And then he gets on so weird, makes the tv, right? But then, like, then he goes home and, like, lives a regular life and doesn't even know who she is. He might. No, I actually think he would know, but he's, like, playing it off, and. [00:09:52] Speaker B: Like, you lost me there. [00:09:55] Speaker A: Being famous for no reason. [00:10:29] Speaker B: I think I'm gonna say Argentina because it's really big. And I think Greta would, like. I think she would. I think the pump. The pampas are really beautiful, and I think that it would. I think that would be, like, her home. Are you laughing? Maybe. [00:10:55] Speaker D: He's laughing at what Micah wrote, I think. You know, I do have some really interesting. We'd have some really interesting interactions with Boz and a bunch of Mormons. I don't know what would happen. [00:12:48] Speaker B: I would kill balls the same way that a Dorito would kill a Victorian child. [00:12:58] Speaker C: Guys, you're on fire tonight. Where would Nam go? This is a fascinating question because not to people is probably her first instinct. [00:13:10] Speaker D: So you talk. [00:13:11] Speaker C: I can see Nom. [00:13:14] Speaker B: Nom and N. Salt Lake City. I can see there. [00:13:19] Speaker C: I can see Non being really into Scotland. And I think we could find a hundred other appropriate analogs all across the world. I. You know, I think we could find. Excellent. That's just the one that comes to mind, probably because we're watching Parks and Rec right now. But. [00:13:33] Speaker B: To do with Scotland, they go to Scotland. [00:13:36] Speaker C: Ron Swanson, Lagavulin. [00:13:39] Speaker B: But anyway, Mongolia. [00:13:43] Speaker C: That too. Well, I think Scotland would strike a balance that non would like between, like, a level of society necessary to function, but plenty of. Plenty of open land where you don't need to be people, need to be near people. And an acceptable culture of don't talk to me, don't get near me. I'm doing my thing. And I think she would like that. Not to say that Scottish people all fall in that category, but the same way that you can sometimes get that in Texas, you know? So I think. I think she'd be into that. [00:14:10] Speaker B: So. I'm like two thirds of the way through campaign one, and I was listening to Quest for Refrigerant again, and I went back and listened to. I'm. I think I'm on. I just finished Darien Dangerous. I'm going into the fifth episode, but I was listening to the episode where Russell Russell kills The man and shoves his body in a toilet. And I just really forgot about that. And I was like, wow. [00:14:59] Speaker D: One of my problems as a player, I finally got to be a chaos goblin. [00:15:04] Speaker C: I also forgot about Gary casting everything with Circle, Circle, Circle. But Circle, Circle and Gudina was a mess. [00:15:12] Speaker D: Campaign was chaotic evil. [00:15:18] Speaker C: I think I've made up my mind pretty solidly in Campaign 2. So you all have returned from unsen. I assume I have a little question mark there. I assume you'd go back to your house, but you tell me if you've gone somewhere else. But the point is, the party's probably left. But let me know if you're like, no dm, you're stupid. And we stayed in a hotel because we can do that too. But I assume you guys have returned to. To the house in Parsage in a pear Tree, and you've had a day to rest off the horror. And while everyone's back, you know, spells and hit points and all that, everyone feels like Death today, you know, battered and everything, aches and it's awful. You know, you guys feel like you got in a UFC fight and then a terrible hangover and then a car wreck and you've woken up the next day and the magic helps a lot, but you're not feeling good. [00:17:58] Speaker A: Great. [00:17:59] Speaker C: And you all know that. I mean, you have heard from Alandra recently on plans and you got a sending message from her earlier this morning over sending Stone, where she let you know that it was two to three days to the assault on Blackfang, depending on everyone's ability or availability. Because she's let you know that the manabus is gathering together a lot of different allies for this fight. You all are not the only ones. And so you know you have two or three days to prepare and that she would like you all to leave for the land of Zorgrim within The next, like 24, 36 hours is when everyone's going to start trying to arrive there. Because the key detail she has told you all is that no one can arrive at Blackfang. You can't get to it. It's not conjurable magically. [00:18:56] Speaker D: That's what I was going to ask. [00:18:56] Speaker C: That there are those. There are those five towers of the five Lich Lords that surround it, and that those towers are also surrounded by a massive undead