[00:00:00] Speaker A: We haven't started yet. I can't start it now.
Hi, everyone. Welcome to Barely DND your Sword of Dungeons and Dragons podcast. Welcome to part two of the Village. The village beyond the woods. The Village beyond the woods. Sure. I. One shot with Jackie as our DM special. DM Special.
[00:00:20] Speaker B: DM Jackie Bella.
[00:00:23] Speaker A: Yeah. Micah died.
No, no, but her character did. Her character?
[00:00:28] Speaker C: No, her character.
[00:00:29] Speaker A: Her character wandered off to look at.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: To follow that.
[00:00:32] Speaker C: She has made her profession for five levels. So she's probably alive to die for five levels.
[00:00:38] Speaker A: As far as we know, she's still alive. But we are now. The cords are now cut between. Well, I don't think we're DMing.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: I guess they. Everyone just untied.
They're not hard knots. I just flex my muscles until the rope snaps.
[00:00:54] Speaker C: Okay, I untied.
[00:00:55] Speaker A: Thank you. I also.
[00:00:57] Speaker B: So coming back in, I'm gonna say.
[00:00:59] Speaker A: I'm only having 30ft of room.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: Where we left off the party was standing at the top of a H and down below, choking on a skittle. Again.
Something was. I don't know what, because it sounded like the melody to Little fuzzy.
[00:01:21] Speaker A: Oh, I was laughing at what Noah did. You guys were laughing. Like you said, we were choking on skittles, so I was laughing at no.
[00:01:29] Speaker B: Skittle.
[00:01:29] Speaker C: Right.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Choking on the skittle. And I don't use my hand.
Yeah. I can't breathe.
[00:01:40] Speaker B: The year is 1521. You guys are standing at the top of a hill, and down below you, down at the bottom of the hill, there is. Seems to be a path, and you see several buildings down there. Looks like a little village.
[00:01:56] Speaker A: Dm.
[00:01:57] Speaker B: From where you stand, you can't see any people. You can just see it's like a couple football fields away. Yes.
[00:02:04] Speaker A: Do we need any music? And what happened to Clara? Okay, where'd she go? Dm.
Dm. What happened to Clara?
[00:02:12] Speaker B: She's probably alive after you guys came out of the mist. Clara, Micah's character, saw a fruit bat fly by and went, oh, my gosh.
[00:02:21] Speaker A: You guys.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Okay, no musical fans here. Anyway, she.
She.
[00:02:33] Speaker A: Who is this?
[00:02:35] Speaker B: Kevin McLeod? MacLeod.
[00:02:37] Speaker A: He's amazing. Sounds very close to Zelda.
You sound close to Zelda.
[00:02:43] Speaker B: It's actually called Thatched Villagers.
So she saw fruit bat fly by, which is really weird for Tyr because there are no fruit bats in this region. And she went, oh, my God. She was kind of doing Scottish, right? Yeah.
[00:02:57] Speaker A: She's doing a lot of things. And that's okay.
[00:03:01] Speaker B: I must follow that. I need to Know their patterns. And this takes precedent. This is my life's work. And she took off following it. She wished the party good luck. And she followed her fruit back.
[00:03:13] Speaker A: Guys, who was that?
[00:03:17] Speaker B: Oh, Minster died.
[00:03:18] Speaker A: Who is what? So far? So, Stacy. Clara. That was the name. Clara.
[00:03:23] Speaker B: The name. Clara.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: What?
It's okay. We keep going down the hill.
Come on.
[00:03:29] Speaker B: Yeah. So do you guys go down the hill? Do you go down the hill?
[00:03:32] Speaker A: Do you go down the hill? Yes, I was going down the hill. TM does.
Well be. I mean, she's my friend. You protect her. Does she start rolling down the hill at any point? She rolled down the hill.
She talked about how round she was. I'm just trying to be careful.
[00:03:47] Speaker B: Once the party has emerged from that fog, mist, and they're up on top of the hill, they start walking down the hill. It's not too steep a hill. They come across what looks to be is that a small village.
There seems to be, once you get to like kind of the edge, there's kind of like the path kind of starts at the bottom of the hill into the village.
And there looks to be about seven buildings or structures all lined up kind of nicely in a small clearing. There are four on one side of a stone laid road and three on the other side.
It's.
It's. It's cloudy here. And the temperature, though it's now warmer than it was in that mist that you were in. It's about 15 degrees cooler than it was in the woods.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: Holy cow.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: Wow.
And it's cloudy. Yes.
Yes.
[00:04:47] Speaker A: Can I attempt to count the houses?
[00:04:49] Speaker B: Yes, you may.
What'd you get?
[00:04:54] Speaker A: Nine.
[00:04:54] Speaker B: There are seven houses, except none of them are houses.
They're buildings.
So, yeah, this road, the road looks like ancient. Like it looks like it has been here a while, but somehow it's been like well kept. Do you keep following the road?
[00:05:16] Speaker C: Yes, I keep following the road.
[00:05:19] Speaker B: Okay. Upon entering the village, about 200ft from where the road began at the bottom of the hill, you stand at the cusp of this village. Closer now you can see that to your direct left.
[00:05:36] Speaker A: Hold on.
[00:05:38] Speaker B: So to the north. Yeah. So on this side.
So the players are looking at the map.
[00:05:47] Speaker A: West.
[00:05:49] Speaker B: That is yeast. Yeah.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: East.
[00:05:53] Speaker B: Sore. You can see that. To your left there's a bookstore.
It is a shop. It looks in pristine condition.
You can see books lined up in the shop windows. The sign above the door just says Books in common.
[00:06:11] Speaker A: To the point.
[00:06:12] Speaker B: Lantern light somewhere inside can be seen from the street.
And there's a sign on the window flipped to Say open.
What's your name?
Do you have keen mind?
You do have keen mind. Okay, well, it was about.
[00:06:28] Speaker A: It was about midday.
[00:06:29] Speaker B: Yeah, it was about midday when you went into the FA. It's probably like 2:00pm Okay, 3:00pm Yes, 2:00pm exactly. Got it. Yeah.
So there's that building next to it. You guys keep walking.
[00:06:42] Speaker A: Yes, sure.
[00:06:43] Speaker B: Next to that bookstore. Why won't my pin close?
I think the threads are broken.
[00:06:50] Speaker A: If they're plastic, you.
[00:06:51] Speaker C: You gotta read in front of.
[00:06:53] Speaker B: Yeah, okay.
Oh, I thought I had it. No. Okay, I'm just gonna step back there.
So next to the bookstore still on the north side of the quote unquote village, there's a small wooden and stone built shop that looks almost like a toadstool mushroom. Oh, it has white stone that looks like it's just been cleaned and a red rounded roof with white spots painted neatly on it. There's a chimney atop it and you notice there's smoke coming out of it.
Beautiful poppies and daisies are in a planter box under each window. And upon further inspection you see there's a lantern that's been lit hanging beside the door. The windows seem to be fogged up, but there are a couple tables and chairs sitting outside of this shop set nicely with red and white checkered place settings. And above the door is a swinging sign with what looks to be a teacup and saucer.
[00:07:53] Speaker A: That one's a cup.
It's a tea.
[00:07:56] Speaker C: They probably should have drinks.
[00:07:57] Speaker A: Jackie, I meant to ask this way earlier.
[00:07:59] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: I'm supposed to have another language. Is there a language that I should have gotten?
[00:08:04] Speaker B: What languages do you speak?
[00:08:05] Speaker A: Common Aquan. Draconic Android.
Oh, tortle. Yeah, Water people language.
Water dialect for the primordial tongue, I.
[00:08:17] Speaker B: Would say in the Druid lands. I say you would know. Sylvan.
[00:08:21] Speaker A: I say I have Sylvan.
[00:08:28] Speaker B: So going back across from the bookstore, so directly south, right, when you enter the village, the closest building to your right, you see what you could barely call a building.
Half of the place looks as though it could cave in on itself at any moment. The lumber looks partially charred.
A sign. Do you guys kind of. Do you get anyone walk up to it a little bit to see stuff? Okay.
A sign lays split in half right in front of the door that's partially ripped off its hinges.
And it's in two halves and it looks like two halves of a loot.
Do you kind of look around? Do you kind of investigate?
[00:09:12] Speaker A: Can I investigate?
[00:09:13] Speaker B: Yes, you can.
[00:09:21] Speaker A: 24.
[00:09:22] Speaker B: Oh yeah. You see a bunch of A bunch of.
You see, like, things are, like, gleaming in the sun a little bit.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: They're gleaming. They're gleaming.
[00:09:32] Speaker B: And upon further inspection, when you're, like, looking through it, it's destroyed. Flutes and horns peeking in the window of just, like, the one little part that's still standing, that's shattered. You can kind of peek through the window that there's no more glass in. You see some old instruments, some lutes, drums of various sizes that are ripped through. Mandolins, all destroyed to some extent.
Nothing. Nothing.
Anything.
[00:10:00] Speaker A: I'm just ever mouth on the shoulder and I go, not books.
Nope, that's correct.
[00:10:08] Speaker B: I nod and walk away next to it.
If you go further down on the south side of the village.
[00:10:15] Speaker A: So that was this building?
[00:10:17] Speaker B: Yes.
Across from the tea shop, you see another nearly pristine building, though.
[00:10:22] Speaker A: No.
[00:10:24] Speaker B: Is it popcorn?
[00:10:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: He'll be okay.
[00:10:31] Speaker A: You look. Oh, brain. Daniel's wrestling at a.
[00:10:35] Speaker B: Diggle.
Diggle, over here. Hey, come over here. You could. The popcorn is in your seat.
It's in nearly pristine condition. It's covered in vines and ivy, and it looks to be maybe two stories.
Maybe there's like a small living quarters kind of up on the top level. You would think there's a chimney atop of it as well.
Lights in the upstairs window seem to be lit. The building is of wood and stone, like the other seemingly open shops. The wood you can see under the ivy is painted a pale shade of green, pink and orange. Roses are planted sporadically around the lot. And a sign above the door painted in pale pink letters reads, textiles and fabrics in common books, maybe.
On to you. Keep walking down and onto your left, back to your left. Next to the tea shop, you see another dilapidated building. This one is complete rubble. There's not a wall stand.
It's just rubble. Does anyone go.
Does anyone want to investigate?
[00:11:50] Speaker A: Yeah, I go with Mallon.
[00:11:52] Speaker B: Okay, you want to investigate as well? Do you want to assist?
[00:11:54] Speaker A: No. Whatever he looks at, I pull out a hand. Action. I poke. Okay, that's gonna be a natural one. So that's gonna be six.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: It's gonna be six dm. Yes.
[00:12:11] Speaker A: I truly understand if the answer is no. I mean, it makes sense.
[00:12:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:17] Speaker A: Is my presence offering him assistance in his investigation or. Absolutely not. Because I understand if it's.
[00:12:23] Speaker B: Are you looking at all. Are you trying to look for anything in the rubble?
[00:12:28] Speaker A: I am poking things with my hand axe. That's what I said I'm doing. I understand if that's not advantage.
[00:12:35] Speaker B: He's poking things.
[00:12:36] Speaker A: Okay, that's an 11. That's a little better.
[00:12:41] Speaker B: That'll do it.
[00:12:42] Speaker A: All right.
[00:12:44] Speaker B: This building has forgot the thing.
It was burnt down. You can tell it was burnt down.
[00:12:50] Speaker A: Okay, good.
[00:12:53] Speaker B: As you're looking around and as Graph is poking things, you start noticing. What's your name?
[00:13:01] Speaker A: Graff, apparently.
[00:13:02] Speaker B: What is your name?
[00:13:05] Speaker A: My last name is Paper.
I can't read my writing.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: I will never.
[00:13:13] Speaker A: Something bleeding.
[00:13:17] Speaker B: As he's poking things, and he's, like, picking it up. Are you poking it with a sword or something?
[00:13:22] Speaker A: A hand axe.
[00:13:23] Speaker B: With a hand axe. So as he's doing that, like, he lifts up with his hand axe if this is okay. And it's like. It's like burlap sacks and, like, in common, it says, like.
It says, like, soil.
You see, like, seeds scattered around. You find some gardening tools.
[00:13:44] Speaker A: Well, I think we found the cause of this blight they're talking about. I look at Mallory and I look at the. Look at the burlap.
[00:13:51] Speaker C: Hey, is it, like a garden shop?
[00:13:54] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:13:56] Speaker A: What is it written?
Well, that one says soil, so dirt. There's a bunch of seeds everywhere.
[00:14:06] Speaker B: And it used to be a garden shop. Yeah. Roll me or tell me odds or even.
[00:14:12] Speaker A: I like my odds.
[00:14:14] Speaker B: You like your odds.
Oh, crap. That's not my. That's not my.
[00:14:22] Speaker A: I think there was a fire.
You're right.
Yeah.
[00:14:29] Speaker B: You pick up, you see something really, really shiny, and it's like.
Do you. You eat it?
[00:14:37] Speaker A: No. I get it in my mouth, though. What does it taste like?
[00:14:40] Speaker B: Metal.
[00:14:48] Speaker A: And I just cough it up at Malon's feet.
[00:14:50] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:14:51] Speaker A: Malin's gonna stoop down and look at it.
[00:15:00] Speaker B: Sorry. This is a. This is a gold coin, but it doesn't look like any coin that's used in crime.
[00:15:08] Speaker A: Cool.
[00:15:08] Speaker B: It has something on it. You want to do a nature check for me?
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Yes.
Oh, my gosh. Not one for an eight.
[00:15:18] Speaker B: Okay. You. This looks really familiar. Do you want to take it over to your other druid?
[00:15:24] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah, that's good. I, like, kind of reach down and squish it back up with my hand. And I have a surprising amount of spit for a bird. I can tell. And he walks over to Crawley.
Yes. You know this.
[00:15:36] Speaker B: And dropping his hand, you immediately know that is the gold coins. This gold coin has a dragon on it.
[00:15:45] Speaker A: I. I didn't recognize a dragon.
[00:15:48] Speaker B: You wouldn't. I don't think you would have ever actually seen one. You would have heard of them and talked about them. But he would know what they look like.
[00:15:55] Speaker A: Makes sense.
I grab the coin.
[00:15:58] Speaker B: It's a crude, crude Crude drawing.
[00:16:01] Speaker A: I try to get as much of the yuckiness off of it as I now find this a holy relic.
I don't have recognition, but I like with druid crafted hand you can make like wind kind of to dry the spit. Yeah. Make it more gelatinous. Yeah. It blows in my face. Yeah.
I look at it.
Can I figure out whose image is trying to be of or what kind of dragon? I'm guessing golden dragon, but yeah.
How would I do that?
[00:16:32] Speaker B: Do a.
[00:16:37] Speaker A: Historian.
[00:16:38] Speaker B: Yeah. I'm thinking history. Okay.
[00:16:39] Speaker A: I have this cool feature that lets me actually add my proficiency to this because it's specifically the dragons.
Oh, is your SOP class from Fizbend?
No, it's from.
No, I can't think of the name. Griffin Saddlebag. There it is. Oh, oh, right, right, right, right, right, right, right.
[00:16:58] Speaker B: You got a two?
[00:16:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I got one, so.
[00:17:00] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:17:01] Speaker A: Our proficiency bonus is two, three. So three plus three. No.
[00:17:11] Speaker B: It just looks like.
[00:17:12] Speaker A: Oh yeah, you said two.
Three total.
[00:17:15] Speaker B: Three total. It just looks like a draft if.
[00:17:18] Speaker A: You roll the one minus one modifier. But a plus two in my mind. I said give me two. That roll.
[00:17:22] Speaker B: Do you look for any.
Do you look for any more of these coins?
[00:17:26] Speaker A: Yeah, I. I say where did you find these? It's over in this building over here. Fire.
[00:17:33] Speaker C: I help him search.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: You help him search? Yeah. Okay. Do an investigation check at Advantage.
[00:17:37] Speaker A: Do you have better investigation dm?
As he searches, I'm poking things that he looks at without Advantage. I also need.
There you go. I'm not helping. Yeah, but I'm poking too soon. I love that.
[00:17:50] Speaker B: Odds are evens.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Okay. I like my odds.
[00:17:54] Speaker C: I got a ten.
[00:17:55] Speaker B: Two. Sorry.
[00:17:56] Speaker A: It's good. That's okay. I'm just poking stuff with a hand.
[00:17:59] Speaker B: You got a 10.
Okay.
You find a silver coin. Oh, and it has something echo on it. It's hard to tell. Like there's. There's ash on it. It's like caked on there. Yeah.
Do you want to do a nature check to see if you can tell what's on there?
[00:18:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I could get the ash off.
[00:18:23] Speaker C: I'm going to look at it first, but thank you.
[00:18:26] Speaker A: He's presenting his mouth open.
[00:18:29] Speaker C: I got a 14.
[00:18:31] Speaker B: 14.
That looks like something you might have seen before. And it kind of looks like something mixed with something.
Something near me. Something. What? Who?
I don't know. Do you show it to anyone?
[00:18:46] Speaker C: Yeah, I show it to.
[00:18:50] Speaker A: You can show it to the boss, I guess.
[00:18:52] Speaker C: Mallon.
[00:18:53] Speaker B: Should I guess my husband?
[00:18:56] Speaker A: Dm, Can I see It.
Does it look like a dog?
[00:19:00] Speaker B: No.
[00:19:01] Speaker A: Nature, right?
[00:19:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:06] Speaker A: 22. There he is.
[00:19:08] Speaker B: Okay. I'm not sure how you didn't know what a dragon was.
[00:19:13] Speaker A: I forgot. Alzheimer's.
I pointed out the outline.
[00:19:17] Speaker B: Yeah, this silver one.
I've heard of these. I've never seen one in person, but you've seen drawings, you've studied and all. It has a.
It has a dragon turtle on it.
[00:19:33] Speaker A: A dragon turtle? A dragon turtle, but not a dragon.
The thing that you realize I had.
[00:19:39] Speaker B: Never heard of until now.
They're crazy.
[00:19:44] Speaker A: They're a kind of drag.
[00:19:45] Speaker B: Do you show it to anyone?
[00:19:46] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. I'm gonna show it to him first. Like, Roderick would love this.
No, my name's Gath.
I'm not talking about you.
[00:19:59] Speaker B: You did play a Rodrigo.
[00:20:00] Speaker A: I did.
[00:20:01] Speaker B: I called you Roddy.
[00:20:03] Speaker A: Oh, Roger would love you. Why do you think that they have all these beasts on these coins?
Well, 3,000 years ago, dragons roamed the realm.
They gave birth to many magical things and protected us in their weird wardens.
But, oh, it was 1500 years ago. Since the change, they all disappeared, never to be seen of again.
[00:20:40] Speaker B: Kral, you search and you find four more of those silver ones with a dragon turtle on it. And then you find one platinum piece.
And again, these are not ones that look like the currency of the world. These are. You can tell the metals because they are the same, like, size and shape and feel of those, but they're weird. But this platinum one, it's like.
It's weird. It's like.
[00:21:12] Speaker A: It's like a music change.
[00:21:14] Speaker B: It's super scorched black in the middle.
You can't tell what used to be on it.
And you flip it over, and it's super scorched black on it as well.
And they seem to have, like, an almost iridescent, perfectly lined purple border around each of the scorches.
[00:21:35] Speaker A: Okay. Sick. Description? Dm. That's really cool.
[00:21:39] Speaker B: Thank you.
[00:21:39] Speaker A: I'm into that object. Would I know why it's purple? Like, would I have enough knowledge to know about, like, how heat treatment of metals can change colors or something? Jackie definitely thought of do.
[00:21:52] Speaker B: You can. Do. You can make a. You can make.
You can make a.
Ah.
[00:22:01] Speaker A: How do you say it?
[00:22:02] Speaker B: Well, how do. No, I have an answer. But I'm. I have an answer. But how do you do. How do you have people make checks without showing your hand?
[00:22:08] Speaker A: Different girls will be different.
You're the. You're the dm. Present it however you will, and we will take it with. We're not trying to beat your game. We're playing it.
[00:22:16] Speaker B: Do a religion check for me.
[00:22:19] Speaker A: Okay.
I'll give an advantage because I'm proficient.
You don't have to say yes.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Are you, like, is he. Is he, like. Is he talking out loud saying, like. What is this?
[00:22:33] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I would be.
[00:22:34] Speaker B: I would give him advice.
[00:22:37] Speaker A: I just read your die. No.
[00:22:40] Speaker B: Okay, there we go.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: It's gonna be another 22.
[00:22:43] Speaker B: It's gonna be a 22. I don't know about you.
This. You don't know where you've seen this, and you don't know what's the highest you could get on this check.
I'm asking you, like, if you rolled perfect.
[00:23:04] Speaker A: If I rolled in that 20, that'd be a super. Then 25.
[00:23:08] Speaker B: Okay. I just wanted to make sure that my DC was not above what you could actually roll.
[00:23:12] Speaker A: It's okay if it is.
[00:23:13] Speaker B: It was DC25. Oh, but you rolled a 22 and you.
This looks so familiar. And you know, this.
This belongs to a deity.
There's some. Something.
And you feel.
Oh, sorry. A weird.
It's not a good feeling. You feel, oh, no.
And that's all.
[00:23:42] Speaker A: Okay, well, I would communicate. This.
This isn't good.
I'll probably throw that back in the bio. Okay.
[00:23:50] Speaker B: He just chucks it.
[00:23:51] Speaker A: I dm.
[00:23:54] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:23:55] Speaker A: I understand. If I don't, do I have the urge to chase it?
[00:24:00] Speaker B: Does it trigger odds or evens?
[00:24:02] Speaker A: Like a predator?
[00:24:03] Speaker B: Odds are even.
[00:24:04] Speaker A: I like my odds.
[00:24:06] Speaker B: A four.
You know better.
[00:24:09] Speaker A: I'm good.
[00:24:12] Speaker B: Across from the gardening shop rubble, there's a building still standing, but by the looks of it, it's abandoned. The paint on the outside is peeling. No lights are on. Few of the windows are smashed. There are overgrown weeds around it, dead flowers. It smells of dirt, metallic, and maybe something dead.
A sign hanging from one chain, loosely strung up and kind of sideways because one of the chains broke. Shows a symbol with a circle within a circle within a circle.
