[00:00:03] Speaker A: Welcome to Barely dnd, your sort of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. It's your boy, Ron Grim. He's still here, still doing things, still stabbing people. And we're going into the big boy girl fight of Shista. We're gonna. We're gonna go mess her up a little bit, hopefully not die in the process, and, you know, just have an overall good time. I think no one's gonna get hurt. We're all gonna stay at high level hp. [00:00:33] Speaker B: I'm predicting something very safe. [00:00:36] Speaker A: Very safe. It's actually really easy. It's sort of like taking candy from a baby. But I didn't want to say that in case there's a wrath of Zach incurs that [00:00:47] Speaker C: were in babies listening. We would never do that to a baby. [00:00:51] Speaker B: Hmm. [00:00:51] Speaker A: Right, Right, right, right, right. [00:00:53] Speaker B: The big. The big takeaway is the fungi's are pretty sure that this can be solved with a friendship blanket. [00:00:58] Speaker D: Blanket. [00:00:59] Speaker B: Micah's real crunchy. What was that? Micah, are you there? Micah? Okay, could you try saying something again? Okay. You are in the big crunch zone and we can also no longer hear you. It might be worth checking in if you have turned the mic switch off with your thumb, if all your chords are fully connected or if there's anything like that. [00:01:21] Speaker E: Yeah. Am I doing good? [00:01:27] Speaker B: We started recording and then the super crunch came in. Might be the Internet. Try plugging your cords in and out. Try turning the mic in and off. Try and move away from the audio input and then back to it. And if you need to, you can always join and rejoin. We'll move from there as Micah figures out audio stuff, but we can come back to it if we need to. Also. That's just nostalgic that Micah's having audio issues. And, you know, this is the way, without further ado, we'll get into it because there's nothing to do but to start this session. So first of all, listener to get some housekeeping out of the way. [00:02:03] Speaker C: We did have. [00:02:05] Speaker B: Yes, Abby. [00:02:07] Speaker C: Well, Micah had a letter question, but we can do that after this. [00:02:10] Speaker B: I think that would make sense. [00:02:11] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:02:14] Speaker B: We have Micah, Daniel, Abby and Jackie today. And minus when Daniel is or is not here. That is who we will have for the rest of the campaign. Boz has stepped away, or Landon's the real human being. Landon stepped away. Actually, Boz has not. Boz is here. Landon has stepped away. He just let us know that. I mean, you know, he's had a lot going on in life for quite a while. He's had to scale back what he was doing for quite Some time. And so he let us know that he really needed to. There's a lot going on, and that he really needed to fully step away. And so we honored that choice, and we're not going to spend too long on it, just because that's a lot of above table out of podcast stuff. But we didn't want it to be like, hey, I haven't heard Landon in 20 episodes. What's that about? So Boz is still here, and he is going to be run now as an NPC by Jackie. And so that's just a little expectation alignment. And so, you know, life is an incredible adventure, and land is still an important part of it, even if. Even if away from table, which is a very deep cut reference. But, yeah, so that's a little bit of quick housekeeping. Micah, do you want to try and hop in with a little audio just to see how it's working? [00:03:33] Speaker E: Is it working now? [00:03:34] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:35] Speaker B: Yes. [00:03:36] Speaker E: I just forgot to let my computer breathe. [00:03:39] Speaker A: Ah. [00:03:40] Speaker E: Okay. [00:03:42] Speaker C: Okay. [00:03:43] Speaker B: All right, well, now we know. [00:03:44] Speaker E: Suffocate her. Let her breathe. No more breathing. [00:03:48] Speaker B: No, Micah. Always suffocating things. I'm just glad she doesn't greet me that way anymore. [00:03:54] Speaker A: When we. [00:03:54] Speaker B: When we used to play in person, she would come greet me, and then she'd. And she'd lift me up by the throat with one arm, and she'd go, [00:04:00] Speaker E: my bicep would like, you know, I don't know, do a biceps too flex. [00:04:06] Speaker B: That was good. That was good. [00:04:08] Speaker C: All right. [00:04:09] Speaker B: Anywho, we have a letter question. The letter question proposed by Micah, which was very good, was as. As the fun guys are headed to go fight the big bad boss. [00:04:24] Speaker E: What is. [00:04:25] Speaker B: What is. What is the big bad boss in your character's life, in your. In your PC's heart at the moment? Oh, my goodness. I just saw the Bob's Burgers blanket behind you. Jackie, that's so good. But what's the big bad boss in your character's life at the moment? And who do you all want the DMNPC to be? [00:04:47] Speaker D: Trista? [00:04:49] Speaker C: No, I did not want to be. [00:04:50] Speaker D: I want to know what her big bad is, because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. [00:04:57] Speaker E: I kind of want to know, too. What is shistas? [00:05:00] Speaker C: Okay, I was gonna say nifty, but I always say nifty. [00:05:04] Speaker E: Wait, I kind of like nifty. I feel like he might have more. Yeah, no, I want to say nifty. [00:05:14] Speaker B: I don't care. Daniel, do you have a vote? You are technically the wagering vote here. [00:05:18] Speaker A: I am A wagering vote. [00:05:25] Speaker B: He starts softly crying the subtitles just say cries and ginger. [00:05:30] Speaker A: I'm choosing F Moon Kai. [00:05:33] Speaker C: Oh, that's good. [00:05:35] Speaker B: Introducing a third variable. [00:05:36] Speaker A: Great. [00:05:37] Speaker C: I still vote for Nifty, but I support you. [00:05:39] Speaker E: Right. [00:05:39] Speaker B: Yeah, the nifties have it. But, But I. Yeah, I think that was intentional. I think Daniel said I'm not participating. All right, let's. Let's start with the person. [00:05:54] Speaker C: No. [00:05:55] Speaker B: Nearest to a large merchandising object owned by the syndication network Hulu. [00:06:02] Speaker A: I. I mean, I have a lot of stuff. [00:06:04] Speaker C: That was a good one. [00:06:05] Speaker D: Daniel also has a lot of stuff. [00:06:07] Speaker B: We'll go with Daniel. [00:06:08] Speaker C: I like, I like that one. [00:06:11] Speaker B: What's the big Bad boss? Thank you. At this point, Abby. I'm just doing it for the bit. Thank you. I appreciate that. [00:06:16] Speaker C: Well, some of them are better than others and that one was better. [00:06:18] Speaker B: Okay, that was. [00:06:21] Speaker C: Sorry. We did that. We did the hair one a lot, so that's crazy. [00:06:25] Speaker B: Just as hit points went up. I joke. I kid. I child Durangle. What's. What's wrong? Grims? [00:06:36] Speaker A: My child is not a phrase I want you to say ever again. [00:06:39] Speaker B: Understood. I'll be saying it. [00:06:40] Speaker C: A child. [00:06:42] Speaker B: A child. [00:06:43] Speaker A: A child. Ron Grimms is, I think, a portion of. Would you call the thing I'm trying to think of? I'd say, like, you know, there's a great song by this band called Rival Choir that's called Help Me in My Unbelief. And I think if you are a metalhead and would like to listen to that song, you should go listen to it. It's a very good song. [00:07:16] Speaker B: That's. [00:07:16] Speaker A: That's his. My all time favorite album. [00:07:19] Speaker B: Wow. [00:07:20] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't think you can ever beat Mouth to the South. Mouth of south, though. Anyway, for me it says a lot of things. Anyway, back to Ron Grimm here. Ron Grimm's thinking is like unbelief, but still trying to find a purpose in the unbelief of it all. Like, I think him trying to figure out purpose. Not really though, because I think he does have the purpose. I think he's trying to link it towards something that will eventually mean something. [00:07:52] Speaker E: I. [00:07:54] Speaker C: Can I go next? [00:07:56] Speaker E: That was good. [00:07:58] Speaker C: I really think that Ronglin, Rongrim and Greta should go on like a solo or like, I think they should go like searching for the ancient texts. If we survive this, I think that would be such a fun little series. But because I, I feel. Yeah, I, I, Yeah, I feel like Greta's like path is very similar. I think she's right. Now I think her big baddie. I think it. [00:08:33] Speaker B: I just thought of arthritis. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. [00:08:40] Speaker C: I think it's like grief, but specifically, like, guilt and responsibility. And I think she spent a long time, like, being bad and, like, being either neutral or being bad or, like, thinking that she was being really bad, like, having a lot of guilt. And I think she is, like, trying to overcome that guilt, but also trying to, like. I think she really, really wants to, like, do be good. And whether that's like. [00:09:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:23] Speaker C: Whether that's like, just an imaginary construct that she doesn't really. She just, like, wants to be, like, good in the abstract or like, she is trying to make up for something that maybe. Yeah. I think those are her bad guys. [00:09:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Maybe even some survivors. Guilt in a stretched way. Yeah. [00:09:42] Speaker C: Every flavor of guilt. [00:09:45] Speaker B: All of them. [00:09:46] Speaker C: Everyone. [00:09:47] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:09:48] Speaker B: That was a great answer. Nickel. What's the. What's the big bad boss and Craig's life. [00:09:55] Speaker E: I would say that this is. This is a challenge. Hold on. Not his big bad. The microphone. Excuse me for one second as I consider yourself excused. [00:10:09] Speaker B: Would you like me to ask Jackie as you. [00:10:11] Speaker E: No, I have it now. I just didn't. [00:10:12] Speaker B: Oh, this is fun. It looks like you're gonna break into song. I really like this. [00:10:19] Speaker E: I would say that his big bad right now is desiring. Like, he. Like, belonging. I would say belonging is a struggle because he doesn't, like, belong in his family right now. And, like, he's been rejected by his people in a lot of ways, you know? Yeah. And he can't show his. Like, he just can't show his face in his community. He can't, like, associate with his family. And in a lot of ways, like, there's still moments where he doesn't fit in the party because he. He. It's been a long process, but he couldn't cast. He couldn't do magic for a long time. He Completely different set of skills and. And learned how to adjust and to develop, you know, some magical skills. But he still feels like an imposter, I would say, and doesn't have a. Like a. He doesn't feel like he fits in the group and sometimes. Or he might not fit with his family, and there's just a lack of belonging, which is why I think he holds on to old so much, because old has, like, accepted him, like, as he is, which is a really cool thing. Like, he's, like, you know, encouraged him so much, and that has like, been kind of like a father figure, which is kind of weird to say, but like, yeah, so I'd say his big battle right now is belonging. [00:11:48] Speaker B: Micah, no one can ever make the argument that you have not thoroughly considered and connected with this character. I mean, high diggity dang, dude, you have. You have played the heck out of this character. That's great. And honestly, why shouldn't. Why shouldn't a bizarre removed Eldritch being be your surrogate father figure? [00:12:10] Speaker C: People have had weirder father figures. I'm very sure of it. [00:12:18] Speaker B: Ribble, what about yours? [00:12:21] Speaker D: Yeah, I think Rose, big bad in her life right now is grappling with two things change and coming to a. Because she knows things are coming to a head basically in the world. And I think for a long time she has really enjoyed being the hero, like playing the part of like, we are the heroes. Yeah, we were chosen to save the world. That was always kind of her thing of like this mentality of like, yeah, this is all meant to happen. But I think that it's. Some of it is finally here and the fight happening that are. That they've been preparing for for so long, and they're finally here. I think it scares her. What this means for them as a group, what it means for the rest of the world if they, you know, end up failing. I think a lot of that is weighing on her of like, also, okay, let's say we do save the world. What does that mean after, like, what. What world are we going to be living in however things turn out? And what does that mean for this like, like adopted family that she has grown to love? So I think that's all weighing heavy on Rose mind as we come into these, like, huge things that have been on the horizon for what feels like forever, but they're like, finally here, you know? [00:14:23] Speaker B: Dang, dude, these are good answers. I'd encourage you guys at some point to go back and listen to just one of the first 10 episodes and see how far things have come, how different things are. It's. It's wild. And not to self aggrandize all of our. Well, I'll answer for nifty. This is tough. I don't know. You guys had me really thinking with this choice. I think this is a good choice. And not that there was a wrong answer, but I think maybe just that wasn't the most interesting answer simply because. Being an enslaved mausoleum of bones housing the hateful spirit of the bloodied one. I don't. I don't know. I don't know. Honestly, that's so metal and intense. I Can't relate. [00:15:14] Speaker C: I don't believe that she is. [00:15:17] Speaker B: What's. What's the. What's the bad in her life? Absolutely everything. Also, she's kind of dead. These are. [00:15:23] Speaker C: And then the second after that. The second after that. And then actually the one following. [00:15:29] Speaker A: Right. [00:15:29] Speaker B: And also what does it even mean? Because, like is. I don't know that she's particularly in there anymore. But anyway, somebody's just driving the car. But anyhow, she's a car. [00:15:40] Speaker C: That's kind of a bummer. [00:15:42] Speaker B: What's the biggest issue in her? [00:15:43] Speaker A: Like beep, beep, bummer. [00:15:46] Speaker C: Well, cheek, Mika. [00:15:50] Speaker B: Nifty. You know, I was trying to search for something really dramatic and heavy and there is absolutely stuff like that in there. But I think very genuinely, the biggest issue, the big bad in NFT's life is weariness. I think he's very, very tired. And I think he's been weary and tired for a very long time. I think he's exhausted in a really deep and meaningful way. Like, not like he's come to believe dark things, but like, I think hope and meaning and truth have won. Have. Have. Have worn very thin and long for him. And I think there are parts of life, certainly in real life and also very much in this fantasy one that are just a little bit too much for a mortal. And I think he's been around too long. He feels. And he didn't mean to be. His continued survival and existence has been like. He didn't mean to survive his encounter with Shistha. He didn't mean to come in contact with the chronomantic magics that have prolonged his life. Like, he's survived so much more than he meant to. And I think he has had to deal with so much more meaning than he wanted to have in his life. And I think he's just. But he can't pass on yet. He can't just die and move on. And so yet. And so I think that's very difficult for him, continuing to make meaning and to try and survive. And I think. I think he's very tired. I think he feels like a man who's been walking an ultramarathon. And it won't end and neither will his ability to keep walking. And so there's a. Not to get too deep here, but there's. I'd say one of the most important songs in my life would be the Cure for Pain by John Foreman. I mean, I'd make that like a. Like a top five songs of my life. Probably one of the most important Messages I've ever heard shout out to John Foreman, I'd love to have you on the podcast. But anyway, stupid joke, but there is a line says, it would be a lie. It would be a lie to run away. And I think that's a lot of what's keeping Nifty around still, is just that he's like. Like, I don't know. And it's not like a crushing despair. I just don't know that he feels highly motivated to be in this adventure still. And yet he feels it would be a lie to run away. So he's persisting in a languid and [00:18:26] Speaker C: difficult manner not to, like, postpone the wonderful fight we're gonna have. But do you think that's because when I was, like, kind of guessing, I was like, well, it's probably aging because he's really old. But is that different than I guess it is because he's not really aging. He's just like. That's the problem. [00:18:42] Speaker B: I think the two are highly connected. No, no, I think the two are highly connected. He is aging very slowly. [00:18:48] Speaker A: He's. [00:18:48] Speaker B: He's gotten older. [00:18:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:51] Speaker B: This was not the age he was when he came in contact with those magics. He is aging very slowly. [00:18:55] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:18:56] Speaker B: So I think the answer is, like, yes. And, you know, like, yeah, that's highly. [00:19:02] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. [00:19:03] Speaker B: Life has. He's been through way too much. Like, he is a man stretched far beyond what a mortal human being should encounter. And in so many senses, like, he's also had a bunch of really amazing experiences, but it's been too much. And it's not a coincidence that he has decided to spend this, like, later chap. Well, this. The chapters that came after the epilogue that weren't supposed to come. It's not a coincidence that he's decided to spend these chapters here in this. In this island, isolated, alone in a tower. I think it's all just a little bit too much nowadays. But. [00:19:41] Speaker D: And he lost his friend. Shout out to Daniel. [00:19:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Not to guilt, but, yeah. [00:19:50] Speaker D: His friends had bought. [00:19:52] Speaker B: He's also. He's also very much hanged one he's buddies with. He's Greta now, you know. Anyway. Okay. I think you're stalling. No. [00:20:02] Speaker A: Okay. So you are not my child. [00:20:05] Speaker B: You child. [00:20:06] Speaker A: He. [00:20:06] Speaker D: She. [00:20:07] Speaker B: Child. The study of childology. It's first grade, SpongeBob. Anyway, we're definitely prolonging. We're. We're just stalling. So. [00:20:23] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:20:25] Speaker B: My wonderful players. No, I'm very glad you have gotten here after all these years. Thank you for coming on the journey Note taking, nerds. This is a level 15 and level 17 adventure. The date is 3488. PB. CB call the 12th. I got it right this time. The day of the week is top up. This is episode 171 of the Accidental Adventures. The Queen of Death. Yeah, that's heavy, dude. It's crazy how much this made up thing affects me. [00:21:08] Speaker E: I wonder if she smells really bad. [00:21:12] Speaker D: What does that smell like? Zach, we need to. [00:21:14] Speaker E: No, I bet she does. [00:21:15] Speaker C: She smell like bones. [00:21:16] Speaker B: You bust down the tower. Hey, yo, you stinky. [00:21:22] Speaker C: That's what I was gonna say. [00:21:23] Speaker D: I got my vicious mockery for boz down. [00:21:25] Speaker B: It's okay. [00:21:26] Speaker D: All about her smell. [00:21:30] Speaker C: It's so stinky. [00:21:32] Speaker B: More like Queen of Dookie. [00:21:36] Speaker A: And I have been reading, reading the Old Testament right now, and there is a lot of blood on the altar, obviously. And Anna, for, like, the first time, was struck by, like, it must have stunk in the temple, like, all that death. Yep, yep. [00:21:53] Speaker B: You're not rocking. All right. [00:21:59] Speaker E: Hello. [00:22:01] Speaker B: Let's do this thing. Let me get the music going here. Oh, my goodness. [00:22:11] Speaker E: You've got this nervous. [00:22:13] Speaker B: Oh, wait, this is the wrong one. Okay, here we go. Man, I. I have not felt this way since the Yepin fight. Yeah, there we go. [00:22:24] Speaker D: This is what she looks like in my mind. [00:22:28] Speaker B: Jackie's holding up her skull. [00:22:32] Speaker E: What? [00:22:32] Speaker D: I don't hear music. [00:22:34] Speaker B: No, I can hear now. [00:22:35] Speaker C: I never hear music. [00:22:36] Speaker D: Oh, okay. I got it. [00:22:38] Speaker B: It's too scary. Remember, volume on the left. [00:22:42] Speaker C: I remember, actually. I forget. [00:22:49] Speaker B: All right, [00:22:51] Speaker C: I have a question. [00:22:52] Speaker B: Yes? [00:22:53] Speaker C: I don't. [00:22:54] Speaker B: Okay. Fungi. [00:22:56] Speaker A: Got him. [00:23:01] Speaker B: You are flying. No, there are different sounds that accompany the space around you, but the majority in the form of wing beats. Greta atop the polymorphed Rongrim as he's that massive E. No, I'm on my broom. [00:23:16] Speaker D: No, I am. [00:23:17] Speaker B: Okay, fine. Ro on top of the polymorph. [00:23:20] Speaker C: Wrong room. [00:23:20] Speaker B: As his wind beats. Greta and Tello, which is a comical sight given how much smaller than Tello he is, that he's like the princess riding on the broom through the sky. It's also. There are so many things I could be describing right now. But it's funny that among them, one of the most unnerving is just you're high up and you're going fast, and you all have done a lot of flying. You have dealt more than almost any other mortal in your time. Only a few exceptions to being accustomed to spending this time in the air, but still, it is shocking in this landscape. And as the serrated and terse and harsh landscape passes below. It's just hard not to grip that broom a little tighter. And Craig flies with his wings which are there for an hour, so you really don't need to worry about the time. Micah. They're out. As he's flying with his brilliant golden wings of that molten metal which make this really cool sound as they fly. You carry Boz in your grasp. And the six of you are soaring across the landscape, smearing patterns of black volcanic almost looking stone is passing beneath you, eventually being dotted and crossed by rivers of bright orange and red yellow light as lava streams are passing below. Also, Abby, this is the smallest thing. It's not a big deal when you step away if you wouldn't mind muting, just the headphones pick up more than your regular things do. But it's fine, it's fine. [00:24:57] Speaker E: Okay, I will. [00:24:58] Speaker C: Thank you. [00:24:59] Speaker B: Yes. That dark storm still churns overhead as you all move. The terrible distance between the far tower of Lord Ynt which you have felled and the doom which lays beyond you draw nearer and nearer to the looming ruin that awaits you. There is no other reprieve from the tower as it grows in size and horror before you. No one here needs to make any wisdom or charisma saving throws since everyone has been made immune to the frightened condition by Heroes Feast. And you all are saving yourselves from some nasty DCs before you even get to the tower. [00:25:43] Speaker C: So [00:25:46] Speaker B: as you all fly forward, the food that's still. I mean you've done a lot of metabolizing already in the last hour or half hour even. But as even the food is being digested, there's still a magical encouragement divine truth sitting in your belly. And really quickly as you all fly toward the tower, I would like to know what it is that is what magical truth is being conjured your minds that is steeling you against this journey for each of the characters as you fly. What's the thing in your hearts and your heads that's keeping you from succumbing to the terror of the tower as you move toward it? [00:26:28] Speaker D: I think for Ro is the fact that all these other people that we've come to know, like they, we all came together and, and got through all of those towers to get to here. And I don't know, Ro doesn't know who ended up possibly sacrificing themselves or going down in the fight or. But no matter what, like we did it and these people believe in the same, in the same good that. That we do to get us to where we are. So it's. It's. It's for them in this moment, I think. [00:27:18] Speaker E: Let me say for Craig, I think he really. I think that moment at the well where he was having the vision of the bones of him to, like, you know, Craig, I. I think that was a very big. And I think it reads true in his mind that dead bones for him that, like, things that are dead will not make him dead. He is now, like, he's living in a. A level of power that death will not spread and he won't allow it to. That he's going to be the. The, like the thing between, you know. [00:28:00] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. Bron Grimm. [00:28:05] Speaker A: Brongrim is just repeating a lot of the promises he made to different people through his head. So I think he's repeating promises that he made to the well, the warriors of the well, and to Vespis and to other people. Just like, making sure that he is the shield to all the evil that is to come is a thing he is dealing himself with. [00:28:36] Speaker C: I think kind of similar to what Jackie said. I think that Greta is thinking of, like, all of the people that she knows. And like, I think this situation is reminding her a lot of her friend Walter and other people that she maybe, like family that she lost, but like, friends and people that she loved and found family. And I think she's. She's thinking that, like, this is such an ugly place and there's so much horror and like, despair here. But just. I think she's. She's. She's focusing on the. The beauty. I think that she's very, very drawn by beauty. I think beauty is, like. Is very attractive to her. And I think that she's trying. She's like. I don't. I don't think that she's trying. I think that she's succeeding in, like. Well, the beauty in this place that is so, like, just inherently like, truly, like, literally evil and like, aggressive is that the relationships that she has with the people around her, she sees those as, like, those are like shining lights and like, just like lights of beauty and truth in this, like, truly awful landscape. [00:30:07] Speaker B: As you all cling to these things and feel them as you fly forward, you can see in the distance growing some closer towards you, some further away as you near. As you near the terrible spire that some of the towers are kind of melting into the distance because they're only five stories high. So at some distance, you can lose them a little bit, but some of them, you can see the. Not necessarily smoke from a fire but all of the dust rising upward in a heavy column into the sky from where they've fallen. Because when structures that large fall, a great amount of substrate is kicked up into the air. So you can see it rising from many towers, and from some there are smoke from the different magics and powers that ripped them apart. And you are filled with a sense of. Well, you feel the things you feel as you look at them, thinking of those allies who have brought you this far and what their fates may or may not be. But you move forward with the wing beats toward that incredible structure. Black Fang is horrid in its simplicity. A monolithic spire of pure obsidian which rises hundreds upon hundreds of feet upward. To be clear, for everyone here other than Rongrim, this is the largest constructed structure you have ever seen, or at least the tallest, twisting to an extremely sharp point. The excruciating architecture