[00:00:09] Speaker A: Earning a little hours of sleep. I'm not playing in this one, but I stopped by to say hi and wish everybody best of luck.
You're about to fight in Daniels Christmas One Shots.
[00:00:18] Speaker C: Did you say the giraffes?
[00:00:20] Speaker D: Oh, that would be cool.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: I heard a giraffe.
[00:00:26] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:00:27] Speaker F: So we are back with Braylee dd. We are doing a. It was an old fart.
[00:00:32] Speaker B: Anyway, we're back.
[00:00:34] Speaker F: We're doing Daniel's. No, we're doing Daniel's annual Christmas One Shot. We're back with the Three Amigos. And so three of them this time. Yeah, there's actually.
[00:00:44] Speaker D: Oh, that's true.
Okay.
[00:00:46] Speaker E: Heck, yeah.
[00:00:47] Speaker F: So we're back with the Three Amigos, but before we get into any of that.
[00:00:53] Speaker A: That we're gonna sing a Christmas song.
[00:00:55] Speaker E: Yay.
[00:01:00] Speaker D: Yay.
Congrats.
That's so real bums.
[00:01:05] Speaker F: Micah was in here, but that's okay. She was like, I can't make it. And I was like, you should come.
I really want to clarify what you're not seeing, listener.
We put $5 on the table and offered a taggy buddy next to the avocado.
[00:01:23] Speaker C: How are you doing?
[00:01:23] Speaker F: You're like, I'm doing great.
[00:01:28] Speaker D: That's so exciting.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Zachary.
[00:01:29] Speaker A: Congratulations.
[00:01:31] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:01:33] Speaker F: Gonna be an uncle.
Wow.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: That is so sick, man.
[00:01:40] Speaker F: I think so.
[00:01:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:41] Speaker F: So gonna be a dad. There's gonna be a little.
[00:01:43] Speaker E: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:01:44] Speaker F: There's gonna be a little patent at some point.
[00:01:46] Speaker E: Oh, my God.
[00:01:47] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:01:48] Speaker D: Oh, July.
[00:01:51] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:01:52] Speaker F: So if I have seemed pushy lately about endgame stuff, there was a reason I was like, oh, this has to end at a point. So that's why I was very incessant on, like, Landon, you should stay. You should stay.
[00:02:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:04] Speaker F: So you are.
[00:02:05] Speaker C: Yeah. You're on recording.
[00:02:07] Speaker B: Just so you know.
[00:02:08] Speaker C: But that's okay. But that's okay. My mom is here, so there's no.
[00:02:12] Speaker F: Pressure to stay any longer.
[00:02:13] Speaker B: I just want to know.
[00:02:14] Speaker D: I thought I heard something, and I'm so excited. Congratulations.
[00:02:23] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:24] Speaker F: Crazy, crazy July. If it's a girl, we're thinking Maria Lena, and that means oops in Portuguese, so.
No, I was joking. I mean that we are thinking that name.
No.
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Zak.
[00:02:39] Speaker D: Nothing.
[00:02:40] Speaker E: Too bad.
[00:02:42] Speaker F: Zachet.
Zachary.
[00:02:45] Speaker D: Zachariah.
[00:02:54] Speaker E: Oh, my goodness. Sorry for all the Zacharias out there. Zacharia.
[00:02:57] Speaker F: Good luck in middle school.
[00:03:00] Speaker B: Daniel.
[00:03:01] Speaker E: Can I put this under my book.
[00:03:02] Speaker F: So that it supports. Can I put this In.
[00:03:05] Speaker B: Don't listen.
[00:03:06] Speaker F: I have a player sample pick.
[00:03:07] Speaker B: Yeah, you could also use my books. You name her Patty.
[00:03:13] Speaker F: My boss was named Patty.
[00:03:14] Speaker B: That's her real name.
[00:03:20] Speaker F: That's a real name.
[00:03:21] Speaker B: Nickname is Peepee. Right.
Patty Patton.
[00:03:26] Speaker F: Y' all did nothing of the sort. When me and Melanie announced. Yeah, I'm excited.
[00:03:29] Speaker E: We were pregnancy.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: I'm sorry, but no. That's so exciting. And obviously everyone here, we are here.
[00:03:34] Speaker B: For you guys and we love y'.
[00:03:35] Speaker E: All.
[00:03:36] Speaker A: Whatever y' all need.
[00:03:37] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:03:38] Speaker A: You know, keeping y' all in our prayers and understanding of anything crazy that happens.
[00:03:44] Speaker F: But it's great. So go team.
[00:03:46] Speaker C: Here we go, team.
[00:03:47] Speaker B: Go team, go.
[00:03:48] Speaker F: Beautiful adventure.
[00:03:49] Speaker C: We're going to have two barely babies.
[00:03:51] Speaker D: I know.
I'm just.
[00:03:54] Speaker A: No lie. I'm excited that Imagine is going to have a somewhat cousin around the same age.
[00:03:59] Speaker D: I know.
[00:04:00] Speaker A: I'm so sad that no, my like two of my sisters are now married. I mean, one has a reason. It's been a month, so.
[00:04:06] Speaker D: But it's much.
[00:04:10] Speaker C: How dare you.
[00:04:11] Speaker A: It's fine.
[00:04:12] Speaker B: It's fine.
[00:04:12] Speaker A: It's just the cousin experience is nice when you're like a year.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:04:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:04:16] Speaker F: I'm cool with Jordan, but it's not like us.
[00:04:18] Speaker A: 15 and 17 is a reasonable age, right?
[00:04:20] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:20] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:04:21] Speaker F: So I like, I also think we were, I was also like, oh, this works out.
[00:04:24] Speaker A: This works out great. I'm so excited.
[00:04:27] Speaker C: She turns three in June, right?
[00:04:28] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:04:29] Speaker G: So, yeah.
[00:04:29] Speaker E: So she'll be.
[00:04:30] Speaker F: She could be the cool older cousin.
[00:04:32] Speaker D: Yeah, but like, not too old.
[00:04:33] Speaker C: Yeah, not too old.
[00:04:35] Speaker G: It's not that bad.
[00:04:36] Speaker A: No, she plays with her older cousins all the time. On the Melanie side, like.
[00:04:39] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:04:39] Speaker F: Five years older than her, so.
Oh, this is the coolest thing ever.
[00:04:43] Speaker B: The best part of this trip.
[00:04:46] Speaker C: It's a birthday gift.
[00:04:47] Speaker F: Better than that.
[00:04:49] Speaker D: Somebody remembered.
[00:04:53] Speaker F: They were dice. That's candy.
[00:04:57] Speaker C: Landon thought they were candy.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: Well, you know, well, little Patty Patton.
[00:05:02] Speaker A: Whenever they, Whenever she comes to the world. Or Zacharina Jr. Zacharia.
[00:05:07] Speaker B: That's.
[00:05:07] Speaker F: That's a solid option. Zacharia.
[00:05:09] Speaker C: No, no, no, no, no. Zacharia.
[00:05:11] Speaker F: There's so many Vermont Papa's like, no.
[00:05:15] Speaker D: No one's getting Zachariah.
[00:05:16] Speaker F: I, I Anywho. So, listener, you're still there. Probably.
I guess we have to play D and D now. So, Landon, no pressure. Whenever you want to come or go. But we love you. It's good to see you.
[00:05:28] Speaker B: Absolutely.
[00:05:29] Speaker A: All right, I'm gonna step out.
[00:05:32] Speaker F: Bye.
[00:05:32] Speaker A: Because the recording's not stopping.
[00:05:33] Speaker B: Yeah. No, it's not.
[00:05:34] Speaker D: No, it's not.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: I'm Gonna call you this week.
[00:05:37] Speaker F: Yeah, yeah, we'll talk. We'll talk.
[00:05:38] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:05:39] Speaker A: It's good seeing all you guys. Thank you so much for the gifts, Jackie. She's a great gift giver and she followed my wish list quite well and she punked me.
[00:05:48] Speaker C: It's Landon. You have to punk Landon. He punks us all year round the back.
[00:05:52] Speaker D: Yeah, you're in good hands with Daniel.
[00:05:55] Speaker A: Merry Christmas, happy holidays and to all a good night. And Zach got a poop themed card.
[00:06:01] Speaker F: Game that I laughed out loud at.
[00:06:03] Speaker C: Immediately upon I got a piss of his shark.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: She did. All right, Love you, Lando.
[00:06:07] Speaker F: Bye.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: See you later. Love you so much. Bye, Landon.
[00:06:10] Speaker F: Don't worry, listener. I'll edit a bunch of that out.
[00:06:12] Speaker B: But I'm kidding now.
[00:06:14] Speaker D: It's weird.
[00:06:15] Speaker F: I'm joking, but I. Daniel as the dm. Do you want to take it away?
[00:06:22] Speaker D: Sure, sure.
[00:06:24] Speaker B: Hello, my friends.
We are back in the world of begging Run back in the winter times as well. For it is the beginning or the end of winter. But they always have a little festival at the end of it. Anyway, this one shot for people who like to take notes is going to be called Dreaming of a White Winter.
[00:06:45] Speaker E: Oh.
[00:06:48] Speaker B: Dreaming of a white Winter.
[00:06:50] Speaker G: I have so many questions. Yeah, it's so hard for me to just lock back into D and D after that.
Like I'm not. I'm not.
[00:06:58] Speaker F: We can talk at the end.
[00:06:59] Speaker G: I'm not prepared to D end.
[00:07:05] Speaker D: I.
[00:07:05] Speaker B: Think is what she said. Anyway, could we.
[00:07:07] Speaker E: Sorry.
[00:07:08] Speaker F: Could we move the map slightly and then move the mic slightly closer to.
[00:07:11] Speaker D: Abby out the stock ladder.
[00:07:13] Speaker C: Oh my God.
[00:07:14] Speaker F: Because I get the feeling that it's gonna have no problem with me and Jack.
[00:07:16] Speaker B: This is just for anyone who wants.
[00:07:18] Speaker F: To see the method.
[00:07:19] Speaker C: Can I take a picture?
[00:07:20] Speaker B: That is Meg.
[00:07:23] Speaker F: Are you a little happy right now, Abby?
[00:07:25] Speaker G: I'm so excited.
[00:07:26] Speaker F: It's really exciting when I have a.
[00:07:28] Speaker C: Big bell for your wedding.
That's true.
[00:07:33] Speaker D: April.
[00:07:35] Speaker E: I know.
[00:07:35] Speaker G: I'm sorry.
[00:07:36] Speaker F: I been having problems this weekend.
What's the time date?
[00:07:40] Speaker B: Here it is. The time is the 20th.
[00:07:44] Speaker D: I'm sorry, baby.
[00:07:46] Speaker B: Sorry. The 25th of Caldeer.
[00:07:49] Speaker F: I'm sorry, baby.
[00:07:51] Speaker B: I know Kaldir is spelled K A L D R.
I'm so sorry, babe.
[00:07:57] Speaker F: If you have to sit by Abby and Jackie, I understand. I won't be hurt.
I'm sorry, baby.
[00:08:02] Speaker B: K A l D R Kalb.
It is 324Apo.
[00:08:08] Speaker D: Are you back?
[00:08:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, so it's about a year since everything happened with the three Amigos last time they went to the village of Atrice.
Each of you has through Rodrick, our friend here who's the leader, Three Amigos, has been given this letter and y' all have traveled a long distance to get here. So on the traveling, y' all can explain your characters. Unless you would like to explain your characters inside the city. Doesn't matter to me. But you have found yourselves back meeting together as the Three Amigos. And you've been given this message from an urgent.
Let's see, probably most of you probably got a fire Genasi or an air Genasi person has been scouring the plane looking for the infamous heroes of the Three Amigos. Thanks to a widely circulated paper that has been given to all the major cities and towns and villages of the plane.
It reads as follows. It says, hello, Three Amigo. The village of ATRI requests your help once more. Thankfully, there is no more evil to be destroyed and we wish to celebrate this winter endm season with you.
Please head to our quaint village to have food, fun and friendship with a village entirely in your debt. We hope to see you then. Around the last week of Caldiir. Okay, you've been you received this letter and have trekked all once more into the cold but not too cold village of a Trice once more.
And while you are in your final day of trekking, which has probably been weeks of travel down the various straits and various rivers of the plain, or just coming down from one spot that you spent six months trying to get a dragon to take you as a rider, one of these spots since that's happened and you have all met up at the very front of about an hour's travel away from the village of Atrice, which is right next to the western lake, which had a name, but you'll probably get reminded of it when you get back to the town.
But as you are all trekking up in your winter gear, would y' all like to describe yourselves before I describe the village?
[00:10:28] Speaker E: Gladly.
[00:10:29] Speaker F: I've been pointing to. To start, Rodrick Handsome Hedge Arenak is.
He's about 3ft tall.
He's a squat, thick little dude.
He has on some very basic studded leather armors. But it's not basically the leather armor. Like it's kind of like a.
Like a bib kind of situation. Like it goes around his shoulders and over his stomach and around his hips, but he doesn't need it on his back because that's where his layer of thick quills is.
[00:11:00] Speaker B: So he doesn't really need to be.
[00:11:01] Speaker F: Guarded from that Angle. Also, dm, would you like me to be playing some music?
[00:11:04] Speaker B: Oh, you sure can if you'd like.
[00:11:06] Speaker F: What tone are you going for right now?
[00:11:08] Speaker B: Right now? Cheery and happy.
[00:11:10] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:11:12] Speaker G: I don't know if he can do cheery and happy.
[00:11:14] Speaker B: Okay, well, one of the two. I don't care.
[00:11:18] Speaker F: And I'll figure out in a second why I can't hear anything. But we'll come back to that.
So the end of my quills still have white little terminal points, so I look like I have frosted tips all over. And I have little brown or, like, black. Little beady eyes and a conical face. I carry my side a rapier, some daggers on the other side. I have a little choker around my neck that I gained in my travels. A little short bow at a side with a bunch of bolts and a sleeve, but I have a lot of baubles. I'm a fairly seasoned adventurer. I've been around Megan Grun for a while now, and I have been making my way in various travels, working with different groups.
But I've been traveling very purposefully back to Atrice to meet up again with the three amigos. Never quite sure how many are going to be there, but I'm just plodding along.
You said there's not very much snow, right?
[00:12:17] Speaker B: Not anymore.
[00:12:18] Speaker F: Okay. So it's all the way up to my slow knees because I'm so short. And I'm just, like, waddling through the snow, and I'm just humming to myself.
[00:12:27] Speaker E: There's no place, like a trice for the holidays.
[00:12:32] Speaker F: And I'm just plodding through the snow, and I have my little lute and I'm just.
And I'm just humming to myself.
And that's what I'm doing as I waddle through the snow.
