[00:00:05] Speaker A: Welcome back to Barely D and D. [00:00:07] Speaker B: This is your sort of dungeon of Dragons podcast. And the flowers that Zachary baht Hoffa are beautiful. Take it away, Zach. [00:00:14] Speaker A: Welcome back to Barely D and D. I didn't know you were going to transition to me so quickly. And I was dancing very violently, but I'm not out of breath. You are. This is accidental adventures. And we're going to do some Dunda and Maya. Can you guys see in the battle map? Can Maya over here next to me? [00:00:30] Speaker C: She's really in her own chair. [00:00:32] Speaker A: Oh, she's so fluffy. But go, go, go. But we're doing accidental adventures, so. Okay, here's a question. Should we start doing a thing where I give the note taking nerds the details before the letter questions, or should we keep doing it after? After. [00:00:51] Speaker B: I like after because your eyes have. [00:00:54] Speaker A: Made a crying face. I'll take that as a no. [00:00:56] Speaker D: No. Is the hero of my day today. She brought me things to eat. [00:01:03] Speaker B: Thank you for the things. [00:01:05] Speaker D: Thank you, mom. [00:01:07] Speaker C: Thank you, Abby. [00:01:08] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:01:09] Speaker B: I cancel the Patreon shout out. [00:01:10] Speaker A: Technically, that does. Technically speaking. Technically. Technically, I check. So, Micah with our editor question. Do you want to take it away? [00:01:20] Speaker E: Yes, I do. If you could cast. Or if your character could cast a spell on someone, what spells spell would you cast and on whom? [00:01:31] Speaker D: Wait, I can't hear Micah. I'm so sorry. [00:01:35] Speaker A: Micah, can you repeat the question? I can hear Micah, which I think. [00:01:39] Speaker D: Means last week, and I turned her up. [00:01:45] Speaker A: Yeah, but I think that that's. I think that's objective proof that we're better friends with Micah than Abby, is what? [00:01:50] Speaker E: That moves everyone else. [00:01:53] Speaker B: They were on one recording set up last week. [00:01:56] Speaker D: I will understand through context. I got this. [00:01:59] Speaker B: Oh, let's try to cast with the question. [00:02:02] Speaker C: That's kind of funny. [00:02:03] Speaker D: I love it. [00:02:06] Speaker C: No, let me reread it, please. [00:02:10] Speaker A: Who's the dumb nimpuka? [00:02:13] Speaker C: Wait, I don't understand this question, though, because we can, right? [00:02:18] Speaker E: But, like. No, but no matter what, no matter the like. Cause, you know, there's spells outside of your class. There's. [00:02:27] Speaker C: Okay, okay. [00:02:29] Speaker A: So point being, ro, like, you could. You could cast, like, charm person on Craig. But what Micah's saying is if you wanted to cast, disintegrate on Craig, you could too. That's what Micah saying. [00:02:40] Speaker E: That's horrible. [00:02:43] Speaker A: Who's the. [00:02:43] Speaker E: I guess this is more interesting to me as a new caster. [00:02:47] Speaker C: No, it's exciting. [00:02:48] Speaker A: You know what, Mike? [00:02:49] Speaker C: I like what you were saying. I like what you're. I get where you're going now. Smell what? You're stepping in, as Zach says. [00:02:57] Speaker A: Okay, but who's the DMV so much? [00:03:00] Speaker C: How about who's someone that's a non. [00:03:03] Speaker B: Caster bill free we have not had. [00:03:08] Speaker A: That's a good answer. [00:03:13] Speaker E: Um, I. Can I go first? [00:03:16] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. It'd be kind of mean if you made Abby go first. [00:03:21] Speaker E: Locate object. [00:03:24] Speaker C: On what? On what? [00:03:27] Speaker E: For edible rocks. [00:03:29] Speaker C: Oh, no, no. [00:03:35] Speaker E: On who objects. [00:03:38] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [00:03:38] Speaker C: Why would you think of a person? [00:03:40] Speaker E: Where's your brain, Layden? [00:03:42] Speaker C: Well, you said on someone, didn't you? [00:03:44] Speaker A: Wasn't that the question? [00:03:45] Speaker E: Why would you. [00:03:46] Speaker B: I didn't say on who. That was Jackie. That was Jackie that said that, not me. [00:03:49] Speaker C: No, Micah did. [00:03:50] Speaker A: When she asked the question. [00:03:53] Speaker B: Oh, on who? [00:03:54] Speaker A: Oh, that is true. That is true. [00:03:56] Speaker E: I didn't think about that part. I didn't think about that. [00:03:58] Speaker A: In Micah's defense, rocks is a person. Met him recently. [00:04:03] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:03] Speaker E: Dwayne the Rock Johnson. That's what he's looking for. [00:04:07] Speaker A: But. But add up. Well, technically. Stop. [00:04:13] Speaker B: Bad Zachary flushes. [00:04:14] Speaker A: Flush. So I'm just. I mean, it's cannibalism. It's wrong, but it's still technically possible. Anyway. What? [00:04:21] Speaker B: Next up, bozeme boss would cast calamity. [00:04:28] Speaker E: What is that? [00:04:29] Speaker C: Who? [00:04:30] Speaker B: It doesn't. [00:04:31] Speaker C: It doesn't matter. [00:04:36] Speaker B: It's not on a person. [00:04:38] Speaker A: Just destroy. I mean, yeah, it's. If you're casting calamity on someone, you're casting it on everyone. It's my. [00:04:43] Speaker C: What is calamity for? I know what it is, but what is calamity for the listeners? [00:04:51] Speaker A: It's a homebrew spell from Osama drunk. [00:04:53] Speaker E: That's me. [00:04:53] Speaker B: It's a secret. [00:04:55] Speaker C: You're not gonna. [00:04:56] Speaker B: It's basically like a nuclear bomb within a mile. [00:04:59] Speaker A: Wonder if radius yourself. It's bad. [00:05:02] Speaker B: It's a bad spell. It's a bad. He would not cast that. But I wanted to get Zachary surprised by telling a homebrew spell. [00:05:07] Speaker A: I mean, yeah, I was surprised. [00:05:09] Speaker B: Still on the ropes, DM boy. I know. [00:05:11] Speaker C: Wait, you said if our character would cast it, right? Not us, your character. [00:05:16] Speaker A: Or their most. Their closest related cousin. [00:05:19] Speaker B: I don't know, maybe Bob or anything. [00:05:21] Speaker A: They won't give the party too much information about. [00:05:24] Speaker E: Oh. [00:05:26] Speaker A: So what's. What's Rose. What's Rose? Answer. [00:05:29] Speaker C: I was about to say something. That's the pot calling the kettle flag. Okay, sorry. Remember when we found out anyway? [00:05:40] Speaker D: Yeah, like, weeks afterwards. [00:05:43] Speaker C: Yeah. Anyway, Ro had cast weird on viscuit. [00:05:51] Speaker A: Oh, that's a good answer. That's such a good answer. Because mainly, he would suffer, like, yeah, it's an amazing spell. [00:06:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:02] Speaker A: Underrated. [00:06:04] Speaker B: I change my answer. [00:06:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:06:08] Speaker C: What? [00:06:08] Speaker B: I would cast egg on roe. [00:06:11] Speaker A: Hmm. Yeah, it's a good answer. Grabby. [00:06:20] Speaker D: Um. [00:06:23] Speaker A: Bam bam. Shang a lang in the shall. [00:06:28] Speaker D: Uh, I think Greta would cast either inflict wounds or flame blade. [00:06:39] Speaker B: On who? [00:06:40] Speaker D: On bad guy. Secret fiance. She would cast it on her secret fiance, but she would cast. [00:06:51] Speaker B: Have a secret fiance. Okay. [00:06:53] Speaker D: I really want one. [00:06:54] Speaker A: That is very long engagement. [00:06:59] Speaker B: Can we. [00:07:04] Speaker D: It doesn't have to be longer fiance in ag land. No. Maybe she found it home cove. [00:07:16] Speaker B: That true? [00:07:17] Speaker A: So, like, while everyone. While everyone was on the adventure and Greta slipped away for a little bit, she just got engaged real quick and came back to the bachelorette. [00:07:25] Speaker B: She was the poor splenny song bachelorette. [00:07:27] Speaker C: It was like, oh, my God. Can we do a one shot where it's just the bachelorette somewhere in. In the world for the bachelorette? [00:07:38] Speaker A: That would be so funny. Oh, my goodness. That's a great idea. That'd be an amazing Valentine's Day. One shot. Yeah. [00:07:45] Speaker B: If you're listening to this, I hate you. That's who. Kevin. [00:07:49] Speaker A: What? [00:07:50] Speaker B: Kevin Devan. [00:07:52] Speaker C: Kevin Devon. [00:07:53] Speaker A: Devon. [00:07:54] Speaker B: All the bachelorette know what I'm talking about. [00:07:57] Speaker A: Oh, I don't. So Bill free would cast. [00:08:07] Speaker D: I could turn into a two dancing squares there, and I was really worried, but she's back now. [00:08:14] Speaker A: Bill free would cast. [00:08:15] Speaker E: Iva is so poopy. [00:08:19] Speaker A: What did you say, Micah? Guys, what did you say? [00:08:26] Speaker E: This way, Micah. [00:08:29] Speaker B: All we heard was something so poopy. That's all we heard. [00:08:34] Speaker A: Micah, go. [00:08:35] Speaker B: I still missed it. You said, my blank is so poopy. [00:08:39] Speaker C: It was so poopy. [00:08:41] Speaker E: You get to guess. [00:08:43] Speaker A: Okay, Jackie, could you take a quote? My blank is so poopy. [00:08:48] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm putting it down right now. [00:08:53] Speaker A: Bill free. Bill Free would cast. You know, Bill Free wouldn't immediately cast anything. If he could gain. If he could cast spells and he knew what they were, he would have revivify prepared all the time for Plov. That would be. That would be the go to. [00:09:17] Speaker B: Some family love. Does he have the diamond, though? That's the question. Just because he can cast it doesn't mean he can cast. [00:09:27] Speaker A: And will the party lend it to him? [00:09:29] Speaker C: I would. [00:09:30] Speaker A: I never don't know the party members being like, okay, look, Bill free, we get. It's your sister. Deckhands aren't hard to find. [00:09:39] Speaker B: When are we with Bill Free? [00:09:41] Speaker C: We're on this show. There's been times where we thought we might lose one of them. [00:09:48] Speaker A: Yeah, it was bed and chicken for the note taking nerds. [00:09:59] Speaker B: Wait. Okay. [00:10:01] Speaker D: I genuinely have no idea. [00:10:03] Speaker E: Okay. [00:10:03] Speaker D: Nope. [00:10:06] Speaker A: Smash cut to. If this was the office, we would just smash cut to Abby's desk. There's no dice. There's no character. She's not. She's just like, wait, wait. Deod. [00:10:14] Speaker C: And then Jim looks at the camera. [00:10:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Pause and look from Abby. All right, so for the note taking notes, this is accidental adventures, episode 112. Wow. House of pain, part two, because it makes a lot of sense. [00:10:38] Speaker B: Did I put part one in the Patreon? I thought I did, and I was like, I wonder if Zachary's gonna say part two or not. But did I do part one? [00:10:44] Speaker A: I don't know. All right. [00:10:46] Speaker B: I'm. [00:10:49] Speaker A: I can't read, so. Oh, no. [00:10:53] Speaker B: Not be able to read. [00:10:56] Speaker A: That's the danger. Sometimes when I'm dming, you guys are like, wow, that's weird. It's because I can't read it. I can only write it. So it is a level eleven adventure. The date is 34 88. Papa. [00:11:10] Speaker D: You said it was 112. [00:11:13] Speaker A: Yes. Episode 112. House of Pain, part two. Level eleven adventure 3488 pb. Caladron 32. Nathem, this is the last day of Caladron. [00:11:25] Speaker C: Wait, it's been the last day of caladrone for a while. And can we just talk about how it seems like it's each time we go to an underground fighting ring? That that day was, like, really long in playtime. [00:11:39] Speaker A: Always is. Always is. Also, I just noticed something. Looking at my notes, I've been calling Caladro in the last month of summer for, like, three months of real life play. Caladron is the first month of fall. It's been fall for, like, a month. [00:11:52] Speaker D: Oh, wow. [00:11:53] Speaker C: We could have been eating apples and eating pumpkin. [00:11:58] Speaker B: So many cozy month right to the core. [00:12:01] Speaker A: I'm about to, except that, you know, climates are different, so. Man, I really should have played that up more. And zedge. Well, here we are. Okay, so without further apoo, I get. [00:12:13] Speaker C: A song going here equivalent in Zed. [00:12:19] Speaker A: Okay, can you guys hear the music? [00:12:21] Speaker D: Yeah, sounds awesome. [00:12:25] Speaker A: Can I hear the music? Yeah. There we go. Okay. It's a shame this isn't a video podcast, because everyone is doing a weird slow dance except Micah, so. Oh, Landon's really going for it. [00:12:44] Speaker C: He dabbed. [00:12:46] Speaker A: Now, Landon has been asked to stop. [00:12:50] Speaker D: Leave the podcast, every single one. [00:12:55] Speaker B: Fun. [00:12:56] Speaker A: Guys, you are in the house of pain, the dilapidated stalt storage silo that has been long abandoned and repurposed. Definitely not by any ordinance. Just someone has moved in and it is being used as the premise for this, however often meeting underground fighting ring. And you all have meth. The. As to now unnamed Youonti Caster who clearly runs the business and controls Zorgham girl. What is. [00:13:31] Speaker C: Yeah, Zorgam girl. [00:13:32] Speaker A: She appears to have Zorgi powers and she has some sort of a magical item on her wrist that can summon things, but that is what she's using next to summon the monsters. And she has conducted the first fight in the ruckus and awful atmosphere. You may have witnessed a murder already at some point. I mean, the scene could not be seedier. And the brash grung barman has already rejected Craig and hit on Ro or hit on Greta. Excuse me. And then been turned down by Greta and all of the ruckus. Ro, I already told you the earnings you got, right? [00:14:11] Speaker C: Yeah, I got 250 gold pieces. [00:14:16] Speaker A: Excellent. For winning her fight, Ro earned 250 gold. Wow, that's a lot of money. [00:14:22] Speaker B: You need that money. [00:14:24] Speaker A: She. She defeated a