army. So you don't want to just show up there, especially if not everyone's there. So the goal is to get people to go to the land of Zorgrim, travel to the tower, and arrive at a rendezvous point there so everyone can meet up strategically. Guys. And then begin their assault. So it's the day after the. The M Cor fight. You guys have. We're going to have like a. A kind of like. Like a little montage period. We're not going to get super into role play here, but we're going to have like a little quick montage of preparatory activities and things you guys are doing before you intend on heading off to the land of Zor. So what'd that party do on this day of rest and preparation? [00:19:56] Speaker D: Rowan, Greta are finishing up Enchanting Telo's bow or attempting to. [00:20:04] Speaker C: Oh, heck yeah. That's awesome. So. [00:20:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I have an ability that makes a weapon magical. [00:20:16] Speaker C: You do? I think it has to be a weapon you use. [00:20:20] Speaker A: Dang it. Yeah. [00:20:22] Speaker C: Non magical weapons become magical. You just. And then you hand it to him. Here you go. [00:20:31] Speaker A: My eyeball falls out. Here you go. [00:20:33] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [00:20:34] Speaker F: Micah. [00:20:37] Speaker C: Girl gets married and she gets edgy. But anyway, that was A joke. Didn't land. Moving on. [00:20:48] Speaker D: Oh, my God, that gift. [00:20:51] Speaker F: What? [00:20:51] Speaker C: All right, so are you talking to me? Yeah, that. The use of that gif was confused me. So, yes, in the home of Parsage, the party's had some time to rest. The consensus around Parsage right now is to kind of leave you guys alone. Not everybody knows what's going on, but they can tell that you're, like, busy. And the news of the fall of the Empire has reached town. And so there is a really weird energy in Parsage right now, where, first of all, it snowed more. You guys have come back to, like, 8 inches of snow, and things have gotten pretty cold and wintry, and they're still putting up decorations for the day. Days of last light. A lot of, like, small wooden lanterns with canvas sides to them outside of homes, and there's a lot of red and white banners and tapestries being hung on the side of homes and from poles, so the town looks festive. So there's this weird energy in the town where people can tell that you guys are really busy and probably with super important things, so they're trying to leave you alone. But also the town is like, well, okay, even the weird energy is itself split because there is a clear fervor and thrill in the town. The town's ready to throw the world's smallest parade because the empire has been overthrown. But also there is a real tension in the town, like, oh, shoot. Overnight, the empire is gone. And so there's in the news of the war as well. Having done that, it's taken some time to reach Parsage, but it has finally arrived. And so the town has a lot of energy in it, but they're trying to stay out of your way. And where you all are gathered inside your home with snow stacked up outside and the town quietly lazily going about its business with smoke rising out of your wood fire stove and the, I think I want to say Anatilia Jeppsum gypsum. Whoever the carpenter lady is, whoever the person working on your oven, even in the snowy conditions, she's continued to work, trying to construct it. Mr. Goober quietly, he's reading an arcane book on the side. He has been really studying up on his magic. That's what he's using a lot of this time for training himself. You all are gathered there and you have Tello's bow, which we're going to retroactively say that you guys have been working on for a couple of weeks in downtime. And you all have been working out enchantments, and you all have been slowly but surely trying to enchant it. You just tried to have it ready for the miscor fight. It wasn't quite there. But this probably your, like, second or third week working on it. I would like you all to describe to me what it looks like in roleplay terms as Jackie and Greta are working together on Tello's bow. What is that? What is the process of them trying to enchant it, which they know requires, like, adding physical inlays with melted precious materials in them, as well as spellcasting into the item? Does all that look like. [00:23:59] Speaker B: I feel like as Ro, you should describe what or you want to if what kind of music you're playing. But I feel like anything that Ro is playing, Greta's, like, just, like, hunched over kind of whether it's her row that's working on the inlays, but just kind of like, gently, like, swaying. And if she's not, like, working on something, she's probably just sitting and, like, swaying back and forth to the