[00:12:42] Speaker B: I love it.
[00:12:45] Speaker C: Okay, are we. Did you say we're together. We're all different. We're all trying to get there, right?
[00:12:52] Speaker B: You're all meeting at this point.
[00:12:54] Speaker G: That's what I thought.
[00:12:54] Speaker C: Okay, so Tencel Bell, I forgot, is back in business.
She is a goblin who has, like, maroonish skin and green hair, and she has on, like, what you would consider in our world, like a little elf outfit, kind of leather armor. It's like a deep red and greens that she's, like, tried to, like, dye leathers and all.
She has boots on and she has a rapier at her side that is red and white striped. She has a slingshot on her back and a pouch full of old gumdrops ready to go.
She has her Little jingle bells that she plays most of the time.
And she's just jingling them as she. As she goes and jingling all the way. There we go.
And she's coming from. She's coming from Astrid's Acre. Acre.
Airy. I don't know. I can't read.
And. Because the last. It's been like a year since the three Migos, you know, helped last time, and she wanted to do a stint and see if she could maybe, like, become a dragon rider or something, and that didn't work out.
She hung out there a while. Didn't work out. But she had some fun times sitting there and met a dragon and now has a tiny little blue horn on her head.
And she's just. Yeah, she's just jingling her bells all the way there.
[00:14:40] Speaker F: Just like Boz now, actually.
[00:14:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:14:43] Speaker F: I have to think about that the whole time. What I wasn't describing in the Mi Score fight was all of you fighting for your lives and Boz going.
And our last one, she whipped her.
[00:14:56] Speaker E: Head up from the paper.
[00:14:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:58] Speaker G: So Jeffrey Jeff is like. He's really tall for one. He's listener. I just want to let you know that, like, I played Jeffrey a while ago, and I just think that maybe I lost his character sheet.
So this is. This is actually.
You might think it's the same Jeffrey. It's actually Jeffrey ii.
Not a son, just different guy.
[00:15:23] Speaker E: Just a different guy.
[00:15:25] Speaker G: No relation, just a different guy.
Jeffrey's a tall tabaxi. He's gonna be, like, a blonde tabaxi.
[00:15:32] Speaker C: How did the three amigos find another Jeffrey like this?
[00:15:36] Speaker E: He's assuming it's the right one.
[00:15:38] Speaker C: Every time he gets the same one.
[00:15:40] Speaker F: We couldn't remember no moment will shake. Rodrik's unmentioned and previously unconsidered faith in the gods as much as knowing that they made two of this.
[00:15:52] Speaker G: So Jeffrey's like a tall tabaxi. I'd say he's, like, probably six one, six two, maybe six three.
He's like an orange tabby. If you were to put him with, like, a. Like a. Like a cat version, that's what he would look like. He's got, like, little blonde whiskers, little, like, little black ears. They're very rounded. They're very cute.
He's wearing, like.
Like, probably, like, leather pants. He's got a cape. He's, like, got, like, a little doll strapped to his belt. Just like his little, like, cute friend that he carries around.
He's got, you know, he's got, like, little boobs.
[00:16:33] Speaker C: It's become a performative and a male performative and a man.
[00:16:39] Speaker G: He's just like this. Okay. And he's so.
[00:16:42] Speaker D: He's just.
[00:16:43] Speaker G: He's probably, like, right now, he's probably like, sitting, like, you know, probably like, in one hand. He's got some, like, sheet music that he's reading. It's the new artist.
[00:16:55] Speaker B: Just a random.
[00:17:02] Speaker G: In your world, what would her name be?
[00:17:05] Speaker B: Probably Bara del B.
[00:17:08] Speaker G: He's. He's got, like, some.
[00:17:09] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
[00:17:10] Speaker G: He's got some Bar Del Bay sheet music that he's just. Just kind of like enjoying and appreciating sheet music. Yeah.
And then he's reading. He's got some. Some Agatha Kithrik. He's got some Agatha Kithrith in his other hand, and he's just kind of like, enjoying, like, the.
[00:17:26] Speaker B: The.
[00:17:27] Speaker G: The intellect of women right now.
Did I. Yeah, you did great.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: Thank you.
All three of these friends are an amigos, one might say are traveling into a. A village. How do you all react when you see each other?
You all kind of like, meet as you're going towards the same. I see the village in the distance, but you're all kind of like, Jeffrey.
[00:17:52] Speaker G: Like, Jeffrey walks. He sees.
[00:17:54] Speaker F: Know us, right? This is a brand new guy.
[00:17:57] Speaker G: No, no.
[00:17:58] Speaker F: Do you have any idea who we answered?
[00:18:00] Speaker C: The three amigos? Yeah, he.
[00:18:02] Speaker G: He knows what he's looking for, so he walks. He walks up to you guys. He walks straight past Tinkle, Tinsel.
[00:18:08] Speaker C: Tinsel.
Tinkle.
[00:18:12] Speaker G: He walks right past Tinsel and goes, hey, man. I'm Geoffrey. I'm assuming you're Roderick.
[00:18:17] Speaker B: What's up, man?
[00:18:19] Speaker G: I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Geoffrey.
[00:18:21] Speaker C: II Before Roderick can say anything, Tinsel runs past this man and hugs. She goes, roddy, oh, my God. It's been forever.
[00:18:34] Speaker F: And so as.
As Jeffrey past Tinsel and introduces himself, and then you run up to Roderick. I like, I. I've walked into whatever place in town, the square we're in, and I, like, put my foot up on a little rock, and I, like, put my hands on my side, and my little cape starts flowing behind me, and I'm, like, playing the tune, and.
[00:18:55] Speaker E: I'm giving, like, a smile.
[00:18:57] Speaker F: And then as you.
[00:18:58] Speaker E: As you walk up, I'm like, oh, hurt.
[00:19:00] Speaker F: And then as you say, Roddy, I.
[00:19:02] Speaker B: Go.
[00:19:04] Speaker D: Tinsel, and I, like, with the loot around my back, and I tackle.
[00:19:08] Speaker F: You to the ground and I hug you really hard, and I pick you up and I hold you by the.
[00:19:13] Speaker E: Shoulders and I go, Tinsel, I'm So sorry. I was wrong this whole time.
[00:19:19] Speaker D: What's wrong, Lottie? I'm so insecure.
Tinsel.
[00:19:23] Speaker E: I've been trying. Tinsel. I've been trying so hard to seem.
[00:19:27] Speaker D: Like a great adventurer.
[00:19:28] Speaker C: You are. You are a great adventurer.
You're the best adventurer I know.
[00:19:35] Speaker F: And I put my tiny little paws on her.
[00:19:40] Speaker E: I'm so sorry.
Our first adventure. I didn't value your companionship at all because you were so annoying and everyone else. But then I adventured with other people.
[00:19:51] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:19:52] Speaker E: And I was awful. And really. It's just that I'm not that skilled at everything I do. So I try really hard.
[00:19:58] Speaker D: That's what I try really hard to act.
[00:20:02] Speaker E: But I just really missed you.
[00:20:04] Speaker C: I missed you, too.
[00:20:05] Speaker E: Then that first Jeffrey guy. I mean, he was the worst. But when he died, falling off that boat, I was like, he died?
[00:20:12] Speaker B: I did.
[00:20:12] Speaker E: I never checked. But when he disappeared, I was just like. You know, he kind of grew on me. I've got all this time with all these people. I just.
I'm really sorry.
[00:20:23] Speaker G: Hey, man. I just wanted to say I'm so sorry about your friend that died.
Jeffrey.
[00:20:29] Speaker D: You lived.
[00:20:29] Speaker G: I'm here.
[00:20:30] Speaker C: What's.
[00:20:30] Speaker E: Jeffrey?
[00:20:32] Speaker C: Are you Jeffrey reincarnated?
[00:20:34] Speaker G: No, I'm Jeffrey. I. I. I. Actually, I don't.
[00:20:36] Speaker C: Jeffrey reincarnated? No, I'm.
[00:20:38] Speaker G: We're the same age, man. We went. We were in the same class.
[00:20:41] Speaker E: You're Jeffrey.
[00:20:41] Speaker C: You know Jeffrey.
[00:20:42] Speaker G: I know. We were just in the same class. Okay. That guy was kind of a loser. And he was kind of.
[00:20:47] Speaker C: If I. I mean, he did help save the world one time.
[00:20:50] Speaker G: Well, I mean, like a broken clock.
[00:20:54] Speaker E: Tinsel.
[00:20:55] Speaker G: Oh.
[00:20:58] Speaker E: I think this is Jeffrey. I think he hit his head. Yeah, he fell off the side of the boat. I think this is.
[00:21:05] Speaker D: Guys.
[00:21:05] Speaker G: If I'm a human guy, I have my own unique, special taste.
[00:21:10] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:21:11] Speaker G: Different than other guys.
[00:21:12] Speaker E: Jeffrey, you. Yes. And you always have.
[00:21:15] Speaker C: Tinsel leans into Ronnie, she goes. They say people suffering from amnesia like you don't. I'm not suffering from.
Play along.
[00:21:22] Speaker D: Of course, Jeffrey. Of course you're a.
[00:21:26] Speaker G: Can I make it.
Can I make an insight check?
Okay.
[00:21:30] Speaker C: Wait, do we have the.
[00:21:31] Speaker B: If y' all want, choose one of the charisma stats to make a check with.
[00:21:36] Speaker G: Can I make it with a.
Can I make it with a charisma stat?
[00:21:40] Speaker E: Oh, my goodness.
[00:21:41] Speaker B: Oh, what.
[00:21:41] Speaker F: Can I.
I would like to make a persuasion check.
[00:21:44] Speaker B: DM to figure out what they're needing.
[00:21:46] Speaker C: I'm doing persuasion as well.
[00:21:47] Speaker G: That's all right. 9 plus 2. 11.
[00:21:50] Speaker F: 11.
I'd like to make a persuasion check. And with the highest roll I have ever as a player, made in Bradley.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: D and D history.
[00:21:56] Speaker F: That's a 27.
[00:21:59] Speaker C: I rolled a 15.
[00:22:02] Speaker B: And what are y' all trying to purvey to this person?
[00:22:06] Speaker F: Well, my friend Jeffrey, who.
Friend's a strong word. I never really liked him.
[00:22:11] Speaker D: Right.
[00:22:11] Speaker F: But I'm trying to. I really actually. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I really care about tinsel. And I'm trying to. I'm trying to change, trying to reinvest in people.
[00:22:20] Speaker B: So I.
[00:22:20] Speaker F: My friend is here, and he's clearly not okay.
So I'm trying to convince him that we believe him about whatever BS he's on about.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Gotcha.
[00:22:29] Speaker F: So that's what I'm trying to convince him.
[00:22:31] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm trying to just be like. Yeah, I believe you.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: All right. So, Jeffrey with an 11.
You feel the earnestness in their voices.
[00:22:39] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:22:40] Speaker B: The reassurances of every word that they say.
[00:22:44] Speaker D: You feel kind of hurt.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: At this moment, I turn my head.
[00:22:48] Speaker F: So that in my tiny, beady, little black eyes, the sunlight catches a little bit, and I put just the tiniest.
[00:22:52] Speaker E: Little hand on his knee, and I go, we believe you, buddy.
[00:22:56] Speaker G: Wow. I just, like, really want to say that I, like, really appreciate. I think.
I think that I just appreciate how heard and seen I'm feeling. And I just feel like I me don't feel that a lot. And it's a problem, specifically for me, that I don't feel heard and seen. But you guys are. Are really making me feel heard and seen right now.
[00:23:20] Speaker F: Halfway through Jeffrey talking, I get bored and just start looking somewhere else. But I'm trying to change, so I remember and look back at him and go back to listening.
[00:23:29] Speaker C: Okay. Well, yeah, sure. I guess you got the letter, too.
[00:23:33] Speaker G: Yeah. Okay.
[00:23:35] Speaker C: And Roddy, look. And she points at her head.
[00:23:39] Speaker E: Oh, no Tinsel. We'll get you to a doctor right away.
[00:23:42] Speaker C: No. You know how I wanted to be, like, a dragon rider and it didn't work out?
[00:23:46] Speaker E: No. But if I'm being really honest, I might have spent the first couple years not listening to you very much.
[00:23:51] Speaker C: Yeah, well, you know, I never really told anyone, but I. I went there and I tried. It didn't work. I sat there for, like, months and months, and no one would pay attention to me. But then this really nice, like, big, blue dragon. He was really cool. He was like, if you leave now, I'll give you a little parting gift. I mean, he didn't say it in those words, but you know, I caught on. So now I can do some cool stuff. Like maybe. I don't know. I haven't really tried it yet. It's like dragon magic.
[00:24:19] Speaker E: It's got a horn in your forehead.
[00:24:20] Speaker C: Yeah. It's little.
[00:24:21] Speaker B: It's little.
[00:24:22] Speaker C: It's tasteful. Right?
[00:24:23] Speaker E: Can I poke it?
[00:24:23] Speaker D: Sure.
[00:24:24] Speaker E: I poke it.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: It's dragon scale.
So.
[00:24:28] Speaker E: Wow.
[00:24:28] Speaker B: Extremely cold at the moment.
[00:24:30] Speaker E: You look really distinguished.
[00:24:32] Speaker C: Thank you.
[00:24:33] Speaker E: Weird but distinct.
[00:24:35] Speaker C: Well, you know, I am a. You know, I'm a. I'm a holiday goblin. You know. What are you going to do man?
[00:24:42] Speaker E: We've all. We've all really self actualized here.
We've made a lot of progress as people.
[00:24:46] Speaker G: I also feel self actualized.
[00:24:49] Speaker C: Yep. Yeah.
[00:24:51] Speaker F: Remember the guy who put the rings on his toes?
[00:24:53] Speaker E: What happened here?
[00:24:55] Speaker B: As you continue on, you enter into a quiet and quaint village. The houses are bare for some of your trek up the village main path but they seem to be filling in quite nicely from the last time you were here. Last time it felt like a dead city. Basically just a husk of what people used to live in.
But now a gentle breeze with quite cold air brushes past you, gives you a little shiver, but nothing too cold as the last time you were here. As you think back at the terrible demon and the fae that were interacting in such ways with the town that perpetuated an everlasting winter. So you're glad that it is not like that anymore. It seems just the right amount of cold.
As you near the center of the village, you begin to see differences in between how the town used to be and it is nowadays. Many of the houses on the outskirts of the town are bare, stripped of parts. While the houses on the interior are more lived in with a new piecemeal parts to them.
The people are no longer scrawny. As you take in some of these people and for the first time you get to actually see what some of these people looked like. Last time you were here it was so freezing cold, right. That everyone was in about seven layers. And so you saw people, images, ideas of what people should look around.
[00:26:13] Speaker F: The silhouettes.