water elemental partially made of blood all on her lonesome and got actual crap eating out of her for it. [00:14:34] Speaker D: Maybe I want to. Maybe that sounds fun. And then you said, water elemental made partially out of blood. And I was like, I will not. [00:14:41] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:14:42] Speaker A: And you said, no, no, no, no. [00:14:45] Speaker C: Boss. And Roe literally did a blood pact with a Zorgi boy warlock. So I don't know what. What's gonna happen with that. [00:14:52] Speaker D: Oh, wow. Not for me. Thank you, though. [00:14:55] Speaker A: And when you did it, you burned her hand. [00:15:00] Speaker E: Oh, that's right. [00:15:01] Speaker C: We both burned her hand. Yeah. That was rock and roll, man. [00:15:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:06] Speaker A: We make her. [00:15:08] Speaker C: We make her dirt. That's going in the quotes. [00:15:13] Speaker A: We make her. [00:15:15] Speaker B: We make her Dolgoth and we'll make her. You too. [00:15:26] Speaker A: Maker. I hardly know. Anyway. [00:15:31] Speaker D: Shout out to Curtis Connor if you're listening, Curtis. Thanks for making that joke. [00:15:37] Speaker A: It's much older than him, but, yeah. [00:15:40] Speaker D: Actually, I think it was Curtis that made it up. [00:15:43] Speaker A: All right. And importantly, Ro not only defeated her adversary, but did so with uproarious applause. The place lost their mind for her. She put on maybe the best show they've ever seen. [00:15:57] Speaker C: Didn't they also kind of freak out, though, because I did some old song stuff and they were like, you deeply. [00:16:03] Speaker A: Impressed them, but also maybe touched their souls a little bit. So it's like, wow, she's the best. And also, everyone's like, oh, what are these things I'm feeling and have heard? [00:16:13] Speaker C: That's when you know you're a true. [00:16:14] Speaker A: Bar in every way. Ro has left an incredible impression. So, Ro, as you're pulled out of the pit, and I forget, healed you. But whoever healed you, as you're pulled out of the. Out of the pit, impartially healed. [00:16:25] Speaker C: Very partially healed, myself? [00:16:29] Speaker A: Yes, I believe so. Yeah. Ro has just successfully climbed out of her pit and there's a great energy around her. But, ro, you are not mobbed by people. [00:16:41] Speaker C: They scared. [00:16:44] Speaker A: People are amazed, but also, like, there's a shock and awe in this place. And so everyone's excited, but quiet and giving her space. And there's a lot of muttering and mumbling and everyone's just in awe of her. As Ro climbs out of the pit, you guys can have a moment for role play of anything if you like, or we can keep rigidy rolling. [00:17:08] Speaker B: Ro, I did not think that was. No, I thought it was going to go great. But when you decided to heal yourself instead of fighting, I was like, oh, man, it was a good try. Did it? You won by. [00:17:22] Speaker A: I'm gonna level with you. I thought you were going to lose. That was great. Good job. [00:17:27] Speaker C: Confidence, you guys. [00:17:29] Speaker A: Yeah, amazing. [00:17:31] Speaker E: I remember when I was worried for your safety when you would go into fights because I wasn't sure if you would make it out because you're so, you know, dainty and small and. But I. You're so strong. You're so. [00:17:42] Speaker C: I mean, I have been working out with you, Craig. So. Did it, um. You know. [00:17:53] Speaker E: I'm just. Wow. [00:17:56] Speaker C: Did something happen? Sorry, I didn't. I don't mean to step out of the moment. [00:17:59] Speaker A: I don't know why. [00:18:00] Speaker C: Okay. I thought the thing stopped recording. I don't know why I thought that. [00:18:04] Speaker A: I know I did. Oh, it started playing in the legend of the new ones channel instead of. All right, Kenku. Okay. [00:18:17] Speaker E: They're joining the fight. Oh, my gosh. [00:18:20] Speaker A: Let's not have that happen. That wouldn't go well. [00:18:25] Speaker C: No. Yeah, that was kind of fun. I was a little worried there, but then I took care of it, but got us 250 gold, so, you know, that'll be nice. Our pockets are a little lighter. [00:18:36] Speaker A: Is it worth saying as ro talks to you? Her nose is still broken slightly and she's covered in her own blood. And she has like, the left half of her face. Right half is just completely bruised all the way down, down her neck. Looks like it goes in her armor. [00:18:51] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:53] Speaker B: Suppress digitate yourself until the end of the night. I dare you. [00:18:57] Speaker C: Well, I'm all sticky. Yeah. [00:19:02] Speaker D: You look incredible. You look really like you had an awesome fight. [00:19:06] Speaker C: Can I at least wipe my eyes? [00:19:08] Speaker B: Because it's kind of as much as you want. [00:19:11] Speaker A: Never mind. [00:19:11] Speaker B: Tell us the boss. [00:19:13] Speaker A: Honestly, it looks too demure. You have to leave it the way it is. You look so. [00:19:17] Speaker C: You know, I don't like that word, tello. I would never write a song with that word. [00:19:24] Speaker B: Um, and that word is on a. [00:19:26] Speaker D: Band song, trying to connect with the youth. You have to stop trying. [00:19:30] Speaker A: I'm still young. [00:19:32] Speaker E: I'm still young. [00:19:34] Speaker D: Be confident in your old french, man. I mean, is that a gray hair tallow? [00:19:41] Speaker A: And he just, like, whips his cape and goes to the. [00:19:45] Speaker D: The youths do not want you, and they think they want you. [00:19:49] Speaker C: I mean, I will say. I will say. And she kind of, like, lowers her voice and kind of does, like, leans into Boz, and I lean in because I say. [00:20:05] Speaker B: I lean into hella, walks back over. [00:20:08] Speaker A: And leans in as well. [00:20:10] Speaker C: Guys, this is not inconspicuous. [00:20:13] Speaker E: Did you. [00:20:15] Speaker C: Did you notice her magic a little bit? Pulls. [00:20:20] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. She's evil for sure. She's giving us money, though. [00:20:26] Speaker C: Yeah, I just worry. I just worry about, you know, the. The whole us cutting and then, you know, blood pact, like, things. I don't really have experience in that. [00:20:37] Speaker B: Like, she got hurt, and we didn't, so that's. [00:20:40] Speaker C: I worry about, like, what if we signed on to something besides just an underground fighting ring, you know? [00:20:46] Speaker B: Well, typically, blood oaths binds you to the terms that you agree upon. Okay, so, I mean, I haven't. [00:20:53] Speaker C: I haven't ever done a blood oath in my day, so. [00:20:55] Speaker B: I love blood oaths. [00:20:57] Speaker A: Hey, Greta, do you want to do. [00:20:58] Speaker B: A blood oath right now? [00:20:59] Speaker E: Dude? [00:21:00] Speaker D: Yeah, for sure. [00:21:01] Speaker B: Okay. I. I do. [00:21:04] Speaker C: Ro is still, like, trying to wipe all the blood off of her without pressing Brett. [00:21:11] Speaker B: Why should we. [00:21:11] Speaker C: What? [00:21:11] Speaker B: Should we value each other right now? [00:21:14] Speaker A: Oh, no. [00:21:15] Speaker D: You promised to take me to Sandor if I promise to get you information. [00:21:22] Speaker B: What is Sandor? I don't know what that is. [00:21:24] Speaker D: Oh, okay. That's okay. [00:21:27] Speaker B: I promise to take you there. Let's do it. And I, like. I do a little bitty prick on my hand, and I shake Greta's hand. I trust you completely. [00:21:34] Speaker D: Can we do it like it's a high five? [00:21:37] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, exactly. Roll for high five. Can we roll for how good the high five is? [00:21:43] Speaker E: Y'all should do the frat boy thing. [00:21:48] Speaker D: To where? But then our hands. [00:21:50] Speaker B: I rolled a four, so I probably don't know what that means. [00:21:55] Speaker D: It's okay. [00:21:58] Speaker B: It's a group roll. [00:21:59] Speaker A: We're the DM now. Zach. [00:22:03] Speaker D: What'S my modifier for high five. [00:22:06] Speaker A: It's just your high five modifier, which is zero. [00:22:08] Speaker D: Okay, I got a 19. [00:22:10] Speaker C: Why not Dex? [00:22:12] Speaker A: So, Greta, you put your hand directly where it should be, and Boz misses and just palms his hand, just slaps you right across the face, but not across, just on. Just, like, bam. Like, baps your face. Okay. [00:22:26] Speaker D: I say it's okay, but we'll try again. That wasn't even. Okay. I have a little bit of boss blood on my face now. [00:22:32] Speaker A: Yes. [00:22:33] Speaker B: I roll again. Not twitty. Not twitty. On the high five. [00:22:38] Speaker A: Roll. Let's go. [00:22:39] Speaker D: I got a nine. [00:22:46] Speaker A: Now, what happens is Boz completely keeps track of the elbow, nails, the hand, and he actually. He does so well that as Greta recently slapped in the face by a grown man, it's probably starting size. As she, like, swings wide, not concussed, but a little fuzzy. You catch her hand anyway for the high five, but with her nine, she, like. So you guys do a little catch, and, like, the camera would zoom in on the tiny, two little blood drops going. And then. But as you do, Greta's weak old lady wrists fold, and she accidentally just racks you on the way down, so. Got it. [00:23:25] Speaker D: How could you, old lady? Ross, do you think it works? [00:23:32] Speaker A: Are we often. [00:23:34] Speaker B: I don't know. I think it works. [00:23:37] Speaker A: I don't know. [00:23:38] Speaker B: Give me a moment. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. [00:23:42] Speaker A: Okay. I think I'll be fine. [00:23:43] Speaker B: I'm gonna be fine. I'll be fine. What do I promise again? What did you. What did you promise to give me? I. [00:23:49] Speaker C: For. [00:23:49] Speaker B: I just wanted to do it. I don't know what I. [00:23:52] Speaker C: Wait. [00:23:53] Speaker B: Oh, you're gonna give me information, and I'm gonna take you to Sandor. Where's Sandor? [00:23:58] Speaker C: It's where. [00:24:00] Speaker D: East of Ashas. [00:24:04] Speaker C: You know, my king. My king boyfriend told us about it. [00:24:08] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. The monks. The monks. [00:24:11] Speaker D: We're going. That's where my. That's where my order lives. [00:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah, let's go there. Cause they owe us stuff, I guess because he gave us his seal. [00:24:19] Speaker A: An important point of order for when we get to the second session, whenever you guys are done with. You were deciding whether or not to go to the lost lands or Sandor next, so that is kind of like the next business, as well as you also had the business with Bela and for the drowned keep. Micah, did you have a thing four years ago? [00:24:34] Speaker E: Yes, I did. I'm so glad, because I didn't want to interrupt that, but I was wondering if I could use divine sense, and before I before we move forward with that, would it draw attention to me or could I do it subtly? [00:24:52] Speaker A: No. Divine sense is almost completely internal. [00:24:59] Speaker E: Okay. [00:24:59] Speaker A: Use the feature for the first time. [00:25:01] Speaker E: And it says, as an action, I become aware of good and evil. Is that because I know sometimes it says things I want to become aware of? What they were talking about of that one lady. [00:25:17] Speaker A: Oh, okay. So, divine sense, let's read the details very carefully. First, big palliative future years. Presence of strong evil registers in your senses like a noxious odor and powerful good rings heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial fiend or undead within 60ft of you that is not beneath total or not behind total cover. You know the type of celestial fiend or undead of any being whose presence you sense but not its identity, such as the vampire count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance. Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated. As with the hallow spell, you can use this. A number of yada, yada, yada. Okay, thick. So, Craig, what does it look like as you use defined, since I'm gonna. [00:26:08] Speaker E: Because I. This was like a second part, part of the episode when me and Abe left last time. Right? Like that was what they were talking about was happening after we left. [00:26:19] Speaker C: Well, so what happened? And just to refresh the listener's memory too, what happened was I, as a player, did a role because I wanted to know the snake lady at the place that's taken all the bets and everything. I wanted to know if I could tell, if Ro could tell what class she was. And it was a really high roll. And Zach said it would be hard. And it's not really set in stone of like, oh, this is your class, or whatever, but I rolled high and I rolled a 31. So Zach told me that she's probably in the warlock vibes, from what I could tell what she was casting and her magic was like, dark red. So we put a lot of blood and all the blood. So we put two and two together that she was probably serving zurgy boy. But I found this out after we did, because what we did was we, to enter the ring, you have to. She cuts your hand and cuts our hand. We shake hands as a contract so that if we win or lose, you know, we get paid what we do. And when we did that with her, Boz and I burnt her. And it's because we have like, you know, maker power and she has Zord power. You know. [00:27:43] Speaker E: Though I still, I think then, yeah, I want to close divine sense. So, so what does that look like, craig? I close my eyes for a second and I breathe in and I think as I breathe in, I start, like my senses start to change and I'm getting kind of getting all these fragrances of different smells and different odors while also hearing like beginning to hear more like this array of like music and sound in my ears like it described. And then as I like breathe out this, like, I don't know, it's like a rush over me, over my mind and I open my eyes and I become aware of what is around me. [00:28:28] Speaker A: Heck yeah. And Craig, as you take that, that inhale where all those senses wash in and then that exhale where the tide goes out and as you breathe out, you all watch us. Like this place is entirely, I mean, the only open space is the barn door at one side of the room. And this place is like no one's in the pit part with the fighting ring, but the, like, raised part where everyone can stand is way beyond occupancy. Like, people are crammed in here. So there's no way a breeze could get to you, especially as short as you are, Craig. But as Craig breathes out, like it's going with his breath, a breeze comes by from nowhere. And just like where that mohawk of hair comes down, it like rustles a little bit as does his, like the goatee beard that he has like moves as if Craig summoned a breeze with his breath. And as it does, Craig, as you open your eyes for just 1 second, there's a brief golden flash and within 60ft of you sense no undead and no celestials and you don't sense any fiends. However, you're literally a paladin of the maker and she's literally got a z dog thing going. So you do sense, and you do sense a foul malevolent connection that indeed she does have powers gained from the darkest of sources. [00:29:44] Speaker E: Orky boy. [00:29:46] Speaker A: And you know what you do know that it is connected to the bloodied one given the way that you can identify the connection. So you understand that these powers are. [00:29:54] Speaker E: Inherited for such that knowledge almost like sends a chill in his spine because he's like, oh my gosh, that means we're literally in a room with our enemies. Like, we are literally in a room with our enemies. The way that we are with the maker is the way that they are or grim reta reta scary. [00:30:15] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:16] Speaker B: Do you dare to say zorcrum sucks when I start my fight? [00:30:20] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. [00:30:22] Speaker A: Seven more monsters. [00:30:23] Speaker C: Oh, my gosh. I swear to say that word. [00:30:29] Speaker E: What you should say is the maker is great. That maker. That's what you need to say. [00:30:36] Speaker D: Actions speak louder than words. [00:30:38] Speaker C: I'm gonna go with Gretchen on this one. [00:30:40] Speaker D: And sometimes, right choosing. [00:30:42] Speaker B: I should use illusionary magic to draw a picture of Morgan getting stopped on. [00:30:46] Speaker A: By a boo boss. [00:30:48] Speaker D: Silence. Conceptual and audible silence is the true act of resistance. [00:30:53] Speaker A: Sometimes the every conceivable form of not talking about something is the loudest way to say it. [00:30:58] Speaker C: I just. I just don't want. [00:31:04] Speaker B: To. [00:31:05] Speaker A: When Maiko was saying the maker, the maker, I, like, got a flashback to the DC talk song and I just envisioned Boz getting down in the pit and going, the maker is still all right with me. Yeah, the maker is still alright. The maker's not dead. [00:31:22] Speaker B: He's fully alive. [00:31:27] Speaker A: He has a movie franchise and really big concerts. Bada. But anyway, subtle and unnecessary criticism of the newsboys. Moving on. So the. Yeah, so the way it was organized was the people who were gonna fight next was the second fight. Are we cool with that order? Yeah, we need to mix it up. I can't find it. [00:31:49] Speaker C: Say that again. [00:31:50] Speaker A: This point. No, it's a one and done, Jackie. Okay, fine and freaking done, dude. It's at this point that the massive Yuanzi woman with her broken pattern of colors and her, it's very important worth saying that she's not a Younsie woman in the way that you met that woman. Because for Abby and Micah, who might have missed this, she's not a youanti woman in the way that that woman had snake features and some scales from Magic Lane. This woman, she has on her upper skin, she has dark brown caramel skin across half her torso and her right arm. And then everything else on her is scaled. So part of her is Yuanzi and part of her isn't. And the part that is has broken misaligned patterns. And she has this giant connective tissue going down from the back of her neck to her shoulders that makes it look like she's got the biggest traps in the world. But it's like a connective hood, like on a cobra. And that's cool. She has no legs below her hips. It is an entirely serpentine body, about 20ft long. So she's literally half snake. And her face is very serpentine. It's not just serpentine features. Like the woman from Magic Lane, her face is almost entirely serpentine which makes it really uncanny that it still has any human elements remaining to it. And as she slides down off of that sort of raised broken beam where she elevates herself to announce the fights, she slithers over to where you all are waiting, and the whole crowd parts for her. And there's a very excited conversation. You all are hearing the word fungis surrounded by colorful expletives every, like, 15 seconds from this crowd. I mean, they curse like sailors. These people can't create a sentence without cursing. But there is. I mean, you guys are being very clearly recognized. One way or another, this is gonna get out of. [00:33:38] Speaker D: They're gonna get us. They're gonna get us. They're gonna get us, get us, get us, get us. [00:33:45] Speaker A: Sorry, what you, auntie, will be slithers up to you, Abby. And as she slithers up, the creepiest part is that, like, if she was standing at the height of legs, she'd be, like, somewhere in between, like Craig and Boz's height. But she raises herself up so that she's taller than all of you all. Cause she has all that extra length below, and she has a scimitar at one side and then that strange, like, metal and leather gauntlet on one side with the different jackets gemstones embedded. And it's worth noting that where two of them or three of them were glowing before, only two are glowing now. So that's got something to do with the monster she can summon. But as she slithers up, she says, well done. Next. We'll fight. [00:34:30] Speaker B: Literally said, thank you. Next. [00:34:33] Speaker A: Dang it. [00:34:35] Speaker E: Thank you. Next. Thank you. Hand with one finger. Like, actually, Grace is a finger lady. [00:34:48] Speaker B: If you disguise yourself, you can fight again. [00:34:51] Speaker C: What? [00:34:52] Speaker B: If you disguise yourself, you can fight again. [00:34:54] Speaker C: I think she. We already talked about it, too. [00:34:57] Speaker B: Never mind. I'm lost. [00:34:58] Speaker A: Never mind. What are you doing, Craig? Own that scene. Speak with confidence. Fart with your chest. [00:35:04] Speaker E: I walk up to her and I'm like, I'm gonna fight, if that's okay with you. I wanna be respected. I know that you kind of control all this, and I wanna. [00:35:15] Speaker A: Craig, you walk up with all this confidence, and everyone goes, ooh. And then you're super polite, and everyone's like, oh, okay, Craig, did you want. [00:35:23] Speaker C: Me to or not? [00:35:25] Speaker E: So I have this issue where I can't do things. If she's not just kidding, can she join? [00:35:33] Speaker A: I don't care if she fights. She fights. [00:35:37] Speaker C: Okay. [00:35:38] Speaker E: She looks really cool right now. Yeah. Did I need to bring a pat? [00:35:45] Speaker A: She doesn't reach for her sword. She just holds up a hand and all this bloody mist kind of appears around her right human hand. And then from it, the blood consolidates, like into a shard of crystal that just. And she's holding like a piece of obsidian that looks a little like transparent red at the edges. And she just reaches down her hand and puts it, and a little blood swells up, right? And as you look down at her hand, it's just covered in scars, and she reaches down toward yours. And so Craig reaches down and bites his own hand, which is wild, cause it's a metal gauntlet. So he's just. So she does that, and then Craig on a metal gauntlet, the whole crowd looks really confused. [00:36:26] Speaker E: No, no, I was new, Craig, I was mean. I take off my gauntlet and I. [00:36:40] Speaker A: Which takes Craig about 45 seconds of unbuckling and sliding. [00:36:44] Speaker E: Hold on, give me 1 second. I should have done this. [00:36:47] Speaker C: Craig's doing this. Ro's doing that thing where she's kind of just rocking back and forth on her heels and she just kind of nods at the lady and she's like, like, cool. You know what, this is nice club. [00:37:01] Speaker E: Giving. This is giving. I've been in line for ten minutes and I just got to the window and I'm just taking out my wallet. [00:37:09] Speaker B: Every TSA agent's worst nightmare. [00:37:12] Speaker E: Exactly. So I'm like, I have my own thing for this. And he takes out, I'm gonna say, one of his javelins. And he like. [00:37:32] Speaker A: Okay, so Craig, instead of using the blood knife she's made, reaches over his back and from the spool of leather, pulls out a whole javelin, which is like 3ft long and like a giant nail, and just goes to the sharp point, which is one gigantic. I mean, it doesn't have a blade on it, it's just one sharp point at the end of a conical, and like a kid holding a giant marker, just. And cuts a pretty deep carve into his hand. Craig, you could take one point of piercing from how sharp that is and is, oh, that's a lot of blood. And you say you wipe it off, stick it back in the sheath. She just looks at you, confused, and then she reaches down her hand, and as you all shake, if you do, the blood in your hands mixes. And she watch her vertical pupils constrict. Suddenly she hisses, yeah, what's up, Micah? [00:38:26] Speaker E: Can I say, as he's going in for the handshake, as she is going in for the handshake, and he goes, okay, I want you to remember that burn. [00:38:39] Speaker A: What? [00:38:41] Speaker E: And then pulls back out. [00:38:48] Speaker A: What so when she goes to pull her hand away, you grab it and pull it back. And as you lean in and say that, you watch, the whole place shuts up, everyone shuts up, and everyone turns and looks, and she, as you, rises herself up 2ft taller, opens her mouth, and you see that she doesn't have canines. She has fangs, tube hollowed fangs. And she just. And she pulls her hands back, and you watch, and as you were holding on, her hand isn't just scarred from the cut, it's burned and smoking, and she just fights, and she just, like, slithers back away from you, like, lowering herself and coils up the mast on one side of the room. [00:39:34] Speaker C: Do I have time on the way to the pit to stop by Greta and ask if. Yeah, for sure. [00:39:46] Speaker A: There's a preparatory couple minutes. [00:39:48] Speaker C: Hey, Greta. [00:39:49] Speaker D: What's up? [00:39:51] Speaker C: I'm losing a little juice here. [00:39:53] Speaker D: Yes. [00:39:54] Speaker C: So I was wondering if you could do a little bit of healing. [00:39:57] Speaker D: You look fabulous. [00:39:58] Speaker C: Oh, thank you. Thank you. If you could just do a little bit of healing so I don't use up any more juice. [00:40:05] Speaker A: Blood matted down her face. [00:40:06] Speaker D: Absolutely, yeah. [00:40:10] Speaker C: Because your girl's got, like, two spell slots. I didn't think that through, but I can work with it. Oh, I don't have. I have, like, three. No, I have more first level ones. I'll be okay. But I was wondering if you could. That's. That's my inner monologue, not Rose. [00:40:26] Speaker A: Somebody's ready for combat. [00:40:28] Speaker B: So I, as rose walk. As rose walking over there, I also want to go up to her, and I want to take one of the leaves that I picked up from my dream forever ago, and I'm going to hold it in my hand and sit on it a little bit and turn it into a paste. And I'm gonna say, don't press digitate. Don't press digitate this. And I, like, wipe it across her forehead, and I cast obdurate on her and. [00:40:55] Speaker C: You cast what? You cut out obdurate for me? [00:40:57] Speaker B: I cast obdurate on her. [00:40:58] Speaker C: What does that do? [00:41:00] Speaker B: It makes you immune from being charmed. And you also have advantage on Christmas saving throws. [00:41:05] Speaker C: Holy crap. [00:41:09] Speaker B: Wait, so that was one of the leaves from the dream that I had of Zorgo, my sister. So it's very special. That's the reason why is because we're here. Zorgom stuff for an hour. [00:41:22] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [00:41:23] Speaker D: That's awesome. [00:41:24] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a third. [00:41:25] Speaker A: That's pretty sick, boss. Awesome. Holy crap. Oh, what does it look like? Is. Oh, well, you described the component casting. Is there anything more to the magic, or is it just that? [00:41:36] Speaker B: I mean, that's as I trace the. The herbal, like paste, like, shimmers golden as it originally is applied, and then it dries into, like, a flaky, dark brown, like, sick, unordinary or. [00:41:51] Speaker C: Guys, I just want you all to know this is the dirtiest I've ever gone into battle. [00:41:56] Speaker B: Caked in blood. [00:42:02] Speaker A: Ro's never been dirty, Jackie. [00:42:04] Speaker D: How. What's your hit point? [00:42:06] Speaker C: I'm at 27. [00:42:11] Speaker A: Yeah, somebody wanted to heal her or something especially. [00:42:13] Speaker E: Right. [00:42:15] Speaker B: Oh, I heal. I heal. I want to heal her as well, and I'm doing that. [00:42:18] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. [00:42:19] Speaker B: I don't want to take them over. Somebody else wants to do this. [00:42:21] Speaker E: No, no. [00:42:21] Speaker D: Go ahead, Landon. I can't do it. You're gonna fight. I. I'm not fighting. So I have all my spell. He spells. [00:42:29] Speaker C: That's true. Falls. [00:42:30] Speaker B: That's why I was asking. [00:42:31] Speaker C: Greta. [00:42:31] Speaker B: Okay, Greta, you can. Yeah, it makes more sense. You're smart. Yeah. [00:42:34] Speaker A: I'm big dumb. [00:42:38] Speaker D: I don't know what level I'm gonna cast. I'm gonna cast cure wounds at the fourth