music. [00:24:26] Speaker D: I would say the music sounds a little bit like what we're hearing right now, but it's for flavor wise. I would say that Ro is using, like, her, like, deep magic in a way to do it. So it comes out very, very, like, ethereal. Very, like, lots of, like, just harmonies and layers and stuff going over it. She's. She's using soul mender to do this, I think. And in that way, sometimes when the. [00:24:59] Speaker C: Music crescendos, it sounds like four or five instruments are involved at once. And some of them don't even particularly sound like instruments you've heard before, as if it's pulling music from other times and realities. And as this master of her craft plays, little tendrils of purple and gold magic are, like, sort of seeping out from you and wrapping around the item. [00:25:18] Speaker D: And I'd like to say that, and I know, Abby, you can whatever you think flavoring wise for his bow, but I'd like to, like. I'd like to say that some of the inlays we're doing are, like tiny little gold specks along his bow, kind of like his gold freckles. So it's kind of like mirroring him. Yeah. And there's like, these gold flecks falling into place as she does the magic and what we inlaid with. And I don't know what else you. [00:25:48] Speaker C: Want to do, but yeah, while we mention those, let's go ahead and get our first check. I'm going to need an artistry check. [00:25:57] Speaker E: From one of the two of you. [00:25:58] Speaker C: On how you are physically modifying this item. You have a lot of time for this process, so if there are additional abilities or spells that you want to be utilizing, you can be okay. [00:26:14] Speaker B: And we have the help action, correct? [00:26:16] Speaker C: Yeah. Yes. You all are helping each other, so whoever makes the check is going to do so. Being helped. [00:26:24] Speaker D: Abby, do you want to do this one or me? And he has the Damascus steel blue trident which seems just ever so slightly a bit bigger and nicer and like the ruby, I think it's a ruby of the sapphires. The sapphires inside of each of the little points seem to be just a little bigger. And he's got his vest on, he's got his trousers on and I'm trying to think of anything exciting. Oh, he's got boots now. He's got these like very like snow treading boots on. And encircled on his back is this huge. What's that called, what's that word called? Luminescent. No, that's not the word. Trans. Yes, luminescent. Yeah, luminescent. [00:54:49] Speaker C: Opalescent. [00:54:50] Speaker F: Opalescent, that's the word I was thinking opalescent shield. That's almost as big as he is and looks like it would weigh a ton. And he's got this huge scar on his left eye or his right eye. [00:55:03] Speaker C: I'm looking at the artwork. [00:55:07] Speaker F: I thought his left eye is now like extremely scarred and he's also got like burns all over his face and like his hair has ring grown over them but there's definitely a discoloration on most of his face. But he's got this like, golden eye now. It's like glittering with dust and stuff like that. And the last thing of note at his side is this beautiful scabbard. [00:57:02] Speaker D: Ro goes up to her and gives her a hug. [00:57:06] Speaker C: She kneels down and hugs me. And you remember Alondra being very sincere, but not the warmest person. But she does. She hugs you. [00:57:14] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:57:15] Speaker C: You all have formed a very meaningful relationship at this point. And you also, when she hugs you, it's like a bit tight. She has the outer Shell of a diplomat always. But you can tell that it seems like she's let her defenses down a little bit around you all. And as she hugs you, you can feel that she's very glad to see you all. But there is like a. That hug wasn't just warm, it wasn't just friendly. She wasn't hugging you tight because she was so glad to see you. It's like a hug of relief, like someone who's been worn out or a little afraid, who's finally getting to feel some comfort. And so the hug is a little tighter than you're used to her polite formality. And as she lets go, she puts a hand on either shoulder and she. [00:58:49] Speaker E: Goes, it's been a bit, hasn't it? [00:58:53] Speaker F: Yeah. [00:58:53] Speaker C: And she puts a hand on each shoulder and greets each person. And there's five or 10 minutes of her being like, how did MI schools go? And just explaining, exchanging the pleasantries. And finally she takes a seat at the table. And Shipper's all glad to be putting the seats in the little notches that he's made. And he's bringing her tea as well. And he looks happy to have a role and a purpose again. And there's this moment as he's bustling about the house, bringing you all bread and tea and food where you all are struck