[00:26:13] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:26:14] Speaker B: But you didn't see people. And this time you're seeing that these people are the genasis.
And so all four of the genasis are here. The air genasis, the fire genasis, earth genasis and the water genasis are all congregating not in a huge mass but.
[00:26:30] Speaker D: In a little way.
[00:26:32] Speaker B: They look upon you with delight and joy as some see you are running more into the Middle of the village, exclaiming. You can hear the shouts of joy and the excitement of kids, along with some adults that are trying to communicate that heroes have arrived once more in.
[00:26:48] Speaker F: This moment that I.
Rodrick's having a real moment here because one, he just admitted to Tinsel how he really feels, so he feels greatly liberated. And then two, he's wanted to be recognized as a hero his whole life and no one ever has. So he's just. He's got tears in his eyes running down like they run backward, down his face, down the fur.
[00:27:10] Speaker E: And he's just like, it's us. Yes, the Three Amigos. We're very heroic. I'm so handsome.
[00:27:19] Speaker F: And he's just waving to everybody.
[00:27:21] Speaker B: And there are children and other people.
[00:27:24] Speaker F: Who are just like.
[00:27:25] Speaker B: And they, like, you know, if you've been in a parade and the excitement of just looking and waving your hand at people that are supposed to be, you know, famous, the smile is so exciting.
[00:27:33] Speaker F: The smile that Nacho gives Incarnacion. At the end of Nacho Libre, I just turn and do that to Tinsel. I'm just like.
[00:27:42] Speaker C: And Tinsel's like, let it out, Roddy. Let it out and just pats him and she waves at the kids.
[00:27:52] Speaker B: As you continue on, the houses get more and more decorated as you see much more specific decorations being revealed as you get closer ones of hearth and home. You see little family paper mache people all in little things. You see some cool crafted metal and. Or other things that have been burned to look either like rings or like family gatherings or even a cauldron of some sort of. And just. It looks like the. The time of decorations has been celebrated a lot more now with the excitement of the new people coming.
You also see variations of three in a lot of the things. Like lots of the families are three of a kind. Even if there might be more family members, it just looks like there's a.
[00:28:38] Speaker F: That's how they're representing themselves.
[00:28:39] Speaker B: Yeah, there's a theme around it.
Finally, a woman approaches you in her late 40s. It seems she looks familiar to you from years ago. She has navy skin that looks like the texture of water that is stiff in the freezing conditions right now. Her hair is a dark turquoise and her eyes are black. She's bundled up in all types of warm apparel. She stands about four'11, but she seems to stand straighter and hold her head higher than most in the town.
She comes up to you and she's.
[00:29:03] Speaker D: Like, the Three Amigos. The Three Amigos.
[00:29:07] Speaker B: And she comes and she does that jittery hopping walk as she comes and wraps her arms around you. And she is freezing. Like, even though she is warmed up by all these things. It's like a person who has really bad circulation in their hands. They're always cold. That's, like all of her embrace. Oh. And she comes over and she just. No matter.
[00:29:26] Speaker E: Yes. We're.
[00:29:30] Speaker F: I like to get out of her hug. I, like, pull into a ball the way hedgehogs do. Roll a little bit and, like, pop up in a little slip.
[00:29:37] Speaker E: And I'm like, yes, it's the three amigos.
[00:29:39] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:29:40] Speaker D: Yes.
[00:29:40] Speaker B: And she, like, counts you.
[00:29:41] Speaker D: And she's like, oh, there's only three.
[00:29:43] Speaker B: Of you this time.
[00:29:44] Speaker C: Yeah, there's actually three. It actually works this time. I know.
[00:29:47] Speaker E: I mean, can you name any of the others?
[00:29:50] Speaker D: Oh, yes, yes, yes, of course. Well, there's Jeffrey. There's Roderick. There's Tinsel.
[00:29:55] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:29:59] Speaker D: The curmudgeony old man.
[00:30:01] Speaker C: They're on holiday right now.
[00:30:02] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:30:03] Speaker C: Well done.
[00:30:03] Speaker D: We wanted to help them.
[00:30:05] Speaker B: We have some very exciting decorations to show you all.
[00:30:07] Speaker C: It looks lovely.
[00:30:08] Speaker D: Let me get conchabar.
[00:30:09] Speaker B: Let me get conchaba. And she just, like, you know, from this very nice playful tone just into a contrabar. They're here just completely yelling across the room, mom. When she's not on the phone.
And you see a few minutes later, an older man appearing. Two minutes later, he's not a fast man.
She talks to you in the meantime.
[00:30:32] Speaker D: Being like, where have you been? It's so good to see you.
[00:30:35] Speaker B: I. And she, like, pulls out this worn scroll and she puts it out, and.
[00:30:40] Speaker D: She'S like, in Megan, grandmother.
[00:30:43] Speaker B: And she, like, you see, like, this paper has been almost destroyed in the amount of use that she's gotten out of it. And, like, she's underlined the excitement of it.
[00:30:52] Speaker D: And she's like, I got my daughter to write you a very nice article for the paper. It's.
[00:30:56] Speaker B: It should be live there.
[00:30:57] Speaker D: I hope you've seen it.
[00:30:59] Speaker B: And she's just gushing about that. And so in those few minutes, though, an older man in his 50s as you appear and remember the much more stern and much less happy to see you last time Conchabar come up to you. He's an earth genasi in his mid-50s. He is filling out much better than the last time the heroes came to the village. But it's still quite gaunt in many ways. His skin is rough like stone upon the cliffs of the sea. He is tanned ever so slightly and stands only 5 9. He wears fisherman's pants with a vest and lures that are helpful or other helpful instruments for fishing with no other layers on.
It's a man who's deathly afraid of wearing a jacket.
And he's just come up to you and he's like, oh, the three of me. And he, like, looks at. He's like, there's only three.
[00:31:48] Speaker D: You can count this time. Hey, we've all grown since the last time, right?
[00:31:53] Speaker E: I let go of the rope. We don't talk about it.
[00:31:56] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Okay.
[00:31:58] Speaker F: And I smolder off into the sunset.
[00:32:01] Speaker C: Anyway, you see, Contrabor.
[00:32:02] Speaker B: Give this weird look to the lady, and he's just like.
And he, like, puts out his hands to see. To shake it, each of you. And he's like, we're so glad to have you come. Yes, this is a trice. It has been growing much better since.
[00:32:15] Speaker E: The last time I've seen it.
[00:32:16] Speaker B: Yes, the perpetual winter really soured our moods.
[00:32:19] Speaker D: But not anymore.
[00:32:21] Speaker B: At least not without trying.
How have you been? It has been a year.
Oh, we've been to the plane.
[00:32:29] Speaker E: We've been great. Definitely not failing at the majority of tasks. We tried. No. Really good.
[00:32:34] Speaker C: Yeah, we don't. We don't fail.
No.
[00:32:37] Speaker E: A lot of success.
[00:32:37] Speaker B: Yeah, a lot of success.
[00:32:40] Speaker C: I do now. Yeah.
[00:32:42] Speaker D: Is it an infection?
[00:32:44] Speaker C: No, no, no.
[00:32:45] Speaker B: I have a cousin who's gotten some infections.
[00:32:47] Speaker F: Like.
[00:32:47] Speaker C: Oh, he may want to get that checked out. This is. This is. This is.
[00:32:52] Speaker B: This is self expression.
[00:32:54] Speaker C: Yeah. It's not.
[00:32:56] Speaker E: It's a fashion statement.
[00:32:57] Speaker C: Yeah. It's like.
[00:32:57] Speaker B: It's.
[00:32:58] Speaker C: It's magic. Oh.
[00:33:00] Speaker B: He, like, looks to his wife and he says, beetha. Is this like what Wesalia is talking about? Self expression and all that? Oh, my goodness, she's so weird.
And then you've seen things that just punch the living crap out of contrabar.
[00:33:14] Speaker D: He's like, oh, oh, I'm Jeffrey.
[00:33:16] Speaker G: I'm actually a different guy from last time. My name is Jeffrey II No, I mean, I like, look different and I like. I have this, like. This is my little doll.
[00:33:27] Speaker C: I like creed. It's okay.
[00:33:29] Speaker E: You know what I mean?
[00:33:30] Speaker G: I like. I'm a different.
[00:33:32] Speaker F: I scoot around behind Jeffrey so that I'm in Kanjabar's view, and I just.
[00:33:36] Speaker E: Look at him and I just go.
[00:33:38] Speaker F: I motion, like, play along.
[00:33:40] Speaker B: Okay, well, we're glad that your. The other guy is gonna be glad.
[00:33:45] Speaker G: To be here for the first time that I've never been here. Well, yeah. See, that guy doesn't even look like me. I think I'm a lot taller.
[00:33:51] Speaker F: I'm behind Jeffrey doing like a little like playing out, like falling out of a boat and hitting your head on a rock.
[00:33:56] Speaker B: Oh, no, like, nod. Kurt's nods curtly to meet you and he's like, well, we're excited to celebrate winter infus with you.
[00:34:06] Speaker E: We're glad to be back.
[00:34:08] Speaker B: Many families who love to enjoy some time together with you. And if you're staying all week.
And at this moment, the sound of whatever he says next gets drowned out by laughter of children far off as children wail in laughter as you see a chance train of about 30 kids. Oh, 30, 30.
Name and missy.
A mixture of earth, fire, water and earth, fire, water, air Genasis. And they all are congregating around four one water Genasi and then three other non Genasi people, the first ones you've ever seen in this town.
And you're like, I don't remember those people.
[00:34:57] Speaker E: I don't remember those people.
[00:34:59] Speaker B: They're new to me.
[00:35:02] Speaker C: Don't be rude.
[00:35:03] Speaker E: Please don't remember them.
[00:35:04] Speaker C: We may not have met everybody who lives here. I mean, we met a lot of.
[00:35:08] Speaker E: People, but I honestly don't.
[00:35:11] Speaker B: You see a water Genasi with hair that looks like stagnant water with highlights of silver and white, which is tied tightly around her head, creating a river design all the way down. Oh, cool. She stands 5 11, but stoops low like a willow tree. She wears a black blouse, crimson skirt, a heavy coat that is brown and thick with a scarf of vibrant red that is all but covering her face.
Across her shoulder there's a worn satchel made of dark leather, weathered in certain places from compulsive stroking or fidgeting.
Beside her is a gnome that stands at the perfect height of her stooping. He wears worn adventuring gear with a heavy coat, pants and boots. He has a scar across his face and eyes of fatigue mixed with kindness. He is gathering the attention of children while the water Genasi leads the way. And then two other gnomes seem to be herding them from the back that you can't really see very well at the moment. But they all seem to be going off into like the western district of the town, as if they're going to do something. And Beatha pipes up here and she.
[00:36:09] Speaker D: Says, oh, you should meet Wassailia and her new honk stieg.
[00:36:16] Speaker B: He's. He's such a strong man.
And she like, you see her just.
[00:36:20] Speaker D: Like fan herself a little bit, okay?
[00:36:24] Speaker B: And you see contrabar, kind of like ruffle in his vest and his arms, but she's like, he's such a nice guy. He's such a good lad. Sure.
[00:36:32] Speaker D: But, you know, we're having a celebration all week. You know, we have three types of celebrations.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: One of them is going to be a retelling of the heroes of a trice.
[00:36:44] Speaker D: It's a whole play.
[00:36:45] Speaker C: Get on after.
[00:36:46] Speaker B: Dude.
[00:36:48] Speaker E: No, they do okay.
[00:36:49] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:36:50] Speaker B: Wasalia, she's gonna be the one who's writing the scripts.
[00:36:53] Speaker E: Oh, that's excellent.
[00:36:54] Speaker B: And you see this next in a bit of contempt, as she says.
[00:36:58] Speaker D: And his family who hasn't left are helping. And so we're just so glad. I mean, they could probably use some.
[00:37:08] Speaker B: Good help, you know, with.
[00:37:10] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I would love help with the casting.
[00:37:13] Speaker B: Oh, Wasali would love that. You know, she's very good with words, but not with people. And so, yeah, I met several people like that.
[00:37:23] Speaker C: And she looks over at the other amigos.
[00:37:27] Speaker E: I'm just smiling and I go, we're great with people.
[00:37:30] Speaker D: That's good.
[00:37:31] Speaker B: And you see Contrabar kind of like pushes in at this point.
[00:37:33] Speaker D: He's like, oh, oh, oh.
[00:37:35] Speaker B: We're gathering. And he, like, they're leading you more into the. Sure, sure.
[00:37:38] Speaker F: We're just following them, right?
[00:37:39] Speaker B: And yeah, there's people coming up to you and they're just shaking your hands and they're, like, giving you this, like, intense amount of information. Like, I'm you. You.
[00:37:47] Speaker D: You saved my wife from being sacrificed the next year. We're so happy, too.
[00:37:51] Speaker B: And just, like, over.
[00:37:52] Speaker F: As a compulsive extrovert, I'm feeding off.
[00:37:55] Speaker B: Of all of it.
[00:37:55] Speaker F: And I'm like, shaking every hand. Someone with a child, I just kiss its forehead. Like they've asked me to kiss the baby.
[00:38:01] Speaker E: No permission.
[00:38:02] Speaker F: I pull out a quill and I'm just signing things, whether or not they can be signed. An arm, part of clothing.
[00:38:09] Speaker E: And I'm just like, all on a day. Good work.
[00:38:12] Speaker C: Citizen Tinsel is like, if you've seen.
If you've seen Wicked. Like, she's kind of giving Glinda with her jingle bells. She's like, like, just like. Like jingling them around like a wand. Almost just like kind of like showering people with jingle bell tones and all.
[00:38:30] Speaker G: Like, Jeffrey's like, pretending. He's like. He's like, a little confused because he's like, these people seem to think that.
So he's like, no one can recognize.
[00:38:39] Speaker F: He's a different person.
[00:38:41] Speaker G: He's like, actually, that's not me. Actually, I'm a new guy. But, like, also by, like, also trying to like act like unconcerned and he's like, he's like paying a lot of attention to like dudes that look cool or girls that look his age.
So anytime someone walks by that is one of those two people, he's like, he's like, he's, he's like over here. Like that's not, that's not me, bro. Like I'm a different, like different guy. And then when one of those two people walks by, he's like, he's like looks in his face or like, like pulls his book out of his pocket and like reads it or starts like whistling a Bona Del Bay song.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: And yeah, you are getting mixed signals.
[00:39:20] Speaker E: From everyone that is interacting with you.
[00:39:23] Speaker B: But everyone else is kind of like reveling in the excitement of long awaited heroes of the town.
Contrabar though, continues on. And he points to like an unfinished statue that is facing the lake. There's like a little lane that goes down and it's just a frozen beautiful lake right now.