There are swirls throughout the circle going different directions and.
[00:24:53] Speaker C: What do you mean going different directions?
[00:24:55] Speaker B: Let me. Let me. Let me pull it up.
[00:24:57] Speaker A: Are we talking, like, triskelion or.
It's a, you know, tattoo. Let's think. Like a little. No, it's not.
From each one, there's a little spiral, each one going the same way.
[00:25:11] Speaker C: So it's kind of like what?
[00:25:13] Speaker A: Actually, yeah, I can just.
No, I mean, that's the Star of.
[00:25:19] Speaker C: David, but it has.
[00:25:21] Speaker A: This is basically a triskelion.
[00:25:24] Speaker B: It kind of looks like this. Oh, shit. What happened? It went away.
[00:25:29] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:25:30] Speaker B: It kind of Looks like that.
[00:25:33] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:25:35] Speaker B: Cool.
[00:25:36] Speaker A: That has something that's awesome. Magic.
[00:25:38] Speaker B: Does anyone want to do an arcana check?
[00:25:40] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:25:44] Speaker C: Oh, me too.
[00:25:45] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
9. Even with ridiculous modifiers, anyone can do it.
[00:25:50] Speaker B: Anyone can do it.
[00:25:55] Speaker A: Dude, you're gonna get higher than me.
Yeah, I got a 15.
[00:26:03] Speaker B: What was yours?
[00:26:04] Speaker A: Nine.
I just rolled.
[00:26:07] Speaker B: You got a 15?
[00:26:08] Speaker A: Yep. No, I don't know how to read what it says.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: But it's just a symbol.
[00:26:13] Speaker A: I'm just reading.
[00:26:15] Speaker C: I did, but I got an eight.
[00:26:16] Speaker B: Okay.
You don't know where this is in your memory? No, but this is some. You've heard of this word called skull school.
And there's different. Different Schools. School. Schools of different types of ma.
The magic. The magic. The sparkly stuff that people do.
And this is some kind of thing to do with that.
[00:26:49] Speaker A: This was a school. I don't know dragons, and I don't recognize a symbol with all the schools of magic represented on it. That's crazy. But you know a dragon? Turtle. But I know a dragon. I just point at the building and I say, stool.
Shall we head inside?
Okay. And I walk up and I kick the door in.
[00:27:11] Speaker B: You kicked the door in. Lovely.
[00:27:13] Speaker A: No, Noah's right. I go with the head with the neck. I rear the neck, flex far more muscles than around the neck, and I pound the door in with my head. Or I try.
[00:27:24] Speaker B: Okay, so you go in this. This magicy store.
[00:27:27] Speaker A: No, I try to knock the doors off the hinges with my head.
[00:27:30] Speaker C: Which are we in? This one.
[00:27:31] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:27:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:34] Speaker C: Wait, the big one?
[00:27:35] Speaker A: No, this one.
[00:27:36] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:27:36] Speaker A: This is the last place we haven't been. Question mark. We haven't found the Riddlers enough. The Riddlers.
So we can't go. Instrument. Yeah, instrument. Stor.
We didn't go books. This is like tea, coffee. This is.
[00:27:49] Speaker B: And remember, several of these places look like they're open, but you have not seen.
[00:27:53] Speaker A: We haven't tried. Succeed. What happens with the door?
[00:27:57] Speaker B: It just falls. It's like it's old.
[00:28:00] Speaker A: This is an abandoned party.
I give him my thumbnail. Very good. Very good. Gas.
[00:28:06] Speaker B: Very good. He left his perception.
Okay, as you guys are walking from the. Like, y' all have just passed, like, the textile. Like, you were at the gardening shop. And as you're walking to the magic shop, you see.
You don't know what it is, but you see movement or blur.
Run between.
Like, not run, but like a movement between the textile shop and.
[00:28:31] Speaker A: Oh, between buildings.
[00:28:34] Speaker B: Is it coming? No.
[00:28:34] Speaker C: Oh, it's okay.
[00:28:36] Speaker A: Which? Oh, he had the highest path.
[00:28:38] Speaker B: So you just saw Some movement. It's just out of the corner of his eye. It just looked like a blur. It could be. It could be a deer. Like, who knows?
[00:28:48] Speaker C: While we're going in, I'm gonna ask if I can look at the coins, and I'm gonna cast the tech magic again.
[00:28:55] Speaker B: You don't see anything? Okay.
[00:28:57] Speaker C: They look. They look just.
[00:29:00] Speaker A: This looks like the spitting image of Roderick.
He's a good guy.
I have his tooth. As I bring out the tooth that, I'm like, he loses them every few years.
I think he's a tooth out of character.
How? I mean, like, two, three feet. How big is Roderick?
[00:29:21] Speaker B: Roderick's pretty big.
[00:29:22] Speaker A: Roderick is the spitting image of this dragon turtle coin.
[00:29:25] Speaker B: But, like, 10 times is like, hey, everyone.
[00:29:28] Speaker A: I thought he was, like, super short.
And I was over there going, two rod.
There can only be one.
[00:29:42] Speaker B: Do you guys go in this, like.
[00:29:44] Speaker A: Well, I smashed the door, the doors, off the base of my head.
[00:29:48] Speaker B: There's no light, but there's enough. There's enough daylight coming in because there's like. I mean, there's, like, holes all through this dm.
[00:29:55] Speaker A: How's the structural integrity of this building?
[00:29:57] Speaker B: It's okay.
[00:29:58] Speaker A: Like, it hasn't been what you want to hear.
[00:30:01] Speaker B: It hasn't been well kept up, but it's still standing. And as you're walking, it's.
[00:30:08] Speaker A: That's not good. Okay. 500 pounds. Am I going through this?
Because I won't go If I put my footage.
I'll stay out here and then.
[00:30:21] Speaker B: But. But you gotta test it. You're gonna test it and you're like, hey, it should be fine.
[00:30:27] Speaker A: Do I want fire in this one too?
No, no, not yet. I can do fire.
[00:30:32] Speaker B: Nodge it. That's okay.
There's a bunch of shelves and stuff.
There's some things on it.
[00:30:40] Speaker A: And this is another tavern. I swear to God.
[00:30:43] Speaker B: You can tell it was a store. Like, you can definitely tell this was a shop.
[00:30:46] Speaker C: It was a tavern store.
[00:30:47] Speaker B: What I'm.
[00:30:48] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh.
[00:30:49] Speaker B: What I'm gonna do is because this is.
This may be unconventional, but as a dm, I'm gonna have each of you.
Are you guys looking to see if you can find anything else? Yeah.
[00:31:03] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, we're looking around.
[00:31:04] Speaker B: Are you. Are you looking around?
[00:31:06] Speaker A: I'm looking for an enemy.
[00:31:09] Speaker B: An enemy?
[00:31:10] Speaker A: Or anything shiny. The group's been really into shiny stuff so far.
[00:31:15] Speaker B: So you're kind of going through things though, right?
[00:31:18] Speaker A: Yes, but for enemies and shinies. If it's not one of those two, I'm not into It.
[00:31:23] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:31:24] Speaker A: I am actually not going to be looking for anything. I'm going to be making sure I keep eyes on all my friends.
[00:31:28] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:31:29] Speaker A: And also to see if that thing falls in the workplace.
So I'm basically gonna be like, okay, everyone, go look for your stuff. Do not leave my eyes.
He just sits there.
[00:31:39] Speaker B: Okay. Are you, like, on the kind of like, on the edge of the door frame or something?
[00:31:44] Speaker A: Inside. I'll let them, like, go into buildings.
I can't see you. Gav, come back. Sorry, Sorry.
[00:31:52] Speaker B: So, y' all three.
Each of you roll a D100 for me.
[00:32:00] Speaker A: So that's fine.
[00:32:00] Speaker C: The two that look exactly the same.
[00:32:02] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, you roll those two.
[00:32:03] Speaker A: These two.
[00:32:04] Speaker C: One of them is the.
[00:32:06] Speaker A: The tins place. And one is the.
[00:32:07] Speaker B: So I got a 14.
[00:32:08] Speaker A: I'm guessing that those.
14 and the single. Yes. Yeah. 66. That's a great number.
[00:32:16] Speaker B: 66 is what you got.
Okay, so you find one healing potion.
[00:32:30] Speaker A: All right. A magic shop, duh. I was so deep in my bit, I forgot to think about the information. She told me you were so immersed, you forgot to.
[00:32:37] Speaker B: Actually, you rolled a 66.
You find a demon.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: A vorpal sword.
[00:32:44] Speaker B: You find.
And you can look this up, or I can hand you the dmg. You find a broom of flying.
[00:32:51] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
You just stumbled on one of the better items in the game.
[00:32:56] Speaker B: Okay, so you can put that in your inventory.
[00:32:58] Speaker A: Yes, please.
[00:33:00] Speaker B: And what did you roll?
[00:33:01] Speaker A: A Nimbus2030.
[00:33:05] Speaker B: Sorry, 30.
Okay. You found one. Potion of invisibility. Ooh.
[00:33:14] Speaker A: Him with invisibility is terrifying.
[00:33:16] Speaker B: That really is.
[00:33:17] Speaker A: Can I pick it up?
[00:33:20] Speaker B: It. You can't see anything. Well, maybe I should have had you guys do archives.
There's a sign that says what these things are.
[00:33:28] Speaker A: I can't read.
[00:33:30] Speaker B: You packed up bottles of, like, clear, like, sparkly liquid in a.
[00:33:35] Speaker A: No, no, no. Hold on, hold on. We split up to look for stuff we did.
[00:33:38] Speaker B: Right.
[00:33:40] Speaker A: Hold on. Metagame's a fourth level spell. She doesn't have that one yet.
Of course. Possibly was looking at her.
[00:33:46] Speaker B: Yeah, he was watching everyone in every room.
[00:33:48] Speaker A: Guys, let me do some shenanigans.
[00:33:49] Speaker B: It was one big room. That is the tiny building.
[00:33:53] Speaker A: Okay, I open the bottle, I uncork it, and I. We're looking away at the. And as I sniff it, each of the little tear tattoos flare with my nostrils. What does it smell like? Dm?
Nothing. Right.
[00:34:04] Speaker B: It smells.
It smells like.
[00:34:10] Speaker A: Sorry.
[00:34:12] Speaker B: It smells like sponge sugar and blueberries.
[00:34:20] Speaker A: What's his favorite food?
[00:34:21] Speaker C: Smells like. Smells like frozen peas.
[00:34:26] Speaker A: Dm.
[00:34:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:34:30] Speaker A: Does it? How much is there in the bottle?
[00:34:32] Speaker B: It's like, it's like. I would say it's like a three ounce little like clear glass bottle with like a.
[00:34:41] Speaker A: Like a. Maybe I hold it for a second and I look excited and then I re cork it because I've never had friends and I want to share my drink with my friends.
So I walk back and I go, alcohol.
[00:35:00] Speaker B: Oh, wow.
[00:35:01] Speaker C: Can I read it?
[00:35:03] Speaker A: That's not your voice. That's not your voice.
[00:35:05] Speaker B: Oh, wow. Can I read it?
[00:35:08] Speaker C: You're always picking on me for how I jog after.
[00:35:10] Speaker A: Everyone is in every day.
[00:35:11] Speaker B: Oh, you sound weird. You sound weird.
[00:35:16] Speaker A: I was gonna have you do 38. 38.
[00:35:20] Speaker B: 38.
[00:35:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: Roll one more time for me.
[00:35:24] Speaker A: Was that Also an invisibility 80? It's probably ranges like the table I have.
[00:35:32] Speaker B: You find a potion of resistance.
[00:35:37] Speaker A: Oh, whoa.
Crazy though potion resistance depending is pretty phenomenal. Well, for him especially because he's fast.
No, I mean, by the way Daniel looked up at me. He's already a tank bill.
[00:35:54] Speaker C: So can I read what it says?
[00:35:57] Speaker B: Does it shimmer with me?
Yeah, it has like, it's like a deep, deep purple and like almost like night blue.
[00:36:11] Speaker A: Like purple rain.
[00:36:12] Speaker B: Yeah, and it's kind of shimmery and.
[00:36:16] Speaker A: Each time I just kind of.
[00:36:18] Speaker B: You like the bottle. It's kind of like a lava layer. It's almost like oil.
[00:36:21] Speaker A: Like muscle reaches out and grabs it.
[00:36:25] Speaker B: Like it doesn't want to like pec spread.
[00:36:28] Speaker A: Like just grabs. It's in your cleavage.
[00:36:32] Speaker B: There's a couple peck pops, you know as an arcade. Like my swallowing it down.
[00:36:39] Speaker A: Dislocate your rib cage real quick to get it through. Oh my goodness. I can resist deep purple. Guys.
You can resist deep purple? What does that mean?
[00:36:48] Speaker C: Purple is transmuta. Purple is transmutation.
[00:36:50] Speaker A: Have you all ever seen purple rain?
[00:36:53] Speaker B: Purple rain, Purple rain.
[00:36:57] Speaker A: Now you've done it. That's her favorite song.
[00:37:00] Speaker B: What are you guys doing? Are you invisibility potioning or should we.
[00:37:04] Speaker A: Burn the house now? No, we shall leave it and maybe go talk to someone in the building.
[00:37:09] Speaker C: I think we should go in one of the buildings.
[00:37:10] Speaker A: The tea shop sound good?
[00:37:12] Speaker B: Okay, do an odds or somebody give me an odds or evens real quick.
[00:37:16] Speaker A: All of our voices are so mellifluous.
[00:37:18] Speaker B: And pleasant to the earth.
[00:37:24] Speaker A: This would be such a good listening experience for others.
[00:37:29] Speaker C: I'm always telling Malon we're so youth and young.
One of my bones.
[00:37:36] Speaker B: Just great as you guys.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: I go over and relocate her shoulder.
[00:37:41] Speaker B: As you guys are walking out you.
Something catches your eye and you find another human.
[00:37:55] Speaker A: Another one. This place is a treasure trove. Yeah. Holy crap.
[00:37:59] Speaker B: I'm really sad that Clara wasn't here.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: Oh, never mind.
[00:38:06] Speaker B: Do you guys think.
[00:38:07] Speaker C: Because do you guys think that my cause Claire Clay is gone and the guy that gave us the riddle told us or the cryptic message told us to all stick together. Do you think that we won't be able to solve the one shot?
[00:38:22] Speaker A: I stomp.
[00:38:23] Speaker C: And I think about how we all stick together.
[00:38:25] Speaker A: I think about how Welby said that friends all have to stay together. And I just drop to my knees, I pull out both of my hand axes and I go, Clara.
[00:38:37] Speaker B: It's gotta be cla.
[00:38:38] Speaker C: How did she say it? Oh, Clara.
[00:38:41] Speaker B: Clara.
[00:38:42] Speaker A: And then I get back up, put my wife's up and I walk to the. To the fungus.
I walk to the.
[00:38:47] Speaker B: You go to the tea shop.
[00:38:47] Speaker A: I stop remarkably quickly. What? Nothing.
And do we notice the big question mark?
[00:38:54] Speaker B: So yeah, yeah, yeah. So as you're walking out of the. The magic store, you kind of look to the right and whoa.
[00:39:03] Speaker A: Everything yelling there next.
[00:39:06] Speaker B: Kind of at an angle. There is a much.
Much.
There is a much.
[00:39:19] Speaker A: I'm looking for something that's so much.
You guys see that? Look at how much it is.
I've never seen that much.
[00:39:28] Speaker B: I'm trying to make much larger structure than the other six buildings.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: So large.
[00:39:34] Speaker C: It's so much.
[00:39:36] Speaker A: It's more than a leave.
How much is it?
It's better the size maybe.
I've never seen that much.
[00:39:55] Speaker B: It's a completely different architecture as well.
[00:40:01] Speaker A: Whoa.
[00:40:02] Speaker B: What's the.
[00:40:03] Speaker C: What's the wood on the door?
[00:40:04] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
What wood is the door made out of? Is it much like brick?
[00:40:10] Speaker B: The wood on the door is black.
[00:40:14] Speaker A: That's not good.
[00:40:15] Speaker B: You can't tell if it's painted or it's just black. It's hard to tell from where you are at the.
It almost feels. The whole thing is like massive. It like blocks.
It blocks the, like part of the sky from where you're looking at.
It's quite grand in a sense, but it feels foreboding to look at. Oh, it's not new looking in the slightest, but it also doesn't look unkept.
Unlike any structure in this valley. It is made of black stone, smooth and slick like oil. Almost an onyx.
It has a domed roof and tall sharp spires reaching up to the sky.
[00:41:00] Speaker A: Cool description.
[00:41:01] Speaker B: If.
Do you guys step any closer to it or are you still looking for it at a park?
[00:41:06] Speaker A: I think we were gonna go there and. Or go to the tea shop and then go back to dmi. I fully get distracted and walk towards the big building.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: You kind of go towards the side. Yes.
[00:41:18] Speaker A: My name's Grass and I've never seen that much grass.
[00:41:21] Speaker B: We gotta go get some tea. As he kind of walks around it, before you say that, you notice that off to like kind of the backside, there's. Some of the stone has been crumpled. Like some of it's like falling off, like.
Yes, like a big object hit it and kind of tumbled down.
There's not like a hole into the.
Into the place, but you just see it's kind of like coming down.
Other than that, the building is beautiful in its own strange, sinister way.
There are giant black wooden doors at the entrance. No flora or fauna around this building at all. Almost as if nothing could or would even want to grow near it.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: I wouldn't want to grow near that.
[00:42:04] Speaker B: There are no windows. And the only other thing of note is a large, perfectly round, scorched black circle on each of the two grand.
[00:42:14] Speaker A: Doors, kind of looking like that.
[00:42:16] Speaker B: Surrounding the black circle is an iridescent, gleaming purple circle.
Does anyone want to do a religion check?
[00:42:24] Speaker C: To me?
[00:42:24] Speaker B: I do.
[00:42:25] Speaker A: For me. Yes.
It's pretty. You all know this one?
[00:42:29] Speaker C: I got a 12.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: It's going to be 7, 18.
[00:42:33] Speaker B: Okay. So you realize, okay, this is definitely a temple of some kind. And those spires.
Those aren't spires. They're. They're like steeples. They're part of the. The temple.
[00:42:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Would we benefit at all from reducing the light?
[00:42:48] Speaker B: Yes, we would.
Thank you.
So that's it. You go. You go have some tea.
[00:42:56] Speaker A: I guess I go to the big block.
Kath, come back. It's beautiful. It is. But we're coming right back, we're gonna talk to some people and then we'll be back to the place of death.
[00:43:08] Speaker C: We gotta stick together, remember, guys, we.
[00:43:10] Speaker A: Haven'T killed anything today.
We'll come into that. Something tells me we might kill something in that building. But we.
[00:43:17] Speaker C: But later, later, later.
[00:43:19] Speaker A: You don't want to be like Clara.
[00:43:20] Speaker B: Right?
[00:43:22] Speaker A: And don't stick together.
No, no, no, he's right.
[00:43:25] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:43:26] Speaker A: And then, and then I. I flap. I can wing. Beat myself 15ft in the air.
[00:43:32] Speaker C: That.
[00:43:32] Speaker A: And then.
And then I glide over the tea shop.
[00:43:35] Speaker C: That's so scary now.
[00:43:36] Speaker B: Like glide over the tee shop.
[00:43:38] Speaker A: No, over to it.
[00:43:39] Speaker B: Because that's.
[00:43:40] Speaker A: We're here and that's 5, 10, 15, 20, 20. Yeah. So. And on the way now, DM, I can't help it. As all birds do, When I take off for flight, I need to reduce weight, so I anatomically automatically void my bowels at the scale of a humanoid. So I drop 8 pounds of humanoid bird poop in just one big.
Is that hitting my allies? Dm.
[00:44:03] Speaker C: No, because you're so far away from.
[00:44:05] Speaker A: Well, if I struggling at.
[00:44:09] Speaker B: No, but, but.
Wellbe. Odds or evens?
[00:44:19] Speaker C: Oh, wellbe.
[00:44:20] Speaker B: Yeah. Odds are evens.
[00:44:22] Speaker A: Look at me. I'm the chaos grim right now.
[00:44:24] Speaker C: This is you.
[00:44:25] Speaker A: You.
[00:44:26] Speaker B: You don't. But your husband steps in it.
[00:44:31] Speaker A: Okay. At least it doesn't land on you.
[00:44:33] Speaker B: Oh, look at you. You're always making a mess.
[00:44:35] Speaker C: You always step on bird poop when we go out.
[00:44:37] Speaker B: This is my free time.
[00:44:39] Speaker A: You're always just like your father.
You just wordless.
[00:44:49] Speaker B: As you are walking there while y' all two are distracted by the bird poop. This actually works really well.
You see, from the bookstore to the tea shop in between, there's like a little alleyway. Yeah, you're like kind of coming around to the entrance of the thing and through that alleyway, you see movement again.
[00:45:08] Speaker C: There's critters.
[00:45:09] Speaker B: There's critters going towards the T shop. No, no, no. Just.
[00:45:11] Speaker C: We're distracted.
[00:45:15] Speaker A: Like, to the back of the tea shop.
I'm gonna just.
I. I say I'll be right back. All right, I'm gonna go around the side.
Crawl. Friends, stay together. I know you see me.
Do you want me to go with you? Do you want to go with you?
And I get really low and I kind of like take out hand axes and I kind of crawl behind him.
I like to go to the back to see what it is. And I like non threateningly, but just.
[00:45:45] Speaker B: Slowly as you get to the back, you see the back door. Just.
Just kind of.
[00:45:51] Speaker A: Hello?
[00:45:52] Speaker B: Hello.
Just close this.
[00:45:57] Speaker A: I knock on the back door. We're in front of this.
[00:46:00] Speaker B: You knock on the back door at.
[00:46:03] Speaker A: The same time I'm on the front door. Yes.
[00:46:05] Speaker B: No. No answer. You knock on the front door. The front door has a sign on that says open.
[00:46:11] Speaker A: Well, can I like, see? Is it like black?
[00:46:13] Speaker B: Yeah, you can see in.
[00:46:14] Speaker A: Okay, then I'll just open the door. Okay.