by how, you know, his dream was to be like an epic ship captain. And now all he's doing is bringing you all food and he still seems like filled with purpose by it. And as all the light has gone out inside and it's getting quite, quite pitch black outside in the winter, he, like, the windows are shuttered and he brings like a couple candles. It's very dramatic lighting, actually. He brings a couple candles over onto the table so that you guys can see by, but it's just enough to, like, bathed in front of you with dark silhouettes and shadows creeping out behind you. And as you all sit, some of the most powerful people in this world just gathered around a regular kitchen table in this dinky little wooden house. Alandra starts in and goes. From its design and placement on the map that it's not intended to be very hidden. It's not subtle. It looks like the kind of place that someone could just easily put on a map because like, yeah, good luck. [01:02:24] Speaker F: Go there. [01:02:25] Speaker C: And so give me one second and I'm going to. If somebody wants to do some talking or a little role play way in, I'm gonna send you guys this picture. And as the topography gets more severe, there is a bunch of fractured earth, really obsidian spires that stab out of the earth in horrible shapes very unnaturally. You can keep going, going north from there eventually, if you can amass. There is a very large, prominent, almost a small mountain that rises up from all of these smaller stone crafts that stab up out of the earth. You can gather in its shadow to the east. It is a sufficient distance from all the towers that we could plan and rest there and then assault Blackfang together when we intend to. [01:08:30] Speaker D: Okay, okay. And your. They are obsidian beings who were once lesser gods in their own realms, who Zogrim has killed, turned to his servants, and brought to this realm to destroy. We don't know their whereabouts at the moment, but do try to stay away from the Bleeding Spring. [01:09:52] Speaker D: So is Javian's sister. Is she the one that if she were to die, she would be the one to open the. You say that really assume that. [01:10:09] Speaker C: And Alandra sits back and goes. [01:10:14] Speaker A: We. She slips out a potion that not only shouldn't fit in the bag with all bag of holding, but even shouldn't be able to fit in the aperture of the front. And as she pulls it out and slides it on the table, she slips out slowly but surely. One, two, three potions. And they're this silvery glass with this almost gold liquid inside. And she says. [01:14:34] Speaker E: We are becoming quite slim on resources, and I give these to you as tools of last measure. [01:14:42] Speaker C: But. [01:14:44] Speaker E: To be quite frank, and we would appreciate if you didn't repeat this to others joining the assault. There are many who can die. We need you all to make it to Shiztha. But the few times we have traversed the land, we traveled largely on foot through those. But there's really no safe place there. Also, be careful. Lava flows are common in the land, and if you find tunnels, do not go into them. They are not naturally created. Well, not by geological events. Biterology. They've been carved by very large worms. [02:18:24] Speaker G: Zach boss is a 14th level druid. He is, I think he would know how to stabilize himself in the sky. It's kind of like the, the first thing you learn how to do when you go up there. [02:18:50] Speaker C: I, I see the reasoning. As someone who's been polymorphing for a while now, I mean, you're gonna get wild. So it's like level. Excuse me? Wild shaping. Wild shaping. Wild shaping. Right. So you've been wild shaping as a flying creature for a long time. I can understand how some of that muscle memory would transfer. What are you trying to accomplish? [02:19:10] Speaker G: No, I mean, like, like I even see him. Like, he can wild shape multiple times. Like, I see him, like, flying high in the sky, like, becoming a person, and then wild shaping back into a bird and, like, flying around again. [02:19:21] Speaker C: Like, for. Fine. I, I, I see the reasoning. So you're just trying to rotate yourself over and stabilize what I want to. [02:19:30] Speaker G: Do is Boz is. [02:19:32] Speaker C: Is. [02:19:33] Speaker G: He could turn. [02:19:33] Speaker C: He could. [02:19:34] Speaker G: He could wild shape into like, oh, a dragon wormling and be fine. [02:19:37] Speaker C: Sure. [02:19:37] Speaker G: But I think what he wants to do is like just kind of wait a little bit and make sure. Because he knows that like Craig has God speed. He knows that like people can poly more. He wants to check on Bong Grimm. He wants to just kind of like stabilize himself and just take a little gander and wait just like a few. A little bit before he