Okay. What a frozen beautiful lake. And they say, well we named it lake friends in honor of our saviors.
[00:39:51] Speaker D: Oh my God, I'm gonna cry.
[00:39:54] Speaker B: And well, and he looks at all the wood and he's like we, we've been trying to gather enough wood for the earth Genasi to form statues of each of Yalls likenesses. You know, we have.
Well like he's about to like try to remember stuff and he just like grabs a piece of paper and he's like oh yeah, yeah, he said a festive female goblin named Tinsel Bell.
And he like looks at Jeffrey for a second and then he says a know it all Tabaxi named Jeffrey.
[00:40:24] Speaker G: Well, I wouldn't call myself a know it all.
[00:40:29] Speaker B: A scamming human rogue named Cliff Cratchit.
[00:40:32] Speaker E: He was. We really should have never hired him.
[00:40:34] Speaker B: A gallant hedgehog named Roderick and a blue jay Aarocaker known as Astra.
[00:40:41] Speaker E: Again, I. I let go of the rope. I'm really sorry about that. She's probably all right.
[00:40:45] Speaker C: She's on holiday.
[00:40:46] Speaker B: Does she.
[00:40:46] Speaker E: No, no, no.
[00:40:47] Speaker B: She can fly. All birds can fly. Right?
[00:40:49] Speaker E: The rope wasn't.
She's probably fine. She's just lost.
[00:40:55] Speaker B: We're building a statue in your honor and we might need a little bit of help with getting some materials and.
[00:41:03] Speaker E: Absolutely.
[00:41:04] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, that could be. Maybe something you could help with. And like both Beetha and Contrabar at this moment seem to be trying to get you to do one of those tasks. Sure.
But either way they're just so excited to have you? They talk also talks to you about how, like, there's a new way of showing excitement and one that you've been noticing more and more as everyone almost has, like, an assortment of rings on their fingers made out of different things, from twigs for the earth genasis to, like, a molten fiery metal for the fire genasis.
A weird amount of seaweed for the water genasis. And then, like, there's an eclectic array of whatever the air genasis are trying to put around their fingers to stay, but they all seem to be wearing. And she's like, you know, in the story, the binding of the rings and how you destroyed the demon sand, exactly how it happened.
We wear them in honor of remembering those who've fallen before us. And also the stakes that it took.
[00:42:05] Speaker C: Well, I still wear mine. And she holds her. She holds her hand out with her four fake golden rings. And she replaced one of the. One of the. The fifth fake golden ring with the. The real one that she got when they did that. She's like, see?
[00:42:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:42:21] Speaker E: Nobody's been putting them on their toes right now.
[00:42:24] Speaker F: They all.
[00:42:24] Speaker B: He looks at you and he's like, that's not where rings go.
[00:42:27] Speaker C: Exactly.
[00:42:28] Speaker E: Right. That's what I said.
[00:42:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:30] Speaker E: That Cliff guy was a vibe hire. But, oh.
[00:42:34] Speaker B: Like, you see Kotrabar, visually, look at it. You see that Cliff's is probably the one that's most finished because it's.
[00:42:41] Speaker F: And he was like, gab.
[00:42:47] Speaker D: Daniel. That's really funny.
[00:42:50] Speaker B: As they continue.
But in this, they say, please help yourself. But, you know, whichever two you'd like to do, certainly.
[00:42:59] Speaker E: Let us know.
[00:42:59] Speaker B: Let us know.
[00:43:00] Speaker E: We'll take a look at it.
Thank you, Conch. Oh, where could we get a drink around here?
[00:43:06] Speaker B: And they all are like, oh, stop at any of the families around here. We're all serving a new drink made out of water. And like, that's good.
[00:43:17] Speaker E: It's a good story.
[00:43:18] Speaker B: You see, Contrabar's just lost whatever his thought was.
[00:43:22] Speaker E: I'll go ask. No problem.
[00:43:24] Speaker B: Ethan comes up and she's like, wassail, Wassail. We're serving wassail.
[00:43:28] Speaker E: Understood?
[00:43:29] Speaker B: Wassel oranges and stuff like that.
[00:43:30] Speaker C: Sounds great.
[00:43:31] Speaker B: A bitter taste, but it reminds you of the death.
As she and Katabar kind of like link arm in arm and they continue on their way.
But there's no known tavern in this place. It seems like everyone's kind of just like letting people into their homes and.
[00:43:47] Speaker F: Everybody'S moonshine in it.
[00:43:48] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah.
[00:43:49] Speaker F: Everybody's homebrew.
[00:43:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:43:54] Speaker F: I The face, Abby just gave me excitement.
[00:43:58] Speaker B: That's what it was.
[00:43:59] Speaker F: I. I soak in the hero worship as long as, like, I spent a.
[00:44:04] Speaker B: Good hour on it. Every.
[00:44:06] Speaker F: Every citizen who wants to talk to me, I talk to them. I. I give the full story two or three times. At one point, when a bunch of kids come up, I lean down and.
[00:44:14] Speaker E: I go, remember, always meet your heroes.
[00:44:17] Speaker F: And I. And I just, like, I so happy about everything. I find a couple, like, I find like, like, like fletching from a bolt that's ruined.
[00:44:25] Speaker E: And I was like, I used this to kill a troll.
[00:44:28] Speaker F: It's not true, but I just give it to some kid and cherish it always.
[00:44:32] Speaker E: It'll be worth more than all your other professional accomplishments.
[00:44:38] Speaker B: And then, like, a few minutes later, you see just violence happening as they're fighting.
[00:44:43] Speaker E: I'm just going, ha, ha ha, kids.
[00:44:47] Speaker F: I.
At some point when it's exhausted, you know, when there's no one left to fawn over me, I go, well, what.
[00:44:55] Speaker E: Do you guys want to do?
[00:44:56] Speaker F: I don't.
[00:44:57] Speaker E: I don't really have any.
[00:44:58] Speaker C: Well, I think they want to help with something, so.
[00:45:00] Speaker E: Yeah. Did you want to get stuff for the statues or do you want to go to a play about us?
[00:45:05] Speaker C: Yeah, well, yeah, I don't. I mean, I feel like we should help, like, if they're building a statue about us with the play.
[00:45:14] Speaker G: I'm really, like, into the art, so I'd love to go see a play. Also seen, like, a lot of plays.
[00:45:19] Speaker E: See, Jaffle's making sense.
[00:45:21] Speaker C: I go to.
[00:45:21] Speaker G: I go to art a lot, so maybe. Okay, so I can go either way. I like art, but I've also.
[00:45:27] Speaker B: Jeffrey, could you give me a perception check? As you are talking like this.
[00:45:30] Speaker F: As you are talking.
[00:45:31] Speaker G: As you are talking like this.
Perfect.
That will be a seven.
[00:45:42] Speaker B: You. You caught out a glimpse of your eyes.
[00:45:45] Speaker F: Just a few.
[00:45:47] Speaker B: Water Genasi ladies listening in.
They were around your age.
[00:45:52] Speaker G: Yes. I definitely wasn't.
[00:45:54] Speaker B: Yeah, as you were seeing it.
You see, you see just. You just looked over just out of time as you see them walking away from you. And you were like, my moment. I missed it.
[00:46:06] Speaker G: I started saying a little louder. I see. Yeah. No, I just really like art, and I know a lot about it.
So I could. I would like to see the play, but maybe also I don't need to because I've seen a lot and, you.
[00:46:18] Speaker B: Know, can you give me whichever charisma check you think Jeffrey should be giving at this moment?
[00:46:26] Speaker G: Do persuasion. Because to be honest, that's. That's awful. But that's what he's trying to do.
[00:46:31] Speaker B: He's truly very strange.
[00:46:32] Speaker F: Also, he probably believes it about himself.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:46:35] Speaker E: Just a wee bit too much. Really thinks it. Even if it's deception.
[00:46:38] Speaker B: What did you get?
[00:46:41] Speaker G: I got a 10.
[00:46:41] Speaker B: 10?
[00:46:43] Speaker G: I did not mean to write a 10 there. I do not have a 10.
[00:46:45] Speaker F: She just gave herself a 10 modif.
[00:46:46] Speaker B: 10 modifier.
[00:46:48] Speaker G: Can I have an eraser?
[00:46:50] Speaker F: You don't.
[00:46:50] Speaker B: You have.
[00:46:51] Speaker G: Okay, there's seeds in it.
[00:46:53] Speaker B: Oh, Abby.
[00:46:54] Speaker G: Like, it's seeds.
[00:46:55] Speaker E: Oh.
[00:46:56] Speaker B: Well, why.
[00:46:56] Speaker F: Why put an eraser at the end of a pencil when you could put seeds there?
[00:47:00] Speaker B: You reckon that you didn't talk loud enough. And so they.
Yeah, that's what you tell yourself.
[00:47:07] Speaker D: That's.
[00:47:07] Speaker F: That's got real happier and with your mouth more open.
Oh, that's not an eraser.
[00:47:13] Speaker G: Oh. Why would you put a stylus at the end instead of a.
[00:47:16] Speaker F: Because it's a freaking pen, dude.
[00:47:19] Speaker B: I didn't bring my bag of pencil.
[00:47:20] Speaker D: I found it.
[00:47:21] Speaker G: I found a fake eraser. It's. No, I. Sorry.
[00:47:24] Speaker B: A fake eraser.
[00:47:24] Speaker C: Sorry.
[00:47:25] Speaker B: That's rough.
[00:47:26] Speaker G: Found an eraser, but it's a lie.
[00:47:27] Speaker F: Guys, I'm so sorry.
[00:47:29] Speaker B: It's the nub of erase.
[00:47:31] Speaker G: That's a good way to say that. Yeah.
[00:47:33] Speaker C: They're really bad. I can smell them over here.
[00:47:36] Speaker F: It's been a rough weekend.
[00:47:39] Speaker B: Do you remember.
[00:47:40] Speaker D: Do you remember on Friday when we.
[00:47:42] Speaker F: Were playing and I had to run away? Okay, well, this morning I was at church and we were in service and.
[00:47:46] Speaker E: I went dashed out of the sanctuary.
[00:47:50] Speaker F: It's been a weekend, guys. I had lettuce twice today. I don't know what's.
[00:47:54] Speaker C: Don't have lettuce twice.
[00:47:56] Speaker F: No, no, that combats it.
[00:47:57] Speaker B: It makes it better.
[00:47:58] Speaker C: Oh, not for me. Once I eat lettuce times, not twice.
[00:48:01] Speaker F: No, lettuce makes it better.
[00:48:03] Speaker C: Okay, Sorry.
[00:48:04] Speaker B: Sorry. Daniel Roderick just starts pontificating about lettuce.
[00:48:11] Speaker E: And how he's used it so much, he's like, man, I thought it was good for my internal digestion. I'm a hedgehog. You'd think.
[00:48:18] Speaker C: I mean, okay. I mean, fine. You got two against one. Three amigos. I'll go see a play. I don't care.
[00:48:25] Speaker E: Man, it would have been so good if there was three of us all this time.
It was Astra's first idea.
[00:48:31] Speaker F: And I. I. We walk off to wherever they're setting up the place.
[00:48:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:48:35] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:48:35] Speaker B: As you walk that way again, there's. Everyone's kind of been excited, but it seemed like everyone's kind of like in the midst of their excitement, going and like telling each other about it and like telling like you see some people who are like, excited to say, oh.
[00:48:49] Speaker D: He shook my hand, he shook my hand.
[00:48:51] Speaker B: You know, stuff like that. Just really excited to have heroes. People who truly saved their village from utter death.
As you walk towards an abandoned old.
Probably used to be like a meeting town hall when there was enough people.
[00:49:07] Speaker D: To have enough for a meeting town hall.
[00:49:10] Speaker B: And it's just dilapidated a lot of ways. There's holes all the way through it. There's snow that's piling up in different ways. As you definitely hear the 30 children that are so scary. Just a den of constant noise.
[00:49:25] Speaker F: Has someone with two class periods, 30 teenagers in it. Yeah.
[00:49:28] Speaker G: Yeah.
[00:49:28] Speaker B: Okay. Yes.
[00:49:29] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:49:30] Speaker G: Sticky loud, scary. Sticky loud scary.
[00:49:34] Speaker B: As you walk into that exact situation of a sticky, loud and scary place and you see just guys.
[00:49:41] Speaker G: I didn't know that there were gonna be that many kids at this play. I like adult art, actually.
[00:49:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:48] Speaker F: There's nothing I love more than Abby producing a line and then getting so, so disgusted with herself. She just said what she said and then had to put her own head down cuz she hated it so much. That's amazing.
It's like my farts, but out of your mouth.
[00:50:05] Speaker B: It's like fart, mouth, mouth, fart is what that.
[00:50:10] Speaker C: That's getting rid of. If you like my fart, get out of your mouth.
[00:50:14] Speaker D: Abby's. Abby's whole head is pink right now.
[00:50:17] Speaker F: She's laughing so hard.
[00:50:19] Speaker D: Oh, man.
Out of your mouth.
[00:50:26] Speaker F: Sorry. DM Sorry.
[00:50:29] Speaker B: There seems to be three distinct areas.
One is with the majority of children, it's what you saw pointed out to you, Wasalia and Steve. So it was a water Genasi and a gnome. And they seem to be trying to corral about 15 of the children right now. And they're trying to like, help, like, practice lines. You see Wasalia getting like.
[00:50:53] Speaker D: It's a children's play.
[00:50:55] Speaker E: Children's play.
[00:50:56] Speaker F: Oh, no.
[00:50:58] Speaker B: It's gonna be awful.
[00:50:59] Speaker G: That's what I'm saying. That's what I was just saying.
[00:51:02] Speaker E: What were you saying, Jeffrey?
[00:51:03] Speaker G: I was saying this is gonna be awful.
[00:51:06] Speaker F: I'm trying. And now I've had years to reflect and grow and change. I'm trying to listen to Jeffrey. Like I'm looking at him as we walk, but every time he starts talking, it just goes like, in my ear. But I'm like, I think it'd be.
[00:51:19] Speaker B: More of a womp.
[00:51:22] Speaker F: And every once in a while I say, huh? At like, the wrong time. Like, he's in the middle of talking.
[00:51:26] Speaker E: I'm like, yeah.
Oh, oh.
[00:51:30] Speaker B: You see in the distance, someone trying to grab different pieces and, like, help make what used to probably be the place where like, the meeting people would stand on a stage and talk to people and get everyone's attention, which has been broken in and broken in various different ways. And he's trying to find pieces to probably rebuild that stage. And then off in the corner, you just hear every once in a while.
As you just see a man covered in a bunch of, of clothing, of various materials. And just at the top of it, this gnome just with like a tiny little, little needle.