[00:46:16] Speaker B: No answer to the back door.
[00:46:18] Speaker A: Hello? Dm. I point at the door.
I look at Krull, I point at my head, I do the finger across the neck and I do a question.
Oh, okay.
I'm an even man.
I'm odd. You are odd. I look at you dejectedly and I say, what could be the hurt I grab my hands on either side of the door frame and I.
And I flex all the muscles on my neck and I just.
[00:46:49] Speaker B: Go for it.
Are you trying to hit the door?
[00:46:55] Speaker A: I'm trying to take the door off.
[00:46:56] Speaker B: You're trying to take the door off?
[00:46:58] Speaker A: Some athletics.
[00:46:59] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess. I guess.
What's the. What is the DC of a door? I don't. I mean, not the dc, the ac.
[00:47:08] Speaker A: I'm just doing whatever chaotic crap I want. It feels good.
[00:47:11] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah.
[00:47:12] Speaker A: Do.
[00:47:12] Speaker B: Do a strength chat.
[00:47:14] Speaker A: Athletics or. Well, that's the same.
[00:47:18] Speaker B: Are you.
[00:47:19] Speaker A: It's okay.
Okay. Okay.
If you had kitties, right? If you did.
I had a one. Yeah. 12.
So 13 with the one.
[00:47:36] Speaker B: No, the door. The door goes.
The door.
You.
[00:47:46] Speaker A: It's always good to stump with you.
It's just. This is such a satisfying experience.
I love being on this side of things.
[00:47:55] Speaker B: You.
The door is not as heavy as it looks.
[00:47:59] Speaker A: Oh, no. And you.
[00:48:03] Speaker B: And your head is now in the door by your. You didn't. The door is still closed.
[00:48:11] Speaker A: Right.
[00:48:11] Speaker B: But your head is through the door.
[00:48:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:48:13] Speaker B: And you see, you're now kind of like. This is. This is shock. Okay. You see, you see, you're basically behind the counter at like, a little shop.
[00:48:24] Speaker A: I had.
I thought from the concussion I gave myself.
Or do I. Yeah. I don't know. Hold on, I need a drink for that. Abby. I put my head through a door.
It went. It's stairs gappy.
Wait, so we're inside when this happens.
[00:48:44] Speaker B: So you look over. Yeah, you two.
That you can see through the thing. So. So the lovely married couple sees.
[00:48:53] Speaker A: And.
[00:48:54] Speaker B: I'm like, in the back door.
[00:48:55] Speaker A: And I just look at him. After he, like, blinks, he looks at me. I'm a goat.
[00:49:04] Speaker B: Real quick, real quick.
[00:49:05] Speaker A: I gave myself a. Congratulations.
[00:49:06] Speaker B: Okay, back to them real quick before you suck your head through the door. When you walk in, what you see, what you two see is there's a few tables. There's lovely, like, tea lights on the can. On the. On the tables, there's just like a small little counter. There's a case with some cookies and cakes and stuff.
And there's a little menu with, like, three different teas on it that you can get. And there's a little. There's like a little hallway turning, and then you see the back door right behind the thing. But there's a hallway maybe leads to like, like a little kitchen or something like that.
[00:49:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:49:42] Speaker B: Okay. And then boom, head through.
[00:49:49] Speaker A: I give him the questioning hands, and then I point at the door behind Us. That is still, like, clinging shut. I guess I can't. I just gesture my head at it and I rub my chin back and forth on the door. And then I look puzzled, like. Do you want me to kill that door?
[00:50:05] Speaker B: Oh, my.
Who. Who are you?
[00:50:08] Speaker A: I throw it up, Mom.
[00:50:12] Speaker B: I throw up. Mama throwed up.
[00:50:19] Speaker A: Yes. It comes full circle.
[00:50:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:50:25] Speaker A: Oh, I'm so happy right now.
[00:50:31] Speaker B: You threw up.
I'm. I.
Why did you not use the excuse who are you?
And you see it standing in front of you.
A.
A small, little stout woman. She's very cute. She's got, like, a little button nose. She's a gnomish woman.
She's kind of elderly and.
[00:51:00] Speaker A: Short.
[00:51:01] Speaker B: Are you inside yet? Have you.
[00:51:03] Speaker A: Are you looking?
[00:51:09] Speaker B: Did you.
She's wearing a little hat with, like, a little daisy on it. And she's got little pearl earrings and a pearl necklace and you. You want to make a history? Check for me.
[00:51:25] Speaker A: Yes, please.
It's gonna be.
Yeah, 15.
[00:51:34] Speaker B: This looks like someone in that misery.
I remember a lady with a hat. She had a hat. She had a flower.
[00:51:42] Speaker C: Can I do a history?
[00:51:43] Speaker B: It was an old woman, Ms. Lena Gray. And she goes, what. What are you doing in my shop?
She has an apron on. She's got. She's dusting flour off her hands.
[00:51:55] Speaker C: Yeah, I. I'm so sorry.
[00:51:58] Speaker B: We.
[00:51:58] Speaker C: We came from the town. We're looking for.
[00:52:00] Speaker B: No, that's fine. It's just usually people use the entrance.
[00:52:04] Speaker A: And I pull my head out of the door and as I do, like, as my head goes in one side, throw up, comes out the other because of the. It just, like, covers the middle.
[00:52:13] Speaker B: We'll try and we'll fix it. We'll do our best we can to fix it. Okay? No, no worries. No worries.
[00:52:19] Speaker A: I walk around the building through the other door.
This door locked?
[00:52:23] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:52:25] Speaker A: There's a hole.
[00:52:25] Speaker B: Welcome to my shop. I guess I put my turtleneck. Oh, hello.
[00:52:30] Speaker A: There.
Very slowly, just like.
[00:52:34] Speaker B: Are you afraid of the other young man?
[00:52:37] Speaker A: I've now come in behind Malon and Welby.
[00:52:41] Speaker B: Welcome to my tea shop.
[00:52:43] Speaker A: What's your name, darling?
That's so creepy.
[00:52:49] Speaker B: It's very nice to me. My name is Lena. Lena Craig. Welcome. And she, like, holds out her hand, and then she realizes that she can't fit her hand in there.
She pulls it back.
[00:53:11] Speaker A: Really missed the part of the session she would have liked the most.
[00:53:15] Speaker B: Okay.
She jiggles the lock. She takes out a key, unlocks it.
I guess you can come in this way. I don't know if there's room for you to get back to the front.
[00:53:27] Speaker A: Do he fit in the doorway?
I actually.
[00:53:31] Speaker B: Now you may need to come through the fault.
I'm so sorry.
[00:53:35] Speaker A: Who just ran in here?
[00:53:37] Speaker B: I know we're not in here.
[00:53:39] Speaker A: Can I give an insight?
[00:53:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:53:43] Speaker A: 23.
[00:53:44] Speaker B: What do I do?
[00:53:45] Speaker C: Deception. If she's lying or deception persuasion.
[00:53:49] Speaker A: You don't. You don't need to specify. Yeah, you don't specify.
You probably shouldn't tell us actually.
[00:53:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
What did you roll, 23?
Something seems off. She's not. She's not quite telling you everything.
[00:54:04] Speaker A: I.
I think I recognize you from somewhere.
[00:54:08] Speaker B: You recognize me?
[00:54:09] Speaker A: Were you. Did you ever used to live in anywhere else around here?
[00:54:15] Speaker B: Oh, yes. Ages ago. I lived in Sun Valley, but I moved here. This is a lovely spot and I can open my tea shop here. It's very nice.
The weather's beautiful. The fog.
[00:54:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:54:28] Speaker B: It rains every now and then. There's a little bit of fog because we're in a valley, but it's not too bad.
[00:54:33] Speaker A: I look over at Welby and the look I give that she perceives as just from having been married so long is. Am I crazy? There was fog, right?
Like from old. Not crazy. Right.
I go.
[00:54:46] Speaker B: I go.
[00:54:49] Speaker C: And that is interpreted.
[00:54:51] Speaker A: Did you get that, listeners?
[00:54:52] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, there was fog. There definitely was. And it did hurt from over.
[00:54:57] Speaker A: From behind Welby. Over her shoulders. My head is just like above height, and I make eye contact with Mal and I point at the little lady and I did the question. And before you even did the question, I'm like. I nodded, understanding.
Who's your help?
[00:55:13] Speaker B: She saw it and she goes, excuse me, this is. This is Gaff.
[00:55:18] Speaker A: Are you friends?
[00:55:19] Speaker C: He's friends.
[00:55:21] Speaker B: This is.
[00:55:22] Speaker C: Okay, she's also our friend now.
[00:55:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Yes. That's all right. That's our tea.
[00:55:28] Speaker A: And yes, I walk up kind of close, a little vomit still on my beak, and I just.
[00:55:35] Speaker B: She hands him a dish rack.
You might want to wipe your face also.
[00:55:38] Speaker A: I take it and I go, you've given Gath a rag.
And I dab off my bill. And then I just. I just push it into my feathers and it disappears. And then I look at her, I put a hand on each shoulder and I go, oh. Oh, are we friends? Sure.
[00:55:56] Speaker B: Yes. Just please don't touch me. Thank you.
[00:55:58] Speaker A: Okay. Okay. And then I pull the rag out, I walk to the floor and I start cleaning on my vomit.
[00:56:03] Speaker B: Aw.
[00:56:04] Speaker A: During all this interaction, can I look.
[00:56:06] Speaker B: Around to see what are you. You investigating perception?
[00:56:11] Speaker A: I would like to percept it. Okay. Yeah. I don't think that's the kind I.
[00:56:16] Speaker B: Would like to percept it.
[00:56:17] Speaker A: I got an 8. I would like to percept.
[00:56:19] Speaker B: That looks like a normal running tea shop. Yeah, everything's nice. There's a few books sitting around. There's. It looks nice. It smells nice in here. It smells like cinnamon and maybe chocolates or.
[00:56:35] Speaker A: So who else do we need?
[00:56:37] Speaker B: Who helps me?
It's pretty much just me.
[00:56:42] Speaker A: Are you sure?
[00:56:44] Speaker B: Yes, I'm very sure. This is my shop. We don't have many customers. It's a small town.
Over next door we have Mr. Picado. He runs the bookstore, and he's a lovely man and he sells beautiful books, and I enjoy going over there and.
[00:57:03] Speaker A: Reading him Hansel here or whatever. I wrote Hansel and Gretel, but I can't remember which ones you wrote.
[00:57:10] Speaker B: Oh, no, I don't. I don't know anyone by that name. No.
[00:57:14] Speaker A: You know a nice sister, The Tabaxi lady who's got red fur?
[00:57:20] Speaker B: Lady with red fur. Oh. Oh, the orange. Oh.
[00:57:25] Speaker A: While she's thinking, I'm pulling out.
[00:57:27] Speaker B: Cadence. Cadence, Cadence. Lord. Yes. She, she. She. She stops in every now and then for spotter tea. And I think she helps out in the fabric stall.
[00:57:39] Speaker A: I'm going to show her the letter and be like, do you recognize this handwriting?
[00:57:48] Speaker B: No.
[00:57:49] Speaker A: Can I see if she's like, is it inside you inside?
21 for me. Natural 20s, over 22.
[00:58:02] Speaker B: You guys both noticed she's not looking you in the eyes and she. She hesitated a little bit. She didn't. She was like, no.
Something's.
She's not telling you the whole story. So what happened.
[00:58:14] Speaker C: What happened with the buildings that are kind of ruined? What happened there?
[00:58:18] Speaker B: Oh, yes, well, we had quite a. Some issues and. But those. Those burnt down, like, a few years ago.
My shop and the bookstore and the textile store, they. They've been rebuilt recently, and we're hoping, you know, like I said, it's very small, small village, and we're hoping to get, you know, some more. Some more people here or, you know, to move here or whatnot and help open the stores. Rebuild. Yeah.
[00:58:46] Speaker C: Who rebuilt the.
Your shop and the other shops?
[00:58:51] Speaker B: Oh, I rebuilt it myself with some help with some lovely young lads that came through here. I think they were on like a camping trip or something.
[00:59:01] Speaker A: Four of them?
[00:59:02] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah. There's like four or five.
And they helped build, and then they were on their Merry way.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: Ms. Crane?
[00:59:09] Speaker B: Yes?
[00:59:11] Speaker A: Gath is a very aggressive man.
[00:59:13] Speaker B: Oh, I saw that as you broke.
[00:59:15] Speaker A: My dad, killed Anyone. Oh, I just look at her and smile.
[00:59:18] Speaker B: I hope you haven't killed anyone.
[00:59:20] Speaker A: I. Very innocently, like, just matter of fact, I just look at her and smile like.
[00:59:24] Speaker B: No. Okay.
[00:59:25] Speaker A: He would really like to. Oh. Do you have anyone you need to die?
[00:59:29] Speaker B: No, I. That. We're not that kind of.
[00:59:31] Speaker A: Would you mind telling us, Crane? I don't even. I don't even get what the insinuation is. But I'm just smiling to persuade you otherwise.
[00:59:41] Speaker B: I don't. I can. Can I. Can I offer you a spot of tea first?
[00:59:45] Speaker A: I look at Crawl, confused. You can offer me the Mallon's gonna grip his staff in front of him just completely squ.
I love the old we got to kill you saying something.
[01:00:02] Speaker C: I'm, like, trying to distract Gaff. I see that G is looking and I'm like, g, let's go. I'm like. I'm like, let's go. Do you want to. Do you want to go look at the tea? We can smell it.
[01:00:12] Speaker A: I put a hand on your shoulder like, no. Okay. Dm Krul said something that was very different than Our Lady. And then Malon moved his staff. But then Welby asked me to tee.
What do I. Dm?
I don't understand.
Can I make a check of some kind?
[01:00:33] Speaker B: It's so conflicting.
[01:00:34] Speaker A: Dm. There's so much going on in my brain.
There's like two things.
Multitasking. Hard.
[01:00:42] Speaker B: Multitasking. Check.
[01:00:44] Speaker A: Thanks for the dm.
Are you so ready?
[01:00:48] Speaker B: I guess.
Insight check.
[01:00:55] Speaker A: I got a six. What do I make of all this? Dm?
[01:01:00] Speaker B: Dude, you really don't know. You're kind of hungry.
It smells really good in here. But you also really want to kill someone and you're just kind of happy to be with some friends right now.
[01:01:11] Speaker A: Okay.
I look at Welby.
I nod. I take out a hand ax.
[01:01:16] Speaker C: I look at Curl and I say.
[01:01:20] Speaker A: So I pull out a hand axe. I look at Welby, confused. I nod. I walk over to the scones. I get one. I start eating on it.
[01:01:26] Speaker B: And then I just walk back and look at her.
[01:01:28] Speaker A: Well. And I look back and I look at her with a hand axe, ready in hand, eating a scone, just looking real confused.
[01:01:33] Speaker B: Odds are evens.
[01:01:34] Speaker A: Absolutely. I like my odds. That's a really great way to, like, rectify between the two.
That's okay.
I like him.
He was glad. He was great while he lasted.
[01:01:54] Speaker B: I have to look something, guys.
[01:01:57] Speaker A: That's good. I'm gonna be okay.
I'm thinking about it. I feel pretty good.
I just Die.
You have a heart attack.
I mean, same thing happened to Clara.
[01:02:15] Speaker C: Ran away investigating them back.
[01:02:17] Speaker B: Can you make a. Can you make a concept for me?
[01:02:20] Speaker A: I really can.
What was in that scone?
[01:02:23] Speaker B: I don't know.
[01:02:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
17.
That's awesome.
I'm only good at two things, but I'm good at those two things. Yeah, you are.
Is there not a set dc?
[01:02:38] Speaker B: No, there is.
[01:02:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:02:39] Speaker B: You.
[01:02:43] Speaker A: Guys, I kind of like it. I don't know. It feels good.
[01:02:47] Speaker B: You start.
Oh, I'm Dr.
[01:02:49] Speaker A: Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait.
[01:02:52] Speaker B: You feel a tinge. You feel a tinge in your throat?
[01:02:54] Speaker A: Not my throat.
[01:02:56] Speaker B: Well, you. You ate it. I know, but my throat and you.
[01:03:02] Speaker A: It's the best part of me.
[01:03:06] Speaker B: You take five.
[01:03:07] Speaker A: Poison damage. Okay, Okay.
I go. I go.
That's true.
And as I get a little blood up, I put the scone down on the floor, and I look at her and I go, bam.
Scones are terrible.
[01:03:23] Speaker B: She goes to pick up the scone, and she goes, oh, you pull a thing. She puts it in her apron.
[01:03:27] Speaker C: I'm so sorry.
[01:03:27] Speaker B: You choked that. Are you okay? And she pats him on the shoulder.
[01:03:29] Speaker A: Can I do a medicine check on him just to, like, maybe see what kind of thing that would be while she's doing.
[01:03:37] Speaker B: Sorry, like, what exactly happens?
[01:03:39] Speaker A: Yeah, like, just.
[01:03:39] Speaker B: Just.
[01:03:40] Speaker A: What? What's that?
Or is there something deeper at work here? Dm, Can I make an int. I'm asking. Can I make an intelligence saving throw to possibly fail and have her actively deceive me on an. Obviously, yeah.
[01:03:53] Speaker B: Liam, that was a six, man. That's going not good.
[01:03:58] Speaker A: Definitely won't be you. I got a 15. I'm not scared.
[01:04:02] Speaker B: Dang it.
You were. Yes.
[01:04:05] Speaker C: Can I. While she's distracted with that, I'm gonna try and, like, I'm gonna cast the tech magic again.
It just says I can cast it at will, so I don't know what kind of.
[01:04:14] Speaker A: That's your.
[01:04:16] Speaker B: I know that smells awesome.
[01:04:18] Speaker C: At will without expending to spell slot.
[01:04:21] Speaker A: Warlocks are dope, right? Warlock, Eldritch, invocation, Warlocks are sick. You can thank Melon, for that.
[01:04:31] Speaker B: Matter.
[01:04:32] Speaker C: Yeah. But I'm gonna try and do it sneakily while she's distracted.
[01:04:36] Speaker B: Okay. So I cast.
[01:04:39] Speaker A: Sneak it, I guess.
[01:04:40] Speaker B: Roll a slide of hand.
[01:04:44] Speaker A: Check.
[01:04:45] Speaker B: Don't worry.
And I. I should roll a pose, right? To see if I shield.
[01:04:50] Speaker A: Or her passive perception. However, interpret that.
[01:04:52] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:04:53] Speaker A: It's either her passive or an active perception check.
[01:04:56] Speaker C: Based on your interpretation, you said slightly. It said nine.
[01:05:02] Speaker B: Yeah. She sees. She goes. Oh, dear. What do you.
[01:05:06] Speaker C: What do I see?
[01:05:07] Speaker B: That's lovely magic you're casting there. Thank you. And thank you.
You see the same color. I don't remember what color that was on the raven.
[01:05:20] Speaker A: Purple.
[01:05:20] Speaker B: Is it the.
[01:05:21] Speaker C: Can I do an arcana check to see if it's.
Well, this might be a school you already know.
[01:05:27] Speaker A: It's.
[01:05:27] Speaker C: Yeah, that's all I know. I only know the school. But does it look like. Okay, it's the same. Okay. I see transmutation. On where?
[01:05:34] Speaker B: On her.
[01:05:35] Speaker C: On the scone.
[01:05:36] Speaker B: She is glowing.
[01:05:38] Speaker A: Ms. Crane?
[01:05:40] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:05:40] Speaker A: I don't believe you answered my question.
[01:05:42] Speaker B: What was her question again? I was worried about your friend choking here.
[01:05:45] Speaker A: Your scones are very bad.
[01:05:47] Speaker B: Oh, my.
[01:05:50] Speaker A: Again, my friend.
[01:05:52] Speaker B: Yes. What was your question? I'm sorry.
[01:05:55] Speaker A: Could you give us the whole truth?
[01:05:56] Speaker B: Oh, the whole truth. Yes. I mean, I, I live, I've lived here for.
[01:06:00] Speaker A: So are you Gadriel Inspiration? Yes.
At this point, has Malon remembered the specific missing poster?
[01:06:10] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:06:11] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:06:11] Speaker B: You know it's her from the missing poster.
[01:06:13] Speaker A: Okay. Selena Crane, the medicine lady.
[01:06:16] Speaker B: I, I, I, I, I've lived here for.
[01:06:20] Speaker A: No, no. I don't care about your living. I've asked you three questions that you have lied to me about.
I furrow my brow.
[01:06:29] Speaker B: What were those. What were those questions?
[01:06:31] Speaker A: First question.
[01:06:31] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:06:32] Speaker A: You didn't tell me who came in when I knocked on the door.
[01:06:35] Speaker B: Oh, well, that was.
[01:06:36] Speaker A: Second question.
[01:06:36] Speaker B: Okay, I'll tell you the first question. Oh, that, that was actually me. I was running late. I usually open at noon. And I was running behind. And I am a very partial person. And I felt bad that I was. I was. It was me. Yes.
[01:06:49] Speaker A: Could I roll inside on that?
[01:06:50] Speaker B: Yeah, you could.
[01:06:52] Speaker A: I nod.
I got a 13.
[01:06:55] Speaker B: She's telling the truth. It was her.
[01:06:56] Speaker A: Okay.
Second.
Who helps you here?
[01:07:00] Speaker B: Who helps me?
Um, okay. Truth.
My brother.
[01:07:07] Speaker A: Where is he?
[01:07:08] Speaker B: He's not here at the moment. He's fallen ill today.
[01:07:11] Speaker A: Where is he?
[01:07:12] Speaker B: He's at.
He's at. On the, on the second level of the textile place. And he's resting there.
[01:07:22] Speaker A: And your brother is name?
[01:07:28] Speaker B: Mr. Crane as well.
Crane.
[01:07:31] Speaker A: I knew it. I knew it as well. Could I roll insight?
[01:07:35] Speaker B: Yeah, okay.
[01:07:37] Speaker A: That's a lot easier. Just infinite checks. I'm sorry, I just. No 18 or no 19?
[01:07:45] Speaker B: The first part.
She seems to be.
She seems very. It's. It's her brother. She seems. That's right. But something's still off.