is not reflective, as its stone almost seems to ravenously consume light. Its exact shape, indeterminate to grasp. It doesn't look like a tower built. It looks like someone took obsidian, picked it up and twisted it with their fingers, and twisted and twisted and twisted and twisted and twisted until it came to a perfect point. So it doesn't look like a made tower. Like reasonable architecture, it narrows hyperbolically, impossibly inward. It does not look natural, though the gale rages above you, that storm. All above wind does not pass by you, some from as you travel through it. But there are no bouts of wind this high up in the air. As if the air itself grows still in the fear of the edifice. Faint muddled whispers begin to creep into all of your ears as you near Blackfang. And to look directly at the tower even as you're stilled against the fear, it fills you with terrible memories. As you grow nearer, you all can hear in your ears, Slipping in and out. And Craig. You remember watching Greta fall over dead. You feel the feeling in your heart, Greta. You remember the terror of the dark forest. You remember seeing the blood of the head of the bird on your hands. And it's not just the sight, it's the feeling grips you, Ro. You have a vague sense of being all alone in a deep, dark ocean. And just on and on and on, each of you feels sensations. Sensations are some of the worst moments of your life. As you all get closer and closer, the world grows cold, your blood thins in your veins, and you are surrounded by a terrible awareness. As you grow closer and closer to this lifeless, unmoving cradle of death. As you all get very close to the tower. Are there any actions that are being taken along the way? [00:34:09] Speaker D: Yes. Boz is gonna cast healing word on Craig, since he's. Because I would do it as Ro, but I can't touch him. So Boz is gonna. Boss is gonna cast healing word. So, Craig, you get. Let me roll it. [00:34:31] Speaker E: Does that take up a spell slot? [00:34:33] Speaker D: Yeah, but it's first level. [00:34:35] Speaker C: It'll. [00:34:36] Speaker D: It'll be okay. [00:34:38] Speaker E: I don't really know. I. I have the ability of lay on hands where I can. I can touch my own body, and I'm pretty sure it's action as a kingdom, as. If that's best. [00:34:56] Speaker B: Up to you, Micah. It's your ruling. Also, this is gonna sound really weird. Micah. Let's just try. Would you mind switching your audio input to just the laptop? I. I don't imagine it'll be better, but let's just see. Things are just weird at the moment with the mic. [00:35:10] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:35:11] Speaker B: And then, like, try switching and then try saying some things. It might not be better, but I just want to see also. Jackie, I know it's on my. [00:35:20] Speaker E: Sorry, go ahead. [00:35:21] Speaker C: I have so much. [00:35:22] Speaker B: You sound much clearer, but there's so much background noise. So we'll go back. I'm sorry. [00:35:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:35:26] Speaker B: We tried. We tried. No, it's okay, Micah. Hey, it's not on you, dude. It's. It's just. It happens, so. It's your call, Micah. If you want to use lay on hands instead, you can. [00:35:37] Speaker D: Yeah, your call. [00:35:39] Speaker E: I think I. I think I will, because I'm really worried about spell slots, and I. And I feel like I know that it's just first level, but I. I want him. I don't. I'm afraid that this is going to be the reason that he dies, and that makes me scared. [00:35:52] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:35:52] Speaker E: I'm even being paranoid. Like, I don't want to take any of his spell slots. [00:35:56] Speaker D: He's. I. He's only used two spell slots, so it's up to you. I feel like Boz and Craig maybe were having this conversation, so it's up to you if you want to. [00:36:09] Speaker B: It is also worth noting, for whatever it's worth, Micah, that Paladins have a handful of spell slots, but your level 15 companions who are full casters have a comical level of spells. I mean, I think every one of them at this point has 15 spell slots, or close to. [00:36:25] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:36:26] Speaker B: But whatever that's worth. [00:36:28] Speaker E: Okay. [00:36:28] Speaker C: I have eight. [00:36:29] Speaker D: I have 18, I believe. Or 17 bards have a little bit more. [00:36:33] Speaker E: Holy crap. Okay, [00:36:37] Speaker C: I'm. [00:36:38] Speaker E: I'm gonna. I'm gonna do it. The land hands. I was paranoid. [00:36:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:36:42] Speaker E: I'm paranoid that someone's gonna die. [00:36:44] Speaker B: Hey, man, if there's a session to give into the paranoia, it's this one. [00:36:48] Speaker E: It's probably this one. So I'm gonna do that. [00:36:52] Speaker D: Okay. [00:36:52] Speaker B: Okay, go ahead and roll that and let us know what you get. [00:36:56] Speaker D: And then Ro is going to take the. She's going to take out the potion of death ward and drink that before the fight. [00:37:10] Speaker B: Ro kind of leaning into Rongrim's eagle wings and shoulder blades. You, like, brace yourself against the wind. And you, like, you know, you don't want to let go of him with your arms. You just kind of lean into him and you pull out the small vial and you uncork it and you let that silvery liquid go down your throat. And as you do, it's a weird ears. It's like. It's very chilling. You know when you've been inside somewhere warm and you walk outside somewhere very cold, and the first breath you take in and imagine you've even had a mint in your mouth and it's like, painfully cold. [00:37:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:37:41] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:37:41] Speaker B: So that goes. You feel that run down your throat, but then it feels like it goes, like, out your nose and then, like, down your body. You feel like you can feel it in all of your veins. But after that chilling moment, you feel greatly warded, and you have a small defense against the grip of death, which feels ever present in this place. Anyone else have any other actions they're trying to run? You most certainly can, because I actually really have to pee. So you guys talk out some things. [00:38:07] Speaker D: Oh, damn. [00:38:07] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:38:09] Speaker B: Okay. [00:38:10] Speaker E: I'm at full health and I still have 16 hit points left in my restoration pool. So if you guys need anything or [00:38:21] Speaker C: he healing or any kind. [00:38:22] Speaker E: I can heal up 16 hit points. Heck yeah. Just gotta be able to touch you. That's it. [00:38:29] Speaker C: Greta's at 95 out of her normal. Well, out of her, like, it's boosted right now, but out of her 119, that it would be. So I think she's okay for now because normally her normal is 96, so she's just one below her normal. But. Ro, I just. Or Jackie, again, like, [00:38:57] Speaker E: I don't. [00:38:58] Speaker C: As. As soon as you think you're gonna heal someone, just let me know and then I'll cast Beacon of Hope. Hopefully I'm before you in initiative. [00:39:08] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. Boz is doing good. He's with his temporary hit points. He's at 139, so. [00:39:15] Speaker B: So [00:39:17] Speaker D: he's good. [00:39:18] Speaker B: I'm. [00:39:18] Speaker D: I'm good. [00:39:18] Speaker B: It's a druid who never gets touched. [00:39:20] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:39:21] Speaker D: Hopefully stays the same. [00:39:24] Speaker B: The man, the hit point. The hit point disparity in this party is wild. Rangan was like, yeah, I'm still above 200. And I was like, I'm all the way up at 95. [00:39:33] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:39:35] Speaker B: It's crazy. I was thinking that if those are all of the actions fun guys. You get so close that that horrible spindling tower begins to rise. Like, as you all bank lower and lower, the tower begins to raise higher and higher to the point that you can't even see its tip anymore. And as you get closer, you realize the clouds are low here. Like, instead of being thousands of feet up, the storm is like. It's like the storm descends in its center and the eye is so narrow and tight. It's like it's spiraling from the tip of the tower, which as you get closer, if anyone wants to, it's not an important check, but if anyone wants to, they can try and make an intelligence check to guesstimate its height. [00:40:19] Speaker C: I would like to. [00:40:21] Speaker D: You said just straight intelligence. [00:40:25] Speaker B: You can make it sciences if you want, but I don't think anyone's proficient. It's probably the same. [00:40:28] Speaker D: I'm not proficient. [00:40:30] Speaker C: I got an eight. How big that tower DM? [00:40:34] Speaker D: I got a 22. [00:40:37] Speaker B: Feeling 22. Greta, your heart is steeled by Heroes Feast. But it's still awful to look at it. [00:40:45] Speaker C: And can I. Can I say, yeah. A lot of the party is used to flying, like being the one flying. And Greta is used to being flown, but she is not. See, she's like gripping a broom. Tell is like trying to talk strategy and she's like, uh huh, uh huh, yeah. And then she like looks at the tower and she's like, that's pretty tall, maybe 20. And she's just like looks back to everything else. Like just. She's. She. This is her probably like her third or fourth time on the broom and she's about to go to death's door. [00:41:17] Speaker B: So also, it was. It was 15 minutes ago that someone shoved you off of a tower on a broom and you went to a lightning field and you're just like, yeah, yeah. [00:41:26] Speaker C: She's on the lookout for more lightning fields. [00:41:29] Speaker B: Yes. Ro, with your 22. That, I mean, you know, these distances are hard to comprehend, especially for people who are not accustomed to structures this large. But you are accustomed to outside distance and to estimating distances from flight. More than 500ft. It's definitely more than 50 degrees. It's really, really tall. I mean, it towers above the landscape. And above 200ft, it couldn't be more than 30ft across. That's how much this thing constricts at its base. It's probably more than 100ft wide, but that's how much it narrows and twists. And when I say twist, I mean like, like someone took it with their hand and twisted it with their fingers. And up at the point it becomes a rat razor tip. [00:42:22] Speaker D: Do we know? Have we talked about this with the laundry or anything about where to land? [00:42:31] Speaker B: No. [00:42:32] Speaker D: Okay. [00:42:32] Speaker B: And as you all get closer, cool, cool, cool. The landscape is filled with violent topography and jutting stones and field of lava. But as you get closer, it clears out around the tower a little bit. Not like a perfect, well manicured clearing someone made, but as if. In fact, it's even a little bit of a crater. As if there was an impression here in the earth and the tower grew out of the ground and it's just cleared for not quite 100ft in every direction, not neatly, not in a perfect circle. Some of the stone begins to jut in, and there's even holes in the earth that have deep steaming smoke coming up out of them in some, like, reddish light peeking out from beneath it as if there's more lava below. But it is clear around the tower and there are no undead here. You passed about a thousand undead milling about somewhere in the landscape in different pockets, slowly moving out to the borders. They're not a terribly organized army here, and you passed over them on the way here, and so you saw many. But as you get here, there are none around the perimeter of the border to fight through. And you can see as you get lower that where the tower exaggeratedly pools out and spills again, not like a structural base that would support, but as if it just kind of melts into the ground. And as you get close to it, oh, it is so obsidian. Like there's no other stone here. And it's like it's a little too dark. It's like it drinks light. As you get close to it, you can see that there is an aperture to your left toward the east. And as you begin flying lower down, there is in fact a cut hole in the face. Not a door, not a gate, but like a yawning mouth of a beast. This arch pattern shape, it really is like someone just tore open the front of the tower with some massive, like, titanic tool. And there's just this sharp, splintering obsidian rock that comes down and it's just a hole in the front and you feel like you can see worked stone beyond. And there is no other light coming from inside. It's very dark inside. But you can see that aperture, that hole in the front looks like an entrance if there ever was one here. [00:44:57] Speaker C: I guess we go fly towards her. Yeah, I guess we go land at it. [00:45:02] Speaker B: All of you, all in your various ways, land. Each of you dismounts and you're standing there in front of the cavernous maw of razor sharp stone to Blackfang. And you can see most of it swallowed up in dark light that it leads into a single expansive room. But it's a little hard to see in. [00:45:33] Speaker C: I'm gonna dm. Sorry, I'm. Nevermind. I'm afraid to take it. I'm afraid. [00:45:45] Speaker E: Okay. [00:45:46] Speaker D: Oh. [00:45:47] Speaker B: So yeah, I am afraid. Understood. [00:45:50] Speaker D: So we. We're in there now. All of us can. I like. [00:45:53] Speaker B: You're standing. [00:45:54] Speaker D: Yeah, I like. Okay, so I. You haven't entered it down? Oh, we haven't entered yet, but there's no light. [00:46:05] Speaker A: I'm gonna cast out of my bird form. [00:46:10] Speaker B: The dwarven warrior is again among you. [00:46:13] Speaker C: I'm gonna cast light on the end of my broom. [00:46:17] Speaker B: Okay. [00:46:18] Speaker C: But I'm gonna kind of hold it like back behind me. Okay. [00:46:23] Speaker B: You can mentally make it float around so you can move it. [00:46:26] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. Well, I'm gonna look at my. At my dear friends and I'm gonna say, are we ready? [00:46:35] Speaker E: Can I use divine sense since that divinity. [00:46:39] Speaker B: Absolutely, Craig. [00:46:42] Speaker E: I just want to tell. Be able to tell like the location, like how close there are enemies within 60ft of me. [00:46:53] Speaker B: Sure. First of all, Micah, I don't know what you did, but your audio sounds better. [00:46:59] Speaker E: So it's probably because I got up and moved to where I normally move or normally am. [00:47:03] Speaker B: Yeah, probably the part of the house [00:47:05] Speaker E: if I get too tired, say, sitting up, I'm gonna go back to bed. [00:47:08] Speaker B: Okay, sure. Of course, of course. Of course. Craig, as you focus in response to your question, Abby Boz just nods and he grips his gauntlet and his shield. The Druidic defender comes out and Tello pulls out a silver bullet bolt and locks it into the crossbow. And all the silver and gold in the sides flares to life and he nods. Craig, as you grip the symbol beneath your armor and you focus. Yeah. A nauseating, overwhelming sense of undeath. So be much. So much on death from within. So much it's like blinding to sense if. If this is a thing Craig is feeling it like turns his stomach. If it's a thing, it's that he's smelling. It moves him to gag. If it's a thing he can see, it's hard to look at how much. Also, if anyone's doing anything preparatory, this is the time to announce cosmic instrument. [00:48:24] Speaker A: I just have a quick. [00:48:25] Speaker B: Craig, you pull out your blade and you squeeze it and it flares with a little extra bluish gold light. Yes, Daniel. [00:48:32] Speaker A: Sorry, I just have a quick question of when we were fighting the last group of undead, the Lich and stuff. He was resistant to my fire damage rate and I had to move it to my cold damage. [00:48:48] Speaker B: I do not run cold. Let me look. I'll have that answer for you momentarily. [00:48:53] Speaker C: Feel like I remember it being cold damage. [00:48:56] Speaker A: Cold damage or resistant to not fire damage? [00:48:59] Speaker D: I think so. [00:49:01] Speaker B: Yes. [00:49:02] Speaker A: One of the two. Yes. [00:49:05] Speaker B: He was resistant to cold and you had to switch to fire. That is correct. [00:49:08] Speaker A: All right, well, I, I have it still at fire and I'm making it bright enough for me to see. Unless everyone is telling me no, no, no, no, no, no, no. [00:49:17] Speaker D: Right. [00:49:18] Speaker C: I, I. Yeah. [00:49:19] Speaker B: As you hold remnant in your hand, you squeeze it and you will it to. And all these reddish or orangeish flame flame Tongues of flame are licking up the tines at the end of the. Of the trident. Sorry, Gribble. [00:49:39] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:49:41] Speaker B: Okay. [00:49:42] Speaker C: Greta moves her light towards. She like she like once everybody. She can tell that her. Her teammates are kind of prepared and everybody has done their prep work. She like kind of casts the tip of the broom a little forward, but she sends the light just like floating off of it into the. [00:50:05] Speaker B: It has to say. It's has to physical object like. Okay, well then she just moves the broom forward. [00:50:11] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:50:12] Speaker B: Okay. Also just to check Jackie, not that there should be anything. Is Boz doing any preparatory spell work or. No, it's fine if he's not. I'm just asking. [00:50:23] Speaker D: He didn't have. [00:50:24] Speaker E: I don't [00:50:27] Speaker D: now I feel like there was something I should have done. [00:50:30] Speaker E: I've heard. [00:50:31] Speaker C: Well, shield. Yeah. [00:50:33] Speaker D: Should. Yeah, maybe he should. [00:50:36] Speaker B: You I just as a heads up, and I don't mean this negatively, you won't be able to escape the feeling that you should have done something. Cuz I know the guy who plays his characters in here. That's okay. I just mean did you have anything you wanted to say? Cuz if not that's fine. We'll just. [00:50:49] Speaker D: I think, I think he is going to activate spiny shield. I think that's a good idea. [00:50:55] Speaker B: And how long does it last? [00:50:58] Speaker D: That lasts. [00:51:02] Speaker B: You can get it from A quick Google if you need, because it's in the Humblewood book. [00:51:05] Speaker D: Yeah, well, it lasts one round, so maybe I shouldn't. [00:51:11] Speaker B: Okay, maybe I should just. [00:51:13] Speaker D: Reaction. Yeah, I was thinking that it lasted like a minute, but it's a safe assumption. Yeah, I'm just. Yeah, he's good. He's good. He's readying. [00:51:25] Speaker B: Yes. [00:51:25] Speaker E: Prepare magic circle to put on an undead as. So they. Oh, wait, I should be closer to mic so that they can't leave the circle. [00:51:34] Speaker B: You can [00:51:37] Speaker E: you. [00:51:39] Speaker B: I would say hold that action when you're a little closer to it. Like you can have a held action, a spell to cast, but hold that action for a second. Or don't do it. Don't hold it yet because you can't hold it, like indefinitely. And it would serve you to do that in a moment. I'll just give you that heads up. [00:51:59] Speaker E: Okay. It's on my mind. [00:52:01] Speaker B: Understood. Understood. But thank you for that heads up. That is helpful. And Daniel messaged that Ron Grim has. He's put Corona's bane aside and he has. Well, he was probably put aside some time ago, but he has remnants in his right hand. And he's taken that massive opalescent flail, shale fl. Flail snail shield, that shell shield on his left arm, and he's carrying it as he walks in. As you all. As the broom floats ahead of you and lights up the space, it begins casting light all around. And the worst part is it does begin to eliminate all sorts of details for you. But so much else is left to the darkness. And as the party. Yes. [00:52:43] Speaker C: Grabs. I'm sorry, I would keep the broom in my hand. I'm just so petrified that it'll get exploded. So I'm gonna keep it in my hand. [00:52:50] Speaker E: Okay? [00:52:50] Speaker B: So you're just with it. [00:52:51] Speaker A: Understood. [00:52:51] Speaker C: It's right next to you. [00:52:52] Speaker B: It can even be floating right next to you. [00:52:54] Speaker C: But it's on my hand. I'm holding it. [00:52:57] Speaker B: As the party walks inside the only chamber within the nightmarish tower, the empty halls, or the empty hall reaches from one wall to another, perfectly circular. And the dark crypt city. And the tower wraps around its edges to crush ever inward. It rises up, stories upon stories upon stories, ever higher, ever narrowing into its ceiling. And pretty quickly you lose that ceiling upward into a point of endless black as you all walk across the floor. This is the first clean worked stone you've seen anywhere here. The floor is perfectly smooth and flat, polished obsidian. And it's not more than a few steps in before you can see deep grooves Carved into the floor in arcing shapes. And you can see carved next to them. It's hard to make out their detail in the dim light, but it looks like the shape of carved magical glyphs next to them. It looks like magical circles are carved all around this floor. In the grooves you can see something, a sort of reddish color reflecting. And it has to be a gemstone because you know that that's what conducts magic and magic circles for the magically aware of you all. But you swear it looks like blood. But it's so perfectly still. Yes. Rangnam, Just hop in there. [00:54:23] Speaker A: I think as we've started walking in, I'm gonna activate my Eye of the Maker. That'll last for an hour. And I'm worried that things will also try to pop out and be a little busy. So don't liking that. So I have true sight for an hour. [00:54:44] Speaker B: That's nice. Sick. [00:54:47] Speaker C: Awesome. [00:54:47] Speaker B: So here's what's gonna happen, Daniel. I'm gonna describe this a little more and then I'm gonna get to you and I'm going to describe some different things. Okay? Now it's all good. Micah, go potty. So good. But don't let me forget because I'm about to. I'm about to describe a slightly different way of seeing to you. So as you walk in and you cross all those patterns and all those glyphs on the floor, you also see all around the chamber a strange anachronism against how clean and worked everything is, how polished. There's just a mess, mass of scattered bones everywhere, some broken, some whole, and they're all so clean, not like cleaned bones, but there is no flesh, no tissue remaining upon them, as if all has decayed away or been burned away or something. And they cover the floor. And as you walk across, your footsteps reverberate and echo within the space. And the air here hangs motionless, so still, as if even it has died in this hellish void of hope in the center of the room. And I haven't forgotten. Danielle, we'll come back to you. In the center of the room is the only other shape of note. A circular dais like platform, roughly 20ft in diameter, rising no more than a few inches off the ground. It's probably 20ft across, but in its center is a monolith, an obelisk of amethyst, perfectly sculpted, semi transparent, opaque and shadowy. A strange texture seems to mar its surface, but it looks like maybe it's 11ft tall, maybe 5 to 6ft across. It's hard to tell how Long from here, but probably another four or five feet. And within its shape, you all can see a somewhat silhouetted figure sort of frozen in it, like an insect in amber. Micah just texted us. We have no more toilet paper, so potty later. That's a bummer, buddy. [00:57:12] Speaker C: Micah, I'm glad you. At least you caught it when you did. I didn't hear you. [00:57:18] Speaker B: Micah, I would like. I have not forgotten Rungam. I would like those proficient. Well, whoever wants to can make a perception check. And then we're going to come to you wronggrim. Because you are just going to see some things. [00:57:35] Speaker D: I have a quick question. Zach. [00:57:38] Speaker B: I have a quick answer. [00:57:41] Speaker D: Now that I have actually two questions. And I'm so sorry, I have two. Okay, the first question is, since I'm playing Boz as a PC, when it comes to checks like this, I don't need to do. You do. Okay, so I can't make. [00:57:58] Speaker B: Sorry if you're asking. No, no, yeah. [00:58:00] Speaker D: Like, do I need to like, make those check? I know, like saving throws and stuff [00:58:04] Speaker B: like that, but only if you want to, but feel free not to. [00:58:06] Speaker D: Okay, understood. And the second question is. I know what it was that I was thinking of. I was getting spiny shield and druids defense mixed up. Yes, yes, I know ads it. It already is up. Okay, understood. And how long does that last? Because I don't have any. No thing that says. [00:58:27] Speaker B: You can just activate it and deactivate it. [00:58:29] Speaker D: Stay. Okay. Amazing. [00:58:30] Speaker B: It's not a spell. It's just his item. It can create it. [00:58:34] Speaker D: I just didn't know if it like closed back down or something. [00:58:37] Speaker B: No, it's really freaking good. [00:58:39] Speaker E: Okay. [00:58:39] Speaker D: Sick. And as for perception, I got a 22 okay for RO, and I didn't roll for boss. [00:58:48] Speaker C: Greta got a. Greta got a 11. Tello got a nat 20, for a total of 26. [00:58:57] Speaker B: Yo, [00:58:59] Speaker C: hello. [00:59:00] Speaker D: Is perceived. [00:59:01] Speaker A: I also got a 26. [00:59:02] Speaker C: Greta's still getting her land legs back. [00:59:07] Speaker B: Okay, you all walk in and this is all that's greeting you visually. And you all are. I mean, the hair is standing up on your neck. You can hear the. Of your heartbeat. You feel like your blood veins are going to burst. There is so much adrenaline in you, and the juxtaposition is horrible. The distance between the tension you're feeling and the calm of this place. Rongrim. As you look around, you see what everyone else sees. But from within the stone, from within the massive stone at the center of the room, where everyone else sees a dark silhouette, you also see a shadowy silhouetted. Figure, but you see it moving. You see a head turn and look at you all in the stone, seeming to ponder as if a body is still but a spirit is moving. You also see these like leylines of pulsing energy moving across the floor. And where everyone else sees the dim, unlit grooves, you can see all these glyphs. Pulsing with energy. You also see wrong grim from high above you, a strange like. Like so far, you're not looking at it. You're looking. It's like a. Like when a light source is. You know, you can see the. The further emanations of its light high above you. You are seeing dim emanations of necromantic power from somewhere high above in the tower. And with your 26 in Tello's 26, you all like, as everyone looks around the chamber, weapons drawn, you know, hands ready to spell cast, like darting around checking things, you and Toa both stop. And he looks up and looks at you, and you look at him and both of you all feel like you catch a glimpse of something high above. High above in that black, twisted spire. And it's strange because there's no light up there, but it almost. It's almost as if so dimly, something's giving off its own light up there. This is what you notice. The nerves are getting to me, and I drank an entire sparkling water already, so I have to pee again. This would be a great time for some role play as you all interact with all of these things you're sensing and seeing. So do some role play real quick. I'm so sorry. I'm not going to drink any more water the whole first session. [01:01:39] Speaker C: Okay, I'm. I will redact this later if the DM says I can't do this, but I think Greta probably gets on her broom. She's been not traumatized, but, like, the opposite of traumatized. That's still in like, a traumatizing way of like, oh, being on my broom literally saved my life last time. I would like to do that again. [01:02:04] Speaker E: So. [01:02:05] Speaker C: But if DM says I can't do that, then I don't do that. But she's just like, maybe she notices that Tello sees something and she's like, trying to follow his eyeline, but she can't see it because she's so stressed. [01:02:18] Speaker A: Well, while she's getting on her broom and stressed, I will as Rongen look to everyone and I say, there's definitely a presence and something's above us, giving its own light. [01:02:43] Speaker B: Not to contradict the respectfulness, because I appreciate you Being aware of things. But you can absolutely get on your broom. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to. I appreciate but you have. [01:02:53] Speaker C: It's like an action. Yeah. Okay. [01:02:55] Speaker B: You have the we haven't rolled initiative and you have the utility to use any of your belongings and however you please. Greta, you climb across top your back broom and it lifts slightly. Vrin points it out and tell goes. I can see it too. I mean it's. I can't make out anything of what it is, but it's way up there. He keeps his. His crossbow aimed around. He like he won't let go of it. He won't quit training it on the stone or on the edges. As you all terry there for a moment, there is a very faint and low pulse. And you all watch as these red streams of energy, these tendrils down the side and the circling glyphs on the floor don't light up particularly. But the the entrance, all that obsidian grows toward each other. And in a single moment the cavern is closed as a black fang swallows you up. [01:04:08] Speaker C: That sucks. [01:04:09] Speaker B: As the stone jaws snap shut, you all are plunged into complete darkness. The space is being lit in a little 3 to 4 foot radius by Boz and his little sparkly lights that come off of him. Greta looks like the lure of an anglerfish in the dark. As the light comes off of her broom, Craig's sword glows, as does Tellah's crossbow. But you're all these unnerving points of light in this darkness until the power stakes across the floor and all of those glyphs on the floor flare to life, steaming and smoking slightly. And you all watch as the melted reddish stone in them begins to pulse and even move slightly as if blood was turned into gemstone. And the whole space begins to be very lowly lit with red light as if it's like atmospheric lighting. It's like LED lighting, but really dim. And as a note, this entire chamber is dim light. As a mechanical. I have more describing to do. No one needs to roll Initiative net, but I am going to turn on the battle map. [01:05:26] Speaker A: Ron Grimm's trident also has the ability to cast light as well. I'm just letting Zach know as a reminder. [01:05:39] Speaker B: Okay. How's that map position? I. I fiddled with the map settings last night and it now takes it much longer to load. But I also think we're getting a clearer image. [01:05:48] Speaker D: I think so too. [01:05:49] Speaker B: We'll give it a little bit. You get a much clearer image. [01:05:52] Speaker D: That looks terrifying and beautiful. [01:05:56] Speaker A: Whoa. [01:05:56] Speaker D: And it just pixelated all. [01:05:58] Speaker B: Well, I. I changed the light for me. Too bright from a side. [01:06:01] Speaker D: Oh, okay. [01:06:02] Speaker B: Now it's good. [01:06:02] Speaker D: It just pixels for a second. [01:06:04] Speaker B: Now it's repixilating. Okay, we'll see if it. At some point last night, it did settle down for me. So we'll see. [01:06:10] Speaker C: Yeah, it's not too bad. If it's gonna get better, then this is already pretty good, so that's great, if that makes any sense. [01:06:20] Speaker B: Oh, okay. When you turn that. The light did not help there. Okay, I need turn a little more. Okay. All right. Okay. Not too bad. I wish you could see it a little more detail. I'll send you a picture later. But as you all stand there, the immense center of the tower, you can see all these carved arcs on the floor. There's. As the glyphs are lighting up now, there are these three circles on the side and then one in the middle. Ah, man, I did such a good job on this map. Okay. Anyway, it took hours drawing all those tiny little glyphic symbols. What were you saying, Micah? I mean, if you're. If you're casting a spell, that's the thing to say out loud. [01:07:03] Speaker E: Can I bless Greta Tello in the way? [01:07:07] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah, describe that. I mean, this is you and your. And your spell casting and your actions. Go. [01:07:12] Speaker E: As I'm watching in horror, my hand just reaches out and, like, touches, like. I just kind of, like, touch each one of their heads or shoulders, and, like, my jaws dropped and poor. And I'm just like, I've gotta do what I can to save these ones. They always end up, like, almost dying. And. Yeah, so now y' all can do. I'll send the details in the chat. You can go forward. [01:07:38] Speaker B: Also, talk to me about how we're feeling about our physical arrangement right now. [01:07:41] Speaker E: I can't hear you. I can't. [01:07:43] Speaker D: He said. He said, talk to us about how we're feeling about our physical arrangement. So that's where we came in. That's where the door just shut. Is on the back wall against that. And so we're about, like, a few feet inside. Okay. [01:07:58] Speaker B: Because you all have the. This is. This is the time to rearrange those positions. If you want to. [01:08:04] Speaker A: I would like to. Within Craig's perimeter. [01:08:11] Speaker B: You are. [01:08:11] Speaker D: And also remember that I am concentrating as well. If you want to put a concentration ring around Ro. [01:08:18] Speaker B: Yes. And Craig. Bless his concentration. Yes. [01:08:24] Speaker E: I didn't see that on there. [01:08:26] Speaker A: Yes. [01:08:27] Speaker E: It just says one. I don't see anything that says concentration. [01:08:32] Speaker B: I'll check. I Believe it is casting time. [01:08:34] Speaker E: One action range is 30ft. Up to three. [01:08:38] Speaker B: Pretty sure [01:08:40] Speaker E: you should up to one minute. [01:08:42] Speaker B: Oh, wait, it doesn't say concentration. [01:08:44] Speaker E: After that, it doesn't say. And I. I copy and paste from [01:08:47] Speaker B: the curse you 2024 update. That doesn't transfer and now confuses all of our tiny rules. In 2014, it's concentration. In 2024, I suppose it's not. [01:08:57] Speaker E: Thank you. [01:08:58] Speaker B: So it's concentrated. Well, I mean, It's. We play 2014, so it's Concentration. [01:09:03] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [01:09:07] Speaker B: Yeah. It's Concentration 2014, the edition we play using. And they said it was backwards compatible. I think Abby's saying something, but I don't think she knows she's muted. [01:09:24] Speaker C: And that's on my spell cards that I got when it does, actually. Sorry, Breaking out my spell cards. That's when you know it's bad. [01:09:34] Speaker B: Hey, wait a ch. Okay, everybody's cool with their positions? [01:09:38] Speaker C: Yep, I guess. [01:09:39] Speaker B: All right, I'm gonna go back to narrating, so. Yes. Oh, and I need to bless people. Sorry, who did you say you blessed? [01:09:46] Speaker E: Micah, Tello and Ro. The ones that always almost die. [01:09:53] Speaker D: Red is Boz. Right. [01:09:54] Speaker C: Thank you, Craig. [01:09:56] Speaker E: Welcome. [01:10:01] Speaker D: So Craig is right in front of me, right? Greta's beside me, and Boz is on the other side of Greta. Am I seeing that correctly? I just want to make sure I'm not being colorblind. [01:10:12] Speaker C: Jackie. Don't be colorblind. [01:10:13] Speaker D: I'm sorry. I'm not, but I'm trying not to. [01:10:18] Speaker B: Are all blessed? Okay. Blast. So as you hold onto your light, Craig, all of them are surrounded with a little golden energy. As all the light flares to life, you all hear hissing around the chamber. A voice says, so you have come. [01:10:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:10:48] Speaker E: Do I smell the breath? [01:10:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:10:52] Speaker B: No. It is sterile and cold and removed. But all of you all can hear it echoing around the chamber. You all watch as all the glyphs pulse with life again. You hear the voice. Continue. You've come to me finally to die. You call me the Lich Queen. Your mortal peoples call me Queen of the damned. But soon I will be your queen. Not to rule above you, to ferry you. I am the gate. I am the throat of the open grave. [01:11:45] Speaker A: Come, [01:11:47] Speaker B: embrace me, and I will lead you into the oblivion of all living things. Marry your skin and flesh to blade, and we will be no longer separated. And you all watch as that amethyst obelisk cracks again. And you all can see that silhouetted figure dimly lit in its center. Some of you all turn and look at each other. At a point as you look back, even though the stone hasn't moved, the head inside has. And then again, and as the stone cracks more, you all hear from around you, and there's more flare from the glyphs. And some of the bones from all around the room begin pulling together. But there's no clear figure, no unceasing massacre being made. They're all being moved to different points in different places, as if many creatures are being formed. [01:12:59] Speaker C: And finally, good, good, good. [01:13:04] Speaker B: The stone obelisk explodes and all the pieces pulse outward and then freeze in the air. Tens of thousands of fragments of amethyst freeze in the air and begin rotating, orbiting the central position, lower and lower and lower, as if a gravitational acceleration is slowly pulling them to the ground. And instead, floating above the space is a single figure. Before you is a skeletal humanoid. The bones perfectly clean, no remnant of flesh or tissue on them, as if all of it had been burned away, fully decayed. There's no ligament, no organ, just perfect white bone. She is draped in the remnants of the cloaks she wore in life. Dark, tattered, not kept within. The ribcage pulses a crimson light. And even from a distance you all can see all across the alabaster bones there's etchings as if it was inlaid with organic looking pulses of red stone flaring, as if the bones had veins of blood and crystal in them, each of them flaring with red light. It can be Micah. And within the skull there are two perfect pinpricks of burning red red light. There is no adornment, no jewelry, no marking, no celebration. This figure honored only in death. But from her brow and the crown of her skull, all around rise spikes of bone, small and jagged. Her only crown, the death growing out of her head. And little beads of red light flare from around it as Shistha the Lich queen appears above the dais. I'm going to be doing a little more narrative. Feel free to treat this like a cutscene. And I'm going to put her down in the central of the field. I have a mini for this one. [01:15:26] Speaker C: Isn't this a good picture of the mini? [01:15:28] Speaker D: Yes, I make that. [01:15:30] Speaker B: I did take a good picture of. [01:15:31] Speaker D: I want to see a real close in person. [01:15:34] Speaker B: I have all sorts of reference photos to send to you, so give me a second here. [01:15:39] Speaker C: That makes me feel good. [01:15:44] Speaker B: Okay, I'm sending this in the lore. I'm sending just as many in the lore and reference chat. Also thanks to Daniel. No one should be surprised, but he helped me with all of these. [01:15:54] Speaker D: Oh, she's beautiful. I know that we're supposed to hate her, but I love that mini. [01:16:00] Speaker E: That is. [01:16:00] Speaker D: Yes, we need to put that on Patreon for sure. [01:16:05] Speaker B: As she arises at the. I'm treating it like it's happening in different moments in time, but it's all happening in the same. All these pictures will be going up on the Patreon. You should get the Patreon also. Across the room, different figures assemble themselves. These three skeletal figures arrive. They look. Actually, they're not skeletal. They look like a desiccated human body pulled tightly to a frame that has some muscle. But it's as if everything has calcified into bone. As if the skin and the flesh and the bone has all calcified together. And you all can, if you so desire, give me history. No, I wouldn't cause a history check. You could give me a really high DC rumors or an arcana check to try and know what these beings are. As I send a Lore and reference image. Both DCs will be very high. They're very arcana. [01:17:16] Speaker D: Oh, not good. [01:17:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll do arcana, I think. [01:17:20] Speaker D: Yeah, I got a 23. [01:17:23] Speaker C: I got a 29. Okay, 29. [01:17:27] Speaker D: Let's go green. [01:17:28] Speaker C: What is 29 from? Oh, 29. [01:17:30] Speaker B: 29. [01:17:32] Speaker C: Sorry, I forgot. Why did I. [01:17:38] Speaker A: Ro. [01:17:38] Speaker B: You're unfamiliar, but, Greta, you have heard of such creatures from. There's an image in Lore in reference. And I will put all this reference artwork on the Patreon from the Hags. This is a death wight, a sort of crystallized body kept to keep a powerful figure of undead. I have modified the stat block, but you know who's surprised? Then appearing, there are flares of energy from each of these other three circles. Do you see the smaller magic circles on the side of Shistas? Each of them flares with power and appear three more figures. I have minis for these two. I will also send reference images. Let me send some reference images on those. I also have reference artwork for these. I've been preparing for a long time. I've been preparing for a long time. [01:18:55] Speaker D: Ooh, they're just cute little guys, too. They're just little guys with really, really, [01:18:59] Speaker B: really, really, really long hands. Cute guys. Long hands. [01:19:05] Speaker D: Fingers should not be that long. [01:19:11] Speaker B: They were fun to paint and appear on the field. Three skeletal figures stretched and elongated, their bones turning into blades. At the end of their hands, there are thick streams of blood still moving between some of the bone fragments. And from below them, their legs disappear into clouds of winding Smoke and robes on each of their heads. Each of them is wearing a veil that rises down from the back of their brow as if like a religious veil, but it is all flowing blood going only backwards down the back of their head. And some of them have. Have crowns of spiked obsidian coming out of them. And they all. I would like Greta to make me an arcana check here. Only Greta. [01:20:05] Speaker C: Okay. That is going to be a. Where's my she? It's gonna be a 29 again. [01:20:16] Speaker B: Jeez, dude. 29. Okay. As if it's not par for the course for us, the numerology is already getting weird. Greta's rolled two 29s in a row. And Rose last rolls were 22, 22, 23. Greta. Oh, those are bone claws you've heard about. Bone claws are figures who tried to turn themselves into liches and failed. [01:20:39] Speaker D: Oh, [01:20:41] Speaker C: yeah, that sounds really did not [01:20:43] Speaker B: survive the necromantic process. [01:20:45] Speaker C: They did not describe anything. [01:20:47] Speaker B: One more thing assimilates itself in the back of the room. Many of these bones are pulling together into figures and shapes. But you all watch as more and more and more and more of the bones gather at the back of the space, making something bigger, something more horrible. [01:21:09] Speaker D: I don't like you. [01:21:17] Speaker B: I've put the mini down on the map. I'll put some reference artwork in. Holy smokes. [01:21:24] Speaker C: That's huge. [01:21:26] Speaker B: Sorry about this, guys. But not sorry enough not to do it. I've put some up close pictures in the reference channel. I also have artwork for this one that I will be putting in the reference panel. [01:21:37] Speaker A: Zach painted this one, I think. [01:21:40] Speaker B: Yes. Over the course of weeks, appearing in the back of the space as the bones pile and assimilate. You all watch as they make up a larger and larger figure. Huge, massive limbs begin rising before forming a huge torso. You watch as vertebrae after vertebrae after vertebrae after vertebrae, like, begin forming a horrible tail with a spike at the end. Wings stretch out and eventually flesh begins knitting itself around the tissue. Necrotic flesh holding everything together. As an undead dragon forms up in the space at the back. It opens its mouth and instead of a roar, there's just this hiss, as if the syrinx didn't form enough to make the space. I need everyone to roll me. Initiative. [01:22:41] Speaker A: Initiative time. [01:22:44] Speaker B: We're doing it, folks. [01:22:46] Speaker C: Wow. Greta and Tello rolled the same thing. Not with their Dex modifiers, but still. [01:22:54] Speaker B: Okay. [01:22:56] Speaker C: Tello has a 10. Not good. Greta has a eight. [01:23:01] Speaker A: I'm using my per diem. [01:23:05] Speaker B: Excellent. I just rolled horrible for a couple of the bad guys. You said Greta got a what? [01:23:16] Speaker C: Greta got a eight. [01:23:20] Speaker B: Okay, let me do some real quick math. Okay. All right, let's roll for Queenie. Craig also got an 8. Okay. Craig got an eight. Oh, my goodness. I'm getting sick to my stomach. The nervous diarrhea is coming on. [01:23:48] Speaker A: All right. [01:23:50] Speaker E: Woo. [01:23:50] Speaker B: Guys, I can't believe we're doing this. [01:23:53] Speaker D: Ro get. [01:23:55] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. [01:23:56] Speaker B: No, no. [01:23:56] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:23:57] Speaker D: Ro got a seven, But Boz got a 21. [01:24:14] Speaker B: Well, that's high. What did wrong Grim get? [01:24:21] Speaker A: 17. [01:24:21] Speaker B: 17. Okay. [01:24:23] Speaker A: Wrong Grim. [01:24:24] Speaker B: What is your dex modifier? [01:24:26] Speaker A: 17. Yeah. [01:24:28] Speaker B: What is your decks? Your dex modifier is 17. That's really high. Okay. [01:24:33] Speaker A: No, no, I said. Sorry. I'm. It's. [01:24:36] Speaker B: Oh, gotcha. [01:24:37] Speaker A: Bit behind on mine. [01:24:39] Speaker B: No problem. And Craig and Greta, you rolled the same initiatives. What are your dex modifiers, respectively? [01:24:45] Speaker C: Mine is plus two. [01:24:49] Speaker B: Micah, you can say it into the mic. It's okay. I mean, I'm not forcing you, but. Okay. [01:24:54] Speaker E: I mean, I can, but at the same time, it's hard. Like, my. My computer has a big lag when I mute and unmute. [01:25:00] Speaker A: Okay. [01:25:01] Speaker E: Didn't. In that moment. Don't know why, but it's plus one. [01:25:07] Speaker B: Okay, so Greta will go first. Let me write down some initiative really quickly, and then we're going to pop off. If you have anything to say to each other right now, you can. [01:25:19] Speaker E: So what are we gonna go at first? You know, [01:25:25] Speaker A: I. I would yell to Craig. The left one. We go to the left one. The one in the circle on the left, I think. [01:25:33] Speaker E: My left or your left? Just kidding. I'm so scared. [01:25:40] Speaker B: Just kidding. [01:25:40] Speaker D: I'm so scared. [01:25:41] Speaker B: Just kidding. I'm so scared. [01:25:43] Speaker A: I didn't hear you. I'm sorry. [01:25:44] Speaker D: What? [01:25:48] Speaker C: Hey. [01:25:48] Speaker E: I am so scared. [01:25:54] Speaker C: Big farts. [01:25:55] Speaker B: My goodness. [01:25:57] Speaker C: Good. [01:26:00] Speaker B: All the enemies take a point of poison damage. [01:26:03] Speaker C: Nice. Let's go, Craig. Fart more, fart more. [01:26:09] Speaker B: That'll be on our next. Sure. [01:26:13] Speaker A: They're probably immune to poison. [01:26:14] Speaker D: Fart more. Or all the enemies get poison damage from Fart. That's too long. Never mind. [01:26:24] Speaker B: That was really good, actually. [01:26:26] Speaker D: Shut up. [01:26:28] Speaker B: That was actually, and this is true, really good. Okay. All right. Sorry. That was so many different initiatives also. Bear with me. This is going to be one of the most complicated, complicated combats I've ever run. All right. At the top. [01:26:39] Speaker D: That's what you said about, like, the last of our. [01:26:41] Speaker C: I know. [01:26:42] Speaker B: This one is monumentally complicated. Would somebody roll me a D4? What if we say no, I'll roll it. [01:26:53] Speaker D: Never mind. I think. I think Micah's rolling. [01:26:56] Speaker A: She's just muted. Okay. [01:27:01] Speaker E: Yeah. [01:27:02] Speaker D: Act's gotta be good, right? That's a crit. [01:27:05] Speaker E: Bad. [01:27:06] Speaker D: That's bad. [01:27:06] Speaker B: Never mind. It's so, so good. [01:27:12] Speaker D: Yikes. [01:27:15] Speaker B: As you all stand in the chamber and all these undead figures raised [01:27:20] Speaker D: there [01:27:20] Speaker B: is from all of the magical symbols on the floor, there's this pulse. And where all of you all stand, you shudder and flinch. And black varicose veins pulse up your body. You trigger horrid necrosis. And all living creatures within Black Fang must make a constitution Saving throw. [01:27:42] Speaker C: Okay, all What? [01:27:44] Speaker D: All us. 10ft of what we got to what [01:27:51] Speaker B: are within 10ft of you. Craig is Ro, Greta and Rondo. [01:28:00] Speaker E: All of Those people add plus three. [01:28:03] Speaker C: Thank you, Craig. [01:28:05] Speaker D: Ro got a 23. [01:28:07] Speaker A: Oh, I got a not 20 for 33. [01:28:16] Speaker C: I have to roll my dice. [01:28:18] Speaker D: And boss got a 19. [01:28:22] Speaker B: Okay. Oh, guys, good rolls. [01:28:25] Speaker E: What saving throw was this? [01:28:27] Speaker B: Constitution. [01:28:29] Speaker E: Okay, I gotta send it to you, [01:28:38] Speaker D: Right? Retta. Remember, we're blessed. So we can also add another D4 to a roll. [01:28:44] Speaker C: Oh, Tella's blessed. Ah, it's probably not a good time to. It's probably okay. [01:28:51] Speaker D: Do we. We keep having that, right? That's not just a one time thing. It's a blessed. [01:28:55] Speaker B: No, no. [01:28:55] Speaker E: Okay. It does end. [01:28:58] Speaker B: I think it's eventually, but it's up for a long time. [01:29:01] Speaker D: For an hour. [01:29:04] Speaker E: Wait, hold on, let me see. But I'm pretty sure it's 10 minutes. [01:29:08] Speaker C: No, it's a minute. [01:29:10] Speaker B: Micah said. Micah said one round, 10 minutes. [01:29:13] Speaker E: That's what I meant. I'm sorry, I meant I was thinking on round of combat. But yes, it's one minute. [01:29:21] Speaker C: That doesn't go away. We can just use it. [01:29:23] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean. Okay, well, then 10 rounds of combat need to pass before it ends, so. [01:29:29] Speaker C: Okay. I thought it was a one time use. [01:29:32] Speaker B: What did Tello and Greta get? [01:29:34] Speaker C: No, I don't want. [01:29:37] Speaker B: I can just pick a number. [01:29:39] Speaker C: Got a five, which is probably not any better than a number you would pick. [01:29:44] Speaker B: It's not. That was a really good retort, Greta. What'd she get? [01:29:47] Speaker C: Greta got a. Well, she's got to do some math, which we know she loves Constitution, so two. Well, she's gonna bless herself also, since she can just do that forever, which is really cool. So she's gonna have. [01:30:06] Speaker D: Do I need to make a constitution? No. Never mind. [01:30:12] Speaker A: Not until damage is done. [01:30:14] Speaker D: Yeah, that's right. [01:30:15] Speaker B: 25, Greta. 