wild shapes into something to fly. [02:20:01] Speaker C: I will say, I. I think this reasoning is actually really solid. I. I completely see what you're saying. It's. It's like he's like, honestly, kind of like an experienced skydiver. You're in a really intense, intense role. Give me a dexterity saving throw at advantage because this is something you're very accustomed to, to try that in place. [02:20:24] Speaker G: And I've seen people practice how to do that. This. And it's not as hard as you would. I mean, I mean, like, like this right now is a completely different example, but it's like, right, It's. It's like one of the first things you learn how to do. [02:20:35] Speaker C: Because if you like, falling isn't that bad. Yeah, stabilizing while doing a double front full into a triple, that's harder. But stabilizing out of. Out of a free fall is not that bad. Also, it's cool that you've done a skydiving place. [02:20:51] Speaker G: No, I used to work at a skydiving place. And no, you are able to, because a lot of times, like, your parachute get wrapped up on you and you have to not only cut the parachute that's tangled and deploy your spare, but also, like, stop yourself from flipping around all over the place place. And he just totally evens himself out in the air. And he's falling pretty calmly. Give me. You can just make it out, boss. You can see that wrong is in the shape of a giant eagle. You recognize a regal anywhere with the purple eyes. Craig is flying with Godspeed. And to your relief, you look over And Greta has Tello on his. On his. On her broom. He does not look comfortable. He's like, barely nearly holding on awkwardly, but he's on there. Is there anything else you're looking for? Or is below us dangerous? [02:22:06] Speaker G: Like, are we falling towards something that. [02:22:07] Speaker C: Will kill us when we land even if we're okay? Yeah, give me. Give me a perception check. Not the highest DC in the world. The difficulty here is that the reason there's even a check is because it's coming at you fast. So you're trying to make out details. Yeah. Also, we've gone through a round here. You all have fallen 150ft. So the ground is now. [02:22:25] Speaker G: Oh, we've fallen that much. I feel like the ground will be close enough to where he would not. As soon as he realized everybody else was safe, he would turn into a dragon. [02:22:33] Speaker C: Wormling. Gotcha. Okay, understood. Sorry. I probably should have given you that context at the beginning. You return. No, no, no. It makes sense. [02:22:39] Speaker F: 100. [02:22:41] Speaker C: Well, I probably should have led with it. Boz, in a flurry of magic. You are a bronze dragon. Wormling. Go ahead and give me a perception check anyway, though. [02:22:50] Speaker D: Okay? [02:22:53] Speaker C: You can do it with either stats. You could have done it before or after you transformed. So up to you. Okay. [02:22:58] Speaker G: I don't know what the dragon wyrmling is, but he got a 21. [02:23:00] Speaker C: I bet yours are better. Okay, 21. Pause. As you look up, the black skies above are like. They're like dark and shadowy. And you watch a couple snaps of red light. And far off in the distance, you see silhouettes trailing in the crowd, in the cloud. Yeah, getting to the ground would probably be a good idea. [02:23:22] Speaker G: All right, so, Boz, like silhouettes, like. [02:23:27] Speaker C: Forms come things flying far away up in the clouds. See their silhouettes, really? [02:23:34] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [02:23:35] Speaker C: That'd be a good idea to get to the ground, Boz. [02:23:38] Speaker G: Boz dies towards the ground. [02:23:40] Speaker C: Okay. You all watch as boss turns in. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You watch as Boz turns into his bronze dragon Wyrmling and toward the ground that you can see clearly now, Boz. It's this dark, fractured landscape of stone. There's like a deep ravine below, like tongues of liquid fire tracing around the landscape. And as you, like, tuck your wings, you, like, dive down. And it's only. It's a matter of seconds before you broaden out your wings and dovetail gracefully to a point where you want to land. At this point, I will say now that everyone is flying. If everyone chooses to follow Boz, you All can all land on the ground fairly easily. [02:24:18] Speaker B: Yeah, I would like to do that. [02:24:20] Speaker F: You're Tomdian. [02:24:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:24:25] Speaker C: So as the whole party gathers, flying in their various methods, you all land on the rocky, harsh landscape below. And as you all look around, you see at every angle a horrible place. This is. This is awful. You all are. [02:25:00] Speaker E: Oh, this place is awful. [02:25:02] Speaker