[01:07:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:07:56] Speaker A: Ms. Crane?
[01:07:57] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:08:03] Speaker A: I brought you here.
[01:08:05] Speaker B: Brought me? I came here on. On my own free link.
[01:08:09] Speaker A: How long ago?
[01:08:12] Speaker B: Yeah, I've lived here almost a year now. Yeah, almost a year.
[01:08:17] Speaker A: Why did you leave Sun Valley?
[01:08:20] Speaker B: I just wanted to change.
[01:08:23] Speaker A: Sorry. When Noah gets really focused, his eyebrow twitches. And just then when he was like, why did you leave Sun Valley? His eyebrow wasn't. And it was like. But it, like, worked. It was. I don't know. It was kind of cool. I'll take it.
[01:08:35] Speaker B: I. I just wanted to change. It was.
I wanted a cozy little place, and I've always wanted to open a tea shop. And there's too many taverns in San Valley.
[01:08:44] Speaker A: What's the big black building?
[01:08:45] Speaker B: Big black building.
Oh, that's just an old temple that used to be here.
[01:08:50] Speaker A: Yeah, it looks like it's still there. It's still. It's still there. I saw.
[01:08:54] Speaker B: It's still there. Yes, but it's not used by the village now.
[01:08:57] Speaker A: Oh, it's very clean. You know, the mayor of this town.
[01:09:00] Speaker B: Yeah, the mayor. Oh, there's no mayor here. It's just all of us were just.
Just a nice little village, and we all help each other out.
[01:09:06] Speaker A: Oh, and you deal with this currency.
[01:09:08] Speaker B: The currency.
[01:09:09] Speaker A: I bring out a silver.
[01:09:10] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no. I don't know what that is. But we deal in regular platinum, gold, silver, Coal carver.
[01:09:18] Speaker A: I turn to Cole and I go.
I feel like we're not really getting anywhere. I know, but I don't really.
[01:09:25] Speaker B: All of a sudden, as you guys are discussing this, through the window of.
[01:09:29] Speaker A: To the wall.
Yes, Daniel.
[01:09:33] Speaker B: Through the window of the shop, you see a little boy skipping, and he's going pretty fast. And he's like, is it the same laughter?
[01:09:42] Speaker A: I recognize that. Right?
[01:09:44] Speaker C: Is it the same laughter?
[01:09:45] Speaker B: It's the same laughter. And I don't like when she does that.
And he's going, like, fast. He's, like, chasing after something when a little boy is chasing after something.
[01:09:56] Speaker A: Speed scaler for weapons.
[01:09:59] Speaker B: And he's. He's going. He's going eastward.
[01:10:02] Speaker C: Oh, I look at Mar. I look at Marlon.
[01:10:04] Speaker A: Guess what? Eastward.
Oh, I pointed her. I put a finger on my neck and I do the question hands.
I. I, instead of. I slap my knee happily. I get it. And I pull out the great club. And I.
On the ground and I go. And I go tell Crawl the truth.
And it finally dawned on me.
Yes.
[01:10:38] Speaker B: That was really good.
Sorry. I'm looking.
[01:10:45] Speaker A: You're good. Did it leave a dent in the floor or something damaged the floor.
Time for the building collapses.
[01:10:55] Speaker C: Start a fire.
[01:10:56] Speaker B: Burns down.
As you do that, she goes, that's cute. And before your Eyes.
It's, like, wavy.
[01:11:16] Speaker A: No.
[01:11:16] Speaker B: And then all of a sudden, she's gone. She's invisible. You don't see anything?
[01:11:22] Speaker A: I just turned. I just turned back. Really disappointed.
[01:11:24] Speaker B: You don't, like. There's nothing there. It's like she vanished.
[01:11:27] Speaker C: I reach out and I grab where she would be.
[01:11:30] Speaker A: No one did touch her.
[01:11:31] Speaker B: You grab where she would be? Yeah.
[01:11:32] Speaker C: I, like, try and put my arms around where she would be.
[01:11:35] Speaker A: As she's reaching out, I try to hold her back.
[01:11:39] Speaker B: Do a.
I guess acrobatics check. Yes.
[01:11:45] Speaker A: You're the deal.
[01:11:46] Speaker B: I'm sorry.
[01:11:46] Speaker A: What if there's an invisible creature and there may not be. If there's an invisible creature, she would be rolling an attack to grapple, which would be at disadvantage because the creature is invisible. So. So it would be a roll to hit that she's not proficient in. At disadvantage against an invisible creature. If that's what's happening, which we wouldn't know. I'm gonna cast guidance.
[01:12:08] Speaker B: Do that.
Do what he said.
[01:12:10] Speaker A: You can't guide an attack. Yeah. You can't guide an attack.
[01:12:13] Speaker B: Do what?
[01:12:14] Speaker C: So just disadvantage.
[01:12:16] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:12:18] Speaker A: You're not. It's just against this individual's ac.
[01:12:21] Speaker C: So if I'm not proficient, it's just plus your strength. Plus my strength. So that is just 14.
[01:12:29] Speaker A: And did you roll a disadvantage? She did. Yeah. 14. So if this creature's AC is higher than 14, she doesn't get whatever it is. It's up to you whether or not she perceives anything there, but she doesn't get it.
[01:12:43] Speaker B: You don't hit anything. You don't. You touch nothing. And then a couple seconds, like, 10 seconds later, the. Yes.
[01:12:55] Speaker A: She reached for something.
[01:12:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:12:58] Speaker A: I tried to hit wherever she was reaching.
[01:13:00] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:13:01] Speaker A: I mean, I've been waiting all day long to do something.
[01:13:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
Would you also do.
[01:13:06] Speaker A: I would roll the hit at disadvantage.
[01:13:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:13:11] Speaker A: Oh, nine.
[01:13:14] Speaker B: Yeah. You don't. You don't hit anything. It goes into the floor and gets.
And then that door that has the hole in it just.
[01:13:25] Speaker A: It swings open.
[01:13:26] Speaker B: It swings open and then close.
[01:13:28] Speaker A: Oh, well, phenomenal. I. I bolt out the door. I follow.
[01:13:31] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:13:33] Speaker A: Yeah. I will follow our group.
I guess we're all. Are we all running? I'm running. He's running. Oh, I have a good idea that I can't. That's scone, Jessica.
[01:13:42] Speaker B: What?
[01:13:43] Speaker A: That scone. My character's far too stupid to have this idea.
[01:13:46] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:13:47] Speaker B: Could I cast.
[01:13:47] Speaker A: Locate object on that scone?
[01:13:49] Speaker B: Yeah, you could.
[01:13:50] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. Dm, what is your philosophy on players discussing Strategy outside of character.
[01:13:57] Speaker B: Because it's up to you. That's fine.
[01:13:58] Speaker A: If that's my.
[01:14:00] Speaker B: I don't know how to do chase scenes. As a dm. I say.
[01:14:04] Speaker A: I think we have at least one person here who does. Abby, if you can cast detect magic, it will.
[01:14:10] Speaker B: I can't.
[01:14:10] Speaker C: I cast detect magic.
[01:14:12] Speaker A: Just saying.
[01:14:14] Speaker C: I cast detect magic. Okay, Can I see her?
[01:14:17] Speaker A: Well, let's let the DM catch up with all the different things I'm trying to think of.
[01:14:21] Speaker B: Okay. I'm trying to think of an order of operations. How fast? So what's the getting out the door versus?
[01:14:27] Speaker A: Well, so you can use the speed.
Like do. Obviously, if there's running maximum speed. And then if the range of. To detect magic.
[01:14:34] Speaker B: Oh, what is the range of detect magic?
[01:14:36] Speaker A: 30Ft.
And then depending on the character or whatever this creature's speed is, if it's more than. Then she wouldn't. She just wouldn't find it. For chase scenes, initiative is actually a pretty good ability to do. Okay, like, you could all have us roll. Initiative. She is where she is. We are where we are at the moment. And then we can go from there because it's technically an encounter.
[01:14:58] Speaker B: Okay, yeah, let's. Okay, I guess let's roll. Initiative it is.
[01:15:03] Speaker A: Would there be any value in changing the music?
[01:15:04] Speaker B: Yes, there might be.
18.
[01:15:09] Speaker A: Wait, why?
Initiative, hands off.
[01:15:11] Speaker B: Grab.
[01:15:12] Speaker A: Plus decks. Plus decks. Eight. Oh, 21.
[01:15:16] Speaker C: I got it. Well, I got a 20, naturally.
[01:15:21] Speaker A: I didn't think I'd be using locate object, but I'm very glad I am. Yeah. Dope spell.
[01:15:26] Speaker B: That's not right. 10,000.
I don't like zones.
No.
[01:15:34] Speaker A: Perfect.
I have an idea.
[01:15:38] Speaker B: We might just do this one because it's a good speed.
Okay, so you. Okay, Initiative.
That would be lovely.
Oh, I need to roll.
[01:15:53] Speaker A: Holy crap.
I will go down. I don't know what your guy is. Do you want me to write your bad guy or do you want to keep a secret?
[01:16:05] Speaker B: No, you can go ahead. I rolled an eight.
Oh, no.
[01:16:12] Speaker A: Roll off.
[01:16:13] Speaker B: Yeah, we got.
[01:16:13] Speaker A: It's up to you. You're the dm. It's whether or not you want to take the higher dex mod or have us roll off.
[01:16:17] Speaker B: What's your. What's your dex mod?
[01:16:18] Speaker A: Plus one.
[01:16:19] Speaker B: I also have a plus one.
[01:16:21] Speaker A: So now we have to roll off. Rollies. What happens if you get stained?
[01:16:25] Speaker B: What'd you get?
[01:16:25] Speaker A: I mean, brag, but three.
[01:16:27] Speaker B: I got a 16.
[01:16:29] Speaker A: Yeah, you win, Crane.
And not neck boy. Gaff.
Neck boy.
[01:16:39] Speaker B: All right, so what is it? Just tell me.
[01:16:41] Speaker A: Mallon. Welby Crow. Crane. G.
[01:16:47] Speaker B: Crane.
[01:16:48] Speaker A: You.
[01:16:49] Speaker B: That's. What's crane. I pictured a crane. A bird.
I was like a crane.
[01:16:54] Speaker A: This is a full construction.
[01:16:55] Speaker B: Where'd that crane from?
I did a bird. Okay.
But she cast detect magic first.
[01:17:04] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:17:04] Speaker B: Before that or up to you.
[01:17:06] Speaker A: Up to you as the dm. So you can. You are deciding.
[01:17:09] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:17:09] Speaker A: And hey, remember, you're the dm. There's no wrong decision. There's just the decision you made.
[01:17:12] Speaker B: Actually, I want to.
Okay. Just so you know. So this all happened within about 10 seconds after the. You heard the he and saw the little dude run by.
So I guess I should roll for the little guy.
[01:17:25] Speaker A: Little dude? Yeah, the little dude. Give me a little dude. He's involved too. Okay.
[01:17:28] Speaker B: He. Well, I mean, he just ran by so you could see him. Oh, that's a nat. That is a nat. 20. So that's gonna be a 24.
[01:17:37] Speaker A: So he's now at the top of initiative.
[01:17:39] Speaker C: Yeah, I can cast my cantrips, right?
[01:17:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Because they don't take a spell slot.
[01:17:44] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:17:44] Speaker A: But they still take an action or bonus action.
[01:17:47] Speaker B: Okay. So, yeah. Little guy. He's. You can see him. He's like halfway to the. To the temple.
[01:17:56] Speaker A: Do you want something to represent him?
[01:17:58] Speaker B: Yeah, that'd be good.
I would talk to you, little guy.
I'm gonna make this little guy.
And this is my. And this is her. I mean, she's not that big, but obviously.
[01:18:09] Speaker A: Did she go out the back?
[01:18:10] Speaker B: Yeah, she went out the back. I'm so. Thank you. Okay. This was not to scale, so I wasn't prepared for this.
[01:18:16] Speaker A: It's gonna have to be okay.
We're all in this building.
[01:18:20] Speaker B: You can't beat a scale anyway, so.
[01:18:25] Speaker A: Also, dm, just a thought, if you want. So long, until we know where she is. As she's invisible, you don't have to put her on the map.
[01:18:33] Speaker B: Thank you.
[01:18:34] Speaker A: Okay, so we know his back door.
[01:18:36] Speaker B: He's. He's like halfway to here.
[01:18:38] Speaker A: Little guy's halfway to the pressure mark.
[01:18:40] Speaker C: Oh, we can see him.
[01:18:40] Speaker A: Then it would be Mallons.
[01:18:41] Speaker B: Yeah, you can see him. He's like.
[01:18:47] Speaker A: He's just a little kid.
[01:18:49] Speaker B: He's got like little leader, holes in the eye.
[01:18:50] Speaker A: It's bad on the shot.
[01:18:51] Speaker B: He's got.
[01:18:52] Speaker A: What, Hansel?
[01:18:53] Speaker B: Yeah, it's Grantel.
[01:18:55] Speaker A: Have you guys seen him Hoodwinked? Yeah. You know the scene where all the kids are singing about the schnitzel and one kid looks happy and then shoves one up his nose and silence.
[01:19:04] Speaker B: That's the vibe.
He's Got.
He's like.
Okay, so that's his turn.
Next is Mallon.
Mallon. Okay.
[01:19:19] Speaker A: Is dashing a universal?
Unless you have a class that permits.
It's an action. Okay. To dash. Yeah. Then I will just dash as far as out and around.
Well, we don't know where, so I'm just gonna. I'm just gonna dash to like here. So how many. How. How big was the building? Was it about 15ft wide? Yeah, that's 30ft. Okay. That's not a dash.
Okay. Right. Because you have, you're. I have a 25ft. So you'd be right there and then you could dash, which is another 25.
Okay. Yeah, I, I'll do that and I'll. Are you gonna go towards building or. I'm gonna. Yeah, I'm gonna start immediately running towards little boy. So 25.
Just sprinting.
[01:20:12] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:20:14] Speaker A: That's it.
[01:20:14] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:20:15] Speaker A: Question before it gets too close to my turn. Did I get to cast?
[01:20:20] Speaker B: Yeah, you died.
[01:20:21] Speaker A: Locate object before. Or is it my turn that I cast?
Doesn't matter to me.
[01:20:25] Speaker B: I'm gonna have it be your turn that you cast.
[01:20:26] Speaker A: Perfect. Well, these turn.
[01:20:29] Speaker C: Okay. So how far away am I from?
[01:20:31] Speaker B: I don't know. You're still in the building. Check.
[01:20:33] Speaker C: Magic, right?
[01:20:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
Can I see a blob since you're still in the building. Okay. And the door shut? You don't.
[01:20:44] Speaker C: I'm gonna use some of my movement to run out.
[01:20:47] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:20:47] Speaker A: Front.
[01:20:48] Speaker C: Can I.
[01:20:48] Speaker B: The front or the back door?
[01:20:50] Speaker C: The door that she ran out.
[01:20:51] Speaker B: The back door.
[01:20:52] Speaker A: That's about 20ft to get outside of this.
[01:20:54] Speaker B: Okay. Okay.
Would she tell me dms?
My character would.
When she went out the door and everything before initiative was rolled, would she been able to use her full movement or.
[01:21:14] Speaker A: Well, wait, how would that work? Movement would be so like. It depends. So in the same second that we've cast ourselves, she's also running. So she had as much movement as she had to get out of the door. So she had a 30 foot movement speed. She'd have 15ft left.
[01:21:30] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:21:30] Speaker A: It's usually how it would work. And it's up to you. Yeah, but then I open the door, reduces movement. If you're like, no, no, easy open, then no, absolutely not. But if you're like just to stop, turn the handle open, it's up to you whether or not that reduces movement. It doesn't have to. Totally up to you.
[01:21:47] Speaker B: You.
[01:21:50] Speaker A: Me, her.
And for whatever it's worth, if this is helpful, detect magic doesn't let you see an invisible creature, but it does let you detect any source of magic. So she would be able to see a point of illusory magic. Because invisibility is technically an illusion spell. So it wouldn't be like, oh, she's there. Because it's not the spell, see, invisibility, but it lets you. It lets you see any source of magic. So she could be like, ah, illusion magic's right there.
Is it magic? It's just magic.
[01:22:20] Speaker B: It's magic.
[01:22:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:22:21] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:22:22] Speaker C: She's the source of the magic.
[01:22:23] Speaker B: Yeah. You see? You see, like, right at your 30ft mark. Like, from you.
[01:22:30] Speaker A: 30Ft from her now?
[01:22:32] Speaker B: Yeah, like, right around, like, here.
[01:22:35] Speaker C: Can I do an arcana check and maybe this is just a question.
[01:22:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:22:41] Speaker C: If I say. If I say I can't cast a spell on a humanoid that I see with the.
[01:22:51] Speaker B: Just wait. So what are you. What are you asking?
[01:22:54] Speaker C: I'm asking if I would know whether or not I could. I can't see her, but I know where she is. I can't cast a sight spell on her, can I? I'm just clarifying.
[01:23:04] Speaker B: I think you would know.
I think as a caster, you would know that.
[01:23:07] Speaker C: Okay, I would just know that.
[01:23:09] Speaker B: Yeah, you would just know that.
[01:23:10] Speaker C: Okay, then I'm just gonna run.
[01:23:17] Speaker B: I'm gonna.
[01:23:25] Speaker A: Pressure Abby. You also have the right as DM to demand people to go quickly.
[01:23:29] Speaker B: I'm not.
[01:23:31] Speaker A: I'm trying to be on our DM side, too.
I'm trying to be on the DM side, too.
It's everyone turns and everyone DMS at me.
[01:23:41] Speaker B: So you did detect magic. You saw it. Are you.
[01:23:43] Speaker C: I'm just gonna.
[01:23:44] Speaker B: You've used all your.
Have you used all your. Well, okay, she's used a 20 foot. Yeah.
[01:23:51] Speaker C: Can I dash?
[01:23:52] Speaker A: You can dash.
[01:23:53] Speaker B: 10Ft is your speed. 30?
[01:23:54] Speaker C: My speed is 25.
[01:23:56] Speaker A: Okay, so she'd be able to dash up to 25 more feet from here.
[01:24:00] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:24:00] Speaker A: Right. So are you going to go tackle? Are you going to.
[01:24:03] Speaker C: Well, I can't tackle because I don't have an action.
[01:24:05] Speaker A: Right, true, but you can run up and just get next to it.
[01:24:08] Speaker C: I do. I run up and I go like this.
[01:24:10] Speaker A: Tsa.
[01:24:10] Speaker C: I go like this.
[01:24:12] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:24:15] Speaker A: Does she feel anything?
[01:24:16] Speaker B: Yeah, you. You feel an old woman's body?
[01:24:21] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:24:23] Speaker B: I feel her.
Yeah.
[01:24:26] Speaker C: As a bonus action, I'm going to summon a ten foot tentacle for one minute, and I'm Like a melee spell attack.
[01:24:33] Speaker A: That's the subclass. I thought you were.
[01:24:34] Speaker B: Okay, okay. What do I need to do?
You're just making a melee spell.
[01:24:43] Speaker A: Okay, technically, at this advantage, though, right? Because she's invisible.
[01:24:47] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:24:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
DM Very important question just to know. When we did see her, did she.
What kind of clothing.
[01:25:02] Speaker B: She was wearing? Like, a little, like, polka dot dress and like, a little apron and.
[01:25:05] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:25:05] Speaker B: Like, with her little hat.
[01:25:06] Speaker A: Belts, like strawberries or straps or.
[01:25:10] Speaker B: No, but I mean, she had the apron tied around her.
[01:25:13] Speaker A: Just tied.
[01:25:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay.
[01:25:16] Speaker A: Yeah. What are the socks?
[01:25:18] Speaker B: She had a pearl. She had a pearl necklace. Where did my knives go?
[01:25:21] Speaker C: Okay, I got an eight.
[01:25:23] Speaker B: Got an eight. Yeah. It does not. You do not. Okay.
[01:25:26] Speaker A: Hey, that's still a great turn, honestly. Yeah. I was getting at. Is there anything metal she's wearing?
Let's go. Let's go.
[01:25:35] Speaker B: Okay, it's your turn.
[01:25:37] Speaker A: I believe, Croll, it's my turn.
I've cast detect magic as my action.
Locate object.
[01:25:44] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:25:44] Speaker A: It points.
[01:25:45] Speaker B: You see? Yeah. You're feeling it.
[01:25:48] Speaker A: Perfect. I like to see that. I think that's me.
Yes, you're right.
I'm gonna go out the front.
[01:25:54] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:25:54] Speaker A: Because you don't fit through the back. You could just.
Nah.
Is it. Is it still 15ft to get across the front door?
[01:26:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:26:04] Speaker A: Okay. 15ft here, and it's still pointing that way.
[01:26:07] Speaker B: I would say it's 10 since you were close to the doors.
[01:26:11] Speaker A: 20. No, no, no, no. 15. 15, 20.
I see the arrow and a black tentacle object caressing. As you see this old lady, a very round woman with a tentacle, going slide.
[01:26:29] Speaker B: She's like, somehow she's doing this as you see it to the air.
[01:26:33] Speaker A: You see that Dreadful. Just caressing. It looked like she's running more this direction.
[01:26:39] Speaker B: If I were.
She ran up here, but she's kind of going back towards that. Like, she's kind of edging back toward behind the garden. Yeah.
[01:26:48] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:26:48] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:26:55] Speaker A: What to do? What to do?
[01:26:57] Speaker B: What to do?
[01:26:58] Speaker A: I.
I look to Welby and I say, are we taking her down?
[01:27:10] Speaker C: Can I respond to you?
[01:27:13] Speaker B: Who?
[01:27:14] Speaker A: I asked Lobey here.
[01:27:15] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I would say what to me. I said, well, I don't want to.
[01:27:19] Speaker C: Kill her, but I want to.
[01:27:20] Speaker B: I want to try and stop.
[01:27:22] Speaker C: Stop her.
[01:27:23] Speaker A: Well, dog's off the leash. Good luck with that.
[01:27:28] Speaker B: Okay. I hope you don't kill a child.
[01:27:30] Speaker A: I hope I don't either.
I'm so sorry. I thought I had my plan, and I.