25. [01:30:18] Speaker D: Let's go, Gretz. [01:30:21] Speaker C: Let's go, Grits. [01:30:22] Speaker B: Okay. Well, you guys rolled phenomenally. It was DC15 and everyone's still going to take damage, but [01:30:31] Speaker D: did not save nine. [01:30:35] Speaker B: Okay. Oh, nine. But then I rolled two. That's very both into the extreme. So that is 11 points. So for those of you all who succeeded. So that is Greta, Ro, boss, Craig, everyone but Tello. For everyone who succeeded, you only take five points of necrotic damage. Tello takes 11. But that. That damage is reduced from your maximum. So your maximum is now 5 lower and Telos is 11 lower. [01:31:10] Speaker C: Okay. What? Okay. What? Wait. Okay, I have a question. [01:31:16] Speaker B: Huh? I have an answer. [01:31:18] Speaker C: If My max was 119. My max. And I'm at 90 right now. My max is now one. [01:31:26] Speaker B: Yes. [01:31:26] Speaker C: 114. [01:31:27] Speaker B: 114. [01:31:29] Speaker C: Got it, got it, got it. [01:31:30] Speaker D: Thank you. [01:31:30] Speaker B: Yes. A good time to have done Heroes Feast. Okay, that is the lair. Action. We go now to the top of initiative. Boss. [01:31:41] Speaker D: Oh, great. [01:31:43] Speaker C: Sorry. [01:31:43] Speaker D: I'm fine. [01:31:44] Speaker B: That's okay. [01:31:45] Speaker A: No, no, no. [01:31:45] Speaker B: Let's do this thing. Let's do this thing. [01:31:48] Speaker D: Okay. Sorry. I'm trying to get my map to not glitch. Okay, so I am. Boss is red. And so. I'm Sorry, I'm confused. Of what. Which is which? The. The closest enemy to boss is the white guy. Yes, white man. [01:32:07] Speaker E: Sorry. [01:32:07] Speaker A: All right, goofy goober. [01:32:09] Speaker D: And that is what? That's not the bone claw, right? That's the dip. The other one. [01:32:15] Speaker B: Yeah, the dip. The duh. The other one. [01:32:17] Speaker E: The. [01:32:17] Speaker D: The. The one. Okay, the other one is correct, actually. Okay, I think that Boz is going to. Okay, I'm going to. He's not concentrating on anything. No, he going to call lightning. We're going to do that right now. [01:32:42] Speaker B: Okay. [01:32:46] Speaker C: Can you call lightning since we're in a tower? [01:32:49] Speaker D: Oh, true. I forgot about that. Never mind. Storm cloud appears in shape. No, you can't. If you can't. If the spell fails, if you can't see a point in the air where the storm cloud could appear. I forgot that we were inside. [01:32:59] Speaker B: Now you have the height, but not the volume. [01:33:01] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so we are going to. Sorry, I'm reading to make sure it's okay. [01:33:14] Speaker B: Man, it's. Hey, we're in for it. There's no rush. Buckle up. This is about to be a lot of combat. Take your time. Breathe it out. Micah. The blessing of the first flame is if someone is within in. If somebody could check me on this. 15ft of boss. It might be 10. It might be 15. Somebody double check. [01:33:36] Speaker D: I have it right here. Four fire damage on 15ft for five. For five combat rounds. [01:33:43] Speaker C: That's only for that's. Only for melee attacks. So Craig, that's good for you. [01:33:47] Speaker B: Yeah, but we're also not within 15ft, so it doesn't matter. [01:33:51] Speaker D: And I'll keep track of the rounds though. [01:33:56] Speaker B: Excellent. I also keep track combat. [01:33:58] Speaker D: Okay, [01:34:00] Speaker B: that's sick. That's really cool. [01:34:02] Speaker D: He's going to. [01:34:05] Speaker B: That's really sick. [01:34:09] Speaker D: Okay, a 30 foot cone. Would there be any way to get both the white guy and the. And the guy in the triangle in that cone? [01:34:19] Speaker B: Can we officially call them white guys the rest of the time? [01:34:21] Speaker D: White guy. [01:34:23] Speaker A: Wait, what? [01:34:23] Speaker E: What? [01:34:24] Speaker C: Their names could be Zach and Chris. [01:34:26] Speaker E: No, don't go. [01:34:28] Speaker A: Zack. [01:34:29] Speaker B: Abby. Inspiration. Take inspiration. That's so good. Take inspiration. [01:34:34] Speaker E: Yay. [01:34:44] Speaker D: Yeah. Is that possible? [01:34:50] Speaker B: If he moves once? If he. If he moves. Where is the map relative to you? If he moves a little bit that way, my finger's showing up there. If he moves 5 or 10ft that way and then turns, he can get them both. [01:35:09] Speaker D: Okay, we're gonna do that. And then, then he's going to cast. He's going to cast first. Flame. [01:35:16] Speaker B: Yes. Good choice. Excellent. That's a deck saving throw, correct? [01:35:23] Speaker D: Yes. [01:35:25] Speaker B: Wow, that was a dramatic roll. Dice spun so much. Dex save. I got a 13 with my death white. I'm sure that fails. And then my bone claw get. Let me read all these features. Oh my goodness. So many features. Okay. My bone claw gets a 17. What's the save? [01:35:47] Speaker D: DC19. So they both fail. [01:35:50] Speaker B: Okay, excellent. Okay, again, if you want to describing, feel free to do so. Yes. 12d6. If you want to be doing describing, let me know. Otherwise, as Boz steps forward, he just. He puts. He like whispers. He puts druid's defense up in front of his face, like shielding him. He gets down on his knees, he whispers in druidic and he slams his hand down into the ground. And the golden fire of the deep magic just takes off in this coal in this cone. This golden fire setting off in front of him. [01:36:26] Speaker D: Guys, I have to get out more dice. I thought I had enough. [01:36:39] Speaker B: Also, as a heads up. As a heads up after Boz, it's Shista. Then wrong. Grim is on deck. And then other things. [01:36:57] Speaker D: Well, oh, there's. Okay, okay, okay. So that is going to be. Here we go. [01:37:05] Speaker C: Okay, I have a hiccup. [01:37:08] Speaker E: So bad. [01:37:09] Speaker B: Rn Bubby Arnar. Breath from bleeding Mother of the dead. [01:37:23] Speaker D: That is going to be 45 points of fire damage. [01:37:27] Speaker B: 45 points of. [01:37:29] Speaker D: 45 points of damage. [01:37:31] Speaker E: Yes. [01:37:35] Speaker D: It does say structures and inanimate objects suffer double damage from the spell. I don't know if you need that for any reason, that. [01:37:42] Speaker B: No, that would. That would apply. Nothing in here is flammable, but it would apply. Well, that's good. [01:37:47] Speaker D: I. [01:37:49] Speaker B: Okay. 45 damage is a lot. [01:37:52] Speaker D: A lot. [01:37:54] Speaker B: Okay, that's going to leave me with. [01:37:57] Speaker D: Boz is coming out swinging. Yeah. [01:38:00] Speaker B: Good move. Great move. So as boss steps forward and slams that fire down, it sets off and you watch as the death white, like, goes to make a quick movement. But Boz is just so fast. He's so quick as he goes to put his hands down, the roots from his fingers pull his hand to the ground, moving him even faster, and the flame bursts out too quickly. The Boneclaw simply opens its arms backward and lets itself catch the heat as the fire burns away. After there's the scorch mark on the floor and some of the gold flame is just licking up on the stone, you look as the Death Wight in front of him looks severely burned. A lot of its tissues have cracked. Some of that, like, calcified, like, skin tissue all over. It has split as if from heat. And now there's, like, searing, smoking tissue beneath. It's making this horrible smell. And it's charred all over, and it, like, stumbles slightly. It looks awful. And the bone claw. [01:38:59] Speaker D: The bone claw doesn't look. [01:39:01] Speaker B: Daniel White looks really, really, really, really, really, really badly hurt. The bone claw looks. It is charred all over, and some of the blood flowing across it is burned away. It looks. It looks damaged. It looks like. It looks like it took some hurt. [01:39:13] Speaker D: Okay, and which is the one that failed to be a Lich? [01:39:19] Speaker B: The Bone Claw. [01:39:21] Speaker D: The bone claw. Oh, but Foz wouldn't know that, Woody. [01:39:25] Speaker B: Who cares? [01:39:26] Speaker D: Can we say wood? Because I have a thing. Okay, he's gonna. Bonus action. Vicious mockery. [01:39:31] Speaker B: Yes. [01:39:33] Speaker D: And he's gonna say, you failed to become a Lich and you will fail against us. [01:39:38] Speaker B: Oh, that's just good. His boss shouts that out. He shouts it in the deepest speech so it comes out in all those tongues. And you watch as the bone claw, like, shudders slightly and just stares at him. What kind of saving throw is this? [01:39:53] Speaker D: It's. It's vicious mockery. So it's 44 psychic damage. [01:40:01] Speaker B: Okay, so it's saving throw is. [01:40:02] Speaker A: It's. [01:40:03] Speaker B: It's a. It's a psychic damage saving throw. [01:40:04] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:40:06] Speaker B: No, that was sarcasm. Is it a wisdom saving throw or an intelligence saving throw? Or charisma? I don't know. With vicious mockery. I'm looking Wisdom. Excellent. That is a 13. He fails. [01:40:17] Speaker D: Okay, and that's 10 points to psychic damage. [01:40:20] Speaker B: Roll that. Sweet, sweet psychic damage. Hey, Doing some damage. [01:40:23] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:40:25] Speaker B: My guy's starting to look a little hurt, and I have disadvantage on my next attack against you or something. [01:40:32] Speaker E: Oh. [01:40:33] Speaker D: Oh, yeah. [01:40:34] Speaker B: Like that? [01:40:34] Speaker D: I think so. Yeah. [01:40:36] Speaker B: Okay. Phenomenal. Very cool. Excellent. Very cool against at all. [01:40:41] Speaker A: Not just against. [01:40:43] Speaker B: Okay. Just disadvantage on the next attack. That's great. That's really, really good. Okay, Shish this turn. Oh, what to do, what to do, what to do. So many choices. I think Shista will. She's going to use her. What order should we do this in? Yeah, we'll do it this way. She's going to open with agony blast. So she raises her hands above the ground, and you all watch as she raising her hands upward. It looks like she's struggling against weight, and she just. And she raises her hands upward. You watch as, like, it's like she's pushing something upward in the air. And then all of these like. Like bolts of energy just, like, pulls down from her arms toward the ground as if she's pulling energy out of the ground. And all of the red glyphs around the room flare and they flash upward with energy. And all these. These Rs of energy strike into you all, and they hit you. And you all feel in your flesh, in your skin, in your nervous systems, in your minds, in your hearts. You are forced to relive some of the worst pain of your life. She's literally forcing your nervous systems to relive their suffering. So both physically, mentally, and emotionally, she's reaching out through. Through illusion and divination and necromancy. I need everyone here to give me a wisdom saving throw, which you all have advantage on. Micah gave me a thumbs down because she only has advantage and a plus three. [01:42:28] Speaker C: I've never used a dice tower, but I am, and this is really fun. They're very fun, but I can't see my dice. [01:42:35] Speaker B: Everybody else does. [01:42:36] Speaker C: Okay. [01:42:38] Speaker B: He's just sacrificial like that. [01:42:42] Speaker C: Okay. [01:42:44] Speaker B: Oh, that's what I didn't get enough of. [01:42:46] Speaker C: Okay. [01:42:51] Speaker D: Ro got a 21. And Boz got a 27. [01:42:54] Speaker B: Six. Phenomenal. Ro got a 21. Boss got a 26. [01:43:01] Speaker D: The dice I'm using for boss [01:43:05] Speaker B: are rolling really well. [01:43:07] Speaker D: I didn't want to. I didn't want to finish the sentence. I didn't want to. [01:43:11] Speaker B: You were like, no, no, no. [01:43:12] Speaker D: I was like, never mind. [01:43:14] Speaker B: Row has not rolled below 20 so far this session. Knock on wood. [01:43:19] Speaker D: Let's keep that going. [01:43:23] Speaker E: 23. [01:43:24] Speaker B: 23 for Craig. That's phenomenal. [01:43:28] Speaker E: Very good. [01:43:31] Speaker B: What did. What did Wrong Grim get Durngle. Oh, no. Is he frozen? He's frozen. Okay, we'll go ahead and get. If anyone wants to message in the chat, Daniel. Either to hop back out and back in or to ask for the roll. If he doesn't. I'll roll for him in a second. Greta and Taylor. [01:43:56] Speaker C: I'm thinking so hard. I got so confused. [01:44:00] Speaker B: Oh, cool, you can hear us good. Wrong. Got a 24. So confused. What's that from? [01:44:15] Speaker C: Okay, Okay, I have my numbers yet again. [01:44:30] Speaker B: That thing where like a notification pops up and I go to click on it, but then it just like exits everything out. I hate crazy. [01:44:38] Speaker A: Can you hear me? [01:44:40] Speaker B: We can. We can hear you, Daniel. Just remember to be careful with the audio on phones if we don't get any feedback or anything. [01:44:47] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I turned off all my notification stuff. [01:44:51] Speaker B: Okay. You are so much louder now. [01:44:54] Speaker D: I know. That's what I was thinking. [01:44:55] Speaker B: I was like, wow, so loud now. Okay, 22 and a 21 [01:45:04] Speaker A: alarm breaking up. That's awesome. [01:45:06] Speaker B: So. [01:45:07] Speaker C: Well, we would never break up. [01:45:10] Speaker B: You guys. You guys have pulled so well on everything. Not a single person. [01:45:15] Speaker A: Did you see mine 23 or 24. Yeah. [01:45:20] Speaker B: Yes, understood. But thank you for checking in. [01:45:23] Speaker A: I also am probably, since it's going to be damaged, gonna be reusing my reaction to help out Greta because she's got the least amount of hit points. [01:45:32] Speaker B: Understood. So everybody saves, which is great. Let me roll. Damage. This is going to be 6012 psychic damage. That's a good time to roll. Well, everybody. Cuz I rolled really high. 10. 22 is 32 plus 24 is. What's 32 plus 24? 56. That is 56 points of psychic damage. Now because literally everyone saved. And that was a DC19 saving throw. Since everyone saved, you all take half damage, which is going to be 28. So everyone takes 28 points of psychic damage. And because you did not fail, you do not have halved movement or a lack of reactions. So you all do keep your reactions and do not have your movement halved. [01:46:30] Speaker D: How many did you say? 24 or 28? [01:46:32] Speaker B: 28. [01:46:35] Speaker A: I also am going to reduce 17 of Greta's damage. And 17 damage happens at the gallows. [01:46:46] Speaker B: Okay, so, Abby, 17 less than 28 means you're only taking 11. Yes. You're only taking 11 points of damage. [01:46:53] Speaker C: Okay, [01:46:56] Speaker B: so 17 points of damage to Shiztha. Yes. Go ahead and describe for me what what that looks like as everyone convulses in pain and like wretches and like steels Themselves. But there's this flare of divine magic from the heavy heroes feast that protects you all. Wrong. Going to describe for me what it looks like as the spirits help protect Greta and lash outward. It's just though 1 million. [01:47:19] Speaker A: First off, I did. I do have my shield out. This isn't a spell, correct? [01:47:24] Speaker B: No, it's not. It's not a spell. [01:47:25] Speaker A: Okay. [01:47:25] Speaker B: It's also not an AOE. Is your. Your shirt just for AOEs? [01:47:29] Speaker A: Right, right, right. [01:47:32] Speaker B: Well, yeah. [01:47:32] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, hey, it's all good. Yeah. The. The. I think he's going to like, steel himself behind the shield on the trident. As the terribleness of my memories are happening. I think I'm going to use one of the spirits as like a comforting voice for me. And then the two other spirits are going to go whisper comforting voices to Bretta to help shield some of the psychic damage that is accompanying the attack. [01:47:56] Speaker B: That's sick. You watch as all of them lash outward at Shista. Like the spirits and they do. They grab her and they strike it. It's interesting when you're. You notice this with the. With the undead you fought the other day and the unceasing massacre. When your spirits attack other. When they attack undead, it's not physical attacks. They just like. It's like they interact with their spirit so as they like. Like they just reach out and touch Szta and you watch her recoil and seem to feel pain, but you also watch her eyes flare. Shista is going to utilize her feature, Breath from Bleeding. Since you all took damage from Shista, everyone has to make a constitution saving throw for me. Since everyone took damage from Shista, everyone has to take a constitution saving throw. [01:48:50] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [01:48:53] Speaker B: There's gonna be so many checks the session. Yes. So that means that Wrong, Grim, Greta and Ro all have a plus three. [01:49:02] Speaker A: I got a third to two. [01:49:04] Speaker C: Wait, so we have a plus three? Why do we. Oh, sorry. Because. So Rongrim, Row and Greta. [01:49:10] Speaker B: Yeah, wrong and Greta also. Micah, you are so on top of your features, dude. Thank you for remembering that and paying attention to it. Big appreciation. Lies. [01:49:18] Speaker D: Faw's got a 17 range. Roe got a dirty 20. [01:49:21] Speaker B: Okay, guys, you are rolling so well. This is awesome. [01:49:37] Speaker D: Am I out of just a question. I don't know why I had this in my head. V doesn't have any kind of weird resistance or anything to psychic damage. I don't know why. Why? [01:49:45] Speaker B: He has something. He has something. I don't think he has straight up resistance, but I think he gets to reduce some of it. [01:49:51] Speaker D: That's what I thought, but I can't. [01:49:53] Speaker B: Thank you, Micah. But also, what I'll say is, like, you know, don't. Don't kill yourself over. You know, like. Like, do your best to find it. And if you can't, hey, that's. That's the responsibility of a different player to communicate information. Right? [01:50:07] Speaker D: Okay. [01:50:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:50:10] Speaker C: Hello. Got a 16. Greta. Got a 18. Also, Greta and Tella rolled the same thing again. That's twice this session that they've rolled the exact same number. [01:50:21] Speaker B: You guys are rolling so well, no one fails. [01:50:27] Speaker E: Wow. [01:50:27] Speaker B: No one fails. So as she reaches out at you all, as you all. As she hurts you, it's like as you are harmed, she's trying to drain the. The life out of you. And you all watch as she raises her fingers and her hands flare and the eyes flare in her. But as all that light lights up and all that power is. Is. Is evocated or evoked, you all watch again as. As some golden, divine light flares back at you all and repels her and that. That divine favor given to you all. Yes. Yeah, Craig. Every single [01:51:02] Speaker A: one. [01:51:02] Speaker B: One of those checks, they can use it on. Bless is awesome. Honestly, Micah, that was a pretty optimal call, my dude. That was excellent. Now, that was as a couple notes. Oh, my goodness. It's a complicated combat. Two of you are Constitution, Craig and [01:51:18] Speaker A: Ro. [01:51:18] Speaker B: So Craig and Row both need to make Constitution saving to maintain concentration on their. On their spells. Since it was 28 damage. That's Daniel. That's 14. DC 14. [01:51:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:51:31] Speaker B: Half. [01:51:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:51:33] Speaker D: Do I get to. Do I get to add a. Do I get to add three to this one? [01:51:38] Speaker B: Because you're within sick. [01:51:39] Speaker A: 10ft of rug and bless. [01:51:42] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:51:43] Speaker B: Yeah. And a plus four or D4? [01:51:46] Speaker E: I got a nine. [01:51:49] Speaker D: I got a 15. [01:51:50] Speaker B: 11. Micah. [01:51:52] Speaker C: No, I got a nine. [01:51:54] Speaker B: A nine total. [01:51:57] Speaker E: I did not keep Bless. I'm sorry, y'. [01:51:59] Speaker B: All. [01:51:59] Speaker A: Okay. [01:51:59] Speaker B: What'd you get, Ro? [01:52:00] Speaker D: I got a 15. Crazy enough with my. With my buffs and the plus three. It barely. [01:52:08] Speaker B: Your spell maintains Row, but Bless fades. Craig, as you are. As you are. Shuck or shook. Shook. I don't want to talk about. As you are. You're shaking. [01:52:18] Speaker A: Shook his head. [01:52:19] Speaker B: As you are shaken by feelings of agony. Craig, what you feel is the terror of watching Greta die. The pain. But what you feel is. You feel the sting of the words that Catherine has said to you, reaped by your own actions. And you lose concentration on your bless as the golden light fades from your allies. [01:52:40] Speaker E: I'm not letting this. [01:52:45] Speaker D: Oh, I found It. Zach, I won't use it for this, obviously, but I now know what it is. Once per long rest, boss can reduce one source of psychic damage by 1D12 as a reaction. [01:52:57] Speaker B: Great. [01:52:58] Speaker D: So now I know I have that. [01:52:59] Speaker B: Hey, that's. That's awesome. Okay. Holy cow. All of that to get through two people in the first round of combat. Wrong room. It is. Oh, and then she's gonna use movement. [01:53:13] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course she would. [01:53:29] Speaker B: She's just gonna float backward in between the undead dragon and the Boneclaw. So she's now being flanked at each side. [01:53:36] Speaker E: Of course. [01:53:37] Speaker B: Okay. It's just this hollow, floating. She moves backward. Vangrim, it is your turn in. [01:53:48] Speaker A: So, just to understand a little bit, when you said the bone claw earlier took damage, did it look like it took half damage from the fire, or was it like. [01:54:00] Speaker B: No, sorry, sorry, sorry. [01:54:01] Speaker A: It just had a lot points. [01:54:03] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. Sorry if that was vague language. Yeah, no, it. It looks cool. [01:54:09] Speaker E: Cool, cool. [01:54:10] Speaker A: And that's the one that is in the circle to the left, Right? The bone claws in the circle. [01:54:15] Speaker B: Yes, sir. [01:54:15] Speaker A: Is. Do I have enough room to get to that bone claw? [01:54:20] Speaker B: Probably. What's your movement again? [01:54:22] Speaker A: 35ft. [01:54:24] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:54:29] Speaker A: I would like to go over there. [01:54:35] Speaker B: You're on him. [01:54:37] Speaker A: And when I get there, I'm going to say, remember, Craig, this one. And I'm gonna. Recklessly. Actually, I'm gonna. Bonus action. Engage my trident to be extra fiery damage. Yeah. [01:54:49] Speaker B: It flares with fire. [01:54:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:54:54] Speaker B: Now, real quick, durngle, something's actually going to happen to you first. So, as you move within its space, the Boneclaw uses deadly reach. So because you have moved into its attack range, it actually gets to make an attack at you. [01:55:11] Speaker A: Rude. [01:55:13] Speaker B: So, as you step in, you shout to Craig, and you flare your trident with flame. But as you move inward, the. It's like. It's like a. It's like a horror movie. Like a match cut. It's, like floating there, and then in a single moment, it's suddenly on you, and it lashes out at you. What is your AC? [01:55:31] Speaker A: 22. [01:55:32] Speaker B: Okay, that was a. Not too far above. That was a 24 to hit. [01:55:37] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:55:40] Speaker B: The high AC is going to really matter here, actually. So it gets a 24 to hit. So you are going to take. You're raging, correct? [01:55:48] Speaker A: Yes. I didn't. I have not lost my rage since the last fight. [01:55:52] Speaker B: Oh, right, because you have persistent rage, man. Isn't that awesome? [01:55:56] Speaker C: Me, too, actually. [01:55:57] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:55:59] Speaker B: Okay. Oh, well, I did not roll high on damage. That Is going to be. I rolled terrible on damage. That's going to be in a. [01:56:10] Speaker A: No. [01:56:10] Speaker B: 15 points of piercing damage as the claws rake out against you and pull against your back. Because it hit on its first one, it now gets the opportunity to hit on a second attack. [01:56:22] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [01:56:25] Speaker B: Stinky little guys. Well, that was a good roll. That one hits. That's a 27 to hit. Roll again. Wow. Another horrible damage roll. 15 again. 15 points of slash. [01:56:40] Speaker A: Nice. [01:56:41] Speaker B: Again. We'd love to hear it with these horrible, like, quick movements, but you are in its vicinity. [01:56:47] Speaker A: Hell, yeah. I'm going to recklessly attack it because again, Ron Grim does not think this thing won't hit him. Or on the chance. Yeah, I'm recklessly attacking it because I can't. [01:56:59] Speaker B: Understood. Here we go. [01:57:03] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:57:04] Speaker A: Finally got a nat20 with my trident. [01:57:07] Speaker B: Yo. That took a long, long, long, long time, Daniel. [01:57:11] Speaker C: So long. [01:57:12] Speaker A: Try my other one. The other one is going to be a 24 to hit. [01:57:20] Speaker B: Those will both hit. What's your NAT20 total? [01:57:23] Speaker A: My NAT20 damage? [01:57:25] Speaker B: No, your number. [01:57:27] Speaker A: Oh, 35. Yeah. I get three extra D sixes. [01:57:36] Speaker B: 35 to hit. That's like. That's like a roll to hit that an ancient dragon gets. [01:57:41] Speaker A: Yeah, it does a little bit. Okay, I'm gonna roll. I'm just gonna roll my first one, and I don't have to differentiate, right, Zach? Right, Right. [01:57:52] Speaker B: For no, it is not resistant to fire. This is magical piercing. So you're good. Oh, sweet, sweet damage, man. Durgal, I think the shield is the right call at the moment. [01:58:07] Speaker A: You. [01:58:07] Speaker B: You've been very tactically. [01:58:09] Speaker A: I'm trying, man. I'm trying. Yeah, exactly. [01:58:19] Speaker B: Hey, I'm trying here. [01:58:22] Speaker C: Hey, I'm doing. [01:58:22] Speaker A: Oh, this is gonna be sick. [01:58:25] Speaker B: Hey, I'm raging here. [01:58:30] Speaker A: Holy schnikes. Sorry. Plus 14, right? That's my damage. [01:58:38] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:58:39] Speaker A: No, plus 13. Rude. Daniel, what are you doing? All right, and then. Do you want me to give them separately to you or all together, girl? [01:58:49] Speaker B: Hit me with it. [01:58:51] Speaker A: Oh, that didn't. I throw my other one. [01:58:54] Speaker D: Hit me with the [01:58:59] Speaker B: Jekyll. Hit him with a bread. [01:59:03] Speaker A: Okay. Oh, that's not a one, Daniel. Come on. There it is. [01:59:09] Speaker B: Okay. [01:59:10] Speaker A: All together. I do 100. 125 points of fiery stabby damage. My crit was 75 points, so that's pretty sick. [01:59:24] Speaker B: That's a lot. Durangle. Go ahead and describe to me what it looks like as you almost kill this thing in one attack. [01:59:32] Speaker C: Let's go. [01:59:34] Speaker A: Rongrin comes up and he's just all like. Again. He hasn't been wildly, chaotically raging. He's just in gear, you know, like a guy who's just ready to fight. And so, like, he goes over, he yells the combat trick. The, you know, takes a bunch of damage from this guy, and then he just precisely goes for, like, the arms. And he's just trying to destroy the arms before they continue to hit. And so he just goes one really good, like halfway. Half the trident goes through him. Takes it out and goes to the other side and takes it out and fire licks all its wounds as he just looks and he's like, that's it. [02:00:15] Speaker E: Okay. [02:00:17] Speaker B: Wrong Grim, with two expert martial punches of your Triton. You punch in into the bone and the fire burns around it and licks up the side of it. You watch as the bone claw shudders and convulses. Each of its arms are. Are being barely held on by fragments. But there's really not enough connective tissue anymore. It's just the magic holding together and the punching. Fire. Fire catches on its inside. And even as you pull your trident away, it is still burning. And the boneclaw just screaming and convulsing. It looks like it's almost dead. That was awesome. At the end of Wrong Grim's turn. [02:00:56] Speaker C: No. [02:00:58] Speaker B: Oh, it's. Get used to that. At the end of Rongrim's turn. 2066. [02:01:10] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:01:15] Speaker B: At the end of Wrong Grim's turn, Shista is going to use a legendary action to do Master of Cantrips, which costs her zero legendary actions. [02:01:29] Speaker C: What? [02:01:29] Speaker A: Rude. [02:01:33] Speaker B: And some very, very, very, very high level enemies. Have a little bit of that. She's one of them. Guys, this is a. This is a big fight. Never fought at this scale. And she is going to cast Loathsome Blast. She'll target that at Wrong Grim. Didn't like the way that looked. So you are in range because Loathsome Blast has a stupid range. Your AC is 22 wronggrim B. Okay. That is a 28 to hit. [02:02:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:02:07] Speaker B: So you're gonna be hit with. You're not resistant to necrotic or force, right? [02:02:15] Speaker A: I'm resistant to necrotic, baby. With my mantle. [02:02:18] Speaker B: Oh, yes, Daniel. Smooth move. I'm gonna give these two you separate. Okay. [02:02:25] Speaker A: Okay. [02:02:26] Speaker B: So force first. You're gonna take. That number's hard to read. 11, 19, 23. 30 points of force damage. [02:02:38] Speaker A: Gosh. [02:02:41] Speaker B: Followed up by. What have I done? Where's my fevers? Oh, no. I dropped one. Okay. I was so worried that was gonna wake Luna up. All right. Followed up by five. This is a necrotic damage. Five plus seven. Guys, what's five plus seven? 12. 11. 12 points of necrotic damage. Would you resist to six? [02:03:02] Speaker D: Yeah, I'm sorry, it's actually just five. Five plus seven is. Is five. [02:03:06] Speaker B: She's correct. My bad. I feel a fool. So, Craig, from where you stand, Shista raises up a hand and says simply, you will be with me soon. And the energy fires out of her arm as it streams out at you. It strikes you from the back, and you retch and convulse from the pain. And she fire, firing upon you from behind. Now it is the undead dragon's turn, because unfortunately, Shista and the undead dragon rolled really high initiatives. But on the upside, it's the good guys after this. Tello's on deck, and then Greta, Craig, and Roe are up after that. So the dragon's going now, but Tello's on deck, and then Greta, Craig, and Roe are up next. So it's all the good guys here in a second. This is the undead dragon's turn. [02:03:59] Speaker C: Nice, nice, nice, nice. [02:04:00] Speaker B: Now tings are gonna get a widow. Oh, SpaghettiO. Oh, no. Yeah, I gotta do it. Okay, let me stand up and look at the map. Oh, that's right. So the massive undead dragon just up. Sorry, I just walked back to the table, and there was a message that says, if not, I will heal Geta. And tell her. The undead dragon lumbers forward as it moves all of its bones and flesh. And you can watch with no skin covering it, the remnants of necrotic flesh are pulsing against the bone. And as it strides forward, it kind of moves in front of Shista, protecting her. And then it raises up its head, And it doesn't do a breath weapon out at you. It aims its head down at the floor, and this horrible, thick, heavy black gas streams out from it in 50ft in every single direction, which I believe is everybody. 