level. [00:42:44] Speaker C: Oh, big spender. Yeah. Thank you for the money for those points y'all all rolled, including you, Micah. You rolled your extra hit points I gave you. [00:42:55] Speaker D: All right, I haven't, but I will. It's three d. Eight, right? [00:43:04] Speaker C: For level four? Yes. No, it's four DM. [00:43:18] Speaker E: Get it? [00:43:19] Speaker C: Three four. [00:43:21] Speaker D: Never mind. I think I figured it out. [00:43:22] Speaker A: Okay. Dm. Yeah, that's right. Yes, ma'am. [00:43:30] Speaker D: Sorry. [00:43:31] Speaker B: Also obdurate to Zack spell, by the way. Don't try to google it. [00:43:34] Speaker C: Oh, I wasn't. [00:43:36] Speaker D: Okay, Jackie, you get 21 hit points. [00:43:42] Speaker C: Hey. Thank you. Are you. [00:43:45] Speaker D: I'm also. [00:43:46] Speaker C: Did you say 21? [00:43:47] Speaker D: 21. [00:43:49] Speaker C: 21. [00:43:50] Speaker D: I'm also going to cast aid on all three of you guys. [00:43:56] Speaker A: Oh. [00:44:00] Speaker D: Yeah. Each target hit point. Maximum and current hit points increase by five for the duration. And it's 8 hours long, so. [00:44:09] Speaker A: Whoa. That's awesome. [00:44:13] Speaker C: So we each get five hit points, you said? Yep. [00:44:17] Speaker D: So you would gain 26. [00:44:21] Speaker A: Total from the 21 21. [00:44:23] Speaker C: I was like, wait, what. [00:44:26] Speaker A: Face Jackie made when she looked up. 63 total. [00:44:34] Speaker D: What's your max, Jackie? [00:44:36] Speaker C: 89. [00:44:37] Speaker E: Oh, it's fine. [00:44:40] Speaker C: No, I'm. That's good. I'm good. And I have a couple. [00:44:43] Speaker A: What is. [00:44:43] Speaker C: I have a couple spell slots. You're good. [00:44:44] Speaker A: What does it look like? Is you cost those two spells. [00:44:47] Speaker E: Um. [00:44:50] Speaker D: Let me know if I can do this, DM. Um, I'm gonna say that cure wounds is. Is normal. Um, oh, actually, actually, I'm gonna, like, trace little patterns in on the blood, if, if she will let me. I'm gonna trace, like, like, kind of scratch away patterns in the blood on rose face. Um, and it doesn't look like any particular language. It looks like a language, but it's not something specific. I would say that Greta can, like, it knows enough about language to, like, make something that looks language esque. And then for aid, I'm gonna just, like, hum a little bit while I'm doing that. I know I probably can't technically cast your spells at the same time, but we'll just say that that's no flavor. [00:45:32] Speaker A: Flavortown. [00:45:32] Speaker D: We're in Flavor town, and I repeat some of the. I hum some of, like, the songs that I've heard roasting. Yeah, I just repeat some of those notes. Can I? Yeah, that's it. I repeat what I heard her play in the ring. [00:45:46] Speaker A: So with that, the energy builds in the tavern, and the crowd parts many with drinks. The crowd was excited. They come here for a good time. But you all have put on a different kind of show with the last one. And so the crowd is. The best way I know how to put it is this crowd who, everyone here has committed some sort of a violent crime. Not to stigmatize criminals. There's a lot of factors lead to it, but these people, who are very rough and difficult, have all fallen completely silent. And there's muttering and discussion, but everyone's quietly training coins around, placing bets around. [00:46:30] Speaker D: Sorry. I'm sorry. [00:46:32] Speaker A: What? I get it. Okay. And as everyone parts and makes a way for ro and Craig, for ro to walk. Walk back into the ring and for Craig to join Rose, like, okay, Craig, could you make, could you make an intimidation check? A retroactive intimidation check? [00:47:01] Speaker C: Can I assist? [00:47:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:47:05] Speaker C: Blood all over me. [00:47:07] Speaker A: Based on your. Well, and based on your performance in the ring. Yeah, Craig, you have advantage. You have the help, actually. [00:47:16] Speaker E: I'm so glad you did, Jackie. That was 20 when originally. So unnatural. 20. [00:47:29] Speaker A: Okay, so the crowd parts before you, and you all walk to the edge of. There's the space that the rest of the building is in, and then that huge, just square pit that goes down like 6ft at slanted walls where they would store all the salt here, however long ago. And it's just scraped clean and covered in white. And where you all can see now, all the dark patterns in the blood. And now you all can recognize, oh, that's some of rose blood smeared there and all the burn marks and all the bashes and the tall poles with the white gemstones at the top that create that invisible objurg field. And usually people are just forced to jump down now, but given the celebrity status have quickly earned, people rush up to help row down and lower her in. Craig, one guy tries and then starts falling over from the weight of you, and another guy has to run up and try and help. But you two are lowered down into the pit and there's this scraping against the stone as you lower down. As you all stand on the pit, Craig, you look up and the stone is elevated around. It's taller than both of you all, considerably. And the tall building looms ahead. And as you look up at the skies that caved in section of the roof just has the starry night sky above. And she looms coiled around that fallen beam to your left. And as you all look in the pit, Craig, she's just glaring at you, teeth bare, just. [00:48:49] Speaker C: Ro tries to give. [00:48:51] Speaker E: Like a force mile, like, is it the same lady? [00:48:56] Speaker A: Yeah, she's the one who runs. [00:48:59] Speaker E: So we're fighting? [00:49:02] Speaker A: No. [00:49:05] Speaker C: She produces a monster for us to fight. So because you did that, she's gonna be a nasty, big nasty boy. [00:49:13] Speaker B: Gonna be nasty. Nasty, nasty, nasty. I've been Shapiro impression. Nasty, nasty, nasty. [00:49:22] Speaker A: So you all are the purple and orange on the screen. Can you guys see that? And also remember, you can click on one of the tiles to make it larger than all the others so you can see in greater detail. [00:49:30] Speaker E: I have done so. [00:49:31] Speaker A: As you slide down into the pit, she raises her hand and the already quiet room falls dead silent. You can literally hear crickets chirping outside, and I mean quite literally. And as she raises her hands, she just says, today we have a privilege. Two fun guys fight here and we'll see if they endure. Here's Rowena. And she gestures a hand towards you, Craig, but it's more like she's just pointing at you with a clawed finger, giving you the opportunity to announce yourself. [00:50:11] Speaker E: Greg Dunnedley, as you say it, there's. [00:50:16] Speaker A: Just whispers all around the room. And people lean in and Greta, where you and Baz are standing at the side and tello, everyone's like looking at you all. Amazing. You hear them whispering like they killed Dolgoth killers. These are the ones who. And there's just whispers going all around them. They were in zest and, you know, like just talking all over. And she just nods and she just grimaces at you one more time and she says, good night. And she raises a hand and all of this black energy amasses around it, and there's these little zaps of, like, red and black lightning. And as she does, one of the gems lights up on her gauntlet. But then the one behind it that dimmed lights up, too. And there's just this flask of energy, and then they both go dim, and there's this smoke coming off her hand. And from the middle of the room, there's just this red flash, and this big lump of stone falls down in the middle of the space, and then it sort of, like, cracks and falls into pieces and then. Yeah, what's up, Craig? [00:51:25] Speaker E: Stone cutting. Check. Stone cutting, check. [00:51:30] Speaker A: Go ahead. Yeah, go ahead and make a stone code. [00:51:33] Speaker B: I knew that looks from somewhere. [00:51:40] Speaker E: Okay. Okay, so it is a. Okay. 16 times. Two times. Okay, so that would be eight plus 16. Eight plus 16. 24. 24. [00:51:58] Speaker A: Dang, Craig. Okay, that looks like hardened riverbank mud that's been conjured from somewhere. Yeah, like some pretty standard. That's like some sort of like a high loam mixed with sand mudd. But you can notice there's little fragments of reflective black, smooth stone, sharp edges, little obsidian fragments in it. And as it breaks apart, the porosity of those sections of the swollen, dried mud begins sprouting blood that sort of gushes over it and begin melting it slightly. And where the stone melts a little bit, this is all happening very quickly. It starts forming into clay, and the clay starts gathering, forming leg segments, and then slams together and starts making this rough body. Oh, that's big. Shoulders, arms, and just a rough, like someone shaped clay dully with their hands, head that's about 10ft tall. And I'm going to put that on the map. [00:53:12] Speaker C: We're so short. We're so Lizzo. [00:53:15] Speaker A: So that's going to be the Zyzol bottle. It's about the right size. And with that, I love you guys. Roll initiative. Okay. [00:53:30] Speaker C: Wait, so is it fully shaped now? Like it looks like a thing or nothing? [00:53:35] Speaker A: Yeah, looks like a roughly sculpted clay figure of some kind. [00:53:40] Speaker E: I got a five. [00:53:43] Speaker A: Oh, buddy. [00:53:45] Speaker C: Oh, boy. I got a 16. [00:53:51] Speaker A: Okay, I need to get the monster manual out. Okay, let's roll some initiative. That's bad. Initiative. Minus one, Dex. Okay, so the top of initiative. [00:54:14] Speaker C: Ro, are you serious? [00:54:17] Speaker A: Oh, Bob, I'm serious. What you doing, buddy? [00:54:21] Speaker C: Okay, bother. Okay, okay, fine. I. I'm gonna do a little. I'm gonna. I'm gonna stick with my little tried and true for the beginning shot, and I'm just gonna do a little. I think what I'll do is I'll kind of, I'll be like. I'm just gonna take a deep breath and be like. And then I'm gonna, like, turn around real quick as just a little movement to get the crowd going. [00:54:50] Speaker A: Okay. And there. And the crowd standing up on their feet and there's like, there's murmurs. Let's go. Go fungus. You're crazy. And people are shouting and screaming and. [00:55:01] Speaker C: So then I'm gonna play a little, like, a little, like, I don't know, like a little metal riff. And I'm gonna cast shatter. The second 2nd level is what. I'm gonna cast it out right now. And that is going to be a con save from you. [00:55:25] Speaker A: Okay, tighten. Oh, that was high. Um, that's a 20. Big old Connie boy. [00:55:39] Speaker C: Dang. Okay, so you're gonna take half damage, right? [00:55:42] Speaker A: Okay, wait, cuz wars out in the music. Boom. [00:55:47] Speaker C: I'm not crazy. Yeah, yeah. [00:55:49] Speaker A: Shockwaves fly toward it shutters and like, all these little cracks appear in the clay. How much damage he tyke. [00:55:58] Speaker C: Okay, so that's gonna be 13. 1415, 1617. Wait, no, twelve. Half of 17. [00:56:12] Speaker E: Eight and a half. [00:56:13] Speaker C: Okay, eight and eight. Take that half. I'm just kidding. [00:56:18] Speaker A: And so as you do, there's the boom. And the whole creature, like, shakes a little bit. Its structure, like, disassembles a little. You put some cracks in it, but as it cracks and dries, the structure heels back over and he just. And the creature, like, it has a crude face, like two pushed eyes, a vague mouth. [00:56:34] Speaker C: That's what I was gonna ask him. [00:56:38] Speaker A: And you look like you did a little damage to it. Okay, Craig, use ems upsums, boy. [00:56:44] Speaker E: First question, is the star splinter a melee weapon? [00:56:49] Speaker A: It is a melee weapon. [00:56:52] Speaker E: Okay. [00:56:52] Speaker A: If you hit something, like, with your hand, it's. That's melee. [00:56:56] Speaker E: Okay, so I. Dang, he kind of far, though. Is he actually that far? [00:57:01] Speaker A: He is actually that far. [00:57:05] Speaker E: Oh, but you have a walk. [00:57:07] Speaker A: You could get there. [00:57:09] Speaker E: Okay, so what I want to do is I want to unsheathe my star splinter and a tip rock and use improved. Define smite. [00:57:21] Speaker A: Holy crap. Oh, now you do have to roll the hit. That. That will always. That doesn't change. That'll always and forever be the thing with weapons, right? It's also really weird to be doing combat and not take out the rage ring for Craig. That's really weird. [00:57:36] Speaker C: I know. It's so weird. [00:57:38] Speaker A: And when I had to get the rage condition ring and I was like, oh, I guess I don't need that for the rest of this campaign, I'm so sorry. [00:57:44] Speaker E: What do I add to roll? The hit I have? [00:57:47] Speaker A: It will function the same way it always has. It's still strength plus proficiency. That isn't change at all. So the roll to hit is the exact same. [00:57:59] Speaker E: Strength plus. So that'd be nine plus 18, which is. [00:58:07] Speaker A: What was that? Nine plus what? [00:58:10] Speaker E: 1818. [00:58:11] Speaker A: Okay, well, you're definitely gonna hit 27. [00:58:17] Speaker D: Nice, Craig. [00:58:19] Speaker A: Yeah, that'll do it. That will definitely hit. Craig, what does it look like as you pull out star splinter and cut into this giant clay figure I'm gonna unsheath it. [00:58:28] Speaker E: And can I also say that I do a cantrip, that there's like, when I unsheath it, that there's like a whispers that flow out, like, just unintelligible, like, sick, sick, and, like. And then he's gonna start, like, running towards him and he's gonna go for the shins, you know, gotta break down. [00:58:50] Speaker A: Some. [00:58:53] Speaker E: And improve divine smite. That would mean that he. All right, I haven't dealt damage. [00:59:00] Speaker A: Right, sorry, you have to roll damage. Yeah, but see, you know the process and I know it's freaky at first because it's like, oh, it's totally different, but other than the spell casting and no rage, it's. It's very similar. You'll get