[00:52:12] Speaker D: To most of you, it's about the.
[00:52:14] Speaker B: Half of his finger as he just keeps poking his own finger and just, you see a little like.
And just continues as if he's trying to sew together costumes for this play.
These are the three areas you can interact with. Which one are you looking to go to first? The one with the most kids is the two.
There are two gnomes doing the other ones. There's the gnome that has, like, rebuilding the stage, has a few children that are trying to help and find things, but really it's just a bunch of kids running around and throwing things at each other. Right. Which is just chaos. And that gnome is just not having any of it. You hear every once in a while that gnome saying, oh, guys, we should probably. Oh, okay, I head to that one.
[00:52:56] Speaker D: Whatever you want and whatcha. Yeah, okay.
[00:52:59] Speaker G: I go to one Sewing.
[00:53:01] Speaker B: Sewing.
[00:53:01] Speaker C: Yeah. And I go to the other one with all the kid wrangling the kids.
[00:53:04] Speaker B: Hell yeah.
[00:53:05] Speaker F: I really love this motif that every time we play the Three Three amigos, we split up at some point.
[00:53:09] Speaker D: It's kind of fun.
[00:53:11] Speaker B: So I'll go with Zach first, then Abby, then Jackie. So Zach, as you head over to the stage, you see a wild gnome man who is dressed with Claire. Oh, well, I switched this one up.
It would make more sense if it's the other one. Hold on, hold on. Let me change the names. Sure.
So sorry.
Let me, let me change. I I We're doing an audible here, friends. I just a man of distinctness and constant changing of plans. You're a dork.
Okay?
[00:53:53] Speaker E: You're a dork.
[00:53:56] Speaker F: Do you not know how to flip a coin?
[00:53:57] Speaker B: You see a quite cheery and little jovial little gnome.
He talks rather quickly and always with seeing the best in those around him, as the admonishes of the people are.
[00:54:09] Speaker D: Like, oh, you really should stop that. That's gonna hurt you real bad. Oh. Oh, you just threw it in his face. Oh, yeah, he's crying now.
[00:54:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:54:16] Speaker D: Do you see why you were doing that?
[00:54:18] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, I understand. Yeah.
[00:54:21] Speaker D: Well, if you don't. Oh, okay.
[00:54:23] Speaker B: And just like, lots of that over and over and over again. And he's like, I'm just gonna go.
[00:54:28] Speaker D: Look over here real quick.
[00:54:30] Speaker B: He has a rather bulbous nose and carrying old eyes. Carrying old eyes. He wears.
He wears normal layers of clothing and helps anyone in need with any questions they might have. And he's just picking up small amounts of wood, looking at it, looking at it, like, trying to hit it against the wall. And like, there's one kid out of all the, like, probably 12 kids that are around him that is actually helping him. You see him, like, arms out. It's an Earth Genasi boy. And he's just like, okay, yes, yes, Mr. Carry. Okay.
[00:55:04] Speaker D: Oh, thank you.
[00:55:05] Speaker B: And he's just trying to be kind.
[00:55:08] Speaker F: I just. A walk up unannounced and uninvited, and.
[00:55:11] Speaker E: I go, ho, there, citizen. Look like you're in need of an adventurer.
[00:55:16] Speaker D: Oh, that would be terrific, if you wouldn't mind.
[00:55:19] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:55:20] Speaker D: Uncle K, it's nice to see you. Nice to meet you.
[00:55:24] Speaker E: What?
Uncle Cardi, I'm sorry, I don't understand your accent.
[00:55:28] Speaker D: Oh, oh, okay. Oh, yeah, that's okay.
[00:55:32] Speaker B: You know, I'm.
[00:55:33] Speaker D: People don't understand people at times.
[00:55:35] Speaker B: Roger Karanak, you are the famous hero.
[00:55:38] Speaker D: The town's been saying, oh, wow.
[00:55:40] Speaker E: It's pretty exciting to me.
[00:55:42] Speaker B: I feel starstruck in the moment, but this is.
[00:55:45] Speaker E: That was.
[00:55:45] Speaker B: It didn't feel good.
[00:55:46] Speaker G: Thank you.
[00:55:47] Speaker D: I'm very starstruck at this moment. I've heard many things, you know, they're all true. Oh, good, good. Yeah, yeah.
[00:55:55] Speaker E: It looks like you're trying to build a stage here.
[00:55:57] Speaker D: I am, yeah. Yeah, I am, yeah.
You know about stage building at all?
[00:56:03] Speaker E: No, but I bet I could be of some service.
What are you stuck on here, fella?
[00:56:09] Speaker D: Well, I. I'm. I'm trying to find enough material.
[00:56:11] Speaker B: And then you hear a.
[00:56:13] Speaker E: Have you thought about maybe getting wood from trees?
[00:56:17] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, but they kind of don't. They want me to use what we have here, and I. I just couldn't say no to them, you know, they're so kind and loving here.
[00:56:24] Speaker B: I couldn't. Couldn't be any way.
[00:56:27] Speaker E: What do you mean, not saying no?
[00:56:29] Speaker D: Oh, well, I. They said, look in the.
[00:56:31] Speaker B: The house first.
[00:56:32] Speaker D: And I said, okay.
[00:56:34] Speaker E: Friend knows the most powerful word in common.
No sets you free? You should try saying no. It's the main thing I say.
[00:56:43] Speaker D: Oh, okay. You know, I will try that.
[00:56:45] Speaker C: You know?
[00:56:46] Speaker D: Yeah, Yeah, I might.
[00:56:47] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:56:48] Speaker E: Try saying no to me right now so there's a lot of blood coming out of your nose. Are you okay, friend?
[00:56:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:56:56] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, I'm doing fine.
[00:56:57] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:56:59] Speaker E: Would it be helpful if I came back with a lot of wood, wherever it comes from?
[00:57:02] Speaker D: Oh, well, if you could just, like, look around here for a little bit.
[00:57:05] Speaker E: Yeah, sure, sure. I'll look here.
[00:57:09] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that'd be great.
[00:57:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
Give me an investigation check as you're looking around this area, looking for anything that can be used.
[00:57:17] Speaker E: I'll look for five minutes. If I don't find it, I'm gonna go chop it.
[00:57:19] Speaker B: Sure, sure.
Hey.
[00:57:24] Speaker D: Well, 14, 14, 14 helps you.
[00:57:29] Speaker B: Find a few actual pretty good pieces of wood.
There's not enough here, probably for a whole stage.
[00:57:35] Speaker F: Okay.
[00:57:36] Speaker B: But maybe like half a stage, and you're kind of like, as you're finding.
[00:57:39] Speaker D: It, you realize, ooh, I probably need.
[00:57:41] Speaker B: A lot of different hands.
[00:57:43] Speaker D: And you look around, you find yourself.
[00:57:44] Speaker B: With a lot of different hands to help you.
[00:57:46] Speaker F: I was about to say, as Roger finds things, he also isn't into the idea of putting any manual labor in here. He's grown, but not that much. So he. As he finds wood, he goes, oh.
[00:57:57] Speaker E: Children look over here.
[00:58:00] Speaker F: And I'm, like, pointing them to sources, and I'm, like, really into the part.
I'm really jacking on a candle over. I'm really into the part where I'm, like, charismatically wooing them to be helpful.
[00:58:11] Speaker B: Can you give me persuasion chips? Oh, yeah.
[00:58:13] Speaker E: Yes.
[00:58:15] Speaker F: Would you say this is advantage because I'm a hero?
[00:58:18] Speaker B: I would say for the first one. Yeah.
[00:58:22] Speaker F: That's good.
[00:58:24] Speaker D: Hey.
[00:58:25] Speaker B: Holy cow, those are gorgeous, aren't they?
[00:58:29] Speaker F: They're art deco.
[00:58:30] Speaker G: They're very, very pretty.
[00:58:31] Speaker F: I got a 25.
[00:58:33] Speaker B: A 25.
[00:58:34] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:58:35] Speaker B: So what you found is yes, saying no, and harsh words and, like, kind of getting the kids attention by, like, various means of just being louder than they are.
Really helps you control them a little bit as you get a few kids to be like, hey, come look at this.
[00:58:51] Speaker F: As they get distracted and off task.
[00:58:53] Speaker E: I go, now focus. A giant hagwich will eat ya.
[00:58:57] Speaker B: And then I. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:58:59] Speaker F: You're nailing it.
[00:59:00] Speaker B: Yeah. You're not using traditional ways of getting children's attention, but it is working somehow.
And so. Oh, man, I smell that.
[00:59:09] Speaker C: Is that okay? Would you rather.
[00:59:11] Speaker B: No, I like the smell.
[00:59:12] Speaker F: Okay, hold on. If he prefers the farts. He could have.
[00:59:18] Speaker B: Maybe he prefers the farts, but yeah, you get about.
[00:59:23] Speaker F: Are you trying to light the other candles?
The other three, yeah. Do you need to light a new candle or could you take one of the ones that's already burnt and just move it around?
[00:59:30] Speaker G: Don't interrupt.
[00:59:31] Speaker F: That's insane logic.
[00:59:34] Speaker C: Continue, Daniel. I'm sorry. Your friend is so rude.
[00:59:39] Speaker D: Anyway, you get about half a stage.
[00:59:41] Speaker B: Worth and you know, Uncle Kare comes.
[00:59:46] Speaker D: Over and he's like, oh, thank you, lung laddie. I'm so helpful. Thank you very much.
So, yeah, you come here a lot?
[00:59:54] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:59:55] Speaker E: Come here, friend. I saved the town.
[00:59:58] Speaker C: Right.
[00:59:58] Speaker E: I keep forgetting.
[00:59:59] Speaker B: I'm so sorry.
[00:59:59] Speaker E: But no, I go all over where an adventurer is needed. You know, it's wherever need is.
[01:00:05] Speaker D: Well, that's great. You know, I found some tools and.
[01:00:07] Speaker B: He'S like getting trying. He's like.
[01:00:09] Speaker D: Could you, like, help me with. You have a good way with words, it seems.
[01:00:13] Speaker E: I do, yeah. I do, yeah.
[01:00:15] Speaker D: Could you. Could you help me get the kids to start building?
[01:00:18] Speaker E: Yeah, certainly. Absolutely. Children, gather round and listen to a hero.
[01:00:25] Speaker B: And at that moment, we switch over to Jeffrey.
Yeah. Success.
[01:00:31] Speaker E: He said success and held up a thumb.
[01:00:35] Speaker G: Jeffrey, that means thumbs up.
[01:00:37] Speaker B: You see a wild gnome who is dressed with clerical robes that specialize in what looks like the nature domain. Leafy details on robes along with different natural pieces throughout his clothing. He has a symbol of a unicorn on his chest.
If you want, you can give me a religion check to see what that possibly might mean.
[01:00:55] Speaker G: I would like to do that.
[01:00:55] Speaker B: I feel like Jeffrey would.
[01:00:56] Speaker C: Would.
[01:00:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[01:00:58] Speaker G: Jim's very.
[01:01:02] Speaker D: Not 20.
[01:01:03] Speaker G: Nat 20.
That will be.
[01:01:13] Speaker E: Quality.
[01:01:15] Speaker G: 24.
[01:01:15] Speaker B: 24 with a 24.
You know, you were about to say me leaky, but that's not me leaky unicorn.
[01:01:22] Speaker D: You know, you've seen a lot of.
[01:01:23] Speaker B: Yukorns in your day.
It's actually kind of. Kind of like the.
The little dolls that you have. A lot of them are unicorn based, but you don't buy them. But you do know all the different varieties of them. And so.
I prayed it. It. Okay.
[01:01:47] Speaker E: So I.
[01:01:49] Speaker G: Did you miss Daniel and I's pronoun?
[01:01:51] Speaker F: I might have accidentally clicked mute a while back.
[01:01:55] Speaker B: How while back?
[01:01:56] Speaker F: I'm not sure.
[01:01:58] Speaker B: We may.
[01:01:59] Speaker F: We may have lost some stuff. But if that's the case. Listener, quick recap.
When did you hit it? Don't know. Not on purpose.
[01:02:09] Speaker C: It says on the notification. I got it said about five minutes.
[01:02:13] Speaker D: Right, Right.
[01:02:14] Speaker F: That's not too long. Basically, Jiffy lives in a house and he's not married to anybody. That's what we got.
If there was five minutes of silence.
[01:02:23] Speaker D: Listener.
[01:02:24] Speaker F: I'll edit it out. Moving on. Nailing it. Nailing it.
[01:02:27] Speaker D: Barely D and D. You know, I.
[01:02:28] Speaker C: Thought we recorded in.
It went straight into audacity.
[01:02:33] Speaker F: Here we are.
[01:02:35] Speaker B: Who knows? Who knows? But when Jeffrey, you get back, I will need a dexterity check of your choice.
I would say sleight of hand would make the most sense.
[01:02:45] Speaker G: I also think that would make the most sense.
[01:02:48] Speaker B: Roll me a sleight of hand check. I do athletics.
[01:02:51] Speaker G: It's actually strength, so never mind.
[01:02:53] Speaker B: It is. I mean, if you want to do a strength check here.
[01:02:55] Speaker G: No, I think.
Oh, man, that's such a th.
It's a 1212. I'm trying.
[01:03:15] Speaker B: You're pretty succeeding for most of the part. You get about one and a half costumes in.
[01:03:19] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:03:19] Speaker B: It's.
[01:03:20] Speaker D: It's a long john, but you probably.
[01:03:22] Speaker B: Get Jeffrey's costume done.
[01:03:23] Speaker G: Okay.
[01:03:24] Speaker B: You start on the curmudgeon.
[01:03:26] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:03:27] Speaker B: You think you can. You know what a curtain looks like?
[01:03:29] Speaker G: Can I start on someone who's in the room next?
[01:03:31] Speaker B: Oh, sure.
[01:03:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:03:32] Speaker B: Which one would you like to start?
[01:03:34] Speaker F: Uh huh.
[01:03:34] Speaker B: I'm like.
[01:03:35] Speaker G: So I'm like sewing and I'm like looking over and I'm like.
[01:03:37] Speaker B: I think your eye naturally lends towards tinsel because.
[01:03:41] Speaker G: No, no, no, no.
[01:03:41] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[01:03:44] Speaker G: Rodrick's very heroic.
[01:03:46] Speaker E: Roderick is very heroic.
[01:03:48] Speaker B: He's a man's man.
[01:03:49] Speaker G: Jeffrey likes that about Roderick.
[01:03:54] Speaker F: Abby, as he's thinking about how heroic I am. I'm just 40. I'm like 100ft away. Misleading a child.
[01:04:02] Speaker D: I'm just like.
[01:04:03] Speaker G: You're commanding children around.
[01:04:05] Speaker E: Owl. Bears are always dangerous. And really it's about showing them.