5, 10, 15. Yeah, that's everyone. [02:05:43] Speaker D: This is why you don't keep dragons in a small, confined space. [02:05:48] Speaker B: Jackie goes. And this is animal cruelty. The necrotic damage you took, one of the die I rolled was a. Was a D10 instead of a D8. And that's my bad. I don't remember what I got on it. So I'm going to imagine for a second that you're getting a whole 10 hit points back. I'm gonna roll a D8 instead. That's four. Okay, so you get six hit points back because I rolled the wrong kind of die. That's my bad, because I needed a [02:06:22] Speaker E: lot of D8 for this. [02:06:22] Speaker B: And I looked over at them and I was like, wait, that's not a D8. Okay, so I need a constitution saving throw from the necrotic br breath against everyone as a heavy as a horrid plume of heavy, dark gas pulses over all of you. [02:06:36] Speaker C: Damn. I can't use evasion for this, can I? [02:06:39] Speaker B: Six, you can. No, no, it's not a Dex save. Sorry. [02:06:45] Speaker C: Right, okay, so confirm everyone, but I [02:06:49] Speaker B: swear that was not an intentional move. Like, I got the rogue. I swear. Is it right? 1, 2, 3, 4. [02:06:58] Speaker D: Do I have plus 3? Am I back? You still have that? [02:07:04] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah, you do. [02:07:06] Speaker C: Oh, I forgot. I'm not rolling with bless. Put my bless away. [02:07:10] Speaker E: 22. [02:07:11] Speaker C: Do I have plus 3 from Craig? Am I within 50? 10? What the heck is even going on? [02:07:16] Speaker B: You are, Greta. Yes. [02:07:18] Speaker C: Thank you. [02:07:19] Speaker B: And in fact, now wrong green. Him and Rowan. Greta, have the plus three, but Tell. [02:07:27] Speaker C: It does not. [02:07:29] Speaker B: No, he's too far away. [02:07:31] Speaker C: Okay, Tell. Got it. [02:07:33] Speaker A: Oh, am I. Am I still within 10ft of him? [02:07:37] Speaker B: You are, actually. [02:07:39] Speaker E: He's so popular. [02:07:40] Speaker A: Oh, I got a 20 then. [02:07:43] Speaker B: Cool. [02:07:45] Speaker D: Ro got an 18. Boss got a 10. [02:07:47] Speaker B: 10. Okay, I know there were some disappointing rolls there, but still, overall, you guys are rolling so high. I'm so impressed. What did I think? The only one I don't have is Greta. Did you say Greta's Abby. I'm sorry. [02:08:01] Speaker C: Greta got a 15. Tella got a 12. [02:08:03] Speaker B: Okay, the 12. I got 15. All right, so some more complex results this time. So Ro and Craig and Ron Longim succeed. So you're gonna take half damage. Tello and Greta and Boz failed, so you will take full damage. And that is going to be 11. D8 necrotic damage. Bother. I rolled. Wow. That's almost a perfect average. Incredible one. Okay, so many of those were fours and fives. Okay, so that's just mathematically fascinating. That is 10. Hold on, give me a second here. 10 plus 20. 30. 36 points. There's almost perfectly average 36 points of necrotic damage. [02:09:03] Speaker D: Is that the whole or the half? [02:09:05] Speaker B: That's the whole. Sorry. 36 holes. [02:09:07] Speaker D: Okay. [02:09:08] Speaker B: Sorry. 36 hole, 18 halved. [02:09:11] Speaker D: Okay, [02:09:14] Speaker A: nice. [02:09:14] Speaker B: Okay, so the dragon lumbers forward and puts the plume of dark smoke. Now, he moved. He moved 20ft. So he'll go ahead and maybe 25. So we'll go ahead 30, 35. No, 40. 45. He'll get right up in everybody's faces. Of course, he's right next to a bunch of the party. So this massive undead dragon Is lumbering forward as he shakes a bunch of the tissue hanging up off of of him, like, undulates. And he. There's all of this. The chamber is still only being dimly lit from underneath by that faint red light, so it's like casting all these shadows upward off of him. And his shadow is climbing around the chamber as he lumbers towards you. Okay, that was intense. That's the undead dragon's turn. Now it's Tello, then it's Greta, then it's Craig, then it's Rob. And there is really only one rule in this party, and that's that Abby always rolls Greta and Tello right next to each other. [02:10:36] Speaker C: Oh, [02:10:39] Speaker B: okay. Abby said, you can't get me if I don't play jokes on you. Dm, I'm back. [02:10:48] Speaker C: Can you guys hear me? [02:10:49] Speaker B: We can, yeah. [02:10:50] Speaker C: Okay. [02:10:50] Speaker B: I don't mean this sarcastically. I mean, very impressed with how we're navigating our technical issues today. We've had so many dilemmas, and we're just handling them. [02:10:58] Speaker C: Okay. Hello. Is gonna shoot that guy on the left. That's the guy the wrong room was attacking, right? [02:11:04] Speaker B: Yes. [02:11:05] Speaker A: Yeah, Tello. [02:11:07] Speaker C: That guy. So he's gonna roll to hit with his enchanted crossbow. [02:11:14] Speaker B: What? [02:11:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Boom. [02:11:21] Speaker C: Oh, my goodness. [02:11:22] Speaker B: We're having the shista fight. This is so wild. [02:11:25] Speaker C: Does DM. How does a 13 sound? [02:11:29] Speaker B: Not cry. Oh, oh, no. Daniel does. He doesn't get advantage cuz an allies within five feet. [02:11:39] Speaker A: No, he gets sneak attack cuz I'm within five feet. [02:11:41] Speaker B: No, I know he didn't, but I. I just want to. Wanted to. Yeah, thirteen's not gonna do it. Okay, you could hide up his shot. [02:11:50] Speaker C: Was that a joke? [02:11:52] Speaker A: It was a joke for me, but the joke. [02:11:55] Speaker D: But then Zach was like. [02:11:57] Speaker B: Unless Daniel said, well, I found it funny. Tello lines up his shot and he goes to fire. And he. I mean, he's an expert marksman. He has it lined up, but as he does, it's like he's steadying himself and moving aside, but he's still coughing up blood from the necrotic gas. And as he steadies himself and lines up his shot, the undead dragon moves right next to him, and he has to move to the side really quickly. And as he sidesteps, the arrow just scatters into the darkness. [02:12:28] Speaker C: Okay, I'm not within range of that on dead dragon, am I? [02:12:34] Speaker B: You can give me a strategies check if you like. [02:12:37] Speaker C: No, I mean, like. I mean, if I'm asking if I'll provoke an opportunity attack if I move [02:12:42] Speaker B: away and I'm telling you, you should give me a strategies check [02:12:46] Speaker C: the wrong dice. Strategies is intelligence. Yes, Strategies is intelligence. [02:13:00] Speaker A: Nine. [02:13:01] Speaker C: Jeez. [02:13:02] Speaker B: I mean, he. No, he's not within five feet. You should be fine. [02:13:09] Speaker C: Okay, Well, if he should be fine, then I'm going to move away from the giant dragon. [02:13:19] Speaker E: Okay, [02:13:22] Speaker B: how far and too [02:13:25] Speaker C: kind of behind. Greta. Tello has 35 movement. 5, 10, 15, 20. Yeah. How about right there? [02:13:40] Speaker B: Okay. Tello makes a really quick slick movement and begins darting away. As he does, he was not with. [02:13:48] Speaker C: I would like to bonus action disengage. Can't see your face right now, Daniel, [02:13:58] Speaker B: can you Bonus action disengage. Once someone's announced an attack against you, that would be a reaction, right? Or do you have to say you're going to do it before. [02:14:05] Speaker A: Yeah. When you know you're leaving. [02:14:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm going to say. Because it wasn't called already. [02:14:12] Speaker C: Because I didn't say outside of. Just so I understand. [02:14:15] Speaker B: Yeah, you need to say, like. You need to say, like, I'm moving and I'm going to disengage because I first. Like, you want to pair those together, and even if you announce it a little later, that's okay. But I was like, okay, well, so now the dragon. And then you're like, I disengage. And it's like, well, okay, we're disengaging because we know an attack's coming. Right. And that would be a reaction, not a bonus action. So as Tello. As Tello moves away, he calculated his distance correctly for all the attacks he's accustomed to. But in the stress of the moment, it slips his mind that a handful, a small select of the truly massive creatures you fought. And maybe this should slip Tello's mind. He was not close to the unceasing massacre. He was not close to the senescent atrocity. So this is the first time he's been in close proximity to one of these immense creatures. And its range for how quickly and how far it can reach out is larger. So as he slips away, the undead dragon is going to get an attack on him. It will use a claw attack, because I think that makes a lot more sense. Okay, what's the tell is AC15. I did not roll well. I have substantial bonus. Okay. I got a 20. So that's going to be. Not all the damage in the world. Oh, but I rolled kind of high 12, 17 points of slashing damage. As Tello darts away, the claws reach out and rake against him, and he stumbles and he, like, slips behind You, Greta. Reloading another bolt. And he. He just curses an insignian as he moves by you. [02:15:46] Speaker C: Okay. [02:15:47] Speaker A: Okay. [02:15:48] Speaker B: I assume that's. [02:15:49] Speaker C: Was that 17. [02:15:52] Speaker B: Yes, yes, 17 points of slashing damage. [02:15:54] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. [02:15:58] Speaker B: All right, it should be Greta's turn. And then Craig is on deck. Rose up after that. It's weird the way this initiative turned out because, like, boss and wrong Grim are at the beginning, but otherwise it's like the bad guys, then the good guys. [02:16:15] Speaker C: Okay, give me just a second. Scrat is going to. [02:16:23] Speaker B: And you are still on the broom, if that matters to you. Oh, Greta. Matter of perspective. You just saw that happen. To tell. You just saw that happen. And so you are aware that you are also within 10ft of the dragon, and you saw that it can reach out to 10ft. So you're aware that you're in melee range with it. I mean, I'm not saying you shouldn't leave. That's just. Maybe you should. That's just an observation I'm. I'm giving you. [02:16:50] Speaker A: So did use its reaction just. Justin. [02:16:53] Speaker B: Well, that's true. That's true. Very good point. [02:16:57] Speaker C: Okay, [02:17:00] Speaker A: I [02:17:03] Speaker C: would like to cast. I'm going to cast Master Wounds at the. This level. Wait, no, I'm gonna cast. I'm gonna cast it at the sixth level because it's already a fifth level [02:17:24] Speaker E: spell, [02:17:30] Speaker C: And I'm gonna. I can choose up to. So that's 4d8 plus. [02:17:46] Speaker E: Sorry, [02:17:51] Speaker B: Hold on. Okay, I know you're not high up off the ground, but I'm gonna go ahead and put you on the flying setup just so that we know you are flying. Do you want to just say you're five feet off the ground, or do you want to be 10? Or how do you want this to be? [02:18:07] Speaker C: Five foot works for now. [02:18:08] Speaker B: Okay, you're five foot off the ground. So first of all, how far away are you? Okay, give me one second before you start rolling numbers. What's the range? [02:18:27] Speaker C: It's 60ft. It's a 30 foot feet. [02:18:29] Speaker A: Yep. [02:18:31] Speaker B: So as you. Well, that's not what I was asking the range for. As you focus and you begin conjuring your spell from across the space, you just hear a voice creep in your ear and say, no, no, don't tarry your trip to the grave. And you watch as Shistha raises her hands and they flare with energy. She's going to cast. Counterspell. Okay, so now she's not aware at what level you're going to cast this. So she has to roll. Daniel, it's 10 plus. It's DC16 since she's casting at six level, right? [02:19:15] Speaker A: Yes, it's the level six. Yeah, yeah. [02:19:18] Speaker B: And she's only adding her intelligence modifier. [02:19:21] Speaker A: Correct. [02:19:21] Speaker B: Nothing else. [02:19:24] Speaker A: Correct the modifier. [02:19:26] Speaker B: Okay. I hate being the bad guy. She gets a 20. So, Greta, as you begin sewing together your mass cure wounds, whispers her threat, and she reaches out a hand and she just squeezes it. And as you do, all the glyphs around you flare with light, and your spell just sucked away and. And her reaction is expelled. But your sixth level spell fails. Okay, what else do you do with your turn? [02:20:00] Speaker C: I. Give me just a second. [02:20:12] Speaker B: I hate playing the bad guy. [02:20:15] Speaker C: So I'm within 60ft of her. No, she's far away. [02:20:18] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. [02:20:18] Speaker D: Am. [02:20:19] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, well, actually, hold on, hold on. Let me check. I checked. I checked. But let me double check, because if I'm wrong to be a good thing to check. So let's see. I mean, hey, this is the thing to ask your DM to check. Yeah. Okay. Super. Super. Definitely. [02:20:36] Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna. I am going to. Fly on. I don't want to provoke question. The dragon has already. [02:20:56] Speaker B: It's already used its reaction so you wouldn't provoke an opportunity attack. [02:20:59] Speaker C: Okay, I didn't know that opportunity attacks were a reaction. [02:21:02] Speaker B: They are reaction. Also, one. One attack would be bad, but being right in front of it is much worse. [02:21:11] Speaker D: Right, Right. [02:21:13] Speaker C: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna. I have 40ft of movement, so I would like to go up five feet. What's the. What's the amount of. When do I start taking damage if I fall? [02:21:34] Speaker B: I mean, every 10ft is a D6 of damage. [02:21:37] Speaker C: Great. Okay, so I'm gonna stay. [02:21:39] Speaker B: Moving away from enemy is valuable. [02:21:41] Speaker C: What? I know. Sorry. It was heavy. [02:21:44] Speaker B: No, it's. [02:21:44] Speaker C: Hey, hey. [02:21:45] Speaker B: This is stressful. I'm taking none of this personally. I feel you. [02:21:48] Speaker C: I'm trying to decide how far up to go, but I'm gonna stay at 10ft, and then I want to use the rest of my movement to go backwards. Actually, where's Craig? Craig is that blue circle. [02:22:00] Speaker A: Yes. [02:22:00] Speaker C: Okay, wait, Craig is. Okay. Okay, Craig, I'm gonna. I want to be right below the one who circled in the. In the blue condition ring. [02:22:19] Speaker B: Okay, you want to be, like, above them or right past? [02:22:22] Speaker C: Yeah, I want to be right behind them on the map, but I'll be 10ft above them. Okay, so I'm out of range of Craig. [02:22:33] Speaker B: No, you are technically still exactly within 10ft of him. And so you're just hovering 10ft up behind Roe. And the undead dragon, like, moves towards you, but you're too quick. It's already expended its reaction. It cannot get you. [02:22:47] Speaker C: Okay, that is my turn. [02:22:50] Speaker B: Okay, Craig is up. RO is on deck. [02:22:56] Speaker E: This is so stressful. [02:22:58] Speaker C: Holy cow. [02:22:59] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:23:00] Speaker B: Yep, yep. I've lost my appetite. I'm no longer hungry. [02:23:06] Speaker E: Logistically, I could do a ranged attack and a melee attack just to put the two separate attacks. [02:23:12] Speaker B: Yes, yes, you are able to do that. [02:23:16] Speaker C: That's cool. [02:23:19] Speaker E: I think I'm going to roll to attack. [02:23:25] Speaker A: Wrong. [02:23:26] Speaker E: Grimm's Bad Boy and the dragon. [02:23:30] Speaker B: Yes. Which, to be clear, that is actually how he's listed in my notes is wrong. Grimm's Bad Boy. That's how I have his name recorded. So you're getting up in his melee. Ranger, you're going to use use the ranged attack on him. [02:23:44] Speaker E: I'm using ranged on Longrum's bad boy, but I'm using melee on the dragon. [02:23:50] Speaker B: Understood. Understood. [02:23:51] Speaker C: Cool. [02:23:53] Speaker B: So roll for the ranged on the bone claw. [02:23:57] Speaker E: This is gonna be. I'm gonna be completely honest. This is gonna be a little hard, which I don't feel good, and my brain is not gonna. [02:24:04] Speaker B: I got your back, dude. Same team. I mean, I'm the bad guy right now, but same team. [02:24:10] Speaker E: Okay. [02:24:13] Speaker C: Just. [02:24:13] Speaker B: That's not on your side, but Zach is. [02:24:15] Speaker E: I feel like this has been making my dice a lot more. Nope, that didn't help. Okay, that would be. No, wait. [02:24:32] Speaker B: That would be a 26x26 will hit. Go ahead and roll for damage. [02:24:38] Speaker E: 29. 26 to the 29. [02:24:41] Speaker A: Okay. [02:24:42] Speaker E: That's for ranged and melee. [02:24:47] Speaker B: Oh, you got a 26 and a 29 to hit, respectively. [02:24:50] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:24:51] Speaker B: Okay. Now you will need to move five feet closer to the dragon to hit it, but that is just as. It's so easy, it's not a problem at all. So you can do your ranged and then step into the dragon and hit him. That's no problem. [02:25:05] Speaker E: I'm going. Okay, hold on. Do you need my radiant separate. [02:25:14] Speaker B: No, no. You can give it to me all together. [02:25:17] Speaker E: Okay. [02:25:19] Speaker B: Yeah, that was. That was that one. Dude. Every enemy is not going to be vulnerable to Radiant. That would be. [02:25:24] Speaker E: I was hoping, but that's okay. Yeah. [02:25:27] Speaker D: And [02:25:30] Speaker E: shoot. [02:25:33] Speaker B: Go and give me that damage for the bunker. [02:25:39] Speaker E: Okay. Hold on. I have to do a bunch of math. [02:25:52] Speaker B: We need to get a. A paladin shirt for Micah that says I have to do a bunch of math. It's just got D6s all over it. Or D8. I suppose D8 would be more likely. Yeah, except that her sword D6 is deep. [02:26:21] Speaker D: Who is right in front of the dragon there? [02:26:24] Speaker E: Craig. Okay, I'm gonna do. For my melee against the dragon, I'm gonna do level four Divine Smite. [02:26:37] Speaker B: We're doing it all at once. Understood. [02:26:39] Speaker E: Wait. [02:26:40] Speaker B: You may. [02:26:42] Speaker D: Are you in within? If you in within 15ft, which I cannot tow, you get the 3D4, boss. [02:26:51] Speaker B: No, he's 30ft away from boss. [02:26:53] Speaker D: Okay, I can't see you guys. Oh, that's not boss. Okay, that's wrong. Sorry. [02:27:00] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:27:02] Speaker B: Keep going with your pro with your process, Micah. I'll reverse engineer and keep up. It's all good. Just do things your way. [02:27:08] Speaker E: Okay. Okay. [02:27:17] Speaker B: Man, this music, [02:27:26] Speaker A: It is undead. So she get an extra D8 for the. [02:27:30] Speaker E: I. I did, right? Yeah, I did. [02:27:34] Speaker A: Hell yeah. [02:27:34] Speaker B: Yeah. And an extra D6 from her sword. [02:27:39] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:27:39] Speaker B: Her Divine Smite does an extra D8, and her sword does an extra D6. Craig really is made to fight undead. This is his. His ideal fight. I mean, not this one. [02:28:02] Speaker E: Okay. For one attack, 58 damage to the. To the dragon. [02:28:15] Speaker B: Okay, 58 damage is a lot. [02:28:18] Speaker E: I'm also going to add from my pool, from cosmic instrument, the possibility adding. I can add plus three to success. I'm going to add another plus. That's plus three to the dragon. Yeah. [02:28:41] Speaker B: Okay, I've already got it. [02:28:42] Speaker A: 61. [02:28:43] Speaker B: I already got it. [02:28:45] Speaker E: I still have to roll range. Give me one second. [02:28:48] Speaker B: Okay. Holy crap. Well, this shouldn't. This should just. This should be pretty simple. This should just be your 66/6 +2D8. That should be it. 66 +6 +2D8. As Micah is doing furious maths, just for a little description, Craig steps in close to the dragon and. And at it. And all this brilliant light flares off of Star splinter as he carves into it. And as the blade streams outward with light, it cuts away at some of the dark flesh. And it's like the light from the blade actually burns the dragon. He is slicing into its flesh and cutting and cracking bone. But as he chops away at the leg with the sword, his heavy full plate reflecting the red ambient light all around him, it also burns into some of the tissue. And the dragon seems to feel. I mean, I'm just describing, seems to feel a lot of extra pain from the radiant light. And it looks. It looks injured. That did some damage to it. It's like favoring one leg now. That looks like it hurt it. [02:30:05] Speaker E: Co. [02:30:10] Speaker B: He steps to the side and aims Star Splinter at the boneclaw. As he commands it, it shatters into all its fragments and flies outward at him. [02:30:21] Speaker E: Great. [02:30:25] Speaker B: What'd you get on the bone claw? [02:30:28] Speaker E: I got a 43 damage. [02:30:31] Speaker B: 43 damage? Well, just as a heads up, Micah, that means that you again did more than 100 damage in one turn, which is crazy. Also on the bone claw. How do you want to do this? [02:30:41] Speaker E: Oh, heck yeah. Cool. I'm. [02:30:45] Speaker B: I am also here. You guys don't have to restrain it if you don't want to. [02:30:50] Speaker E: I'm going to take the star splinter and I'm going to do the ranged attack first on the. The bone guy. And I'm doing it kind of like, I don't know, almost like charging it up. Like you can see the light grows stronger, stronger as I'm like pulling it back and I fling it out. [02:31:13] Speaker B: That's sick. [02:31:14] Speaker E: And the shards consume it, almost like circling its body and sick. [02:31:22] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:31:23] Speaker E: And then it comes back to me just for a second second. And all of the momentum from the effect and the impact and everything like that. Those immediately I swing it towards. [02:31:39] Speaker B: That's awesome. As the storm of fragments tear the bone claw apart, scattering all the bones to the ground, the blood where it was standing and the smoke away and the fragments come back together. And you slash out at the dragon as described. And the bone claw has been destroyed. And the dragon looks significantly wounded. That was a phenomenal turn, Craig. Anything else? I assume not, but I'm just checking [02:32:10] Speaker E: since it's already used its reaction. Can I like. Yeah, back to the wave front. [02:32:18] Speaker B: Uh huh, you can. [02:32:19] Speaker E: Okay, I'm gonna move. I'm gonna use my moment, like my speed to like try to get out of rage closer to my friends. [02:32:28] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:32:29] Speaker B: Okay. And you step confidently backward as the dragon like staggers from the wound to its leg, taking advantage of its wounded moment. At the end of your turn, Shista is going to use legendary actions. What will she do? [02:32:50] Speaker D: How many does he have? [02:32:52] Speaker B: A bunch. [02:32:56] Speaker A: More than one? [02:32:58] Speaker D: Yeah. How many has she used already? Just trying to keep track and I was getting confused. Oh, okay. [02:33:05] Speaker B: Because the Master of Cantrips is zero. [02:33:07] Speaker D: Oh, that's right, you said that. [02:33:09] Speaker B: Ew, Dinky. She's gonna use Master of Cantrips again. [02:33:15] Speaker D: This lady. [02:33:16] Speaker B: This time she'll fire at Boz. What's his ac. [02:33:25] Speaker D: Don't worry about it now. [02:33:26] Speaker B: Don't worry about it. Yeah, I got a net 20. [02:33:30] Speaker D: Oh crap on it. Big old cracker. [02:33:35] Speaker B: You know, guys is in Oz within [02:33:38] Speaker A: 30ft of me or no, let's hopefully. [02:33:41] Speaker B: Right? Maybe, maybe, maybe, hopefully. [02:33:44] Speaker D: Wait, I do have some. He does have some resistances. No, not to this from you. [02:33:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:33:52] Speaker B: Also, have you already used your reaction to reduce damage? This? [02:33:56] Speaker A: No, not this turn. I did it before. Yeah. [02:33:58] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. You're right. [02:34:00] Speaker A: For right. [02:34:03] Speaker B: Okay, okay, okay, okay. We're fine. Everything's fine. [02:34:05] Speaker A: It's fine. [02:34:06] Speaker B: I'm fine. In hindsight, me rolling so bad at the beginning of the campaign felt so good. But kind of wish I'd saved some of that mojo for now. Cuz I've been rolling a lot better at the end of the campaign. Okay. He's not resistant to force or he is. He's resistant to force damage because of his BR shielding. Oh, my goodness. That's true. Okay, I'm gonna roll these separately. That made me so happy. Oh, and I didn't roll that good. [02:34:37] Speaker D: Immune to magic missile if you were using that. [02:34:41] Speaker B: Nice. Just throwing it out. Phenomenal. And also, I rolled pretty low on my numbers. So this is actually, all things considered, pretty good scenario. [02:34:53] Speaker D: Is there any psychic damage? [02:34:55] Speaker B: This is going to be. No. I would specify 8, 10, 16. So that is going to be 32 points of necrotic damage. Okay, 32. Sorry about that. Then it was. Okay, that's two. Let me roll again. [02:35:18] Speaker C: Ah. [02:35:18] Speaker B: Okay, so hold on, hold on. There's a lot. Okay. Seven, nine. So that goes to 18. But he's resistant. So nine points of force damage. [02:35:26] Speaker D: Okay. Amazing. [02:35:28] Speaker B: So it's such a shame that boss that Landon doesn't get to see that item. [02:35:31] Speaker D: I know it works. [02:35:33] Speaker B: But that's fine. But it works. Okay. Phenomenal. That was her legendary action for that turn. Now it's Rose turn. Then after that, the death whites are up. [02:35:43] Speaker D: Just a little fun fact. Boz is bloody with 29 healing hit points. Yeah. But it's okay. [02:35:54] Speaker B: We got so much for never taking damage. [02:35:57] Speaker D: Okay, okay, Row. I have. Okay. I. So okay. Death W. And then it'll be back to Boz. Right. Row is going to. Okay. I was going to do one thing, but I'm switching it up. So Ro. Because of what's happening. So I'm Rose going to cast. Hold on. I'm looking for the range. [02:36:30] Speaker E: On it. [02:36:31] Speaker B: Ah, too many sheets. [02:36:34] Speaker D: Okay. Are all of my allies within 60ft of me? [02:36:42] Speaker B: Yes, all of them. [02:36:43] Speaker D: Cool, cool, cool. [02:36:45] Speaker B: Oh, shoot. Okay. [02:36:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:36:48] Speaker B: Counting some things. [02:36:51] Speaker D: What? No, I'm worried about Abby. Okay. I'm gonna cast Cry the old song at. At. I'm just gonna cast Cry the old school long. I didn't need to say at is what I'm going to do right now. Hopefully it'll work. [02:37:13] Speaker B: I don't know if any of your enemies aren't within 60ft. [02:37:17] Speaker D: Yeah, but are are my allies within 60ft of me too, okay. [02:37:23] Speaker B: Oh, okay. What? There is one Bone Claw who is not within 60ft. [02:37:27] Speaker D: But everybody else can just chill right now, man. [02:37:33] Speaker B: Honestly, Jackie, that's pretty tactically brilliant. Because Shista's already used her counter spell. She can't use it. [02:37:41] Speaker D: That was my thought. And that's the beauty of being late in initiative. [02:37:46] Speaker B: There's an upside. Especially being late in Initiative as a caster can be really great. Especially as a support. Caster support. So this is brilliant. She can't use her counterspell. The dragon's already moved right up to you. All of your allies are still in range, and only one enemy is not in range. This is excellent. [02:38:04] Speaker D: So enemy creatures are gonna make a wisdom saving throw. [02:38:07] Speaker B: Okay. [02:38:08] Speaker D: D.C. d.C. 18. [02:38:12] Speaker B: White's got a natural one. [02:38:15] Speaker D: Huzzah. [02:38:16] Speaker B: Bone Claw failed. [02:38:17] Speaker C: Huzzah. [02:38:21] Speaker B: The dragon fails. So it is going to use a legendary resistance. Isn't it crazy that Yalls first dragon you've ever fought is an undead one? What's that about? Ooh. Okay, so max damage going on here. You said it was DC18. [02:38:42] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:38:44] Speaker E: Okay. [02:38:44] Speaker B: Oh, well, okay. Just. They got a 24, but they still [02:38:51] Speaker D: take half, I believe. [02:38:52] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, they're still gonna take damage. [02:38:53] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, I rolled some. A little bit of good damage. Okay. Okay. So 78 psychic damage. So that's gonna be phenomenal. [02:39:05] Speaker E: Wow. [02:39:12] Speaker B: And just as a heads. Oh, never mind. I was about to start saying who's up next to initiative? [02:39:16] Speaker D: Okay, that's. That is 40 points of psychic damage. [02:39:20] Speaker B: 40 points of psychic. [02:39:22] Speaker D: Yeah, 40 points. [02:39:26] Speaker B: Okay, let me do a lot of math. [02:39:28] Speaker D: Okay, well. And I gotta. I gotta get some temporary hit points. So I'll roll that as you're. Yeah, your math. [02:39:37] Speaker B: Because Jackie, that was huge, dude. [02:39:41] Speaker D: Sick. Okay? And then my allies, every ally around me is going to gain back or not gain back, but are gonna get 13 temporary hit points for the next hour. And you're immune to being frightened and charmed and resistant to psychic damage. [02:40:09] Speaker B: Hey, that's good here. That's good here. You all. All just gained resistance to psychic damage [02:40:17] Speaker D: and 13 temporary hit points or 13. [02:40:19] Speaker B: Sorry, sorry, sorry. 