[01:27:37] Speaker B: It's okay. I did too. So.
[01:27:41] Speaker A: I love the way you've done your DM notes. I mean, I'm not reading any, like, numbers, but they're gorgeous.
[01:27:46] Speaker B: Thank you. It's. It's her character.
[01:27:48] Speaker A: Yeah. I Love it. I'm here as 30ft.
[01:27:50] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:27:51] Speaker A: I'm just gonna stand there because I have my.
I see. I know exactly where she is. As you see my two foot tooth is just like floating off the front of your pointing. That's all I do.
[01:28:03] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay. It's her turn.
You are going to see.
Oh, does she drop heal? No.
[01:28:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:28:14] Speaker B: You're go. Actually. Well, because of what I'm about to do.
[01:28:19] Speaker A: Oh heck yeah. Oh no.
Just a quick check. Dm.
[01:28:22] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:28:23] Speaker A: If you're using a non concentration spell.
[01:28:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:28:26] Speaker A: Oh well. No, no, no. If it's not greater invisibility it would drop. Yeah. Never mind.
Don't listen to me. I'm goofy.
Ooh.
I'm concentrating. All this thing over here do I want to put invisibility ring?
[01:28:41] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:28:41] Speaker B: So I'm gonna. You can take. It's. You don't need it.
So good luck.
[01:28:47] Speaker A: Bubbie.
[01:28:50] Speaker B: The invisibility is going to drop because she is going to cast dimension door.
[01:28:59] Speaker A: Stupid stinky poo poo dude.
[01:29:00] Speaker B: And she's gon 500ft to. To take her off the map. How AM I is 500ft off the map?
[01:29:08] Speaker A: 500Ft is anywhere you want it to be.
[01:29:10] Speaker B: Okay. She's. She's back behind.
[01:29:15] Speaker A: Well. And we don't.
[01:29:15] Speaker B: You can feel.
You can feel where she's at because it's thousand feet.
[01:29:20] Speaker A: Well, dang it.
[01:29:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:29:22] Speaker A: I just can't kill something anyway.
[01:29:24] Speaker B: You don't know she gotta go there and.
Okay. And that's all you know.
[01:29:31] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:29:31] Speaker A: All right. Excellent.
[01:29:32] Speaker C: Well, are we out of.
[01:29:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
I was about to ask is this something that we should continue to try to do?
[01:29:40] Speaker B: I would say.
I would say for now you're out of.
[01:29:44] Speaker A: Damn. I haven't got to take my turn.
[01:29:46] Speaker B: That's true. You know what? Let's let you have your turn.
[01:29:49] Speaker A: Excellent. What's the movement out of the front of the building? 10ft. I go through the window and as I said smash out of it. I just go.
And then I point at the kid. I do the finger across my neck and I do the question hands looking at whoever's nearest. No, I'm looking. I'm looking at crawl. I point at the weird laughing kid. I do the finger and I do the question hand.
I without looking at Welby I I. I slightly nod my head. I just go. I turn and go and I'm going to. I've gone 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35.
[01:30:29] Speaker B: Oh no.
[01:30:30] Speaker A: And that puts me 5, 10, 15, 20, 25th, 30. He's at a Disadvantage range. But that's what a hand axe is for. And I pick up the hand axe, I lob it in a hand, catch it by the head, and I.
And as it goes out, I just go. My neck has so many muscles, so I will roll the hit at disadvantage.
I really, really, really, really, really hope this isn't a real kid.
That's a D12. That is a D12.
I should not have rolled that. Oh, thank God.
Yeah. Probably a big plus.
That might hit.
Does 15 hit DM?
[01:31:10] Speaker B: It does.
[01:31:12] Speaker A: Okay. Do I kill a kid?
[01:31:16] Speaker B: What's the. What's the damage? Yeah, well.
[01:31:18] Speaker A: Well, okay. That's encouraging to hear because if it was a kid, you wouldn't ask.
That is going to.
[01:31:29] Speaker B: I killed the kid. You killed the kid? What?
[01:31:33] Speaker A: That is going to be five points of slashing damage as whatever this is the hand axe just into its shoulder.
[01:31:42] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:31:44] Speaker A: I was seeing this happening in your.
[01:31:47] Speaker B: It can't be a kid.
[01:31:48] Speaker A: It's too creepy to be a kid. You know? Right. I was just gonna try and.
Five points of damage.
[01:31:55] Speaker C: Yeah, you said five.
[01:31:56] Speaker A: Yeah, but I was wrong. What? Seven.
[01:31:59] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[01:32:00] Speaker A: Three plus four. Seven. Seven. You're right. You're right.
[01:32:03] Speaker B: Okay.
Does it. Does it stay in his back?
Like, does it. Does it drop off?
Do you know?
[01:32:14] Speaker A: You are the dm. You're the dm. Dude.
[01:32:24] Speaker B: He's gonna.
The little kid.
The little kid is gonna reach behind him and pull it out of his back, drop it on the ground, turn around and go, oh, chill.
[01:32:39] Speaker A: The kid. Kill the kid. I made the right call. Y' all.
[01:32:45] Speaker B: Can'T catch me.
And I know this. We're coming out of combat, and he runs through the doors of the pit, killing the kid. And your hand axe is on the ground.
[01:32:54] Speaker A: I turn and I look at the party and I go, I'm killing that thing. And Mallon goes, please do.
I'm gonna run up to wherever he was and pick up the hand axe.
[01:33:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:33:05] Speaker A: And when I pick it up, I just lift it up and I rub the edge of the blade on my face, wiping the blood down one face. And then I.
I rub it on my muscular neck. And then I re. Sheathe it a little bit.
Also, all of me is feathered, but the neck is so muscular that, like, there aren't. There's, like, most of the feathers are pushed off.
Whatever that's worth. Real weird.
[01:33:28] Speaker C: It's working for us.
[01:33:29] Speaker A: It's like mange.
I think we're going into the temple.
I think so, too. And I'm gonna start running towards the Temple.
[01:33:36] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:33:37] Speaker A: I want to be. We're always through the doors of the temple.
Wait, hold on. Dm Can I inspire my party really quickly?
[01:33:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:33:42] Speaker A: With an attempt. I'm going to run up the steps.
[01:33:44] Speaker B: I don't have any feature for this.
[01:33:46] Speaker A: I don't know if there's any mechanical benefit. I run up the steps and I go.
I don't know much, but I know that we are all friends.
And if there's anything I learned from my mother, the final right, I don't remember, but from my grandfather, the greatest warrior to ever live. Sirloin crotch.
Wait. You always aim for the crotch. And I turn around.
Hey, hey, hey.
[01:34:22] Speaker B: I did not have a chicken child.
[01:34:27] Speaker A: I don't know what's true in Jackie's world. My grandfather just happened. Happens to be named Sir Lor Crotch. I, I, I say it's like Roderick. I just say you always go for the crotch. And then I kick the doors in. So you don't use your head?
[01:34:40] Speaker B: No.
[01:34:41] Speaker A: Okay. Kick. Just kick out. I never like using my.
[01:34:43] Speaker B: So do you guys walk into the temple?
[01:34:45] Speaker A: No, I try to keep the doors in. Does that work to you?
[01:34:47] Speaker B: They just fly open.
[01:34:49] Speaker A: We all storm into the temple. Now, do we have. Can we put where we are?
[01:34:54] Speaker B: Yeah, you can put where you are.
[01:34:55] Speaker A: Is this the entrance or is that the entrance?
[01:34:57] Speaker B: This is the entrance.
[01:34:58] Speaker A: This looks cool also.
[01:35:01] Speaker B: J. Walk in sick map. Thank you.
[01:35:03] Speaker A: This is awesome.
[01:35:04] Speaker B: Now this is to scale of the. Like, this is legit.
[01:35:09] Speaker A: This is honestly not that far off from the scale of the other map. Oh, Daniel's going pissy.
Oh, one for initiative.
Yes, you can just keep going.
So he's, He's a quick pisser, let me tell you.
Just so Jas trying to read.
[01:35:36] Speaker B: I know I wrote this somewhere.
[01:35:38] Speaker A: Where the heck did I write this? That should break out my big.
[01:35:42] Speaker B: Okay.
You walk in to this temple.
It's a very dark, musty room.
There's stone everywhere. That same slick onyx sea stone.
The floors, the walls.
There's a chill to the air. It's kind of haunting.
Torches, like the space along the walls.
And a small dais. A small dais?
[01:36:10] Speaker A: Yes. I love the architecture.
[01:36:12] Speaker B: A small dais sits in like, kind of the middle back of the room.
[01:36:17] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:36:19] Speaker B: With some sort of. You can't see it from the entrance.
Some sort of small, little. Just a little bag sitting on top. Just like a drawstring, like, velvet bag sitting on top.
[01:36:31] Speaker A: Oh, you can break it.
[01:36:32] Speaker B: Behind that.
Behind that on the back wall looks to be a raised stage of sorts.
There's a hallway leading somewhere to the far back, left of the room and to the immediate right.
Besides some cobwebs, broken down pews in one corner, and lots and lots of dust, the room is empty.
[01:36:59] Speaker A: Dm.
[01:37:00] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:37:00] Speaker A: You're a good dm. This is cool.
[01:37:07] Speaker B: Do you guys walk and do you kind of stand there and take it all in?
[01:37:15] Speaker C: Do we see these two people?
[01:37:18] Speaker B: No. Okay. Actually, do I see his name? When you guys walk in, when you guys walk in, you see the little boy, the little boy slip through here and you hear, oh, no.
And then I just like, good noise, good noise.
And so you see that. Go through that hallway. Thank you.
Deads now, hopefully soon. Do you guys, do you guys walk in anywhere?
[01:37:50] Speaker A: I'm not cautious.
[01:37:51] Speaker C: I walk in cautiously.
[01:37:53] Speaker A: I walk in brazenly. Dm.
[01:37:54] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:37:55] Speaker A: I walk in Tooth.
[01:37:59] Speaker B: Oh yeah.
[01:38:00] Speaker A: Is it.
[01:38:00] Speaker B: It is pointing.
[01:38:01] Speaker A: A stoof is different than a tooth.
[01:38:03] Speaker B: You're feeling it point to, towards down that hallway.
[01:38:06] Speaker A: Down that hallway.
[01:38:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
And I don't know if you heard me say, this is like a small dais in the middle and there's like a little drawstring bag sitting like on top of like little.
[01:38:15] Speaker A: If I pull it off, there's a rock coming at me.
[01:38:18] Speaker B: Who's Indiana Jones?
[01:38:20] Speaker A: I whisper to Gath, if I can.
[01:38:22] Speaker B: Okay, I say to the left door.
[01:38:25] Speaker A: I salivate a little.
[01:38:27] Speaker B: It drools as you say that. And as you guys are taking in the room coming out from the hall, a figure appears.
She is an older woman.
[01:38:53] Speaker A: Oh, heck, yeah.
[01:38:56] Speaker B: Maybe like, maybe like 50s or 60s.
She looks human maybe.
She has long dark hair and she's about, she's about the normal size of a human too. Like she's her height and everything.
She's kind of like, like bony or her, her face is kind of like sunken in almost. She looks sickly.
She has very pale skin and she's just kind of clad in like black robes.
And you notice because of your high perception check, there's like a gleam and you can see a big symbol of that same symbol with the circle, the black circle with the purple around it. Yes.
[01:39:54] Speaker A: Yeah. We benefit very slightly from turning the kick down only a little bit.
[01:39:58] Speaker B: It keeps going. This song keeps going. See? And then it goes to a different song. I even had it on. Stay on that one now.
[01:40:05] Speaker A: Sometimes it's silly pink, stinky poop. Silly people.
[01:40:09] Speaker B: And as she steps, as she steps into the light, as she steps into the light, she.
She has like long black fingernails, but not, not like, not weird, not weird hands, just long Black fingernails.
And she goes. She steps, she walks, she walks.
Not bad for as old as she looks. Does that make sense? Yeah.
[01:40:37] Speaker A: With a surprising dexterity in grace.
[01:40:40] Speaker B: Yes.
And she walks slowly towards y'. All and she goes.
[01:40:46] Speaker A: Oh, why?
[01:40:47] Speaker B: Welcome, welcome, sweet righteous soul.
I've got myself.
[01:40:57] Speaker A: I'm all neck. And I turn and I look at Krul and I point at her and I do the finger on the neck with the question hands.
Okay, I don't mean to interrupt the order of action, do you?
[01:41:10] Speaker B: I see you all received my letter.
Any questions?
[01:41:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Why?
I physically. This isn't Zach the player. This is.
[01:41:23] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:41:26] Speaker A: What. What did the letter say?
[01:41:30] Speaker B: Your friends didn't tell you?
[01:41:32] Speaker A: Everybody here, we all know what it says. But just. Just for the little kid. What did the letter say?
[01:41:37] Speaker B: Well, I needed.
I needed you guys to. To come and luckily you. And she looks at Weldy brought an extra one for me since I believe your friend got lost on the way.
So you did send me the such lovely, lovely pair.
[01:42:02] Speaker A: I've got the staff and it's like knuckle white, white knuckle grip on it.
[01:42:07] Speaker B: Well, I have lived a lot of lives.
10,000 lives.
My so called abomination of a brother beside me. You met him. You threw an axe at him. He has fun. Thank you for that.
[01:42:29] Speaker A: Oh, you're welcome.
[01:42:32] Speaker B: Luring in children, pilgrims. The lone monk on their holy treks these past 50 years.
Our ancestors used to be worshiped right alongside the gods.
People journeyed from far and wide just to get the chance to be sacrificed at our altars.
The arrogant. We're none the wiser, my people. We were the mighty shepherds that carried your precious souls over to the gods and goddesses. And in return, they would bless our lands all year round with bountiful and beautiful wealth.
Then.
Then your druid trash showed up and found a way to surpass the gods.
It was blasphemy.
The wardens, they abandoned you all.
Then the gods started dying out because no one wanted to give their souls up so they could get the same results without dying. Poor, weak, stupid humans.
Just worshiping whatever God or new shiny prestidigitator that dangles a carrot in front of them.
[01:43:46] Speaker A: That's good judging.
[01:43:48] Speaker B: Well, not if I can help it.
I'll continue the tradition to hunt the most succulent of souls like yours and present them to our lady of loss, our mistress of of the night.
Until she is strong enough to come back. Come back and strike all of your puny garden gods down.
Down until they are nothing. But warm food. They so desperately and tirelessly fertilize, trying to pass it off as the tiniest bit palata.
And she looks at you.
She stares deep into your soul.
Now, I'd like you guys to roll an initiative again.
[01:44:33] Speaker A: Jackie, that was a stick monologue. That was awesome.
[01:44:36] Speaker B: Thank you for letting me do the monologue.
Natural 20.
[01:44:41] Speaker A: A whole five. Wait, do you want me to do this again?
[01:44:45] Speaker B: I can do it. I'm just laughing because I rolled in that one.
[01:44:48] Speaker A: Oh, that's.
[01:44:49] Speaker B: I rolled a die.
[01:44:50] Speaker A: So good.
Jackie, that monologue was sick.
I don't know if you know this, but you're kind of a killer. DM.
[01:44:56] Speaker B: Thank you.
Okay, four. What did you roll?
[01:44:59] Speaker A: 18.
[01:45:00] Speaker B: 18.
[01:45:00] Speaker A: Oh, guys, 23. Those are weird initiatives.
[01:45:04] Speaker B: Okay, what did you roll?
[01:45:06] Speaker A: Realistically, you would be first.
[01:45:08] Speaker B: 5.
So Gath and wellbe then.
I mean, you guys can know than her.
[01:45:18] Speaker A: Could I do a religion check just to see which God she's talking? Yeah. I would like to do this.
[01:45:22] Speaker C: Yes, me too.
[01:45:24] Speaker B: And you guys can if you want to ask her anything right before initiative happens. Or if you want to say something after that monologue. I'll allow it.
[01:45:31] Speaker A: 21. You rolled the whole.
[01:45:33] Speaker B: You rolled an 18. Yeah, I get it.
[01:45:35] Speaker A: 21.
[01:45:36] Speaker B: 21.
[01:45:37] Speaker A: 21.
[01:45:38] Speaker B: I would say you don't quite get it. You're piecing together something.
[01:45:42] Speaker C: I'm working on it.
[01:45:43] Speaker B: About it, but with a 21. With. With everything she said about like lady of the Night, stuff like that. You've heard of this deity? You kind of thought about it when you saw the coin.
This is Char.
The.
[01:45:59] Speaker A: Yeah, let's go.
[01:46:02] Speaker B: She is the vampire of Ceylon.
[01:46:05] Speaker A: Oh, I honest to God was thinking vampire, but that's a lot worse. Really? Yeah, way worse. Shar is better.
[01:46:16] Speaker B: Now.
She you recognize. You recognize by her wearing the symbol and what you've seen her do. She's not char, but she is.
[01:46:27] Speaker A: Yeah. That's good.
[01:46:28] Speaker B: She serves.
[01:46:29] Speaker A: That's good.
[01:46:29] Speaker B: She serves Shar.
[01:46:31] Speaker C: She serves Shar.
[01:46:32] Speaker B: She serves sharp.
[01:46:32] Speaker A: She serves Shar by the seashore.
[01:46:34] Speaker C: Eating seashells.
[01:46:36] Speaker A: Selling.
[01:46:39] Speaker B: Okay, so Mallon, you are up first.
[01:46:42] Speaker A: Oh, gomen. I don't have any range.
[01:46:44] Speaker B: Yes, you do. Go, Mallon.
[01:46:46] Speaker A: No, I don't. Get in there.
[01:46:46] Speaker C: You can try.
[01:46:47] Speaker A: Dm. You said we could say one thing.
[01:46:49] Speaker B: At the start of.
[01:46:51] Speaker A: So as she says what she says, I raise a hand. Yes.
[01:46:54] Speaker B: What?
[01:46:57] Speaker A: We all know what succulent means. But you said that earlier. What does that mean?
[01:47:02] Speaker B: That your soul is so pure and innocent and stupid.
[01:47:07] Speaker A: Oh, no. Oh, what made that?
[01:47:09] Speaker B: It's the perfect sacrifice.
[01:47:11] Speaker A: Guys, you got me confused. And I pull out the cl.
What's the range? The songs? I feel you. The songs.
Oh, any creature. Just while you're on Spotify, do you mind if I look at the screen with you?
[01:47:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:47:26] Speaker A: Not that you don't know what you're doing. Cuz you're real smart. Concentration.
Yeah. I don't know that you. Do you have it on repeat or do you.
[01:47:35] Speaker B: No, I. This little thing. I keep hitting it and then.
[01:47:39] Speaker C: Do you have a long range weapon?
[01:47:40] Speaker A: No. No.
[01:47:41] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:47:42] Speaker A: Not that you don't know how to work spot. You're real smart.
[01:47:46] Speaker B: Thank you for letting me monolog closer. I practiced that a lot.
[01:47:49] Speaker A: I could. I could tell it was coming good. Now Mallon, right out the gate is going to move 20ft and he's going to cast a cantrip of infestation. Oh, Hoga.
So cause it. I'm just gonna read it. You cause a lot of dead mites, fleas and other parasites to appear. To appear momentarily on one creature you can see within range. Target must succeed in the constitution saving throw. Or it takes 1d6 poison damage and moves 5ft in a random direction. And there's a roll for the random direction. But that's only if she feels. I love that. That's our mini for the really scary hat.
[01:48:24] Speaker B: Well, they see their little. They're siblings.
[01:48:26] Speaker A: Yeah, I like it.
That's for whatever it's worth. Yeah.
Having the music a little loud in comments. Probably not the worst thing.
[01:48:34] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:48:35] Speaker A: Like it doesn't need to be loud. Just a little.
This is the time it's good for.
Yeah.
[01:48:40] Speaker B: Okay, so what do I make saving throw? Okay.
[01:48:44] Speaker A: Spell SA.
DC is 12. Bet you won't. You won't.
[01:48:49] Speaker B: DC is 12.
[01:48:50] Speaker A: Stupid hag says.
[01:48:56] Speaker B: I rolled a 10.
[01:48:57] Speaker A: Awesome. Okay, so we're like short. So it takes 1D6 poison damage and moves five feet in a. Yeah, I roll.
[01:49:06] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:49:10] Speaker A: Oh, 2D6 poison damage.
That's four. And then do I add my. No. Okay, so that's four damage and then damage and then I roll a D4 to see where it. This doesn't.
[01:49:23] Speaker B: It doesn't really matter.
[01:49:24] Speaker A: But five feet in a random direction could benefit us.
[01:49:27] Speaker B: We push her back.
[01:49:30] Speaker A: She moves four feet west. So. Or five feet.
[01:49:33] Speaker B: Four feet.
[01:49:34] Speaker A: Five feet. Five feet west. So that way. Right.
[01:49:37] Speaker B: Because it's the same orientation.
[01:49:39] Speaker A: Yeah, that's it actually. That's cool. And beneficial.
I like when she comes closer to us.
[01:49:46] Speaker B: Okay.
Is that your turn?
[01:49:48] Speaker A: That is actually.
[01:49:51] Speaker B: Do you want to take anything?
[01:49:52] Speaker A: Movements well, actually, yeah. You have movement afterwards. I do. I have five feet of movement. I'm going to move.
Okay, that's it.
Cr. If you are okay with me saying my words now, I think. Kroll.
[01:50:08] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, go ahead.
[01:50:09] Speaker A: A very menacing and deeper voice than you ever heard says, how dare you best match the names of my deities. Gods, Wardens, I will show you the way. The dragons recourse. I don't know, revenge. Something cool, he said. I'm gonna evangelize you.
Oh, freaking flicking flint down on all fours. And my shell grows bigger and bigger and bigger. My arms grow bigger and bigger as I turn and. Is this okay? If this is what Rodrick looks like? Yeah. Okay, I'm not this big. This is gonna be my standard. But I turn into a medium sized dragon turtle. That's.
[01:50:56] Speaker B: Dude.
[01:50:57] Speaker A: And it looks like this. I don't know if they'll show. But now I don't have wings.
But my turtle form is bigger. The claws are bigger. My teeth are much sharper, much more akin to my druidic symbol as I do. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. As I. That was sick, Daniel. Oh, that's my action.
