's like a track being, like, laid over itself in syncopated time signatures. But instead of forming a mess, it forms this really elaborate interweave of, like, inner working, like bars. It's so hard to explain, but as it echoes back and forth, the room reverberates, and the reverberation continues and builds, and the walls begin very lightly, humming with the same tune, because in a way that ro can't understand, as you play to the song that influences the structure of this reality, you are. You are creating a convergent harmonic frequency with the atoms that make up this place. So the be. So, like, as you're playing, the building begins, and so people are like, yeah. And then everyone gets really quiet, and he's stunned, looking around. And the snake woman coiled is just. Her eyes are wide, looking around, and, like, people begin, like, falling to their knees because their internal structures are reverberating with the song you're playing. As you do when it haunts them, like, someone starts crying, you are, like, affecting them. And as you play, you just finally, just as you bring out that last chord, everything. And you vibrate the salt so that it lifts and then just floats in the air for a second until it falls down and the creature shakes and then just explodes and then has to reform back together, trying to connect. And Boz and Craig and Greta are emboldened. How much damage do you deal, ro? [01:12:37] Speaker A: 30 points of psychic damage. [01:12:40] Speaker B: Is that a rogue record? [01:12:42] Speaker A: It might be. [01:12:49] Speaker B: Hold on, I gotta write that down, bro. I believe that's your campaign damage record. So as you. As you. You play that last chord back, the creature just. And pulls itself back together, and it's half its overall mass. It's desiccated, it's bloody. And do you gain healing from that? [01:13:17] Speaker A: I don't think so. No, no. [01:13:18] Speaker B: It's all the other benefits to your allies. [01:13:20] Speaker A: The allied creatures gain three d, eight temporary hit points. [01:13:23] Speaker B: Okay, well, you got this thing looking, Rolf. So pulled back together. The crowd is enraptured, but they're no longer cheering. Their performance is too impactful for that now. [01:13:36] Speaker F: You know what I mean? [01:13:39] Speaker B: It's past them being like, this is cool. And more than being like, what's happening here? The creature's gonna try and attack you twice again. Okay, bad roll. Oh. 14 just hits. [01:13:52] Speaker A: Yep. [01:13:52] Speaker B: Jackie, I'm so sorry. [01:13:54] Speaker A: It's okay. [01:13:55] Speaker B: 14 and a 13. [01:13:57] Speaker A: Oh, man. [01:14:00] Speaker B: The first one, I rolled high. Second one, Jackie. I rolled high. You need to heal yourself. But you also have to deal damage. It's hard to be on your own. [01:14:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:14:12] Speaker B: So the first one is 15 damage. [01:14:17] Speaker A: Okay. [01:14:18] Speaker B: And the second one is 17 damage. [01:14:27] Speaker A: Okay. I can handle that. [01:14:29] Speaker B: You doing okay? [01:14:30] Speaker A: I'm doing okay. Hold on. Let me do a little mathy maths here. So that's 32 total, right? [01:14:38] Speaker B: Yes. [01:14:40] Speaker A: Oh, man. Okay, well, I am blown. Bloodied. [01:14:45] Speaker B: So you and the creature are neck and neck. [01:14:48] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:14:49] Speaker B: Okay. If you got big guns, use them. So the creature pulls itself back together and row. As it pulls itself together, it doesn't form up in front of you as you're fearing with the like. You look back at the crowd briefly, and as you look back at the ground, that. That water with still a little bit of blood, and it is all around you, and it forms up around you, and as it forms up around you, some of it gets, like, up into your nose, and your mouth lifts you up and then just slams you back down on the floor and then dissipates and forms up in front of you again, reeling above you. It's your turn. [01:15:27] Speaker A: Okay. [01:15:28] Speaker B: I like this monster. Cause it's very simple to fight. [01:15:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Interesting. Okay. Um. Hmm. I'm gonna shoot a snuggle arrow at it. No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead. This is when I wish that I had the other curing spell, but that's okay. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and cast. I guess I'll cast cure wounds at the second level on myself, just so I. We don't have to waste a diamond if something bad happens. So that's one d eight plus. [01:16:14] Speaker B: Okay, maybe two d eight plus your charisma modifier. Now, something. Something worth considering is you want to. If you're ever in one on one combat, because this is the first time we've done this. If you ever in one on one combat, you want to make sure that the amount you're healing yourself is more than the average damage you're taking per turn. Just something to think about. [01:16:39] Speaker A: Yeah, that's true. [01:16:41] Speaker B: Because I know we haven't done one on one with you before. [01:16:47] Speaker A: Sorry. I lost my dice. [01:16:48] Speaker B: That's okay. [01:16:51] Speaker A: But now I can't change it, can I? [01:16:55] Speaker B: I've never had to do this before. If you want to do the math real quickly and reconsider, you can. Or if you're like, no, no, no, I did it. Let's commit. That's fine. [01:17:02] Speaker A: I did it. Let's commit. I'll be okay. [01:17:04] Speaker B: Okay, let's commit. I like it. Just a lesson for the future yes. Would you roll it? [01:17:22] Speaker A: I got a dirty 20 of hit points. I rolled a seven and an eight, and then my spell casting spellcasting ability modders five, so 15. [01:17:34] Speaker B: You rolled almost max healing. Yeah, dude, talk about a gamble paying off. [01:17:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:17:41] Speaker B: That's amazing, Jackie. That's incredible. [01:17:44] Speaker A: Okay, and then I don't. [01:17:46] Speaker B: That was officially the right choice. [01:17:49] Speaker A: I'll move away from it a little bit. [01:17:52] Speaker B: That's a tack of opportunity. [01:17:53] Speaker A: Oh, that's true. You know what? I'm not gonna do that, right? I'm just gonna sit there and be like, hee hee. I can swim 10ft in you. [01:18:02] Speaker B: Ew. Okay, it's the creature turn one definitely hits. [01:18:10] Speaker A: Okay. [01:18:11] Speaker B: And one finally misses. [01:18:13] Speaker A: Thank goodness. [01:18:15] Speaker B: So, as you play more of that, like, old song, like, the light builds up around you and begins sealing up your wounds, and the water, like, crashes out quickly and, like, slams into you, pushing you back. But the second bout comes back around, and as part of your song, you just, like, dance around it, and the crowd is. The crowd's, like, kind of cheering again, but the cheers you get back are still. They're stilted. Like, people are. They're too amazed to just be having fun anymore. Like, people. Like, people cheer for a moment, but then go back to being enraptured. You've impressed too powerfully upon them, man. Another pretty good damage roll. 15 points of bludgeoning damage. Technically, mathematically speaking, your heel was still a net gain. [01:19:02] Speaker A: Mm hmm. [01:19:04] Speaker B: Okay, now you just got to deal. More damage. [01:19:08] Speaker A: Um, yeah, I'm going to cast shatter at the fifth level. [01:19:17] Speaker B: Okay, dude, a two. [01:19:24] Speaker A: Okay, so that's gonna be okay. Hold on. 3d show 4568. Oh, no, it's not thunder damage tunder. [01:19:37] Speaker F: It's the tundor lightning. And the tunder. Tunder. [01:19:44] Speaker E: Would the water elemental count as inorganic material? It molest stone, crystal, or metal? [01:19:51] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't think it does anything additional to this. I think. I think an earth elementor, an earth elemental might. Okay, that's how we ruled it in the past. In the past? [01:20:01] Speaker A: Yeah, when we were fighting those rock guys, they were really cracking. That's gonna be 25 points of thunder damage. [01:20:17] Speaker B: Okay, mathematically speaking, this healed and damaged gambit somehow worked out for you, and that's amazing. As you. As you burn on the loot, that shockwave again, and more of that water just sprays back, and only some of it reforms. Starting to look pretty hurt, Jackie. [01:20:37] Speaker A: Good. [01:20:43] Speaker B: So its turn. Big surprise. It's gonna try and hit you twice. [01:20:47] Speaker A: Okay. [01:20:48] Speaker B: Oh, I finally missed ten. [01:20:53] Speaker A: Did you miss again? [01:20:54] Speaker B: A three and a one. [01:20:56] Speaker A: Oh, heck. Yeah. [01:20:58] Speaker B: So, ro, what does it look like as you dodge it? Twice as it's weakened, its form is stabilizing and its strikes are more wild and just sort of slashing