13, [02:40:23] Speaker D: man. [02:40:23] Speaker B: Jackie. Wow. That was a good move, dude. [02:40:28] Speaker D: Thank you. I have so much dice. I've never had this much dice out. I have to tell you. [02:40:35] Speaker B: This is what it feels like to be a dm. [02:40:39] Speaker D: So. [02:40:40] Speaker B: Which you've done before. Sorry. [02:40:42] Speaker D: No, that's fine. You don't have to. Okay. As she did that, like, just to give it some flavoring. [02:40:49] Speaker B: All of. [02:40:50] Speaker D: All of the purple energy there, it's like. It, like. Like, charges up like lightning and strikes out on the enemies, and all the gold, like, sparkles and, like, refracts in the. In, like, the very dim light there is and, like, wraps around all of the allies. [02:41:09] Speaker B: Jackie, that was awesome. That was awesome. [02:41:13] Speaker D: And then bonus action. [02:41:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bonus action. [02:41:19] Speaker D: I'm going to bonus, bonus action. Bardic and security on Drago Boy. [02:41:28] Speaker B: Oh, I was getting out my dive for Bardic inspiration, but it's bardic. That's awesome. What saving throw is that for me again? [02:41:34] Speaker E: It is. [02:41:34] Speaker D: I'm looking. I believe it's a charisma saving throw. [02:41:37] Speaker B: Jackie, I really can't stress enough. You have become a tour de force at the center of the campaign. I know you came on and you were like, I don't know, D and D. I always feel like the player who doesn't know what's going on. Dude, you have mastered this character. [02:41:50] Speaker D: Thank you. Yeah. Charisma saving throw. [02:41:54] Speaker B: It's very charismatic. It got a 20. [02:41:58] Speaker D: Seriously? [02:41:59] Speaker E: Yeah. [02:41:59] Speaker D: Crap. [02:42:00] Speaker B: It's very charismatic. It got a 20. Does it have any effect? [02:42:03] Speaker D: If it succeeds upon a failure, the creature suffers falling condition. It does. It doesn't. It must have just. I don't think so. I think it just. [02:42:13] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [02:42:14] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:42:14] Speaker B: It's a safer side. Understand? So, Ro, describe. Well, okay, you did describe it to me, but go a little more if you want to. To describe what it looks like as you. As your. As the cry of the old song echoes around this chamber of death where you and your allies stand against the Queen of the Damned as you significantly harm Shista. She wretches in pain, and you watch [02:42:44] Speaker D: as she's not gonna like it. [02:42:46] Speaker B: As you cast outward with your spell this deep magic, this golden fire. You watch as all of the energy within her shakes and distorts like an air current blowing across a plume of smoke, like the red energy in her shakes. And she. She convulses in pain and inhalates sharply, as if the Deep Magic specifically is harming her. The dragon shakes its head, and it looks decayed. It looks decayed. It is bloodied, which is phenomenal. As you watch as strips of flesh are beginning to fall off of it and bones are starting to hang away from its body as it's falling apart. You also destroy this wight, [02:43:39] Speaker A: and both [02:43:39] Speaker B: of the other wights are seriously damaged as the song echoes across them. The one that was in front of Boz just explodes. And then the other two whites, you watch as they both crumble to their knees and struggle back up to their feet, cracking all across their edifice and face. And then the other bone claw over here in the triangular space. You watch as much of the smoke falls away from it for a second, and it actually falls prone on the ground, catching itself with its hands and, like, spatters before floating back upward. You have almost eliminated three enemies in one turn, and you have bloodied two others, and you significantly hurt Shizta, all while healing your allies. That was an incredible turn, Jack. [02:44:24] Speaker D: Hell, yeah. [02:44:25] Speaker B: Is there anything you want to add on to that casting? You're like, no, I stand by what I said. [02:44:28] Speaker D: No, I think just, like, as that purple goes to the enemies and the gold goes to my allies, I think, like, I. I'm playing mostly on. On Song Splitter with all of this, and it's just like this very, like, metal sound sound. But it's also because I did cry the old song as I, like, scream out. And it does it like, almost like. Like a metal scream, right? Like, yeah, like this guttural growl, but with that, it echoes out in, like, the deep speech. And so, like, it's. It's like, like haunting almost, because it's rough all. [02:45:09] Speaker B: As you shock out the court on Song Splitter and all of the. The golden light wraps up around your allies, and the purple veins of power strike out at the others. Have I sent you Antimatter by Silent Planet or no? [02:45:21] Speaker D: Yes, and I love that song on two playlists of mine. [02:45:24] Speaker B: So that, like, it's like, that comes out, and as it does, you scream, and it's like, like, like screams out with it. And the. The. The deep magic behind it. It's like, as you play, it's like a choir of cellos from underneath can also be heard. Like. And behind your scream, echoed in the hundred voices is, like, choral voices just. And it echoes up the tower. And as it does, you watch. It's like the whole tower trembles for a moment, shaken by the power. That's a phenomenal turn Row. I. I want to say. Say that mice. That might be one of the most important turns in combat Rose ever had. That was awesome. Daniel. On the less fun side, can you help remind me, can a creature with legendary actions use legendary actions on any turn, not their own, or only on the turn of enemies? [02:46:15] Speaker A: Only after the turn of an enemy. [02:46:18] Speaker B: Okay. That's unfortunate. [02:46:20] Speaker A: Like, it's technically in between two turns. [02:46:23] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, I. I got you. Okay, so we're gonna go ahead and do this now. First of all, the dragon can't use any of its legendary actions because nobody stayed in melee with it. So that's really awesome. But Shiztha is finally going to spend some pointed legendary actions. [02:46:50] Speaker A: You're still within 30ft of in row, right? [02:46:54] Speaker D: I think so, yeah. [02:46:55] Speaker B: She's the closest to you currently. Well, no, Craig, but second closest. She is going to use all three of her legendary actions at once, and she is going to cast eternal edict. Well, not a spell. She's going to use eternal edict. So as she shudders and the song plays around the tower, she raises her head and her eyes flare with light. And you hear her just go. And she's going to raise her hands upward. Her hands will flare with energy and all the floor will. And you watch as Shiztha raises a number of undead within BlackFang whose total CR equals her spell. Save DC. [02:47:42] Speaker D: Ooh, gross. [02:47:43] Speaker C: Awful. [02:47:44] Speaker E: Horrible. Stupid. [02:47:45] Speaker B: She is going to raise back up the slain bone claw and the sling death. [02:47:52] Speaker D: Who does she think she is? [02:47:59] Speaker A: Oh, that's good. [02:48:01] Speaker B: 20. And so the two reconstitute next to each other. However, as you all watch them raise back up, you see that they still have a lot of their cracks and fractures. It looks like they came back cracked. Like they can't come back with full hit points. Okay, so I need to do some quick maths. Okay. All right, now we go to the whites and. Oh, my goodness, guys, sorry. Thank you for your patience. This is the most complex, complicated combat. Holy crap. There's so many pieces to this. Okay, okay, Just to one, I believe, Daniel. I believe it takes you to one hit point when you would go below. But somebody checked. [02:48:49] Speaker D: Yeah, it does. I have it pulled up. [02:48:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:48:53] Speaker B: No sooner it is the death white's turn. However, to be clear, Jackie, you still did a ton of damage to it. And it came back with half. And now it has to start at the other end of the map, which was a meaningful turn. So it's the death wights. They have 35ft of movement because they're zippy little boys. So this one is going to 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. Oh, that's unfortunate. Just enough to get to Boz. And then this one's going to 5, 10, 15, 20, 24 to. Wrong grim. So with an unnerving speed, they just on their backward facing knees, they sprint towards you with their. Their. Their axes are like. It's like the hilts are obsidian and the blades are just shorn bone like shoulder blades from a large creature. We are going to take two marrow edge attacks on Boz. [02:49:49] Speaker D: What does that mean? It's. [02:49:51] Speaker B: It's axis called Marrow edge. Oh, I rolled really high. [02:49:53] Speaker D: Wait, it's melee. [02:49:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:49:56] Speaker D: Can I do spiny shield as a reaction? [02:49:58] Speaker B: You can. Well, hold on. Let me give you rolls to hit first.24 on the first one, but the second one's an 18. Does that hit? [02:50:05] Speaker D: He has an 18. [02:50:06] Speaker B: That is AC, but you can use spiny shield. [02:50:09] Speaker D: Okay, I'm going to use spiny shield. [02:50:11] Speaker B: Okay. Let me roll some damage. He's not responsible. Resistant to necrotic, right? No. Okay, so Boz is going to take. And I'll give you the total and then we can reduce from it. Okay. [02:50:28] Speaker D: Okay. [02:50:28] Speaker B: He's gonna take nine plus four is 13 plus. Daniel, did you give me my dice tower? [02:50:41] Speaker A: I don't remember. [02:50:42] Speaker B: No, that was my. That's five. Seven. Okay. [02:50:45] Speaker A: I don't think I did. [02:50:46] Speaker B: 21 points. 21 points of slashing and necrotic damage. [02:50:49] Speaker D: He's going to. [02:50:52] Speaker B: Oh, thank. [02:50:53] Speaker D: Well, I rolled. He's going to. What am I trying to say? I'm reducing it by seven. I'm so sorry. [02:51:05] Speaker B: Excellent. So that's 14. [02:51:06] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:51:07] Speaker B: And then seven dealt back to him. [02:51:08] Speaker D: Yeah. [02:51:10] Speaker B: Okay. Well, meaningfully, as the white strikes out against Boz, he holds up Druid's defense and like steps quickly out of the way. And the shield stabs its roots outward at it. It stabs back into the creature, which still manages to cut him. And though he's heavily bleeding, the creature is now very heavily cracked because it came back with half hit points, so it's still significantly damaged. Wrong. Grim. The two attacks on you. Oh, recklessly. Thank you. What's your AC again? [02:51:48] Speaker A: 22. [02:51:49] Speaker B: I imagine it's 22 with the. With the first attack from the first white. So that does not hit. And then with the second one, my highest attack was a 12. So the first. First one doesn't hit you at all. [02:52:00] Speaker A: Oh, good job. [02:52:02] Speaker B: And then the second one will hit with a 20. 22, just exactly. But then its second attack won't hit at all. So wrong them. You only take one attack. So before I roll damage, go ahead and describe what it looks like to me. As you are. As you are rebuffing these attacks as they can't strike out against you. [02:52:22] Speaker A: I think like, again, like the 300 warriors of the movie. 300 from long ago. I think it's just this huge shield and he's just turning his way over with his trident above his head. And he's just, like, hitting as many of the attacks away as possible. And it's like, you know, this scintillating shield is, like, huge. And when it. When it gets hit, I feel like gives off a bit of sparks and stuff like that. And I just. [02:52:50] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. [02:52:51] Speaker A: I missed one that hits me in the. The side. [02:52:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Wrong Grimm. As you. As you batter the strikes away with your shield, it sparks with the magical energies that we said that comes off of that flail snail shield. And only one nicks you in the side. And not for a lot. You're going to take. It's five points of slashing total. So reduced to two, and then five points of necrotic. So seven damage total. That was pretty great. I'm resistant to necrotic, baby. [02:53:17] Speaker E: It's four. [02:53:19] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. [02:53:19] Speaker C: That's right. [02:53:20] Speaker B: You take four points of damage. Dang. That's excellent. That's great. Good stuff, guys. Okay. Unfortunately, now it's the bone claws. First of all, the entire place is dim light, so all three of them can use Shadow Jump. So one is going to, like that it just. From where it is, smoke just swallows it and it disappears. Okay. Yeah. And then it's going to appear on the other side of Boz. Actually, no, it's not going to do that. Hold on. No, actually, never mind. I'm not going to do that at all. Instead, it does not do Shadow Jump. It just crawls along the. Like, it does this horrible thing. It doesn't float. It has no legs, but it lowers its stealth down, and it pulls itself really quickly across the ground with it with its arms, just. And as it skitters up behind Boz, it raises up over him because, actually, the Shadow Jump is in action, and it has 40ft of movement, so it's not going to bother. But the other two are going to Shadow Jump, so this one's going to appear behind Tello, and this one's going to appear next to Roe. Now, those are both actions, and it doesn't have any bonus actions, and enemies have not moved into their reach. They moved into the enemies, and it couldn't have gotten there without the movement. So actually, that's everything those two bone claws can do. But they're holding. Goal is to. Abby, you're making me want frozen Eggos so bad. She shrugged. Abby, I want you to. [02:55:33] Speaker E: I want you to. [02:55:34] Speaker B: I want you to hear this from me today as you're like, oh, Zach, I'm so sorry. I'm no, like, give it to me, dude. I'M the bad guy. I'm wearing the Boss shirt. Hit me. Hit me with it. Hit me with it. [02:55:43] Speaker C: I would share my waffles if I could. I'm sharing through screen with you because [02:55:47] Speaker B: you're very sweet and you love us all very much. But one behind Boss only used its movement, so it is is going to make two piercing claw attacks. And it does have advantage because it's. Wait. [02:55:54] Speaker E: At who? [02:55:56] Speaker D: At Boss. Wait, I have a question. [02:55:59] Speaker E: Yep. [02:55:59] Speaker D: I have a question about spiny shield. It says it also provides a plus 2 bonus to AC and you take it as half cover. So does that do anything? [02:56:09] Speaker B: I mean, if it was a ranged attack, it would. He. He has. He has an AC of 20 right now. But my roles to hit were 26 and 25. [02:56:17] Speaker E: So boom. [02:56:19] Speaker B: That's going to hit with two. So somebody say, oh, SpaghettiO. [02:56:24] Speaker D: SpaghettiO. [02:56:25] Speaker A: Uhoh. [02:56:28] Speaker D: And I already is my [02:56:33] Speaker B: four. That's 19 piercing from the first attack [02:56:35] Speaker D: and just from the first. [02:56:43] Speaker B: Oh, guys. [02:56:43] Speaker D: Oh, God. [02:56:44] Speaker B: 24 from the second one. So that is a total. [02:56:49] Speaker C: Oh, no. [02:56:53] Speaker D: Do I need to calculate that fully or. Yeah. [02:57:04] Speaker B: Okay. Where the Death Knight skitters up behind Boz. He goes to spin around, raising his shield and reading a spell in his hand. Excuse me. Where the Boneclaw skitter's up. The Death Wight reaches out and just grab. Protracts his arms backward with its own blades. It hooks onto his shield and pulls his arms backward. And as his arms are pinned backward and his chest is exposed, he goes to move before the Bone Claw reaches up its hands and just stabs them into Boz. And as it rips its claws out, his blood sprays all over the ground and he flies. Falls down, not moving. That is the end of all of their turns. We now enter our second round of combat. Hey. [02:57:46] Speaker D: With Boz. [02:57:49] Speaker B: But before we do any of that, I need someone to roll me a D4. Oh, this feels. I got nish. Okay. Okay. Honestly, from this horrible, horrible list, Abby, as good as Yakota rolled? In my opinion, that's about as good as it gets. Oh, what to do? What's do? What's do? So I don't have to use this feature, but I can. Okay, so you rolled oblation of or oblation of the thrall Shista may choose from to derive necrotic power un from undead within Black Fang, destroying as many of her thrall as she chooses and regaining hit points equal to 20 plus double their challenge rating. So she could do this to get herself back up to full. But they're also Very strategically placed at the moment, so it's not necessarily in her advantage. So here's what she's going to do. Sha raises up an arm and pull points a long skeletal finger at the death wight which was raised on the other side of Boz. She's going to point at it and she's just going to whisper to me. And it just falls down into a pile of bones and calcified tissues. So it's going to be cr. Okay, so she's going to regain 28 hit points. Guys. What's 26? 28. 54. Yes, four. Okay, so as the white falls apart, some of the healing like you watch as the energy like is pulled away from it by the glyphs nearby and then flows up into her from where she is and she just regains some power of the light inside of her beating inside of her rib cage. She's not gonna destroy any others though, because they're all placed very favorably for her right now. So honestly Abby, that's about as good as that could have gone. That was a really good roll. It's Boz's turn. So I need a death saving throw. [03:00:05] Speaker C: Yeah. That's a nine. [03:00:13] Speaker B: Nine. That is one failure for boss. [03:00:18] Speaker A: Okay. [03:00:21] Speaker B: Okay. Next initiative. Suc. Okay, sorry guys. Intense for me too. First of all, she's going to move slightly. She's going to go. She's going to float around so that she gives herself a Visual Vantage Then, oh, 150ft. Wow. Okay, so actually I don't remember where she was. I'll leave her. [03:01:32] Speaker D: What's the, the distance from one wall to the other of this space? Just out of curiosity. It's okay. Yeah. Just curious. [03:01:46] Speaker B: 55, 60. 65, 70. 75, 80. Like about like 85.5ish feet across. [03:01:53] Speaker D: Okay. [03:01:55] Speaker B: Also, weirdly hardest part about making this map was making the big circle. I have no circular object in my house that large. It was very difficult to make. So she's going to cast at the seventh level. She's going to cast Circle of Death. No, no, she's here to kill you. She's gonna cast her to the eighth level. So she points to you all and in a horribly familiar moment, a spell Madame Miscore used against you all multiple times. She points out. And there's just this, this horrible like of power from near Yalls position. And then all this energy bursts out from a point. And this is a 60 foot radius sphere. So it's is everyone and it's all necrotic damage which all the undead are immune to. [03:02:49] Speaker A: Is this An AOE effect. [03:02:51] Speaker B: This is. Daniel, this is so an AOE effect. It's an aoe. [03:03:02] Speaker D: I don't even know what he said. It cut out. He was exciting. [03:03:06] Speaker B: It's going to be 10d6 necrotic damage. [03:03:08] Speaker C: Is this a dexterity set save? [03:03:11] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. So sorry. Constitution saving throw. [03:03:15] Speaker C: So I can't use evasion? [03:03:17] Speaker B: No. Okay, but wrong. And Row and Greta are all in range of Craig's plus three. Okay, yeah, I'll get to that. Remind me in a moment. [03:03:35] Speaker A: Is grand within 30ft? [03:03:37] Speaker B: She is. [03:03:41] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. [03:03:43] Speaker B: Very average roll. [03:03:44] Speaker A: Some reduce of damage. [03:03:46] Speaker B: 10, 30, 37. 37 points of necrotic damage. The DC on this is DC 22. [03:04:02] Speaker C: Yeah, you said how much damage? [03:04:05] Speaker B: 37. DC 22. Craig, you got a 22. You're gonna take half damage. [03:04:12] Speaker E: So you said 36. Half of 36. [03:04:15] Speaker B: 37, half. But yeah, same thing. 18. 18. So if you saved 18. DC 22. That was a phenomenal roll. Micah, you guys are using the chat effectively. [03:04:28] Speaker C: Hello. Is down. [03:04:32] Speaker D: Ro got a 15. So she gets. You said 36. [03:04:37] Speaker B: 37. [03:04:38] Speaker D: 37. [03:04:41] Speaker C: Okay. Like negative 8 or negative. Six? Actually, [03:05:02] Speaker A: Ron Grimm got a 33 that [03:05:05] Speaker B: will, in fact, succeed. [03:05:11] Speaker A: And then I have reduction for Greta and reduction myself. Whenever you want that. [03:05:15] Speaker B: Okay, Greta, what did you get on your roll? Yes, it was four hours ago. It was exactly four hours ago, actually. [03:05:27] Speaker C: I got a 21. [03:05:29] Speaker B: Understood. As Tello falls and as Boz automatically fails, another death, save for taking damage while unconscious. And the party is harrowed. [03:05:45] Speaker D: Wait, do I need. Oh, I can't make a con save [03:05:47] Speaker B: when I'm just simply cackles heinously. I just. Ro, you're concentrating on a spot. [03:05:55] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, I am. So another con save or it just. [03:05:59] Speaker B: Okay, no, no, another concept. Well, DC18. Yeah. So you could do it. [03:06:05] Speaker C: Yeah, I got a. [03:06:05] Speaker E: Not one. [03:06:07] Speaker B: You fail for the. For the concave shle. [03:06:13] Speaker A: Well, I have three things that I do. First off, Greta takes 18 less damage because of the spirits. [03:06:22] Speaker D: Great. [03:06:23] Speaker C: Thank you, Daniel. [03:06:25] Speaker A: 18 damage to Shista. And then I do need the con save for whatever sh is. [03:06:31] Speaker B: She fails. [03:06:34] Speaker A: Okay, so she takes 15 more force damage as the shield radiates 15 points of damage from the other thing. And so if I succeeded, that goes to an 18. So 18 minus 15 is 33. And then you said it's necrotic, so it's one. [03:06:54] Speaker B: Yes. That's phenomenal. As the field of power bursts outward. Wrong. Spirits rush up around you, Greta, and literally, like, make like a sort of spiritual sphere around you, like with their own forms. And only some of the necrotic energy gets through and harms you. And then at the same time they again rush up against. Around Shista and Levy. The smallest orange spirit just places her palm on Sza's forehead like lunges backward and shakes in her brow like cracks slightly. She looks significantly injured. Not too much. Yes, Craig, you can do that? Yeah. You can use a charge of refraction to absorb damage. Excellent. Okay. She's the worst. Wrong. It's your turn. If there's. If there's another thing. There's no way for me. If this combat feels differently. Sorry, Go ahead. Go ahead, Durgal. [03:07:54] Speaker A: Sorry, I'm just seeing. Is there a way for me to get to shista then? 30ft of shista. [03:08:04] Speaker B: Let me maybe. Yes. So here's what you can do if you. You have enough movement to try and go around the death wise here. What's your strength again? 