And I'm just. Yeah.
[01:04:13] Speaker B: Any other questions you'd like to have with this guy who's still not giving you his name?
[01:04:22] Speaker G: I'm gonna.
Yes, I'm gonna.
[01:04:24] Speaker E: So.
[01:04:25] Speaker G: So how did. How long have you been. Did you know these guys from when? Before they. Before I was here.
[01:04:33] Speaker B: Whose guys are you talking about?
[01:04:35] Speaker G: Oh, just like Rodney, Roderick and. And Tinkle.
[01:04:41] Speaker B: I don't think I've ever met Tinkle or.
[01:04:43] Speaker F: Same Jeffrey.
[01:04:46] Speaker B: I don't think I've met Tinkle or Robert.
These two together.
I. I know my. My Uncle Karina. He's. He's a really nice guy. He's super thoughtful, very kind.
[01:05:00] Speaker G: And which guy is he?
[01:05:01] Speaker B: He's the. He's the gnome. Okay. Yeah, yeah, right there. Not the one next to the Girl right there. Yeah, that one.
[01:05:08] Speaker G: That one right there.
[01:05:09] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:05:09] Speaker B: And then what was his name?
Cousin Kari. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's our last name. Kare.
[01:05:20] Speaker F: He was. What he was struggling with. That was his own name.
[01:05:23] Speaker B: He was like, cousin.
[01:05:24] Speaker E: Oh, I know this one.
[01:05:28] Speaker B: He looks. He's like. And. And sting.
[01:05:31] Speaker D: Sting.
[01:05:32] Speaker E: He just yells across the way.
[01:05:34] Speaker B: And then you see Stig's head just pop over and just, like, bad eyes.
[01:05:38] Speaker E: And he's just, like, doing this.
[01:05:40] Speaker B: Like, he's like, yeah, Steve loves me.
[01:05:42] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[01:05:43] Speaker G: Nice.
[01:05:44] Speaker B: It's pretty great. I did his wedding.
[01:05:45] Speaker G: I love it when that happens with.
[01:05:50] Speaker B: What'S her name? Yeah, yeah, I think that's her name, actually.
[01:05:52] Speaker G: Yeah, yeah.
Shout out to the Green Day song. What's her name?
[01:05:59] Speaker F: All right.
[01:06:00] Speaker G: It really is. That's her name. I guess we don't know.
I wonder how she's dead.
[01:06:06] Speaker B: I guess those are lines in the song.
[01:06:08] Speaker E: Okay, cool.
[01:06:10] Speaker B: We'll go over to what's her name To Jackie as we go to the children's play.
Tinsel.
[01:06:20] Speaker C: So what. Who's the adult here? What. What were they doing?
[01:06:24] Speaker B: I mean, there are two adults here, actually. There's one gnome who's stern looking, has some old adventuring gear on. He also has, like, a very worn sword at his side that he kind of holds his hand on it, like.
Like he's always ready to bring it out.
And he's just looking at all the kids and he's just yelling. He's just like, hey, hey, sit. No, no, not you. You, You. Yeah.
And he, like, leans over to talk to the water Genasi lady, and she's just, like, in a corner. She's found the only working table in the whole place, and she's just furiously writing, and it's like, with these super long quill. And the way she's holding the pencil, like, exaggerates her really long fingers as she's just, like, scribbling away. You almost see, like, smoke coming off of the chalk, the charcoal that she's using to write down the script.
And she's just, like, looking at different things that she's read. And it's almost like she's compiling the information.
And all the children are just, like. Some of them have papers in their hands. Some of them are just punching the crap out of each other because no one's looking at them.
[01:07:33] Speaker C: How many kids are like, right?
[01:07:34] Speaker D: There's about 15.
[01:07:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:07:37] Speaker C: Tinsel comes over and she goes, okay, everyone, tenth fel is here. I'm. I'm here to help. What do we need? I know you're writing the script. She points and she goes. And I know you're.
I don't know what you're doing, but are you an adventurer? You got the. Okay, children, children, settle down. Aunt Tinsel is here. Everything will be fine. And then she jingles the bells really hard.
[01:08:03] Speaker B: Can you give me advantage?
Persuasion check.
[01:08:06] Speaker G: Yes.
[01:08:07] Speaker C: And I'm going to do it with my new dice tower.
Okay, that was a 13 and then a natural 20.
And that's persuasion. So it's gonna be a 22.
[01:08:20] Speaker D: 22.
[01:08:20] Speaker B: The 22. The bells shut everyone up. No one can hear their own thoughts as the bells just resound out the whole place.
And it's really hard because there's definitely holes in the wall, but it's just so loud, it fills the whole place.
As you see, the man who was an adventurer kind of like, stiffen up, and he's like, I was in the war for 40 years, ma'. Am.
I fought in the Great Giant War. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:08:47] Speaker C: Settled down. It's fine.
[01:08:48] Speaker B: I'm not in Venture anymore. I'm married to Wasalia. You know, she's great.
[01:08:55] Speaker E: She's great.
[01:08:56] Speaker B: Like, stiffs down as. Like someone in authority has not talked to him in a while.
And you just see, she doesn't stop. She didn't even recognize. She's like, like.
But then you say, Aunt Tinsel. And at that, she turns her head ever so slightly, and it's like, almost like maddening as she just like, oh, that's creepy. And just like the of a head, just weird, unsettling. And she's like, you were there.
You were there, weren't you?
[01:09:22] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[01:09:23] Speaker B: I'm telling you, in a. In a single bound, she is over the children in front of you.
[01:09:29] Speaker F: It's like a horror match.
[01:09:30] Speaker B: Cut.
[01:09:30] Speaker F: She's just not there.
[01:09:31] Speaker B: And she's there and she's got a notepad in her hand. She's like, tell me everything that happened. I only have the bare understanding of it from other people outside of this place. And I know they're lying and exaggerating about different things. Like Roderick. Roderick is not 7ft tall. He is 2 foot nothing.
[01:09:50] Speaker F: I'm 80ft away, just like, flexing my.
[01:09:53] Speaker E: Tiny little arm for the kids, going, eat your vegetables, your vegetables and your insects.
[01:10:00] Speaker F: And I'm. I'm a hedgehog.
[01:10:03] Speaker B: And she just wants to know what happened that day.
[01:10:06] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:10:07] Speaker B: I need perfect information to write a good script. I need you to sit. And she, like, points all the way over the chair, and you see Stig be Like honey, she's really good with the children. Maybe you could use her. And you see just daggers of ice as she looks back at him and.
[01:10:25] Speaker C: She'S like, here, this will keep him busy. And she takes out like a really one of her old gumdrops and she throws it a few feet away and she goes, kids, candy over there, go get it.
[01:10:35] Speaker B: That's bad.
[01:10:36] Speaker G: That's very bad.
[01:10:42] Speaker B: Three years.
[01:10:42] Speaker C: Oh no, that's six.
[01:10:44] Speaker B: Well, they got a one.
Fifteen children pounced on the idea of candy somewhere. They're fist fighting.
[01:10:52] Speaker E: Yeah, fisticuff.
[01:10:53] Speaker C: They're big cuz they're for the slings rot. So they gotta like try to break. It's like hard.
[01:10:57] Speaker F: They gotta hammer.
[01:10:58] Speaker B: You see them like hitting each other with it. Like some of the Earth Genasi children.
[01:11:02] Speaker E: Are just like, hit it on my.
[01:11:03] Speaker D: Back, hit it on my back.
[01:11:05] Speaker F: And it's just very, very sophomore. Daniel and Zach coded.
Remember?
[01:11:10] Speaker D: Brutal ball.
[01:11:11] Speaker F: Yeah. Anyway, brutal ball was brutal.
[01:11:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it was crazy. Anyway, she sits you down and she's like, I need you to give me exact details.
[01:11:21] Speaker C: So I think tinsel probably goes for like, I don't know, 20 minutes, like in detail, like not sparing anything, like telling her everything. She's like, yeah. And then Roddy did this. And then 10. And then I, I, I did this and, and you know, we were just a ragtag group of adventurers and I think now, you know, we've learned a lot and. Yeah.
[01:11:46] Speaker B: Can you give me a history check first? Yes. And then give me a persuasion check.
[01:11:51] Speaker C: 19 history. Oh, that's a minus one. So that's an 18.
[01:11:55] Speaker B: 18 still very good.
You go into exacting detail of your own mind. Almost the intensity of this person has brought the intensity out in you. And you like recall things that you haven't recalled in a year and you're just like, oh yeah. And there was like this person coming and talk to us and like, like he also kind of helped us with like burning the rings and all this other stuff. And like you went through and then you're like. And a family trauma passed through seven generations. You know, that kind of stuff. Give me a persuasion check to see how well you communicate. All of it.
[01:12:24] Speaker C: It skipped and hopped.
Persuasion.
That's a 16.
[01:12:29] Speaker B: The 16. You also get like very elaborate tellings of it. And she's like, she like stops you for a second, continues writing and then like does signs for you to continue. And it is a 20 minute slog of a story and you go into great detail, you tell her all this stuff and she's like, I can make a good scary play out of this one.
[01:12:48] Speaker C: Okay, wait, you said scary? Aren't these, like.
[01:12:51] Speaker E: These little kids are like, oh, that was weird.
[01:12:53] Speaker C: Oh, but I mean, like, the violence is a little much for, like, the children, right?
[01:12:57] Speaker B: Children love violence. As she, like, looks as you.
[01:13:00] Speaker D: Children love violence.
[01:13:01] Speaker B: As you all look at the children who are violently attacking each other for.
[01:13:05] Speaker C: Some gum, can I do, like, an insight check on her to see if she's like.
Like, not just, like, loves horror, but, like, she's has some other reasons for wanting this evil violence?
Oh, I didn't. What did I do? Insight.
[01:13:22] Speaker B: Oh.
[01:13:23] Speaker C: Oh, well, my insight is the thing I have most in, so.
[01:13:26] Speaker F: 13.
[01:13:27] Speaker B: 13. The 13 man. The way she talks, the way she does things.
You know, Tinsel, you're not a big reader. You've. You've dabbled in some readings, especially when you sat for eight months and waited for a dragon to be a writer. You. You grabbed one of the newer books that was from there around the area. You remember the Giant House on the Prairie? It's a retelling of a terrible, evil, haunted giant house where people get stuck in it and for generations die horrible deaths every time. But one lucky adventuring party goes in and solves a mystery and releases the ghosts of yesteryear.
[01:14:09] Speaker C: I want to read this book, Daniel.
[01:14:13] Speaker B: Well, she wrote this book, as you are like, but her name's not Wassailier. Her name's, as you say out loud, Stephanie Queen.
As you kind of like, in a moment ask, and how. How would Tinsel regard this information to her? Make it known to her?
[01:14:33] Speaker G: She'd go, oh.
[01:14:35] Speaker C: She would, like, look at her first thing and go, oh, my God.
Are you who I think you are?
[01:14:43] Speaker B: As she stops, and she looks up this time sheepishly and, like, almost with, like, no color in her face, and she's like, who do you think I am?
[01:14:53] Speaker G: Are you Stephanie?
[01:14:56] Speaker B: She, like, nods.
She looks desperately around. She looks right at Stig, and Stig's like.
And she's like, so what if I am?
[01:15:10] Speaker C: I'm a fan.
Bravo. Yes.
[01:15:14] Speaker G: Love it.
[01:15:15] Speaker B: You see her shoulders visually relax.
Did you read my latest book?
[01:15:21] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Yeah. I was. I was.
[01:15:23] Speaker F: Had a lot of.
[01:15:24] Speaker C: A lot of downtime recently, and so I got to pick up a few. Quite a few. Quite a few scrolls and books and tomes and, you know, all that.
[01:15:33] Speaker B: So glad you liked it. Yeah, I didn't know. And she, like, kind of like, for the first time, like, ruffles her hair to be a little better looking as she like, kind of lets it down a little bit. And she's just like, I. I write a lot and I like scary. And I think it's good for children to understand.
[01:15:49] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:15:50] Speaker B: Fear at a young age in such a hard place that we live.
[01:15:53] Speaker E: It's good for children to understand here at such.
[01:15:55] Speaker D: How did.
[01:15:55] Speaker C: So is that why you. How you got wrapped into, like a.
[01:15:59] Speaker G: Like.
[01:15:59] Speaker B: Well, my mom.
I'm sure you've met her. She's persistent.
[01:16:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:16:07] Speaker B: And she.
And she, like, kind of like, looks for words in her mouth and she's like, I didn't really have a choice. You know, I.
I'm quite persnickety and awkward and a bit pugnacious, but I get it.
[01:16:28] Speaker C: I'm around. I'm around awkward and other things still all the time.
[01:16:36] Speaker B: Well, I can't say no to my mother.
[01:16:39] Speaker C: Yeah, of course you can't say no to your mother.
[01:16:40] Speaker F: You really can't?
[01:16:41] Speaker C: No, no.
[01:16:42] Speaker B: I would say no to Conchaba, but not to my mother.
[01:16:45] Speaker C: And so I'm glad you're writing a play about us. Maybe you'll turn it into a book.
[01:16:50] Speaker B: Who knows?
Do you think that was. So you think that would be scary? Is your story. Could I. Could I adapt a bit of what you said about this father and son relationship?
[01:17:00] Speaker C: Go for it. You know, I'm just giving you. I'm kind of the lead of myself, of the three of you.
[01:17:06] Speaker D: I could tell.
[01:17:06] Speaker B: I could tell. Like, they.
[01:17:08] Speaker C: I let them think they are, you know. You know.
[01:17:10] Speaker B: You know, she looks at Stig and she's like, Stieg knows that. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:17:15] Speaker C: So I'm.
[01:17:16] Speaker F: I'm off in the background behind tinsel and I'm fully having a snowball fight with the kids. I've abandoned the tassel on and they're having fun, but I'm also, like, beating them.
Like, I'm like, yeah, I'm doing that.
[01:17:31] Speaker G: In the background behind Tensor, but made another doll.
In my downtime. I just, like, made a little one.
[01:17:41] Speaker F: Another time that you were gonna be.
[01:17:43] Speaker D: Helping the other guy.
[01:17:44] Speaker G: Well, I.
[01:17:45] Speaker B: He was like, the thing is, the other guy, like, gives you random pieces of stuff to put in there. Like, he finds you, like, nails and bone.
[01:17:54] Speaker F: But did you bone?
[01:17:55] Speaker C: I made a bone.
[01:17:57] Speaker B: He's a nature clerk. He doesn't explain.
[01:17:59] Speaker G: Yeah, yeah. I made. I made a little unicorn.
[01:18:04] Speaker F: The ugliest little unicorn.
[01:18:06] Speaker B: That looks so good. That looks so good.