the hang of it. Eight. [00:59:18] Speaker E: That's a d 816. Oh, wait, 16 plus 916 plus nine. What is that? [00:59:30] Speaker A: So you choose the way divine smite works. Just to make sure I clarify, you use as many as you pump in spell slots, so you can spend spell slots to do more damage. So if you do divine smite, you do an extra d eight of radiant damage. Because you have improved divine smite, you do two d eight radiant damage and you would be spending one spell slot. Now, if you have higher level spells, you could spend more spell slots and do even more damage. You. [00:59:56] Speaker E: I would think I'm going to do. [00:59:57] Speaker C: One more d eight. [00:59:58] Speaker E: So I have 16. [01:00:00] Speaker A: You'll. So you'll burn a second level spell slot, and that means that you will add on three d eight to what you roll. [01:00:06] Speaker D: Wow. [01:00:09] Speaker A: Yeah. Paladins. Nobody can deal more damage than a paladin. That's their thing. Five plus six damage records before. [01:00:19] Speaker E: So five plus 16 would be 21, plus nine would be 30. So 30 points of damage. [01:00:29] Speaker A: Holy crap, craig. So, craig, you reach to your hilt and you pull out star splinter, and you're in your silver. Oh, I still need to put the picture of your armor on. Patreon. You're in your armor and the red hip cape is flowing backward, and you have your warhawk and all of your scars and the gold flecked in it. And you have your beard, goatee. And as you go charging forward, instead of the boom from your feet, it's just from all your clanking armor. And as you run forward, you lift up star splinter, and that blue cyan lapis lazuli sword inside the platinum blade just all of a sudden, like, shines with a brighter blue. And those spurs flood out around the room, and the whole. I mean, the crowd start to get excited, and they're back to the. Shut up. Oh. Like, everyone's on the. I'm, like, one of the guys leans over so hard on his table, he, like, knocks the, like, pinwheel table over, and, like, some of the drinks fall off, somebody starts punching him. But you're running toward the creature, and as you do, the creature just really swings with an arm, and you duck under and you slide, and you just cut the leg completely in half. Just. And the clay just. And as the creature falls over to a leg, the clay reforms a little, but a bunch of the clay that you cut away has, like, has just, like, rolled away and become inanimate and is starting to harden. So the creature is now lopsided to a side where one leg is taller than the other, and the leg is crudely reforming. It's turned to warn you. Growling you can make a second attack, Craig. [01:01:58] Speaker E: Oh, my gosh. You're right. I can do a second attack. [01:02:01] Speaker A: You still have extra attack. That hasn't gone anywhere. [01:02:05] Speaker E: Yeah, that's good. I'm gonna do. I am going to do. Can I do thunder smite? Give me a second. [01:02:18] Speaker A: I'm just checking. You're keeping track of your spell slots, right? [01:02:21] Speaker E: Yes. Yes, I am. [01:02:22] Speaker A: Excellent. [01:02:27] Speaker E: Give me 1 second. [01:02:29] Speaker A: So the dopest thing about thunderous might, if the thing about the smite spells, if I understand correctly, is. Oh, I'm sorry. Go ahead. Go ahead. [01:02:39] Speaker E: No, you go ahead. I was just thinking. [01:02:42] Speaker A: Well, so you cast them, and then you stay concentrated on them, and when you hit, they happen. [01:02:49] Speaker E: I forgot about that, Landon, you warned me about this. Oh, I forgot to do it. Literally was like, hey, you mark by your concentration. [01:02:59] Speaker A: You can do them. Now, all the. All the smite spells are all bonus actions. They're designed so that a paladin can be like. And before I hit, I do blank. So you can cast it on your yourself, and then you're concentrating on it for a minute. So every time you need to use it, you can, and it'll just happen every time you hit the door. [01:03:19] Speaker E: Oh, my God. [01:03:20] Speaker A: It ends. Or unless you lose concentration. [01:03:23] Speaker E: What is. Hold on. So I'm not going to do that thing because that's a bonus action, right? [01:03:32] Speaker A: Yes. You have a bonus action to use this second attack, your multi attack. You have two attacks with your attack action. So you have a free bonus action. Unless you want to spend it on something else. [01:03:43] Speaker E: Well, I'm going to attack him again with one of my weapons. I'm going to use the star splinter again. [01:03:52] Speaker A: Right. [01:03:53] Speaker E: What's the weapon you have? [01:03:57] Speaker A: It's the strongest one you have. And you're still. You're still adding on all of your special extra damage dice from star Splinter, right? [01:04:04] Speaker E: Yes. [01:04:06] Speaker A: Okay, excellent. [01:04:06] Speaker E: So, yeah. [01:04:07] Speaker A: So roll it. [01:04:07] Speaker E: That one kind of stunk. Um, that would just be. [01:04:12] Speaker A: Remember, you have a high bonus. Oh, shoot, Craig. [01:04:15] Speaker E: So it was 14 just hits. Nine. [01:04:18] Speaker A: It does 14 just hits. Yep. [01:04:21] Speaker E: It just hits. [01:04:22] Speaker A: It's a big thing made out of clay. [01:04:26] Speaker E: Yeah. So 14 with that. I'm gonna say that. That. I mean, he goes for the groin. [01:04:35] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:36] Speaker E: Horrible. [01:04:38] Speaker A: Excellent. And go ahead and roll for Tim. [01:04:41] Speaker E: I'm gonna say. [01:04:43] Speaker A: Oh, go ahead. Yeah, describe if you want to. [01:04:45] Speaker E: I'm just gonna say, like, after breaking his chin, he's gonna just go, oh, wait. And try and, like, cut him in half. [01:04:53] Speaker A: Okay. [01:04:54] Speaker E: Horrible button. [01:04:55] Speaker A: Roll your damage now. I'm just checking. What was the reason you didn't want to do thunderous might? [01:05:02] Speaker E: Um. Oh, wait, could I still do it before this? [01:05:06] Speaker A: Yeah, it's a bonus action. You can do it before. [01:05:08] Speaker E: Oh, oh, okay. So. Okay. Oh, I thought I made. Before the turn. [01:05:13] Speaker A: No, no, no. It's. It's in your turn. You have the bonus action. The whole way that paladin set up, it's so that you can do a smite spell with your action every time. [01:05:23] Speaker E: Okay, can I. I'm gonna do that then. Is that okay? [01:05:25] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely it is. What does it look like as you cast? What's the flavor behind you casting thunderous smite on this guy's car? [01:05:31] Speaker E: I wanna say the. Right. Right after he hits his shin, the break of the shin almost starts to echo back, like the room, and then circles back as thunder. [01:05:47] Speaker A: That's freaking sick. [01:05:51] Speaker D: Can you imagine the sound of your shins? The sound of your bones breaking, echoing back, like, five times louder? [01:05:58] Speaker A: Yeah, that's freaking sick flavoring. What level are you kissing it at, Micah? [01:06:04] Speaker E: I'm just gonna do the first level. So that would be two d six, right? [01:06:12] Speaker A: Yes. Two d, six. Thunder damage. [01:06:14] Speaker E: Okay, five. [01:06:18] Speaker A: This about to be so much damage right now. [01:06:21] Speaker E: I'm at 17. Okay, now I'm going to do. Can I do improved divine smite, or was that just the first hit? [01:06:31] Speaker A: That's. You can do a divine smite every time if you want, I believe, but it is also. Hold on. No, it has an action economy to it, but I still have to take. [01:06:45] Speaker E: Up a spell slot for that, right? [01:06:46] Speaker A: Nope, nope. I forget. This is how paladins guys buckle in. Craig's gonna get very ridiculous. Buckle up. And this is the whole thing. This is the thing behind paladins. Craig, you could take more damage when you were a barbarian, but nobody deals more damage than a paladin. No, craig, here's the thing. Divine smite just happened. If you want to on a hit, you can pump more in. You can pump as many in as you have for spell slots. So if you want, you can now use additional spell slots to pump in more divine smite. [01:07:20] Speaker E: Okay, so I'm gonna use a spell slot to do first level spell slot. [01:07:28] Speaker A: So that's two first level spell slots expended. [01:07:33] Speaker E: Yes. So that would be one d. One d. Eight, right? [01:07:39] Speaker A: Nope. Two. Cause you. You're a high level paladin, so you have improved divine smite so that he might attack. What's your strength now, Craig? [01:07:49] Speaker E: My strength? Like my. My attack bonus or my strength? [01:07:52] Speaker A: Your modifier. [01:07:54] Speaker E: My modifier is plus five. [01:07:57] Speaker A: Plus five. Oh, didn't you get. [01:07:58] Speaker E: Sucks. I got one for each. I got one for each roll. [01:08:02] Speaker A: Oh, buddy. I'm sorry, but I thought. I thought your strength was. I thought your strength was a 22. Now, didn't you magically increase it or. No. [01:08:11] Speaker E: Oh, did I? [01:08:16] Speaker A: What did you. What did you got? [01:08:18] Speaker C: Two extra points. [01:08:20] Speaker A: What ability scores did you take from the. From the wellspring? Which. Which ability score did you increase? [01:08:25] Speaker E: I did it for charisma. Cause I'm a charisma caster. Now. Now. [01:08:29] Speaker A: Okay, no problem. I got confused. Excellent. No problem. Okay, so five. So that means that the damage on this is five. Plus one, d six slashing. Plus one, d six radiant. Plus two, d six, thunder. Plus two, d eight radiant. That's the damage on the spell right now. It's insane. That's crazy. [01:08:50] Speaker E: 19. [01:08:50] Speaker A: Plus 938-28-3838 no. [01:08:56] Speaker E: 30. [01:08:57] Speaker A: 819 plus 928. [01:08:59] Speaker E: You're right. [01:09:00] Speaker A: 28. But if you had said it one more time, I would have gone, okay. [01:09:08] Speaker E: 28. [01:09:10] Speaker A: Okay, 28. Holy crap, Craig. So describe what it is, what it's like as you thunder. As you thunder crotch chop. [01:09:18] Speaker E: This guy thunder. [01:09:22] Speaker C: Yep. [01:09:23] Speaker E: So, I mean, like, I said, I mean, he cuts through the shin. It echoes back as thunder. And I'm gonna say that when he meets. When the sword meets his crotch, that's when the thunder fully boomerangs back to the hit. And he's gonna try and, like, cut him in half. I don't think he's gonna make it all the way through, but he, like, tries as far as he can and then, like, brings it back. [01:09:55] Speaker A: 58 points of damage in one turn, which puts this at the third page. Damage at the third place damage record for this campaign of all time, just right off the bat. So you swing through. Yes. What's up, Hoffa? Yeah, that's fine, baby. So you, like, run by, cut his leg off. He reassembles as you're coming back around, there's that slicing just goes. And the sound echoes, and everyone in the room is knocked back. Row, you're almost knocked to your feet from a distance away, and the whole room just falls down. And as people fall down, they stand back up with liquor sloshing out of their tankers. And they just go. They would screaming and losing their mind. And as that smashing sound comes back, you do that thing where people roll their blades in their hand, and as you swing it back down to pick it back up, you come back and you cut into. This creature doesn't have genitals, but there is a crotch area. And you into the clay area, and it turns back toward you, angry. But then there's another. That thunderous sound starts to build again. And then you pull it up through the back of the hips, and you cut its hips in half, bisecting it, and it explodes apart. And a bunch of the clay chunks of, like, shatter down around you. The creature, its legs fall off of itself, and then it has to reassemble itself. And now it's all misshapen and uneven. Craig, this thing is already bloodied in one turn. Or let's call it kilned, because it's a clay creature. K I l n E D. So that's Craig's incredible turn. Holy crap. [01:11:34] Speaker C: Did it's, like, growing. [01:11:35] Speaker A: Yeah, it's reattached itself now. Yeah, it's like. It's like pulling, but it's losing more massive pieces every time. Okay, so now it's the creature's turn. [01:11:43] Speaker C: But it's able to, like. [01:11:45] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. So it's gonna turn around and try and. Okay, so the clay golem is going to stand back up, around and ball up its clay fists. And then before it does anything, it's going to go and it's going to start vibrating and it's going to cast haste on itself. And so as it starts vibrating faster and faster, its ac increases and it also has more attacks now. [01:12:25] Speaker C: Rude. [01:12:26] Speaker A: So it's going to roll to hit you three times. And, wow. That is the full spectrum of rolls there. The first one is an eleven to hit. Craig, I assume that misses. [01:12:42] Speaker E: It misses. [01:12:44] Speaker A: Look, like block the first blow, a big, big clay fist comes barreling up to you. [01:12:50] Speaker E: Shield, right? [01:12:52] Speaker A: You have a shield. Now. [01:12:54] Speaker E: I'm going to say, guys, this was half of his ac. I want to clarify that. So I'm going to say that he just brings up his shield and then does one of those. Are you serious? Looks like really? That's what you have? And just like casually blocks. He goes, really? [01:13:15] Speaker A: As the fist comes up, Craig, you just lift up your shield. You just, you split your stance, squat down into. You are already incredibly powerful and now your magically powerful legs and the fist just bounces off the shield and the whole room roars. One of the guys, like, flips one of the tables, somebody picks up a barrel and just smashes it on a wall. People are screaming. One guy's just sitting there, just beat like gorilla, beating his chest. A woman has gotten down on her knees, is pulling her hair and is like crying, screaming. People are having intense reactions. They're also really drunk. Next one. One is going to be a 21 to hit. Does that hit? [01:13:53] Speaker E: It does hit. It's my ac. [01:13:57] Speaker A: Okay. Which is an incredible ac, but it's got a big modifier. So 21, after you block with the shield, you go and you don't finish. Really? You go. And then the other arm from the left side comes around and just clubs you over the head from the back where you weren't looking. And that is going to deal. Two D, ten. So, Craig, you are going to take nine, plus 514 points of bludgeoning damage. Hoffa's waving high. That is not reduced. Cause you are no longer barbarians. So you take 14 points of damage. That's the one trade in this is, right. You get clubbed over the head. No, there's not a dragon on the battlefield. [01:14:42] Speaker C: Oh, thank God. [01:14:49] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll fix it later, baby. I'll fix it. Okay. Hoffa's saying there's gonna be a dragon later. It's a spoiler. [01:14:59] Speaker C: Oh, no. [01:15:00] Speaker A: If Hoffa wills it. [01:15:03] Speaker C: But we're at level 20, right, Hoffa? So it's fine. [01:15:07] Speaker A: No, no, I know things. And then she said, I know things. Okay. Are you good? On that math, Craig. [01:15:22] Speaker E: Yeah. 128. [01:15:24] Speaker A: Excellent. And then the third roll to hit. Holy crap, that's a lot of hit points. The third roll to hit was a 23. So as you're reeling from being knocked over the head, that other hand reaches back behind you, grabs the back of your head, and just pulls your head into its clay head, and its head hardens into straight and just. [01:15:42] Speaker D: Whoa, that's awesome. [01:15:44] Speaker A: Bashes your head against, and you're gonna take another. Not rolling high on that eight. Plus 513 points of bludgeoning damage. So that's the end of its turn. Now at the top of initiative. Ro, it would be you. [01:16:06] Speaker C: Oh, no, Craig. [01:16:08] Speaker A: You really got under that yuan t woman's skin. [01:16:11] Speaker C: Oh, no. [01:16:12] Speaker A: She was already a hateful person. She's just gonna hiss and quietly whispering to herself. That third gem, or that first one that was dimmed and got lit up again is gonna flare. And from in between Craig and Ro, there's just this sudden spurt of red fire. [01:16:30] Speaker C: So there is a dragon. No, just kidding. [01:16:33] Speaker A: And there can be if you want. [01:16:34] Speaker C: No, thank you. [01:16:41] Speaker A: And roaring to life, there's this column of flame that just forms and then simmers down, but the flame column stays and it's got a red hue to the edge of its tint. And it smells kind of like evap, like singed blood. It has a very irony scent to it. And the pillar of flame kind of grows some arms, and there's like redder parts in the face. And a fire elemental is summoned in between the two of you. This fight was scheduled with one monster, but she did remember that, Craig. And a fire elemental has entered initiative. [01:17:22] Speaker C: Wonderful. Quite wonderful. [01:17:24] Speaker D: Dude, she remembered the burn. [01:17:26] Speaker C: What is the. What did the crowd. Oh, she did remember the burn. [01:17:30] Speaker A: Oh, the crowd just gasps in, looking amazed. Okay, okay, ro, it's your turn. What are you doing? [01:17:37] Speaker C: Oh, so. Okay, wait, so it's. It's initiative was just joining. Okay, I understand. Okay. Okay. Um, so it's right there. It's a 110. [01:17:50] Speaker A: Okay. [01:17:51] Speaker C: Um, sorry, I was looking to see where it was. Okay, I'm gonna. Oh, I don't even know. You can't. [01:18:06] Speaker A: You have to cast a spell or take an. [01:18:09] Speaker C: You said it's got eyes and stuff. [01:18:12] Speaker A: It's got a kind of fiery, like. [01:18:14] Speaker C: There'S not a particular face to this thing, but like a kind of face. [01:18:17] Speaker A: Are you talking about the clay golem or the fire elemental? [01:18:19] Speaker C: The fire guy. The fire. [01:18:21] Speaker A: It's a burling. It's a burning, swirling pillar of fire with vague, fiery like pseudopod arms. And there are just brighter spots. One burning here and one burning here. And then the mouth, brighter than being a brighter heat is like a darker red. So there's like, kind of a face, but the face, like, the whole thing is falling apart and regaining form all the time. Burning and swirling and hissing with heat. [01:18:43] Speaker C: Okay, cool. [01:18:45] Speaker A: Moving toward Craig. [01:18:46] Speaker C: I think I'm gonna. I'm working with what I have here. I think I'm gonna cast desonate whispers. [01:18:54] Speaker A: Okay. [01:18:55] Speaker C: On the fire elemental. What kind of saving choice that, that's, that's gonna be a wisdom saving throw. [01:19:05] Speaker A: Okay, well, it's not particularly wise. I rolled 13. Well, I know it succeeds. What does your spell casting look like? [01:19:12] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm gonna, I'm gonna take another deep breath because rose, like, but rose, like, bloodied, and she's like. I mean, she's not bloodied, but I mean, she's got blood all over her. [01:19:25] Speaker A: And she's not far from bloodied. [01:19:27] Speaker C: Yeah. And I think she's gonna, like, I think maybe she's gonna yell out, like, okay, let's, let's rock and roll. And she starts, like, playing more on her loot and, like, kind of head banging. Like, she's just kind of like, okay, I don't know what's happening here, and, um, I it's psychic damage, but I think she's playing off the fire of the dude. And so it's gonna be like, purple, green and gold. Like, flames start, like, shooting out, and, like, they're shooting out. You hear kind of like, with, with Craig's sword because it's destiny whispers, you're gonna hear like a, like, kind of like, you know, like with, like, gold flicks coming off of it. Given that. That makery flavor and where that balls. [01:20:23] Speaker A: Where those balls of fire impact the creature, they just burn off of it or are built up in its form. It takes no damage. But that whispering sound. Everywhere it happens, the flame creature burns away and looks at it, and it is fully turned away from Kregan toward you. [01:20:37] Speaker C: Oh, boy. [01:20:38] Speaker A: And how much damage do you deal? [01:20:40] Speaker C: Da da da da. Okay, that is gonna be twelve points of damage. [01:20:50] Speaker A: Excellent. And what is the other suffers now? [01:20:54] Speaker C: It's if must immediately use its reaction, if available, to move as far as its speed allows, away from you. It doesn't move into obvious dangerous ground. [01:21:06] Speaker A: Okay, can you reaction like that? Yeah. [01:21:08] Speaker C: Yeah. And, oh, and as a bonus action, I'm gonna give some bardic inspiration to my partner in crime crew. [01:21:24] Speaker A: Why not me? [01:21:28] Speaker C: I'll give it to you in yours, bozzy boy. [01:21:32] Speaker E: How much is the inspiration. [01:21:35] Speaker C: Or that's a D. It's a D ten. [01:21:38] Speaker A: Holy crap. I forget it's a D ten. [01:21:40] Speaker C: Now I know it's crazy. [01:21:41] Speaker A: So, Ro, as you play those discordant notes and frighten the creature again, there's this interaction where that gold fire, you watch the red center of the creature flicker and flinch as if that deep magic is disturbing its form. [01:21:56] Speaker B: And it's like the last flame. Am I right, boys? [01:22:02] Speaker A: And the fire just burns down into a line on the floor and just burns like a column of fire across the ground, losing all its form to get away from you and then just returns opposite. It's very far away from you in the room now, far past Craig and Craig. As you watch the creature run in fear away from Ro, you feel the inspiration and the power that wells from within you all. Greta and Boz, where you're standing in the crowd, you all watch us. The crowd psyched and excited, but this place was packed. And now, like, people are climbing up onto walls to see. You all watch as there's, like, there's like, a thudding sound on the roof. Someone's brought, like, a 20 or 30 foot ladder from outside. And you all watch. People are gathering on the roof now. And Boz, with your tall, heightened perspective, you look at and you look back at the crowd. The crowd's going out the door. People from all along the industrial street in the middle of the night, you all are gathering, a huge crowd, and people are whispering back and forth, relaying what's happening in the fight, their fights breaking out here just for people to get closer and see. People are taking the very dangerous choice of edging along the wall, like, in between that and the pit just to be able to see the fight. And there's, like, broken sections of the brick all around the building where people are climbing up and, like, looking in from where they can see. And there's, like, shouting happening from all around the building now as people are relaying events of the fight out to other people, people are climbing up on people's shoulders. You're drawing a crowd of what looks like maybe 150 people now, maybe more. Wow. Anyone who's in the vicinity at night is coming to try and get close to whatever's happening here. Can I try to start a second? Yes. [01:23:40] Speaker B: Rowan Craig. [01:23:41] Speaker A: Rowan Craig, give me a performance check and is helping you. So I'll say at advantage. [01:23:49] Speaker B: Thank you, because that was a nat one. Hey, let's see what my performance bonus is. I don't know. [01:23:58] Speaker A: I haven't done this ever. [01:24:00] Speaker B: Okay, that would be. That would be a solid 15. [01:24:10] Speaker A: With advantage. [01:24:11] Speaker B: Yes, with advantage. That is a 15. [01:24:15] Speaker A: Well, the crowd's already pretty pumped, so it's not the most uproarious. There are other things going on, but half the crowd is going. Rowan Craig. Rowan Craig. And everyone who has a drink is. Is just slamming on the people, and people are stomping on the stone. So it's just this ruckus, like, deafening in here. [01:24:37] Speaker E: Is it like watching? [01:24:39] Speaker A: What'd you say, Greg? [01:24:41] Speaker E: Like, does it shake? Does it shake things up a little bit? Like, for us? [01:24:44] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:24:45] Speaker A: There's so much force that all. All that. All that gathered calcified salt in the pit is, like, vibrating with the sound. People are pounding on the walls. The whole building is literally vibrating. That's Rose. Turn on the fire elemental summoned. That's its turn. So back to no. Next, it's Craig. What's up, Craig? What's up, Kevin? [01:25:08] Speaker E: Hi. If I wanted to cast a spell, I'd have to break concentration, right? [01:25:15] Speaker A: No, only if it's another concentration spell. If it's not a concentration spell, don't break concentration. My gosh. [01:25:23] Speaker E: Then can I cast sanctuary? [01:25:28] Speaker A: I mean, let's look at it. What's its action? Economy. Is it an action or bonus? Action. [01:25:33] Speaker E: So it is. Let me see. Wait, it has a component? Does it have to have a component? [01:25:46] Speaker A: Components count. Unless. So if you have a casting focus, which you do, then you have the symbol, the maker burned in crystal in your hand, so you don't. The only components you need to worry about are the ones that cost money. If it's a monetary component, then your casting focus does not count. But because this is not a monetary component, you don't need it, so you don't. You can cast it anyway. [01:26:08] Speaker C: Is sanctuary a paladin spell? [01:26:11] Speaker E: It comes with one of my features. [01:26:14] Speaker A: It comes with his subclass. [01:26:16] Speaker E: My subclass. Yeah. So. [01:26:21] Speaker A: So basically what that looks like, craig. [01:26:27] Speaker E: I'm gonna say, as I'm holding the sword, I'm gonna say that the light starts to grow out and it starts to, like, cover me in a way. Like, as the light, you know, grows out and it just starts getting brighter and brighter, it starts forming this kind of, like, protection around me and. Sanctuary? Yeah. [01:26:55] Speaker A: Now, are you casting that on row or on YouTube? [01:26:59] Speaker E: Uh, hey, I'm not gonna lie. I was doing a lot of research. Is ro. Ro, are you good? [01:27:08] Speaker C: Yeah, you're fine. I'm fine. You're good. [01:27:10] Speaker E: You're good. [01:27:11] Speaker C: I can. I can. [01:27:12] Speaker E: I'll be good on you. [01:27:14] Speaker C: I think we're good for now. I think you're. You're Gucci. Do what you need to do. [01:27:20] Speaker E: I'm gonna put it on me. He's kind of strong now. [01:27:25] Speaker A: Yeah. Heck, yeah. So the blinding light builds and the clay golem in front of you just to shield its face, and you get the end. Like, everyone in the room is, like, squinting but still trying to see. And for a second, Craig briefly shines like the dawn. And then when the light falls down, his armor, all of the, like, glyphic creases where the metal meets is still emanating some, like, glowing pure, like, white with the light off of that silver. So that's an incredible bonus action. What are you doing with your action, Chris? [01:27:53] Speaker E: So for my action, I am going to use a star splinter again. [01:27:59] Speaker A: Yeah, that makes sense because it's the best. [01:28:01] Speaker E: It's the best. Let me roll it ahead. Hey, can I. Do I get to use. Oh, wait, I have bardic inspiration. Can I use that right now? [01:28:14] Speaker A: Mm hmm. [01:28:16] Speaker E: Okay. Okay, hold on 1 second. Nothing big. Just looking for my d ten. Got it. [01:28:28] Speaker A: There's a lot of math here. [01:28:29] Speaker E: Okay, that's an eight plus four. So eight plus four is twelve. So roll to hit. I use my. And then it's nine. [01:28:43] Speaker A: Yep. 21. [01:28:45] Speaker E: Got it. [01:28:46] Speaker A: 21 will hit. Now, you can go ahead and roll damage, or you can roll your second roll to hit to see if you just go ahead and twice. Up to you. [01:28:52] Speaker E: I'm going to do that one. What you just said. [01:28:55] Speaker A: Okay. [01:28:57] Speaker E: Hey, can I use inspiration, like, my own inspiration to redo that hit? [01:29:03] Speaker A: If you have