22. [03:08:25] Speaker A: I have a 22 strength. [03:08:28] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll let you. I'll let you make an athletics check to try and. Because you. You have the. It's not moving through them. You have the five feet in between. I'll let you make an athletics check to try and literally push past the death wights if you want. In which case you have enough movement to get in range to do the range attack with remnant. [03:08:49] Speaker A: Oh, cool. To do that. [03:08:51] Speaker B: Give me. Give me an athletics check. You are raging. [03:08:55] Speaker A: Do that. But I feel like. [03:08:57] Speaker B: Oh, sorry, sorry. You don't have to. [03:08:58] Speaker A: She's gonna be. [03:08:59] Speaker B: What would you rather do instead? I'm sorry. [03:09:02] Speaker A: Yes, I got. [03:09:03] Speaker B: What would you rather do instead? You don't have to. [03:09:07] Speaker A: No, no, no, no. I think it cut out some line. I did want to do it. I got a 29. [03:09:13] Speaker B: Sorry. Okay, well, I don't know why I'm rolling. They're incapable of beating that, so. [03:09:20] Speaker A: Oh, there's a possibility. You never know. [03:09:23] Speaker B: No, they're. They're mathematically incapable. Wrong. [03:09:26] Speaker A: Grim. [03:09:26] Speaker B: Let me know. I'm gonna roll some opportunity attacks because of the reaction, but let me know. Let me know what it looks like as you barrel past both of them. [03:09:36] Speaker A: Sure. They don't have advantage on me this time, just so you know, because. [03:09:39] Speaker B: No, they do not. [03:09:40] Speaker A: My new turn also. [03:09:41] Speaker B: I rolled a NAT one on one of the attacks and I got a 16 on the other. So let me rephrase this. Let me know what it looks like as you push past them and rebuff both of their attacks at the same time. [03:09:53] Speaker A: Hell yeah. So what he does is he kind of just Uses his shield like. Like a. Like a. A cannonball out of a cannon. He. He just breaks through the middle of them, if y' all are still hearing me. And he just, like, huddling around, just slowly making his way where he can get to Shista. And he's gonna throw a trident right into Shista's face and say, no, no, no. I am the shield here. And so that's awesome. [03:10:23] Speaker B: Well, I'm gonna. As you barrel forward, really, really embracing the linebacker power. You just burst past the death by two, bounce off your shield. What'd you get on your roll to hit? [03:10:34] Speaker A: I got a 33. [03:10:38] Speaker B: That'll do it. That just hit. [03:10:46] Speaker A: I think I'm gonna push myself. I'm gonna bring myself to Shista this time, if that's okay. So to not bring her with within the spells of people to make me get them other stuff. So then I'm gonna do that one again. [03:11:00] Speaker B: You can [03:11:04] Speaker A: another 33 mother trucker. [03:11:11] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Micah pulled up her sleeve, and now she's flexing. Oh, she's mewing at the camera. Gross. Micah, stop. [03:11:18] Speaker A: Do I need to stop? Separate my fire here [03:11:24] Speaker B: you do. [03:11:28] Speaker A: Can't ever just have. [03:11:29] Speaker B: Sorry, man. It's the Lich Queen. I'm sorry. She's got a lot of power. [03:11:33] Speaker A: No, it doesn't make sense. [03:11:35] Speaker B: No, no, no. This isn't just her being a Lich. This is her being the Lich Queen. She's resistant to a lot of different kinds of power. [03:11:43] Speaker A: So, okay, here we. Here is the normal damage, which is. Oh, I'm just gonna do this. [03:11:49] Speaker B: Hold on. I mean, for the record, you all are currently contending with one of the most powerful enemies in the world. Do it. [03:11:54] Speaker D: Micah, what was it that she was resistance to? [03:11:58] Speaker B: Resistant to fire, it looks like. Okay, you know what, Ro, if you want to make an arcana check or a strategy check, you could try and guess a couple of the others. Gonna make a strategies check for me. [03:12:11] Speaker A: I have 29 normal damage, and now I'm gonna do some fire damage. [03:12:15] Speaker B: Wait. Okay, good. I was gonna say, this is hard Math. [03:12:21] Speaker D: That's a 16 on my strategies check. [03:12:24] Speaker B: Okay, Ro, you can put together. I mean, you all are watching the fire be less effective than you would suspect. So you can. You can gather that from across the room. You've also. You've seen her. Her and Zorgom's past power seems to evoke a lot of fire and lightning. [03:12:39] Speaker D: Yeah. [03:12:39] Speaker B: And it occurs to you, like, oh, lightning's probably also something she's resistant to. And what wrongdem Might not put together, but. Well, actually, he's spent a lot of time fighting Zorgrim's cronies. What you all could put together is that a lot of Zorgrim's power seems to evoke fire, lightning and necrotic. So that's probably why she resistant to fire and lightning. [03:13:02] Speaker A: 57 fire damage. [03:13:04] Speaker B: 57. Okay, so that reduces to 20. Oh, Daniel, help me. 28. [03:13:11] Speaker A: 20. [03:13:13] Speaker B: Yeah, 20, right. [03:13:14] Speaker A: No, you're right. It's more than that. It's. Yeah, 20. You're right, you're right, you're right. [03:13:19] Speaker B: Daniel, I. [03:13:21] Speaker E: Stop. [03:13:21] Speaker B: Oh, stop giving me numbers that are hard to do math with, man. That's why once. Okay, okay, okay, okay. Understood. Anything else on your turn? There is a delay. [03:13:47] Speaker A: No, I do not have any else on a turn. [03:13:50] Speaker B: Okay. Do you want to particularly flavor what like it looks. Looks like is you throw your trident into her and pull together with a chain and then stab into her another time. [03:14:02] Speaker A: No, you can go for it. [03:14:03] Speaker B: Okay. As you launch the chain from across the space, it plunges into her chest and you pull to her and then you pull out another one. Stab into her again. You are cracking the bones in her rib cage, which are much stronger than they should be. Clearly reinforced by magic. And that I can flavor. What did you say? [03:14:22] Speaker D: Oh, no. [03:14:24] Speaker B: He's cracked all over. She's cracked all over in her bones. But it is worth noting how little she seems affected by the pain. Truly removed from her body. It seems like when deep magic is evoked over her. That hurts. But everything else doesn't seem to. It seems like this is just a cage that this power is living in. That is Rongrim's daunting turn. It is now the undead dragon's turn. So the undead dragon has to start by rolling to see if it gets its breath weapon back. So it recharges on a 5 or a 6. If it does not get it, it does not get its breath weapon back. Rolled a five. So from where it is again now, like stuttering and faltering on the one broken leg, it lifts up its head again. Except that Shista's being attacked. [03:15:26] Speaker E: Mm. [03:15:27] Speaker A: Mm. [03:15:30] Speaker B: No, this is still the move. And they're all under her control. They're all under her control. [03:15:35] Speaker A: Control. [03:15:35] Speaker B: It would do this. It raises up its head and more of that black smoke pours out below it. I need everybody to give me constitution. Saving throws again. DC17. But please tell me the number because I write him down. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. [03:15:56] Speaker A: Even me. Who's behind it? [03:15:59] Speaker B: Yes, everybody's in range, including boss. Boss doesn't make one. He just fails. [03:16:06] Speaker D: Which would be his third fail. [03:16:12] Speaker B: Okay, [03:16:19] Speaker D: Roe rolled a 19. [03:16:24] Speaker B: Okay, What did everyone else get? [03:16:33] Speaker D: Hello. [03:16:34] Speaker C: Automatically fails. A death save. [03:16:37] Speaker B: Yes. [03:16:41] Speaker C: AM I within 10ft of Craig? [03:16:45] Speaker B: Yes. [03:16:46] Speaker D: Oh, wait, I didn't add that. Then yes. [03:16:48] Speaker B: So you and Row are. [03:16:49] Speaker D: And I got a. And I got a 22. [03:16:56] Speaker C: I got a 21. [03:16:59] Speaker B: 21. Two 21s in a row. What did Craig and Wrong get? Okay, Craig got a 13. And Daniel, did you already say what you got for Wrong? [03:17:14] Speaker A: I have. [03:17:15] Speaker B: Oh, I. [03:17:17] Speaker A: My phone, because I just kept. Everything kept coming out. Here we are. Here's Daniel back. [03:17:23] Speaker B: That's all right. [03:17:23] Speaker A: I got a 25. [03:17:27] Speaker B: 25. Good. Okay, so Greta, Ro, and Wrongdam have all saved. Only Craig fails, and then Tello and Boz's consequences are automatic. Oh, Getting nauseous. Okay, 10. 20. Oh, this is the craziest feeling. 32, 44, 47 points of damage to Craig. And half of 40. 47 is 23. 23 to Greta Ro and run. [03:18:17] Speaker A: This is necrotic damage. [03:18:19] Speaker B: Yes. So halved again for you, Ron. Two. [03:18:23] Speaker A: Eleven. [03:18:24] Speaker B: Eleven. As the dragon's dissolving, necrotic head raises up and it moves, releases the black plume downward. All of you all cough and sputter and choke and wait. Greta, you're on your broom, right? [03:18:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:18:45] Speaker B: You're 10ft up. [03:18:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [03:18:48] Speaker B: The gas is heavy. It adheres to the ground. You are above the range of the gas. You take no damage. [03:18:56] Speaker C: That's good. [03:18:57] Speaker B: I wrote this in my notes that the heavy, dark gas, it gets to this breath weapon, gets to go in every single direction. But it can't go up. It only goes down. Oh, sorry. [03:19:10] Speaker D: Okay. [03:19:14] Speaker B: As the heavy gas spreads outward, Greta, as you move above it and your allies choke and sputter, you do look down and you see as Tello, unconscious on the floor, begins to convulse and spit up lot on his back, and you watch his. Boz, your druidic ally of these years, who in some ways brought this group together, sputters and coughs on the floor and then ceases to resist as he grows still. Sorry, I'm checking the messages on. Okay, I'm going to read Jackie's message. Message really quickly, and then we're going to keep rolling. Oh, it's. It's. It's. Oh, it's Tallow's turn. I'm going to read Jackie's message really quickly and respond. I have a question. My mask here wins from Soul Mender. The wording is reaction, turning Healing. Can I myself cast a healing spell and react off of it? [03:20:13] Speaker D: Like, I didn't know how that works? Like, if I just cast healing spell. [03:20:17] Speaker B: No, no, no. [03:20:17] Speaker C: You. [03:20:18] Speaker B: You can use a reaction to do it. [03:20:21] Speaker D: Okay, understood. [03:20:23] Speaker B: Here is a note. Here's a note before we keep going. So it is. It is incredibly, this. This gift given into you, into your loot that you can only use a couple times is one of the most powerful blessings provided to any. I mean, this makes. This makes your item one of the most powerful in the world because you get to cast mass cure wounds as a reaction. Now here's a note. Note that is still a leveled spell on your turn. [03:20:47] Speaker D: Yeah. [03:20:48] Speaker B: So if you use it as your reaction, you cannot use your action to cast a leveled spell, but you can use your action for anything else. [03:20:57] Speaker D: Okay, understood. [03:20:59] Speaker A: Does that mean she can use her reaction right now to cast? [03:21:05] Speaker B: She can. Would you like to do so [03:21:09] Speaker D: my question with that is, how does that work with the people that are down? Like, can I. [03:21:16] Speaker B: Well, boss is not down. Boss is dead. Okay. But Tella was down. So if you healed him, he would automatically come back up before making his death safer. So I'm not telling you what to do, but if you were trying to be strategic, if you did it now, he would be able to be back up and then take an action off his turn. [03:21:36] Speaker D: That's true. Yeah. Let's do it. I'm gonna use it. [03:21:44] Speaker B: Okay. [03:21:45] Speaker D: I'm gonna use the mass cure wounds. It goes out 100ft. All my allies, it's everyone, and it's 3D8. So let me roll that, plus my spellcasting ability. [03:21:58] Speaker B: So as all of the dark gas chokes everyone and everyone struggles, Roe does this, honestly, really slick move where she slings songsplitter apart and uses the same hand that threw it to reach around her back and pull soul meter forward. As she does, she plays this very, like, melodic quick, like, doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. Which begins layering over in its enchantment, enchanted ability to sound like multiple instruments, like an orchestral arrangement. And one of those. One of those purple amethyst golden circles on her symbol just cracks permanently. And this light radiates from around her and from all around. You all feel the warmth. You feel the many voices assuring the truth. You feel the presence of the wellspring you felt almost a year ago wash over you. And how much healing does everyone take? [03:22:54] Speaker D: Well, I rolled two full eights and a seven plus max healing, plus my spell casting ability modifier, which is Just straight charisma. Right? It's not like my so which is plus 5. So 28 points of healing to 28. [03:23:13] Speaker B: And with that, Teller was back up with 28 points of healing. [03:23:20] Speaker A: Heck, yeah. [03:23:23] Speaker D: Cool. That goes to myself as well. Right? [03:23:25] Speaker B: That's everybody. [03:23:26] Speaker D: Okay. [03:23:26] Speaker B: Yeah. Everybody okay. [03:23:28] Speaker C: Okay. I'm at 65. Tell us. At 28. Craig is at 90. [03:23:33] Speaker B: Jackie, you have. I. Not that this is a competition. MVP thus far, dude. Holy crap. And as the music washes back over, Tello gets up. He, like, stumbles to his feet. And he is often very human among you, looking like one transposed into the group, looking like one who didn't belong. But for this moment, he stands up like he just. You know what? This dude has died before. He stands up, coughs up a little blood, picks up his crossbow, and he just looks up with determination, a fire in his eyes. He looks to you, nods Ro and lifts up the crossbow. What's. [03:24:14] Speaker C: Is it his turn? Okay, are there any allies that are in within five feet? Are there any bad guys that are within five feet of my allies? [03:24:25] Speaker B: The bone claw on the other side of Ro is right next to her. Also, Shista is right next to Raw. However you want to handle that situation. So you could go for Shista or the bone claw, and you'd have sneak attack on both. [03:24:36] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Well, first of all, can you just tell me where Shista is without pointing? When you point, it blurs it. [03:24:45] Speaker B: Oh, sorry. Oh, you know what? You're right, because I put it on best quality. So now the image comes. That was a very helpful note. Thank you, Abby. Shista is on the other side of the undead dragon, where there is the one lone figure with, like, the halo of power around its head. [03:25:02] Speaker C: Got it. [03:25:03] Speaker B: In front of the orange token. That is just. [03:25:04] Speaker C: I see, I see, I see, I see, I see. Okay, and what is that thing right below Tello? [03:25:11] Speaker B: That is a bone claw. Okay, well, no, because you're 10ft in the air. He wouldn't have sneak attack on that one, and he'd have disadvantage. He was within five feet of it. [03:25:19] Speaker C: Well, who's not ten? Okay. Okay, I'm going to move. No, I'm gonna. Okay, Tello is going to shoot his enchanted crossbow at Shista. Okay, can he do that through the. The dragon? It's pretty big. [03:25:46] Speaker B: Oh, he's got a clear line of sight. The dragon's Ming is in the way, but it's like 50, 15, 20ft off the ground. So he's got. [03:25:54] Speaker C: Okay, he's gonna do that. He is Going to use a silvered arrow. [03:26:01] Speaker B: Okay. And any charges or. [03:26:03] Speaker C: No, he is going to use a charge. [03:26:06] Speaker B: Excellent. [03:26:08] Speaker C: Okay, so. So he's gonna roll the hit. [03:26:14] Speaker B: Yes. [03:26:15] Speaker C: Okay. [03:26:17] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. [03:26:18] Speaker C: Oh, how does a 28 sound? [03:26:23] Speaker B: A 28 will hit. [03:26:25] Speaker A: Let's go. [03:26:27] Speaker C: Okay, now I have to roll damage. [03:26:31] Speaker B: Oh, guys, I'm sick to my stomach. [03:26:33] Speaker C: Okay, okay, wait. Okay, so that's 1D8 plus 6 plus 8D6s. So let me get all of those guys. 1, 2, 3, 4. Sorry. Yeah, they're all spread out. [03:26:54] Speaker B: Nothing to apologize for here, dude. [03:26:59] Speaker C: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. [03:27:05] Speaker B: Oh, shoot. [03:27:08] Speaker C: What? [03:27:09] Speaker B: That's on me. I was supposed to move the dragon forward so he could use his legendary actions again, but I forgot. That's on me. I forgot so much. [03:27:18] Speaker C: Oh, my God, that was so scary. [03:27:21] Speaker B: Abby, camera fell over. [03:27:24] Speaker C: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 8. And then 28. So what? I. I think [03:27:38] Speaker B: cribs. [03:27:41] Speaker C: That's a lot [03:27:45] Speaker B: Listener. What you can't hear is Abby's. Abby's phone is falling over again and again and again. And every time it does, she goes. [03:27:54] Speaker C: Okay, let me do my math. Two plus two. Plus 7. Again. We're doing Abby math for real. [03:28:29] Speaker B: That's okay. [03:28:30] Speaker C: Oh, I can't do that. [03:28:32] Speaker B: I mean, I know there was a lull and a pause there in sound, but I'm sitting here reading all just this 200 things she can do. [03:28:39] Speaker C: Great. [03:28:54] Speaker B: Oh, that's a gamble. [03:29:01] Speaker C: So he used a silvered arrow, so that's an extra D4. Oh, I got a four. And then what else was I gonna do? [03:29:13] Speaker A: Wow. [03:29:14] Speaker C: Four D6. Radiant damage. [03:29:16] Speaker B: Yeah. You guys okay? Your enchant. His weapon was smart. He's about to roll. [03:29:25] Speaker C: Yeah. Let's roll more dice. Wow. [03:29:34] Speaker A: It's exciting when you get to use the little rogue ability. It's fun. That's a lot of damage. [03:29:41] Speaker C: I rolled two sixes on that roll. [03:29:44] Speaker B: Nice. [03:29:45] Speaker C: Okay, you ready? [03:29:47] Speaker B: I'm ready. [03:29:49] Speaker C: You don't need me to separate radiant damage? [03:29:52] Speaker B: No. [03:29:54] Speaker C: Okay. 58 damage. [03:29:59] Speaker A: Whoa, [03:30:01] Speaker B: 58 damage. [03:30:02] Speaker E: That. [03:30:02] Speaker B: I think that's a new record for Tello. [03:30:04] Speaker C: Yeah, 58 damage. And the next attack roll against this target before the end of Tell's next turn has advantage. [03:30:16] Speaker B: That is Abby. That's phenomenal. What a play. What a play. Oh, my goodness. Wow. [03:30:24] Speaker C: Okay. And I. Am I forgetting anything? I did my silvered arrow. I did my guided guiding bolt. I did my. [03:30:31] Speaker A: Did you add the decks? [03:30:33] Speaker C: No, wait. I did [03:30:36] Speaker A: tell you. [03:30:40] Speaker B: Okay, as Tello stands up from almost dying, he just. He spits up and he raises his crossbow, and he just goes. I don't care anymore. And the bolt just. And as it flies across the room, it catches fire with brilliant light and this momentous blur of white light just. And as it fires into her, into the chest and against the radiance, she just hisses. And as it fires into her, you watch the light flare around her, and some of her bones crack. Oshistha's looking very seriously hurt. She looks really seriously damaged. [03:31:22] Speaker C: Okay. [03:31:23] Speaker B: At the end of Tellah's turn. [03:31:25] Speaker C: I'm not. I'm not done. [03:31:26] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, sorry, sorry. [03:31:30] Speaker C: Okay, so the guy right below him is a bone. A bone claw. [03:31:36] Speaker B: Yep. You've seen them do a lot of damage. [03:31:38] Speaker C: Yeah. Where is Craig? [03:31:42] Speaker B: Just feet away from you. [03:31:44] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. What color is Craig? [03:31:47] Speaker B: Blue. [03:31:48] Speaker C: Okay, Tello is going to. I want him to bonus action. Disengage and go. Go straight south with all of his movement. So that's 35ft of movement. [03:32:16] Speaker B: The camera's oriented differently toward you than me. [03:32:18] Speaker C: Oh, okay. [03:32:22] Speaker A: Away from the dragon. [03:32:23] Speaker C: Away from the dragon. Yes. [03:32:26] Speaker B: So toward the wall? [03:32:28] Speaker C: Yes. I think. I don't know. [03:32:31] Speaker B: Kind of. Kind of between the two bone claws. Behind Greta? Yeah, on the other side of Greta. Okay. Is this where you want to be or further? That's. [03:32:47] Speaker C: I can't. [03:32:48] Speaker B: That's 20. 20ft of movement. [03:32:50] Speaker C: And he's all the way against the wall. [03:32:52] Speaker B: He's all the way against the wall. [03:32:56] Speaker C: Yeah. I think that's where I want to start. [03:32:57] Speaker B: The wall further away. [03:33:00] Speaker C: So would that be kind of like going towards the dragon? [03:33:05] Speaker B: I'd just be going around the circle. Yeah, yeah, you really wouldn't be getting any further the dragon as you pinned up against the wall. You'd just be getting further away from your allies, which is maybe not the best. I don't know. [03:33:14] Speaker C: Okay, so I think I'll leave him there. And that is the end of his turn. [03:33:18] Speaker B: Tello does, like, a barrel roll past one of the death wights, and it swipes at him, but he just rolls past it. Okay, so this is interesting. Shist that was going to respond with legendary action, master of cantrips, loathsome blast him. But now he is squarely on the other side of the dragon, so she can't anymore. [03:33:37] Speaker C: Oh, nice. [03:33:41] Speaker B: So now she'll try to hit Greta. [03:33:43] Speaker A: She'll have disadvantage on the attack if she's doing an attack roll, because my spirits get in the way of anyone she's attacking that isn't other than you. Yep. [03:33:56] Speaker B: All right, then she'll hit you. [03:33:58] Speaker A: Come on, baby. [03:34:01] Speaker B: A.C. is 22. Yes. Okay, that hits. [03:34:06] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [03:34:10] Speaker B: Who am I echoing through? Oh, it's gone now. It's gone now. Oh, it's Abby. Abby, if you wouldn't mind, it's feeding back. [03:34:24] Speaker C: Oh, sorry. [03:34:25] Speaker B: Now that you put your headphones. Now it's not. That was weird. [03:34:28] Speaker C: Okay. Sorry. [03:34:29] Speaker B: No, that's okay. I don't mean you put on your headphones and it magically stopped. Okay. I didn't roll super high on that damage. You're resistant to necrotic, right, Daniel? [03:34:37] Speaker A: Yes, sir. Okay. [03:34:39] Speaker B: And psyche three plus six. Okay, so you only take three necrotic. [03:34:45] Speaker A: Got it. [03:34:46] Speaker B: But you're gonna take more force. You're going to take 10, 19 points of force damage. [03:34:55] Speaker A: Got it. [03:34:56] Speaker B: As she just blasts you in the face with a loathsome blast, more of that like dark black red energy sprays out against you. Okay, that was Tella's turn. Yes. Question mark. [03:35:08] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [03:35:09] Speaker B: Go to greet ata. What's greeted do? Oh, wait. She did that damage against wrong Grimm. She's going to use breath from bleeding. Wrong Grimm. I need a constitutions every day. Which you're really good at. [03:35:23] Speaker A: I am. [03:35:24] Speaker B: Usually. I don't know if you can fail this actually. [03:35:28] Speaker A: Well, I'm gonna. I'm gonna test it. [03:35:32] Speaker C: I'm gonna try. [03:35:35] Speaker A: Yeah. How does a 13 sound? [03:35:39] Speaker D: Wow. [03:35:40] Speaker B: I would like to, as your DM, formally apologize for jinxing you. Also, just as a heads up, we're gonna. We're gonna take a break soon because I. I know this is a crazy combat. Sorry for jinxing you. Okay, so what was the total. [03:35:55] Speaker A: I think I should get inspiration for you jinxing me. [03:35:59] Speaker B: What was the. What was the total? [03:36:01] Speaker A: Game 22. [03:36:03] Speaker B: So she is going to regain from your harm a little 11 hit points. Okay. All right, it's Greta's turn. Okay, Craig's on deck. And Rose after that. [03:36:23] Speaker C: Tell me where Buzz is. Oh, did you take him off the map? Why would you do that? [03:36:31] Speaker B: He's right here in front of. [03:36:33] Speaker C: Okay. In front of the bone gone. [03:36:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Or his body is rather. [03:36:41] Speaker D: Is it a bone? The bone claw or the bone. [03:36:44] Speaker C: I'm sorry. Okay. [03:36:46] Speaker D: Just white bone. [03:36:48] Speaker C: I am going to fly over to him. [03:37:01] Speaker B: You are? [03:37:02] Speaker C: I have 40ft of movement. [03:37:04] Speaker E: Okay. [03:37:05] Speaker C: Okay, then I'm not going to move. [03:37:07] Speaker E: Oh, [03:37:09] Speaker C: I have 40ft of movement. Can I get there? [03:37:12] Speaker B: No, you totally can. [03:37:21] Speaker C: But do I have enough? [03:37:24] Speaker B: Turns out the bone claws have a 15 foot reach if they need. [03:37:27] Speaker D: No, no, no. [03:37:28] Speaker B: Come on. No, away from the map. [03:37:30] Speaker C: Okay. [03:37:36] Speaker B: So it's gonna take an opportunity attack against you right okay. Oh, I rolled a two. What's your ac. Oh, I missed. That was a ten. Nice as you zip by it misses you. Phenomenal abs. Phenomenal. Okay, so you're over there by Boz. Do you lower all the way down to the ground? [03:37:58] Speaker C: Yes. Do I have enough movement for that? [03:38:01] Speaker B: You do. So I'm going to go ahead and remove your stand for a second. Okay, you're still on your broom, but just to help simplify the visual. [03:38:14] Speaker C: Can I. Can I. Okay, [03:38:19] Speaker B: you are right next to him now. [03:38:21] Speaker C: Well, okay, go ahead. [03:38:22] Speaker E: Sorry. [03:38:22] Speaker B: Utilizing the bone claw feature as an. As a creature moves into range, they can use deadly reach. So now this one's going to try to roll to hit you. Yeah, that's a 24 to hit. [03:38:36] Speaker C: That hits, obviously. [03:38:40] Speaker B: So you're gonna take [03:38:43] Speaker A: Abby. [03:38:44] Speaker B: Guess what I rolled on my die. [03:38:45] Speaker C: A one, a zero. [03:38:47] Speaker B: You found a one, a two, and a three. A one, a two, and a 3. Well, you don't want me to roll a zero. That's a D10. That'd be 10, but I rolled a one, a two, and A3. No, she has not. [03:38:59] Speaker C: So that's 5, so. Well, plus, mind piercing 9? You can't pierce. [03:39:09] Speaker B: It's between 8 and 10. [03:39:12] Speaker C: Okay, Mr. Sassypants. [03:39:16] Speaker B: That's what they call me. [03:39:19] Speaker C: Between. Wait, 9. I can't do math anymore. [03:39:26] Speaker E: Okay, [03:39:28] Speaker C: okay. Done doing damage to Greta now. [03:39:31] Speaker B: All done doing damage to Greta now. [03:39:34] Speaker C: Okay, Greta is going to. As she's flying over, she's gonna dig her hand into her pocket and whip out the diamond. And she is. I'm gonna say that she flies over and then just kind of, like, drops onto Boz. Like. Like, just kind, like, drops on top of him and like, puts her hand on his face. And she's going to cast her vivify. Okay, and then delete that. [03:40:12] Speaker B: Hop off to the. Off of the broom and land on him in your hands. The boneclaw rakes over your back. But you, like, as you, like, protect your head. You swear the symbol of Ioun briefly, like, appears above you and deflects a great deal the damage. You put your hands on either side of boss's face. You press the diamond and describe me what it looks like as you cast. Revivify. [03:40:37] Speaker C: We'll say that, like, tears start flowing out of her face, but way more tears. Drops and drops and drops. And then eventually, just, I think water just starts falling from her face and it, like, clings to Boz and kind of like how like. Like a water will, like, bead up on a. On a Duck. It, like, beads up on him and just, like, flows all over his body. And anywhere that there's, like, an open wound, it just, like, seeps in. And I don't think it, like. [03:41:11] Speaker B: Well, it doesn't seem as you describe. We do. So I've checked. [03:41:16] Speaker C: Make. Oh, yes, yes. [03:41:18] Speaker B: Before you get too far in the description, no one else can help you with this right now. It is only you. [03:41:23] Speaker C: Okay. [03:41:27] Speaker B: Please be very honest and helpful. This is Boz's first death, correct? [03:41:31] Speaker D: I think so. I don't think we've ever revivified him before. [03:41:35] Speaker B: One death. Greta has one or two. [03:41:37] Speaker D: I feel like Greta has two. [03:41:41] Speaker C: Why do I feel like it's two? Two. [03:41:42] Speaker D: Gret has two, Tello has one, and Boss has one. [03:41:47] Speaker B: Craig has none, and Ro has none. Correct. So. [03:41:50] Speaker C: So this is B's first. [03:41:53] Speaker B: Yes, this is Baz's first. So it's still DC10, which is very doable. You are making a check with your wisdom casting modifier, [03:42:03] Speaker C: and it's DC10, DC10 Wisdom Cast. [03:42:10] Speaker B: So as long as you roll a five or higher. [03:42:13] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. Okay. That is a 17. For what? A 22. [03:42:25] Speaker B: And as the water beads and flows into his wounds and you supplicate to Ioun, you watch as Baz draws in a breath and he is returned to life. Now, with revivify, he's at one hit point. [03:42:44] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [03:42:47] Speaker C: Okay. [03:42:49] Speaker B: And he is. He's conscious, right? [03:42:52] Speaker D: He's conscious. Yeah. [03:42:54] Speaker A: Yeah. [03:42:55] Speaker B: Okay, so causes return to consciousness with one hit point. [03:42:59] Speaker C: Okay. And it's a of bunch. Bonus action to administer a healing potion or an action girl. [03:43:04] Speaker B: Yes. Bonus action on yourself. Action on someone else. Bonus action on yourself. [03:43:10] Speaker E: Dang. [03:43:10] Speaker C: Okay. Action on someone else. Does he have one? Oh, it's not his turn. [03:43:18] Speaker D: Never mind. [03:43:20] Speaker C: Okay, well, I don't. I. I don't have any more actions. [03:43:22] Speaker D: He does have one. [03:43:24] Speaker B: Okay. Are we doing anything else? [03:43:27] Speaker C: And I. Did I use all of my movement? [03:43:31] Speaker B: No, you used 25. [03:43:37] Speaker C: Okay, well, I. I do not want to provoke an attack of opportunity, so that's it for me. Wait, Okay. [03:43:46] Speaker E: I can't. [03:43:46] Speaker B: Technically speaking, it already used its. [03:43:48] Speaker C: Wait, it already used it? Yeah. So then I'm gonna. What? I can't. Would it be. Is it. Okay, I'm just gonna. [03:43:58] Speaker B: I'm just. [03:43:58] Speaker C: Just gonna try. Don't laugh at me. What sort of action would it be to, like, if