As I roar in defiance. And that's all I do on my turn. Awesome. That was really cool, Daniel. That was really cool.
[01:51:29] Speaker B: Thank you. Thank you. Okay, yeah, yeah.
[01:51:32] Speaker A: See, whether or not the brother was doing anything, what you can do is.
So Gap's going next.
[01:51:38] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:51:39] Speaker A: And then you're go, yes.
Bad gal. That's your name. Wow, really?
[01:51:46] Speaker B: I'll tell her your name. It doesn't really matter.
[01:51:47] Speaker A: Oh, baddie gal. Well, that's phenomenal.
I'm gonna pull out a little potion. I'm gonna go throw it to the ground, and I turn invisible.
[01:51:58] Speaker B: You're like, I did it. You did it. I'll do it.
[01:52:04] Speaker A: I go, witty comment.
And then I go, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35.
Oh, looky do DM. I want to clarify really quickly. Is this an invisibly. Like a potion of a greater invisibility which stays invisible after attacks, or is this. No, you have one attack. Invisible.
[01:52:25] Speaker B: You have one attack.
[01:52:26] Speaker A: Okay, I'll take it. I'm not smart, so my first hack is an advantage because I'm invisible.
So that is a 20.
You did not bonus action rage though, because you bonus action took the potion. Oops.
[01:52:42] Speaker B: That's okay.
[01:52:43] Speaker A: Actually, I'm fine with it. That's fine.
20 to hit.
[01:52:47] Speaker B: That hits.
[01:52:47] Speaker A: Okay. And then my second attack is just that. You can have your ring right back. You don't get to use it long today.
[01:52:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:52:53] Speaker A: But it's fun. When I get to my second attack is, man, I was a little higher level. I had brutal critical, but that's okay. Or improved critical. The next one is a 23 to hit.
[01:53:04] Speaker B: Oh, that also hits.
[01:53:05] Speaker A: I'm rolling real good at the moment, but we'll see how long that lasts.
So that's gonna. Oh, it's a different damage die.
Okay. So I'm gonna. But I don't get the extra two because I'm not raging.
So I deal.
Seven plus four is 11 points of bludgeoning.
[01:53:26] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:53:26] Speaker A: As I just whip my great club around and I.
Into the back of her. And then if you're okay with my flavoring it. Yeah. I want my second attack to just be slapping her real hard in the face with my very muscular neck. Just like a giraffe.
[01:53:40] Speaker B: I love it.
[01:53:40] Speaker A: You use whichever stats are.
[01:53:41] Speaker B: That's amazing.
[01:53:42] Speaker A: Okay. That's my joke. Like, if. So if these. I would use this. I also, once again, void my vowels.
[01:53:50] Speaker B: Not that that's my turn.
[01:53:53] Speaker A: Welby, I think it's your turn. Most of your stuff.
[01:53:56] Speaker B: Yes, Welby, it is your turn.
[01:54:05] Speaker A: Okay, also remember, we have one mic, so if we're describing strategy, we should probably do this.
[01:54:13] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:54:14] Speaker C: I am going to use my movement.
5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
[01:54:25] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:54:27] Speaker A: Yep. Yeah, you're flying sight.
[01:54:30] Speaker C: Okay.
I'm going to use my action.
[01:54:37] Speaker A: Heck, yeah.
[01:54:41] Speaker C: Goodness.
Let me Google to cast a spell. Actually, first, I'll use my bonus action, and I will do my. My tentacle.
[01:54:49] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:54:49] Speaker C: And I will roll.
[01:54:51] Speaker A: Dang. You get some range on that thing.
[01:54:53] Speaker C: It's 30ft, I think.
[01:54:54] Speaker A: Let me check. That's crazy.
[01:54:56] Speaker C: Oh, it's.
[01:55:01] Speaker A: Abby's furiously calculating.
[01:55:03] Speaker C: Well, I'm just checking them in.
[01:55:04] Speaker A: Yeah, no, you gotta go.
[01:55:11] Speaker C: I run up, and I. I see that all my friends have left me, and I run up and I go.
And I go.
[01:55:18] Speaker B: I go.
I go. You're always leaving me behind. You're always running without me. You gotta stop trying to be preemptive.
[01:55:27] Speaker C: Oh, it's 60ft. So I run up.
[01:55:30] Speaker A: I just. I believe you. I just want to reach.
[01:55:33] Speaker C: I run up. I, I, I. You're always. You always do this.
[01:55:38] Speaker B: Just like your. Your mother. You're always leaving without me and not telling me what.
[01:55:42] Speaker C: What's going on. So I run up and I'm. I'm gonna use my. I'm gonna use my tentacle, which is a bone section, and I roll some.
[01:55:49] Speaker A: H. Use that tentacle.
Slap with that tentacle.
[01:55:53] Speaker C: Does a Tentacle.
[01:55:58] Speaker A: Probably spell tech wise.
[01:55:59] Speaker C: I think so.
[01:56:02] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:56:02] Speaker C: Melee spell attack. It's gonna be a 24.
[01:56:07] Speaker A: That hits okay at the moment.
[01:56:11] Speaker C: So that is one D8.
One to eight cold damage.
[01:56:23] Speaker A: Better hope she's not rescued.
[01:56:29] Speaker C: That's a four.
[01:56:30] Speaker B: I don't.
[01:56:31] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't think it's an addition.
Four points of cool damage.
[01:56:34] Speaker C: That's a four.
[01:56:35] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:56:35] Speaker A: Hey, damage is damage, y'.
[01:56:36] Speaker B: All.
[01:56:37] Speaker C: And then I'm gonna cast.
[01:56:42] Speaker B: Was that a bonus action?
[01:56:43] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:56:44] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:56:44] Speaker C: Yeah, that's a bonus action. And I'm gonna cast Wish Bolt at the third level.
[01:56:47] Speaker B: Okay.
[01:56:48] Speaker A: Heck, yeah. Should we get a concentration right now?
For which bolt should we get a concentration?
Yeah, you keep holding on to it after you cast a spell.
[01:56:57] Speaker B: Keep holding.
[01:57:00] Speaker C: So ranged spell attack.
Well, that's gonna be a.
[01:57:07] Speaker B: Wait.
[01:57:07] Speaker C: Don't tell me if I win or fail. Okay, never mind.
[01:57:13] Speaker A: Don't tell me whether or not I hit. We'll just keep moving with the scene.
[01:57:15] Speaker C: Well, I have a feature that if I fail an ability. Okay, that's gonna be a 15.
[01:57:24] Speaker B: That if it's. If it is the meat to beat me.
[01:57:28] Speaker C: To beat. Awesome. Incredible. Okay, so that's three D12.
[01:57:35] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:57:36] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[01:57:37] Speaker A: You need some D12s. You want some?
[01:57:39] Speaker C: It's okay.
I like those in there.
[01:57:50] Speaker A: Holy crap. I'm not gonna get a hit in 26.
[01:57:55] Speaker C: So I do 26 damage.
[01:57:57] Speaker A: Whoa, Abby, I don't mean this sarcastically. You did that math real fast.
[01:58:01] Speaker C: They did it for me.
[01:58:09] Speaker A: HP math is kind of the worst.
26.
[01:58:12] Speaker B: 26.
[01:58:13] Speaker A: Does it matter that it's light with stuff in?
[01:58:16] Speaker B: No, it does not matter that it's lightning.
[01:58:21] Speaker A: Anything else on your turn. Are you going to get up there? Yes, you are. I'm going to try.
[01:58:24] Speaker C: That's it? Yeah, that's it for me.
[01:58:26] Speaker A: I have a ton of healing stuff ready to go, which is good.
[01:58:32] Speaker B: Okay, she is going.
Yes, it is her turn. But before she does her turn, she's going to use one of her legendary axes.
[01:58:41] Speaker A: Oh, let's go, DM. About time. Let's kill some PCs. No, let's do this. DM.
[01:58:49] Speaker B: And I'm trying to decide which one that I want to use.
[01:58:52] Speaker A: Use the worst one.
Use it right out the gate because I have dm. Don't pull your punches. Make us suffer. I have to leave soon. Make us suffer. Don't pull your punches. Do not pull. Look at that neck. Hey, don't worry. Look at that vulnerable, long, fleshy neck.
[01:59:12] Speaker B: She is going to.
I don't know exactly how I'm supposed To do this, but because I kind of made this one up on the fly.
She's going to summon a swarm of ravens.
[01:59:23] Speaker A: Oh, what?
How? How work.
[01:59:28] Speaker B: I love how Daniel's like.
[01:59:33] Speaker A: Crazy.
[01:59:34] Speaker B: So what space does it occupy?
[01:59:47] Speaker A: Up to you.
[01:59:47] Speaker B: So swarm can occupy another creature space and vice versa. She's gonna.
She's.
[01:59:53] Speaker A: You can make it up in the DM. You do like 5 to 100, I guess. I don't know. Or however much it says. Like, do you want it to be.
[01:59:59] Speaker B: The medium form of tiny bees?
[02:00:00] Speaker A: Okay. Do you want it to be like centered on point and then it's a radius outward. Can I do this terrible, awful thing? My friend Caleb.
[02:00:06] Speaker B: I love it.
[02:00:07] Speaker A: Oh, that's hideous.
It's terrifying.
[02:00:11] Speaker B: Yeah. I want it to be like 10ft in front of me.
[02:00:15] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:00:17] Speaker B: She's gonna summon it like 10ft in front of her right there.
[02:00:19] Speaker A: So it's kind of in between. All of you radius or five.
[02:00:24] Speaker B: Are you okay?
And it's going to be like a 10.
[02:00:33] Speaker A: 10 foot radius.
[02:00:34] Speaker B: Foot radius.
[02:00:35] Speaker A: He stays.
[02:00:38] Speaker B: And it is going to swarm. It's going to make all the little guys are. Everyone that's in a 10 foot radius. It's going to everyone but you.
It's going to make melee attacks. All the little ravens or big ravens are gonna make a melee attack.
[02:01:03] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:01:03] Speaker B: To do damage. It's gonna start pecking. It's gonna try to start pecking. So all the swarms are around us.
That is going to be. Do I roll for each person? Like up to you.
[02:01:20] Speaker A: Up to you. If you roll for each of us, you have a higher, higher chance of doing damage to some of us. However, you also have to do more rolling. It's up to you.
[02:01:28] Speaker B: Well, It's a dirty 20 to hit.
[02:01:30] Speaker A: That hits all of us, I would assume.
[02:01:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:01:33] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:01:33] Speaker B: So I'm just roll once.
[02:01:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
And also I'm just gonna level with you. You're writing the hit points really big and they're where I can see them. Just. I'm sorry. I just wanted.
[02:01:43] Speaker B: I wanted to be honest because my pencil's not working well, so I'm having.
[02:01:46] Speaker A: To like just letting you know.
[02:01:47] Speaker B: Thank you.
So that's gonna be five points of piercing damage for everyone.
[02:01:56] Speaker A: Say for wealth.
[02:01:58] Speaker C: Yes. Thank you.
And my modifier.
[02:02:03] Speaker A: Your constitution.
Your constitution's okay if you're proficient. I really didn't know that. I was just trying to think of the word. I was like, know something There, there.
[02:02:13] Speaker C: That is going to pass. It's a 16.
[02:02:15] Speaker A: Perfect.
[02:02:18] Speaker C: So all right.
[02:02:19] Speaker A: And then she still has an action, right?
[02:02:21] Speaker B: Yes, she does.
Okay, she is going to.
She's going to look at the heard the. The chicken guy in front of her because.
Because she doesn't like that. He. He's up in her face and she is going to.
Hold on.
Hold on.
[02:03:04] Speaker A: Now I'm six feet.
Okay, cool. Nobody heard that fart. No, I heard it.
You heard the fart.
[02:03:15] Speaker B: You can't lie.
[02:03:16] Speaker A: No, I did. It was very well vested.
[02:03:21] Speaker B: She's gonna cast. She's gonna cast sacred flame on you.
[02:03:25] Speaker A: Oh, teriyaki chicken. That's sick. Because she has disadvantage since we're in melee with each other.
Nope. Meant to dex her. Oh shoot. You're right.
Oh, wait a minute.
[02:03:36] Speaker B: She's gonna cast sacred flame.
[02:03:39] Speaker A: It's still invisible.
No, I'm visible. But I did get a Nat 2021 and it's a Dex save.
[02:03:49] Speaker B: So if it beats your spell save. So it doesn't. It doesn't.
[02:03:51] Speaker A: Jen, can I flavor?
[02:03:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:03:53] Speaker A: What does it look like? If she casts sacred flame.
[02:03:56] Speaker B: So she grabs her sembal and this black icky like smoky flame comes right out of the center of the screw.
[02:04:08] Speaker A: And then I just slap it away with my neck. I just slap my neck for a nickel.
No.
But as I lift my neck up, I just go, not today, Asmodeus.
[02:04:21] Speaker B: And then she is going to.
I think she's just gonna. I think she's gonna stay there.
[02:04:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:04:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:04:30] Speaker A: Cool. Top of initiative, right? Yes, that's me. Crawls on deck. What was it gonna do? I had like.
[02:04:41] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:04:42] Speaker A: What is. Do I know what that symbol is?
[02:04:44] Speaker B: Do you know what the symbol is made of? Her symbol?
[02:04:46] Speaker A: The one on her chest.
[02:04:51] Speaker B: It's a. I mean it's a metal, but it's also. It's a magic item.
[02:04:58] Speaker A: No, I said the only reason I showed up today, I want to use it. No big deal, man.
[02:05:05] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:05:06] Speaker A: Concentration up to one minute. She's manufactured Metalogist.
Okay.
Yeah. No, no. Heat metal is. If you don't take it off, it hurts you. It's one of the only spells in the game that just happens.
Just works. I like that. I'm glad we are. This is great. You guys really are a couple.
Do you know how heat metal works?
[02:05:33] Speaker B: I do.
[02:05:33] Speaker A: I have it here. Choose and I think causes glow hot. Any creature physical contact with the object takes 2d8 fire damage when I cast the spell until the spell ends. You can use a bonus action on each of your subsequent turns to cause this damage again. So 2d8. 2d8 at the beginning. And then I'M just going to use the.
The constant. Oh, my gosh.
I think it's the one in your. No, it's a. Oh, Abby has your D8. Oh, I was going to say.
[02:06:02] Speaker B: Yeah, mom and dad.
[02:06:04] Speaker A: That's going to be 10 for the action.
[02:06:06] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:06:07] Speaker A: And then for my bonus action increases. Damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above the second. Yes, but I do not think you specify that you cast it at a higher level. Yeah, you're right, I didn't.
Yeah, it's just.
[02:06:24] Speaker C: You should mark off that you use that stuff.
[02:06:26] Speaker A: Yeah, I used it at second level. Do you have any bonus action, like cantrips or anything? What? I have a bonus action. It says a bonus action. Well, I think that's on subsequent turns, so on a different turn you can. Yeah. I'm so spelling. So I have. That be crazy. I mean, that would be wild.
[02:06:41] Speaker B: Hello?
Yeah, that.
[02:06:45] Speaker A: It's going.
[02:06:46] Speaker C: No, no, no.
[02:06:47] Speaker A: You've expanded the spell slot.
You have three spells.
All right, so there. That's my turn. Okay, sick. That's awesome.
[02:06:56] Speaker B: Okay. It's a good turn. I would say it's Kroll's turn, but we actually have little evil boy.
No longer a little boy. He's an English man.
[02:07:09] Speaker A: P.
He's an inner tween.
[02:07:11] Speaker B: He walks in and he looks exactly like Gaff.
[02:07:18] Speaker A: What?
That's okay. The more the merrier. Does he do anything else?
[02:07:30] Speaker B: He stands there and he just stands there menacingly.
[02:07:39] Speaker A: He's like, should I help that person?
He's just remembering the last time his sister pulled his hair.
[02:07:44] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:07:48] Speaker A: Hi, doggy.
[02:07:52] Speaker B: I guess.
[02:07:54] Speaker A: Does he use movement to get toward us or does he.
[02:07:56] Speaker B: Yeah, I was trying to decide. He's going to. He's gonna try to sneak in.
[02:08:00] Speaker A: Okay, well, we're both concentrating. We're closest to him. We probably.
It's up to you. Dm.
[02:08:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:08:06] Speaker A: So if he has like a Rogie ability where he needs to stealth, then he can make a stealth check. Now, it's also up to you whether or not, I mean, this is a bunch of DM room. Some DMs are like, you can't hide if there's nowhere to hide. And other DMs are like, well, if people aren't looking at you, maybe you can. It's up to you. You're the dm.
[02:08:21] Speaker B: You know what? He's not gonna try to sneak in. He's just gonna walk and use his full movement to walk in. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30ft right there. And he looks like you. And He.
Yeah, we don't need that now.
And he points at you.
[02:08:43] Speaker A: I just. I turn my neck all the way around and he goes, oh, no. I just look at him and I.
[02:08:49] Speaker B: Go, oh, that's how that feels.
[02:08:53] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:08:53] Speaker B: And he has. Instead of your hand axe, he has two daggers in his hand.
[02:08:58] Speaker A: Okay, now it's Kroll's turn. Yes.
[02:09:02] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:09:04] Speaker A: Now, I'm so.
I'm so sorry to do this to us, Jackie. Is that the only action he took on his turn?
[02:09:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:09:11] Speaker A: Do you want him to have action dashed to get all the way to us?
[02:09:15] Speaker B: No, I. I. I'll. I'll. I'll keep.
[02:09:20] Speaker A: I think so. Sorry. Real quick.
[02:09:23] Speaker B: Quick.
[02:09:24] Speaker A: I think I need to go.
[02:09:25] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:09:25] Speaker A: So you can abs.
You can. You've taught me, like, all of this stuff, so here you go.
[02:09:34] Speaker B: I'm sorry. It's running late.
[02:09:37] Speaker A: It's completely fine. I expected it. I just have to.
[02:09:39] Speaker B: I apologize to all of you guys.
[02:09:41] Speaker C: He has a big test tomorrow, so everybody.
[02:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:09:43] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[02:09:44] Speaker B: You're a nerd.
[02:09:45] Speaker A: What?
Yeah. For the faa.
Oh. Future farmers of America.
Bye, Noah. Bye. Thanks for coming. Good luck squirming the cash.
It's your turn.
[02:10:02] Speaker B: Right.
[02:10:03] Speaker A: Thank you very much.
5, 10, 15. I'm gonna be weird. And because no one's there, I'm gonna.
[02:10:08] Speaker B: Change out my money.
[02:10:10] Speaker A: Paint a trip.
[02:10:11] Speaker B: Nice.
Here I am.
[02:10:14] Speaker A: I'd like to try to bite her.
[02:10:18] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:10:19] Speaker A: Dm.
[02:10:19] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:10:20] Speaker A: This is a question for you. You are the m. You're ruling. Do you do flanking or no?
[02:10:25] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:10:26] Speaker A: Okay. So he would have an advantage on that.
[02:10:28] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:10:28] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, there's a question. You're the Damn Nice. Nice.
15.
Hey, that's great, because how much I deal. 14 points of mouth damage. Mouth damage.
Oh, goodness.
[02:10:57] Speaker B: Okay.
You do what?
[02:10:59] Speaker A: 14 points of damage. I go straight for the calf.
[02:11:02] Speaker B: Straight for the go.
Okay.
[02:11:08] Speaker A: I roll.
[02:11:09] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:11:09] Speaker A: Cast, chomp, cash, chunk.
[02:11:11] Speaker B: Okay.
She's looking not great.
[02:11:14] Speaker A: Excellent.
[02:11:15] Speaker B: She's a little bloody. She's got some blood.
[02:11:17] Speaker A: Bye. Thank you.
I squat down on my tiny thighs, and every one of my neck abs doubles in definition. And I just look at her and I just go. I finally get to kill today, and I'm gonna rage, and then I'm going to reckless attack her.
[02:11:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:11:40] Speaker A: Yeah, okay, that's true. I'll just attack an advantage of being reckless.
That is going to be an 18 to hit.
[02:11:50] Speaker B: It hits.
[02:11:51] Speaker A: And then again, second one's a five.
Okay. But I do more damage now that I'm raging, so there's gonna be.
Hey.
Almost as much as my one attack before that is gonna be 11 points of bludgeoning damage.
[02:12:09] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:12:10] Speaker A: And I just cast bonk.
I just hit her right over the head with my great club.
[02:12:15] Speaker B: Okay, cool, cool, cool.
[02:12:19] Speaker A: Oh, and I also tell her, if that's okay with you, I also tell her somewhere out there, you're depriving a village of its idiot.
Okay, that's my turn.
[02:12:36] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:12:39] Speaker A: I wrote all those vicious mockeries for a reason.
[02:12:44] Speaker B: She.
It is Wellbe's turn. But she's gonna take a legendary action and she's going to point gath.
[02:12:56] Speaker A: I look confused.
[02:12:58] Speaker C: Which gath?
[02:12:59] Speaker B: La gath.
[02:13:02] Speaker A: All right. Anyway.
[02:13:03] Speaker B: And she is going to point at you.
[02:13:07] Speaker A: I just crossed my eyes in confusion.
[02:13:09] Speaker B: She's gonna speak some weird celestial and you hear a bell fill the air. It's gonna catch you, pull the dead on you.
[02:13:20] Speaker A: What kind of saving throw, Connor?
[02:13:22] Speaker B: Wisdom.
[02:13:23] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, guys.
[02:13:28] Speaker B: Are you missing it? Are you. Do you have hit points missing?
[02:13:31] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah.
[02:13:32] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:13:32] Speaker A: Oh, that was actually really good. That was a four.
[02:13:35] Speaker B: Okay, wait a second. I was like, which side of this amount?
You are going to take four points of necrotic damage.
[02:13:43] Speaker A: She had more than level five spell casting.
[02:13:47] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:13:48] Speaker A: Should be two D12.
[02:13:50] Speaker B: Two D12.
[02:13:52] Speaker A: Gotta keep me in the cantry.
[02:13:55] Speaker B: Where's my D12 go?
[02:13:59] Speaker A: I liked that one. Less.
No, that's completely fair.
[02:14:03] Speaker B: 12 points in necrotic diamond.