motions with its own body. [01:21:07] Speaker A: I would say I kind of do like a little somersault flip thing out of the way. [01:21:13] Speaker B: Oh, hell. [01:21:14] Speaker A: Little acrobatics move. [01:21:17] Speaker B: So, ro, there's a sudden burst of water and you literally just sit down on the ground, kick over with your shoulders and roll backward. And as you roll somersault out of the way and it slashes by you, you stand up into the bing ba da ding bing bing bing. And people are just, just stunned, in awe. The guy who was crying, talking about you is just fully prostrate with only his chin up on the salt, just drooling, staring at you changed his life. This is more than attraction. This is. You've become a religious figure to him. [01:21:51] Speaker A: That is terrifying. [01:21:53] Speaker B: Yeah, it's very terrifying. The man's not well. He's not at a good place. And then pro, the second slash again, you just duck under it, continuing to play. It's your turn. [01:22:05] Speaker A: Okay. And it's still right there in front. [01:22:11] Speaker B: Of me, right, still right in front of you. [01:22:14] Speaker A: It's like, I don't know how bad it is. I think I'm just gonna cast shatter again at the fourth level. [01:22:25] Speaker B: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. [01:22:27] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean it. Yeah. So that's with five. [01:22:33] Speaker B: That's so good. [01:22:34] Speaker A: I know. That's crazy. So that's gonna be a con save from you. [01:22:39] Speaker B: Yes. Oh my goodness. Jackie. I crap you not. Nat one. This thing has had four nat ones. Girl, your first solo combat's going great. [01:22:55] Speaker A: Don't stay in a field. [01:22:58] Speaker B: I know, I'm sorry. [01:23:11] Speaker A: 23 points of that thunder damage. [01:23:19] Speaker B: Ro, as you play out that famous chord again and the shockwave bursts out one more time with all the purple and golden lightning just bursting around you for a moment, the creature like kind of explodes again. And when I say it pulls itself back together, it just falls and falls and falls. It is barely holding what's left of itself together. It's just kind of whipping. Tendrils pulling together at this point it is so close to death it's gonna take two swipes at you. 1719, both hit fire. Save the matches. [01:23:56] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:23:58] Speaker B: Lower damage roll this time. Lower damage. Fine. Okay. I've been willing high on damage. It's finally low damage rolls for eight points of bludgeoning for the first one. [01:24:06] Speaker A: Okay. [01:24:09] Speaker B: And then eleven points of bludgeoning for the second one. Are you up? [01:24:15] Speaker A: Three hit points, my guy. [01:24:19] Speaker F: Jackie. [01:24:21] Speaker B: Okay, so, ro, as it, like, pulls itself back up, you stand kind of. I mean, you're beaten up, but you look triumphant. And a little bit of the water reforming itself just slips under your heel, and you just fall backward. And as you crack your head, a little bit of what's left of the water picks you up and just slams you into the wall really quickly spins you, and the crowd gets quiet as you just barely climb back up to your knees, bleeding everywhere. What are you doing? On your turn, you gotta kill this thing. [01:24:55] Speaker A: But, like, you're both barely up. How bad does it look? [01:25:00] Speaker B: Awful. It is barely holding its form together like you. [01:25:06] Speaker A: Awful. [01:25:07] Speaker B: It is barely standing in the way. [01:25:09] Speaker A: I'm gonna cast shatter at the fourth. [01:25:11] Speaker B: Level like Rocky Balboa. Getting that. [01:25:15] Speaker A: I'm gonna do this with my bloodied hand. To get the crowd to try to. [01:25:21] Speaker B: Get them to cheer, not cheering. Moved beyond cheering, the crowd solemnly and quietly starts going, like, stomping and clapping and drumming on things in this, percussing on things in the room in time with the bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum. So as you bing bib bing ba ba bing bibbing play it, it's less performative and more, like, focused and angered. And as you do, the whole room is thrumming with. As it all plays together. There's this one final bing ba ba bing bibi. Go ahead and roll damage. [01:25:59] Speaker A: I did. [01:26:00] Speaker B: What'd you get? Oh, I have to. [01:26:02] Speaker A: Yeah, you have to roll a con. Save. [01:26:04] Speaker