inspiration, you can. [01:29:05] Speaker E: Yeah. Because I'm pretty funny, and you give it to me a lot. What? I'm just kidding. [01:29:09] Speaker A: I mean, it's on your sheet, right? [01:29:12] Speaker E: Okay. I'm so glad I did that because it's 18, so 18 plus nine. I mean, yeah, 27. [01:29:25] Speaker A: So both will hit. So go ahead and roll damage twice. And remember, you can pump as much divine smite into this as you want, and you still have thunderous smite on both attacks. [01:29:38] Speaker E: The six plus one seven. I am going to use divine smite. Can I do it at the third level? [01:29:47] Speaker A: Uh huh. Which means that you're adding five. D eight on now, Mike, I'm just going to keep some track of this myself, just for my own math here. So your strength modifier is five. That goes twice, that's ten. Star splinter is two. D six. You've done it with two attacks. That's four. D six. You get a thunderous smite. So. Oh, my goodness. Paladins. It's really fun to be damning. For a paladin, this is going to get crazy. Oh, my goodness. Micah, you're about to put some numbers on the board. Greta's damage record has been good while it lasted. Okay, so thunder is might. Every time. Every time you hit or the first time you hit? [01:30:38] Speaker E: Just the first time I hit. [01:30:40] Speaker A: So thunderous smite is just the first time you hit. So thunderous smite is expended. [01:30:46] Speaker E: So it doesn't. It won't do anything now. [01:30:49] Speaker A: No, you would have to recast it. You've already cast sanctuary this turn, so that's my bad. No, thunderous might this turn. I apologize. [01:30:55] Speaker E: Okay, that's. All right. [01:30:58] Speaker A: So right now I'm at. You did a third level divine smite, so. And your divine smite was already two d eight. So that means you're at. Is that four d, eight or five? D, eight. Holy crap. Yeah. So that means. That means you're at 48 on this. So that's ten plus 46 plus 48, which is crazy. [01:31:33] Speaker E: Wait, wait, say it again. [01:31:36] Speaker A: So, five is your strength modifier. You hit with both hits. So that's five plus five, that's ten. Star splinter deals two, d, six. So that's two, d, six twice, which is four, D six. So we're at ten plus four, d six. And then you did a third level divine smite, so that's four, d, eight. So you're at 1048 plus four, d six, d eight. Yeah. [01:32:00] Speaker E: Okay. [01:32:02] Speaker A: Which is insane. And then plus two, because of star splinter. Oh, my goodness, Micah, this is gonna be nuts. Yeah. Cause star splinter is a plus one weapon, so it always deals one extra damage. Going to hit. Oh, we'll get there, we'll get there, we'll get there. [01:32:28] Speaker E: Hold on. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm doing so much math right now. So for the first. The first hit. So 19 plus nine is 28. And they said because the star center. It's an extra. [01:32:41] Speaker A: Yeah, it's an extra one. So 29, 29 plus. [01:32:51] Speaker E: That's for the first hit. So I'm going to do the second one now. Okay. So. [01:32:58] Speaker A: That. I'm just checking. That was five, plus one, plus two, D six, plus 48. Right? [01:33:05] Speaker E: Plus one. You're going to have to talk a little bit slower. [01:33:10] Speaker A: No problem. Just keep going. Just keep going with the second hit. I trust your math. I trust your math. Okay, so this. This second hit, you're doing two d, six. Six plus five plus one. Right. [01:33:19] Speaker E: Four d, eight. [01:33:21] Speaker A: You would need to pump in another third level divine smite. Do you do that? You can. Is this making sense? So, the way divine smite works is that every time you hit, you can add on divine spike, but you just have to spend the spell slots. [01:33:42] Speaker E: I I'm gonna. I'm gonna do it again at third level. [01:33:46] Speaker A: Excellent. So this one is, again, two D six. Plus five. Plus one, plus 48. Holy crap. This is nuts, Micah. Guys, this is gonna be crazy. [01:34:01] Speaker E: It's 82. 10. 16. Wait. Oh, that's just two. Okay, wait, hold on. [01:34:14] Speaker A: You're good. It's wild to see how far you've come from being like, now what's my to hit modifier? And now you're managing all these dice equals 26. [01:34:26] Speaker E: Okay, that's. That's 26. Holy crap. [01:34:32] Speaker A: So. [01:34:32] Speaker C: Oh. [01:34:33] Speaker A: 27. [01:34:34] Speaker E: 27. Wait, why did you say plus five? Why'd you say plus five? [01:34:39] Speaker A: That's your strength modifier. Every hit has plus five on it. [01:34:41] Speaker E: Yeah, but attack bonus is five plus your proficiency bonus, right? [01:34:48] Speaker A: Yeah, but your damage rolls still add your strength on. Yeah, and you've always done that. Your damage roll always adds your strength on. It's always your damage dice plus your strength, because your strength is what's hitting them. [01:35:07] Speaker E: So my attack bonus, plus nine, plus. [01:35:10] Speaker A: Five, again, no roll to hit is strength plus proficiency. That will always be the case. A damage roll is always all your damage dice, plus your strength modifier, always. [01:35:25] Speaker E: Gotcha. [01:35:26] Speaker A: Yeah. So after you're done rolling your dice, you'll always add five on. [01:35:33] Speaker E: Gotcha. Gotcha. [01:35:35] Speaker A: All right, does that change either of those two damage rolls? [01:35:38] Speaker E: No. So 16. Oh, shoot. No, it was 26, right? [01:35:45] Speaker A: Yes. [01:35:45] Speaker E: 26 plus one. No, it was just 26. [01:35:53] Speaker A: Official DM ruling. I'm calling it 27. [01:35:55] Speaker E: 27. [01:35:56] Speaker A: All right, so that means that you just dealt. You just outdid your own thing with your next turn. So now, that was 67. No. 66 points of damage, which now means, Craig, that in two turns, you have dealt 124 damage. In two turns. Wow. 124 damage. [01:36:20] Speaker C: Holy crap. [01:36:23] Speaker A: Two turns? That's insane. And you haven't even used a fourth level divine smite with yet. And if you want to get really crazy, Craig, you haven't even critted yet. Wait till you start critting with a paladin. It gets crazy. All right, Craig, what does it look like as you deal 66 points of damage to this thing? Go ham on the flavor. [01:36:49] Speaker E: I think after it, like, hits me. Oh, wait, you know what it is? So you know how he, like, put me to its head and, like, tried to hurt me there? I'm gonna say after that, like, did he. Did we say that he, like, did he throw me or like. [01:37:07] Speaker A: No, you're just so right in front of him. [01:37:09] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna grab his neck. No, I can't because I have the star sponger. I'm going to off his. His neck, like his head sick. [01:37:25] Speaker A: Well, I would say that that's really strong flavoring, but he's at one hit point, so. Yeah. Craig, with 66 damage, as the creature's holding you, you push its arm aside with your shield, put your sword down, and you just. And as star splinter just turns into a silver cut in the air, a silver line just through the head, there's this flash of white light, and the head does not slide off. It explodes from the radiate damage pumped into it. And the golem's head just explodes across the room, and the golem drops you. And now on the golem's turn, I'm gonna say that with one hit point and no head, all of its attacks are disadvantaged because it can't see. So stumbling around limply swinging, it's going to try and hit you at disadvantage. Misses, misses, misses. Three misses. So, Craig, as it stumbles around without a head, it just. And you're just stepping out of the way as it's blindly missing. And the crowd is screaming, ro, you're awesome. But the crowd is just chanting. [01:38:42] Speaker C: No, I is it safe to say that as this is happening, I'm, like, chanting it with them? Like, I'm like, come on, Craig. Craig. [01:38:49] Speaker E: Craig. [01:38:52] Speaker A: And Greta and Boz. The crowd is building outside. The street is filling around the building like people are waking people up around here to come watch. [01:39:03] Speaker D: I'm gonna whisper to Boz and I'm gonna say, boz, did you see any trees on the way here? Cause we need to make a cookie. [01:39:10] Speaker B: Uh, no, I did not. [01:39:13] Speaker D: Okay. [01:39:14] Speaker A: Don't worry. [01:39:14] Speaker B: I can fly, so I'll be okay. [01:39:16] Speaker D: Okay. I'm glad that you'll be okay. [01:39:18] Speaker B: Listen, you can fly on my. I can turn into a giant bird eagle thing, and you can just jump. [01:39:23] Speaker D: On all four of us. All three of us. [01:39:26] Speaker B: I could probably carry you in a. [01:39:27] Speaker A: Row, except you guys are having to do that thing at concerts where you shout to each other right next to each other because it's so thunderingly loud in here. Yeah, we could just ask the snake. [01:39:40] Speaker B: Lady to circle, circle, circle us away somewhere else. [01:39:44] Speaker D: I think I want to do that. [01:39:47] Speaker A: All right, it's now the fire elementals. [01:39:49] Speaker C: Turn rue of it to do that. [01:39:54] Speaker A: It can only get back to Craig with its movement. [01:39:57] Speaker C: Sorry, Craig. [01:40:00] Speaker E: Don't worry, it has to roll. A wisdom saving throw. [01:40:05] Speaker A: It does. Which it will. Why does it have to spell save DC, Craig. [01:40:12] Speaker E: Spell safe. DC is 15. [01:40:16] Speaker A: It fails. Man, that armor is awesome. So Craig, as it comes back over, it raises up its fiery hands and it, and as it burns its hands down toward you, you just look at it and your eyes flare with light and your mohawk, like, you all watch as Craig's warriors, like a little golden fire, like, burns down it really quickly. And as his eyes flare, the creature just flinches back. And because it's not in range of row, just doesn't take an attack. That turn. Incredible. The firing elemental's turn is just canceled. That's awesome. Common initiative is. Ro, what you doing? Ro? [01:40:59] Speaker C: Oh, no. Okay. Um, okay. On. [01:41:03] Speaker A: And then she summons another monster. [01:41:05] Speaker C: No, on that. Fire. Fire. Dude, I'm gonna cast scatter at the third level. [01:41:21] Speaker A: Heck yeah. [01:41:25] Speaker C: It's a con save. I don't know. [01:41:30] Speaker A: Where are you centering the shatter point? Row. It's an aoe spell. Where are you centering the point? [01:41:35] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, shoot. Fire. It's within. [01:41:41] Speaker A: Mmm. [01:41:45] Speaker C: Hold on, hold on, hold on. It's okay. It's five. Is it 5ft from Craig or is it like on Craig? On Craig. Okay, 5ft. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, so, okay, the thumbs up is confusing me. I center the point, I guess, on the other side of it from Craig where it'll hit it. But not Craig. He's mod. Yes. I don't understand the thumbs up. It was very confusing, but okay, I'm sure. [01:42:24] Speaker A: Constitution saving throw. [01:42:25] Speaker C: Yes, sir. [01:42:28] Speaker A: Fail. [01:42:30] Speaker C: Okay, so high spell saves. I'm gonna do a. Sorry. 1 second. No way. I go. That's gonna be mei. No, I'm just kidding. It's gonna be my. [01:42:57] Speaker D: I don't know what that song. Where that. I don't know. [01:43:00] Speaker C: You don't know? That's in sync. [01:43:02] Speaker E: That's Britney. That. [01:43:04] Speaker C: Oh, no, no, no. [01:43:07] Speaker E: It's not Brittany. That's Britney. I thought it was Britney. [01:43:13] Speaker D: We love Britney. [01:43:14] Speaker C: That's gonna be 17. [01:43:16] Speaker D: Does Brittany have a book? I feel like she needs one. [01:43:19] Speaker E: Yeah, because I have told me it wasn't Britney. [01:43:22] Speaker A: She does not speak the western world edition. [01:43:26] Speaker E: It's in sync. [01:43:28] Speaker C: Yes. [01:43:28] Speaker D: He's on the first and second editions. [01:43:30] Speaker C: Because a girl was singing it. Me. 17 points of damage. [01:43:37] Speaker A: Well, it booms outward. And as the shock waves, like, roll over, the creature sort of like undulates, goes like. And it, like, expands and contracts. So the fire, like, flares, like. And as it comes back together, more of the fire is burned away, and it's struggling to maintain its form a little. It looks a little hurt. It looks like you guys have done some serious damage to it, and I'm. [01:43:56] Speaker C: Gonna give inspiration again to Craig. [01:43:58] Speaker A: O. Craig, another G. Ten gracious denied. Craig, it's your turn. [01:44:04] Speaker E: Zack. Zack, would you say that this creature understands my language? [01:44:10] Speaker A: Which one? [01:44:11] Speaker C: Which language or which creature? [01:44:15] Speaker E: Oh, I mean, like, the fiery guy. Do you think that he understands, like. [01:44:19] Speaker A: No. [01:44:20] Speaker E: The words. No, he doesn't. Dang nabbit. Dang nibbits. [01:44:23] Speaker A: But deepest speech can be understood by all. [01:44:26] Speaker E: No, I was thinking command. I was just gonna be like, hey, you sit down for your whole next turn. [01:44:31] Speaker C: Sit down. [01:44:33] Speaker D: He's got one hit point left. [01:44:35] Speaker C: Yeah, Clay has one hit point left. [01:44:38] Speaker E: I know, but that would be so funny if you just sat down. Crisscross applesauce for the whole next. I was like, you know what? [01:44:43] Speaker C: The next week, we go sit around him because he's like a campfire. I get out. [01:44:48] Speaker A: What you doing? [01:44:50] Speaker E: So I'm gonna take a little hitty hit on our old Clay guy. I'm gonna do star Splinter. I'm not gonna do anything crazy. Crazy. I'm crazy this time. Oh, that's just a natural 20 plus 29. Okay, 25. [01:45:15] Speaker A: I'm not. No, that's 21. I'm not telling you how to live your life, but if you wanted to pump every just my divine smite in the world into this, you could set a new damage record then. [01:45:27] Speaker E: I could. However, he's already at one hit point. Why would I do that? [01:45:34] Speaker A: Follow your dreams. So, roll for damage. Then you also don't have