[01:18:08] Speaker G: Things. You know, I really. I. I try to hone my skills.
[01:18:13] Speaker B: You do hone well.
[01:18:14] Speaker G: Yeah. Thank you.
[01:18:16] Speaker C: But, yeah, so I, you know, I'm Kind of Aaliyah. And I'm gonna give you just full brain. You can have, you know, do what you want. I don't care. It's, you know, just as you're a great writer and I'd be honored to be in one of your stories.
[01:18:30] Speaker B: You see a tiny like water droplet come out of one eye. She. She snatches it away and she's like, good, good. Well, I. I think I have enough for my script.
If you all could. And for the next. We're gonna skip some time the next hour. You all finish enough costumes. You kind of take one task at a time. You start helping the children actually read lines and scripts. And like whenever they get out of line, they have understood that your bells bring them back.
And Rodrick is most of the time trying to help put them all in one big pile. And the uncle comes over and kind of helps you tear pieces apart and you try to like get stuff ready as some other helpers eventually come in and actually start making something.
[01:19:12] Speaker F: I really adopt a managerial role.
[01:19:15] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:19:15] Speaker F: Not so much helping, but you know.
[01:19:18] Speaker B: In the midst of that, you've all rolled so well. So here we go. One, three.
[01:19:26] Speaker F: That like a threat. One.
[01:19:27] Speaker B: Such a cool. Rodrick.
The world around you goes very similar since the last time you were in this place.
[01:19:36] Speaker F: So it all like fades to black.
[01:19:38] Speaker B: Fades to black. Just ever so slightly just.
[01:19:40] Speaker F: Just for the sake DM as it does that.
Am I so like I'm just doing things and everything suddenly fades to back. Do I feel like I'm like leaving the realm or falling unconscious? If I had the.
[01:19:53] Speaker B: It was a very similar realm of leaving last time.
[01:19:56] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:19:56] Speaker B: That you really never went to sleep, but you were suddenly somewhere else.
[01:20:01] Speaker F: Yeah. So as I'm like winding up like.
[01:20:03] Speaker E: A snowball, I'm like, oh no.
[01:20:05] Speaker F: And that's.
[01:20:06] Speaker B: Yeah. At the Ono. You see before you a rather slim figure of extraordinary height for a fairy standing a full four feet tall.
You remember his amber eyes, though striking and kind. His auburn hair and small wings that almost are translucent fluttering out of his brown vest. His brown slacks are the same color which complements his slightly yellow button down shirt. His complexion is quite pale, but somehow tan enough to not look like a shut in.
He regards you kindly as. Give me a history check, Roderick, to see if you remember this man's name.
[01:20:43] Speaker F: D.M.
[01:20:43] Speaker E: Would you?
[01:20:44] Speaker B: Well, if you know it yourself, that's one or two.
[01:20:47] Speaker E: I was gonna ask if you'd be.
[01:20:48] Speaker F: Willing to have me make this a disadvantage because I'm so bad at remembering People's names up to you.
[01:20:54] Speaker B: Let's do normal.
[01:20:54] Speaker D: I don't.
[01:20:55] Speaker C: She said in real life.
[01:20:57] Speaker B: Oh, I got you.
[01:20:58] Speaker F: It's a NAT one.
[01:20:59] Speaker B: DM no idea who in the hell this guy is. You have a snowball in your hand, though.
[01:21:06] Speaker F: DM as I reappear. Can I panic? Hunk it at the guy.
[01:21:10] Speaker B: Honk it at the guy.
[01:21:11] Speaker E: Okay.
[01:21:11] Speaker B: Okay. Where do you aim?
[01:21:13] Speaker F: Well, does he say anything first?
[01:21:14] Speaker B: Not yet.
[01:21:15] Speaker F: Okay.
And I. I throw it in his face.
[01:21:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:21:17] Speaker E: Roll.
[01:21:18] Speaker B: Roll to hit.
[01:21:20] Speaker F: It's not sneak attack, right?
[01:21:21] Speaker B: No.
[01:21:22] Speaker F: Okay.
[01:21:22] Speaker C: How is that sneak attack?
You have it in your hand.
[01:21:26] Speaker E: I got a Nat 20.
That's.
[01:21:30] Speaker B: Holy crap for a Nat 20. Can you roll me a D4?
[01:21:35] Speaker C: Oh, no.
[01:21:37] Speaker F: I show up and kill somebody with a snowball.
[01:21:40] Speaker C: 4.
[01:21:42] Speaker D: Is that double?
[01:21:43] Speaker B: No, that is because.
[01:21:44] Speaker D: Okay, okay.
[01:21:46] Speaker B: It's. Oh, you can't get a one. You gotta.
[01:21:48] Speaker D: I was worried.
[01:21:49] Speaker B: Yeah. You hit him and just across his face. Nose blood goes everywhere.
[01:21:54] Speaker D: Oh, no. As he's like, oh, oh, oh, oh. I didn't.
[01:21:59] Speaker F: Oh, I don't. I don't remember where I am.
[01:22:02] Speaker E: So I just.
[01:22:03] Speaker D: Oh, man. That's gonna leave a moment.
[01:22:06] Speaker F: Oh, I don't remember where I am. So I just. I whip out my rapier and I.
[01:22:09] Speaker E: Go, no, listen here. I wanted the three amigos.
[01:22:11] Speaker D: I don't mean.
[01:22:11] Speaker B: Huh?
[01:22:12] Speaker D: I know. I know your name.
[01:22:13] Speaker B: Roderick.
[01:22:13] Speaker C: I.
[01:22:14] Speaker B: It's okay.
[01:22:15] Speaker D: Please put the sword away.
[01:22:16] Speaker F: I just, like, pan the camera and.
[01:22:17] Speaker E: I go, he knows my name.
[01:22:21] Speaker C: Ah.
[01:22:21] Speaker B: And you just see the nose is slowly getting bigger.
[01:22:24] Speaker E: That'll. That'll heal right up.
[01:22:26] Speaker D: Was there a rock in there or something?
[01:22:29] Speaker F: I look at the ground. Was there a rock in there?
[01:22:31] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[01:22:33] Speaker B: That's how you were hitting the children.
[01:22:34] Speaker F: So.
[01:22:34] Speaker D: Well, I just stop and think to.
[01:22:37] Speaker E: Myself quietly, that's a good thing.
[01:22:39] Speaker F: I didn't get that one off.
[01:22:41] Speaker B: He grabbed. He's just like, Roderick.
[01:22:45] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm Roderick. Yes, that's me.
[01:22:48] Speaker D: You know who I am.
[01:22:50] Speaker E: Yes.
[01:22:51] Speaker D: No, you don't. Rodrick, just tell me the truth.
[01:22:53] Speaker B: This is.
[01:22:54] Speaker E: I know who you are.
[01:22:56] Speaker B: Tell me my name, then.
[01:22:57] Speaker E: That's a little insulting.
[01:22:58] Speaker D: Yeah, I. You just threw a rock.
[01:23:01] Speaker E: You're so Snowball.
You don't get a lot of consent when you pull people back to the Feywild.
[01:23:06] Speaker B: Well, I'm trying to give you a good warning.
[01:23:08] Speaker E: Maybe I won't shut up about it.
[01:23:10] Speaker B: A year ago, yes, we all knew who Jeffrey was.
[01:23:14] Speaker D: He's been the talk of the Feywild.
[01:23:16] Speaker B: For the past year.
[01:23:18] Speaker D: Well. Well, we just can't believe that he's real.
[01:23:23] Speaker E: I know they liked me.
[01:23:24] Speaker G: If they've been thinking. Thinking about.
[01:23:25] Speaker D: Yes, Roderick. So a nice apology would be soothing my quite hurt ego at the moment.
[01:23:32] Speaker E: Oh, sorry about that.
[01:23:33] Speaker B: Thank you.
[01:23:34] Speaker E: You know what? Chicks dig scars. Glory never fades, man.
[01:23:37] Speaker B: You know, maybe in the Material realm.
[01:23:40] Speaker D: But in the Feywild, we really like looking.
[01:23:42] Speaker F: Well, you should keep your hand on it.
[01:23:44] Speaker D: Yeah, I know.
[01:23:47] Speaker E: It's kind of hard to look at. Okay.
[01:23:48] Speaker B: Rodrick, I was going to try to tell you about something. Something. But I don't.
[01:23:51] Speaker D: Maybe I should get one of the other.
[01:23:52] Speaker E: No, no, no, no, no. Tell me.
[01:23:54] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:23:54] Speaker D: Well, if you remember, I'm Prince Vaughn.
Oh, shoot.
[01:24:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
Now, King Von, I. I just.
[01:24:04] Speaker F: I just nod confidently, but I'm like. I like. I look both confident and also pretty concerned.
[01:24:09] Speaker B: And I'm just like.
[01:24:09] Speaker D: You helped killed my father last year.
[01:24:13] Speaker B: And the demon. Yes, yes, my father, King Fee. No.
[01:24:18] Speaker E: Right. Yes.
[01:24:19] Speaker B: Why did I bring this one?
[01:24:21] Speaker E: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I'm good. I just. Keep going.
[01:24:26] Speaker B: You just surprised me. You see, like a magic form and.
[01:24:29] Speaker D: It'S not cleaning it up, but it's.
[01:24:31] Speaker B: Getting all the blood out. And he just doesn't want to hold his nose anymore.
[01:24:34] Speaker E: Good as new. Good as new.
[01:24:36] Speaker B: At least you're flattering.
Roderick, right?
[01:24:40] Speaker E: That's me.
[01:24:43] Speaker G: I.
[01:24:45] Speaker B: I have found something troubling in the material plane.
[01:24:48] Speaker E: Sure.
[01:24:50] Speaker B: There's been a lot of activity here in the Feywild. Close to where the city of Atrice is. Yeah, of long ago. Remember the.
[01:24:58] Speaker D: The Feywild, Leyline in the middle of the lake.
[01:25:02] Speaker E: How could I forget?
[01:25:04] Speaker F: And I like dart my eyes to.
[01:25:06] Speaker E: The side when I say it.
[01:25:07] Speaker B: Well, there seems to be something that is drawing more fae to that village once more.
It. It happened six months ago or so. Sure.
[01:25:19] Speaker E: I heard there were giants in Hearthstone. Was it that.
[01:25:22] Speaker B: No, no, no. They weren't touched by the fae. Those are good.
[01:25:26] Speaker E: Giants really freak me out.
[01:25:29] Speaker B: Things not under my concern are there?
[01:25:32] Speaker D: But I am.
[01:25:32] Speaker B: This protector's part of both my Feywild and the Material plane in our trice.
[01:25:38] Speaker E: For you're doing so good on this matters.
[01:25:40] Speaker D: Well, I want you to investigate.
[01:25:42] Speaker B: Ask those who maybe have come recently and see if there's something that could have possibly happened that led to.
[01:25:48] Speaker E: Are you saying that you have a quest?
[01:25:52] Speaker D: A sort of quest?
[01:25:53] Speaker B: Yes.
I. I don't want to give too well. I guess I should. A babochka seems to have been spawned in your area.
[01:26:00] Speaker E: Bless you.
[01:26:02] Speaker B: Yes.
And I think it would be willing to investigate Such a thing. It would be helpful for the whole. A babochka is a.
[01:26:14] Speaker E: Sorry, I don't speak Sylvan.
[01:26:16] Speaker B: A device filled with Sylvan magic. Something that gives great power to the world around it.
[01:26:24] Speaker E: Unlimited power.
[01:26:25] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. Nothing like that. No. I would have come and got it if it was.
[01:26:28] Speaker C: Was that.
[01:26:29] Speaker B: But the babochka is a vessel of supreme Sylvan power, and things are drawn to it. In the feywild. Oh, I. And you see him, like, fluttering in and out.
[01:26:39] Speaker E: Oh, no.
[01:26:39] Speaker B: His iridescence is coming out. He's.
[01:26:41] Speaker E: Hold on.
[01:26:42] Speaker B: Look. Look for.
[01:26:43] Speaker E: Look what? Your connection.
[01:26:45] Speaker B: Oh. As you no longer have the snowball in your face. And what's.
[01:26:49] Speaker F: Tracy.
[01:26:50] Speaker B: Oh, not that low.
[01:26:53] Speaker E: 14.
[01:26:53] Speaker B: 14 does not hit as a snowball goes flying over your head once more.
[01:26:58] Speaker F: As it goes by. I like. I have another, like, PTSD response and.
[01:27:02] Speaker E: I just pack a snowball real quick.
[01:27:03] Speaker F: And I'll get back wherever it was coming from.
[01:27:05] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
It also goes flying because the kid definitely ran away, right?
No. Seeing that you appeared in front of him again as Tinsel Jeffrey, you noticed for a minute or two your friend was no longer there and has now suddenly reappeared.
[01:27:23] Speaker C: Where? Jeffrey? Where did Roddy go?
[01:27:26] Speaker F: I go running for tinsel.
[01:27:27] Speaker E: Tinsel. Tinsel.
Tinsel.
[01:27:30] Speaker C: Did you go to the bathroom? Did you have to go to the bathroom?
[01:27:31] Speaker E: Tinsel.
[01:27:32] Speaker C: I'm sorry.
[01:27:32] Speaker E: My legs are so short. I'm still running to you.
[01:27:34] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm coming to Tinsel. What? Roddy.
[01:27:37] Speaker E: T. Away.
[01:27:38] Speaker B: I got on all fours.
[01:27:40] Speaker C: She's running towards him like they're five feet away now.
[01:27:44] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:27:47] Speaker C: Where did you go? You were supposed to be helping with this.
[01:27:49] Speaker E: King Feet.
[01:27:51] Speaker C: King Feet.
[01:27:51] Speaker E: King Feet.
[01:27:52] Speaker C: Feet.
[01:27:53] Speaker E: No, he died. Prince.
Prince Vibes. Prince Vibes called me again.
[01:27:57] Speaker C: Prince Vaughn.
[01:27:58] Speaker E: No, that doesn't sound right.
[01:28:00] Speaker C: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it.
[01:28:03] Speaker E: Sure. He called me.
[01:28:05] Speaker C: He called you?
[01:28:06] Speaker E: He called me.
[01:28:06] Speaker C: How'd he call you on what he. Like, Was he. Was he here?
[01:28:10] Speaker E: Magic.
[01:28:11] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[01:28:12] Speaker E: So he got in contact with me, and I didn't do any. He got in contact with me and he let me know.
[01:28:17] Speaker C: Did you hurt him?
[01:28:19] Speaker E: What would make you say that?
[01:28:20] Speaker C: You just. I'm a little concerned.
[01:28:22] Speaker E: That's a lot of. That's a lot of accusation all of a sudden.