C: You are surrounded by a scorched ruined earth. Black stone fragmented and covered by a finer dust of grays and dark sort of like charcoal hues all around you. Every once in a while, when the wind bye. Some of the dust whips up in little spurts and then goes away, far away. You all can hear. As lava flows of intense liquid heat slowly pour out from angry spouts in the earth and flow down hard rock. Sharp obsidian juts out of the earth at different angles everywhere. And you see above you not a raging sky, but a dark and angered one that stretches on forever. And there is a forsaken, hellish landscape all around you. It's the middle of winter and it is not very cool here. Not burning. The season seems to be helping a little bit. You can imagine this place being searingly hot at other times of the year, but it's warm uncomfortably. Craig, you're already sweating in your armor. And as you all look at the far landscape, it stretches on you in a ruined, dead place in every direction. The party has landed. [02:26:28] Speaker E: What do you all do? [02:26:31] Speaker C: And also everyone's panting and your sweat all over your brow and your hearts are going, but you're coming down off the adrenaline hug. [02:26:39] Speaker D: I unpolymorph. [02:26:40] Speaker C: Okay. [02:26:42] Speaker D: And just say, I'm. I'm so sorry. [02:26:44] Speaker B: I'm. [02:26:45] Speaker D: I'm so sorry, guys. [02:26:49] Speaker C: Tello leans over a big rock, throws up and goes, it's no big deal, bro. It could have happened to any of us. Could you press the digitate my mouth? [02:27:01] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And she like starts prestidigitating all those. [02:27:04] Speaker C: It cleans off. He goes, thank you. He pulls out his crossbow and he goes, I'm a big strong elf. And he just like holds it and looks around at the landscape. [02:27:20] Speaker A: I. I think that we needed to get a move on as fast as possible. [02:27:23] Speaker B: Yeah. I say, let's start going. [02:27:28] Speaker A: Right. I just saw a hand in the air. [02:27:30] Speaker C: Get in there, Daniel. [02:27:30] Speaker F: Get in there is me. [02:27:31] Speaker C: Own the space. [02:27:32] Speaker F: I just want to make. Can I make like a perception check as the eagle just to see if there's anything in our vicinity before I polymorph back out? [02:27:40] Speaker C: Clever. Are you perceiving for sources of danger or for landmarks or. What are you looking for? [02:27:46] Speaker F: I think sources of dangers is his main thing. He lets people do that other stuff. [02:27:52] Speaker C: Very smart. [02:27:54] Speaker F: I imagine the eagle has good perception. I rolled a 19. [02:28:00] Speaker C: The eagle has great perception. I think it's a plus six plus five or something. [02:28:07] Speaker F: 24 to 25. [02:28:08] Speaker C: Then we'll call it a 24. [02:28:11] Speaker B: Has it. Wait, eagles have advantage on perception. [02:28:15] Speaker F: Oh, yeah, I remember. I did an advantage. [02:28:19] Speaker B: Oh, cool. I'm sorry. [02:28:20] Speaker F: Now you're good. [02:28:21] Speaker C: We'll just. We'll keep it. [02:28:22] Speaker B: You have a plus four of perception, Daniel. [02:28:25] Speaker C: 23, you dirty ginger. Abby said not on my watch. As you look. As you look around. Oh, well, you'd also be regal. Let's use the G as well. Regal. As you look around. Regal. You look up at the clouds above and you do in fact see a couple dark shapes dip out of the clouds, but then dip back up and soar away like a pair of them. Looks like they didn't spot you all. You might have gotten to the ground quickly enough. And you don't see a whole lot else, except very far in the distance there is a big single thinner structure. You'd reason it to be maybe like between 20 and 30ft tall. And it's very far away. Hundreds of feet, maybe even almost a thousand. And it's just standing stock still in the landscape. And as you look standing, it's like a. It's like a 20, almost 30 foot tall. Like a rough. Like it's at a weird angle. It's kind of hard to tell. But with a 24, it's almost like a statue. Very far away with dark stone. But it's really, really far off. Not anywhere near you. [02:29:46] Speaker F: Well, I. I unpolymorph from there and I just. Oh, how Janice does that I will never know. But I look and I say, great job. I haven't had that thrill in a few days. Nothing of the sort that I can see as an eagle. But there is a big statue about a fifth of a mile that way. [02:30:12] Speaker D: Do you think that's Black Fang, where we need to go? [02:30:16] Speaker F: It looked like a statue. [02:30:18] Speaker C: Ro give me. Give me an intelligence. [02:30:19] Speaker F: 20 foot tall statue. [02:30:21] Speaker D: DC3s an 8. [02:30:31] Speaker C: Black thing was like a big