[02:14:05] Speaker A: Owie.
Owie.
Okay, guys, got a lot of hit points. Let's keep moving.
Okay, now I think it's your turn, lovey.
[02:14:14] Speaker C: Okay, I. Yeah, I'm going to take a little steppy step forwards.
And I'm going to take another steppy step forward.
So the wording of this is for my tentacle. The wording is as a bonus action on your turn, you can move the tentacle up to 30ft and repeat the attack. Can I just repeat the attack or do I have to move it?
[02:14:43] Speaker A: If. If it hasn't moved and she's still.
[02:14:45] Speaker B: In the same spot, you're fine.
[02:14:46] Speaker A: Right?
[02:14:46] Speaker C: I can. Okay.
[02:14:47] Speaker A: Up to 30.
[02:14:47] Speaker C: Okay, I'm going to repeat the attack.
[02:14:50] Speaker A: Zeros are two.
[02:14:54] Speaker C: So that is a D8.
[02:14:56] Speaker B: Never. Ow.
[02:14:56] Speaker A: A D.
You have to roll the hit.
[02:14:58] Speaker B: Right.
[02:14:59] Speaker C: Well, it's a D8 of damage.
[02:15:00] Speaker A: Right? You roll the hit for the attack.
[02:15:02] Speaker C: Oh, do I?
[02:15:02] Speaker B: Yeah, I would imagine. Yeah. Sorry.
[02:15:06] Speaker A: Melee spell attack. Right.
[02:15:09] Speaker C: That is another 15.
[02:15:11] Speaker A: Hell yeah.
[02:15:20] Speaker C: That's it. That's a one.
[02:15:21] Speaker A: Hey, that's pretty good.
[02:15:24] Speaker B: Oh, wait.
[02:15:26] Speaker A: One point of damage.
[02:15:27] Speaker B: I'm so sorry.
[02:15:27] Speaker A: Damage is damage.
[02:15:29] Speaker C: And then I'm going to use my Action to deal witch bolt damage again.
[02:15:35] Speaker A: And it just works. Yeah, we've got both of the it just works spells going.
[02:15:40] Speaker C: It just works, which is another three.
[02:15:44] Speaker A: Dates, if I'm correct.
When you upcrast. When you upcast witchbolt, it only increases the initial damage. And all the others are just a D12.
[02:15:54] Speaker C: Oh, so it's two D12s.
[02:15:55] Speaker A: It's one. So at the beginning, because you cast it at third level, you dealt three D12. But on all the other actions, it's just a D12. Yeah. The thing that works for you is that it's an auto hit. Yeah, you don't have to hit again.
4.4points damage.
Big baddie, lady.
[02:16:16] Speaker B: Okay. It's not looking great, guys. Is the swarm of ravens still there?
[02:16:19] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:16:20] Speaker B: Okay. It would be.
[02:16:20] Speaker A: Right. I don't know where it is in Initiative, but it can just go on her turn if you want.
[02:16:24] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I should do that. Okay, so the. The ravens are gonna go, guys, let's go, dude.
[02:16:29] Speaker A: Okay, well, hit me, dude. Hit me, dude.
[02:16:32] Speaker B: And they are going to. You roll.
[02:16:38] Speaker A: 10Ft, right?
What? Yeah.
[02:16:41] Speaker B: Yeah, within 10ft. Does a 10 hit anyone?
[02:16:44] Speaker A: No. Nope.
[02:16:45] Speaker B: Okay, then.
[02:16:48] Speaker A: I like to think I just bounced them off one.
[02:16:50] Speaker B: Yeah, they're just like.
[02:16:52] Speaker A: I'm slapping them, rocking my head side to side like a giraffe batting them.
[02:16:55] Speaker B: Out of the air. Okay, so she is going to.
Let's see. She is going to.
I don't like, like, hurting you guys.
[02:17:10] Speaker A: So as a bonus action, he can do the damage on that.
[02:17:15] Speaker B: She is going to look at Wellbe.
[02:17:20] Speaker A: Oh, spaghetti O.
[02:17:22] Speaker B: And she is going to cast harm on Wellbe. Oh.
[02:17:30] Speaker A: Oh, that's not good. That's harmful. We're about to have one less Wellbe.
[02:17:37] Speaker B: You need to make a constitution savings room.
[02:17:40] Speaker A: Oh, don't miss this one.
[02:17:42] Speaker B: Don't fail.
Yes, that's fine.
And the.
So what she's gonna do is she is going to.
[02:17:59] Speaker A: You have the ability that if I can, I give someone my inspiration?
[02:18:03] Speaker B: Yeah, that's fine. No.
[02:18:07] Speaker A: Do I have my inspiration so you don't die?
[02:18:09] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:18:10] Speaker A: Here's my inspiration.
[02:18:12] Speaker B: You're a very merciful DM as I cast harm.
[02:18:18] Speaker C: Actually, I did better, but that is a 12.
[02:18:24] Speaker B: And the.
[02:18:25] Speaker A: What's your spell?
[02:18:26] Speaker B: Save. That's right. It's spells. Sorry, My brain went. What do I think that fails.
[02:18:32] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:18:32] Speaker A: No way.
No way at all.
[02:18:36] Speaker C: An ability check is not the same as a. As a saving throw, correct?
[02:18:40] Speaker B: No. Okay, so I just want to refresh myself on those beats.
[02:18:47] Speaker A: Yep. They're like.
[02:18:47] Speaker B: I remembered Them she's gonna touch her symbol, which is hot.
So that's kind of weird.
And she kind of yells and.
And she's going to just, like, push towards you. And as she pushes towards you with her hand, like, a swarm of, like, locusts is gonna surround you.
Hold on. I got him. I got him.
And you are going to take. I'm so sorry. I feel really bad. I hate.
[02:19:19] Speaker A: Don't talk.
I have many more D6s, and it'd probably be a good idea to grab seven and then just 1, 2, 3.
[02:19:28] Speaker B: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
[02:19:31] Speaker A: Well, you could. You could just roll seven twice.
[02:19:33] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I could do that.
[02:19:35] Speaker A: That's so much fun.
[02:19:36] Speaker B: That's just true. Do you want to roll those seven for me?
[02:19:39] Speaker A: Do I want to roll these?
[02:19:40] Speaker B: Yeah, do you want to roll them for me?
[02:19:41] Speaker A: Are you just rolling seven?
[02:19:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:19:46] Speaker A: 3, 6, 9, 12, 17, 23 is mine alone.
[02:19:55] Speaker B: Why do you always.
[02:19:56] Speaker A: Why do you always die?
Well, harm's an interesting spell because it can't kill it all is in the one room.
I have 23 on mine.
[02:20:09] Speaker B: So on a failed save, you're going to take 41 points damage. The damage can't reduce the target's hit points below one.
So if the target fails the saving throw, its hit point maximum is reduced for one hour by an amount equal to the necrotic damage it took.
[02:20:34] Speaker A: So that's your hit points, but that's also all of your hit points.
You can't have more than that.
[02:20:40] Speaker B: Right? Right, Right, Right, right, right, right, right.
[02:20:42] Speaker C: Right, right, right, right.
[02:20:43] Speaker A: Wellbe, you were really cool. It was good knowing you, dude.
[02:20:46] Speaker C: You liked your concentration.
[02:20:48] Speaker A: Yeah. You gotta make a 20.
[02:20:50] Speaker C: I do.
[02:20:51] Speaker B: But this, what was your play as your husband. And he can save you.
You're not dead. You're not dead yet.
[02:21:02] Speaker A: You're gonna kill a player today that you took. Whichever one I kill a character. And most of them are 10.
[02:21:07] Speaker B: Why is it Abby? Why did I go for Abby?
[02:21:10] Speaker C: That's a 13.
[02:21:11] Speaker A: Okay, well, you're not concentrating. Sorry.
[02:21:14] Speaker C: That's okay.
[02:21:16] Speaker A: You probably have other things to do now. Yeah. Cass with full run away. Yep.
Is that all? Big baddie lady. Does she, like, walk out of where we are so we can hit her?
[02:21:35] Speaker B: No, she stays. She stays there and it's back up to Mallon.
[02:21:39] Speaker A: Mallon.
And then it's a little. It's you, Malin. Yeah.
[02:21:44] Speaker B: Then it's Lil Baddie.
[02:21:46] Speaker A: That's his rapper.
[02:21:47] Speaker B: Okay. What?
[02:21:48] Speaker A: That's his rapper name. He's a really bad rapper.
[02:21:51] Speaker B: Their names are. I really am proud of their names. And y' all aren't gonna get to know their names. We didn't ask.
[02:21:58] Speaker A: Jeff, right.
[02:22:02] Speaker C: Is going to use his bonus action to heat metal, which is 2D8 fire damage.
[02:22:09] Speaker A: Right there. Yeah, that's it.
[02:22:11] Speaker B: Are you sure?
[02:22:11] Speaker C: But at higher levels.
[02:22:12] Speaker A: And I'm 100% sure he did not cast at a higher level.
[02:22:15] Speaker C: Oh, you're right.
[02:22:15] Speaker B: Right.
[02:22:17] Speaker C: So four plus. SO six.
[02:22:19] Speaker A: Six plus a fire.
We really need to kill her.
[02:22:22] Speaker B: She is not looking good.
[02:22:24] Speaker A: That's good.
[02:22:24] Speaker B: Good.
[02:22:25] Speaker A: That's good.
[02:22:26] Speaker C: That was his bonus action. His.
Where is.
[02:22:32] Speaker A: I think he should probably get away from the ravens that are going to keep attacking.
[02:22:35] Speaker C: Okay, so he's. He's going to disengage.
[02:22:39] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:22:39] Speaker A: That's an action. True.
I don't know. I don't think they're in range too. They are. It's 10ft.
I thought that was GM's. It is up to you.
Well, actually, I guess we wouldn't know. Sorry. That's true. Okay, we wouldn't know.
[02:22:57] Speaker C: He's gonna.
He's not gonna disengage. But he is going to.
You're actually. It's a wild chase.
[02:23:06] Speaker A: Creature.
[02:23:07] Speaker C: And use his bonus action.
[02:23:08] Speaker A: If they're like a singular creature.
[02:23:09] Speaker C: So he's gonna attack.
[02:23:12] Speaker A: They're an area of effect.
[02:23:13] Speaker C: Grounded.
[02:23:14] Speaker B: I didn't say they're an area of effect.
[02:23:20] Speaker A: I think it does. I think he is large if he does that.
[02:23:23] Speaker B: Wait, what did he do? I looked back at him.
Okay.
[02:23:30] Speaker C: The opportunity attack. He's right here.
[02:23:33] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:23:33] Speaker C: So he's gonna take the opportunity attack and he's gonna go 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
[02:23:45] Speaker A: I don't know that he ever left their range. Yeah, he never lost the range.
She's omega flanked. Is the black bear large or medium?
[02:23:55] Speaker C: Medium.
[02:23:55] Speaker A: Oh, dang.
Okay, you messed up.
[02:23:58] Speaker C: And I didn't take. I didn't. So he's going to attack.
[02:24:01] Speaker A: Okay, you already used your action to watch it.
[02:24:05] Speaker B: Oh, I forgot. Okay. Okay.
[02:24:06] Speaker A: But you put a ton of action. I mean, there is a dragon, a medium dragon turtle, a medium bear, and a medium bird who is mostly neck muscle. Neck bird. A nerd. A nerd. Almost. Okay.
[02:24:19] Speaker C: No, it's okay.
[02:24:19] Speaker B: I'll see you.
[02:24:20] Speaker A: So is that Malon's whole turn?
Okay, I think it's not gas.
[02:24:24] Speaker C: That's.
[02:24:25] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not gas. Now he's going to little body. He's gonna. Dad, is Dash in action?
[02:24:32] Speaker A: It would be, yes. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 is what he gets.
[02:24:37] Speaker B: You.
[02:24:37] Speaker A: You're gonna dash to who?
[02:24:40] Speaker B: Yes. Gaff.
[02:24:42] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:24:42] Speaker B: Gaff. Yes, yes, yes.
[02:24:47] Speaker A: Gaff.
[02:24:47] Speaker C: So now you're flying flanked. Yes, I'm also flanked, but she's flanked.
[02:24:51] Speaker B: It's a flank.
A flower.
[02:24:57] Speaker A: I assume that's unless he has any bonus actions. That's probably his turn, right?
[02:25:03] Speaker B: That's his. That's.
[02:25:04] Speaker A: His turn's going to bite.
Oh, yeah. That's good. 25.
Yeah. Daniel, it's awesome. The cat that you cast, carn. That's cool. 12 points of damage.
That's excellent, man. You deal a lot of damage in that form. Yeah, it's a D12 plus four. That's crazy. But it's only one. It's such a goodrick bit at the calf last time. I think he's gonna. With his no longer stub of hands gonna grab onto her.
[02:25:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:25:59] Speaker A: And grab on. He goes crazy things.
[02:26:04] Speaker B: He's kind of.
[02:26:06] Speaker A: Even though he's not bigger, I want to imagine that just in a moment, the head gets just a wee bit bigger as I go down and I just chomp off the head. And as I open it up, the head sick. Rolls off the floor. As the body crumples as I, you know, hunch back down. And I as like a dragon turtle. And then I get flipped.
I love it.
Dm. Does that mean her swarm of ravens also lives?
[02:26:37] Speaker B: Yes. The swarm of ravens goes. You're gonna live inspiration for that. I love the head roll as just an in between when this happens. Not gas lets out, just. Just a blood curdling like roar.
[02:27:00] Speaker C: We killed his sister.
[02:27:03] Speaker B: That's all it is now as his.
[02:27:06] Speaker A: Sister'S head rolls away, my head just. My head just turns out of my long neck and I go, you're next, buddy. And I'm gonna roll an advantage twice.
That is a 16.
[02:27:19] Speaker B: Oh, I'm sorry. I have to look at his.
That hits.
[02:27:23] Speaker A: And a 23.
[02:27:26] Speaker B: That also hit.
[02:27:34] Speaker A: That is gonna be one damage. That was real bad.
This is gonna be 15. 15 points of bludgeoning damage. And I want to flavor it. DM that As I twist my head backward on my neck, I just lift my great club and then swing myself around like reverse torsional force. Like the tension of my neck like whipped my body around. I'm gonna slap him one time with the great club and then bring it back over and hit him on the back.
[02:28:04] Speaker B: So you slap him? Do you hit him in the face or.
[02:28:06] Speaker A: If you're okay with the flavoring, I wanna whip the feet out from under him and then when he slaps the ground and bring it back over My head and bring it down. I mean, I'm sure he's not actually prone, but just flavoring.
[02:28:14] Speaker B: Okay. I love that. And then when you do it, when he like, he kind of like his body kind of shifts. And then after you do it and this is obviously just flavoring, he like, his head like whipped around and he just like.
And like adjusts back.
[02:28:34] Speaker A: I just look at him and I go, you should have worked more neck.
I did. I did. Yeah. I rolled a one on one in damage die.
[02:28:42] Speaker B: I rolled a one. I rolled a one.
[02:28:43] Speaker A: Right. But your rage would be six twice.
I. So I have plus two from rage, plus two from strength. Oh, your strength's plus two.
[02:28:56] Speaker B: Okay, it's now. Is that your turn?
[02:28:58] Speaker A: About my time.
[02:28:59] Speaker B: It's now his turn.
[02:29:00] Speaker A: Great.
[02:29:01] Speaker B: So not. Gath is going to use his action to.
[02:29:05] Speaker A: Wait, wait. Gas just went right. So a wellbeater. Unless he's doing a legendary action.
[02:29:10] Speaker B: Oh, no. Is. What is it? Well, I had it wrong.
[02:29:14] Speaker A: And that's what it is to be a dm.
[02:29:17] Speaker C: I just want to confirm.
[02:29:19] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:29:19] Speaker C: If I shoot a straight line that's 100ft long, 5ft wide, I'm not gonna hit my friends. If I move right here. I just want to be super sure.
[02:29:31] Speaker A: Five feet wide.
[02:29:33] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll allow it.
No, you're not going to hit them. Okay.
[02:29:37] Speaker A: It's like. Let me clarify this mini position.
[02:29:44] Speaker C: I'm going to cast lightning bolt.
[02:29:46] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:29:47] Speaker C: That is a dexterity saving throw from you.
[02:29:50] Speaker A: Okay, you should like D6s or are you going to roll them one by one?
[02:29:55] Speaker C: I like rolling them one by one.
[02:29:56] Speaker B: Sure.
[02:29:56] Speaker A: That's good.
[02:29:57] Speaker C: I think it's my version of rolling all the.
You like to roll all the dice out.
[02:30:05] Speaker B: That's a 14.
[02:30:09] Speaker C: That meets.
[02:30:11] Speaker A: So you take half damage.
[02:30:13] Speaker B: Okay. Yeah.
[02:30:14] Speaker C: So do you want me to roll all my dice and then.
[02:30:17] Speaker B: And then pop it? Yeah, your D6C. I see.
[02:30:24] Speaker A: Anybody, any thoughts as this happens?
[02:30:27] Speaker B: Yeah. What are your feelings as creepy lady is.
[02:30:33] Speaker A: I feel mostly neck right now.
Have you guys seen a video of a farmer from some nondescript place and he's a potato farmer from some foreign country and he goes, my life is potato.
When you. When the truck takes the potatoes, you get sad because you know you will not see the potatoes anymore.
[02:30:55] Speaker C: So is that. What is that.
[02:30:59] Speaker B: Half of 15? Yeah.
[02:31:01] Speaker C: So that seven.
[02:31:02] Speaker A: Yeah. 15, 18, they always go down a seven them.
[02:31:05] Speaker B: So he takes seven points.
[02:31:06] Speaker A: That's six. D six. It's an eight D six spell. You have two more D six.
Yeah. You have two more D six dot eight.
[02:31:17] Speaker C: So 19. So eight.
[02:31:20] Speaker B: Hey, we got there eight seconds.
[02:31:27] Speaker A: Okay, now it's Malon.
You're never gonna not be going, oh, it's me.
[02:31:32] Speaker C: This is just like when we play combat and I play two people and it's confusing.
I am gonna stand up. I'm gonna attack.
Can I be here?
[02:31:44] Speaker A: Sure. Yeah.
[02:31:45] Speaker C: So that I don't.
[02:31:46] Speaker A: He's still flanking.
[02:31:48] Speaker C: I am gonna attack as a brown bear and I'm going to roll at advantage.
[02:31:53] Speaker A: Yes.
[02:31:54] Speaker C: So that is a.
Oh, goodness.
[02:31:58] Speaker B: Dex.
[02:31:58] Speaker A: To hit it should have an attack.
[02:32:01] Speaker C: Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
[02:32:03] Speaker A: I'm sorry.
How dare you, Zach, try to 4.
[02:32:09] Speaker C: 20. Does a 20 hit?
[02:32:10] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:32:11] Speaker C: Does a.
Does a 17 hit?
[02:32:14] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:32:14] Speaker C: Okay, well, my first attack is gonna be with claws. I'm gonna. I'm gonna hit him with the. Just like I'm gonna hit him with.
[02:32:24] Speaker B: Your clock with my claws out.
[02:32:27] Speaker C: So I hit with my claws.
[02:32:29] Speaker A: My quacks.
I hit him on my clocks.
[02:32:34] Speaker C: Three, two, five, two, seven.
Okay, I'm gonna attack again. I didn't.
[02:32:42] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:32:43] Speaker C: Does a 17 hit?
[02:32:46] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:32:47] Speaker C: Does a.
[02:32:48] Speaker B: That.
[02:32:53] Speaker C: Four plus six. 12.
[02:32:57] Speaker B: 12 points.
[02:33:01] Speaker A: You do deal. One D6. Not two. D6.
On your bite.
[02:33:06] Speaker C: We'll do six.
[02:33:07] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:33:07] Speaker C: Because my first roll was a four plus two.
[02:33:10] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:33:12] Speaker C: So sorry.
[02:33:12] Speaker B: What?
[02:33:13] Speaker A: Okay, eight.
[02:33:14] Speaker B: Eight.
[02:33:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Six plus two.
[02:33:16] Speaker C: No, I rolled a four. My first roll.
[02:33:18] Speaker B: Four.
[02:33:18] Speaker A: Okay, gotcha.
[02:33:19] Speaker B: Six.
[02:33:20] Speaker A: Get dog. Dog.
[02:33:24] Speaker B: He's looking gaff. Not gaff. Is looking bloody gaff.
[02:33:27] Speaker A: Let me get neck. Nick.
[02:33:31] Speaker B: Nick, Nick.
[02:33:32] Speaker A: Patty whack.
[02:33:33] Speaker C: That's my turn.
[02:33:34] Speaker A: Okay, now it's not gaff. I bet he has something. Little baddie.
[02:33:38] Speaker B: He is going to turn to crawl and he is going to use his action to.
He's going to slam with his daggers.
[02:34:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[02:34:05] Speaker B: What am I.
[02:34:08] Speaker A: You have a lot to my edges to dm.
You won't hit Kroger.
[02:34:13] Speaker B: What?
Well, I got multi attack as well.
That. That is gonna be. Does an 8 hit?
[02:34:23] Speaker A: Doesn't hit, Mike. And then.
[02:34:26] Speaker B: Does a 13 hit it does not hit. He's got a lot of.
[02:34:29] Speaker A: What's your bonus?
[02:34:32] Speaker B: Oh, wait, I'm sorry.
I. I also get another bonus. Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Plus six, plus four. So.
[02:34:41] Speaker A: So the first one.
[02:34:42] Speaker B: The first one. That's a nine.
[02:34:44] Speaker A: That's not a.
[02:34:44] Speaker B: So 19. There's a 19.
[02:34:46] Speaker A: First one was a 19.
[02:34:47] Speaker B: No, first one was a 12.
[02:34:49] Speaker A: Second was a 19.
[02:34:49] Speaker B: Second one was a 19.
[02:34:50] Speaker A: 19 does hit.
[02:34:51] Speaker B: 19 does hit. So that one hits.
[02:34:56] Speaker A: Yeah. Afraid to be different.
[02:34:57] Speaker B: And you are going to get.
He's going to do. He's gonna go. And he's like, I'm sorry. He's outset. Because as his sister Ted is laying in front of him, and so he misses the first one, and then the second one.