B: Ooh, I saved 19. [01:26:07] Speaker A: Okay, so you take what? Half? [01:26:10] Speaker B: Half damage. Okay, so damage. [01:26:19] Speaker A: That would be 20 points. No, 20. Oh, so it's gonna be ten points. [01:26:26] Speaker B: Ro. As you bing ba ba bing bibbing bing. It goes, and the creature explodes apart, and all the pieces, the whole room looks up, and it does not reform. Pink, and you win the combat. The room finally erupts back into cheers again, but they die quickly. The tavern is more. Well, not this one. It's more than impressed. They really moved here, did something to them. And so there are cheers, and the room is quiet, and the serpentine woman slithers down, and someone lowers a rope for you to pull yourself out with. And given how weak and how hurt you are, you get up a little bit, and people just start lifting you as you're pulled out. There's a bunch of pats on your back, and someone shoves a vial into your hand, but you realize it's not a drink. It's full of red, viscous fluid. It's a healing potion. [01:27:30] Speaker A: Nice. I like. I don't have to, like insight to make sure this isn't, like a fake healing potion, right? Do I need to do that? [01:27:38] Speaker B: I'm not gonna make you do that right now. It's clear. It's clear. [01:27:41] Speaker A: Okay. I'm gonna drink. [01:27:42] Speaker B: The person looks like the half drunk, barely, barely cleric here. And as you down it, take. Oh, wow. Wow. [01:27:56] Speaker F: 19. [01:27:56] Speaker B: 2024 points of healing. I rolled. [01:27:58] Speaker F: Great. [01:28:01] Speaker B: As you steady yourself a little bit in the room, writes, your allies rush to you and greet you. Eventually, that serpentine woman winds down off of the post, sort of weaves her way toward you through the crowd, who parts in front of her, and she. [01:28:13] Speaker F: Says, well, you're cut. [01:28:17] Speaker B: She opens her bag and just starts thumbing it out. And that is. She hands you 250 gold. [01:28:27] Speaker A: Hey, I didn't expect that. [01:28:31] Speaker B: Honestly, you get the feeling it was a much lower spot until you started blowing everyone's minds with all the performing, and then people bet like crazy. [01:28:40] Speaker A: That's it. [01:28:42] Speaker B: So Ro, having won a one on one fight, also, for the record, that's a crypto five creature, so I know five is lower than eleven, but that's intended for a party of fifth level characters. You just beat it on your own. [01:28:59] Speaker A: Anyhow, Ro can do some damage, guys. [01:29:02] Speaker B: Ro can do combat. That's pretty sick. [01:29:06] Speaker A: Who would have thought? [01:29:07] Speaker B: So, on that note, that is where we'll end episode 111, House of Pain. And then I guess next time will be episode 112, Hausser of Painter or Houseist of Paintest? I don't know. We'll figure it out. It'll just be House of Pain part. [01:29:23] Speaker A: Two, but House of more pain. [01:29:26] Speaker B: That's our episode. [01:29:28] Speaker A: Oh, shit. [01:29:28] Speaker B: I need to level you guys. Oh, my goodness. Forgive us. Give me unsecunsk. Okay, give me just a second. Breath. So you guys gain 0.04 levels. Plus, that's five, so that means. Hold on, I got to do my maths real quick. Somebody say something interesting? Yes. This is for both of us. [01:30:02] Speaker A: Laid bars. What did you think? What were you thinking? Did you think row? You think you're gonna have to revivify row? [01:30:09] Speaker E: I was wondering. The healing spell you did literally saved your life. [01:30:15] Speaker A: Yeah. That was insane. I did not. I don't think I've ever rolled like, I rolled a seven max healing like that. [01:30:22] Speaker B: That was incredible. [01:30:24] Speaker E: It would have been negative two without it. [01:30:26] Speaker B: And then. Yeah, and then another 0.045 levels. [01:30:33] Speaker E: How much total? [01:30:36] Speaker B: So 0.085? [01:30:38] Speaker A: I believe so. And then. [01:30:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it was 0.04 plus 0.045. So, 0.085. Because it was 0.02, plus 0.02. Plus 0.045. So, 0.085. [01:30:56] Speaker A: We are at 1185. We're at 11.215. [01:31:04] Speaker B: Okay. All right. Gotta start to move through those levels. All right, well, either who. That's the episode. We will be back next time with more house of pain and more heroes fighting monsters. One on one or two on one, or who knows what. So that you're listening to another episode. The Patreon be dope.