I wanted to drag Boss with me? [03:44:06] Speaker B: No, I'll let you do that for a check. Here's the dealio. Sorry, I just went ahead and put you back on your Marker. In case you float up. Here's the dealio. I'll let you do that as an athletics check as part of your movement. It's gonna cut your movement in half. You have 15 remaining, so that take you to seven and a half. We have to round to five. So you'd have five feet of movement. And he's bigger than you. So that is going to be D.C. like 15 or 20. [03:44:29] Speaker C: These bone guys have. These bone guys have a range of like, that. Of like, 15. [03:44:34] Speaker B: They've got real long arms. [03:44:37] Speaker C: Okay, well, I'm not going to do that because that seems like a waste of my efforts. So I'm just. Just going to. Let me check out that little baby tenement. I would like to. No, I'm gonna go 10ft. [03:44:58] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [03:45:00] Speaker C: I'm gonna go 10ft up. So that leaves me with 5ft of movement. I'm gonna go 10ft up and. Wait, why are we all the way over here? Oh, okay. [03:45:19] Speaker B: I was moving it to the side until you told me where you were going. I assume 10ft up and 5ft over. That's where I've put you. [03:45:25] Speaker C: That works for me. [03:45:26] Speaker B: Phone. Excellent. That is Greta's phenomenal turn. The end of Greta's turn. Shista is going to use legendary action. She is going to cast Master of Cantrips. She's going to use Master of Cantrips. And she is going to cast. Loathsome Blast. Or would it be better to do. Hold on. She has others. Ow. I have fatted. I have done a fat. No, no, that is still the most strategically valuable. Yeah. Okay. She'll do Lotus and blast on Wrong. Grim, because he's still right up in her face in a problem. Yep. That's 29 to hit. [03:46:16] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll hit this time. [03:46:19] Speaker B: But only this time, DM only. [03:46:28] Speaker A: Okay. [03:46:34] Speaker B: Okay. Well, that's actually valuable. I got 10 points of necrotic that time, so you're only gonna take five. [03:46:38] Speaker A: Nice. [03:46:38] Speaker B: So, man, Daniel, the choice to bring that shroud in was phenomenal. Okay. [03:46:46] Speaker A: Yeah. [03:46:48] Speaker B: As for your force damage, fairly high 28 points. [03:46:58] Speaker A: When she did the. Whatever she did last time to heal herself, was that her reaction to do that or was that. [03:47:04] Speaker B: That's just a feature. [03:47:06] Speaker A: Just a feature. So there's no. [03:47:08] Speaker B: You all are. You all are dealing with one of the most powerful enemies in the world. This is. This is the Lich Queen. This is someone who commands undead from across the globe. This is the right hand of Zorgrim. In this foul world, she is one of the single most powerful foes in Yaladin, period. And you're fighting her in her lair. This is almost as hard as it gets. But I do need a constitution saving throw. And let me tell you, I'm not going to say a thing about it. I'm just going to let you roll it. I've got nothing to say about it. [03:47:41] Speaker A: Come on. [03:47:42] Speaker B: It's like your lack of likelihood. [03:47:45] Speaker A: Well, thanks, Zach. It. It hurt you. And I got a 15 this time. [03:47:49] Speaker B: I said. I said I wasn't gonna say anything. [03:47:52] Speaker E: What? [03:47:52] Speaker A: You still did. You still did. You still did, Zach, though. That's what it is. [03:47:56] Speaker B: Well, before you get too zazzy with [03:47:58] Speaker C: it, that's what it is. [03:48:00] Speaker B: Well, hold on. Let me read before I say something. Before you get too zazzy with me. The DC for breath from bleeding is 15. So meets it beats it. You do not have the dam half the damage pulled from you back into healing for her. Okay, okay. Okay. Craig's turn. Also. I'm just going to let you guys know we're going to get to the. This end the. The end of this round of combat, and then we're going to go on break and I'm gonna try not to throw up. [03:48:37] Speaker E: Yep. I have a question. Do I know that if we kill Shista that everything else will fall apart under her control? [03:48:45] Speaker B: I'm not gonna make you make a check. That's. First of all, you've yet to fight anything yet where if one thing was controlling them, everything else did not die. But also, she's the queen of death. She is the. The queen of the damned. The Lich queen. You imagine if you kill her, all of them, this comes tumbling down. [03:49:01] Speaker E: Well, how far away is she? [03:49:02] Speaker B: Also, I think Alandra told you far. She is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60. 65ft from you. [03:49:14] Speaker E: 65ft. [03:49:17] Speaker B: And there's an undead dragon and a wrong Grim in the way. [03:49:20] Speaker E: Okay, how's the dragon used? Is the opportunity attack reaction or is it. [03:49:28] Speaker B: Yes, sorry. Yes. No, it has not used its reaction yet. Okay, Is she within 10ft of it? No, no, Craig's not within 10ft of it. He's 15. [03:49:40] Speaker E: But I would have to walk past it. [03:49:42] Speaker B: Yes, he'd have to walk past it to get in range to use his ranged attack on shift. [03:49:46] Speaker C: Am I. [03:49:46] Speaker E: Do I have God speed still? Do I still have the. [03:49:51] Speaker B: You do. God speed is still up. [03:49:53] Speaker C: You should have had the ring. [03:49:55] Speaker B: I'm sorry? I should have had the ring on you this whole time. [03:49:57] Speaker D: That was very elf above you, Micah. That note, the note you hit was the defying gravity note. [03:50:06] Speaker E: Okay. I am wondering if I can use Godspeed to fly above the dragon. And you can. [03:50:16] Speaker B: I am assembling your disc right now. [03:50:19] Speaker E: If I get on the ground, use my walking speed. [03:50:24] Speaker B: You can't double over your speeds. You have to pick. You're using your flying. [03:50:28] Speaker A: How much flying speed is it, though? [03:50:30] Speaker E: I have 60 or 60. [03:50:33] Speaker B: A lot. [03:50:34] Speaker E: 60ft flying. [03:50:43] Speaker B: What do you want to do? [03:50:43] Speaker A: Craig, are you doing? [03:50:49] Speaker E: I want to get to Ron room, I think. I'm just. I'm. I'm going to choose it. I'm going to fly to a step and listen, can I go. Can I go onto the right side of the dragon so that I don't get an opportunity attack from. Does that make sense? [03:51:18] Speaker B: Yeah, for sure, for sure, for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [03:51:20] Speaker E: Even if I get, like, a little bit closer, I can still do ranged attacks. I just need to help program fight. [03:51:29] Speaker B: If you make it over to here, you can use your ranged attacks. [03:51:32] Speaker E: Will that still do an opportunity attack? I'm trying to figure out a way to not do that. [03:51:41] Speaker B: No, you could come all the way here and not. And not get an opportunity attack if [03:51:44] Speaker E: you fly, and that would still allow a ranged attack for Shista. [03:51:48] Speaker B: Bro, you got 60ft on your ranged attack. Yeah. Fo show. [03:51:52] Speaker E: Okay, I'm going to go ahead and do that. [03:51:56] Speaker B: Okay. Craig's molten light wings flare up and he does this really cool, like, banking arced fly. This swoop by and the dragon, but its jaws aren't anywhere near far enough as he zooms by. [03:52:13] Speaker E: Okay, I'm going to do the ranged attack also. I forgot about this. But it seems since I'm in 15th level, I now have the something well feature where I can do a D12 with my divine smite. [03:52:34] Speaker B: Yep. [03:52:35] Speaker E: Fun fact. So I'm also doing that. Cool. Now we pause for damage. [03:52:45] Speaker B: Well, now you roll the hit. [03:52:47] Speaker E: Oh, that's what I mean. Yes, indeed. I also get a plus one, two. Oh, wait. Is that Bailey, though? [03:53:00] Speaker D: Oh, y'. All. [03:53:06] Speaker E: Yeah, that's only melee, so I can't add that. [03:53:09] Speaker C: Cool. [03:53:09] Speaker E: Okay, I will do the D12 then. [03:53:18] Speaker B: Nickel. [03:53:28] Speaker E: Wait, I have. I'm gonna re roll that D20 as per my ability. [03:53:36] Speaker B: You can? [03:53:37] Speaker C: Yes, as per my ability. As per my last. [03:53:41] Speaker B: As per my last ability. As per. [03:53:47] Speaker A: I want to. So I can. [03:53:49] Speaker B: As per. As per wanting to. I'm gonna go ahead and do it. [03:53:53] Speaker C: As per. I'm gonna. [03:53:58] Speaker B: This is a stupid joke. Okay. [03:54:01] Speaker E: And gosh dang. 17. Oh, that sucks. I have a 21 and a 17. [03:54:14] Speaker B: Okay, 21 will hit. 17 will not [03:54:20] Speaker E: stop. [03:54:21] Speaker B: I'm just checking because you probably are. Are we keeping track of the charges we're expending on the ranged attacks? [03:54:27] Speaker E: Yes. [03:54:28] Speaker B: Okay, dope, because this is. There's three, right? [03:54:30] Speaker E: This is the third one. [03:54:32] Speaker B: Okay. [03:54:32] Speaker A: Okay. [03:54:32] Speaker B: Okay. Just want to make sure. Want to make sure [03:54:37] Speaker A: you still have your per diem because you might be able to. Oh, good thinking. [03:54:42] Speaker E: I've used my per DM, my D roll, my D20 roll and my add plus one for roll to hit before I know it hits. So I guess I'm gonna do damage for the first ranged weapon. But I'm also going to be adding my plus three and my 18 stored hit points. [03:55:04] Speaker B: Yes. From the. From. Wait, wait, hold on. From cosmic instrument. [03:55:08] Speaker E: From plus three from cosmic instrument. And then 18 stored hit points from refraction as I store. [03:55:15] Speaker B: Got you. Is there a saving throw with that for me or does it just work automatically? [03:55:19] Speaker E: Let me double check that, guys. There's so much food. [03:55:23] Speaker B: Micah, it's really impressive what you've managed to master with this character. And I. I just mean that really genuinely. Yes, yes. High level characters get complicated. [03:55:36] Speaker C: I feel so sick in my center. [03:55:39] Speaker B: Dude, let me tell you. Yeah. A dex saving throw. [03:55:45] Speaker E: It is. It's a dex saving throw. [03:55:47] Speaker B: Yes. [03:55:49] Speaker E: I roll it or you roll it. No, you would roll it. [03:55:52] Speaker B: Yes. And not that it I think matters for you, but I believe you're using your reaction to do use the charge. But you can just information. That's not good. No. I got an 11. [03:56:11] Speaker E: Good stuff. [03:56:13] Speaker B: So his wrong games all over her. She doesn't have the movement. So Star Splinter shatters into space into pieces as you launch the many flechettes, the many broken pieces flying at it. And from the other arm, you pulls out the wave of light from your shield. [03:56:30] Speaker E: Hold on. Oh, y'. All. I wish I was doing this when I felt good. [03:56:38] Speaker B: I'm so sorry. Micah, let it. Let it be said that it's very impressive that you're doing this. Also, what's really cool is the beam of energy comes out. It's 40 foot line, but it's one foot wide. So this doesn't hit long Grim. It would have hit him. But it's one foot. [03:57:01] Speaker E: Hold on. I'm adding the stuff now. [03:57:04] Speaker B: No, you're okay. You're okay. This is a lot of numbers. It's a lot of math. Take your time. Poop your poops. Is that it's greater. [03:57:20] Speaker A: Yeah. [03:57:29] Speaker E: Okay, Craigs, have a good day at work. Divine Smite. I'm gonna do a level four divine smite. This is the last one. I can do 68. [03:57:45] Speaker B: Hell, yeah. [03:58:07] Speaker E: Okay. And now I do 12. That is it. [03:58:15] Speaker C: That's a 12. [03:58:17] Speaker B: Yo, let's go, Mickel, girl. Piss them pants. Piss them pants. [03:58:28] Speaker E: Oh, one more detail for undead [03:58:34] Speaker B: guys. Jackie just did a tiny, little disappointed head shake at me. That was all. Not angry, just disappointed. Oh, I. That's right. I pinned the Osmojicons and the Homebrew rules. [03:58:50] Speaker C: Now, why would you be looking at that [03:58:54] Speaker B: now? [03:58:54] Speaker D: That's true. I don't like that. We can use them. Why are you using. [03:59:02] Speaker B: Don't quote the deep magic to me. Which. I was there when it was written. [03:59:06] Speaker D: Okay. [03:59:08] Speaker A: No, that. [03:59:09] Speaker D: No, no, I know. I, I. No, I did it. I get the quote. I just don't like the quote in this context. [03:59:19] Speaker B: In this context, [03:59:23] Speaker D: because, honestly, she was there when it was written. [03:59:29] Speaker B: Scary. Big scary. She could do that. Yeah, that'd probably be that. It's probably. Oh, shoot. Yeah, that's probably what she's gonna do. [03:59:41] Speaker C: I swear, it feels like she has a turn every. It turns. Yeah, it's like. It's like every time we do something, [03:59:46] Speaker E: she's like, also me. [03:59:47] Speaker C: Also me. Also me. [03:59:48] Speaker D: She needs to like. She's kind of greedy, like. [03:59:52] Speaker C: Well, I think she's like. She's like a. She needs to, like, let go of the spotlight a little bit. Like, it's okay. [03:59:57] Speaker B: No, no, I was just. No, no, no. I was just really embracing. You guys told me a while back, four or five times we embrace women's rights and women's wrongs, and I was just really, really internal. 86 total. [04:00:12] Speaker D: Let's go. [04:00:13] Speaker B: Like a phenomenal. That's so much damage. [04:00:17] Speaker E: 17 of it is psychic, though. Is she resistant to that? [04:00:21] Speaker B: Let's find out. [04:00:22] Speaker C: We guessed necrotic is what we guessed. [04:00:25] Speaker B: She is not resistant to. [04:00:27] Speaker C: Rock on, baby. [04:00:29] Speaker D: Wait, we knew that. We did know that. Because I hit her with some psyche. [04:00:33] Speaker B: I know, but I was going to let Micah feel victorious all over again. [04:00:36] Speaker D: Oh, I'm sorry. I. [04:00:38] Speaker B: It's okay. [04:00:39] Speaker C: I didn't mean. [04:00:40] Speaker D: I'm so sorry, Micah. [04:00:41] Speaker B: I was jle. [04:00:43] Speaker C: Why would you take away Micah's victory? [04:00:44] Speaker D: I don't mean to do that. [04:00:46] Speaker B: Could you describe to me what it looks like as you severely wound Sha bringing her far beyond fractured? [04:00:55] Speaker E: I'm going to. Obviously, they're ranged. Intense pack. I'm just saying my brain. But it's. It's going to do similarly to what it did before. It's going to kind of like shoot out and circle her, cutting her, cutting her bones and breaking them and like, causing impact. But as I'm doing so, I. I'm gonna. With the psychic damage, I'm gonna say, What's that one saying? Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never. Like, is that a thing? [04:01:44] Speaker C: Never hurt me. Yeah, yeah. [04:01:47] Speaker E: These sticks and stones will break your bones. And the words are what record? Or something like that. I don't know. Something similar. [04:01:58] Speaker B: Excellent, Craig. When she said what's the saying? All I could think of was the Abby's mesvit thing from the one shot. But that's not for right now, nuna. Not on the battle map, baby. So Craig swings right on the wings and launches. The blade flechettes reach out and they pierce. They shred a lot of her cloak. They crack a bunch of the bones, a bunch of the ribs fall away. Some of her arms fracture. And you watch as the energy inside of her sparks and flares. And she. Against your radiance, she looks severely cracked. And as you shout your phrase, it comes out in the many tongues of the deepest speech. And you watch as the fire and the light in her eyes flickers and she. Phenomenal turn, Craig. Excellent. At the end of your turn. [04:02:52] Speaker D: No. [04:02:52] Speaker B: She is going to spend. [04:02:53] Speaker E: No. [04:02:54] Speaker B: 2 legendary actions. Two to do greater spell casting. [04:02:58] Speaker C: What does that mean? [04:03:00] Speaker B: And she is going to cast dimension door. [04:03:02] Speaker C: Oh, what the. [04:03:04] Speaker B: And red energy around her is going to. And she is just going to disappear into light. And then. [04:03:10] Speaker D: Where's she coming up? Oh, crap on a cracker. [04:03:15] Speaker B: She's going to. [04:03:16] Speaker E: Wait, what did she do? [04:03:17] Speaker C: Dimension door. Oh, my gosh. [04:03:21] Speaker E: Are you kidding me? [04:03:22] Speaker D: Are you freaking kidding? Who is she by? [04:03:24] Speaker B: Who is that Tello. [04:03:27] Speaker E: You're actually. Right now. [04:03:29] Speaker B: Not even a little bit. Now it's Rose turn. [04:03:34] Speaker D: Yeah. Okay, I have a question, and I feel like this is a dumb question. [04:03:47] Speaker A: No dumb questions. [04:03:48] Speaker D: Because I feel like I would know this, but I can't. Remember, if you upcast polymorph, can you change more than one person? [04:04:00] Speaker B: No. No, because. [04:04:03] Speaker D: Oh, that's right. Because mass polymorph is a spell. You are correct. [04:04:06] Speaker B: I'll check, but. [04:04:08] Speaker D: Okay, I don't think so. I'm looking. [04:04:12] Speaker A: There's no upcasting thing. [04:04:13] Speaker D: Yeah, I didn't think so. Okay, no worries. No worries. I'm going to. [04:04:22] Speaker B: That was exactly the thought I had, actually. Literally one for one, what I thought [04:04:26] Speaker D: in my head, which. That is a. That is a Bob's Burger quote, by the way. Row is going to Cast Polymorph onto Boss and turn him into. Into Boss Rex. [04:04:41] Speaker C: Whoa. [04:04:46] Speaker D: That'll give him more hit points than he would have normally. So it's basically like a way around a mass helium. [04:04:54] Speaker A: Yeah. Sick. [04:04:56] Speaker D: So he's going to be a T. Rex. And when she does this and she plays and this purple magic comes out, that's crazy. This purple magic comes out of her loot, and it wraps around Boz, who only has one hit point, and he just starts to grow into this version of a T. Rex. And he still has, like, Boz's colored eyes. And I want to say that the T. Rex is kind of like, sparkly green like Boss still. [04:05:26] Speaker C: Nice. [04:05:27] Speaker B: Oh, do you want me to use the other T. Rex? [04:05:29] Speaker D: No, it's fine. It doesn't matter. And then, as she does this [04:05:36] Speaker E: because [04:05:37] Speaker D: of Greta bringing him back to life before this, she bartically inspired buyers. Greta. [04:05:45] Speaker B: Oh, phenomenal. [04:05:46] Speaker D: And that's a D12 to you, Greta. [04:05:48] Speaker E: Wow. [04:05:49] Speaker D: To a roll. [04:05:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [04:05:51] Speaker D: And let's see. Where am I? Where am I? [04:05:57] Speaker B: Where are you? You're shoveled right up next to a bone claw. [04:06:01] Speaker D: Cool, cool, cool. So if I do move, it's got a nice opportunity, right? [04:06:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [04:06:07] Speaker D: Okay. So I guess I'll just stay there. And you can also, if you want to put a concentration ring on me. [04:06:13] Speaker B: Yes. So I don't forget. [04:06:15] Speaker D: So I guess that's my turn. And. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's my turn. [04:06:29] Speaker B: That's awesome. As Jackie just continue. Oh, my goodness. As Jackie continues. Continues to just nail the turns here. As Ro sees her beloved friend, the person she'd want felt as though a sibling figure. Boz struggling to consciousness. He plays. I don't know. Something cool just like. And Boss. One of his legs and then another one. And his body. Body rips apart as a T. Rex bursts out of it. And there's just a whole T. Rex inside of Black Fang right now. And there is a very awesome Kaiju moment that's just gonna be in the narrative as the T. Rex. Boz and the undead dragon from across both the T. Rex and the. And the. And the. Look at that map. Does D get any better than that? [04:07:28] Speaker E: That's pretty crazy. [04:07:31] Speaker B: As an undead dragon faces a T. Rex. I wish the picture were clearer right now, but that's fine. Phenomenal turn. Jle. Phenomenal turn. Not to. Not to take the wind out of our sails. [04:07:47] Speaker D: Yeah. [04:07:48] Speaker B: At the end of return. [04:07:50] Speaker D: Yeah. [04:07:52] Speaker B: Just is gonna do a stinky. [04:07:53] Speaker D: Of course she is. But guess what? Boz has a plus 10 to con now. [04:07:59] Speaker B: So that's awesome. That's a really good call. Don't know if that's gonna help, but. [04:08:05] Speaker D: Better than what he had? [04:08:10] Speaker B: Well, she can't actually use that. She can't actually use any of her third level or lower spells. There's no point in using the legendary action on that. Does she have another one? Legendary action? No, that's her only one. Okay, she'll use Master of Cantrips again and she'll fire on. Let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see. Oh, yeah. She doesn't have a good beat on Craig, actually. And Rose on the other side of the bone claw. She could hit Tello. He did hurt her a lot. She could hit Greta and she could hit wrong, but he'd have half cover, so she's not gonna mess with all that. Yes, she will. Well, maybe. What's the bonus from half cover plus five? Easy Durango. [04:09:13] Speaker D: Sheesh. [04:09:14] Speaker A: Half cover is only like plus two, ain't it? I think plus five is full cover. [04:09:19] Speaker B: Yes, you're right, you're right, you're right. Yeah, she'll do it. She'll do loathsome blast at wrongdem again. Because first of all, she's been watching you for a while. She watched you destroy her unceasing massacre. And second of all, you've heard her a lot. That's not a lot. [04:09:36] Speaker C: She likes you. [04:09:38] Speaker B: So with plus two, what's your ace two? 24. I rolled a seven on the die, [04:09:48] Speaker D: so let's go. [04:09:49] Speaker B: I get a total of a 22 and I don't hit you? [04:09:53] Speaker D: That's ridiculous. [04:09:56] Speaker B: The dragon's tail whips around, a bolt of dark red light just flies by you and with the wall, and you're just like. Or probably a cooler reaction, but [04:10:08] Speaker C: yeah. [04:10:09] Speaker B: So that's awesome. Phenomenal. Holy cow. That's bad guys now, right? [04:10:19] Speaker D: Yeah, it's death white. [04:10:25] Speaker B: We only have two of those. [04:10:33] Speaker C: I have to pee. [04:10:34] Speaker D: Is that the one that's by me or is that a death claw? [04:10:42] Speaker A: If it's a white little guy, another [04:10:44] Speaker B: one's gonna go after Boz Rex Bex. So, two attacks against rock, bro, what's your ac? [04:10:56] Speaker D: Well, I'm no longer concentrating on bark skin, so it's a third, unfortunately. [04:11:01] Speaker B: Okay, yeah, both are 13 or higher. One is exactly a 13. One's a little higher. [04:11:09] Speaker D: So can I use my reaction 2 to do protective wings? [04:11:16] Speaker B: Yes, you can. [04:11:17] Speaker D: Okay. [04:11:19] Speaker B: Oh, and as Ro hits a single chord, some of the illusory brass wings that were taught to her By Vilec. Protect her and glance off one of the blows. That was a great call, Jackie. Man, you've been so on top of it. That's phenomenal, dude. Okay, so that is gonna be five points of slashing plus six points of necrotic. Man, that's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Okay, Okay, okay. And then the other one's gonna try to attack boss twice. Was boss's ac. [04:12:04] Speaker D: No, his AC is. Hold on, let me check deck. Oh, it's a 13. [04:12:09] Speaker B: I got two 12. Both missed as he. As he slashes the heavy scales of the T Rex repel as it takes two. Two wide steps. Moving, moving the attacks off target. Moving fairly quickly. Now we're going to have the death whites go trying and respect everybody's time. So one's on a side of row. [04:12:33] Speaker D: Wait, I thought the death wipes just went. [04:12:36] Speaker B: Excuse me, the bone claws. Oh, okay, so one is going to attack Bozrex, which it doesn't technically have advantage. So that's gonna be two attacks, two piercing cloth. What's his ACS? [04:12:55] Speaker C: 13. [04:12:55] Speaker B: 13. Okay, I got a 13 on one and my much higher on the other. So he's gonna take. Oh shoot. 25 points of piercing from one. [04:13:10] Speaker D: Yikes. [04:13:12] Speaker B: Jeez. [04:13:13] Speaker D: 25. [04:13:14] Speaker B: 23 points. 25 and 23. So okay, 48. 48 points of piercing damage as he breaks up at the dinosaur. These massive gashes filling it. The next one's gonna attack 88 hit [04:13:28] Speaker D: points as Boz Rex. [04:13:30] Speaker B: That's great, that's really good. Next one's gonna attack ROE because it's not quite smart enough to flank that hits. Yeah, both of Those are above 20. Roe you're gonna take. [04:13:43] Speaker A: Oh no, Ro's not within 30ft of me, right? [04:13:48] Speaker B: No, she's very far. 25 plus 4 is 29 points of slashing damage or piercing damage. And row. I need you to make me a DC14.14 concentration max damage it mean. [04:14:05] Speaker D: Is that the full damage? [04:14:07] Speaker B: Yeah, well that's from the first attack, but it's two different attacks. Make sure I break it up. I know you're gonna want two. You're gonna want two con saves at lower DCs, not one. [04:14:16] Speaker D: Okay, well it. It might not matter is what I'm concerned about. Wait, no, I don't go down death. Okay, well let's see, let's see. We're close. [04:14:26] Speaker B: Make that con save. [04:14:27] Speaker D: Okay, Con save first for the first one. What's the dc14. And do I get the plus three from Craig? No, I don't, but I don't think it matters. [04:14:46] Speaker A: That's [04:14:49] Speaker D: 18. [04:14:50] Speaker B: 18 saves. Okay, okay. And then the next one is a 22 points of damage. [04:15:00] Speaker D: Okay, well, okay, she has your potion [04:15:04] Speaker B: flares, and you come back. [04:15:06] Speaker D: Yeah. [04:15:07] Speaker B: So as the slash, as the gashes move across you, blood sprays and you start to fall to a knee, but there's this burst of silvery magic, and you come back with one hit point. Give me another con save. This one's DC11. No, 22. Yeah. 11. [04:15:27] Speaker D: 14. [04:15:29] Speaker B: Another save. Oh, my goodness. By the skin of your teeth, Bard. Now the last one. One that's next to Tello. It's not gonna attack with its claws. [04:15:40] Speaker D: Oh, no. [04:15:42] Speaker B: At dim light, there it is. It is going to use Shadow Jump, and all creatures within five feet of it must make a constitution saving throw. So I need Teller to make a con saving throw. Okay, [04:16:01] Speaker C: that is a six. [04:16:14] Speaker B: The. The bone claw, where it is, just disappears in this. In this force of smoke that's like this sucking vacuum power that draws Tello inward and slams him against the wall as he uses Shadow Jump. And then it appears next to Craig, Tello is going to take five D12 plus two [04:16:40] Speaker A: up anymore. [04:16:43] Speaker B: That is going to be 22. 26. 28 points of necrotic damage. [04:16:50] Speaker C: Oh. Tell has exactly 28 points, so he is down. [04:16:58] Speaker B: And as Tello falls unconscious and we finish our second round of combat with the fungi and Rangrim in desperate straits within the belly of Blackfang warring against Shista and the dam she commands, that is where we are going to end. Episode 171 of the Accidental Adventures. Listener, life's an incredible adventure. You're an important part of it. We're very much still in the fight. We're going to take a quick break and we'll be back, which is going to be a week for you. But that's not the point. Players, take a second, okay? Take a good 10 minutes, and then we'll come back and we'll regroup and we'll get right to it. Okay? We definitely have less of this fight ahead than we had behind. [04:17:40] Speaker A: All right? [04:17:40] Speaker C: Okay. [04:17:42] Speaker D: Okay, wait.