[02:35:17] Speaker A: Yeah, it's coming out of my wall.
[02:35:19] Speaker B: So the second one, he just goes into your side with his right hand, and he is going to. You're going to take four. I mean. Nope, you're gonna take nine. Bludgeoning damage.
And then he is going to.
What?
He's going to move.
[02:35:45] Speaker A: Do it.
[02:35:46] Speaker B: He's going to move over.
Like, I know it's going to prop to D1.
[02:35:52] Speaker A: Does he have an ability to not proc.
[02:35:54] Speaker B: No, he's. He knows he's going to. I know he's going to prom.
[02:35:56] Speaker A: 1.
[02:35:58] Speaker B: He's going to move right here. Okay, I'm not going to counting. He's moving here. That's enough movement. Attack.
[02:36:03] Speaker A: From you, you, from you, from me.
Would you call this flanked or no? Dm. It's up to you. Up to you. Yeah.
[02:36:13] Speaker B: Yes, I would.
[02:36:18] Speaker A: Yes. One. You're rolling an advantage. I got a 16.
[02:36:23] Speaker C: Oh, I got a 19 and 17.
[02:36:26] Speaker B: What?
Hit.
[02:36:28] Speaker C: Okay, I'm gonna use my.
[02:36:30] Speaker B: My.
[02:36:30] Speaker C: Should I use 1D6 or 2D4?
[02:36:34] Speaker A: Your heart's content. 2D4 is mathematically superior. I got five points of damage.
[02:36:39] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:36:40] Speaker A: Like chop.
[02:36:41] Speaker C: That's a D4.
Six, eight.
[02:36:48] Speaker B: Eight points. Yeah.
[02:36:49] Speaker A: Okay, so 16 so far.
[02:36:51] Speaker B: I. Oh, Oh, I was just doing it. Okay.
[02:36:56] Speaker A: Hold on.
[02:36:56] Speaker B: My brain, dude.
[02:36:57] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Math is. The DM is a lot of math.
[02:37:00] Speaker B: Okay.
And how many?
What? How do you want to do that?
[02:37:06] Speaker A: Yeah, well, how do you guys do that?
[02:37:09] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess. I don't know what order.
[02:37:11] Speaker A: So I like to think that I grab his foot and I take it off so he, like, falls to the ground.
[02:37:18] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:37:19] Speaker C: I. So when that happens, I just, like, I see that he's flat, and I just go in with my claw. Just, like, clawing.
[02:37:25] Speaker A: Oh.
[02:37:25] Speaker C: Revenant in his face and.
[02:37:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[02:37:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:37:29] Speaker A: Bloody beating. Dm.
[02:37:30] Speaker B: Can I run wild with this? Yeah. Gath. How do you want to kill Gath?
[02:37:35] Speaker A: So I'm going to walk up to him, and I'm just going to roll him over and I'm going to look him in the eyes.
Is he not dead?
It's okay if he's not. I can fix that.
[02:37:47] Speaker B: Oh, no, no. He dies.
[02:37:50] Speaker A: Okay. I roll him over.
I wanted to check something, and I'm gonna put the great club down, and then I'm gonna. I'm gonna sit on his chest and put my knees down on his shoulders. I'm gonna grab him by the head and I'm gonna go, I'm gonna kill someone today. And then I'm just gonna lift up my muscular neck and I'm just gonna wham, wham, wham, wham, wham. And I smash his face in until his nose breaks inward into his face. Just.
And I'm just painting the floor around me in blood.
[02:38:23] Speaker B: Okay.
As you're doing this, his form kind of. It's almost like it melts from. From you to this weird bluish blob.
[02:38:36] Speaker A: I stop in the middle and I go, oh.
[02:38:40] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:38:41] Speaker C: You are so cute.
[02:38:43] Speaker B: And you guys are.
[02:38:47] Speaker A: Out of combat.
Flicking flick.
[02:38:51] Speaker B: I didn't know the attack was so violent.
[02:38:53] Speaker A: I'm not. Usually I reserve it for when I'm.
[02:38:56] Speaker B: Above.
[02:38:58] Speaker A: And maybe for a few seconds.
[02:39:04] Speaker B: What do you guys do?
[02:39:06] Speaker A: I.
As my shell that was, like, looking like this forms back into my normal teal and green.
[02:39:15] Speaker C: I also turned.
[02:39:19] Speaker A: I transformed back into an elegant elven prince. No.
As I. I look and I say, Gadria's name has been Re.
I can't. I can't think. Vindicated, Re. Vindicated. There it is. Vindicated. Here. Today I just sit back covered in someone else's blood, and I go, that's better.
[02:39:48] Speaker C: I say that Mallo. Mallon.
[02:39:52] Speaker B: Malon.
[02:39:52] Speaker C: Malon runs over and just gives a big hug to Welby.
[02:39:55] Speaker B: Okay. And she's like, oh, now you.
[02:40:00] Speaker A: Now.
Oh, no. She's become the hag.
[02:40:09] Speaker C: You always do this every time.
[02:40:12] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:40:15] Speaker B: Does anyone look at the. Either one of the bodies or search it or.
[02:40:19] Speaker A: Yeah, I'll poke.
[02:40:21] Speaker B: Yes or no?
[02:40:22] Speaker A: I'll look at hers.
[02:40:23] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:40:24] Speaker A: I'll poke. Not Gath's body with a hand axe.
[02:40:27] Speaker C: Okay.
[02:40:27] Speaker A: I just poke it.
[02:40:29] Speaker B: When you poke his body, a bunch.
[02:40:31] Speaker A: Of treasure spills out.
[02:40:35] Speaker B: A little set of spectacles, like, falls out of his pocket.
[02:40:40] Speaker A: Those are for nerds. And I pick it up, and I.
[02:40:42] Speaker B: Offer it to someone else. And some candy wrappers.
[02:40:45] Speaker A: I keep those, but I give someone else the glasses.
[02:40:49] Speaker B: They're candy wrappers, not candy.
[02:40:51] Speaker A: Yep.
[02:40:51] Speaker B: Okay. You looked. You.
[02:40:53] Speaker A: I know.
[02:40:54] Speaker B: Are y' all looking at. Are y' all looking at her body? What did you say?
[02:41:01] Speaker A: She's taking the glasses.
[02:41:02] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:41:03] Speaker A: Okay, friends.
[02:41:06] Speaker B: You can.
I'll just tell you. You. You recognize. These are the glasses that Mr. Picado was wearing in the Missing Persons.
And the candy wrappers.
[02:41:19] Speaker A: Children completely oblivious to infanticide. I go.
And then I just start trying to eat the candy wrappers.
No, I'm Eating the wrappers.
[02:41:29] Speaker B: You see the shock holy symbol. You find that on her.
[02:41:35] Speaker C: You.
[02:41:36] Speaker B: You realize that her.
[02:41:38] Speaker C: So you can touch it.
Malad drops metal so you can touch it on.
[02:41:43] Speaker B: On her.
Under her cloaks, there's a plus two armor that she has.
Probably won't fit you, but I think turtles can wear.
Yeah, but I mean, you could give it to someone, sell it, whatever.
And on both of them you find a small coin. It looks like the same of those like gold coins of a small coin. Both of them have it with a crude drawing of a raven etched into it.
[02:42:12] Speaker A: Wait, two gold raven coins?
[02:42:15] Speaker B: Yeah, on both of the One on each of their bodies.
[02:42:19] Speaker C: I. I try to take the health potion.
[02:42:23] Speaker B: Does.
[02:42:25] Speaker A: Doesn't do anything for an hour, right?
[02:42:28] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't think for an hour.
From one hour it took any effects that remove a disease, allow the hit point maximum to return to normal. Dude.
[02:42:43] Speaker C: No one realized he had too many spells and crossed out lesser risk free.
Oh, but that wouldn't have helped anyway.
Yeah, he's remove disease.
[02:42:53] Speaker B: Is there anything else?
[02:42:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I'd like to start desecrating for something.
[02:43:00] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:43:01] Speaker A: Oh, I look at him and I go fire.
[02:43:04] Speaker C: I go look at the pedestal and the.
[02:43:07] Speaker A: I do make my. My intentions known. I would like. I would like to destroy whatever worship this is. It's blighting the plane. I'm listening to.
And I'm lighting a torch and setting a name of the realm.
[02:43:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:43:21] Speaker A: Are you okay?
[02:43:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:43:23] Speaker A: You said it was dry.
I say that is desecrating.
This cannot stand anymore.
[02:43:34] Speaker B: I.
[02:43:35] Speaker A: Yes, G.
Everybody here knows. Knows what? What dry cots are. But just. Just for the dead ladies.
Deadly Dryakart is the name of the realm where you live. The land that gives you life.
Can I start letting a banter.
[02:43:54] Speaker C: I go look at the bag.
[02:43:55] Speaker B: Okay.
[02:43:55] Speaker C: On the pet store.
[02:43:56] Speaker B: Do you.
[02:43:57] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[02:43:59] Speaker B: You go look at it. Do you. She dies.
Do a.
Do you want to do an arcana check to see if you.
You can tell anything? Yeah.
[02:44:11] Speaker A: Your guidance lesser restoration would have worked.
Three.
[02:44:16] Speaker C: That is a 24.
[02:44:20] Speaker A: Whoa.
[02:44:21] Speaker B: Okay. You know this okay because you rolled a 24. The DC to know kind of what it was was a 15.
So because you rolled a 24, we can explain it.
You know that this looks like some sort of modified Hags soul bag.
You know, with a 24 that if you were to always know about Hags.
[02:44:53] Speaker C: No matter who you.
[02:44:54] Speaker B: No matter in what universe. Abby knows about Hags.
[02:44:58] Speaker C: I know hags.
[02:45:00] Speaker B: With a 24, you know.
You know that a hag soul bag can like hold a soul. But this maybe has been modified in some way. It can hold more. You don't know. If you cast something like identify on it, you would be able to find out exactly how it works. But you know that it's some sort of bag.
[02:45:23] Speaker A: That's good. She has identified.
[02:45:24] Speaker C: She's gone.
[02:45:25] Speaker A: Dm. Is there a woman chasing a bat somewhere?
Oh, sorry. She's dead.
[02:45:33] Speaker B: Odds are even.
[02:45:36] Speaker A: Sure I like my odds.
I can dispel Magic 13 show.
[02:45:41] Speaker B: So she's Clara.
Clara runs in. This is what happens. Guys.
[02:45:46] Speaker C: Clara, can you identify this?
[02:45:49] Speaker A: Wow. You came in just a nick of time.
[02:45:50] Speaker C: Maybe. Don't touch it.
[02:45:52] Speaker A: I just.
I look at Kroll, I point at Clara, I do the finger across the neck.
[02:45:57] Speaker B: Question ends. Okay.
I'm sure Micah would be fine with me doing this. That's. That's the only reason that I'm playing this.
She cast identify on it and you guys learn that it's a modified hag soul bag. It can contain up to 25 souls until it needs to be emptied in a spiritual right by a cleric.
Dora. You don't know that, but that was her name.
This girl was this. This cleric was most likely planning to use it to give the souls of the people missing to Shar as a sacrifice to gain more power and continue strengthening her avatar for her to return to the realm.
You don't know an exact amount of how many souls she has already sacrificed, but you do find out that there are currently nine souls trapped in the bag.
[02:46:48] Speaker C: Is there a way to set them free?
[02:46:49] Speaker B: Do we know never to pass on meaning? If a cleric speaks the tongue or word of their own God, they can release the souls to rest and find their way through the veil home.
When she cast identify, did she just touch it or did she grab it?
[02:47:08] Speaker A: She just touched it. Can we say she licked it?
[02:47:10] Speaker B: Sure.
So she just. She just touched it. She also with your arcana check. When you were looking up there, you see when. Because you rolled a 24. I'll say that when you were up there, you saw some strange glyphs on the actual that deus. Okay. Like kind of around the bag, I guess.
[02:47:38] Speaker A: The spell magic on.
[02:47:41] Speaker B: What is this law magic? Can you tell me exactly what it does?
[02:47:44] Speaker A: Okay, and I just fell a magic that is level three or lower. And if it is not. If it is above level three. I have to make a check to do that.
[02:47:54] Speaker B: Okay. What kind of chat?
[02:47:55] Speaker A: I have to make an A with a. With the spell casting ability. Check. So what it would be so if it was a fourth level spell. Then I would have to get a 14 or higher. Or higher. And if you're like, well, I didn't use a specific spell, then you just pick a DC that you feel is important.
Oh, it's clear.
[02:48:18] Speaker B: So for four. Why is it 14 plus four if.
[02:48:21] Speaker A: It'S a four plus?
[02:48:23] Speaker B: Oh, okay. Okay. Okay then I know. Okay, then make a wisdom.
[02:48:28] Speaker A: I would love to make a wisdom man. Didn't the worries as well learn that lesson?
[02:48:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:48:34] Speaker A: I like to use my inspiration.
Tiny die.
Metal Die.
Worst.
[02:48:49] Speaker C: Can I. No, I can't.
[02:48:51] Speaker A: I.
Oh, do I care?
[02:48:55] Speaker B: Do I care?
[02:48:56] Speaker A: I don't have anything. I offer him my inspiration.
[02:48:59] Speaker B: Tell me.
[02:49:00] Speaker C: Tell me if this is. Tell me if this is cheating. Okay.
I have pacted the talisman and whatever. Whoever is wearing the talisman can do this. When failed an ability check Added D4 to the roll to see if he can succeed. So when I see that he's trying something, can I reach over and give him my talisman?
[02:49:18] Speaker B: Sure.
[02:49:21] Speaker A: Okay.
You should start rolling better.
I'm really, really trying.
14.
Was it for level four?
Just. Does Clara die?
[02:49:49] Speaker B: No, she didn't. She didn't take the bag off. She just touched it.
[02:49:54] Speaker A: Be funny. She died. Can I cast it?
[02:49:57] Speaker B: Can you cast it again?
Sure. The DC will raise. You have that.
[02:50:02] Speaker C: You can use thousand three.
[02:50:03] Speaker A: Well, two more times.
I just have one more spell of power, baby. All right, let's see. Oh, I didn't take magic out of. Yeah, you suck.
So I do. Of course it was the wrong game. Die. That worked.
[02:50:25] Speaker B: Yes.
[02:50:26] Speaker C: If it fails, you can add it to try and succeed.
[02:50:28] Speaker A: 17.
Did I fail?
Okay, 19.
[02:50:36] Speaker B: If it lands on it.
[02:50:40] Speaker A: Yo, that was a ninth level spell.
[02:50:42] Speaker B: Well, no, I raised the DC when he tried.
[02:50:45] Speaker A: Hey, that makes sense.
Okay. DM.
[02:50:50] Speaker B: So does it dispel. Do you know what it is when you dispel it? You don't know what it doesn't.
[02:50:55] Speaker A: Can I guess describe how he cast it this time?
[02:50:58] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:51:01] Speaker A: I think he's gonna grab the tooth and he's gonna like mutter and draconic for a little bit and then just slowly emanating out of the tooth its own, like spirit tooth comes out and then it keeps going and like duplicates around itself around the whole thing. Sick. And then it. After it connects all the way back, the teeth raise up with the sharp point down and just slam right into the. You said they were glyphs, right?
[02:51:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[02:51:27] Speaker A: And it just.
And a ball instead.
[02:51:30] Speaker B: So when. So when you do that.
So when you do that, when it slams into it. You see this, like a 60 foot radius around you, like, lights up.
[02:51:41] Speaker A: Okay.
[02:51:42] Speaker B: It like lights up and then it like flickers out and you hear this. Like.
[02:51:49] Speaker A: Y' all would have been screwed. I would have been okay, but you guys would have been screwed.
[02:51:52] Speaker B: You hear this? You hear this and it's like.
And it's this like black, like just this black murky dust, like, just falls and doesn't hurt you. Yes.
[02:52:08] Speaker A: Dm can we just for fun know what it was? Be the players.
[02:52:11] Speaker B: So what it was, if you had not dispelled this.
[02:52:17] Speaker A: I get to tell.
[02:52:18] Speaker B: Us Diodora had cats symbol on. Oh, on that. If anyone removed that soul bag.
Death.
She. It was the death symbol. And I had actually.
I had actually lowered it because I believe it's 12d6 or 10d6. Necrotic damage.
[02:52:40] Speaker A: Pulled out all the big guns and.
[02:52:42] Speaker B: I. I switched it to 5D6 because I didn't want to. I didn't want to kill you guys. Really scared or something, said the lady who cast harm.
So, yeah, it would have been the. It would have been the death symbol.
But, yeah, you now have the soul bag. And you know, from. From identifying that if you take this to a temple or cleric or whatever, they'll be able to release those souls so that they don't.
They don't go to the dark side.
[02:53:06] Speaker A: I look at Kroll and I go, that was a cool trick. You do that again.
I look at my pearl of power that I believe is possibly excrement of my friend Roderick, and I say, no, not yet.
Tomorrow I can do it again. That's okay. I light a different banister on fire and I go, we're gonna wreck this shark temple. Yeah.
Before we reckon, is there something else we should probably be looking for or is that the.
Was there anything up on the steps?
[02:53:44] Speaker B: Not that you see, it was that. It was those nine. Nine souls that were gonna go to char.
[02:53:49] Speaker A: Yeah. Terribleness. I am setting everything flammable on fire, but also wherever I can. I am repeatedly voiding my bowels in the temple, trying to desecrate it as I destroy it. I'd like to transform into what I think is the perfect image of Gadriel as I turn into a golden one dragon, medium sized with glimmering scales and all this stuff. And my shell kind of like refracting back into my body.
[02:54:15] Speaker B: That's amazing.
[02:54:17] Speaker A: And then I go around and just rip up stones and breathe fire on long pieces of stretches to melt off the terribleness of Shar and everything like that.
[02:54:26] Speaker C: I. I probably Leave and just go sit on the grass outside.
But. But we'll say that Mallon. We'll say that Mallon.
[02:54:40] Speaker B: You couldn't remember.
[02:54:42] Speaker A: What's my husband's name?
[02:54:43] Speaker C: He turns into a bear again and just. Just like.
[02:54:46] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[02:54:48] Speaker A: My husband, Rex Chop, is a bear. A.
Okay. I assume we go back to town.
[02:54:54] Speaker B: That's. Yeah. You guys can head back to Sun Valley or wherever you want.
You realize that there was no one in this town. It was all a farce. Everyone that were working or living in the shops was just Diadora and Grim, which were her and her brother's names on the Diodora and Grim Nisharik names.
[02:55:15] Speaker A: On the way back, I turn to everybody and I go, that town sucked. Can we not go back there?
[02:55:22] Speaker C: We don't have to go back there.
[02:55:23] Speaker A: Okay, thanks. So I don't think that town exists.
Are we, like.
Should we do this now? Are we, like.
Are we, like, buddies?
[02:55:34] Speaker C: It could be. If Clara ever comes back. We really could.
[02:55:37] Speaker A: I think she left again, following a different bat.
[02:55:40] Speaker B: Another bat. Another bat flew by, and she was like, got it. Go. I had to identify. I'll be back.
[02:55:46] Speaker A: I just thought it was weird the way she ran away on all fours, but.
[02:55:50] Speaker C: Well, Micah does that in real life.
[02:55:52] Speaker A: Who's Micah?
Which means he exists in a different.
[02:55:59] Speaker B: But he exists in all universes.
[02:56:03] Speaker A: Are we. Where are we gonna. Are we, like. Do we do this in the future?
[02:56:08] Speaker C: Oh, so we don't get any money or a house?
[02:56:10] Speaker A: It does seem.
[02:56:11] Speaker C: Is this the property?
[02:56:13] Speaker A: Oh, I don't want no one.
[02:56:15] Speaker B: No one owns it. Do you want to take it on you?
[02:56:18] Speaker A: Friends?
[02:56:20] Speaker C: You're saying that maybe the real property is the friends?
[02:56:23] Speaker A: The friends we made along the way?
I mean, I think of my friends as my property, so it's pretty great.
[02:56:29] Speaker B: Oh, boy, oh, boy.
[02:56:31] Speaker A: I would love to do it again.
Your voice is increasingly like mine. I like it.
[02:56:35] Speaker C: We're all just blending together.
[02:56:39] Speaker A: If anyone was gonna listen to our adventures, it would be so pleasant to hear.
[02:56:45] Speaker C: Next time, we should all have really proper British accents that are pleasant to listen to.
[02:56:51] Speaker A: British accent.
[02:56:52] Speaker B: And you guys.
You guys make your way back to Sun Valley.
You guys have a nice drink at one of the red brick taverns.
[02:57:00] Speaker C: I'm arguing with Mal, and I'm like, I see.
[02:57:02] Speaker A: Yawn.
[02:57:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
Jan is playing a set on her lute, and she's being accompanied by flute player. And it sounds like what you're hearing right now, and it's really lovely.
[02:57:16] Speaker A: You're doing great. Yeah. I vomit.
Hold on.
Hear me. Out.
[02:57:23] Speaker B: Muriel pressed the digitate.
[02:57:25] Speaker A: Hear me out.
I vomit three copper coins. Into the busking case.
[02:57:32] Speaker B: That's really nice of you.
[02:57:34] Speaker A: Into the busking case.
[02:57:37] Speaker B: And she keeps playing.
And that is the end of the first time. I remember the end.
The village beyond the woods.
You guys. You guys. You guys figured out the play. You did it. Good job.
[02:57:53] Speaker C: Should we solve it?
More sickness.
[02:57:55] Speaker B: There's no. There's no sickness.
Except for gas thrown ups.
I throw up. Is it?
[02:58:03] Speaker A: I throwed up. Mom.
[02:58:04] Speaker B: I throw up.
Thank you, listeners.
I guess that's the dm. Can I say it?
We want you guys to know that life is an incredible journey. Do it with friends. You guys. Do it with friends. Find your weird people and hang out with them.
Life is an incredible journey. And you are a very important part of it.
Skippity up.
Ta da.
[02:58:32] Speaker A: I should have started prepping this stop signal fast. We're still recording.
Neck muscles.
[02:58:40] Speaker B: Thank you.
Thank you. I'm so sorry. I ran to Lee.