to. You can just say he dies. I mean, he's at one hit point. He will die. You don't have to roll damage if you don't want to. [01:45:49] Speaker E: He dies. Okay, so that would be a nine because it's nine plus five, right? Or is it nine plus nine? [01:46:00] Speaker A: So you roll. The hit is proficiency plus strength. That is the only time proficiency factors in to a melee attack. Efficiency plus strength. Roll to hit. Your damage is all your damage. Dice plus strength. So damage will only ever be plus five. Now, if you want to just permanently remember it this way, star Splinter is a plus one weapon, so you can treat it forever like it's a plus six instead of a plus five. But that's always going to be a flat number. [01:46:32] Speaker E: So it's nine plus six. [01:46:35] Speaker A: Yes. [01:46:35] Speaker E: So is nine plus six is going to be 15. [01:46:39] Speaker A: So, Craig, turn around, and you just. How do you want to do this. [01:46:45] Speaker E: I. [01:46:48] Speaker A: Man, you've had a lot of. How do you want to do these? [01:46:50] Speaker E: I am going to carve a piece of it out and put it in my pocket. [01:46:57] Speaker A: Oh, that's brutal. So as it's swinging listlessly around, Craig just sticks star splinter up and sticks it so far through, up to the hilt that the blade out the other side and the whole creature just stops its arms, and then there's just a flash of light from the sword, and the creature just explodes. Just chunks rain down. And Craig, a piece just falls down and thrown you, and you can pick it up. [01:47:29] Speaker E: Look, the strawberry, you can add clay. [01:47:32] Speaker A: Golem chunk to your inventory. And you now have another attack, which you can take against the fire elemental right next to you, if you like. [01:47:45] Speaker E: Okay. Yes, yes, I would like to do that. Sanctuary is still cast, right? Like, it's still going. It's still beaten, still, you know, doing its thing. [01:47:59] Speaker A: Yes, yes, yes. [01:48:01] Speaker E: Just making sure. Just. [01:48:02] Speaker A: Just making sure. [01:48:04] Speaker E: So I'm going to take my. I'm actually. I'm gonna cast blinding spike at the third level. [01:48:19] Speaker C: Let me look that up. [01:48:23] Speaker A: Is that a constitution saving throw for me? [01:48:26] Speaker E: Let me check. Let me double check. Yes, it is a con saving throw for you. [01:48:33] Speaker A: Excellent. I got a nat 20, so I succeed. Oh. [01:48:38] Speaker E: Oh, shoot. Really? [01:48:40] Speaker A: No, I'm sorry. [01:48:42] Speaker E: Really? [01:48:46] Speaker A: But you still deal an additional three d eight radiant damage? [01:48:49] Speaker E: I do. Okay. Okay. So, um. [01:48:55] Speaker A: Wait, did you roll the hit? [01:48:59] Speaker E: Oh, shoot. I'm so sorry. I wasn't at 20, so it was a 29. [01:49:07] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. Stop. Oh, my God. It's bothering me so much that you didn't dump all the stuff into it. I mean, I'm so glad. And you're. But you could have more than 100 hit points this turn. But it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine, it's fine. We're doing fine. We're fine. It's fine. Okay, so with two net twenties. So you hit, and it succeeds on the saving throw. But that means, Micah, that this turn, this damage is going to be twelve plus four, d six plus 68. Wait, twelve plus twelve plus four, d six plus 68, because six is your flat damage that gets doubled from the crit. Two d six is your star splinter damage that gets doubled from the crit. And was your spell damage that gets doubled. The hit. [01:49:56] Speaker E: Wow. [01:50:02] Speaker A: You cast blinding spite at the third level. [01:50:05] Speaker E: Mm hmm. [01:50:06] Speaker A: So it's not. It's not really eight. It's. Oh, it can only be cast at third level. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So 68 plus 46. Plus twelve. Holy crap. Holy crap. Holy crap. [01:50:24] Speaker E: Plus twelve. [01:50:25] Speaker A: Yeah. Holy crap, Craig. [01:50:27] Speaker E: Okay, give me 1 second, you guys. It's gonna take a second. [01:50:31] Speaker A: Yeah, that's a lot of math. [01:50:34] Speaker E: 1 second, you guys. Hold music. Seven plus eight is 15, right? [01:50:44] Speaker A: Uh huh. [01:50:47] Speaker E: 1518. Hold on. [01:50:55] Speaker A: Man, this is nuts. [01:50:57] Speaker E: Three. [01:50:58] Speaker A: Craig's just a monster now. Good luck balancing combat, Zach. [01:51:05] Speaker E: Three. And then that is a six. Hold on. 15 plus three is 1818. Plus two is 2020. Plus three is 23. 23 plus six is 29. Okay, now for the 46. [01:51:23] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. [01:51:25] Speaker E: Sorry, you guys. Okay, okay, okay. 46. 46, that's one. 3811. No, wait. No, twelve. No, wait. Yeah. Eleven. Sorry. Eleven. And then the 29 plus eleven, that would be 40. 40 plus twelve is 52. 52 points of damage. [01:51:55] Speaker A: Craig, you deal 67 points of damage this turn, which means in three turns of combat, you have dealt 123. In three turns of combat, you've dealt 172 points of damage. [01:52:10] Speaker E: Oof. [01:52:11] Speaker A: Holy molytaindeh, how do you want to do this again? [01:52:16] Speaker E: Oh, you know what? [01:52:17] Speaker A: On the fire. I don't know why everyone's not more mind blown about that, but that's crazy. [01:52:23] Speaker E: I don't know if this is too much flavoring, but can I. [01:52:27] Speaker A: No, ma'am. [01:52:28] Speaker E: No. As it's going into this fiery creature, the light almost takes the fire of the creature and turns it into this blue flame that surrounds the sword of, as it goes further and further, it's, like, gets absorbed into the sword as a blue flame that just gets brighter and brighter and bigger and bigger until it's no more red flame. It's all just blue flame on the sword. Then it goes into, like, Micah. [01:52:54] Speaker A: Inspiration. Inspiration. So as you stab the sword into the creature, the blade just, like, moves through, and the creature just. It's laughless. Sounds like fire, like. And because it's just a blade. But then as the light flares, the creature starts scratching at the blade, unable to find purchase on it. And the light flares and flares, and the inside of it starts spreading blue from red, and the creature is being sucked up into the blade, but as it does, the blade's catching more on fire, and the creatures are sort of like, until it turns into blue fire. And for a second, you just hold up star splinter in the middle the room illuminate, outshining every torch in the space. Light starts pouring out of the building like a concert in the night. As blue. As blue light just starts burning from Craig's flame. And as you hold your sword up, it just burns a pillar of blue fire up toward the ceiling until it burns into the top of the adjurative field. And you all watch as the auntie woman coiled around that beam like, recoils back and hides behind the beam for a second as Craig holds out the. And then in a moment, it's extinguished. And as you lower star splinter, it's just smoking. And the whole room is completely silent until. And I. The place goes ballistic. The entire building is shaking, just vibrating. And the youncy woman just like, glares at you, but doesn't move or say a word. Oh, yeah, Craig, she's gonna remember it. You have burned this day into her mind. And the crowd chants and cheers and roars as Craig gets to. How do you wanna do this? In one round of combat. [01:54:45] Speaker D: Wow. [01:54:46] Speaker C: You didn't need me, Craig. You got this. [01:54:49] Speaker A: Almost not. And you all are pulled out of the pit. I promise we're ending episode one here. But as you all are lifted, or, you know, like in these following moments, you all are lifted out of the pit. And the Yuansi woman starts collecting earnings and winnings and wagers from around the room. There was a lot of betting going on. A lot. You gathered a crowd from outside, and as you all, as Boz, as you look out the building, you can see like far out in one direction. There's a couple hundred people around this building right now. Wow. Okay. So you guys can just go and do some role play really quickly while I do some math on some stuff. [01:55:40] Speaker E: I think that Kirk is immediately gonna go up to Ro and be like, are you okay? Do you need any, do you need any healing? [01:55:50] Speaker C: No, I'm, I'm good. I didn't even, I don't even think, I don't even think any of them touched me, actually. Craig, that was phenomenal. [01:56:00] Speaker E: Thank you. [01:56:01] Speaker C: And I think Ro's gonna grab rose, gonna grab Craig's hand and just like, hold it up and be like, craig, greg, greg, Greg. [01:56:11] Speaker A: The room pours and screams. They could not be more excited. [01:56:19] Speaker E: Aw. I think Craig's kind of, like, blushing and getting a little, like, shy. [01:56:25] Speaker A: And the best way I know how to put it is that Craig is having this. Gosh, guys, stop. Reaction in what is the equivalent of just a full metal concert right now. So people are screaming and Craig's like, stop, goshen. [01:56:44] Speaker C: I'm gonna say Ro's gonna kind of, like, she's gonna ham it up even more and she's gonna start like, kind of playing a lot, like a little bit of metal with the crowd, you know, to get him cheered up as they're chanting Craig and she's gonna have, like, little gold fireworks coming out, like, all around. [01:57:06] Speaker A: Craig, the room is so excited that it's truly unsafe. [01:57:13] Speaker C: Unsafe. Oh, no. [01:57:15] Speaker D: Can I say I climbed up on top of someone's shoulders? [01:57:19] Speaker A: Yes. [01:57:19] Speaker D: And I'm, like, sitting on their shoulders. [01:57:20] Speaker A: You're on Tello's shoulders. [01:57:22] Speaker D: Okay. [01:57:23] Speaker A: And tell them standing near bars and everyone's excited. But you guys are still being given some birth because as excited as everyone is, they're also afraid of you all. [01:57:30] Speaker E: So, you know, dude, home cove is. [01:57:35] Speaker D: Kind of our city. [01:57:37] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, we're not in home Cove. [01:57:39] Speaker D: No, sorry. [01:57:42] Speaker B: Home Cove is our city. [01:57:44] Speaker A: Home cove. Greta's looking around, looking around Portland. [01:57:50] Speaker D: I'm sorry, I meant to say I was thinking of parts. Funny song, because I was like, wow, this is like, we toughed it out with Dolgoth. We were being really cool in the underground fighting room. [01:58:01] Speaker C: True. [01:58:05] Speaker A: I'm doing just a little bit more math. [01:58:12] Speaker E: Lady. [01:58:13] Speaker C: We're still in the pit, right? [01:58:16] Speaker A: Oh, no, you've been pulled out. [01:58:17] Speaker C: Oh, we have. [01:58:19] Speaker E: Hey, wait, Zach, as I'm leaving, can I, like, look up at the snake lady and give a little, like, helmet tilt to her? [01:58:30] Speaker A: So you're. You're leaving the building now? [01:58:33] Speaker C: No, the wind. She was. [01:58:36] Speaker A: So you look up and you just. You just, like, nod toward her, right? Is that what you're saying? Okay. As you do from where she's coiled around the pillars, she just. And, like, sinks a little further back by it narrows her eyes, freaked her out. [01:58:55] Speaker C: She's got a groan. [01:58:57] Speaker E: She made a misko shiguo going a little hang out sesh. [01:59:03] Speaker D: Okay, hang out next. [01:59:06] Speaker A: So everyone is excited and thrilled, and at some point she recoils from the pillar and collects winnings from around the room. She takes a fat. She is making bank tonight. And she slithers over to you, Craig, and she. She pulls out a hefty bag and plops it down in your hand. And it has, when you open it up, you count it out for a second, and it has 40 platinum in it, so 400 gold worth. [01:59:38] Speaker B: That's more than double the amount of money that I have right now. [01:59:42] Speaker C: Holy crap. Same. [01:59:44] Speaker A: And Craig, as you, she grabs the bag in your hand, grabs the back of your gauntlet, and pulls you in very close until you're like an inch away from your. And she puts her head next to yours. And in the cheering room, where only you can hear Craig, she whispers, if you are as powerful as you are, save us from this. From him. He builds his spire in Cresca. She will tear the veil and burn down the skyd. His agents are everywhere. Spill the blood of the cultists and she just shoves the bag away from you and just slithers away into the crowd. [02:00:30] Speaker C: And only Craig heard that. [02:00:32] Speaker A: Only Craig heard that. And on that note, that's where we're gonna end. Episode 112 of the Accidental Adventures guys, um. [02:00:44] Speaker B: That makes me feel so bad for her. She didn't want this life for herself. [02:00:47] Speaker C: I don't hate her. [02:00:50] Speaker D: Who's she was? It's, uh, what's her name? Ah, don't tell me. It'll be, oh, someone tell me. [02:00:57] Speaker B: Her name was Jennifer. [02:00:58] Speaker C: Just. [02:01:00] Speaker D: Is that who she's talking about? [02:01:03] Speaker C: Probably would. [02:01:05] Speaker D: Probably. [02:01:09] Speaker A: She did say the word was up. [02:01:12] Speaker B: Ga wow. [02:01:14] Speaker C: She said the word. What? [02:01:18] Speaker A: She said, kill the cultists in Kraska, she erects a tower to tear the veil. So anywho, pee pee poo poo, you guys gain 0.157 levels because you're just slaying monsters left and right. [02:01:34] Speaker C: 15. 7.157.157. [02:01:35] Speaker A: .157.15,757. So what's the level total right now? That puts us at 11.369. [02:01:49] Speaker C: I think so. [02:01:50] Speaker A: No, no, that's wrong. [02:01:51] Speaker C: No, no, you're wrong. Hold on. You're wrong. [02:01:56] Speaker A: 11.372,372,372. Okay, 11.372. [02:02:08] Speaker D: Nice. [02:02:09] Speaker A: That's where the party's at. Okay, so without further ado, that's the skippity one one. So thank you for listening, patrons. [02:02:16] Speaker B: Cool. [02:02:17] Speaker A: Life's an incredible adventure, listeners. You're an important part of it. Skippity what?