tower. [02:30:33] Speaker D: That's right, a big statue. Did Alondra mention anything about a statue? [02:30:42] Speaker B: I think it's. [02:30:43] Speaker A: I think it's a statue of big bad guy. [02:30:48] Speaker C: Probably Greta. [02:30:49] Speaker D: Probably nothing going out. [02:30:50] Speaker C: Could you give me a protection? [02:30:53] Speaker B: I would love to. Oh, goodness. I would not like to tell you. [02:30:57] Speaker C: I was about to say you could Use the telescope. But then I remember that belonged to the other party. [02:31:02] Speaker G: Is the statue black colored? Zachary. [02:31:05] Speaker C: It's dark in coloration, very far away Obsidian. [02:31:07] Speaker F: Dark in coloration very far away obsidian. [02:31:11] Speaker G: I bet it's nothing. Guys, we should keep going. [02:31:13] Speaker B: It's got a. I agree. [02:31:15] Speaker F: It's not coming after an eight. [02:31:18] Speaker B: Yes. [02:31:19] Speaker C: It's too far away. Greta, you can't make out any clear details. [02:31:22] Speaker D: Can I perceive? Can. I mean, you can? [02:31:28] Speaker C: You can. [02:31:28] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:31:29] Speaker C: We're now in repeated Czech territory, so I'm gonna raise the DC a little bit. But you can. [02:31:32] Speaker D: That's fine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. That is a 26. As you look out of the landscape, it's like a really harsh, like, sharp, roughly assembled angular statue of dark colors. It's really far. [02:32:05] Speaker E: Oh, shoot. [02:32:07] Speaker C: It's kind of like that thing Greta described from her dreams. The thing she said, Walter, except it's like more than two stories tall. [02:32:16] Speaker D: I relay this information gently. Gently relay it. [02:32:22] Speaker C: Greta. If the thing that killed Walter is an obsidian soul, this is like an obsidian giant. [02:32:28] Speaker B: Oh, wow. [02:32:30] Speaker C: Really far away. So far you could even say it's fully out of your path. [02:32:36] Speaker B: Okay, well, we'll just keep an eye on it. [02:32:38] Speaker D: Yeah, let's not go near that. Which. What. Which way would you say is northeast? And I say we head that way. Rose says. Well, RO knows northeast. [02:32:53] Speaker C: You are immediately aware where north is, and you get the feeling that you all are facing away from it. Could you give me a survival check? Actually, Navigator. That's the way toward the mountainous landscape in the north, in the northeast, where Blackfang would be. But you're pretty far. It's time to start walking. You got no time to waste. Yeah, you'd say you're miles and miles and miles and miles and miles off. [02:35:07] Speaker D: So just for me as a player, are we on the map? Are we, like, south of the Boiling Lake? Basically, like, I know Ro doesn't know. [02:35:17] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I got you. I got you for your mental acuity. [02:35:20] Speaker F: Yeah. [02:35:21] Speaker C: Yes. Yeah, you're probably. Well, you're probably not too far south. You're probably, like, a little south and pretty far east. [02:35:31] Speaker D: I'm pretty far east. Okay, understood. So are we past the Boiling Lake? We're in, like, this. The random little hill area. Okay, we. Okay, that's fine. [02:35:42] Speaker C: That's fine. [02:35:44] Speaker F: Everything's fine. [02:36:59] Speaker D: Did you just say 29? 29? 29, 29. [02:37:02] Speaker B: I did. [02:37:03] Speaker D: It's Joe. [02:37:06] Speaker C: And the party continues. And if we have any more songs, things start gaining hit points. And the party continues. And you walk for maybe the next eight or nine hours. [02:37:22] Speaker D: Oh, my gosh, Zach. [02:37:24] Speaker C: You take a break, you eat, you continue along the way, you have to forward unpleasant paths. You have to cross small tongues of lava. You have to move across ravines. But you use your various abilities, you do so rather easily. And eventually you start encountering a portion of the landscape where more of those statues are popping up every once in a while. And you recall what Alandra said about it being a little safer in the ravines she found. And you found that some of them do snake toward the north. Does the party climb down into them or do you stay above? [02:38:02] Speaker D: No, we go to. I say we go. [02:38:06] Speaker B: You'd say that we climb down. [02:38:07] Speaker D: Yeah. Not in the tunnels, but in the ravines. [02:38:11] Speaker B: Yes, yes, I think I agree. [02:38:14] Speaker E: Okay. [02:38:15] Speaker C: It's a precarious journey down, but the party makes it. The lips into them are 15, 20ft in some places and they're very sharp. The edges are. It's like the landscape here is obsidian. It's like cut like blades. But you all make your way down into it.