[01:28:24] Speaker C: No, it's fine.
[01:28:25] Speaker E: I wouldn't hurt a fl.
[01:28:27] Speaker C: Well, you have. But go ahead.
[01:28:28] Speaker B: Hear the groans of three children in the back.
[01:28:33] Speaker F: The kids walking over the black eye.
[01:28:37] Speaker C: Do I need to. Do I need to heal some of them?
[01:28:40] Speaker E: They'll be fine. It builds character. Point being, there's. There's a. Something's on the loose, he said, from the feywild of a baba ganoush. And it's got all of the magic.
[01:28:50] Speaker B: And he.
[01:28:52] Speaker E: His signal brought him up. I think he was going through a tunnel. I don't know what he said, but there's. There's a.
[01:28:57] Speaker C: Wait, hold on. This. Okay.
[01:29:00] Speaker E: Sorry. I'm just so excited.
[01:29:01] Speaker C: Magical monster.
[01:29:03] Speaker E: We're the Three Amigos again.
[01:29:04] Speaker C: On the loose.
[01:29:05] Speaker E: Sure.
[01:29:06] Speaker C: We've always been the Three Amigos.
[01:29:08] Speaker E: That's what I was kind of getting. Well, there was a bit where we were apart.
[01:29:11] Speaker C: We were still. Okay, breathe.
[01:29:13] Speaker D: Go back.
[01:29:14] Speaker E: I'm defacing my emotions.
[01:29:16] Speaker C: Wait, so the prince was there? Was he still kind of cute?
[01:29:21] Speaker E: Yeah. I mean, not like me levels, but he was good.
[01:29:25] Speaker C: Yeah, of course.
[01:29:26] Speaker E: He said, he's a king now.
[01:29:27] Speaker C: He's a king now.
[01:29:30] Speaker F: She shouts so loud, there's an echo behind her. In the rose voice, in every universe.
[01:29:36] Speaker C: I am a bard searching for her king.
Okay, wait. Okay, king. Okay, so the king holds you and says, there's a monster on the. Jeffrey, are you hearing this?
[01:29:51] Speaker G: Jeffrey's like, half listening. Sorry, just my jeans.
Jeffrey was, like, half listening, but also trying to, like, have a conversation, but he like. Excuse me, bro. I'll be right back. I just gotta go check out what my friends are seeing. It was wonderful to meet you, and I would like to gift you with this doll that I made. I like to attach mine onto my belt. It's like a little. It's like a trinket that you carry around.
[01:30:18] Speaker B: Puts it on his head.
[01:30:19] Speaker C: Chat.
[01:30:20] Speaker G: That's perfect.
[01:30:21] Speaker B: It's like almost hitting his ear constantly.
[01:30:24] Speaker G: Great to meet you, man.
[01:30:25] Speaker B: It's good to meet you too, Jeff.
[01:30:30] Speaker G: Okay, I go over.
[01:30:33] Speaker C: Okay. The prince. Jeffrey, the prince is a king now.
[01:30:36] Speaker G: What prince?
[01:30:37] Speaker C: You know, the.
[01:30:38] Speaker E: You remember.
[01:30:38] Speaker G: I don't know. This.
[01:30:41] Speaker C: Is now a king. It's neither. You know. There.
[01:30:43] Speaker G: Who's the prince?
[01:30:44] Speaker E: He was the E boy. You remember him?
[01:30:47] Speaker C: Okay, Roddy, think really long and hard.
What kind of monster is on the loose?
What did he say? I don't think a baba ganoush is a monster. I ain't never heard of one.
[01:31:01] Speaker E: It was. It was silver, and I don't speak silver.
[01:31:03] Speaker B: Can you give me a history check to see what maybe baba ganoush might seen in Sylvan.
[01:31:12] Speaker C: 6?
[01:31:14] Speaker B: No idea what a could be. There's so many gahs and bahs in the southern language.
[01:31:21] Speaker D: Do you know the way he went?
[01:31:25] Speaker B: I know it might be similar. You can make me a role. It's gonna be a bit higher of a D.C. but.
[01:31:34] Speaker G: For history, that is.
[01:31:38] Speaker F: Gonna be every universe.
[01:31:41] Speaker G: 22A.
[01:31:41] Speaker B: 22. Well, that does clear. It's probably what this guy.
[01:31:52] Speaker G: Oh, guys, it's a babochka.
[01:31:53] Speaker B: A babochka is B, A, B, O, C, H, K, A. Wow.
[01:31:59] Speaker G: Just how it sounds.
[01:32:01] Speaker C: Okay, so somehow.
[01:32:03] Speaker F: Sorry, were you. Am I catching strays right now so.
[01:32:06] Speaker B: I can make sure everyone knows how to say the spell, the words.
[01:32:08] Speaker D: You know what? You know what? Now that we're doing this, listener, Jackie.
[01:32:11] Speaker F: Or Abby showed up without a character today and has been making one the whole session. And then earlier, while I was, you know, invested in the story, she texted me.
[01:32:20] Speaker G: She was like, my character.
[01:32:22] Speaker F: I came across the. Across the table, and she said, what do you think extra attack means? And I was like, it means you get a second attack. And she went. I knew that. I just wanted to call you over here.
[01:32:30] Speaker D: No, no, no.
[01:32:31] Speaker E: Cool.
[01:32:32] Speaker C: I thought that.
[01:32:32] Speaker G: I was like, I. I texted Zach and I was like, wouldn't it be funny if I text him? I was like, hey, what do you think extra attack could possibly be?
And he took me seriously, even though not judging you. I appreciate it. I appreciate that. But I guess my bad for misjudging.
I was like. I thought it would be very funny to be like, what in the world could extra attack possibly mean?
[01:32:53] Speaker D: So.
[01:32:54] Speaker G: But I did not realize it would be such an ordeal. And I'm sorry.
[01:32:56] Speaker C: By some way of gods, Jeffrey figured out what the king was talking. Guys, I'm just, well read.
[01:33:03] Speaker G: I read a lot of books.
[01:33:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:33:04] Speaker G: I've been to school for a long time.
[01:33:05] Speaker B: Babochka, the word. Give me a history check to see if you can figure out what that word specifically means.
[01:33:12] Speaker F: Can I make a check for something?
[01:33:13] Speaker D: Thirteen?
[01:33:14] Speaker C: Sure.
[01:33:15] Speaker B: Could you give me an insight check?
[01:33:16] Speaker F: Great.
[01:33:17] Speaker B: Thirteen.
Thirteen.
[01:33:19] Speaker F: I don't need this to be important. I just wanted to roll it down.
[01:33:21] Speaker B: Yeah. What'd you get?
[01:33:22] Speaker G: I gotta fix it.
[01:33:23] Speaker F: 7.
[01:33:24] Speaker B: 13, 13. 7.
That kid's giving you a mean eye glare over there. He's. He's up to something.
[01:33:31] Speaker F: I, like, smile, and I look at.
[01:33:33] Speaker E: Him and I go.
[01:33:35] Speaker B: 13, 15. Y' all both kind of like, talk it out for a little bit. Like, you remember babochka?
Like, a bowl or a basin full of something is usually what it like, Baba would mean in this language. And magica is kind of like what you get to a basin full of magic of some sort of sort, a device, something that is filled with a bunch of. And specifically Sylvan. Maybe Sylvan magic.
And so, you know, it's not necessarily.
[01:34:02] Speaker D: A monster that it would be what.
[01:34:04] Speaker B: He'S talking about, but more of like something that is capable of great magical feats.
[01:34:09] Speaker G: Dude, I don't think we're looking for a monster.
[01:34:11] Speaker F: Are you sewing?
[01:34:12] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:34:14] Speaker C: Okay, so.
No, that's rogue.
I went into this next thing.
Roddy.
[01:34:23] Speaker E: That's me.
[01:34:25] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:34:26] Speaker B: Also. Did y' all say this out loud?
[01:34:28] Speaker G: Yeah, I say we would read.
[01:34:30] Speaker B: Cool.
Keep going.
Three, everyone. Okay.
[01:34:39] Speaker G: So.
[01:34:42] Speaker C: Okay, so what is. He's wanting. He will.
[01:34:44] Speaker G: He's wanting us to go Look, I don't like the.
[01:34:48] Speaker E: Both talked so much.
I didn't. It was at the same time I didn't.
[01:34:52] Speaker C: Okay, so you spoke to him and he wants to go find it.
[01:34:56] Speaker E: Maybe I.
[01:34:57] Speaker G: We're looking for like a magical.
[01:34:59] Speaker E: His nose was really weird and I.
[01:35:00] Speaker B: Had trouble at this.
[01:35:03] Speaker E: Paying attention.
[01:35:03] Speaker B: Vessel one last time.
[01:35:05] Speaker F: He was rolling a check every time you guys kept talking about it.
[01:35:10] Speaker B: Stig, the quietest of the gnomes that has come. He comes over and he says.
I. I don't mean to be an eavesdropper, you know, Wesalia says it's not very nice for people to do that. I'm trying to be kind and cordial and considerate, but it sounds like you've been under. Well, you were gone for a little bit, and I do that sometimes.
Okay, that's very disturbing. But I. An ex adventurer, but for winning my. And he like, looks at his wife and he says, my lovely wife.
My family.
He looks to the gnomes that are over there and he's like. And I were contractually obligated to help out the village. A few months ago, before the wedding, we kind of destroyed a hag's lair down in the bottom of the lake.
[01:36:05] Speaker E: Oh, man. This is just an unlucky town, let me tell you.
[01:36:09] Speaker G: Yeah.
[01:36:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Celia was telling me about all the.
[01:36:11] Speaker E: Terribleness of the A Series of Unfortunate Events.
[01:36:14] Speaker B: Yeah, one might say. You're not wrong. I should have a. Make a whole book case about that.
[01:36:21] Speaker G: You could be orangey.
Orangey.
Fake name.
[01:36:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. St. Then he's like. But what we found was a.
It sounds like this magical vessel was like this.
It was like a sapphire butterfly looking thing.
[01:36:42] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:36:43] Speaker B: Felt like it had immense power in it, but we let it go.
[01:36:46] Speaker C: You let it go?
[01:36:47] Speaker G: It was a butterfly.
[01:36:48] Speaker B: Well, it was kept inside of a.
Like a. Like a chest of some sort.
[01:36:54] Speaker E: If you love something, let it go.
[01:36:56] Speaker B: Draining its power. And we thought you know, things don't that are being drained should probably be free.
[01:37:02] Speaker E: Sure sounds like logic to me.
[01:37:04] Speaker B: That's what we thought too. I did destroy the lair right when we took it out of its cage.
[01:37:08] Speaker E: Or standard layer procedure.
[01:37:10] Speaker B: Yeah. You know, you understand as adventurers. Yeah, but it sounds like that that's close to what you're looking for. So I'd say look for a sapphire butterfly.
[01:37:18] Speaker E: That was really helpful, Steve. I. I try.
[01:37:21] Speaker B: I try, Roger.
[01:37:22] Speaker G: So it's a live butterfly?
[01:37:25] Speaker B: Well, it's not really a butterfly. It was made of metal, so.
[01:37:29] Speaker G: So it's not flying. We don't have to catch it.
[01:37:31] Speaker B: No, it definitely did fly.
[01:37:32] Speaker C: Oh, it's like a magic item. Jeffrey.
[01:37:36] Speaker E: That sound.
[01:37:39] Speaker G: So it's. It's. So we do have to catch butterfly. Yeah, well, I just don't know if catching a butterfly is within my ethical sphere.
You just said that we should let it be free because it's a butterfly.
[01:37:50] Speaker D: Jeffrey, what are you doing with your.
[01:37:53] Speaker F: Lips in real life?
He's going to.
[01:38:02] Speaker C: Okay, thank you. Where did y' all release it? You said it was lake.
[01:38:08] Speaker E: Okay, so we should head to the lake maybe.
[01:38:10] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:38:10] Speaker C: Wait a minute.
[01:38:12] Speaker G: Well, I mean, the butterfly could fly anywhere. It can fly.
[01:38:16] Speaker B: That's the first thing I've agreed with him on that.
[01:38:18] Speaker D: Like it's sharp.
[01:38:19] Speaker C: Could I do a check to see would this be considered a live thing or an object?
[01:38:26] Speaker B: Give me an arcana check.
[01:38:27] Speaker G: You're like looking preachy.
[01:38:33] Speaker C: This is an 8.
[01:38:36] Speaker B: Seems like it's one of those.
[01:38:38] Speaker C: It's one of those.
[01:38:41] Speaker B: Okay, I just have to choose one.
[01:38:43] Speaker F: And figure or unalive.
[01:38:46] Speaker C: How close do we are? How close to the lake are we right now?
[01:38:52] Speaker B: Not like maybe a five minute jaunt.
[01:38:57] Speaker G: Okay, three amigos.
[01:39:00] Speaker E: I blow up my rapier away and.
[01:39:02] Speaker F: I just start jogging in the lake.
[01:39:04] Speaker C: Okay, we're gonna. We're gonna go do some research. Can you hold down the fort with the kids?
[01:39:10] Speaker B: The what was a ramshackled amount of amalgamation of people and kids seems to be tight. Orderly costumes being made, stages being built, and just so much other stuff. They feel like they thank you profusely and they say, yes, please, before another evil invades the town.
[01:39:31] Speaker C: Tinsel turns to Roderick and she goes.
[01:39:34] Speaker F: I've been gone for seven seconds. I'm already 60ft away, jogging with a.
[01:39:39] Speaker B: Rapier out in my hand.
[01:39:40] Speaker C: Okay, well, I catch up to him because.
[01:39:43] Speaker G: Go.
[01:39:43] Speaker C: Once again.
[01:39:44] Speaker E: Oh, you're so fast.
[01:39:46] Speaker C: Once again.
Three amigos saved the day. And she keeps going with it as she keeps jogging.
[01:39:52] Speaker F: I stop and go.
[01:39:54] Speaker E: That was my lang.
[01:39:56] Speaker B: Would you.
[01:39:56] Speaker F: This is a great.
[01:39:57] Speaker B: Yeah, this is probably a good time.
[01:39:58] Speaker F: All right, listener, we're gonna. We're gonna take a little break there.
[01:40:03] Speaker D: I gotta pee.
[01:40:06] Speaker F: Life's an incredible adventure. You're an important part of it.
We'll be back in a week. Skibidi wobb. Also, happy holidays.
[01:40:12] Speaker C: Merry Christmas.
[01:40:12] Speaker B: Happy holidays.
[01:40:14] Speaker D: Happy holidays.
[01:40:17] Speaker F: Should we say Merry Christmas?
[01:40:19] Speaker D: Merry Christmas.
[01:40:21] Speaker E: All right.
[01:40:21] Speaker C: Hope you roll out.
